Title: Grace Through Redemption Series: Spirit of Grace 03 Author: Adrian J. Smith Genre: FF Romantic Suspense Length: 252 pages Publisher: Supposed Crimes, LLC (December 1st, 2015) Heat Level: Low Heart Rating: ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts Blurb: This is the third and final book in the Spirit of Grace series, in which a beat cop, Grace Halling, tries to keep her city safe, hunt a serial killer, and give attention to her budding romance with the police chaplain, Amya.
Deputy Grace is back patrolling, and after a few months of quiet, murders of her comrades in blue begin again. Scared and determined, Grace follows every lead she can until she finds herself face to face with the barrel of a gun, only, this time, her finger is on the trigger
Review:Grace Through Redemption is book three and the final in the trilogy. Grace has endured a lot of loss over the past year. Each day she faces life and death situations and trying to separate her professional life as a police officer with her personal one.
This series each book is like three books in one. You have the storyline of Grace’s relationship ups and downs through all three. You also have the ongoing murders of the police force through all books, and then you have Grace’s daily work where each day you get one or several unique stories. Some are funny some are heartbreaking some horrendous.
The only thing I don’t like about how the book is written is that sometimes each chapter is the same day, next day or several days or weeks later. It’s hard to keep up with the time frame.
The stories are very interesting. I wish there had been more of Grace and Amya’s relationship and more closure on other storylines (Peter) at the end. All in all, this is an interesting book. Especially if you like police procedurals.
It was Okay for me.
If you like procedurals, quirky characters, suspense and F/F romance, you will like this book.

Title: For by Grace Series: Spirit of Grace 01 Author: Adrian J. Smith Genre: FF Romantic Suspense Length: 25 pages Publisher: Supposed Crimes (June 1st 2014) Heat Level: Low Heart Rating: ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts Blurb: Being a Sheriff’s Deputy is not all about saving lives and arresting criminals, and each day Grace wonders if she’ll make it home.
While kids at the schools Deputy Grace Halling visits see her as the knight in blue-cotton armor, people involved in the cases she is dispatched to have a different opinion. She has every confidence in her ability to do her job and arrest criminals. She easily takes down a knife-wielding woman and a drunken combatant teenager without hesitation. Everyone—victim, suspect, or witness—has a story to tell or to lie about, and Grace is never perturbed by their tales.
That all changes when she looks down the barrel of a gun. She loses confidence in her ability as a deputy, she loses trust in herself and fellow officers, and she struggles to stay afloat as shift after shift passes. Grace cannot find her rhythm of being a deputy again. And when the Police Chaplain unexpectedly barges into her life, her personal and professional lives are flipped upside down.
Grace struggles to find even ground, worrying that the next time she stares a murderer in the face will be the last.
Review:NOTE: This is a Police procedural and not a romance.
Grace is a female police officer whose past hasn’t always been the best. She has many friends on the force and isn’t out. She meets Amya the new chaplain and her life personal life changes. Will this affect t her job?
For me, the story starts out a bit slow as each chapter is basically a day by day accounting of her day at work. Sometimes minute by minute, move by move. I felt the description was a bit too much at times.
Now having said that. This is a pretty good beginning of a series. I really liked Graces character, and I think that was the saving Grace to this story (pun intended). There are some good stories in her daily tales that are heartwarming and show how concerned and caring Grace is.
I would have liked more of her relationship with Amya and Grace and more about how she met Crystal and their friendship as well. I guess I am saying I would have liked more of her personal life.
The ending was quite a dramatic and wow was I am not expecting that! I have to read the next one now, for sure!

Being a Sheriff’s Deputy is not all about saving lives and arresting criminals, and each day Grace wonders if she’ll make it home.
Grace struggles to find her even ground, worrying that the next time she stares a murderer in the face will be the last.
Parables and riddles can’t undo the confusion Deputy Grace Halling experiences after her close call with death. Each morning she wakes up, puts on a uniform that feels far more like a target, and goes out to enforce the laws and protect the innocent. While her comrades in blue are murdered one by one with each passing month, Grace pushes for a call to action from her Captain. Her worst fear has become a reality.
Learning to trust herself again wasn’t easy. Deputy Grace Halling is back patrolling, and after a few months of quiet, murders of her comrades in blue begin again. Scared and determined, Grace follows every lead she can until she finds herself face to face with the barrel of a gun, only this time her finger is on the trigger.

Review: Overall ♥♥♥♥this was a pretty good book with a wide variety of stories. Some were very unique and intriguing. The stories are centered on Valentines and dates that could have or do go very wrong. There are several genres, and different heat ratings so that there is a little something for everyone that likes FF and MM short reads. I have also included a separate rating and review for each book below.
Viral Valentine by L. M. Perrin FF Low heat ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts
Sometimes we set out to do things thinking it is cute or funny but do not think about the person involved. I am not a big fan of the funniest video or prank stuff and this story is a good example of why. Ellie thinks she is going to dinner on Valentines even though it’s with a stranger to find herself pranked. Paige one of the pranksters took a liking to Ellie and wanted the prank ended but Todd wouldn’t let up. Will Ellie forgive Paige?
I liked this story and would have liked more. It ended a bit so suddenly.
Date Blind by Geonn Cannon FF/Low ♥♥♥♥4Hearts Martha is waiting on a blind date when she finds out that her date Connie was her high school bully. This story took me back to my high school days of being bullied.
I liked how the characters developed through this story. I wanted more.
The Politician and the Pilot by Amber Kinsey FF/ Explicit ♥♥♥♥4Hearts Samantha is a politician sent on a punishment assignment by her boss and ex-lover. She finds herself enthralled with the young pilot Katie and after too much tequila in her bed.
This story is smoking hot! Not lot of plot but the sex scenes were actually good.
Bar Tryst by Rachael Orman FF/ Explicit ♥♥♥3 Hearts Vanessa is at a bar with her friends on Valentines she goes to the bathroom and Lisa starts talking to her. Later they end up back in the bathroom in hot sex.
This story had no plot and it just didn’t do it for me sex wise like the other. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t my cup of tea.
Quarter Life: Energy Feed by Adrian J. Smith Ménage FMM/FFM/ Explicit ♥♥♥♥4 Hearts Faye has been told the statue of the trapped troll actually will come to life and he will be able to give her answers. She hopes he can find her a witch.
This is a dark fantasy or paranormal story that was very intriguing I would love to read more of this. There is hot sex in a MMF and also a FFM with a voyeur.
Property of Cupid by Eva Lefoy MM/ Explicit ♥♥♥♥♥5Hearts
This was one of my favorite stories in the book. I loved the twist on cupid. I can’t give much away so I’ll just say read this it was awesome! I want more!
Private Dance by A. M. Leibowitz MM/ Moderate ♥♥♥♥♥5Hearts
Another of my favorites in this book. Alex finds himself babysitting for a friend on Valentines with his relationship in jeopardy. Before Phinn left on his business trip, he said some pretty cruel stuff and though they have talked, it out he still knows there is work to be done. He finds himself on a scavenger hunt with his little charges in tow and a very happy surprise at the end of the hunt.
I loved this it was awesome. I did have some questions and wanted more information such as why was Phinn going away so much and what their jobs etc. were but the story line was great, and the ending even greater! This one made the entire book worth reading!
The Last Mitzvah by Michael DuPuy ?/ No heat ♥♥2Hearts
I never figured this story out so I won’t say much. I couldn’t figure out who the character was at all or why he was at the Bar Mitzvah. I am assuming he was a transsexual form what I gathered but I am not sure. I was confused throughout the entire thing
I’ll say the ending shocked the bejesus out of me!
