All that up-and-coming musician Jesse Jamison has ever wanted is to be on the cover of Rolling Stone. When a gossip website nearly catches him kissing someone who isn’t his famous girlfriend—and also isn’t a girl—he considers the near miss a wake-up call. There’s a lot riding on his image as the super-straight rocker, and if he wants to realize his dreams, he’ll need to toe the line. Luckily, he’s into women too. Problem solved.
After a decade pretending to be his ex’s roommate, pediatrician Hunter Wyatt is done hiding. He might not know how to date in the Grindr world, how to make friends in a strange city, or whether his new job in Toronto is a mistake. But he does know that no one is worth the closet. Not even the world’s sexiest rock star.
As Jesse’s charity work at Hunter’s hospital brings the two closer together, a bromance develops. Soon, Hunter is all Jesse can think about. But when it comes down to a choice between Hunter and his career, he’s not sure he’s brave enough to follow his heart.

Cam McGhee grew up like any other small-town Texas farm boy: he played football, went to church every Sunday, and married his high school sweetheart. But thirty-five years after he said “I do,” Cam finds himself nursing a beer in a gay bar, thinking about what might have been.
Dave Montoya is confident, self-assured, and cautiously single. But when he meets shy, uncertain, and clearly-still-not-out Cam in a coffee shop in Austin, his reservations about getting seriously involved again disappear. Cam is everything he’s looking for in a partner . . . almost, anyway.
No matter how much Dave wants him, and how good they are together, Cam can’t bring himself to openly embrace the life he was meant to live. After all, when his secret finally gets out, he faces the very real possibility of losing everything that kept him going for the first fifty years of his life, just like he’s feared for so long. But with a little faith—and a lot of love—his dream of living fully, truly, as himself might finally be within reach.

The Other Five Percent
by
Quinn Anderson
Logan Vanderveer has a joke he’s been telling since college: he’s ninety-five percent straight. He did some experimenting in school, but none of the men he fooled around with inspired him to abandon “the plan”: meet a nice girl, get married, and settle down, just like his parents always said.
None of them except Ellis Floyd, who aroused desires and feelings that scared Logan. So much so that he abandoned their burgeoning relationship just as it might have become something. But four years later, Ellis is back, and Logan finds himself questioning his sexuality in a big way.
Ellis doesn’t fit into Logan’s plan. He’s happy being a starving artist, whereas Logan has sold his soul to corporate America. Ellis is ripped jeans, and Logan is tailored suits. And, most notably, Ellis is out. But seeing him again is dredging up memories—like how it feels to kiss Ellis, and that time they almost went all the way. With chemistry like theirs, Logan isn’t sure he can—or should—keep ignoring the other five percent.
Blurb: Escaping an abusive relationship left Luke Preston anxious and spouting panic-induced poetry. Desperate for a fresh start, Luke accepts a job remodeling a tired old beach house for a professional soccer player and his model girlfriend. While his passion is literature, not sports, focusing on the renovations eases his anxiety. Until the job he signed up for turns out to be more complicated than advertised.
Sidelined with a serious injury, soccer star Michael Martinez decides his beach house is the perfect place to recuperate. Remodeling might be the diversion he needs to keep his mind off his busted knee. Falling for the pretty designer with some quirky habits wasn’t on the drawing board. Unfortunately, Luke didn’t build a big enough closet for Michael to hide in. Having a star-powered sports career used to be all Michael lived for, but he’ll have to reevaluate his plans and find the right words if he wants to build more than a beach house with Luke.
Review: First off, you’re in for a treat because this whole series is beautifully written and perfectly narrated. I absolutely have a new favorite narrator. I was so glad to see Lane Hayes wrote a series of these heartwarming, soul searching, and steamy novels.
This first book in the Right and Wrong Series, The Right Words, focuses on two alluring and flawed characters: Luke, the anxiety ridden interior decorator still on the mend from an abusive relationship who is slowly rebuilding his life and his career. Luke is desperate for this big new job, but just how much will he be willing to put on the line?
Michael, the sexy Latin lover even I want to take home, the jock soccer superstar who is healing from a sports injury and is hiding out in seclusion in his retro home, is certainly surprised by Luke showing up on his doorstep. It doesn’t help that Luke’s design services had been arranged by Michael’s disgruntled ex. Not a warm welcome as you can expect. These two have plenty of tension, attraction, and a journey of healing in common.
There are some fun plot twists, and fighting the drama of an athlete in the closet, a victim of abuse finding himself attracted to yet another boss, so many things could go up in flames. But the journey is wonderful, with splashes of heart sinking moments, tempered with some amazingly hot love scenes.
The most refreshing thing about how Hayes writes sexual encounters is that the main characters don’t rush right to the one finger, two finger, fuck trope. These lovers enjoy all the senses, the kiss, frottage, fellatio, simply being held by another human being, long before the intimacy of intercourse. Each scene, whether it be a simple kiss, or a hot grope up against a wall, is beautifully written and narrated to perfection. I love Michael’s accent, and the Spanish language is so perfect.
The Right Words is a refreshing journey through physical and psychological healing, bringing two lovers together against the odds and against society’s phobias. I loved it! Grab the whole series, you’ll be ready to load the next book as soon as you’re finished with the first!

In a battle of the alpha males, who will end up on top?
On the surface, Derek “Call me Dare” Nelson’s life is simple. He’s happy doing up campervans while living in a slightly illegal caravan in his riverfront yard. But life gets more complicated when a smooth-talking, handsome property developer offers to buy the land out from under his feet—the very same man Dare had to escort from a party nine months ago for causing a drunken scene.
Grant Matravers is living a double life, attempting to adjust to weekends as a single, soon-to-be-divorced gay man while staying in the closet during the week. The strain of keeping up appearances at work while missing his kids is bad enough, but add in an attraction to the shaven-headed, tattooed, totally unsuitable Dare and Grant finds his emotional barriers wearing dangerously thin.
Dare blasts through those barriers in a way Grant isn’t prepared for, challenging everything he thought he knew about himself as a gay man. But as their chemistry heats up and the intimacy between them grows, Grant edges towards a decision that could blow up in his face. Exposing a mess of complications that could destroy any chance for their happily ever after.
Product Warnings: Contains one sharp-suited man desperately in need of redemption, another whose thuggish exterior does a pretty good job of hiding his heart of gold, frotting in camper vans, a sensual head-shaving scene and several (noisy) guest appearances from Mas.

Blurb: Outside Collin Fitzpatrick’s dorm room is a dangerous place. Beyond his door the students of his small, conservative college think he’s straight, as does his Catholic family who’d disown him if they learned the truth. Inside, he’s safe with his incredibly sexy roommate Tanner D’Amico. Their room makes a perfect place to hide away and fall in love. The moment they cross the line from roommates to lovers, Collin becomes caught between their heavenly passionate encounters and the hellish reality that someone might find out and destroy everything. Tanner’s not used to being so confined, and wants to show the world how much he loves Collin. But Collin’s not sure he’s ready for the impact stepping outside will make.
Review: This book, in fact this series fits perfectly into the hearts and minds of those just truly discovering who they are, sexually, and in relation to the people and world around them. The story is set in the latter years of college, a point where we truly have grown up and the real world barges into our lives. Forced to admit what is true to them despite of their family and friend situations, Collin and Tanner find each other. Collin is totally repressed, from a oddly strict Catholic background and is nearly virginal, and Tanner coming from a more liberal background, finds the balls to make his move on his roommate and crush and is helpful enough to educate him.
Of course there is going to be trouble when a deeply closeted lover can’t openly declare his affections for his more liberal and less fearful partner. Hearts will be bruised, and new relationships may not have the bonds to last that kind of stress. What can convince Connor to come out to his family and show Tanner he really cares? That I’ll let you discover.
The sexual content is actually very intense though consisting of masturbation, frotting, and other sensual contact of heavy petting. It’s actually refreshing and steamy!
The narration is very good in the sense that Neiman’s voice is at that perfect range for a college age young man, the differences in characters can sometimes be difficult, and rhythm according to sentence structure and punctuation sometimes gets off beat. Maybe there was a missing comma here and there!
You must read/listen to this series in order. Overall a sweet and times heartbreaking love story. I cried, I panted, I shouted for love and justice! I grabbed the next book immediately!
Blurb: Collin expected to spend another summer fixing cars and working at the college pizzeria. Instead, he’s living in a beach house on Fire Island, waiting tables at a hip seaside restaurant and for the first time since he and Tanner got together, they can publicly be known as boyfriends. Being “out” takes some getting used to, but with the help of new and old friends, Collin is happier than he ever imagined. And more in love. But newfound freedom brings unexpected challenges, and when friends get flirty, old insecurities arise. Moments of doubt and jealousy threaten their happiness, and Collin and Tanner must confront the truth or risk losing it all.
Review: We get to go along with Collin and Tanner on their next adventure as lovers to Fire Island! I’ve had a few friends work there time to time, and it’s as steamy and magical as the story tells. This time our newly minted couple get to face the same hurdles many new relationships do, insecurity, jealousy and miscommunication…add to that Collin’s familial problems, and another upheaval within his family and you have big trouble. Will other lovers shed new light on this relationship, is it doomed, is inexperience going to trip them up? So many worries, and yes, once again you’ll get your heart stomped on a bit.
My favorite part about this book was the depiction of our banks island life. I could feel the storms, the magic, the sound of the waves and nearly smell the salt air and see the crabs scrambling into the night. That part was very lovely.
The sexual heat was ramped up a bit as Collin and Tanner’s relationship grew, so did their sexual explorations and tension that other sexual prospects added. They did graduate from a twin bed in a cell sized dorm to a third level bedroom with a king sized bed overlooking the ocean, so you could imagine the kind of heat that would inspire!
The narration is very good in the sense that Neiman’s voice is at that perfect range for a college age young man, the differences in characters can sometimes be difficult, and rhythm according to sentence structure and punctuation sometimes gets off beat. Maybe there was a missing comma here and there! His voice was very passionate throughout.
I shouted, screamed in my head at the stupid mistakes insecure people make, and fretted over each and every couple in this story. You must read/listen to this series in order. Their relationship truly builds upon book 1, and keeps flowing right into book three, I started it immediately!

For years, Tyler has ignored his attraction to other boys. But with Devin in the house, Tyler can’t deny his urges any longer. He falls hopelessly in love with his miscreant half-brother, and with the sport of basketball, once Devin teaches Tyler the finer points of the game.
In a time when love between men was forbidden, even criminalized, can Tyler find the love he needs from another boy? And is Devin a person to be trusted? Is he truly clairvoyant, or simply a con artist playing Tyler and others for fools? What does Devin really know about a local murder? And can Tyler trust his own psychic twinges?
