Blurb: In the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico, lives a man who has secrets. Levi Kape watches people at a bar nightly, writing things in his notebook and trying to blend in with the locals. His secrets keep him from getting close to anyone until Bobby Dawes comes off the road after a long haul in his 18-wheeler. After getting to know Bobby, he realizes he’d never been close to anyone. That was about to change.

Levi can’t settle down and not because he doesn’t want to, but because it could endanger his life. Bobby is a gentle, loving and strong man who doesn’t do commitment. He’s also a man who Levi wants more than anything, including his own safety.

Danger causes Levi to leave but he can’t forget the truck driver that drove into his life, changing everything. When Levi leaves, Bobby goes back onto the road, trying to forget the “Golden God” he’d fallen for, but with some help from friends with connections to dark people and places, Bobby finds his man and swears never to let him go again.

Can they save each other not only from the men who want Levi dead but from years of never seeking or finding the love they found in one another? Will the ultimate betrayal cost them the trust they need to make it work between them? Can Bobby save him, or be lost in a dark world alone

Review: This is the first book in this series and way to go! I was so happy to get to see some of my favorite characters from the Honkey Tonk Series. I loved to get to see more of Hunter, Ethan, and Carter.

Don’t worry if you haven’t read Honky Tonk because this stands alone perfectly. I do have to say I loved how Rain Carrington brought back a few of my favorites, but they didn’t upstage the new characters at all.
Road Runner is about Bobby and Levi. Bobby is an over the road truck-driver and grew up with most of the men in this town. Bobby goes to the Honky Tonk to see Carter Ethan and Hunter when he comes into town. He sees a cute guy that is new and Ethan goes into matchmaker mode.

Levi is new in town. He has a bit of crush on Hunter but knew he didn’t stand a chance with Ethan and Carter is straight. The minute he sees Bobby he is in lust. He likes the big brutish looking men. Levi has many secrets that could put Bobby and the town in danger.

I looooved this book. I never thought I’d like a character as much as Ethan, Rebel or Binks (the last two are from Rain’s other series Apishpa Creek) but I fell in love with Levi right off the bat. He may be subbish but he sure is a spitfire. I thought I liked big brutish guys too but I find myself drawn to smaller, subbish, yet bossy and smart characters. Levi is all of that and more.

I actually loved Bobby, too. He is everyone’s dream. Big, strong, handsome and a protector with a gentle heart.

I have to say the setting is a big part of this story and the way the author described things I could just envision all the environments, sights, sounds, and smells. I want to go to New Mexico now just to see if it’s this beautiful!

The story is intriguing as the characters. I thought I had it figured out pretty quick, but was I off the mark by a long shot. There were so many twists and turns. The ending shocked me a couple of times, but I was satisfied with the outcome. There lots of mystery and intrigue. The sex is also very hot. I rate it explicit since there is a lot of sex, but it’s not overly raunchy or anything like that. It’s very hot, and very sensual.

There is a little light BDSM, but no whipping or Masochism or anything like that and the D’s thing isn’t predominant. The relationship and sex between Levi and Bobby is absolutely steamy and sensual.

If you like big, strong brutish me with a gentle side, Knights in shining armor, brains winning over brawn, truck drivers, writers, interracial relationships, mystery and intrigue and some smoking hot mansex this is for you.

I also recommend you check out the Honky Tonk Series as well. You won’t be sorry! I can’t wait for the next one!

Blurb: What will happen to the wedding of the century in Mesa Rojo when Hunter and Ethan are forced to babysit a mobster, deal with the homophobic father of the groomsman, and overcome their own cold feet? Sparks!

Hunter and Ethan are back in the third and final installment of the Honky Tonk Trilogy. In this story, we revisit Westmore Ranch where Hunter is forced to have a man stay on the ranch who is a member of a west coast crime family. This man, Troy Castor, sets his sights on damaged Drew behind Reggie’s back. In steps Ethan to save the day but with heavy consequences.

The wedding is not going as planned as Reggie’s father blames Hunter for “corrupting his only son into homosexuality.” He starts rumors, causing the vendors to run for cover to avoid being in the middle of a war between the two largest cattlemen in the area. This and their own insecurities about being a man the other deserves has them both worried if they are even ready to commit for a lifetime.

When the day finally comes bullets fly. With the bullets come revelations, tears, and new dreams to reach for. But, will Hunter and Ethan be the ones reaching for them together, or will one have to set out on his own?

Review: This is the third and final book in this trilogy. Each book can be read alone and easily followed, but I suggest you read them in order to get full impact of all the characters( besides once you read one of them you will want all three) I do hope this isn’t the end of the story though since there are so many directions this could still go. I do want more of Cain and some of the others. I will say I loved how rain wrapped up the story with lots of excitement and a sweet satisfying ending.

This story is back at the Ranch with Ethan and Hunter preparing for their wedding. Hunter gets a call from the Carrillo family to call in his favour. They send Troy to hide out from Dante on the ranch (this bit is from book two but is explained enough in this story you get the gist of it.) Troy has a dark side and is a real bad guy he tries his best to wreak havoc with Ethan and Reggie and Drew.

There are lots of twists to this story. I will say that I felt the part of Troy was a bit rushed and I would’ve read more. I also felt that the part of Drew and his singing got mentioned this dropped( I am hoping it will maybe spurning a new series hint, hint since I would have loved a lot more of Drew.) but this didn’t affect the story for me I loved every nail-biting minute of it. As usual, the sex is hot, explicit, there was a bit less on the bondage and D’s, but it still was very hot, sensual and sexy and there is a lot of it.

If you like cowboys, gay weddings, surprises, lots of twists, bad guys, mobsters, hot mansex, cute kids, D/s relationships, bondage, lots of hot mansex and did I say Cowboys? This is definitely for you.

Review: I found this one hard to review. I kept bouncing between a four, to a three, to a four, so I finally decided that since it kept me on my toes it deserved the four.  None of this had to do with the story, it was all me.  The story is good. Very good. And I can’t wait for the next one.  So why all the indecision?  There was a lot I liked, and a couple of things I didn’t.

First of all, it started out with a bang.  Jack and the apparition of his lover intrigued me. I kept wondering if the story had some paranormal elements. I will say I would not consider it a paranormal. I loved that though Martin is long dead we still actually get to meet him and he is in the story a lot. I thought this was an ingenious way to describe a character from the past, drop backstory, and let us know our lead more.

Jack I liked, but I love a good broken man and Jack was that.  He is well liked and well-respected. Rebel I loved. But then again who doesn’t like the wild biker boy with sly charm. I did expect a bit more rebellion from Rebel but I loved him.

The story was good, with a bit of mystery. Though that was solved pretty quickly, I did sense a bit more intrigue coming from the new sheriff.  The story is basically a BDSM story and not a mild one. There is a lot of kink and fetish, so if that isn’t your thing, this may not be for you.   Now here is the little thing I didn’t like. At first, I think things moved too fast with Jack and Rebel. We went from Jack mourning his lover and being in a 3-year funk, to Rebel swooping in and then Rebel submitting in zero to sixty. BAM. But then it was very hot and sexy.  Closer to the end though the author acknowledged this fastness and explained it.  Then there was a little hint when we found the culprit of the crimes of something else I did not want to see.  It kept creeping in as a tease then swooping away.  I won’t say what but I will say it did not happen at least not yet and the tease is still there to taunt us into reading the next book. Which I will.

So, all in all this is a very good book. It will keep you on your toes and biting your nails for sure. It is very, very explicit and has some descriptive BDSM scenes. I will say, I usually am turned off by so much sex, but this was extremely hot and juicy and it kept me wanting more. Jack and Rebel are amazing together and they even made things such as using the bathroom hot… Yes, you must read this if you like fetishes and 24 -7 D/s lifestyles.

If you like BDSM, D/s lifestyle, fetishes, broken men healing, an all-over good story with a bit of intrigue and some very hot mansex this is for you

Review: Oh boy, was this ever good!  I love a good cowboy story and this was awesome!

Ethan is hitchhiking to California when he stops at a little town in New Mexico. He decides to rest a day or so and goes into   a small bar called Honky Tonk to get some food and hopefully a lay. Instead, he ends up with a job, a room at the bartender’s house and a crush on his boss.

I don’t know who I loved the most Ethan or Hunter.  Though Ethan is young, he seems to be very wise and know what he wants. I love his confidence.  Hunter is just pure perfection. A cowboy, a businessman, smart and a Dom. What else could you want?

This story is full of surprises. It is hot and sexy and yet sensual and sweet at the same time. There is plenty of conflict and interesting characters to blend with the sex making it a story you won’t want to put down.  As a matter-of-fact get ready to shop again, because there is a book two already out!

If you love cowboys, bartenders, short order cooks, ranchers, and BDSM this is definately for you. Did I mention cowboys and hot man-sex?
