Review: It seems as if I’ve been anticipating this installment forever. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I’ve been to read how Conor and Sean end up after their ugly spat in the previous book. And ah, damn it! It was so worth waiting for. As our dear Mr. Darcy would say, “The craic was fierce” *wink*

But this time around, I admit I was really surprised by the turn of things. You see, nearly a year has passed from that time and Conor and Sean are no longer what they used to be, they no longer are the joined at hip best friends you got used to see. A chasm is formed between them (damn that Richie) and Conor is now in a monogamous if you please relationship with Oisin. Shocked doesn’t even begin to describe what I felt. Let’s face it I’m a team Sean fangirl, so when I started reading the thoughts that swarmed my head were something like “Conor has a partner? And it’s not Sean? The Hell? Who is this guy?” Yeah, it is safe to say I was pissed and for nearly 99.9% of the read I was cussing the author with everything that I had.

That stated I loved this story. As I said, it was different. Conor was different. I was used to the fierce Irish man-slut, I adored him, but this new version, the committed guy, the one who went into a game smiling instead of grumbling, the monogamous guy (Can you believe that? Can you?), well this guy was a freaking star. I enjoyed this side of him and his attempt at being strictly Top and a Dom at that.

Yes, this time around, we have a deeper dive into the wild world of kinks & fetishes, with a stronger BDSM take, since Conor and Oisin’s relationship had this big bad label of Dom/sub lifestyle. Conor showed a lovely, playful side, not lacking his special brand of erotic and sexy we were used to, and the games he played, well… Denial games? Edging? Really? Why don’t you glue a sticker for Thommie’s Favorite Brand of Erotica on it while you’re there? Yeah, I loved the damned read. Everything was bait for me, from the plot that had me biting my fingernails (I never once forgot about Sean), the humor that had me literally hurting with laughter, and the sex scenes that as always were fiercely erotic and pant-worthy.

But that humor, to say I pissed my panties laughing would be an understatement. Quotes like this one: “I feel like a dildo—essential, needed, and having a purpose.” were on abundance and I’m just a slave of this brand of humor. I think besides the fact that this series is hot as Hell, what draws in the most is the Irish slang and snarks. It defines the series, makes them unique on my shelf, and puts this author easily on my favorites.

To sum this up I loved this fourth installment and if #3 had an enticing end, making you wish for the next one fast, it had nothing on this. The entire read challenges your patience and the end itself fills you with anticipation and excitement for the next one to come. So if you aren’t acquainted with the series I suggest you pick them up – they are meant to be read in order – and enjoy the Wilde Ride they provide wrapped in layers of unique Irish Romance.

Blurb: This should be the greatest moment in Conor’s rugby playing career. But falling in love and a loss of form have brought him to his knees, and led him to question who he is. It’s no fun, not being the centre of attention. Is he the man he thought he was? Replaced on the pitch and now replaced in the affections of his best friend Sean. What is it about Sean’s new boyfriend he finds so irritating? Why can’t he accept them being together? Conor’s heart is filled with rage by the thought of them. A rage that he can’t contain, and that leads him to cross a line that should never be crossed. And when Conor acts like a fool, there is only one thing for it. To be punished by two hot Doms. Maybe they will bring him to his senses, and take his mind off things that cannot be…

…or maybe not!

Review: Patrick Darcy comes back with his Confessions series and book #3, and I must admit this one felt the best of them yet. It is rare for me to like the next installment better than the previous, but it happened with book #2 and again now. In addition I’m left expecting the next one with much more excitement than before. In fact I was a bit pissed that Blood, Seat & Lust in Dublin ended.

What made the difference you might ask and it would be a very good question. The basic part, the erotic scenes were just as hot. The carnal way Conor handles his tricks is the same as always. We did get to see him as a bottom though this time, and honestly I couldn’t stop laughing and shaking my head at this character. Conor is just as pushy, cocky, and demanding as a bottom as he is as a Top. You just got to love him in any position he chooses to put himself.

Another difference this time was the fact that the Irish team lost the championship they were hosting. Naturally Conor was disappointed – that was not unexpected. What was unexpected was my reaction to the Irish losing the cup. The frustration and sadness I felt while reading it almost made me laugh at myself. I think I’ve grown attached.

But the most surprising thing of all was Conor’s realization of being in love with Sean. If you read my review of the previous book, I had the feeling that this was where the plot was leading; to Conor loving Sean. To have it come true though the way it did, God, I feel a bit sad.

Nothing in this tournament didn’t go well for Conor. First he’s had his injuries and been replaced, leading to Conor being pissed about it, leading to Conor being an ass to Sean about Sean’s boyfriend, leading to the moment of realization that he loves Sean, leading to Sean giving Conor the cold shoulder and not speaking to him at all… So while Conor is still the horny bastard that he is, hooking up and trying to get Sean off of his system resulting to a hot, kinky threesome, there was that little thing called love there in the background painting the entire read with a bit of aggression, sadness, and desperation.

In the end this was a very well done mixture of pure erotica and romance (though you can hardly call it romance, it was too raw for that) that makes you crave the series even more. It was almost like observing… life! Loved it! Got me hooked even more, and the end leaves you anticipating the next book so strongly, that I wonder at where the hell I’m going find the patience to wait.

Recommended? Hell, yeah!

Blurb: Rugby—it’s all about scoring, whether it’s on the field… or off.

While on tour in Copenhagen, it seems nothing is going to stop the Irish from bringing home the trophy and taking the spoils of victory. And while teammates Conor and Sean work up a sweat on the field to claim their prize, the real competition begins after the whistle blows, as the lads discover that Copenhagen is full of hot distractions.

To be sure, there is nothing rotten in the state of Denmark! In fact, Danish men are ripe for the picking. They love sex, have no inhibitions and they want Irish meat.

But as Conor and Sean put their friendship aside in the pursuit of the hottest Danish players, the question is, will their friendship survive the real sport of man hunting?

Review: And Conor comes back with another incredibly hot confession.

This time our favorite Gay Rugby Team heads to Denmark for the European Championship. This time there is no flashback to the game, rather we get to “see” the games as they happen; who qualifies, who doesn’t, and who wins the cup… Need I say more? Again I’m mesmerized by the brutality of the game, again I’m hooked. I feel as if I’m about to become a fan without meaning to, and damn it all to Hell, Greece should have rugby too. No! All Europe should have it and let us ogle those mouth-watering creatures.

But I digress! This is about Conor, that horny devil and his slutty ways, that by the way are a true addiction. As always, the game of man hunting never runs far from rugby for Conor, and the other way around. When he’s on the field the horny fantasies are not far from his mind, but when the field game is over, then I feel as if Conor has a one-track mind. Get em down and f#ck em as hard as it gets.

This read in my opinion has it all. I often thought of it as written porn. The fantasies (that was one hell of a trick there with the Icemen), the events, the actual cum-shot, everything resembled a porn movie. Hard and fast, rhythmic and slow, rimming, bareback, felching and watersport kinks, even threesomes with double-penetrating. It had it all, and it knocks up your head with the intensity of the read the moment you open the book and start at it. And it is intense, and hooking, and gripping, and well pretty much a read you inhale in one go.

Beside the incredibly hot scenes and the erotic part of it, I’m happy to say that like the previous one, there is an underlying dose of humor throughout the text. A special brand of sarcasm that makes you melt, and unless it was my wild imagination there was also a touch of romance in the subtext. Now I might be out of my mind (always a possibility) but I thought I saw the sparks of… God knows what that was. I’m sure you all remember Sean from book #1 (if you don’t go back and re-read it, if you don’t have it, well get it already). There Sean was just a flash, so fast that he’s easily missed, but in this book Sean takes a good part of it with his presence. After all he’s part of the final threesome. Now again I might be seeing what I want to see, but was there something sparking there between the two of them? It felt like a prelude to some great, astonishing future buggering. If it’s true, and if this is the authors ultimate goal, I’m deeply intrigued as in how he’s going to approach that subject, and if it’s going to be one of those things that simply blow your mind away.

But, all that is speculation. As I’m reviewing this one, there’s nothing more to say than: I truly enjoyed this as much as I did the first part, and can wait for book #3. And if you feel that the above are your thing and the rough and tough players do it for you, and then by all means, go grab it. Totally recommended!

Review: Heh. this was a fun read and erotic as it all gets. The blurb says it all people, we have rugby players out on man-hunt. Get the picture, big, tough, aggressive men high on testosterone and out on the prowl.

The read starts with Conor getting ready for the final night and the author gives us the pleasure of his lovely, but battered body. Nothing is left undetailed; we get the image live in our head of a sexy as hell Irish rugby player with cuts and bruises and gashes all over a mean muscled body. Damn it, but it was hot.

And right when he’s out of the door and into the club, we get a flashback of the game itself, and God but it’s just a prelude to what is about to happen once Conor starts hooking up and it’s going to be a big, nasty and dirty fight. The game’s description was a new one for me. I had an idea of what rugby was about, but involuntarily, I got dragged right in the heart of it from this slightly short read. It’s terrifying and has me wanting to see lots and lots of rugby games and wondering what the hell I’ve been doing all this time. Just as the game ends, we know who the protagonists are going to be.

Conor’s got his sight set on Tonio and they are mirror images of each other; the hardest you give, the hardest you take. It was like that on the field, and it is like that on the bed, too.

It’s porn. Its pure unadulterated, downright dirty, nasty, no holds barred sex. Coarse language and rough mannerisms. It’s what I love to call Man on Man sex. Yes, with a capital M. You don’t get to see flowers and satin sheets here. No soap smells and delicate handling. Forget all that. If you can stomach the eroticism of a sweaty man going on another man using his own saliva as lube and feeding from his body in the most primal and carnal way, then you will love this short story. Otherwise, I advise you stay well away from it.

For me it was one hot, passionate and utterly intense read. But, I’m known to love dirty fun, and rough and tough erotica.
