Blurb: Tai wishes Master Lucas wasn’t such an adamant Top, but he’s also crushing on the sweetly submissive Elliot. Could he have it both ways?

Tai has hit a wall in life. From all outward appearances, he’s the guy who has everything—looks, personality and money. But the modeling gigs are drying up and he still hasn’t found that special someone to call his own. The part-time work at Kiss of Leather is quickly becoming full-time to prevent the drain on his dream-business savings.

Elliot fell for the stunning Tai from almost the moment he met him. If he wasn’t so self-conscious about the weight he’s recently put on, maybe he could work up the nerve to make a move. However, not only is he a virgin who’s never done a scene before working in a BDSM club, but he’s also sure that Tai has a thing for Master Lucas. There’s no way he could ever compete with the handsome silver fox.

When Master Lucas confesses to Tai that he doesn’t only see him as a hookup and offers him a contract, there are a ton of considerations. They both realize that serious compromises would have to be made for them to have a relationship. But what if they found a third, a sub who could bottom for Tai and also do TPE with Master Lucas? Once the idea takes hold, Tai knows just the perfect boy for them both. Even better? He’s right there at Kiss of Leather, and Tai can’t wait for Elliot to turn them all into a throuple.

Reader Advisory: This book contains a scene of assault, and attempted sexual assault.

Review: Master Lucas has his eye on bratty model Tai but Tai is not sure as Lucas only tops and he likes both ways. Lucas offers a contract and Tai counter offers for a third, Elliot. Elliot has a few issues of his own.

I thought it was cute the way Tai got tongue tied at times trying to talk to Elliot. Good thing Lucas does not have the same problem. These three men were hot together. I especially liked how Tai and Lucas took their time explaining things to Elliott as the story progressed.

Great read.

Chuck isn’t about to let one of the key figures behind Corey’s kidnapping get away from him again. Everything he and Stone have discovered through their months-long investigation is about to come together. However, when Chuck follows the suspect to a shipyard, it’s not only his own life that’s in danger.

Master Hunter is officially part-owner of Kiss of Leather, so he’s thrilled to raise a toast in celebration now that the mystery of Corey’s kidnapping has been solved. However, he can’t help but feel left out. Everyone is paired up except for him. He’s never believed in monogamy before, but after Tobey unexpectedly left Kiss of Leather and no one knows where he’s gone, did Hunter make a horrible mistake by not sharing his true feelings?

Tobey has been miserable ever since leaving West Hollywood and going back to Idaho. After breaking his own promise to himself by falling in love with his trainer, Tobey impulsively left Kiss of Leather because of something awful Master Hunter said. But things at home are worse than ever and he’s come to realize that those who are related to him by blood aren’t necessarily his true family. The only place he’s ever felt he truly belonged was at Kiss of Leather.

Tobey has to face Hunter if he goes back to Kiss of Leather and Hunter has to figure out what he really wants from life and love. It takes a charity slave auction to show them what they’ve both been too stubborn to see.

Review: Facing Fears involves two key elements. The resolution to an on going case of missing people and those involved as well as Tobey and Hunters story. I have to say I have enjoyed the investigation of Corey’s disappearance. Suspenseful, edge of your seat with a clear take on what, why and how things came to be.

Hunter and Tobey on the other hand have a rocky start with Hunter saying some hurtful things that send Tobey fleeing home rather than continuing on at Kiss of Leather. I wanted to pop Hunter upside the head for his remarks.

After many help the two things become resolved. I enjoyed this series and the dynamics between characters as the series progressed.

Great read.

Blurb: Liam yearns for Master Neal’s harsh touch, but Neal fears that a part-time Master can’t give a full-time sub everything he needs.

Liam’s world crumbled after the unexpected death of his Master. Prone to panic attacks and other social anxiety, Liam doesn’t believe he’ll ever find another Master who would be willing to take on such a challenged sub full-time. Too distraught to go back to Club Consequence, where he met the man he thought he’d be with forever, he decides to give Kiss of Leather a try.

After doing a piercing gig at Kiss of Leather, Master Neal signs up to become a member. On the night he performs a demo as the final step to being accepted, he meets a sub who brings out his protective urge and makes his heart come alive. Neal isn’t scared off by Liam’s anxiety or social awkwardness. On the contrary, he finds the sub to be refreshingly honest and endearing.

They try out a scene to see if they’ll click, and their connection is everything they’d both hoped it could be. However, the road to love and a Total Power Exchange isn’t an easy one. Neal still hasn’t discovered all there is to know about Liam’s traumatic upbringing, and he’s not sure if he’d ultimately be the right Master for Liam.

Both men are forced to face the truth about love, life and what it means to share it with another person. But before Liam can start over with Neal, he’ll have to cut the cords to his past and trust that Neal will be there to catch him when he does.

Reader Advisory: This book contains references to a traumatic and abusive upbringing.

Review: Liam and Master Neal are perfect for each other. I loved how despite the fact Neal is new to the scene he still took Liam as a sub knowing he needed a full time master. Liam is so sweet and endearing. He feels lost and alone at first after the death of his Master.

With the help of friends and a knew club he finally feels like his life is slowly getting back on track especially with Neal’s help. The chemistry between these two is apparent from the moment they meet and continues throughout.

I liked the side story as it added an extra element to an already great story.

Damien misses being home more often with his lovers and Guard has been working on breaking down James’ defenses. Can they make their own fantasies come true?

As always, three different fantasies are granted through Rainbow Island.

Tim is rich and bored. A ‘sometimes sub’, he’s searching for something more. Review: I loved reading how each couple worked together to find out what works and does not work for them. Some are as different as night and day.

I think Damien, James and Guard were the couple I looked forward to the most after the obstacles they have been through before. I was hoping to see them together for good. Mike and Brendan were perfect together in their quest to find someone. Mike never having experienced BDSM and Brendan wanting someone new seemed the right mix for these two.

Angus and Robbie want to try something new in their relationship and so go to explore at Rainbow Island. I liked how you could love yourself in Rainbow Island without being judged. Not to mention being taught the right way to do things.

All in all it was a wonderful read with plenty of hot scenes.

Blurb: Come to Rainbow Island, where all your sexual fantasies will come true.

James, Guard and Damien are back, still running their resort, where every fantasy, no matter how perverse, may come true. The three men continue working out the bumps in their threesome, but when it comes to their clients, they’re a well-oiled machine. Which works perfectly for the three new couples arriving in paradise.

Cameron is losing his sight, and he knows that he’ll be useless once it goes completely. He’s cashed in everything to leave his life behind for one last fling. Xander is on the island for a fantasy, too. He’s looking for someone to love on, someone to care for and Cameron seems to be the perfect match, but can they make it work?

As a writer, Ben always writes the script, which is why his fantasy is to give up control. He’s told his fantasy can’t be fulfilled, so he settles in for a relaxing vacation on an island paradise instead. Is he really as safe as he thinks he is?

Finally, Leo is a consummate top, always wanting to better his technique. He wants to know what it’s like to be a sub, but it won’t be easy for a Dominant to bottom for five days. Leo will do his dead-level best to measure up—his only worry is who the boys choose to be his fantasy top…

Don’t miss out on these fantasies come true.

Reader Advisory: This book contains a scene of fisting as well as scenes of kidnap and dubious consent.

Review: James, Guard and Damien are back at it again on Rainbow Island with three more couples looking for fantasy and love. Not to mention the struggles they are face in their lives. I have to admit I am wondering whether or not James, Guard and Damien will make it for the long haul.

Cameron and Xander seemed like a great mix. Even though Xander struggles to really connect with Cameron and his depression at times these two seemed to overcome their obstacles and shine.

Ben’s fantasy was a little bit more dangerous as he wants to be kidnapped and have all control taken away. Tip is chosen for this fantasy and I found that to be weird as Tip is a kind and gentle man. He did not seem to fit to me.

Finally Leo and David’s story was one where David has been in love with Leo for years and only now has admitted it after being involved with Leo at the island. I love the stories but I would have liked more story than sex as is the case with these books.

Review:  It is a wonderful thing when an author is able to strip a character of one of their basic senses, and yet still completely convey a full array of emotions from that character. That is what Michael does with Lucien.

Lucien is a blind, gay vampire. Having lost his sight not long after he was turned, he’s had to learn to rely on his other senses. Kieran is a college professor that Lucien stumbles upon one night at a poetry reading. It’s obvious immediately that Lucien is gay, but it takes a little longer for Kieran to realize he’s blind. He quickly learns that it’s not a disability though…at least not for Lucien. What he lacks in vision, he makes up for in touch. He plays Kieran’s body like a violin, tweaking every sound, every emotion, and every tingle with the tips of his fingers.

After a couple of very intense nights of sensually passionate trysts, Lucien decides that Kieran is the one he wants to spend eternity with. But, eternity is very long time. If Kieran believes his story, believes what Lucien tells him he is, will he want to spend eternity with him?

This book should be sold with a fan! The sensuality and passion jump off the pages. I was a little disappointed that we got a glimpse into Lucien’s past, but nothing into Kieran’s. My major complaint was the story was way too short. I could take a full-length novel with these two characters. If you are looking for a short, sexy read with some guy on guy action that will make your toes curl…this is the book for you!

Description:  An ultimatum from his dying father forces Prince Accolon to give up his plans to enter the church to fulfill the marriage contract left behind by his slain brother. If he refuses, his father will strike at him and deny his entry to the church, but if he accepts, he loses his freedom forever.

Across the land, Rhys faces a similar problem. Discovered in an indecent position with a stable boy by his furious father, Rhys makes a fool’s bargain. He has one month to steal the crown of Wales, or die. He disguises himself as a manservant and sets about learning what he can of the royal family.

Everything goes according to plan–until Rhys meets Accolon. All Rhys wanted was to save his skin and steal the crown. He never planned on losing his heart. But with Hunters on his tail and a rival out for blood, Rhys cannot allow himself to fall for a firm body and kind smile, no matter how much he wants to.  Nor can Accolon understand the strange primal urges this Briton awakens in him, no matter how hard he fights against them.

A triangle of historic proportions where love, lust, politics, and murder sleep in the same bed. Blood will be spilt, lands will be lost, and no one’s heart will be safe if The Consort has his way.

Review:  This was definitely my surprise read of the week.  Before I start a book, I know I’m going to review, I usually check out the reviews on Goodreads and/or Amazon.  There were no reviews for The Consort on either site.  That surprised me.  I would have expected a book released last December to have at least one review…even if it was awful.  But, there was nothing.

I started this book expecting the worse.  What I found instead, was a very well written historical love story that drew me in from page one.  My first impression of Rhys was that he was an arrogant toad with more bravado than good sense.  It didn’t take long to figure out that he was doing what he had to do to survive an extremely dysfunctional family.  And Accolon isn’t much better.  He’s pulled out of his sacred space kicking and screaming.

Accolon has been taught to suppress his sexuality.  It broke my heart to watch him struggle with embracing the fact that he was a sexual being; worthy and deserving of love and passion.  Rhys however was an excellent teacher.  On the other hand, Rhys has learned that sex is just another weapon, a tool to be used for his pleasure and advancement.  Kissing Accolon shakes him on a soul level as he learns there can be more to sex then just sweat and release.  The sex between these two is beyond hot.  There is lots of it, but it is sprinkled into the plot in all the right places.

What I liked most about these characters is that they were realistic.  Neither man suddenly became a hero.  Rhys doesn’t suddenly become a saint and Accolon doesn’t suddenly become a man worthy to be king.  I loved the intrigue that was woven throughout the entire story.  There were plenty of plot twists and turns to keep me up well past my bedtime.  I really enjoy knowing the identity of the bad guy (or girl), and anticipating how they are going to get busted in the end.

I don’t know why The Consort hasn’t gotten the attention that it deserves.  Ms. Malone is definitely fresh voice within the historical genre and I will definitely look out for her next offering.  I highly recommend this book.

Blurb:  Mason Stratton was well known in his circles as a risk taker, with his devil may care attitude. Kenneth Moretti just lost his father and his family counted on him to save the family business. But he has to deal with the cavalier Stratton. Stratton has an idea to remove the family burden. It was a simple plan, Kenneth could work it off… in bed.

Review:  This is my 3rd Alex Berry book and my favorite.  Mason thought he held all the cards, but it wasn’t long into the relationship before he realizes that he is straight up A-Dick-ed.  Kenny has it just as bad.  It’s easier for him to think that he is sacrificing himself for his family, than to admit that Mason is the perfect partner for him.  Neither man is willing to admit that their relationship is deeper than just casual smoking’ hot sex.  My Kindle was in danger the entire read.  Every time one of them hid their feelings or assumed the worst about the other, I just wanted to throw it across the room.  I loved this book and highly recommend.

On a side note:  I wish that I knew more about the author, but he/she is a phantom.  The books are available on Amazon and Smashwords and there is a page up on Goodreads.  But, this is the first writer I’ve found with no Twitter, Facebook or MySpace.    If you now Alex please tell to contact us…we would love to interview this elusive scribe.
