Blurb: For decades Philippe has lived the life of a thief, keeping apart from society. He steals items for customers…for a fee, of course, which has earned him wealth enough for several lifetimes. Due to his mixed heritage, a volatile mixture of human, angel, and daemon blood—a creature called a darkling—his job is his solace. After a disastrous encounter with a wizard, Philippe has a choice to make—live the rest of his life on the run or commit to a single task to gain a clean slate. Either way, his thieving days are over. Philippe accepts the Council of Wizard’s terms.

He finds himself traveling with Kalylle, a wizard of the second order. Their task is to clear up a disagreement between the dwarf and elven nations, as a war between their peoples would tear Fidelia apart. To Philippe’s surprise, he discovers an unexpected kinship with Kalylle—an attraction that offers both danger to their mission and hope for a future. Except as they run up against one obstacle after another, it becomes clear that a third party is involved, someone with powerful magical resources. Can Philippe overcome the urges of his daemonic heritage so he can complete his quest with Kalylle, or will the machinations of rogue wizards cause him to lose himself to the daemon living inside him?

Reader Advisory: The Prologue of this tale was offered as a free read in 2014 during the GRNW Conference. Finally available, here’s the rest of the story…

Warnings: This is part one of a three-part epic fantasy adventure. This story includes wizards, magic, men learning to have a sense of humor while overcoming dark elements, and a HFN ending. There are erotic m/m scenes suitable for adults only. .

Review: I loved this story about Philippe and Kalylle. Philippe is a Darkling, part angel, daemon and human. He struggles to control his daemon urges on a daily basis. To satisfy the daemon part he turns to stealing. This is where he is caught by wizards and tasked to help stop a war between elves and dwarves.

Kalylle is the wizard tasked with finding a way to stop the war on the horizon with Philippe’s help. They start their investigation with the dwarves and find the reason for the threat of war is a sacred blade being taken when the elves last visited them.

Though this story is not complete it was good beginning. However I would like to know exactly what the wizards told Philippe as we are never told this. Other than it was a fantastic read with two men slowly getting to know one another while danger lurks around every corner and several attempts are made on their lives.

Review: A sweet story about two men who struggle with different aspects of their lives.

I loved how Az was so patient and tender with Danny. It broke my heart the things these two went through at times. The actual history of why supernaturals were created was fascinating and intrigued me.

Though this story seemed way to short it still had enough to satisfy me with the plot and the characters details. I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Great read.

After suffering his trauma, Nate was left with a fear of being penetrated, and alphas want to dominate by their very nature.

Orion has always felt protective of Nate, even though the former human made a habit of being alone. It’s difficult for an alpha when his mate refuses his touch and can’t control his wolf. Orion knows he can cure Nate’s wild wolf if he would just let Orion in.

But if Orion pushes it, he will chase his mate away from him, and if he does nothing, he risks losing Nate to his feral instincts.

Review: Because of what happened to Nate he has been fighting with his nature regarding Alpha wolf Orion. Orion takes this slow and steady. Giving Nate the time he needs. I liked this story and thought the interactions between Nate and Orion were sweet and considerate.

Orin also shows up in this story with a mate but disappears shortly after. We find out there was more going on with him that we did not know.

Entertaining and interesting. Good read.

Blurb: Owen Wilson (yes, just like the actor, don’t mention it) has spent the last six months of his

life in a vampire blood farm. He’s on the verge of giving up until rescue comes from an unlikely source: Alpha werewolves.

Great, not only do vampires exist, but werewolves, too? Though he can’t complain, they are rescuing him, and one of them heats Owen’s blood in a way he never would have thought possible.

Hugh Greywolf was just doing a routine take down of a vampire farm with the rest of his pack. He never in a million years would have thought he’d find his mate in that horrifying place. Owen is skinny and malnourished, but Hugh needs to make the claim. Enjoying their mating might come to an end when the vampires track down their stolen cattle, and when they come for Owen, Hugh might be too late to keep them from bleeding Owen dry for good.

Review: This story starts with Hugh and Fergus already at a vampire farm. How they got there I have no idea. This question plagued me all throughout the book as I felt I missed something. Owen has been in the vampires clutches for ix months and is practically dead on his feet.

Sparks fly when these two meet. Hugh takes care of him and explains what is going on. Owen is happy to be with Hugh, then during a hunt Owen is almost killed by a vampire.

We are introduced to Trey, Owen’s friend. But still do not get a lot about the man.

It was an o.k. read.

Review: Tolan is unhappy with his life thus far. Having a master  who prefer’s Tolan do all the work while he drinks is a heavy burden. One day Goss, a small child enters the shop and tells Tolan to find secret. It’s easier said than done but when he finds what he’s looking for his life changes for the better.

I liked all the characters. Tolan seemed a bit on the whinny side at times but some characters are like that. Shaw was exactly what Tolan needed in his life to find happiness. Goss was a cute little guy that I adored.

All in all it was an enjoyable read.

Reviewer: Shorty

Review: There was a lot going on in this continuation of the series. Haru and Tally are trying to settle in their new life but others conspire against them playing on the couples weaknesses and not knowing about certain things.

There is a deeper delve into the Lijun politics that was complex with a lot of rivalries thrown into the mix. A lot of characters are interwoven as certain individuals make plans behind others backs that are not on the up and up. I found the whole story intriguing.

Tally and Haru I felt needed to talk to each other and learn more about the other before cracks are found and the ones up to no good split them apart for good. I was thankful for the warning at the end of the blurb because that incident was sudden and utterly gut-wrenching to read.

Great read and addition to the series.

Review: When Jake meets Glendon he thinks his life is turning out better than he expected until he is attacked after work. Coming to in a house he is unfamiliar with sets his nerves on edge until Glendon explains some things.

This story introduces us to a whole cast of characters and how things are in this world of vampires and werewolves. Although I liked the story it felt as though information was missing and the story felt rushed. I have already read the next book and even though it is connected there is a huge gap between this book and the next.

I wanted more details into the planning of the war with the vampire queen and none of that happened. Jakes friend is also in this story along with Fergus who had to bite him to save him from a vampire bite. These two are at odds with each other.

Review: Ronan and Trey try to overcome their misunderstandings in each other while at the same time Trey come to grips with being told he is pregnant. An attack sends the house on lockdown and Fergus pushes Parker a little too far.

While I enjoyed the story there was not much in the way of action in this book. But there was plenty of drama to be had by all. Looking forward to seeing what else happens with the pack in further books.

Blurb: Trent Snow is an orphan who discovers he’s a familiar, a potential mate for a magic user. He’s hunted by corrupt magic users for his abundant magical reserve. Unfortunately, a familiar’s magic is passive. He needs protection.

He’s a descendant of the Darkmore family, one of the most corrupt magical families. His hands are also tainted with the blood of all those corrupt magic users he had killed in the past. Instead, he opens his home to the familiars who are being hunted.

When Conan saves Trent from an attack, he’s instantly attracted to the familiar. He can’t believe his good fortune when Trent reciprocates his feelings. Then his home is attacked by groups of corrupt magic users.

Can Conan and Trent survive the battle while simultaneously saving each other’s souls?

ISBN: 978-1-64243-533-7

Reviewer: Lisa

Review: Trent has no clue about his past. His parents had abandoned him when he was just a small child. He had not known that they had did it for his protection nor did he have a clue about the magical part of his life. He is close to reaching his twenty-fifth birthday and things are going to happen. When dangerous men show up he thinks it is just a fluke and not real. Then he and another co-worker are sent out to look at some impressive old books, only to find the three there. When another man shows up to protect him well lets just say his mouth is wide open. He is about to enter another world, a world he never knew he was a part of.

Conan had almost lost his to his family. He was from a dark coven of witches and he didn’t want what they wanted. When he got away, with a bit of help from what he suspects is a goddess, he created a realm where he was safe and so were those of the familiars. Which is what Trent is, however he is even more unique than ever. He is a familiar of the five elements and needed a witch that could compliment him. He was that witch but he felt that he would never be given a bond mate due to his past. Boy is he in for a surprise.

This story has a dark tone to it that I usually don’t care for however it worked perfectly for this particular book. It is quite unique in the way it is told and the fact that the familiars are protected and are also hunted down. It caught my attention from the start and I just couldn’t stop reading it. It has quite a bit of action and danger mixed in with some pretty good times. The sex is pretty hot as well. The characters are sweet and bossy. It gave me almost everything I could want in a story and so much more.

I had a blast reading this and can not wait to get my hands on the next book by this author. I can honestly admit that this story will probably be read many times over. I would definitely recommend it.

Review: I was pleasantly surprised by Operation Toy Rescue it turned out to be a delightful story with a well-balanced love story mixed with a brilliant storyline.

Jules has been exiled from the North Pole to Snow Hope Island for ninety days for his naughty behaviour. After a short time at Snow Hope he begins to get ideas for saving the misfit toys that are banished there, his passion for his new job leads him to a close working relationship with Felix.

Felix loves Snow Hope Island it’s all he’s ever known but he feels sad at all the toys who will never have a child to love them, when Jules challenges him to consider fixing the toys and finding homes for them it gives him hope. Working closely with Jules has him admiring him and it’s not long before he’s hoping for more.

This is a lovey story that warms your heart as Jules and Felix fall in love while rescuing the fate of damaged toys. It’s a gentle love story that has a touch of tension in it, not only is it a race to prepare the toys for Christmas but a figure from Jules past surprises them both.

I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining story and think it’s a perfect Christmas story. It’s sweet, cute and while there are not huge amounts of passion there are still some sexy times that are just perfect for the relationship and a story of this length.

I recommend this to those who adore cute Christmas stories, for characters discovering love, a brilliant storyline and a very happy ending for all.

Review: I loved Raven and Tal in this story. They were close as could be and got even closer. The story was slow and focused a lot on the romance of the couple. I would have liked more action as opposed to romance but that’s just me.

The thing that confused me was there were references mentioned about using modern things yet the story is focused as older than that so I did not know what to make of it except that maybe they utilized modern inventions yet still had an old world feel to the story.

Aside from that I enjoyed the story with it’s dragons and riders very much and all it’s entertaining qualities.

Love can make a good crime go bad.

JT was a perfectly happy orc building cars in the Arizona desert until his old friend and sometimes lover Austin showed up and talked him into one last crime. Now “one last crime” has snowballed. With a new team of thieves — a supersoldier, a hacker, a driver, a graffiti artist, and a seafaring wizard — JT and Austin are determined to free an artificial intelligence from the dungeon of the Burning Magus.

For JT, this job is more than a prison break; it’s a do-over of The Job That Went Bad two years ago, the catastrophe in which JT lost his closest friend and then chose to abandon everything, even Austin. Maybe this time no one will die. Maybe this time JT can return to Arizona and bury his old life for good.

Except Austin won’t be buried. After two years alone, Austin knows he wants JT — not just as a partner in crime, but as the lover he always should have been. Maybe this time they won’t make the same mistakes, especially when it comes to each other.

He hates having to fight the war with Dracul, but his loyalty to his captain forces him to do no less. Unlike others of his species, he has formed no intimate bonds and has no intention of doing so. That way lies sadness. He takes his pleasure from feeding those he loves, content with his destiny. That is until he runs into an abused boy who needs more than a good meal.

All turning eighteen means to Jase is that now the man who he is forced to call Master can abuse him publicly. A victim of sex trafficking, Jase only knows one way of life-brutal submission to whichever man claims him. When his Master joins Club Lux, it’s more of the same until he finds himself in the hands of its strange chef.

Circumstances force Emil into a new and frightening role and Jase into the arms of a scary and unfathomable Master. Emil is worse than any man—or so Jase thinks, when Emil’s alien nature comes out. Jase wants to be a good slave and Emil frets about saving Jase from himself. While they try to find their way, a vicious crew member begins to terrorize Boston. Now Emil fights on two fronts—the scariest being that he will fail Jase.

Review: Each book in the Alien Blood Wars collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Jase has one hell of a nasty life. His father passed when he was just a young kid so he didn’t really remember him. Then his mother remarried and lets just say the man gave him the creeps. When his mother was killed it left him in the arms of a monster. A monster that ended up selling him. His latest master has had him since he was fifteen and he thought maybe death was the only way out. That is until a new kind of monster showed up, but this one was a good monster.

Emil is what is known as a vampire but it goes even further than that, the man was an alien. He was trained to fight, take care of plants and a chemist. What he loved to do is to cook. One notice of the new boy in the club has his heartbeat rising fast. However not in the one way you would think.

This book contains scenes of drug use and rape so beware. The way the author twists the old Dracula legend into the story we have now is pretty amazing. When they crashed into earth it changed many things for them. It separated many of the groups into the groups there are in now. Dracul led one group, a group that wanted death to humans and to rule the world. Then there is Emil’s leader Alex, a group that just wanted to live in peace. You have action and danger just flowing in this story and lets just say it is perfectly timed. The story had a fast paced that seem to work for this story. I didn’t care for the abuse Jase went through in the book, however it seemed to work. It made you feel quite a bit for the young man.

It is very entertaining and quite fresh. I can’t say that it is one of my favorites or that it will be read more than once, but it was still a pretty good book. It was missing something to me to make the story rock all the way. It is a very engaging book that kept my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end.

I enjoyed reading the book and look forward to the next one. I will also admit that I don’t care to read about the abuse Dracul dishes out to the two young men in his home and hope that their rescue is coming real soon. However as I said I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it.

Devoted to his kingdom and his duty to it, Edmund can do nothing but acquiesce to an arranged marriage with the queen of a neighboring kingdom. The marriage and the child it is required to produce will seal an alliance between Thalassa and Aither that is vital to Thalassa’s safety, and far more important than Edmund’s personal misgivings.

Raised in the politics of the court to support his sister’s rule, he understands the alliance is important to Aither, even as he worries about his sister marrying someone she’s never met. As they spend more time together, Edmund and Arden develop a close friendship, then stronger feelings, but with Edmund’s wedding approaching, they must hide their feelings, even from themselves.

Review: I was honestly on the fence about the overall feel of this story after I read it. Prince Edward, a water magic wielder, is arranged to marry the Queen of Aither, an air magic wielder, in the hopes of strengthening the treaty between the two. Once there Edward meets the queen’s brother, Arden, and slowly spends more time with the man. Eventually the two grow much closer and a hidden relationship begins.

Amid all this is the fact someone is trying to kill the queen and sets up Edward to take the fall. Now while all this sounds really good the delivery of the story did not quite match up to the pace of the blurb. It was slow at times and too rushed in other places. Some details that were needed were missing.

Overall the story could have been better, but that’s my opinion.

Good read.

That was, until the day he met Galen and knew deep in his bones that this was his fated mate.

Review: Each book in the Beyond the Veil collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characers, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I have never really been a fan of books with the fae in them, or should I say where they are the main characters. Galen is to be the King of the Earth Kingdom, once his father steps down. He was to bond with someone of higher standing, but the moment he saw Finc well lets just say there are going to be some pissed off people.

Finc was the result of a highbred noble man and a very poor woman who was not like him. She showed Finc the love that a child needed, but his father took that life away from him. He was brought to the man’s home and now had a stepmother and half brother, neither really cared for him. He thought it would never change, that is until he saw his half-brothers intended mate. Sparks are sure to fly.

It is a tale that has been told over and over, just in different ways. There was nothing really unique to this story, other than the characters themselves. However it is a very entertaining tale that will have you smiling. I liked the touch of danger near the end of the story, but for me it was a fun little book. All in all, I hate to admit that this story really didn’t do anything for me. It didn’t catch my attention like it should have, but that is just my opinion for my desires of the book.

The characters however were the part that rocked. Their mixing was a bit strange, but I always liked Finc and Galen, and knew that they had a story to tell. I just wished it called to me a bit more then it did.
