Blurb: Out of the Cage: After a job meant to secure his brother’s freedom fails, a jackal shifter finds aid in the most unlikely of places.

Ranger Kinzington just wanted to help his brother, Yannis, out of a jam. To do that, he made a deal with the devil–his boss, Councilman Krakow. Everything goes to hell in a handbasket–fast–and he ends up on the wrong side of a huge pack of wolf shifters…and a demon! Taken to the pack house for questioning, Ranger just knows he’s facing certain death. His terror is only exceeded by his sadness that his failure could also mean the death of his brother. To Ranger’s shock, his interrogation and torture is interrupted by a stranger–a shifter claiming to be his mate–a shifter who isn’t even a wolf. Ashton is an American kestrel shifter–a small raptor who’s an alpha in his own right. While Ranger appreciates that Ashton seems willing to fight on his behalf, even if he can clear up the mess with the wolves, how can he manage to save his brother and find a life with his male mate, too?

Review: Each book in the Wolves of Stone Ridge collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This series is branched of to Kontra’s Menagerie, A Paranormal’s Love and so forth.

Ranger is a jackal shifter whose boss is basically evil. To keep his brother and his brother’s mate safe, he must kill and then set up the Wolves of Stone Ridge pack. To be precise, it is their alpha that is to be blamed for killing the council man. To bad he fails or should one say it is good news. It would seem he has found his mate.

Ashton is one of the bird shifters that the pack rescued from Russia. He is the alpha of his little group, but they still answer to Alpha Declan. He goes to give information and ends up finding his mate. A mate that is in trouble.

There is nothing better then a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. I love the way this author can put together a book that not only fascinates you but draws you in and keep your attention the whole time, but it will more than likely have you laughing your ass off. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives.

I absolutely love this book almost as much as I have loved the other’s in this series. I can’t wait to read the next story. When Charlie Richards puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. They do have a bit of a serious tone to them but there is a bit of humor in them that I love. I would definitely recommend reading this book.
