Blurb: World of Aquatica: When a police captain uses a free pass to explore a marine park, he runs across a man whose blatant pursuit turns his life upside down.

Captain John Casinov has two loves in his life—his family and his work. When his son, Jonathan, and the man’s family visits from Santa Cruz—primarily to try to convince him to retire and move south—John takes advantage of one of his detective’s offer. He accepts a bunch of free passes to the marine park, World of Aquatica. While there, he finds his interest snagged by a big, friendly, black-haired man. The handsome man brazenly introduces himself as William Roush…then he asks John on a date. While he’s flattered, John laughs it off while declining. Undeterred, William approaches John a second time later that day, so he accepts. Imagine his surprise when John discovers who William actually is—the partial owner of the marine park. John doesn’t understand why a man who’s young, confident, and rich—who could have anyone he wants—would pursue him. When William shares that shifters are real, John wonders at the man’s sanity…until William actually proves it. Can John come to grips with his newfound knowledge and accept William into his life? Or will retiring and running be the decision of the day?

Review: Each Book in the Beneath Aquatica’s Waves collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters I would recommend reading them in sequential order.

John was the captain of the police force and he loved what he did. However his son wanted him to retire and move south to be near them. He just wanted to do what he loved. When a night out with the family leads him to one hell of a sexy man, secrets start to come out. As well as the problems or at least problems for his son. Then he finds out William has a pretty big secret of his own and damn if it is not surprising for John.

There were a few issues with this story that made me drop the rating down a bit. For one it doesn’t flow as well as it should and it ended so abruptly. There could have been so much more added on to make it stand out which it did not do this time around. Also the police captain just didn’t seem to connect as well with his mate, which made it hard for me to connect with him. I do love how this author gives us some pretty unique characters to read about and makes their world stand out. Other than my issues it was still a good read.

I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to get my hands on the next story. I can guarantee that this is one of those stories that will be read many times over. I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: Wow a tiger shark! Tort just so happens to be one hell of a sexy tiger shark shifter who has found his mate. Now all he has to do is to figure out how to tell him. However he had intended to do it a bit more smoothly then how it happened, but your going to have to read that part.

Kane has come down to visit his sister and her kids. A trip to World of Aquatica sounded just right, especially as it was one of the kids birthday. He just hadn’t expected to accidentally get pushed into the sharks tank. Things are going to get a bit more interesting real soon.

I get a kick out of Charlie’s stories. She always manages to give us unique characters and situations. I love how the shifters are with their mates and how protective they are. This story caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. I loved the characters and their stories. This book gave me everything I could ask for in a story, I just wished they were a bit longer as I didn’t want to stop reading it.

I had a blast reading it and can’t wait to get started on next book. I can honestly say that this is one of those stories that will be read many times over.

Blurb: World of Aquatic: A day that starts like any other takes a sideways turn when a detective discovers that humans aren’t alone in the world.

Over two weeks before, Detective Grisham Canton arrested the wrong guy–Solomon Lynch. It wasn’t the first time it’d happened and probably wouldn’t be the last. What made it stand out, however, was the stranger who’d been with Solomon. Grisham didn’t know his name, but the memory of his lean, sexy body, wide dark eyes, and distinctive black and red hair invaded his dreams. Waking with a hard on was quickly getting old. Grisham heads to World of Aquatica, hoping to discover the identity of the stranger. When Grisham meets Cuzco Judson, the attraction is even more intense than his dreams. After a hot night with the man, Grisham learns a few secrets that turn his life upside down. Cuzco is an octopus shifter and believes Grisham is his mate. Grisham is about to get his eyes opened wide. He was the arresting officer for Solomon, although it turned out he was the wrong man. He coud not forget the sexy man that was wit Solomon and he was determined to find out. He just hadn’t expected to find out that his sexy man was a shifter.

Cuzco is a very cute octopus shifter. I would definitely love to come across one of his kind. He has found his mate. And things might be looking up, well as soon as they figure out who the bad guy is.

As always Charlie has given us a story that rocks. I admit that she is the only author who has given me a story about aquatic shifters that I find fascinating. Usually they are not the kind of shifters I like to read about. You get excitement, suspense, danger and some hot sexy times in these books. As always my attention was caught from the beginning and kept all the way to the end. This story gave me everything I could possibly want in a story and so much more.

I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next one to come out.

Solomon lost his family at the age of eighteen, joined the military for a few years and then went to work as a guard for a very rich asshat. He was definitely not happy there so when the asshat’s son wanted to run, he let him. It got him fired and almost killed, only to be saved by one hell of a sexy man. A sexy man that claimed to be a shape shifting hammerhead shark.

Anthony was just swimming along when he smelled blood. As a shark you can imagine what he was thinking, only to find out that the man was his mate. A mate that someone had tried to kill.

Once again Charlie has not disappointed me. This story caught my attention and kept it there all the way to the end. I can guarantee that this is one of those stories that will be read more than once. So much so that I am going to go back and read the whole series again. This book gave me everything from danger, excitement, suspense and some hot sexy times.

I had a blast reading this and can not wait to get my hands on the next book. I would definitely recommend this book and the rest of the series.

Instead, they give Braylon hours cleaning the park as a sort of community service. During that time, Tyrone has to go about doing something he hasn’t had to do in over four hundred years of life. Braylon is a rich kid with lousy taste in friends. The one time he listens and it ends him up in big trouble. Although the punishment is not so bad, the guy who is supervising him is a walking wet dream. Lets see if he thinks that once he figures out what Tyrone is.

I have followed this author for quite some time, her series always are very fascinating and unique. So when this new series comes out, I knew I just had to grab it. You don’t see many aquatic animals in stories, so for me it just made it rock even more. I do wish they had a bit more to them though.

Charlie Richards has done it again, given me a story that just rocked my world. I would definitely recommend this book.

Review:  I came across Charlie Richards some time ago when she wrote her first book in the Wolves of Stone Ridge series.  From the first book I was captivated and new that she would be a favorite of mine.  So you can imagine what I felt when I saw that she had this brand new series just coming out.  You guessed it, I had to run and grab it.

She has always written stories that don’t focus on one type of paranormal and for that alone she would be an author that I would follow.  I never figured a tiger shark as a shifter, but let’s just say Tort was one of a kind.  It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and definitely kept it all the way to the end.

Tort is a tiger shark shifter and works at the World of Aquatica Park, which is a bit like sea world I suppose.  He swims around and gives the audience a show.  He just hadn’t expected for a man to fall into his pool with a child.  Nor did he expect that man to be his mate.

Kane, his sister and her kids decided to spend the day at the World of Aquatica celebrating his nephew’s birthday.  Sounds like fun that is until he falls into the tiger sharks pool with a bleeding head.  Things are going to get exciting, but you must read the book.

It has a serious tone to it but there is quite a bit of humor that mixes with it.  This is one of those stories that will be read more than once.  I enjoyed reading it and can’t wait for the next book to come out.
