Blurb: Python had made a mess of his life and now was paying the ultimate price. He was dying. It was nothing else but what he deserved after all. Only… Maybe he needed to hit rock bottom before finding everything he’d ever searched for?
Rei was not the type to offer anyone second chances. Especially some punk supernatural creature that had almost killed his baby brother. What could ever excuse that? No, he wasn’t even thinking about it. Besides, his attention was elsewhere focused… On much more pleasant issues than his former military career.
If only things were that simple. Fortunately, they weren’t and as they will both soon figure it out, it wasn’t up to them to decide.

Review: Each book in the Fated collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Python almost killed his brother’s human mate. He had not meant to but had thought the guy was his, and if he had died so would his brother. Thankfully his brother’s mate saw what was really going on, well some parts of it. What none of them realized other than Python, was Python was dying. He had taken on their mothers curse. He was turning human, unless he mated. What he had not expected was to have two mates.

Rei has spent time in the military and was tough as nails. He had the hots for someone that was trying to kill him, pretty strange but the fact that Jonathan didn’t want to kill him well you can guess. Jonathan was half human and half kappa, and his uncle was his master. His master wanted him to kill Rei, but hey he was not into meat. Sounds pretty screwed up to me.

First off this book had so many grammar and spelling problems that it made the story just off. They were easy to spot and just drove me nuts. The whole story jumped all over the place and made me want to just throw the book. It has a funny tone to it in the end, but you had to get through the first half of the book to see it, and getting that far was a fight. I like the ending better than I thought although I would have wished to see how many babies they ended up with.

Over all this story was just bizarre and off putting. It made my head hurt just reading it. I gave it a higher rating just because these guys were funny, well in parts of it.

The story might have had a better chance if it didn’t come off rushed and not edited. I am sorry to say but this story just pretty much bottomed out for me.
