Review: This is part of A Wizards Touch collection and I would suggest reading them in order. However you don’t really have to. Amber has always given you a story that doesn’t always follow like many of the others. It has quite a twist to the story that will keep you always guessing. I think I actually like this one better than the others, but it can be a bit confusing. Not enough to take away from the story itself though. I had a blast reading it.
Maddie and Temple have always been together. When Temple’s family and pack save Maddie from drowning, there has been this connection between them. Temple never wanted to let him go. Everyone told him that it was because they were mates, but he never really believed it. He was half wolf and half wizard, so he didn’t have the best sense of smell. He just knew that he never wanted to be way from his best friend.
Maddie has always wanted Temple, but he feared that Temple did not want him. So when Temple decided to go to school to learn how to do magic, Maddie waited for him. Their friends and family had decided that they needed to start their own pack. After all you could only have one alpha in a pack. Maddie could learn to work on cars and Temple could learn to protect himself.
Then an injured wolf showed up, but it comes to light real fast that the wolf only wanted Maddie. Now Temple had to keep the man he loves safe and has come to realize that Maddie was his mate after all.
I love the mixture of different emotions in it. I also love how you can feel the desire, want and love that these two men have together. To me they are the perfect couple. This story has gorgeous men, feisty friends, crazy family members, excitement, action, suspense and danger in it.
I would definitely recommend reading it. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading it and kept it all the way to the end. It gave me almost everything I could ask for in a story.
