Blurb: In work and in love, life has taught seasoned police officer Jack that closeness only leads to pain. But Jack is wracked with guilt when his rookie partner Kevin is shot during an undercover assignment and dies in his arms. Why didn’t he take the time to get to know the rookie a little?

At the funeral, Jack takes a liking to Kevin’s brother, Devin. But Jack knows making a connection can cause more hurt, and living on opposite coasts is an added obstacle.

With his brother dead, Devin feels a responsibility to Kevin’s pregnant widow, Marie. He packs up and moves east, only to have Marie, outraged that he’s put his life on hold, slam the door in his face. Devin turns to the only other person he knows in town. As much as it goes against his philosophies on life, Jack takes him in without hesitation.

Their tentative exploration into romance is interrupted when Devin is mistaken for his dead brother and taken captive. Just as Jack opens his heart, reality slams into him. But he can’t lose anyone else. More than the need to simply save a captive drives Jack to find Devin and bring him home.

Review: It’s extremely difficult for Jack to come to terms with the shooting death of his new partner on the force when an undercover op goes bad. His guilt over realizing how much he didn’t know about the Kid soars as he meets his dead partner’s wife for the first time and realizes so many new things he should have known about his partner; that his wife is also a cop, and that his Mother’s family is insane.

Jack helps Marie through her grieving, including two funerals, one home with them, and the other back in Alabama where Kevin’s family is from. While there, he gets the shock of his life when his dead partner greets him at the wake. If Jack had only paid attention to his now deceased partner, he’d know about his twin brother….Devin. Then Marie lays another shocker on him shortly after the dust has settled…she’s pregnant, and that ends in another surprise…if you miss the obvious hint with Devin and Kevin.

This is a tragic, surprising, funny, creepy, scary, and often times just ridiculous RomCom. I know, it’s hard to describe something as a romantic comedy when it starts with a tragic death, but that’s the overall feel I get from this book. There are just too many extreme situations, like living with someone with whom you are mutually attracted and not knocking boots much earlier. Maybe my experience is off, but really, a hot sexy man who wants you and you want him, and you manage to keep hands off for nearly nine months? Maybe this is actually a fantasy… but a cute one.

Blurb: In New South Wales, Australia, in 1876, sweating out a living from the savage, dry wilderness tests a man’s worth. Cattleman Jim Kelly gave up everything he knew to outrun the law with his lover Mark Turner. Struggling to survive, the two turn to crime and venture farther into the harsh outback. And while Jim is enthralled by Mark’s almost paranormal strength and physical power, he starts to question his love after seeing Mark’s explosive temper first hand.

Review: We pick up where Billabong left off, with Jim and Mark running from the law and finding work and sustenance where the can find it or take it. Though Mark resorts to holding up a small family wagon for food, Jim later realizes they not only paid for the food, but the holdup wasn’t even real.

Though Mark shows violence and hardness, those occasions where he does are to protect Jim or himself from life or death, or to right a wrong against old friends. Life as an outlaw isn’t quite what Jim had thought. Interesting characters are met along their route helping out as cattle hands, and things are going so well they let their guard down. That is until Mark and Jim overhear bad news in the small town after the end of their cattle run. Mark reacts, and the law comes down on them again, this time with no way out but the hangman’s noose. And that’s the cliffhanger Byrne leaves us with.

There are lots of hot and hard sexual encounters, my favorite being under the hot sun in a hard place! But I’ll save those deets for you, because you’ll want to grab this adventurous series set in the Australian outback with lots of hot cowboys and sexy men on the run!

Blurb: James Ayala thought life would be smooth sailing once he escaped from a Red Idaho reeducation camp and returned to Blue Oregon. He was supposed to get answers about the biocybernetic chip that made him empathic, face the man who implanted it, and then ride off into the sunset with his new boyfriend, Matt Tennimore.

Life, however, has other plans: the bad guy dies without giving them any answers, they left their horse in Idaho, and Gramma Anais finds a parasite on James’s implant-one that forces James into isolation. Matt just got James back to Oregon where he wanted him, and extraneous brain hardware or not, he has no intention of letting him go. But James hesitates to move in with him. Despite his hurt, Matt has to man up and do his job, leaving James behind, while the rest of the team struggles to find the real mastermind behind the implant and the parasitic “Trick”-before it takes over James’s brain. But will it be too little, too late to save him?

Review: This book is the second in a series that must be read in order or you won’t fully understand the concept behind the characters, world, and storyline.

Matt Tennimore and James Ayala managed to make it out of Red Idaho and have now returned to Blue Oregon, and Matt’s insane family. You know that old saying ‘no rest for the wicked’? The tenuous relationship between these two must endure a few more hurdles before they can have their happily ever after.

The parasite in James’s brain that enhances his psychic abilities has become dangerous, and Anais isolates him in an attempt to isolate the problem. While James is dealing with the ramifications of the implant, Matt is sent back into the Red zone for another extraction. If James survives the ever-evolving implant and Matt survives the extraction, will their still fragile relationship survive the anxiety that is a result of separation?

A lot of the things I loved about the first book were sadly missing in this book. Matt’s fierceness was absent, and that was one of his best qualities. He was overly emotional which bordered on annoying. There was a dry, witty humor surrounding 18 % as well that was rarely seen in this installment. I’ll give the author a pass on that aspect though as the story went a little darker this time around. Matt’s crazy and eccentric family is just as kooky as ever though, and the overwhelming attraction that Matt and James share was ever-present.

While the first half of the book is melodramatic, confusing and a bit slow. The story does pick up and remind the reader why you picked up the book in the first place. Because Tenino is an inventive writer and this world she has created is still highly engaging. So while I didn’t love this book, I did like it.

I still recommend this series, especially if you are a fan of the sci-fi/dystopian genre. Matt and James are still as sexy as ever and I look forward to seeing where Tenino goes with the relationship between Logan and Lazlo!

16-year old Russell is going on dates with girls while nurturing a secret relationship with star quarterback Kevin, who will do anything to prevent his teammates from finding out. Min and Terese tell everyone that they’re just best friends. And then there’s Ike, who can’t figure out who he is or who he wants to be. Finding the truth too hard to hide, they decide to form a Geography Club, thinking nobody else would want to join. However, their secrets may soon be discovered and they could have to face the choice of revealing who they really are.

Review: This movie is equal parts Romantic Comedy and Drama, there is a little bit of both evident while viewing. Russell has lived 16 years without questioning his sexuality. That is until the quarterback of the football team kisses him in the rain. A flip is switched that leaves Russell desperate to figure out who he is. He’s invited to join the ‘Geography Club’ by the one person that saw that rainy day kiss, a club that is made up of other LGBTQ teenagers.

While Russell and his struggles with not only his sexuality, but his personality overall, are the core of this movie there are so many supporting characters that make the movie a huge success. Russell’s best friend Gunnar is borderline over weight and never had a girlfriend. He sort of uses his friendship with Russell to snag a date. These two have their ups and downs but their long lasting friendship preservers and keeps them both strong in the end.Kevin is a closet case, plain and simple, which baffles the mind since his parents are the most accepting of anyone in the group.

Min is the president of the club, wanting a safe space for herself, her girlfriend and other LGBTQ students to come, share and feel safe. Her girlfriend Terese is large and in charge, but unsure if she wants to come out, and this cause problems for them. Ike is just adorable and absolutely hysterical going from saying he’s only ten percent gay to finally admitting he’s just flat out gay by the end.

It can’t be all sunshine and roses though, now can it. The guys on the team ostracize Russell as soon as he is outed by snot nosed rich bitch that plasters posters of Russell pulling away from a kiss, with a girl, all over the school. She does it because he rejects her affections, partly because he is gay, but partly because this is the girl that his best friend Gunnar likes. Russell also has to decide if he is going to be out and proud while his “boyfriend” Kevin hides in his closet.

This movie was so much fun. While there were some dramatic moments and a brief scene of bullying, there was some budding romance and a lot of side splitting laughs, especially ‘Flo’s Gay Dads!’ You will have to watch the movie to understand that reference. The acting was good for actors of this age, and the storyline kept me engaged throughout the entire movie.

Fans of Shelter, Latter Days and White Frog will love this movie. It’s streaming on Netflix and available through Amazon instant video. And then if you LOVE it, as I did, you can buy it on DVD, as well.

Tams’ Review: ♥♥♥♥♥4.5Hearts
Police Detective Max Bowman makes no secret to his fellow officers that he is gay, but he doesn’t flaunt it either. When out at a bar trying to unwind and grab a quick lay, he puts his trust in the wrong person. Max goes from passing out after being bashed and mugged to waking up in a dark room surrounded by red silk sheets. He can feel the remnants of the attack, but he has no memory of how he got where he is. Well, other than a pair of piercing green eyes.

Carter Grey has been on the run for close to eighty years. He realizes exactly what he is, a killer. But there is a suave and finesse to his style both inside and outside the bedroom. He seduces his meals and enjoys them fully before he drains them then buries them. He was going to drain Max as well, until he was caught up in those brown eyes and the enigma that is Max Bowman.

The two things these men do best is fight, and then make up. Carter is determined to live his life alone, soulless, without love. There is something about Max that calls to him though. He swears Max makes his breath catch and his heartbeat faster, which is saying something since he has no heart and hasn’t sucked a breath in almost a century. Max feels the pull to Carter as well, so much so that he can find Carter just by mentally wanting to. They don’t understand why they want each other so badly and they give a valiant effort to fight the attraction, well Carter does anyway. When an old enemy makes his presence known, Carter fears losing the one man who has made him feel in over eighty years over a false accusation.

Oh, but this book was fun! There was suspense, danger, a bit of comedy and flat out raw sexuality. The banter back and forth between Carter and Max made me snicker more than once. Carter is this other worldly, domineering personality that has to have his way and gives off the ‘I’m not budging’ vibe. While Max is a big, burly cop with the attitude and sex drive to match. There chemistry is immediate and electric, so much so that sometimes it was too much. Like I said, their two favourite things to do were fighting and each other, but the overuse of sex put a little bit of a damper on the story.

But overall, this was still well worth the read. If you are a fan of paranormal, vampires, sex on a stick alpha males and that added air of danger than this is the perfect book for you.

Lisa’s Review: ♥♥♥♥♥5Hearts
I love Lisa’s stories and this definitely made my top ten of great mystery and suspense stories. She gives you characters that will draw you in and have you falling in love. It will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and biting your nails waiting for these two men to get what they deserve.

Detective Max Bowman is in search of a killer in the middle of Las Angeles. There was something strange about these killings that kept him guessing, but he is soon to find the answers in a way he never thought he would.

Max was a damn good Detective but when the evidence and leads start drying up, he is left with questions. Although he should have thought just a bit harder on his decision of going out and having a drink. He gets his drink all right and then gets his butt handed to him by two very ruthless men. He slowly wakes up to a very gorgeous man looking down at him and he wakes up in a mood. A mood for sex, that is until he finds out that his sexy hero, is in fact a vampire. A vampire with an attitude.

Carter has been a vampire for a very long time and a published author for just a few years. When he finds a very sexy man, being beat up he decided to help him. Although to be truthful, he also wanted to drain him of his blood. But something was keeping him from going there. He wanted this man for more than blood, he just couldn’t figure out why.

Here there was two men wanting each other and they still needed to find out who was behind the killing. Carter found out who and knew that the man was coming for him. Too bad the man behind the killing was coming after the wrong vampire. Now all they had to do is to give in to their desires and fulfill their most wanted ideas. To keep each other safe and to learn that love over comes all other wants.

I loved this book and cannot wait for more from Lisa. Her stories always gives you sexy men, dangerous situations, suspense and mystery, heated desires, quirky attitudes, a touch of humor and the paranormal world. A world that I found myself captivated in and kept me there to the very end.

I would recommend reading this book especially if you want all of the above and so much more. It was an amazing read that I found myself wanting to read it more than once.

by

Rebecca Cohen

Upon taking the throne as High Lord of Katraman and Liege of Scura, Lornyc Reagalos’s focus on rebuilding one city and reassuring another leaves little time for his husband, Methian. Added to that, he must contend with the unexpected revelation that his grandfather, Romanus, set up his own religion and named an enigmatic figure called The One as its deity. Through some twisted interpretation of the signs left by Romanus, the Cerulean Cult comes to believe Lornyc is their god and invites him to sanctify the Cult as part of its five-hundred-year anniversary.

During the Sanctification Ceremony, the Cult’s holy relic, an orb given to it by Romanus, is split, releasing an entity that tears a hole in the dimensions. The species that guards the dimensions, the Valen, force Lornyc to fix the breach, or they will have him extinguished.

Now as Lornyc faces a race through the different planes of existence to capture the escaped entity, he must rely on his own Valen guardians to help him. With Methian and his family by his side, Lornyc must fight to repair the damage or lose his life.

Blurb: Todd Burton has had enough of small-town Buckman. His abusive stepfather calls him a fag; his friend Austin makes him realize he may be gay, but Todd doesn’t want to admit his stepfather is right; and he dreams of being a chef. Three good reasons to flee his hometown and pursue greener pastures. But when Todd reaches the big city, his luck runs dry. Soon he can’t pay his rent and gets evicted. In the middle of a snowstorm.

Gabe Richards is a wealthy businessman with enough wounds of his own to make him afraid of ever being intimate again. But when he sees Todd outside his building, freezing to death, he takes pity on him and takes him in from the cold.

To their mutual surprise, Todd and Gabe find themselves drawn to each other. “One night” turns into a week. Maybe letting a man in from the cold can melt the ice around Gabe’s heart—and maybe getting evicted will turn Todd’s luck around.

Todd Burton is jobless, broke and now homeless in the middle of freezing blizzard. Not the greatest combination. Little does he know that the man who lets him come inside the foyer of his apartment building is about to change his life, irrevocably. Gabe Richards is always paying it forward, so much so that he’s had his heart demolished in the past because he is so kind. But he can’t resist wanting to help the scared, frozen young man he finds outside his building.

When Gabe offers him a meal and a place to sleep for the night that is safe and warm, Todd immediately gets the wrong idea and not only insults Gabe, but hurt’s his feelings. None the less, when Todd realizes he has nowhere else to go, but out in the cold, he decides to take Gabe up on his offer.

Todd spent the better part of his life ignoring his sexuality. There have always been hints, little clues, like the heated make out session with his best friend Austin, the men’s fitness magazines he horded as a teenager, oh and the underwear model ads, all male models. But a verbally, mentally and sometimes physical abusive homophobic stepfather made him deny née and every inclination he had toward the same-sex.

But now that Todd is staying with Gabe, he’s finding it hard to ignore the attraction to him. There is also a familiarity and a trust with Gabe that Todd has never experienced with another human being.

Gabe was rescued himself by his boss, mentor and friend Peter when he wasn’t much older than Todd is now. It made his very aware of just how precious life is and how some people just need a helping hand sometimes. Gabe also wears his heart on his sleeve, which some people will take advantage of, which is how he got his heart broken by a young man he helped once a few years ago.

Though Gabe still does anything and everything he can to help someone who is down and out on their luck, he’s safeguarded his heart. Fear of being taken advantage of and hurt again make him deny his increasingly growing feelings for Todd.

Love at first sight and all that are at the core of this story, that and coming to terms with who you are and how you want to live your life. Todd will have to set aside all the ingrained hatred that is stuck on repeat in his brain and Gabe will have to open himself up for possible heartbreak again, if they are going to stand a chance at any kind of happy ever after.

I was hooked on this story from the first words uttered by Charlie David. The scenario of a young man who is battling his own mindset in order to be who he really is was seriously fascinating. Thomas did a great job of writing the inner turmoil that Todd goes through with his stepfather’s barrage of insults constantly repeating themselves inside his confused mind.

It’s not until he finds a way to turn that off that he finally opens himself up to Gabe. The narration was splendid, with David giving that southern twang to Todd’s accent while Gabe had the more mature and commanding tones to his voice. But my personal favorite voice would have to have been Peter, Gabe boss and friend. David really captured the maturity and British nuances to Peter’s proud voice.

If you are a fan of coming of age and being true to yourself stores with a sexy edge, Charlie David narrating and just overall a fun, romantic read then you really should give this one a go. I recommend it!

Review: Broken Wings is a short about two strangers with completely different personalities that are thrown together due to circumstance, and end up falling in love.

Adrian doesn’t take risks. He lives his boringly mundane life on repeat, completely terrified to deviate at all. Fear, panic and anxiety rule is life; until Cassius comes crashing into it. Cassius is a bird shifter hiding from another shifter who wants to kill him. Adrian takes his first risk by hiding Cassius, his second risk is opening up and letting Cassius into his life.

The two begin their own routine and slowly wrap themselves into each other’s lives. Cassius grows more attached and attracted to Adrian with each passing day. When Adrian finally lets Cassius know that the attraction is mutual, Cassius will do everything he can to make him feel loved and safe. But soon Cassius’s past catches up with them and Adrian will have to take a risk to protect the man he’s grown to love.

If you’re looking for something short with a decent storyline and solid characters, give Broken Wings strong consideration. Some hot bird man/man sex that involves wings and levitation only sweeten the plot!

Blurb: Paul shouldn’t be playing with younger men, but Adam is irresistible…

Travelling salesman Paul is in the historic English town of Lincoln for one night only. Approaching forty and feeling sorry for himself over the lack of a special man in his life, he is looking to pick up a spicy little something to take back to his hotel.

In a bar, he’s hit on by twenty-year-old poetry-obsessed student, Adam. The age gap is too great, and Adam is too young and naïve for Paul. They have nothing in common and it shouldn’t work. Paul should know better than to chase a younger man but after a night of wild sex, Adam is too keen, and Paul has limited willpower…

Review: Paul is on a business trip when he meets a younger man Adam. Paul hasn’t much opportunity for sex but he isn’t so sure he wants to do it with such a younger man. He can’t seem to get his mind off Adam and Adam seems sure to let Paul be his first. However, after their very fun night Paul can’t get Adam out of his mind.

I really loved this book. I found the style very moving and beautiful. I thought it read like an older poetic story. I did like both characters; however, I found Paul’s actions a bit on the stalker side. Having said that, it did lead an eerie, though beautiful concept that Paul was very determined in his conquest.

If you like poetry, older men-younger men, sexy first time sex, and a beautifully told romance this is definitely for you.

Blurb: Two men—Kenyon a street cop, and Teo a social worker—come together as they try to help a seven-year-old boy abandoned by his mother.

Social worker Teo Marino becomes involved when the boy is placed in the care of Human Services. Kenyon is a man looking for real love, while Teo is the consummate playboy, going from one man to another as the spirit moves him. And yet these two men, truly yin and yang, are drawn together. It takes a misunderstanding to force them to face their feelings for each other.

Cat’s Review: ♥♥♥♥ 4 Hearts:

Kenyon is a cop and Teo is a social worker. They meet when Kenyon and his partner Pat stumble upon a homeless 7-year-old boy. Kenyon is very drawn to both the boy and Teo. He soon finds out that Teo is a player and Kenyon is looking for something real.

I really liked this book, but I am a big Edward Kendrick fan. This book is full of charming interesting characters. The storyline is intriguing with some mystery and a bit of drama. The sexual tension between Teo and Kenyon was hot. There was a bit of hint at something paranormal in here that in my opinion was a bit much. In my opinion, the mystery of Neal and the romance between Kenyon and Teo was enough.

If you love a little mystery and suspense, hot cops, sexy social workers, adorable kids and a sexy romance with a happy ending this is for you.

Pixie’s Review: ♥♥♥♥ 3 ½ – 4 Hearts

Kenyon discovers Neal, a young boy, on the streets. Neal tells the tale that his mom has been taken and they were on the run from his father. Kenyon has to hand the sweet little boy over to Human Services and the caring hands of Teo. Kenyon and Teo are drawn together although they are opposites when it comes to relationships and they somehow make it work. Neal has dreams of his own which include both Teo and Kenyon, now both Kenyon and Teo have decisions to make.

This is a very sweet story that has a bit of danger, a touch of angst, but a lot of hope and joy. Kenyon has an instant connection to Neal when he meets the little boy in a stinking alley where Neal is hiding, waiting for his mom. It isn’t long before the story is told and Neal is taken in by Human Services as the police hunt for his mother. Sadly, she is found murdered and Neal’s father is now hunting for him. Kenyon and Teo are unsure if a relationship between them will work, but decide to give it a go. After a slight misunderstanding they take the plunge, but it isn’t long before they have to make a new decision about their lives.

I enjoyed this story and really liked how it progressed. Kenyon and Teo are two very different men; with Kenyon wanting someone to settle down with, while Teo has been like a butterfly flitting from man to man. The connection between the two men seems strong and recovers well after a slight blip. The sex between them is hot, but their connection goes far beyond the physical. Neal is a very sweet young boy who has a slight physic ability which makes the story much more interesting, although the appearance of Neal’s father is expected it was far different than I had thought it would be.

I loved how Edward Kendrick gave us an ending many years into the future, it was wonderful to see Kenyon and Teo’s relationship and their relationship with Neal during pivotal moments of their lives and to see how they had all grown together into a true family.

Review: Drake Glauco has everything he could ever want a great home, job, and a loving husband. Until one day after arriving home from work, he finds his husband in the arms of another man.

Drake is so furious he storms out angry. He feels a sting in his neck as he turns and is confronted by Boldiens, a green-skinned, amphibious, and frog-like race native to Boldien’s world, and then he falls unconscious. Drake wakes up naked and cold in what appears to be a solid steel room with no way out. When the Boldiens that kidnapped and drugged him enter the room, they tell him he is no longer of use to them anymore and that he has seen them before now.

He wakes up a second time in a much warmer place and realizes he is with the Priaxians, spider-like aliens. What he learns from Vernon is that the Nourishers are dying from a disease they cannot cure. Humans are the next compatible match. To keep their race from dying out and asks Drake to be his nourisher. He agrees after meeting the queen and getting permission to travel to earth to confront his husband.

Along the journey to earth, Vernon and Drake are chased by Boldiens and kidnapped by Aurorans. Drake learns of the reason why he was kidnapped in the first place and of the Aurorans plans to take over the galaxy. So much happens in this amazing book. From finding out that Drake husband Jankin was sent to him to entice him by the Aurorans, a wasp like civilization, in the hopes of reopening the trade to other beings. Along the way, Drake and Vernon fall in love and have passionate sex.

Very fascinating and intriguing story with nonstop action, suspense, and intrigue. I was speechless by the details of the different worlds, planets, and the different beings, as the story unfolded. I have never read a story quite like this one before and was greatly impressed by it.

I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Anyone who is a science fiction fan should read this wonderfully written book.

Review: Kenny Reeves is a cute, sweet, naive young man who just turned 21 years old and decides to go to Silver Bullet, a gay club for paranormals and humans, alone. He has never been to the place before but has wanted to since moving to New Orleans when he was just 18 years old. It ended up being the worst and best decision he’s ever made. The worst is that he was drugged and almost sexually abused. The best is that he met his mate in the man who saved him from the assault.

Michael Moriaty is a sexy, big polar bear shifter that decided to leave Alaska, meet other paranormals, and hopefully find his mate. He is sweet and kind as can be unless those he’s close to are harmed or in danger. Michael works at Silver Bullet as security keeping everyone safe. When Jayson asks him to go outside and see if one of the two men that just left is all right, because he wasn’t looking to good, Michael doesn’t hesitate. He finds the men in a white van. One unable to move or speak is his mate. He immediately stops what is about to happen and calls for help.

This book was well written. With intense, emotional and heartbreaking scenes at what Kenny went through and the love of a mate who helped him heal.

Review: Blair finally heads back to New Orleans after being in Europe at college. The first thing he does is go see Sean and has him claim him. There are a lot of hot intimate scenes all throughout this story. Along with Blair learning that, Holden has been in love with since they were teenagers and he never knew. Maddox and Ranger have a hot night together after graduation but can’t be together because Maddox already knows who his mate is and it’s not Ranger.

This book is filled with a lot of sex and a few pages of drama about Maddox, Ranger, and Holden.

Blurb: Lo… When they dance into your heart and falling can’t be helped …ve

Alexander Benton is used to getting what he wants. With his wealthy parents MIA most times, he is left to rule Julliard and half of Manhattan with impunity. He hides his misery behind meaningless sex and condemning behavior.

Augusto Catalan grew up poor. To make a living, he dances at a local gay performance club and survives on the poverty line. His crappy New York apartment and simple life make him happy—except for the death of his lover, his brother being in a war zone and his life-long dream of getting into Julliard slipping away with each passing day.
When Alex meets Augusto, he knows there is no way this ghetto boy is getting into /his/prestigious school. Then he sees Augusto dance.

Review: Alexander Benton is rude, ostentatious, entitled, domineering and handsome. He has spent his life with a silver spoon up his ass the product of money and an upper class life style. The only thing Alex has missed out on is love. True, unyielding, undying and unconditional love. His parents are never around and the one person that he trusted and gave his heart to, tore it apart. In an effort to remain indifferent, he’s only done the occasional hook-up or his latest friends with benefits, which are more benefits than friends.

Augusto Catalan is polar opposite of Alex. He has worked hard to get where he is and came from practically nothing. The Spanish-American dancer wears his pride on his sleeve and has had the love of his parents and adopted brother, along with his boss and long-term partner’s father for as long as he can remember. After the death of his lover to cancer, Gus never wanted to open his heart or his life to another man. He can’t take a chance of being hurt that deeply ever again. That is until he meets Alex.

Alex and Gus butt heads from the start. They really, truly can’t stand one another. The mutual disdain is insurmountable, and the sexual tension couldn’t be cut with a pair of garden sheers! Gus knows he should walk away from the brash dancer, but he can’t help himself, and one stolen kiss later, the two can’t seem to stop thinking about each other.

Sparks fly and passion ignites when they stop running, and stand still long enough to get their arms wrapped around each other. But can a person really change who they are? Will Alex be able to give up the control he so desperately clings too in order to capture and hold on to Gus’s heart? And if he can, will Gus open himself up to love and be loved again?

Cassatta and Duchene have delivered a well-written and highly emotional love story set in a world surrounded by dance. Alex is an accomplished ballet dancer and Gus is a striving fresh new dancer, just enrolled at Julliard. They really come together and compliment each other, learning from each other’s weaknesses and gaining from each other’s strength.

My only teensy issue was the slight resemblance of instalove at one point in the story, and a little misplaced angst here and there. But overall, this was a fun, fast read that got my blood pumping and left me with a smile on my face.

If you like a passionate love story between a couple of sexy guys that have to learn how to bend and move to please each other (pun intended!) with a Happy ending (!!) then this is the story for you.

Review: Austin is barely making ends meet when his beloved dog is hit by a car. He takes it to the vet not expecting it to be over $1,800 dollars. He will do anything to save him since Rupert is all he has, even if it means selling himself to the sexy vet.

Lynton is a good man at heart and a great vet. He loves his patients and it kills his soul to have to euthanize them when clients can pay. He is also extremely lonely. He knows the minute he sees Austin that he won’t be able to afford the care and his heart goes out. He wants to do it for free but if he does one when will it end. He has to make a living too. But, something about Austin tears at his need and loneliness. When Austin offers himself up for payment, can Lynton stick to his guns and be a good man or will his loneliness make him do something he may regret?

I loved this book. There is a lot of angst and the way it goes back and forth between Austin and Lynton’s feelings is like watching a fast-paced tennis or volleyball match. I sat on the end of my seat to see how this one ended!

Dressed as a fallen angel, Keith attends a Halloween party. Looking drop-dead gorgeous in a glam rocker costume, Tucker approaches Keith to hook up. Review: Short and Sexy!

Keith has been secretly admiring lifeguard Tucker for a while now. In his advice column he tells people to take charge and if they like someone to go for it. He needs to take his own advice. But no, he still shies away from telling Tucker how he feels. A costume party for Halloween is a game changer, and by the end of the night, Keith is in Tucker’s bed. In an attempt to ‘not rush things’ Keith almost looses Tucker before they barely get started.

This was just a fast, fun read. If you were looking for something quick with a decent storyline and some steamy sex, this would be the novella for you! I mean, who doesn’t love two guys that would rather have sex on the kitchen floor for breakfast, in lieu of omelets. Oh, and that was after they used each other’s bodies for ice cream cones the night before!

Yeah, this is a must read for your collection. I’ll keep this one queued on my Kindle to revisit when I need something quick and sexy!

When a mob family begins to frequent the restaurant, a romantic relationship develops between Barry and Vinnie, a guard for the family. Vinnie resists, fearing for Barry’s safety and concerned that Barry will want nothing to do with him if he finds out the details of Vinnie’s role in the family. Review: Barry is a waiter at a posh restaurant. It is a time when the gang wars are prevalent. A gangster comes in with his entourage and Barry is smitten by Vinnie.

Vinnie can’t read and is very big so he feels all he can do in life is be a bodyguard for a notorious gangster. Besides once you’re in there is no way out. Or is there?

This is a great historical romance set in the 1940’s. I loved the old-time gangster feel. I love both Vinnie and Barry. Though Vinnie is a bodyguard and obviously kills or hurts people for a living, Hank did a very good job of making him likeable. I would have liked to have known more about Barry the main character and teller of the story.

If you like historical romances set in the 1940’s, gangsters, bodyguards, waiters and a fun, sexy, romance, this is for you.

Blurb: When Jesse Morales, a recent college grad who aspires to be a mystery writer, volunteers to work on the summit of Mt. Washington for a week, he expects to work hard. What he doesn’t expect is to find a corpse in the fog, lying among the rocks, his head crushed. The dead man turns out to be a young tourist named Stuart Warren, who strayed from his friends while visiting the mountain.

Kyle Dubois, a widowed state police detective, is called to the scene in the middle of the night, along with his partner, Wesley Roberts. Kyle and Jesse are instantly drawn to one another, except Jesse’s fascination with murder mysteries makes it difficult for Kyle to take the young man seriously. But Jesse finds a way to make himself invaluable to the detective by checking into the hotel where the victim’s friends and family are staying and infiltrating their circle. Soon, he is learning things that could very well solve the case—or get him killed.

Review: Jesse Morales is finishing up a week-long volunteering stint on the Summit when he stumbles upon a gruesome site. The good-looking young man he saw coming of the lift with several friends just a few hours ago, is now lying dead at the bottom of a bank of rocks, head smashed in. Jesse is intrigued and very inquisitive when the Detectives show up, but he’s quickly dismissed by the lead Detective as just a ‘kid’.

Kyle Dubois is taken aback at Jesse’s beauty from the start, but the obviously younger man bothers him a little with his questions and curiosity about the case. When Jesse finds a way to insinuate himself into the investigation, Kyle teeters back and forth between his anger at Jesse for putting himself in harm’s way, and his overwhelming attraction to him. As the two grow closer and Kyle opens up to the possibility of a relationship with Jesse, his protective instincts kick in, as well as his libido. It’s a dangerous game Jesse is playing, one that could cost him his life.

I do love a good, cozy murder mystery and that is exactly what Fessenden has offered up here. There is mystery, suspense and intrigue from the start. Literally every one that Stuart knew shows just cause to have killed him. While the Detective and would be mystery writer are trying to solve the case, they are fighting off an obvious mutual attraction. But the sexual tension only adds to the intrigue of the story.

At times you are left to wonder if Kyle is really growing that attached to Jesse, or is it just his cop instincts kicking in and telling him to be so protective. Jesse is smart and fearless, but just a little bit reckless in exacting his means. It was interesting as well to see how romantically Jesse was the aggressor and the expert of sorts, while Kyle was more inexperienced in that area. But as far as overall maturity and common sense, Kyle took the lead, and it made for a well-defined balance between them.

There were a couple of times that words used were more likening to a YA novel, when subject matter and content were clearly adult. And I wanted just a little bit more at the end, perhaps it’s because the story was so engaging the ending snuck up on me. But overall, this was a perfectly suspenseful novel with lots of passion and a little bit of murder to keep me entertained. If you like, murder mysteries, suspense novels or just overall well thought out stories then I think you’ll love this one.

He just wasn’t sure the sexy little man was ready for his dominant brand of mating. Being in control was second nature to him and he wasn’t about to change that for Rue, even if the man was his forever mate.

Rue Tasquer had just about given up hope that he would find the perfect man to dominate him until he found a set of deep, piercing green eyes staring at him from across a bar. Review: This is part of a series and they need to be read in order.

Each story right now seem to be based on the four brothers of the pride. They are tiger shifters, all four are alphas and are stronger with their mates. When you start reading this series you will learn about each character and the way they live their lives. It is a world that I can’t help but wish I was living in.

Zus and his brothers are just hanging out at the bar, when four very sexy men come walking in. He has found his forever mate. Now all he had to do is convince Rue.

Rue is a true submissive and has always dreamed of a love that included a master. The only problem was Zus didn’t want to be called master. It starts off with him afraid that he would never have the relationship that he truly wanted but it didn’t take Zus long to convince him. Zus loved the fact that Rue was in to the same thing he was. When trouble comes, it is Rue that saves Zus from injury and death. It would seem Rue is a danger among others, cause boy can he wield those knives of his.

The mates turn out to be extremely feisty, quirky and have an attitude that will keep the tigers on their toes. They are just as protective as their alphas. I loved this book, just as much as the series. It has such wonderful character that will have you falling in love. I love the way they are so protective and loving, the fact that the men are sexy, and the way Rue and his friends keep them guessing all the time.
This story will give you sexy men, feisty mates, quirky attitudes, excitement, adventure and danger. They will do everything in their power to keep their pride happy, content and safe.

I would recommend reading this story. It will give you everything you could want and everything you could need. It caught my attention from the first word in the book and kept it all the way to the end. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book. Stormy is one of my top favorite authors and she will always give you what you need.
