Blurb: Tommy is coming to terms with abuse endured from his former Alpha, and a newly-found mate. Ben is happy to wait while Tommy heals and accepts their mating. Will threatening e-mails put a roadblock on their way to happiness?

Still suffering from nightmares due to the abuse he endured at the hands of his previous Alpha, Tommy Morgan is trying to come to terms with life and a newly-found mate.

The last thing Benjamin Taylor, Panneath Alpha of Australia, expected to find was his other half, bloody and broken at the hands of another Alpha. Now months later Ben is more than happy just to sit at his mate’s side while he gets his life together again and begins to accept their mating.

Threatening e-mails, though, set to put a hold on their happiness as someone wants revenge for the death of Alpha Kegan Wallis.

Review: This book while not extremely bad, did not appeal to any of my tastes. First of the blurb pretty much tells the entire story except one detail. There was nothing to look forward to and the passion/intensity that would make you jump on the ride with both feet was totally lacking.

Ben is the typical (stereotypical) Alpha. Big and solid and domineering, causing everybody to respect/fear him while showing his sensitive side to his mate, being considerate and loving toward him and him alone. I’m afraid I’m quite tired of the type. I disliked their first time (and only time) together with a passion, and that was unfortunately the only time this read evoked any feelings from me. Ben had been so understanding during Tommy’s healing, holding his urges at bay only to erupt as the big, bad, domineering mate in bed with the incredible line “You will take  what I give you” and reveling in the fact that his mate is understanding in him being in charge.

Tommy on the other hand is yet another typical mate to an Alpha. Smaller, slimmer, weaker (even if he’s called strong for surviving the beating) and literally a pup with a wagging tail. Something akin to Pavlov’s dog that had me reeling and not wishing to continue. Holding on for months he suddenly does a one-eighty turn and transforms from a victim in hiding to a sexy devil in the blink of an eye. God, it was just so fast…

Now this read could have a chance of getting to me if there weren’t so many lost opportunities to create a bond between book/characters and reader. We completely miss Tommy’s beating and healing emotion-wise. We don’t get to live it with him, rather being simply told and that desperation and pain is lost in the haste of the book. Jumping from event to event with a speed that did not allow getting into it, the bond between the mates was treated in the same way, so did their mating. The fact that Tommy appeared to be the “hair-trigger” character with more ejaculations in the same paragraph than I’ve ever encountered didn’t help either.

The action plot as I said is already declared on the blurb. An Alpha-bitch-wanna-be that had her sights on Alpha Kegan Wallis, the man responsible for Tommy’s beating and other crimes, comes to take revenge. And that plot just didn’t do it for me either. No matter how vengeful you are, you must be a complete idiot to go hunting the Panneath Alpha of Australia just like that. I mean werewolves are supposed to have some sense of preservation right? Anyway, there were simply too many things wrong with the plot, too many holes and illogical incidents happening that ruined it for me.

The last drop was the male werewolves being able to carry children. Not only that is not supported with some kind of (even make-believe) facts as to how can this be possible at all, but it just about undid me with the transformation of a male into some semblance of an androgynous creature whose emotions were way beyond my comfort zone. It was too much for me to handle.

In the end this was a story that gave nothing to me except an overwhelming amount of clichés and stereotypes. Definitely not my kind of read.

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Kieran, Jubilee, Sean and Nicholas team up again tackling case with the US Marshals. A serial killer is traveling to Mexico to kill prostitutes, but the case is far from simple. Protecting a witness proves harder than it should and transporting a criminal is filled with danger as he becomes a target for murder. On the home front tensions are high when Juan’s adoption comes to a screeching halt and someone sets out to take Juan away from Kieran and Jubilee.

This is a great story as tensions run high and friendships are tested and relationships are strained. Kieran and Jubilee are put through the wringer as their hope of adopting Juan is crushed. They have to deal with the pressure of work and choices have to be made as their relationship is tested by stress. Sean and Nicholas are progressing nicely with their relationship although there are a couple of tense moments. Sean is still dealing with the emotional distress of being kidnapped and poisoned (Autumn Breeze) and Nicholas faces mutilation when he is caught in a trap.

This story has personal conflicts and trust is bruised. There are exciting cases and the revelation of yet another mole in the Marshal Service. These guys just can’t win can they? I really enjoyed this story because it actually caused me to feel conflicted about my favorite US Marshals. On one hand, I felt sympathy, but, I also felt that they over-reacted and I felt so sorry for the one who was caught in the middle when he was torn between his family and his friends. Oh, was that vague? *snigger*.

Nicholas and Sean are the main focus again with Kieran and Jubilee more in the background. We have so much scorching sex from Sean and Nicholas that I was beginning to think I was reading porn *wipes brow*. The Marshal Service comes into its own as we spend more time with the guys at the office, but don’t think there are less cases or action because we still get plenty of both with daring escapes and near misses that we have come to know these guys for. There is a quandary coming up though and I am sad to think we might lose some of the hot Marshals. Let us hope Texas pulls its head out of its arse and quickly approves gay adoption.

I have to recommend this to those who love great series, hot sexy men, danger, doubts and betrayal, hot sex, deep love and an ending that has you gritting your teeth.

Blurb: Ryan only dated girls before he met Jansen. He would like to say he’s simply confused except that’s just not the case. But how does he “get the guy” when his former girlfriend is out for the same prize?

Ryan’s former girlfriend, Cheyenne, is used to getting what she wants. Right now, she wants Jansen Branwyth. The only problem is so does Ryan. For the first time in his life, he’s strongly attracted to a man. Okay, maybe it’s not the first time but that first time didn’t count because it was two months ago and it was the same man. Except with the very beautiful Cheyenne going after Jansen and thinking she’ll have no problem getting him, Ryan is sure he has absolutely no chance. Jansen, however, doesn’t care one bit what either one of them think. He knows exactly who he wants and knows precisely how he will go about getting his man.

Purchase Link: https://spsilverpublishing.com/the-superior-jewel-ebook-p-1465.html

Review: Ryan briefly met a man who rescued him in his time of need. Since then, he has been plagued by the attraction he felt to the mystery man, as Ryan has never been attracted to a man before. Bumping into the man again, while he is on a ‘date’ with his ex-girlfriend, Cheyenne, on the Superior Jewel sends him further into confusion as his attraction is as strong as ever. But, why would the sexy man be interested in him when Cheyenne is pulling out all the stops to grab the man’s attention. Jansen hasn’t been able to get the sexy man he rescued off his mind. spotting him again on a lake cruise gives him the opportunity to get what he wants, but first he has to deal with the seductive Cheyenne first.

This is a brilliant ‘gay for you’ story where the sexy playboy discovers he has a heart that wants just one man. Ryan is such a sweet character, he is thoughtful, polite and unassuming, and discovering that he is attracted to a man confused him, especially such a successful man like Jansen who he has no hope of getting. Jansen is a confident playboy, just one chance meeting with Ryan stuck in his head. Jansen is sure that Ryan would be fun, but spending even a short time with the man convinces him that he wants Ryan for keeps. Cheyenne is a woman who is manipulative and conniving. She pulls out all the stops to get Jansen’s attention never realizing who Jansen’s prey really is.

I thought this story was brilliant. Ryan, Jansen and Cheyenne certainly make for entertaining reading. Although this story is set over the period of just one night, it does have a flashback to two months earlier when Jansen and Ryan first met. And even though Jansen becomes ensnared by Ryan’s charm very quickly, it doesn’t seem quick. Because, Jansen watches Ryan from afar seeing him interact with others and how Ryan handles Cheyenne’s behavior. Ryan is infatuated by Jansen, but we don’t get his clear feelings at the end, we just get Jansen’s determination never to let a jewel like Ryan go.

I did really enjoy this story and really, really enjoyed watching Jansen let Cheyenne dig herself a huge hole. Ryan is an absolute sweetheart and Jansen is like watching a shark circle waiting for blood. The sex between Jansen and Ryan is scorching, the possessiveness that Jansen shows is a huge turn on and Ryan’s slight submission is hot. The ending to this story is a happy for now one, but you can tell that they will be blissfully happy together.

I will recommend this to those that love gay for you stories, great characters, a bitch getting her comeuppance, a sweet man getting what he really deserves and a playboy losing his heart… oh and the really hot sex.

Then, someone starts stalking Grady and Leland. Randolph is the only person who knows who the man is, and he’s on the run from the stalker. Now he may be drawn back to the city to save the family he loves before the man destroys them.

It will take the combined efforts of all the Marlows and private detective Megan Arthur, to stop a mad man from killing again.

Review: Randolph fled from the man he loves when an old adversary crawled out of the woodwork, thinking that if he disappeared his husband and son would be safe. Now, two years later, his adversary has upped his game and is targeting Leland and Grady as a way to get Randolph back to the city. Leland and Grady have continued with their lives’ in Randolph’s absence, their medical practice is flourishing, and then their new receptionist, Jeremy, convinces Grady to help out at the local shelter for street kids. But, then Grady is targeted by a stalker and Randolph calls in favors to protect the ones he loves. Can Randolph take down his adversary before he loses his family?

This is an interesting story of a man turning his back on his family to protect them from danger. Leland and Grady never knew the real reason behind Randolph’s disappearance and now two years later, it has come back to haunt them. Randolph thought his family would be safe with him gone, but he is now being proven wrong and it is a race to keep them safe. Grady flirts with the pretty private investigator, Megan, who is assigned to keep them safe, and Randolph and Leland have to see if their love has survived the two-year separation.

We enter this story with the everyday life of Leland and Grady as they manage their pediatric practice. They hire Jeremy, who in turn introduces them to a shelter for street kids. They have no idea they are the targets of a killer who wants Randolph dead. The mystery surrounding Randolph’s disappearance is cleared up for us quite quickly, so we aren’t left in suspense too long. Jeremy puts together the pieces of the vandalism and phone call and damn, but Edward Kendrick is mean for what he does next.

This is more a mystery/suspense than a romance and although there are a couple of kisses both m/m and m/f that is the extent of the sexual contact. the mystery is good, but I did question what was the point of Randolph disappearing to save his family in the first place, when everything that happen could have easily been put to rest two years earlier if he had just stayed and confronted his adversary. It’s still a good story and I did enjoy it, I just found it pointless for Randolph to have run off.

I will recommend this to those that love mystery, suspense, reuniting love, finding love, danger and a happy ending.

Review: Seth returns to his hometown eleven years after having his heart broken by his high school crush. Now he’s starting a new life with his children and starting up his new bakery, when his long ago crush walks back into his life. Jared never understood why Seth left him behind and now he has the chance to make Seth his. But, first they have to put the past to rest and sort out misunderstandings. But, someone doesn’t want them to be together and sets out to tear them apart.  Can Jared convince Seth to stick around and fight for their love?

This is a great story of two young men who were driven apart by malicious friends, and then reuniting years later to discover love. Seth has been through hell. Returning to his hometown with his children is the only thing he wants to do, but running into the man who broke his heart years before isn’t something he needed on his first day. Jared is excited that Seth has come home. He is determined to make Seth his and getting to the bottom of why Seth ran all those years ago is the first step. Jared is a very confident man, although he hid a part of himself when Seth left him. But, after learning that Seth was injured, Jared finally admitted to everyone what he really wanted and now he sets out to get it. Seth is a much more unsure character. He was ridiculed in school and then was hurt by Jared, so he is still sore years later. Add that to his recent loss and brush with death he does get emotional when those close to him are threatened.

Both characters are great and although at first there is some angst between them, they both recover quickly and dive into a rekindling of their feelings for each other. The relationship develops quickly and is both hot and loving. the children are sweet and cheeky and extended family wonderful. The storyline is good with a touch of malicious mischief, threats and a very unstable woman. I really liked how the story played out and I understood Seth’s reactions to the threats he received. I know some people don’t like crying men, but it really fits with the circumstances and wasn’t over the top.

I will recommend this to those who love reuniting high school crushes, an unstable threat, danger, hot sex, settling the past and a very happy ending.

It’s here that his virtual character enables him to express traits he’s normally hesitant to share. Jayden has only recently started exploring the wonders of online intimacy. If only he could convince his cyber-lover to meet him in the real world…

Review: Ash has had his confidence bashed by his ex-boyfriend. Now he can only really let himself go when he is playing games in the online world. When he connects online with another character, he wishes he could get to know him more. And then there is also the sexy baker across the road that caught his eye, but Ash just can’t see the baker ever being serious about him. Jayden has started anew in a new town, his past experience with an ex-boyfriend also haunts him and although he has had some hook-ups he is drawn to the sexy guy in the antiques store across the road who won’t give him the time of day, so he relies on his online friendship with a dragon who intrigues him.

This is a great story about two men who have both had their confidence bashed by their ex-boyfriends. They both have their own ways of dealing with it, but they are both vulnerable to how others see and treat them. Ash has crawled into his shell and rarely leaves it. His view of himself is skewed and he has no social skills to speak of. Jayden was stripped bare by his ex, and although he still tries to be confident, the slightest knock sends him running for something sweet and chocolaty to eat.

I enjoyed this story as we see Jayden and Ash meeting in cyber space unaware of who their new friend is and then out in the real world as both characters lust after the other, but mistake each other’s actions. Both men have similar interests and they have instant lust between them, they have brief flashes of connection before their insecurities get the better of them. And then just as they both open up to each other, a terrible accident makes them grab happiness while they can. This is a well written story that has some really hot cyber action which carries over beautifully into the real world. It has two great characters who are both insecure and perfect for each other and make a really hot couple.

I will recommend this to those who love characters that fumble with life, some hot action with a Chocolate Mousse Mountain, opening your heart and a very happy ending.

Review: Talon can’t remember anything from before his parents disappeared. His adoptive parents have told him everything he knows about being Vermithian and he has sworn to never find his mate for the very real fear of pregnancy. On a routine delivery with his adopted sister, they are thrown across the universe during a storm. Crash landing on Tumaro is the least of Talon’s worry when he awakens and can’t find his sister and is confronted with his mate, Blaze. Blaze is overjoyed to finally have his mate, discovering his mate is also Vermithian is a blessing. Having their mating blessed by The One makes everyone happy, but there are a few who decide that they must go and they face a conspiracy that is centuries’ old, Blaze also has to look for Talon’s brothers and rescue them, brothers that Talon has no knowledge of.

This is a great science fiction story, weaving together an interesting view on what the human race could become. Blaze is the wolf shifter Alpha King. It was prophesied that an Alpha King would mate a Vermithian and change Tumaro forever. Talon has a target on his head, someone high up in GPA wants him and his family wiped out. Crash landing on Tumaro leads him to the man that he is destined for, a mate he doesn’t want. Coming to terms with his new circumstances, Talon embraces his mating, but still holds back a little, doubting he could fall in love so quickly.

Talon is a fantastic character; he’s fun, bossy and sweet. Blaze is a wonderful man; he’s an understanding, strong Alpha. He will do anything for his mate and his every breath is devoted to Talon. They make a fantastic couple and are very hot together. The storyline is brilliant and we meet lots of interesting characters who hopefully will get their own stories. There are a couple of different threads that come together in this story; an old conspiracy to eradicate humans, a prophecy of the Alpha King, a character being blackmailed, some complicated matings, and interesting background stories that look like they will be continued in future books. We are given a story filled with conspiracy, kidnapping, murder, plots and love.

I recommend this to those who love science fiction, shifters, falling in love, m-preg, a touch of kink, great characters, a brilliant storyline, lots of hints for the future and a very happy ending.

Blurb: The hottest nightclub in town. A man with a penchant for watching others engage in sexual acts. A shapeshifter with an obsessive ex. Nothing can go wrong, can it?

Lights, cameras, and a whole lot of action.

Voyeur was built on a simple premise: people like to watch. When Gage Sinclair hires Chi Zimmer, it’s strictly because he wants to bed him, but what Gage learns about Chi could lead to Gage’s death at the hands of Chi’s obsessive ex.

When confronted with Chi’s secrets, Gage must decide whether to stay with him or give up the one man who means the world to him.

Purchase Link: https://spsilverpublishing.com/voyeur-ebook-p-1442.html

Review: Gage has worked hard to get Voyeur off the ground with his friend, Ben. Now they are finally opening the exclusive nightclub. Employing the young man who walks in off the street is an impulse. An impulse driven by Gage’s wish to bed him, but what he wants from Chi soon changes when he becomes jealous. Chi hasn’t been in town that long, so he jumps at the chance to work at Voyeur. Getting involved with Gage is not his brightest idea, especially when his ex refuses to let him go.

This book is great for a quick easy shifter read. Gage likes playing the field, after being in a long-term relationship, he still doesn’t feel ready to try permanent again. Opening Voyeur is a dream of his. A place where you can enjoy voyeurism in all its forms, while having a good time with friends. When he employs Chi. he has no idea what awaits him with the sexy young man. Chi left his home and family to get away from a controlling relationship, when he meets Gage, Chi has the chance to be himself and after a rocky start Gage and Chi begin to dream of more. But, Chi’s past won’t let him go and Gage’s life is in danger.

This is quite a good story that has a strong relationship developing between Gage and Chi, but I found that the shifter part was a hard part of the story to swallow. Chi is a great character; he has strong views of what he wants and doesn’t like to play games. Gage thinks he knows what he wants, but meeting Chi throws him. Discovering the truth about Chi, shocks and scares him. Their relationship is very hot and sexual, but there is a slight touch of the unknown as they fumble with what they both want and what they can have.

Although I liked this story it didn’t quite feel right for me, there was just something that made it awkward and Chi’s behavior wasn’t always consistent. The shifter part was cloaked in quite a bit of mystery and although I would love to say that it made it more interesting, well it didn’t. and the way that Chi resolved the issue wasn’t realistic to the story, even if he was defending the man he loved. Gage’s reaction to Chi’s secrets was brilliantly done and I did like how Gage and Chi’s relationship developed and how they were together.

I will recommend this to those who love new beginnings, finding love when least expecting it, hot sex, shifters, a touch of kink, a touch of danger and a very happy ending.

Review: Noah is raising his sister’s kids and her most of the time. He has put his life on hold to do this. His best friend and babysitter is concerned for him and insists he take a night to himself, if it’s  just to go play hockey There  he meets Dillon and  though  he is very interested, he is sure that the man wouldn’t be interested in the baggage of his life.

This is such a lovely sweet story. Though it has some sadness and a bit of suspense it is still a sweet loving story. I couldn’t put it down. It’s one of those stories’s that makes you sigh and wish you could find a man like either Noah or Dillon or both!  I highly recommend this one!

Recommendations: If you like men raising family’s children, sweet story with some angst, true love, hot sensual sex, not explicit sex, a great story, this one is for you!

Review: Now this was an weird story that while my inner geek liked it and was somehow fascinated, it didn’t hold much story-wise.

Here we have Derek, a man who is not young yet we have no idea how old he is or exactly how he looks and that just irritated me, who answers an ad from a young photography student who was seeking a pro cosplayer.

Derek agrees to help young Pat and while there were many descriptions of the wonderful costumes Derek has, and there was this wanting he suffered for Pat during the photo shot, that was just it.

There was nothing to keep you interested in the plot; there was no intensity since there was a lack of an actual relationship. There was no courtship at all between the characters or flirting, they simply jumped to the next level and meanwhile nothing. Only a narration of posing before the camera this way and that and changing costume. No twist, no longing, no lust to keep you going.

As I said while my inner geek found it fascinating, but as a whole, I found it lacking and not something I really enjoyed.

Portia’s Two Cents:  I sometimes cringe when I read Thommie’s reviews, because she can be brutally honest.  But, in this instance I kinda agree with her.  This is not a badly written piece, but the divergence for the norm that I expect from Silver was odd. Kudos to Silver for trying something new, and I look forward to reading something a little longer from this author. I would recommend that you buy this book, just so you can read and review it.  And while The Photographer’s Closet left me staring at my Kindle, I have to admit, it kept my attention.

Blurb: Jesse goes to French classes with a friend, but soon spends more time having erotic daydreams about the teacher than he does on learning the language.

He is caught not paying attention once too often. Corwin, the class tutor, gives Jesse an ultimatum–a one-on-one lesson to prove he’s worthy to continue or be thrown out of the class.

Jesse accepts the challenge, but is his French up to the mark?

Moreover, is that the only lesson Corwin wants to give him?

Review: Cruelty! Cruelty I say. How can someone learn a damn thing with Corwin as his teacher?

When Jesse followed his friend to French Lessons he didn’t imagine spending all his time daydreaming about his teacher, Corwin. Try as he might to concentrate on his teacher’s words, all that assaults him is a baritone voice laden with sensuality that is racking his brain from inside out. And really, how is he supposed to resist that man who seems to be sex on legs? How can he think anything else but submit to his fantasies?

But, when faced with focusing on his French lessons or drop the class entirely, Jesse is willing to do whatever it takes not to lose even this from-afar image of Corwin.

A lovely, lovely short story by Pelaam that is so delicious and mouth-watering it makes you lose your brain for the short while it lasts. I liked it, I liked Corwin, and he’s just irresistible, quite hot and sexy. No wonder Jesse was having troubles focusing. I’d have loved having a teacher like him myself, even if it didn’t lead anywhere. Just the eye-candy he was presented as is enough.

And Jesse, oh my, strong, brave boy. I didn’t know if I was envy of him or pity him half the time. Poor fella, in the end though he got much more than he fantasized. I loved the sensuality between them and the intensity created from page one. Too sexy in my opinion.

So, if you’re looking for a fast, hot and lightly kinky story this is it. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. J

Review: Cheyenne is looking for an agent to help out in his office. Someone to help relieve the boredom in his downtime, instead of the wild fantasies of exotic holidays with hot men that he has to dream up. Rand has recently discovered why he had such unsatisfactory relationships. With the help of an old friend, he discovers what really trips his switch. Now, Rand is looking for a new job in a new town and walks into a travel agency with an ‘Agent wanted’ sign and a cute manager. Cheyenne is over the moon when sexy Rand walks through his door and decides he has to give him a very thorough interview.

This is a sexy short that will get you hot under the collar. We meet Cheyenne first, stuck in travel agency bemoaning his boredom and daydreaming about his fantasy holiday. Then, we meet Rand recently moved to a new town to begin a new life, looking for a job he thinks back to the night that he was ‘awakened’ to his newly discovered sexuality. The story then progresses to the two men meeting and hitting it off with sly looks and touches and a very thorough and hot job interview. Both Cheyenne and Rand seem to find exactly what they are looking for in those oh so brief moments together, and we are treated to some hot steamy sex and maybe the beginning of something that will definitely be hot but could also be special.

I will recommend this to those who want a hot sex fix, two men making an instant connection and maybe the beginning of a very sexual connection.

Blurb:  Micah Valery and Dr Santiago Curtis meet over Micah’s unconscious golden retriever. Santiago tranquilized her. That’s a good way to start a relationship, right?

Micah Valery is hearing impaired and unable to speak. As if that didn’t make life interesting enough, he also suffers from a panic disorder that regularly disrupts his life. With a wonderful assistance dog named Goldie, however, he manages to live independently, and comfortably.

When something goes wrong with Goldie, he meets Dr Santiago Curtis, a veteran veterinarian with issues of his own to cope with. Still, the attraction is strong enough to explore, and a new romance blooms.

Enter Micah’s estranged family, attempting to deprive him of his inheritance.

Reviewer:   Pammie

Review:  This story has two well-matched, sexy men and a supporting cast of adorable furry friends.

Micah and Santiago make a great couple. Both men have disabilities and problems, yet find ways to overcome them together. I have deaf/hearing impaired friends, so it was good to see such a couple so well presented. Their romance wasn’t rushed, and they overcame their obstacles wonderfully. Micah is actually far stronger than he thinks.

Situations come thick and fast for the couple, and while this is enjoyable and keeps a reader on their toes, I would have loved to see more of the couple just enjoying one another.

Micah’s human family has no redeeming qualities, but his and Santiago’s furry family is just adorable.

I would recommend it to anyone who likes hot, sexy guys, a dash of hurt/comfort, cute furry friends, and a HEA.

Blurb:  When Isaac finally decides to take a chance and make a move on the handsome guy who’s been coming to the bar where he regularly works, will his gamble pay off or will he lose big time?

Working the bar at Blackjack’s has its advantages for Isaac Anderson: free music, decent tips, and all the ogling of customers his eyes can devour. When his sights lock onto a regular Friday night patron, Isaac likes what he sees, but there’s just something not quite right about the mysterious Caleb Miller. If he wants to discover what that is, Isaac must take a gamble, but will it pay off or will he lose big time?

Reviewer:   Pammie

Review:  This story revolves around Isaac (Neo) and the mysterious Caleb.

Isaac thinks he’s blown his chances with the mystery man he’s eyed at the bar for months. The man doesn’t even finish a free drink before he’s running away after Isaac mentions ‘gay erotica’. However, he returns, and Isaac persuades him to go on a date. It’s not long before Caleb runs again, but this time, Isaac catches him, and discovers Caleb’s secret is epilepsy, as his new friends suffers a seizure.

Isaac reads up on the condition, and still wants to pursue a relationship, despite Caleb’s worries and initial resistance.

It’s a sweet story. Although the epilepsy is very debilitating for Caleb, he’s still quite dominant once he gets past his initial shyness. A lot of the story is the lead up to the revelation of Caleb’s condition, and then a cautious courtship. I would have liked to have seen more development of their physical relationship.

I recommend this to anyone who likes to see hurdles overcome, sexy guys, a dash of hurt/comfort, and a HEA.

Will the final confrontation with his past destroy everything Reynaud had in his present and prevent him from having a future with Cam?

Purchase Link: https://spsilverpublishing.com/reynauds-redemption-ebook-p-1432.html

Review: This story is the sequel to Cam’s Best Friend and they must be read in order. Reynaud is blissfully happy with Cam, but there is something tugging at his subconscious. Something that he should recognize. With Cam he returns to his old home, but everything has changed and the place where the council met is long gone, but that tugging is persistent. Leaving Cam at home, he sets out to find Madame Cousteau, the one who is calling to him. But, the council has changed and the danger of an enemy is strong. Can Reynaud defeat his powerful foe to return to the arms of his beloved Cam?

This story tells Reynaud’s side of things as he heads back to the magical world to see why he is being called. Cam and Reynaud are still deeply in love, but Cam is getting fed up with Reynaud denying there is anything wrong. Reynaud finally admits that he doesn’t know what is wrong, but that there is something calling him. Cam offers to take Reynaud back to where he used to live. Reynaud is devastated when he sees the destruction of his former home, but returns days later by himself determined to find the one who calls to him.

Although this is Reynaud’s story some of the book is from Baptiste’s perspective (Baptiste was responsible for Reynaud’s banishment). Baptiste has been biding his time and with the elders all getting close to the end of their time, he becomes power-hungry and resorts to nefarious means to get what he wants. Baptiste is a very nasty character and time hasn’t mellowed him in the least. Reynaud is great, although his disregard of Cam is annoying. He didn’t even leave a note, he just disappeared. Cam is much more forgiving than I would have been, but he loves Reynaud so it is understandable.

I recommend this to those who love magical paranormal, putting the past to rest, dishing out deserving punishments and a happy ending for Cam and Reynaud.

Review: Ezra is a private detective who is hired by the wife of a porn king, Maddox Fulton, who is missing and discovers that the man has been murdered. he is also hired to find who is leaving strange gifts on an older man’s doorstep and discovers the culprit, Gabriel, worked for the murdered man. Ezra is then hired to discover who the murderer is and it brings him into closer contact with Gabriel and his attraction to the man develops.

This story takes a step back from romance. Although there is a hint of it, and concentrates on Ezra’s investigations. Ezra finds himself in sticky situation when he is hired to find a missing man. He finds himself trying to find out the truth when the man turns up dead. But, with a list of people who hated the man, untangling the web of lies isn’t easy. Discovering that Gabriel is the culprit behind leaving gifts at another client’s father’s home is easy. Talking him out of doing it again, Ezra discovers his own attraction to Gabriel.

I enjoyed following Ezra through his investigations. his own admitted ‘stumbling in the dark’ guesses and I enjoyed seeing him connect with Gabriel. The mystery surrounding Fulton’s murder is good and I liked how it was set out although the culprit surprised me. Because, I had it set in my mind who it was and then, wham, we’re thrust into a situation with Ezra that boggles the mind. The tentative relationship with Gabriel is good and you can see that although the setting isn’t ideal they make a good first connection.

I will recommend this to those who love private investigators, danger, mystery and the beginning of a relationship.

Review: Mr. Boner is in need of a handyman…

Yes, this is how this story begins. It’s a hilarious start that promises good times. And you get them eventually. But, you need to overcome the storm and the barriers in order to get there.

Matthew Doner is a character lost in emotions such as guilt, anger and fear. He feels guilty for not being the perfect son, anger that he’s required to be perfect at all times and fear that he will not manage to be the man he wants to be. A better man.

When he gets out of prison he has a goal and is determined to reach it. He needs to create a place for people like him. People that come out in the world and have nowhere to go, no one to help them, no hope for a better future. But the road he has to travel is a hard one and every turn has another demon that scares him to his core. The only thing anchoring him and gives him some peace is the handyman he hired to help him with his project. Julian is a determined man. He has his own demons kept close to his heart and walled up from everyone. But, when the man puts something into his head, he delivers. He is the rock that steadies Matt when things threaten to overwhelm him.

This story is a romance in its core, heavy and intense with emotions. While I disliked the fact that the protagonists laid the “I love you” line even before they hit the sheets, it didn’t ruin the plot for me. There are all the stereotypes involved here; there is the cold mother, the uncaring father, the irresponsible brother, the old money and expectations that come with it and the victim of a protagonist. And on the other side there is the abusive father, the mother that endures it all, the lost big brother and the child who is forced and determined to be a better man despite his past. Yes, quite cliché yet I loved it, the text and story and the entire development was lovely to read.

The characters were so very enjoyable, their constant battle with their walls and secrets, the effort they both put to open up to each other, the way they made a big deal out of things that seemed so easy to overcome. All that had me loving these characters even more. The chemistry between them was exquisite as well. I loved them together. I loved it when they kissed and made love to each other. I loved how they bonded. Again, despite the fact that that line was thrown early on, it didn’t affect my view or how I perceived this couple.

In the end though, the most lovable thing of all was Matt’s dad. He surprised me and I couldn’t have wanted it any other way. It is obvious this story has a happy ending and it is obvious that this is a journey that each of the character primary or secondary take to become better men through each other’s strength and support. That much you know from the start. What you want to know is if the journey and the read are worth it. It is and I think anyone who loves a good romance will simply adore this one.

Ceron known as ‘Red’ due to his beautiful rose-gold hair, works two jobs to help support himself and his grandmother. He cannot understand why the local Wolven pack would suddenly begin to attack villagers after generations of living next to his village in peace. When he is attacked by Torrin, a big, cruel woodsman who seeks to be the next village burgher, it is a Wolven who rescues him.

Storm is the son of the pack’s Alpha, and the two men are instantly attracted to one another. Storm courts Ceron carefully, each man knowing that to love the other would meet with disapproval. But their love will not be denied.

However, if the Wolven are innocent, who is guilty?

Review: Ceron works hard to help support his grandmother. He works two jobs and visits his grandmother nearly every day.  Ceron doesn’t worry about the Wolven when he crosses the forest, because he doesn’t believe that the Wolven are causing trouble like others think. When he is attacked in the forest it is the Master Woodcutter, Torrin, who is the culprit and the Wolven, Storm, who rescues him. Developing a relationship is risky as neither Storm nor Ceron know how either of their communities will react. But, their love is worth the risk. And, if the Wolven and the villagers are innocent, then just who is attacking the human villagers and causing problems for the Wolven?

Ah. the twisted tale of Little Red Riding Hood, with a slight mystery as to who is causing trouble for the villagers and Wolven. Ceron and Storm make a very sweet couple. both of them are willing to take a risk for their love to be recognized. After they first meet, Storm slowly and gently courts Ceron, easing him into a relationship. They meet in secret, because they both know they would face disapproval at first and also because there is tension between Ceron’s village and Storm’s pack. After meeting Storm’s pack, Ceron discovers that it couldn’t be the Wolven attacking the villages unless there is a rogue Wolven about. But, it causes problems for Ceron when the culprit targets him.

This is a great retelling of an old well-known fairy tale with its own added twist. the story is well written and has a romantic feel throughout. The lovemaking between Storm and Ceron is sweet and gentle and very loving and fits with the story that is woven perfectly. The danger they face is unexpected and fierce, and the support they both receive is heartfelt and shows everyone pulling together. I love how Pelaam has revitalized this tale with an M/M twist and the way she has given it a twist to the end. giving the Wolven a happy ending but still giving it an edge of danger.

I have to recommend this to those who love twisted fairy tales, romance, true love, sweet lovemaking, great characters and a very happily ever after.

Review: Clive is a private investigator who is hired to look into the disappearance of two girls thirty years before.  It’s a case he knows well, as his husband, Teddy, and his family was nearly destroyed because of it. Accepting the case is a chance to clear Teddy’s father’s name and Clive asks his husband for his help. Teddy has always had the specter of his father’s suicide over his head.  Helping Clive to discover the whereabouts of one of the girls who went missing might get him answers.  But, danger lurks as they dig into the past.

Ah, I enjoyed this story for its simplicity of relationship and its interesting mystery. Clive and Teddy are an established couple, together for over ten years, Clive’s a PI and Teddy a police detective.  When Clive is approached to take on a case where Teddy’s father was a prime suspect, he jumps at the chance to lay the past to rest. Teddy and Clive join together to find out what really happened thirty years before and to discover why one of the missing daughters has only now contacted her mother.

This is a well written story of a long-term couple who work together to discover the truth of the past. The storyline is great, investigating a thirty-year old case which leads to murder and mystery, but it also shows a wonderful relationship between Teddy and Clive. Raking over the past shows shoddy police work, casting doubts on what really happened. Discovering connections nearly forgotten and a new link to the present and putting the past away isn’t as painless as they had hoped. Teddy and Clive are brilliant, as you watch them together and see the love and support between them.  There’s no conflict or angst in their relationship which makes a lovely change and they have a very health sex life that is only alluded to *pout*.

I recommend this to those who love established long-term, still madly in love relationships, a great mystery, a touch of danger, laying the past to rest and a happy ending.

Review: Defense lawyer Owen is starting to get his life back on track after a really bad year, when he receives a phone call from his childhood best friend, Reed, for help. Owen rushes to his hometown to defend Reed’s brother from a triple murder charge.  The evidence is overwhelming, but Owen will do everything he can for Reed. Reed starts to think it was a mistake to ask Owen for help, he has never gotten over Owen leaving him without a word fifteen years before.  But, denying his feelings is impossible and when the murder case is over will he be able to let Owen leave his life again?

This story is a mix of murder investigation and reuniting with first love, forgiving the past and starting anew. Owen and Reed parted ways when Owen left without a word when they were eighteen.  Reed might have been able to forgive him, if it hadn’t been for the promise that Owen made the night before his departure. Now, fifteen years later Reed needs Owen’s help, hoping that he can keep his lingering feelings hidden. Owen has always thought of Reed, he had to do what he did and now he will get to see Reed again, even if it is in the middle of a horrific triple murder.  Owen just prays that he can get through to Reed that he never stopped caring.

I really liked the mystery of the murder case and the investigation that Owen launched.  Trying to discover exactly who would frame Reed’s brother all the while trying to make things right with Reed. Reed and Owen’s relationship is very rocky and it has sharp ups and downs.  You can see the reasoning behind both men and the real awkwardness of the situation.  The tension is palpable between them and you just know it could explode into passion at any time. The story is well written and although the mystery is well done, I think the relationship lacks real depth.  Even though they clearly still love each other after all the time apart, the relationship was written more as an afterthought with little real effort on either men’s side other than their continued attraction.

I will recommend this to those that love first love stories, mystery, danger, reuniting love and a happy ending.
