Dreamers’ Destiny

by

Tempeste O’Riley

Liam Grady is the owner of the Feathered Quill, a quirky little bookstore in Asheville, and—though he doesn’t realize it yet—a dream walker. His last relationship failed almost a year ago, and he’s not had the interest or nerve to pursue anyone he’s met since.

Cameron Danu is a tattoo artist from rural Georgia. Cameron is left without a job after his boss, Jose, is forced to close the shop after a heart attack. When Cameron learns Jose has set up an interview for him at a small tattoo parlor in Asheville, he hopes for a fresh start in a new town.

Fate brings Cameron and Liam together, and they realize they’ve met before—in their dreams. A chance encounter and a winged tattoo might lead them to their destiny—if fear doesn’t turn their dreams into a nightmare.

Review: This is the second book in Unfinished Business.

Jess and Eli are happy and content with their lives. I really liked this couple. They seemed genuine in their feelings for the other.
But like all relationships there are issues that need to be worked through. One seems to come around in the form of Travis, Eli’s friend, who is also having issues with his husband and decides to get away for a while to think.

I found it funny and amusing that even Clay and Silas promised to leave Travis alone that was not the case. They sent him erotic dreams that actually helped him with his own relationship in the end.

I loved how the story flowed smoothly from the ghosts intermingling with the living. It was a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Blurb: The summer after high school, Eli Dunn and Jess Early explore an abandoned brothel in the rural Florida Panhandle. They’ve always kept their mutual attraction unspoken, but in an upstairs room at the end of the hall, everything changes.

Suddenly, all the longing Eli and Jess have tried so hard to conceal bursts free, and passion like they’ve never experienced comes to light, along with the ghosts of Clay Bailey and Silas Denton, murdered owners of the brothel. And Clay and Silas have no problem possessing Eli and Jess in order to express their love for each other, without thought for the living.

Deeply disturbed by the experience, Eli and Jess part and try to get on with life as best they can. But after several years, Eli returns to Florida, only to find that Jess has made some questionable choices. These eventually lead him back to the abandoned house and a confrontation with Eli. Old scores are settled and Eli and Jess reunite.

But Clay and Silas’s ghosts aren’t finished yet, for they’ve always believed in the power of open and honest love.

Review: I loved this book. Jess and Eli have been in love with each other for a while and after a passionate encounter Jess leaves for the army only to return four years later much more in tune with his feelings. Jess and Eli knew it wasn’t the right time for them as they had to experience life.

Clay and Silas’ story saddened me as they were in a time where the feelings they felt for each other were hidden. The fact that they were murdered in their bed horrified me greatly. I wasn’t surprised when these two decided to possess Eli and Jess so they could be together physically again.

Both couples showed how much they loved the other even though things didn’t always go as they thought they would. This book was a fantastic read with a great plot that takes the reader into a glimpse of four lives of which two were snuffed out unexpectedly and the circumstances surrounding their deaths. Well written scenes that leaving you laughing and other that leave you holding your breath and sitting on the edge of your seat awaiting the outcome.

Fantastic read.

Highly recommended.
