Blurb: This was his worst plan ever. Trent Sanchez was only going out for a coffee, just an afternoon break from all the responsibilities, and somehow he ended up a hundred miles away!

It was a mistake, a foolish act. He’d had a fantasy plan, not a real one, but here he was on the run with Billy, a plucky human who had nifty little concoctions that saved them from Renegades.

He wasn’t sure anyone could forgive him or would understand. He had a job to do, one that saved thousands of lives. But when innocents died and he found he couldn’t save everyone no matter how hard he tried, Tre faltered. Even his gift wasn’t working properly anymore and his beloved bear, Tredd Croggen, who he’d fallen for the moment they met, was gruff and annoyed with him. His head hurt and his thoughts were jumbled. Tre was lost, but he was fighting to get back what they’d had.

Review: Tre gets overwhelmed with everything and decides to off for a while without telling anyone including his mate Tredd.

Things are not as smooth as he would like when he meets Billy being mugged. The two then set off for an adventure. Tredd eventually catches up with them and they discuss the stress Tre’s been under.

I liked that Tre and Tredd talked eventually. Tre was under way too much stress and suffering for it. I felt he had no life to do what he wanted. Especially when everyone seemed to keep him under lock and key twenty four seven. Billy was sweet yet knew how to hold his own in a fight for a human.

Good read.

Blurb: Berk Surkov hadn’t wanted to move to Milson Valley. He loved Prague. It was his home.

And he wasn’t a fan of change. He liked to take his time, think things through, and fly helicopters. They said he’d get used to it, he disagreed. He had to admit Milson Valley had some good points though, like his mate, Ignacio Hebert.

Iggy hadn’t been to a ball before, but he was happy to go along, chat, and give away copies of his e-books, especially as it was for a good cause. He didn’t expect to meet a hot gargoyle with unusual eyes, adorable curls, and a brooding attitude, but Iggy happily accepted his mate!

He could see Berk needed time to get used to the idea they were mates, and to Iggy’s chatter, so Iggy would wait until Berk was ready. Unfortunately Iggy may not have the opportunity to win his gargoyle over for soon after they meet, he is attacked.

Review: Iggy, a paranormal gay romance writer, meets Berk, a gargoyle at a charity event he’s invited to attend by Urian Starters. Iggy is a likable guy and enjoys talking to everyone he’s also adventurous. Berk gets into trouble at times with his stunts so the two were well matched. A fae tries to hurt Iggy at the request of a group but Noel is just a teenager with a unique ability that has no where to turn when the group threatens him to do their bidding.

I liked the story but wanted more information about Noel and what exactly happened to him. Iggy and Berk were likable characters that I enjoyed reading about.

Good read.

Blurb: Macario Aston would love a holiday, one that took him far from his overprotective, interfering family. He loved them, truly he did, but they wouldn’t accept what was happening.

Whereas Mac had accepted. He was ill. Now he just wanted to get on with living while he had time left, and he wanted his family to face the truth. So Mac was going to enjoy himself by indulging in the things he liked. A holiday would be good, dining out, and massages. Mac loved a good massage. And maybe he’d tell the fae where to stick their training accounts.

The moment masseuse Fale Taucher saw Macario Aston, he knew he’d found his mate. Unfortunately, Fale hadn’t a clue how to let the man know! When Aston’s security caught him hanging around, it gave him the chance to tell Mac, but convincing the man to let Fale claim and bond them may take more time than his human had left.

Review: Another book that I felt disconnected with the characters and as a result did not enjoy. Marcario is sick. He longs for freedom and to seek his own path in life. Fale is a truly sweet guy but, he goes way overboard in his emotions. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster each time he reacted extremely.

They seemed to get off on rocky start on Marcario’s side. But Fale perseveres in the end after many misunderstandings. Along the way these two are in constant danger from those that would do the Ashton’s harm.

It was an o.k. read.

Blurb: After a reasonably bad first meeting where his mate literally shudders in dislike, Tripp Croggen actually finds himself liking the slightly bad-tempered human fate chose as his. While Eddie Nelson might have a few issues regarding paranormals, he agrees to give Tripp time to show him that creatures are not so different from humans when it comes to the fundamentals in life, that they both just want love, respect, and happiness.

The more he learns about Eddie, the more Tripp sees beneath the slight bitterness to who the human really is: smart, passionate, and caring. Eddie has a dry sense of humor and goals he works toward, and he keeps Tripp fascinated. In fact, Tripp couldn’t ask for more in a mate.

Now, he just has to convince Eddie that they are perfect for each other…before the person they didn’t even know was after them attacks.

Review: Tripp is at a loss about his mate’s hostility towards paranormals. Edward has been through a lot in his life and just wants to be left alone. When he finds out Tripp is his mate he freaks out. But there are worse dangers out there.

I enjoyed reading Tripp and Edwards’s story. I liked how Tripp took his time with Edward rather than claiming him right off. The added mystery as to who was after them was a bonus.

Great read.

Blurb: Wizard Tudor Masters was working toward leaving his old coven when he had the misfortune of overhearing a Senator conspiring against the Council. Going into hiding, he ends up at the Armstrong coven, where he runs into a gorgeous wolf who denies they’re mates, and a fae prince who saves Tudor from vampires.

Caspar Morgan is scouting locations to relocate his fae guild. What he finds is a gorgeous wolf shifter who, instead of happily claiming Cas, bolts in the other direction and denies that Cas (and a smart wizard in danger from three different factions) are his mates.

While Luka, a very uniquely gifted wolf, flirts and keeps his distance emotionally, Tudor remains quiet and watchful and smells like cinnamon and ice cream. Cas will protect his mates, wait them out, lust after both, and put up with Luka’s numerous friends and family members who feel it necessary to stick their noses in and cause more chaos than help.

Review: Luka, a very special wolf shifter is sent on a public relations task only to discover one of the new fae’s looking for properties is his mate. He runs as fast as he can away from him due to his wanting to remain single. Caspar, leader of the fae, is shocked to discover he has two mates. One, Tudor, a wizard, who is in danger from a deranged vampire and a senator wanting him dead. The other a wolf shifter, Luka,  who is a handful.

I loved this story. Each character had their own distinct personalities and flaws yet blended perfectly with each other. I love how this book sets up for future ones as there’s more than these three characters at play throughout.

Fantastic read.

Of course, this is made even more difficult with the arrival of his brother, Archie, who keeps following Chane from coven to coven spiking Chane’s drinks and placing himself in danger.

When the trap fails, again, Chane is saved by a gorgeous, big feline shifter, Dominic Sanchez, who declares Chane is his mate. Due to an accident, Chane is unable to immediately scent the shifter as mate, but Dom is adamant and sets out to woo Chane, soothing the vampire’s many ruffles and discovering all his secrets.

Review: Chane is constantly on the move due to his psychotic ex, an assassin, who doesn’t take ending the relationship too well. I found that Chane was determined to put his in the past and try to move forward. Only to be pushed back a few steps. I was glad he had help when Dom came along.

The fight to move forward was hard. Yet with the support of his mate and all the others in Milson valley he was right where he needed to be. I felt sorry for Chane not being able to scent his mate due to an accident. But with time Chane begins to grow closer to Dom.

Archie, Chane’s brother, was a hoot. I loved his character. He was extremely protective of Chane yet funny and snarky. I loved the action, romance, drama and suspense in this addition to the series.

Highly recommended.

Sure, the pack seem friendly—too friendly really. They keep trying to touch his mate. But they are saying all this stuff about Ran actually having a different name, needing protection, and that he is ill.

But then Ran is shot by an assassin sent by his ex-Alpha, a vicious creature bent on revenge. The local Avenger is called in to eliminate the threat, and all their lives take a very unexpected turn.

Review: Deakin and Ran have been on the move since Ran’s ex-Alpha is intent on harming Ran anyway he can and will stop at nothing to attain that goal. When Avenger Vicus is called in to eliminate the threat to Ran things take an interesting turn.

Deakin is part human, part sprite, has asthma and is a bit high strung at times. The way he acts at times was hilarious but understandable. Ran, is easy going and constantly getting into trouble. But I believe it was a result of what happened by his previous pack.

I loved the interactions between these two despite the situation they find themselves in. Avenger Vicus is used to people giving him a wide berth. He is unused to relationships but knows that Deakin and Ran are his mates. He will do all in his power to protect them.

Suspense, drama and action surround this addition to the Milson Valley series.

Review: I wanted to really like this book but I could not, though I did love the plot of the story. The story seemed to be all over the place. Drake was a little brash regarding Keeley and Xavier was a little too overprotective of Keeley.

I thought they were all mates so I did not understand the distance in regards to being together between Xavier, a vampire and Drake, a shifter. It confused me. Keeley was a little over the top with the games he played with Drake but that was to be expected with what he had been through not to mention another paranormal mate which threw him in panic mode.

The whole back and forth panic, running, battle of wits between the three got tiresome quick. Now I love sarcasm but this was not it. I thought mates were supposed to want to be together? Maybe it’s just me but the book felt off to me.
