Blurb: Since they settled in L.A. to run their label three years ago, Jett’s restless nature and Goldie’s isolating fame have damaged their former closeness. Passion brings Jett home every night, but tabloid rumors and growing distance between them leave Goldie afraid of losing Jett forever. While Goldie secretly longs for a wedding, a baby, and more control in the bedroom, Jett pines for his old life in New York.

When Cole, a young man who claims to be Jett’s son, arrives at their mansion, Goldie hopes this is his chance for a family…but Cole has a star crush on Goldie and nothing but anger toward his alleged father. Jett’s jealousy of Goldie’s growing bond with the hot 18-year-old could lead to disaster.

There’s no doubt that Goldie and Jett love each other, but sometimes love isn’t enough. Will Goldie find the courage to confess his needs, or will what’s left unspoken destroy what might have been?

Warning: Slight blood play.

Review: This story is part of a series and is best read in order. Goldie (Billy) and Jett (Jethro) have been settled in L.A. for the past three years.  But, things aren’t rosy, as Goldie’s isolation keeps him home. Jett is plastered across the tabloids in cozy intimate pictures with women and rumors abound about Jett’s fidelity. Goldie fears he’s losing Jett and is scared to ask for what he really wants, and Jett misses his band mates and New York. When Cole turns up on their doorstep claiming to be Jett’s son, Goldie snatches at the chance for family, but Cole has a huge crush on Goldie and anger for Jett that begins to drive a wedge between Jett and Goldie. Can Goldie’s and Jett’s love stand up to the unspoken words between them?  Or will they finally open their hearts and talk about what they truly want?

Okay, so I didn’t read the first book, so at first I fumbled about a bit as to the characters.  So advice to all, read the first book.  Although, I got a feel for the characters in the end, I ended up with a solid image of Johnny Rotten with black hair for Jett (I couldn’t help it). Coming into this story with no background made me wonder why Goldie was with Jett. But, as I got deeper into the book, you can see why they both love each other.  but the problem they are both having is a lack of communication and it takes Cole coming onto the scene to shake them both up and begin to talk.

I really enjoyed this story, even if I was a bit wary at first.  Jett became my favorite character.  Even though he was clueless about what Goldie wanted. But, because he stepped up to the mark not just for Goldie, but for Cole as well, he shone. Goldie had insecurities, but didn’t want to risk rocking the boat, so he backed himself into a world of loneliness.  Until Cole comes along and Goldie has to do damage control. This is a surprising book that shows how Goldie grows. Even from the first page to last, you can see how he begins to grow and change while still fumbling to find the man he wants to be. The sex is hot and passionate, and the blood play added a scorching level, (I normally don’t like blood play, but this was primal and passionate).

Cole brings a new level to Goldie and Jett’s lives, but don’t expect it to be a wonderful reunion between father and son.  Hell, they both want to punch the other at times, and I have to admit that Cole was very creepy with his crush on Goldie.  Jett was a lot more patient than I would have been. The ending in this book was beautiful and hopefully we will see future stories for this pop/punk star couple.

I will recommend this to those who love pop/punk stars, losing sight of your relationship, breaking down barriers, true love, scorching sex, and a very happily ever after.

Blurb: Swathed in chiffon and lace, Steven Stanhope owns the stage as Stevie Tricks, lip-synching the songs of the famous gypsy queen. But after he escapes an abusive Master/slave relationship, the only collar he’ll allow around his neck is black velvet.

After a four-year absence, Steve is ready to reclaim his life and the property he left behind. But is it safe? Definitely not if his ex is still into leather. To find out, Steve appears at a charity night for the local BDSM community, using the anonymity of his stage persona to mask his identity.

Instead of his ex-Master, Julius, Steve finds a tangled mess centered around another Master of Leather, Donato Rossi. In order to unravel their ties to the past, Steve and Don must find common ground and work together. In the process, they learn that when it comes to love, sometimes you have to make your own rules.

Review: This story is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. Steve is finally ready to return home after four years and hopefully reclaim what is his.  But, first he has to make sure that his ex-master, Julius, isn’t around and if he is that he isn’t into leather anymore.  So Steve appears at a charity event for the local BDSM community and although there is no Julius, there is a Master D who is determined to talk to Steve. Donato is an American leather Master and his new venture in Australia could be hanging in the balance.  He has a lot to discuss with Steve, the sub who abandoned his Master and tries to come to some sort of arrangement. But, everything he was told isn’t true and he has to untangle the mess that Julius created. But, can a mentally scarred sub who refuses to have anything to do with BDSM and a confident Dom who loves the lifestyle find a middle ground that suits them?

This is a story about a man who got lost in BDSM and suffered the consequences of a Dom who immersed himself in the Old School Master/slave relationship. Steve fled to the U.K. four years ago when he escaped from an increasingly abusive Master/slave relationship.  He left it all behind and worked hard to find himself again.  But, now the time has come to reclaim what he left behind. But, nothing is ever easy and Steve has to handle Donato, a leather Master. But, Donato makes him long for things he shouldn’t want anymore. Donato just wants to get business sorted, but Steve proves to be more complex than he realized. Discovering the truth behind Julius and Steve’s relationship leaves him horrified and although Donato and Steve become close, they both know that BDSM is something that Steve just can’t handle anymore, so how can they be together?

I have to say this is a wonderful story of a man discovering what he truly wants and needs and seeking a way to overcome his emotional scars and fears. Steve is a strong character; he has been through hell and with help has come out the other side.  But, he still has a past to put to rest. Donato is a hard character to get to know.  Although, we get some background on him, he seems to have a shell that surrounds him so we only get to know him superficially.  He is a huge help to Steve and they end up meshing very well together. The storyline is very well done and the way it is written is brilliant at drawing you in.  making you see the damage done to a young man who wanted to do anything for the man he loved, a man who lost himself in BDSM.

This is a story that shows you that if you don’t limit yourself and don’t know when to pull in the reins, just how wrong things can go. This isn’t just about what is happening in the here and now, but also what happened in the past.  Would things have been different if Steve had pulled in the reins sooner? If instead of giving in, he had stuck by his disquiet? Steve has to finally admit to himself that it wasn’t just the BDSM’s fault, and that the two men involved were at fault too. Donato has great patience and it comes in handy when dealing with Steve.  He holds him when he has to, but he also lets Steve go when Steve needs it, whether Steve realizes it or not. They make a great couple in this book and the content of the book is scorching and at times erotic. Although, for the first few chapters I had a sour taste in my mouth, because of the opening scenes, those were not my cup of tea at al

I will recommend this to those that love emotionally scarred men, overcoming the past, discovering what you truly want, and finding love again and a happy ending.

Review: Corrin is a prince of the Seelie Court.  He has spent the last five years in the human world and now it is time for him to return home. But, before he settles down into the life planned for him, he has one week to enjoy himself with his two human best friends and what better way to begin than a night in Purgatory, a fetish nightclub forbidden to the Seelie. Adrian is a prince of the UnSeelie Court drawn inexplicably to a sexy man with white-blond hair. Taking the young Seelie on a journey of discovery in the forbidden, he knows he will take any risk to see him again. But, Corrin has a choice, live a miserable life ignoring his needs or embracing the forbidden and facing banishment.

Well, well, well, Jana Downs what a naughty girl you are, you have written a story that has a wonderful blend of want, need, love and kink *bites lip* oh yeah, kink *shudder*. Corrin has had forbidden dreams for years, dreams of submission, dreams of a man.  It’s something that he knows he can never have, because if he ever caved into the dark needs he would lose everything. Adrian embraces his sexuality with open arms and embraces the task of initiating Corrin in the ways of man on man sex and submission. But, when Corrin disappears back to the Seelie Court, he looks for any way to get the delicious submissive back.

This is a great story of accepting your wants and needs, finding love in unexpected places and a determined love. I have to admit that the world that Jana Downs has created for her Fae world is startling in its views. The Seelie Court is very strict and everything is proper.  Men join with women and their sex is strictly vanilla. If you fail to comply, then you are either beaten and exiled or entered into the ‘sexuality rehabilitation program’ (brainwashed). While the UnSeelie Court embraces those who are seen as perverted by the Seelie and encourages them to be who they want to be.

Adrian and Corrin’s relationship is wonderful and the sexual spark between them is explosive.  The sex between them is intense, passionate and erotic with a delightful dash of BDSM and you know that the intensity of their feelings will endure. I really enjoyed this story and have to admit that it did produce conflicting feelings, because although I loved Adrian, Corrin and one or two of the Seelie, the rest of them could get trapped in hell for their attitudes. Corrin pulls at your heart towards the end, his torment makes you want to cry.

I have to recommend this to those who love paranormal, Fae, a judgmental society, angst, kink and light BDSM, hot explosive sex and a love that will endure.

Review: Here we are with the third Whispering Pines Ranch installment and I had to ask myself before I cracked it open “can S.J.D Peterson really continue to give us such heart-wrenching, scream through your knuckle stories” and I could only hope.

Ty is still reeling from Lorcan’s return into Quinn’s life and bed.  his bitterness and anger are eating at him and the knife keeps getting turned every day that he sees Lorcan ‘flaunting’ around the ranch.  Ty just knows that Lorcan can never give Quinn what he really needs and he also knows that Lorcan runs when the going gets tough. Blake recognizes that Ty is a submissive and is harboring great pain, anger and resentment.  Blake knows what that type of feeling can do to a man so he sets out to try to help Ty find himself under all those feelings before it’s too late.

S.J.D. has again brought us a book that tears us in different directions as we get the feelings and impressions off each character.  But the one thing she never gives us is a bad guy and oh boy do you want there to be a bad guy in all her books. In this one , as the book progresses, your feelings get churned up as you try your best to process everything the characters are going through; Ty’s resentment, hate, want, longing and need, Blake’s loss, fear and want, Lorcan’s love, doubts and fear and then we have Quinn his protection, love and determination.

Ty is determined to drive Lorcan away and Lorcan is determined to stay.  Although, he has doubts about how easily he let Jess push him away, the worst thing about S.J.D. Peterson’s writing is that you empathize with both characters no matter how much you want one of them to be the bad guy.  Lorcan, because he easily walked away from Jess into Quinn’s arms.  Quinn, for opening his arms and welcoming him back whilst shoving Ty away just as they began to get close.  And Ty, for wanting Quinn so desperately that he would scare Lorcan.

Blake is a welcome character that is a lot more suited to Ty.  He sees Ty and he recognizes why Ty latched onto Quinn even before Ty does.  He helps Ty just when Ty needs it most and I think Ty helped Blake with his past quite a bit, too.  Blake does have a tragic past and it will break your heart especially when Ty realizes just where he was heading.  once you learn Ty’s past you realize why he seemed to latch onto Quinn like a heat seeking missile, just a bit of kindness was all it took.

I don’t have to tell you how well written this story is or how good the characters are because you have already read the first two books in the series and if you haven’t then what planet are you from? As always we have the lovely Conner and John who we see briefly and who S.J.D. is setting up for their own story which I have a feeling will make me cry. I am also waiting with much patience with my sledgehammer handy for Jess’s story. Lol.

So I have to recommend this to those who love pulling their hair out in frustration, biting knuckles in anger, stomping feet… lol If you love incredible hot sex, cowboys in love, hot BDSM and kink, anger, true feelings, and the beginning of a beautiful new relationship then this book is defiantly for you.

Blurb: Daredevil wrestler Brad Fraser throws his body around the ring to the cheers of the crowd, but when the lights go dark, he throws it from bed to bed to alleviate the boredom of travel. Review: Hmmm, this is one of those books that fly’s by as you read it but you feel, until the last few pages, like you missed something. Brad is being bullied, misused and taken advantage of up until the moment Scott steps in to claim him.  Scott loves the concept of control, he likes the illusion that he is in complete control and with Brad he has found someone who is receptive to Scott being in charge.

I liked this book. It had a bit of kink.  Basically, Brad really wanted it and Scott liked to give him. But, it was also about trust.   Brad is trusting Scott to do the right thing for both of them and Scott controlling Brad and giving him what he needs rather than what he wants.  For me, it was actually more an illusion of control that Scott needed as well because they both know that Brad could say no at any time and Scott would stop. The sex between them is intense and passionate and the scene at the end of the book had me catch my breath, as after a year, both men finally opened their hearts to each other.

With this one, I think I will have to recommend it to those who love hot sex, great action in the ring, an intense partnership, resisting temptation and a happy ending that was touching.
