Blurb: Boris Markova, the eldest of his litter, follows his mate around the estate, unknowing how to approach him. Finally making contact after weeks of stalking, Boris endures accusations of fleas before being vacuumed like a cheap rug because he sheds. But Boris can’t be mad—he likes how his mate blurts things out whether they be good or bad.

Qbert Durriken is known throughout the estate as the germophobe cleaner. He doesn’t care, but that’s why he’s shocked when a hound starts following him around… And ends up knowing his name. Appreciating what it might mean, Qbert hopes they’re mates, and he plunges in, wanting to be happy. Boris overlooks the OCD compulsions, wanting a life with the sexy man—even if he washes his sheets the moment after they make them dirty.

Unfortunately, as Qbert focuses on purifying their budding relationship, trying to believe in fate, he drives a wedge between them. But can he see what he’s done before he loses Boris or will he stay blinded to what they both need to make their mating work?

Review: Each book in the Hounds of Hell collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Qbert is probably one of my favorite characters in this series. He is a very special individual. He has OCD and is a germa phobe. He cleans everything in sight. He has also been hurt in the past. Although most of the saved souls have been hurt one way or another.

When his parents were killed, he went into foster care homes. The moment he turned eighteen the last foster care had him committed. He noticed one of the hell hounds following him around but was not sure which one it was. He had though figured out that they were mates. The problem was that sex is dirty and he couldn’t stand to be dirty.

Boris was afraid to talk to his mate, so he followed him around. Then one day after his mate tried to vacuum him, he shifted back to human form. He realized that his little mate was a mixture of many things, but he would not give him up. These two have many issues to go through.

Each story shows what the other goes through and the pain they lived. However it just seems to focus on that and there is not a lot of action going on. It is like they are leading to something but nothing happens. The stories are great but I wished for more. Saved souls are those that their parents sold their souls before they were born.

Hounds of Hell work for hell, but they have changed sides to help the souls. It is their job to keep everyone safe, but they sure do make things spicy. Hot tempered and even hotter passion is pretty much what they have. I love how this series is not the instantly meet and fall in love. However they are keeping in the same pattern for each book. I was hoping for a bit more action and danger in them though.

I can’t wait to read the next story. When Flynn puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.
