Review: The band Bam Kiseu consists of band members that are vampires. Ki-Tae and his brothers are a tight family along with the father who saved then from their lives at early ages. When a group of university students win a contest they work together with the band for a period of time. Jin-Woo is part of this group.

A threat soon appears, threats are made against Ki-Tae and Jin-Woo. The family and students work together to protect the ones threatened and discover who the culprit is. This was a wonderful blend of several cultures. The most unique and interesting aspect about the story is it told from the band members and the students different POV’s.

I was intrigued to read about each characters thoughts and feelings as the story progressed. I truly enjoyed the story and learning about everyone and their abilities. The different couples was an added bonus but I do admit I was a little put off by the female in the group as I did not want to read m/f.

There is a glossary at the beginning of the book to help with certain words which was a great help as I read. Great story with a lot of depth and drama.

Great read

Blurb:  Kai O’Donnell hates Christmas. It’s not the blaring commercialism or the too-perky people. Being an interior designer, Kai can handle most people. But during Christmas, he has to deal with a man who gets under his skin like no other: Cade. Handsome—hand-me-a-towel-because-I’m-drooling-sexy—sarcastic Cade.

Cade Randall has been in love with Kai O’Donnell since setting eyes on the auburn-haired Native American. Falling back on his teenage habits, Cade picks on Kai every time they’re together. He wants Kai under his Christmas tree in nothing but a big red bow, his to keep forever, but Cade’s shenanigans may ruin something beautiful in the making.

Review: Kai is a man with secrets from his family.  Afraid to disappoint, he has lived a lie for years.  Cade is a man who is running from a family who has disappointed him and runs into Kai whose secrets will probably keep them apart.  Fearing more rejection, Cade resorts to middle school antics to keep his feelings for Kai at bay.  Being in close quarters does not help the natural animosity between Kai and Cade. Instead, it will take a night of explosive sex to bring Cade and Kai’s relationship to an emotional head (so to speak)!

Once Kai is forced to confront his feelings for both Cade and his family, he will find that being true to himself will free him from his own fear and allow him to find his happiness with the one person he never thought would be in his corner or there for him.

This is a standard coming out tale with a twist of middle school antics thrown in.  Watching Kai and Cade interact as the story climaxes is well worth their angst.  Their characters are both sympathetic and the secondary characters within Kai’s family add a great foil to these two men as they find each other.

Readers will thoroughly enjoy.

Review: This was a very, very sweet title. The genre is one of my favorite and I couldn’t help but lean into it a bit more. However, the story itself won me over with its effortless flow and wonderful characters.

Perry is a rich kid having a very odd life. His mother’s expectations drown him and his introverted nature causes him more trouble with her than he’d want. All Perry wants is a quiet place to work on his machines and a man to love and love him back. No, not just any man. Perry wants Alex, the teashop owner and a lovely sexy man. But his shyness won’t allow him to go and claim the man so Perry reverts to his machines, creating one each week and anonymously gifting them to his object of love. One thing is certain; Alex has no idea who Perry really is.

And dear Lord what an adorable character Perry was. Besides being absolutely stunningly beautiful, his shyness, blushing, and stuttering just melted me. He was definitely one to capture your attention, even more so when he finally accepts Alex’ invitation for dinner. Somehow, what happened next was a delightful surprise. As for Alex, well he was the kind of man one would love to have by one’s side. Quiet yet confident and strong when wanting something, Alex was just the perfect match for Perry. Their chemistry was fantastic and it showed extremely well in their lovemaking, making passion a tangible thing through the pages. Hot is perhaps an understatement for the quality of their love.

The only thing that put a damper on my fun was the end. Predictable though it was, I think I minded most the 180 turn Perry’s mother made. The final scene felt a bit too sweet and corny for my taste and all that tear shedding had me shuddering and uncomfortable.

Overall, though this was a perfectly adorable read one I don’t hesitate to recommend to romantics and Steampunk lovers out there.
