Blurb: Two men.

One night of passion.

They never expected to see each other again.

They were wrong.

Tobias Bennett is a quiet and unassuming man who teaches yoga and enjoys parkour. Though he is proud to be gay, an abusive relationship with a domineering man has left Tobias wary of romance, and he keeps to himself in his tidy Los Angeles apartment.

Pro football player Sullivan Archer is Tobias’s complete opposite: loud, brash, fond of the spotlight… and deep in the closet. When a hamstring injury sends Van to Tobias as part of his therapy, neither of them is expecting to come face-to-face with his one-night stand. Now they’re stuck together throughout Van’s healing process, and the close proximity will force them to deal with some hard truths. For Tobias, it’s realizing his hookup is a celebrity. For Van, it means accepting that he likes Tobias more than he wanted. They’ll both have to acknowledge that if they choose to pursue a relationship, their lives will change in big ways.

Review: The Players of LA Series are standalones, but characters from each book to appear in subsequent novels. It is recommended to read in order to maximize the reading experience.

Sullivan was a pretty well known in sports. He however had one hell of a secret, he was gay. One night hookup with Toby left him wanting more. However he was afraid of what would happen if others found out. Then when he is injured on the field, part of his rehabilitation is to do yoga. Guess who is his teacher.

Toby is a sweet young man who has had a rough time. He is out and prowd, but his ex has left him scared of big and scary men. He runs from Archer, but finds himself teaching him yoga anyway. Except for this time, they were alone. Things heat up real fast, and when the ex comes back, Archer knew he would do anything to protect the one he loves.

Now I have never been a fan of stories that involve sports. Probably because I have no idea of what they are talking about. However this author is amazing. I read book three in this series before reading the others, and lets just say that if this author is behind the books, then ten to one I will continue to read.

The characters are so real and the action is off the charts. You get so much in this story that you just can’t take your eyes off of it. There is even danger added in which for me is a bonus. I had a lot of fun reading this and can’t wait to read the other books. I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: I haven’t really been a fan of romances that uses sport stars, but I will admit that this sounded pretty good. Once I got to reading it, I could understand why the guy had anger issues. It was more than just hockey, but it shows how one is injured just from a parent’s mean words. In this we see the physical wounds as well. Something that our strong man needs to heal from, physical and emotional wounds from someone who should have loved him.

Viktor has been hurt both physically and emotionally from his family. I should say from his father, a man who should have loved him no matter what. He hides a part of himself and denies it. He takes his anger out not only on the ice, but on the ice it gets him suspended. He needs help and it seems they have found the perfect person to do so.

Bo is what one calls the Fixer, a man sent in to help when P.R. needs to be fixed. He goes in to help those who needs it. From the start he knows that Viktor is a power-keg waiting to go off. But he sees something in him, something that pulls at him. Things heat up, but you will need to read the story to find out more.

I saw and felt the pain that both these men have gone through. Different in ways but similar in others. I can see how it effects them and how much they needed each other. They have so much to go through to get to the other side. It is an amazing story that will pull at your heart strings and have you in tears. It is a very emotional story with a fantastic end.

I have not really been a fan of an author’s I have not heard of and stories that don’t call to me. However I think that this story just changed that for me. Maybe with this author and type of story, but still it is a nice change. I enjoyed reading this story and I do look forward to reading the next book. It also makes me want to go back and read the previous books.

I enjoyed reading this and would definitely recommend this book.

Review: There was this saying that hate actually means love, but didn’t really think too much about it until I read this story. Here you have two grown men who are total asses to each other but it hides the passion between them. This story is a very emotional read and at first I did not think it would be. I thought it would definitely focus on the actual sport but it is not what this story is about, not completely anyway.

Finn and Dexter have been rivals since they were in college, and it has increased. Both of them are hiding one hell of a secret though. Finn is madly in love with Tristan, until Tristan is killed by a drunk driver. He is completely lost and alone throughout this, as one would expect. He has never told his family that he was gay, and that he had been in love with his teammate.

Here is a champion volley ball player who is losing his mind to grief. Finn is always snapping at everyone, but to his surprise it is the enemy that helps him the most. He has to admit that he was snappy with Dex because he was attracted to him, and that might just lead to more problems.

Dex has had a very harsh life. His mother was a prostitute who was going to sell her own son to other men on the say so of her pimp. He had left that life at fifteen, running away and afraid. He is known as straight but feared that people would realize that he was not. However that was not his only fear. He was afraid of having to go back to the streets. When the one man who angers him the most loses someone who meant something to him, he steps up. He had not known though, just how lost the man is. He fears that if someone finds out that he is gay, that he will lose it all. However he realizes that if he loses Finn, then he will have lost it all.

You can tell right from the start that there is some major sexual tension between these two. Even when Finn was with Tristan, you can just feel the heat. The pace for this story just rocked, you go from hate to love in such a way that it will leave you breathless. All though I have to admit the amount of fighting that these two did made the story slow down a bit too much for me. It was just continuous and that was not a good thing. It doesn’t take away from the story to much though.

I find out that I was quite fascinated with this story and was very glad that it did not focus too much on the sports part of it. I loved how you can feel the heat, see the tension, and the feelings you can tell are there. I am not sure what the next book will be like however I am looking forward to finding out.

This is a book I would recommend, especially if you love sexy athletes and some hot sex.
