Blurb: When Noah loses his life partner to kidney failure, he not only grieves personally, but he also needs a replacement to help run his restaurant business. After a couple of tryout failures, Noah eventually interviews the stunning Gavin Murray.

Gavin has everything needed to become the perfect general manager. He has the education, the experience, and the polish and sophistication required in a top executive. The only problem, however, is that Noah finds the man sexually attractive in a way that borders on pure obsession. He wants Gavin, but he tells himself that he can’t have him.

He’s still mourning Brett and he’s far from ready to move on with his life. If he had any sense, he’d turn down Gavin’s application and send him on his way.

Instead, Noah eventually agrees to give Gavin a three-month trial period by convincing himself the man is his only option to fill the position and that business comes first.

But will Noah be able to resist the daily temptation he now faces with Gavin in such close proximity?

Review: This title is part of The Second Time Around AmberPax Collection. So far book one is looking pretty good. I do hope that the second book is a bit longer in length and more to it. I wasn’t so sure what to think about it though over all. It starts out pretty good, but I want more to it.

Noah had loved his life partner and when Brett died, he just wanted to give up. For over a year he continues to work and miss the man he loved. Now he had to find someone to replace his lover at work. They had ideas to expand at work and now he knew he had to continue on with life. He just wasn’t expecting to want Gavin as he did.

Gavin wanted the job, but damn he wanted his boss even more. A chance encounter at the club and he wants him even more. Now all he has to do is to get Noah to see that he can love him without hurting his memory of Brett.

This was a cute story that will have you tearing up. To lose someone so important and to know you have to go on must be hard. I had a blast reading it and look forward to the next story. I just hope it has more to it.

Review: Enjoyable story about Matt who discovers that his new job has a ghost living there. Although to my knowledge, most ghosts don’t have complete conversations with anyone. Toby, the ghost, explains that he was killed in a home invasion. But didn’t give any more details than that. He wants to go home but can’t, so Matt attempts to help him when he discovers the house Toby lived in has been demolished.

Cute story about a human who grows closer to a ghost and decides to start a relationship with him since his employers over him a permanent job there. Glad Matt got rid of the cheating boyfriend, as he didn’t need that on top of everything else going on.

The scenery of the grounds and house where Matt worked were beautiful. The sex was hot and intriguing between Toby and Matt. Good read.

Review: This is part of a series and they should be read in order. It is also an extended Amber Kiss Read by seventeen thousand words. It is not available in paperback. I would have loved it more had there been more to this story, but it was pretty amazing. I also thought that it was going to be a true mystery show but it turned out to be more about romance than anything. It makes me look forward to another story in this series. I loved how it all came together. How two men find each other and love with just a tad bit of mystery to it.

Marcus was a Private Investigator who had just decided to take on a job from the chief of police. It meant looking into something that had happened in the past. And for that, he might just need a bit of help. His new and sexy neighbor seemed quite interested in more than just work. Now all he had to do is make his move. Jake had lost his job as a news reporter so when Marcus asked for his help he looked forward to it. That and he looked forward to what could happen with Marcus. Two hot and sexy men interested in each other makes for an exciting read.

If you like stories that will show you two exciting men with some major heat between them then this one is a good choice. I am not really sure about the fact that they just not only hit it off but also fall in love in such a short period of time, but I decided that I just didn’t care because it is one hell of a great read. I just wished it were longer, because it would be cool to see where these two go in the future. If you want a story to read on your break at work or just a short story to feel your day then I would recommend this book.

Blurb: This is part of the Tasty Treats AmberPax Collection. However, it can be read alone. Pete Letouche and Mitch Ravello lusted over one another in high school. Then on prom night, a couple of drinks gave them the courage to put their thoughts into action and share their first sexual experience. With Pete’s father chief of police and Mitch’s reputed to be the local crime boss, however Pete knew there could never be anything more between them than that one night. Shortly thereafter, Pete left town to train as a master chef, which led to him working at different hotels across the country. But during that time, he never forgot Mitch, and he also never lost sight of his childhood dream to own a gourmet food shop like his grandmother’s family once owned.

Now, ten years later, Pete has returned to town, and his shop is both a reality and a success. He’s on top of the world, until Mitch walks into the shop and announces he’s taken over the note Pete signed for the down payment on the building.

Pete knows Mitch’s father suffered a heart attack and is in a coma, but did Mitch take over the family business of loan sharking and shaking down local business owners? Mitch says not, but Pete has no way of knowing if Mitch is telling the truth. And to make matters worse, the lustful feelings they once shared seem alive and well. Pete can’t help but wonder whether his feelings for Mitch are real or just warmed-over old memories.

When Mitch invites him to dinner at his place, Pete decides to go. A private, face-to-face meeting could be the perfect opportunity to sort out the present and put the past to rest.

Review: It’s Complicated is a very cute little story. You get caught with the first paragraph and you can’t stop reading it to the end. However, it ended to short and now I want more of it. I was surprised by it, because at first with the way they acted I wasn’t too sure, how it would turn out. Pete has always like Mitch when they were in school, and then on prom night they spent the night together. Knowing the fact that his father was chief of police and Mitch’s was supposed to have been a crime boss, he didn’t think they should make anything of it. So Pete left town, went to college, and became a chef for many hotels throughout the country. However, he never forgot Mitch.

Finally owning his own place he thought he had it all, till Mitch walks in and tells him he now owns the note to the store. Pete said some hateful things thinking maybe Mitch had taken over the family business. Pete comes off as a jaded man and really doesn’t want to take any chances. Then Mitch invites him to dinner and he accepts.

These are two characters that you would fall in love with or want to smack them upside the head. They are both stubborn males who feel more about each other than they are saying, or at least Pete isn’t saying. Mitch is trying to show him how he feels, and soon Pete caves. The sex is amazing and hot, kind of like setting the sheets on fire. I wished that there had been more. It was to short of a story for my loving it.

I would recommend this story to those who love short stories with a little bit of anger, frustration, two sexy men, the hint of danger or illegal activities, and a very hot sex scene. It was told with such the perfect tone that you can’t help but get caught up into. Christiane has a gift for storytelling and I cannot wait to read the rest of this series.

Review: When stubborn pride gets in the way of true romance…I just get irritated.

Not only does Michael start this nonsense once, be reverts to it after Drew takes steps to help make them a more permanent couple, and reduce some financial stress by finding an apartment that he hopes both can share. Pride gets in the way, but I understand that when to very independent men are trying to adapt to what it means to be in a partnership with each other.

Relationships involve give and take, compromise, but will each be able to make a compromise? I think it’s very important to read the first book in this series, Raindrops and Roses, otherwise you won’t’ get much out of it.

I was entertained enough to want to read the rest of the series, and can’t wait to find out some more about the supporting characters!

Blurb:  Paul knew Nico was special the moment they exchanged that first glance at Termini station in Rome late one hot summer afternoon. And when it was announced their train had been cancelled and travel suspended until further notice, they explored their feelings over dinner and spent one perfect night of passion in a nearby hotel.

Early next morning, when Nico found a flight cancellation and took off, all Paul knew about him was his first name.

Two years later, Paul hasn’t forgotten Nico, and now when they meet again at another train station in London, the chemistry is still there. Nico believes Fate brought them together, and is ready to close his eyes and jump into a relationship. Paul, however, believes they need to be sensible, to first check the water, and then take it one-step at a time. Which man’s strategy will prevail?

Purchase Link:   http://www.amberquill.com/AmberAllure/OnePerfectNight.html

Review: So this is Paul’s story since he provides the narration and it’s told from his point of view.  The premise of the story is one of two men who are like ships passing the night who then miraculously get a second chance.  It builds the premise for an epic love story. The men have a very strong physical attraction to each other, which they indulge in whenever they meet.  However, after the second meeting, which is two years after the first, they both seem to realize that they’d like to see where they can take the relationship.

The relationship between the men progress VERY quickly – more quickly than most people would consider healthy, but the reader must bear in mind that this is an epic love story based on fate making sure that Paul and Nico will find eternal love. The HEA is spelled out in the story and you know the men have strong feelings, but you get the feeling that there may be issues down the road because the two men really don’t know each other at all – the love they feel may very well be chemistry and sex induced.

There is a lot of discussion of Paul’s job that seems to fill space rather than really contribute to the story, and then there is an entire scene written about Nico’s job and I’m not certain of the purpose of that either.  With that said, the story is not a sit on the edge of your seat page turner, but it is fun to watch the two men meet for the second time, and to see the story of their first meeting in flashbacks offered by Paul.

The reader will enjoy Nico and Paul.

Blurb: For TJ Delaney and Cole Labelle, it’s time to turn their lives around and get real.

TJ needs to exchange his playboy lifestyle for a job and prove he’s a responsible adult rather than a spoiled, rich brat.

Cole needs to free himself of his family’s control and their paranoid fears by proving being gay like his father is the only thing he and the man who gave him life have in common. And that by being openly gay he won’t cause them public embarrassment as his father did.

Can TJ and Cole achieve their goal of “getting real” and also find love in the process?

Review: Tj is a rich young man who his dad cuts him off and tells him he needs to get real. Get a job, learn to be something and quit partying all the time. He goes out and finds a job setting up plants and maintaining them in a new office tower.  He hopes to see the hot guy with a bad attitude at the local nursery, but doesn’t. When he starts his job, the man in charge of the office building is none other than hot dude with attitude. He soon finds out that he is gay and interested, but very much in the closet. Tj convinces Cole that he needs to get real and live his life and not let his family control it.

This is a very good story of two young men having to learn to face reality. It’s a sweet hot romance that develops quite well and very naturally. The storyline is good, the characters are realistic and interesting, and it’s a fast fun read.

Recommendation I recommend this for anyone that likes an office romance, a story of two young men figuring out what they want in life and a sweet, hot romance.

Blurb: Private investigator and ex-cop, Greg Stewartson, is on his way to bed when his Hollywood-producer brother, Vance, shows up on his doorstep. With him is the handsome, sexy, and blond Tim Fensham, the brother of Vance’s latest girlfriend, movie star Petra Lianne. Vance says Petra went missing more than a month ago after last being seen in Amethyst Cove. He has new information, but the police refuse to follow it up. They’ve closed the case, declaring the actress “Missing, Presumed Dead.” But Vance and Tim don’t believe Petra is dead and ask Greg to take the case. After Greg agrees, Tim stays to help him find Petra, while Vance returns to L.A. Greg doesn’t want or need help, and wishes Tim would leave, too. He’s attracted to the man and figures the feeling may be mutual, but he doesn’t mix business with pleasure and he doesn’t need the distraction of Tim staying in his house. He also doesn’t like the way Tim keeps trying to interfere in the investigation, or the unexpected moves Tim puts on him during a power failure. Still, Greg can’t tell Tim to take his case elsewhere for fear of upsetting Vance, but he does tell Tim to back off. The trouble is Tim is not a very good listener.

Review: Okaaayyyy.  Greg is hired by his brother Vance and Tim Fensham to find Tim’s missing sister. While he investigates he puts off his attraction for Tim, although Tim continues to tempt him.

This story is from Greg’s POV and although the mystery and investigation is interesting, Greg’s inner thought process and inner monologue bored me silly.   I never felt the connection that he seemed to develop with Tim. He didn’t seem to have a very high opinion of Tim either other than for his looks. It felt more like a case of two men finding each other reasonably attractive and then getting their rocks off and Greg is definitely a selfish lover.

The mystery is good though and is interesting to watch as Greg unravels the disappearance of Tim’s sister and connects the dots.

I’d recommend this for the mystery alone as there is no romance, some mediocre sex and a pretty poor ending.
