Review: This is a nice and quick read. I generally enjoy Shawn Lane’s books and this was different. I think the only downfall that this is a short, past paced book because part of me wanted to know more about the characters.

The story follows waiter, Thomas and his infatuation/hate for new waiter, Noah Petrie. However, these guys have a past history. They went to the same high school but Noah does not even recognize Thomas, in fact Thomas was barely a blip on Noah’s radar. That is especially where I would have loved to have seen more between the guys.

While I enjoyed the story, I just wanted more of it enjoy.

Review: Cute story about a doctor who is asked to do an in-home therapy session for one of his hot patients. Unfortunate, the hot patient thinks the good doctor is straight.

I found it funny when Landon kept hinting that he wanted Zack, but Zack seemed unsure if he flirting or not. The subtle hints were obvious to me. Though I did understand Zack’s concern for getting involved with a patient and ruining his career I was glad when they finally got together near the end.

I enjoyed this story and wished it had been longer. There was some drama, hot sex and two sexy males thrown into the mix to make a good read.

Tor's Dragon by Angelique Voisen

Review: This is the fifth book in Havoc’s Crew series. Kelas is a half-blood dragon who gets caught by the brother of the man whose son he kidnapped. Tor is a wizard who works with Havoc’s Crew. This book is about the two of them and there is no action or fight scenes in it.

Though I did enjoy the story I was disappointed as well. I was expecting a problem to come up and Havoc’s Crew to take care of it. But that’s not what happens. Instead Kelas is taken prisoner by Tor only to learn they both have the same dark tastes and are mates.

Review: Fin is working at a dance club for owner Mike. For the best several years Fin’s former boyfriend has been showing up and harassing him. Unbeknownst to Fin, his ex Kyle is a lot more dangerous than he ever released.

For such a little short story this gave a good deal of detail. It was well paced for as short as it was and things happened in a way that made sort of logical sense. I think if it was a little longer it would have been better.

However, it was still a good fast read. The sex was hot and the storyline was interesting.

Review: Fast paced with betrayal, anger, and emotional scenes throughout. I think if Ulfric had been honest with Mael from the beginning they would have been a lot better off in the long run. Instead Mael ends up not trusting him throughout most of the book.

I didn’t understand the scene where Ulfric claims that Mael is the father of Ulfric’s son because he saved him as pup by pouring his energy into him. That confused me. It was a really good addition to the Havoc’s Crew series that I enjoyed and couldn’t put down from start to finish.

Good read.

Reviewer: Tams

Review: Evan and Seth are settling into a more comfortable space with their relationship after a rocky start. But Seth has been sick, easily agitated, and moody as of late. To say they are shocked to learn Seth is pregnant is an understatement, now to just figure out exactly how this happened. A memory of what Seth thought was a dream brings the truth behind his pregnancy rushing back, right before he goes into labor.

I have to say I really enjoy the slightly twilight zone aspect to this series. Alien abductions, M-preg, things that go bump in the night. And this story was more cohesive than the first giving the reader a nauseating glimpse into Seth’s abduction and how he came to be with child. Very disturbing that the alien’s are described, in my mind at least, as the rabbit in Donnie Darco.

The descriptives in this story are vivid and as a said, disturbing, but the way Holbrand has tied everything together with the first story was intriguing. While I have some issues with M-preg, it is explained in a way that is marginally believable, in an X-files sort of way. Evan and Seth’s reaction and quick acceptance was a little unrealistic as well, even in this farfetched reality.

This was still just an okay read for me as was the first installment, but the flow of the story was more cohesive and the writing wasn’t all over the place. I am intrigued to see how this all comes together and where Evan and Seth will land when it’s all said and done. So I’ll be grabbing a copy of book 3 when it comes out.

Review: This is a cute and very hot little story that will leave you wanting more. I love the way the characters just flow off the pages of the book.

Robert has always wanted Jake, but never made a move or said a thing. That is until his boss at the Daily Read sent him to talk to the up and coming sports star. They had known each other in college but things never went any far forward till now. They both agreed that they never wanted to come out, or at least not now but things start heating up really fast.

I think that this story was a big hit to me. It comes off as so damn real, although I wished that they were both out and proud. The sex between them is so damn hot and left me wanting more of it. It gave me almost everything I could possibly want in a story except for the fact that I want more. I wished it were longer with more about their future.

Michael is one fascinating author who always gives me what I want and I look forward to reading more. It caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. Trust me you have got to read this book.

Review: Nice and short and to the point. The story features a very love square of sorts – Drew is on exchange studying at a uni in Australia, contemplating the ending of his friendship his closeted friend, Brian.

On the beach in Newcastle, NSW, he meets Scott the closeted surf lifesaver, as well as Chris, who works at a backpacker’s hostel. Chris and Drew embark on a platonic friendship, while Drew is busying being attracted to guys who treat him like shit and want to remain closeted.

The plot is that simple and there aren’t any unnecessary side points (great considering this is only 26 pages!). It’s an enjoyable read with some great sexual tension throughout the story. While Chris is correct, that Drew needs to change the type of guys he takes with, I think in the end we can be satisfied that despite some heartache Drew has well and truly learnt his lesson.

Review: Two months ago, Gael and Shawn had a one-night stand. Now neither can stop thinking about the other. But they are an ocean apart. Gael finally gives in and starts sending flowers with little notes. Gael wants Shawn again for more than one night. He starts by slowly seducing him with delivers and notes apologizing. Then one of Gael’s friends has a surprise delivery of his own, Shawn.

This was cute. Two men who usually go for the quick and easy find someone they can’t stop thinking about. It’s a short so there is not much story, but I did enjoy it. I think this could have been better as a longer book. It was enough to whet my appetite but not leave me full. I kind of want more with these two men.

Good for a little fast pick me up.
