Alec Rowland is a high-flying lawyer in a London firm whose career is his life. He doesn’t have time for relationships and his sexuality is a closely guarded secret. After picking up a cute guy on a Friday night, Alec’s world is rocked to its foundations when his one night stand shows up in the office on Monday morning—as the new temp on his team.

He’s a corporate lawyer deep inside a huge New York firm, where he works overtime, sacrifices any chance at a personal life, and has been selling his soul for years. With a secretary as his only friend, he trudges on, until his whole world is blown apart by a manila envelope of photos—evidence that one of the firm’s partners is the dirtiest lawyer in one hell of a filthy business.

In search of the truth, Jacob travels to a small northern Wisconsin fishing resort. There he meets Ben Anderson, a brutally lonely man, who knocks him off his feet. Ben prompts Jacob to reevaluate his life. He’s a dozen years older than Jacob, still recovering from the death of his long time love, and doesn’t want to leave anyone a widower. But a jaded New Yorker on a soul-searching mission might be just the man to convince the grieving Ben that it’s never too late to begin again.

Review: This was a nice surprise. It is two stories in one book. That way you don’t have to worry about waiting for the next part. It is not one that I would have picked up normally. The cover is just a tad creepy however I was glad to have given it a chance. It was different to say the least.

Book one is where Saul is sent to collect the souls for hell. He is a demon after all and he loves his job. That is until he finds his next target. He starts to feel something for Thomas and is about to break the rules. Thomas will do anything to spend his time with Soul even sell his soul to him.

Book two is when the consequences happen after Soul not only doesn’t take the deal but tears up the contract on Thomas’s soul. Hell is about to rain down on them and they make a run for it. It isn’t till Heaven gets involved that things are looking up for these two.

Now over all this is one hell of a book. There is some hot sexy time, some evil demon time, lots of action, a bit of suspense and damn I had fun with it. I was actually quite surprised that I would but I can’t wait to see what other stories these authors have coming out. They make quite a pair.

There’s something about a man in a suit that’s sexy as hell. But a man wearing a suit in one of Jay Northcote’s books is simply hot as fuck! Two men wearing suits?????? I think I just died and went to heaven!

I was in the mood lately for a love story without much angst, but at the same time I didn’t want any cheesiness either. The Law of Attraction was exactly the right book for me to read. It has nicely written characters, men who are strong-willed and motivated, hot as sin, and there a ton of sexual tension (to the point where I was expecting the windows in that building to explode from the intensity of it all).

The relationship between Alec and Ed changes and progresses from lovers, to friends, to lovers again, and there’s even that forbidden, naughty and totally inappropriate office sex.

Alex is a senior lawyer at his law firm, and his desire to become partner makes work his one and only priority. He is closeted at work and in his personal life, and his father’s disapproval stops him from being a proud, out gay man.

Alec doesn’t do relationships for obvious reasons, and his only sexual experiences are one night stands with men whose names he doesn’t remember…until Alec’s latest one night stand show up at the law office on Monday morning, and turns out to be the newest temp, who’s going to be working on Alec’s team. Fate’s a bitch sometimes!

The only things similar between Ed and Alec are their career choices, the strong personalities and the desire to succeed. Alec comes from money, while Ed grew up modestly; Alec’s family is cold and distant, while Ed’s is loving and supportive. Alec is closeted, while Ed is out and proud who he is. Ed wants a relationship, and he wants a relationship with Alec, but he refuses to be his dirty little secret. No matter how much he likes Alec.

I absolutely loved the fact that Ed didn’t settle for less than he deserved, even if that meant being unhappy without Alec in his life. Being true to himself and acknowledging the fact that he deserves someone who’s proud to be with him, made him a very strong character.

Alec’s frustration and anger makes him a less than desirable boss. He pushes Ed and gives him more work than one person can manage. No matter how competent. Things are tense between them and something’s gotta give. If there’s a perfect solution to the sexual and emotional tension between those two, the answer is Edinburgh.

Edinburgh gives Alec and Ed the opportunity to be free and experience what it means to be out with someone without recrimination and without the fear of being discovered. Realizing what he’s missing out on makes Alec brave. Giving him the strength needed to stand up to his father and to be truthful about who he is.

There isn’t much angst in this book, but it still deals with personal struggles. And that was good enough for me. Even though I usually prefer somewhat angstier books. There’s a beautiful HEA that will have you smiling with happiness.

So go ahead and read this, people! You’ll love it!

Blurb: The world has only recently emerged from a three hundred-year war which saw half of the world’s population wiped out and the rise of five superpowers. Despite the hundreds of millions who died, the Borders War was nearly bloodless because of the sonicrifle—weaponized sound waves, tuned to their highest frequency and harnessed to kill.

Merq Grayson has known only war. He is a skilled Peacemaker, soldier and sniper, and it is his destiny to right the wrong created by his grandfather six generations back—the man who invented the sonicbullet.

Armise Darcan is his enemy. A sniper and Dark Ops officer who fought for the People’s Republic of Singapore in the Borders War, Armise may be the only person on the planet strong enough to keep Merq from completing his mission.

Their loyalties are to conflicting countries and diverging agendas, and despite the very real threat to their lives if they’re discovered, Merq and Armise keep finding their way into each other’s beds. It is a drive which Merq is sure will kill him one day.

But how much time either of them has is questionable. As Opposition is pitted against Revolution, the Borders War reignites, and Merq and Armise have to decide where, and with whom, their real loyalties lie.

A relationship is the least of Merq’s and Armise’s concerns…
With one bullet Merq Grayson set the wealthiest citizens of the world on a collision course with the poorest—those fighting for their freedom. As the Borders War reignites, the Revolution faces heavy losses. They scramble to maintain their advantage, to strike at the Opposition and crumble their power structure before they are able to rally.

But Merq is in the midst of an internal battle that shakes him to the core. For the first time in his life Merq will have to reconcile the inherent tragedy of war and decide just how much vengeance can be justified by spilt blood. How much can he trust the men and women around him? The president, Neveed, his former soldiers, his parents…and Armise.

Merq and Armise find themselves off grid and on the hunt for Committee members. Merq is just as unsettled with Armise at his side as he was with Armise as an enemy, but they will have to learn how to fight together—or they just might die together.

Review: This is the second book in the Borders War series.

It picks up where the first ended. Merq, a soldier, is adjusting to having no mission to be on while Armise is finally with Merq like he wanted to be for a long time now.

These two burn up the pages with their passion. The loyalties are strong in this book as was in the first. Merq has feelings for Armise but doesn’t really know quite how to show them. I really liked that both men stuck to their principles and were cautious regarding others they were not familiar with. As should be the case in a time of war.

Great story line and a smooth read this book immerses the reader in fantastic continuation of a series that leaves you on the edge of your seat awaiting the outcome. It was intense at times.

I love this series and am looking forward to reading more. But I would like to read Armise’ POV from time to time instead of just Merq’s. It would give a better understanding of Armise.

Review: Each book in the Highland Dragons collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Kaiser is a beautiful black dragon who is called a herald. He does everything he can to learn about others for his leader. It might have gotten him into a bit of trouble, but it leads him to Seumas. Seumas had been ill for a long time, but now he doesn’t have the strength to be what he was born to be.

However it would seem he has a better place to be. He makes maps for his leader, but now he must trust Kaiser. Then the shock of all it turns out to be that Kaiser is a dragon shifter and he is his asada. Things are going to be looking up for Seumas.

It was the perfect story for me and I loved it. I can’t wait to read the next story.

Review: Each book in the Pacific Cove collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Matt goes camping with two of his friends, one of which is a total ass. He is shocked to find two gorgeous twins there and he wants to know more about them. However he is more shocked when someone is trying to kill them.

Joe and Sam are bear shifters and twins, so they knew they would share a mate. It would seem that if a single birth is they are human, but twins are always bears. They are shocked that their mate knows about shifters, and even more that he learned about them from romance stories. Boy did they have to start reading them. Now all they have to do is to keep him safe and to tell him about how he can get pregnant. That might have been more shocking to Matt then the actual shifting into bears.

This was amazing and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next story. I loved how tender they both are with him and how kinky they really are. I just wished there had been some brother loving in the book. Also I want the dads to have another mate, they deserve to be happy also.

I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series that you can’t put down and have to read more than once. It is the perfect story for me and gave me all that I needed. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. I had a blast reading it and I can’t wait to read the next story.

When Stormy puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Review: This is the first book in The Borders War series.

This book is a dangerous game of cat and mouse between two men who opposite sides. They continuously meet off and on throughout the book usually in intense situations.

I loved the interactions between Armise and Merq as it showed them how they actually were instead of all lovey dovey. They both have the same goal, find the info chip. In a time where all is not as it seems and plans are made in secret to once again take back power from a group who only think of themselves and rely on weapons that were never meant to be used in that capacity.

There are two men who constantly but heads and end up having hot and rough sex only to leave until the next time. This story spans many years between the two. Has a few twists that I did not see coming. It’s an excellent spy novel to say the least.

Fantastic read with A lot of suspense, action and mystery.

Highly recommended.

Shorty’s Review: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts

This is the first book in the Bloodlines series and boy does it pack quite a punch. The last Dire Wolf, Supreme Alpha Eirik is at odds with himself. He wants to be able to show his love for his lover kings guard Gunnar. But due to outdated ideas, that is nearly impossible so they hide their feelings for one another while around others.

I loved all the twists in this story. Leif was a unique individual that I wish more time had been spent on further details of what exactly happened at the lab. What about the others that are still there? Are they to be rescued? Maybe the answers will be in other books in the series.

It was truly an amazing edge of your seat story with action, suspense, mystery, betrayal and evil plots. I really felt bad for all three men for the circumstances they found themselves in. I so can’t wait to see what else happens in this fascinating series.

Highly recommended.

Tams’ Review: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
Eirik is the last of his kind, saved when all the other Dire wolves were annihilated by a rival clan. He is the supreme alpha over all the races of wolves, so his word should be law, right? Not exactly. For years, Eirik has had to hide the fact that he is in love with his guard Gunnar.

Eirik is the last Dire wolf and the alpha, Gunnar is beneath him and therefore, the council will not recognize them as mates. Eirik is determined to be open about his and Gunnar’s relationship, no longer hiding it behind closed doors. But before he can voice that claim the clan that almost killed off Eirik’s kind show up and request to be allowed to return to the council, they come baring a gift.

Lief has no memory of his life up until Yao supposedly found him on the streets. It’s a shock to everyone when Lief stands before Eirik, the reaction he and Eirik have to each other. Not only is Lief a Dire wolf, he is Eirik’s blood mate. Gunnar is less than pleased at this recent development.

On the cusp of finally being able to love Eirik out in the open, their plans change when Lief appears. No one trusts the newcomer with their precious King and they try to keep Eirik out of arms reach, but Eirik is determined to figure out the truth about Lief, not to mention the blood mate bond is pulling them to each other.

As Eirik and Gunnar work to figure out the truth about Lief, where he comes from, why he suddenly appears after so many years. Lief finds himself having disturbing dreams. The truth of the matter is far more disturbing than just Lief’s dreams.

Short, Sexy and Steamy!!!! My three favorite colors. This is my first read by this author, but it will not be my last. I love the style of writing, the character development and atmosphere of the story. The rival clan that has been exiled, resorting to any means necessary to not only gain a seat on the council again, but to overthrow the king and take the throne.

The love triangle aspect was handled well without a lot of dragging out and angst overshadowing that aspect of the story. Eirik truly loves Gunnar, but his body cannot deny the pull to his blood mate. Gunnar understands the pull, he knows how rare and important a blood mate connection is, but it doesn’t stop his heart from breaking at the implications.

And poor Lief, dropped on his head basically, no idea why he is there or where he came from. There was just enough angst and tension before Eirik and Gunnar come to the conclusion that Eirik doesn’t have to make a choice, he can have both.

If you are a fan of Ménage storylines, shifter tales, fast paced reads with substance and a whole lot of MM that moves to MMM action going on… definitely a must read.

When kind-hearted Amory is offered to the prince in exchange for more time for Amory’s father to complete a commission, both Philip and Amory are horrified. But Philip agrees to keep Amory at the palace, where they gradually become friends, then lovers.

For the first time in his life, Philip is free to share not only his heart, but the magical shape-shifting ability that runs in the royal bloodline.

Neither Amory nor Philip imagined falling in love, and they certainly don’t expect the lengths those who oppose their relationship will go to keep them apart—maybe even resorting to murder.

Review: This is the first book in A Tale of Tournai series.

Phillip, a crowned prince, meets Amory and falls for him. Amid everyone against the two and trying to keep them apart, they are blindsided by the lengths some go to.

I liked the story as it was light and cute. Phillip and Amory seemed to develop a little fast though. I also didn’t understand the fast forward throughout as it was hard to follow at times. Would have been so much better had the author not fast forwarded so much.

The secondary characters were cute but I could never understand why they were mention unless they are to be in another book. I loved all the details of the terrain and countryside. Made me feel like I was there witnessing what was happening.

All in all it was an o.k. read.

Review: Each book in the Whitedell Pride collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Wes had been kicked out of his home at the age of sixteen, so he did what he had to to survive. He was ashamed of having to sell his body but he needed rent and food. Three years later and he wished he knew how to end it. He just wanted to be loved. For the first time he felt like he was truly wanted when he met a sexy man at the club.

After leaving him, he is attacked at the club and called the only one person who he thought would help him. He did not know it would lead him back to the one man who acted like he cared. To his shock he finds himself with a mate.

Taylor always wanted a mate so while at the club he decides to get wasted. He ends up meeting his mate, sexing him up and then falling asleep. He didn’t even get the guys full name and has no idea how to find him. Then he finds out Wes has been hurt and is now at the pride compound. He just has to get the courage up to tell him about shifters and mates. It looks to me like these two are going to be hot.

I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Review: I came across Amber Kell awhile back and have always been captivated with the worlds she creates. They are not only well written but there is so much depth to them that you will never lose interest. Even though it is a fully developed novel I did not want it to end.

Quentin is a magical wizard who wants to get his degree. He is pretty damn good at his spells, but his one wish is to do a healing spell for his mother. She is in the final stages of cancer and he can’t let her die. He had never known his father, but his love for his mother was strong. He just needs to figure out how to get the money for her bills.

So he decides to go to work as a bounty hunter. His first job is to catch and capture a vampire leader. Somehow after capturing the man, he finds himself bonded to the second. On top of all that his best friend, Glenn is not only murdered but turned into a vampire. At the feet of Glenn are four bone wolves. Talk about a freaky day.

Now someone is out to get him and his vampire mate. Jak is a bit quirky if I say so, but his orders are just bouncing around because Quentin is a force to be seen. Now he has an evil vampire, a crazy vampire friend, psychotic Faes and more magic going on. Talk about a heated up and weird day for him.

I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of story that you can’t put down and have to read more than once.

I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Review: I came across Penelope Peters a few months ago and was captivated by the way she writes. This particular story was not only fascinating but a bit strange. The world created for this story was not only interesting but also very unique.

I have read many paranormal romances and this one just pops out at you. I have to tell you that usually stories remotely are familiar with each other, but this one was very different then the any that I have read. I wasn’t sure if I would actually get into it, but I have to tell you that this story rocked.

The characters are well written with a lot of details to them that you will be falling in love with them. There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men. This story has a lot of different action pact with the perfect amount of feelings going around.

When you start reading a story you can always tell which author puts their whole heart into what they are writing. This is one of those stories for me. I love the way this author can put together a book that not only fascinates you but draws you in.

Ethan’s world is quite different from many you read about. Omega and Alpha children are kept home till they have bonded. Which for me was the only down side to this story however it was pretty good. He is an Omega who loved to play the piano. That was all he ever wanted to do.

He never wanted to bond with another, but when Alan wouldn’t leave him alone he knew his parents’ idea was perfect. None of them had met Antonio but the Alpha would be the best.

Antonio had not wanted a weak Omega, he wanted an Omega who was strong and could tell him what he wanted. He had taken one look at Ethan and had made the choice. However when their fathers argued about the contract, they had decided that neither one of their sons would bond.

Antonio and Ethan knew they were in trouble. Antonio would do everything in his power to get his Omega. The problem was Alan didn’t want to let Ethan go.

I had a blast reading The Country Omega and I have to say, that this would be an amazing series.  I want to read more.

Review: I have read a few stories by this author and have always fantasies about the worlds she had created. I haven’t been one for BDSM stories, but I do love a good paranormal romance. I can honestly say that I am glad to have read this amazing story. It has a bit of a serious tone to it but there is humor throughout the story which for me is a plus.

Now I have to say that it didn’t flow right off the pages for me, but it came pretty close. I wished that there was some danger added in because I want to see the alpha’s reaction to that. Also I have to say that I had no clue what a coquí is, so it kept going on in my mind. However to find out it means cute little green frog was a kick.

Diablo is a dominate vampire who wants his mate. He is also hoping that his little man will be his permanent submissive. So when he called a Kristoph to see if he wanted the vet job, he was surprised to find out the man is his mate.

Kristoph’s family believed in mating just to procreate, but since he was gay it didn’t’ really count with him. I can honestly tell you that his family needs a swift kick in the ass. He is surprised that his new boss is also his fated mate. Things are looking up for him all the way around.

One can’t really go into details about the story itself without giving it a way but I have to say that this was a fascinating read and I had a lot of fun with it.

I look forward to reading book two.

Pain Slut

(The Subs Club 02)
by

J.A. Rock

Honestly, I’m ready to take a step back from the Subs Club. Making the kink world a safer place for subs is the sort of bandwagon I’d have boarded as an idealist in my early twenties, but now I’m a pragmatist in my late twenties. I prefer to focus on adopting and raising a child.

But unexpected factors inevitably derail my plans. Like Drix Seger—attractive and the first genuine sadist I’ve encountered. If I were not in the process of renouncing my masochistic ways and becoming the normal, responsible potential father the adoption agency wants to see, Drix and I might do well together. But he has a foolish name and belongs to a cult of vampyres, and I am quitting kink. So why does Drix’s infatuation with blood and biting make me so hot I can’t think straight? And why, when he looks at me, does he seem to see something beyond a basket case with a stick up my ass?

Can I start a new phase in my life without leaving part of myself behind? Please send help.

The Shining Ones

(The Eternal Dungeon
This is a side story to the series.)
by

Dusk Peterson

“He was skilled by now at making innocuous remarks in the presence of the Shining Ones. Nobody had even guessed that he knew what they were.”

The Eternal Dungeon is filled with prisoners who shine like the sun.

No one knows this except Barrett Boyd, a guard notorious for having survived a disciplinary punishment that should have killed him. He is also notorious for his rebellion against the authorities of the royal prison. At a pivotal time in the Eternal Dungeon’s history, when abusive practices of the past may finally be abolished, Barrett finds himself drawn to the mystery of a younger guard, Clifford Crofford, who claims that he and Barrett are love-mates.

Barrett has no memory of this. He has no memory of anything before his punishment. What does the past matter, compared to Barrett’s determination to protect the prisoners? But Barrett cannot ignore his bond with Clifford, and the closer that Barrett comes to Clifford, the more the danger arises that Clifford will question Barrett’s sanity. . . .

This novelette (miniature novel) of disability and love can be read on its own or as a side story in The Eternal Dungeon, an award-winning speculative fiction series set in a nineteenth-century prison where the psychologists wield whips.

The Eternal Dungeon series is part of Turn-of-the-Century Toughs, a cycle of alternate history series (Dark Light, Waterman, Life Prison, Commando, Michael’s House, and The Eternal Dungeon) about disreputable men on the margins of society, and the men and women who care for them. Set between the 1880s and the 1910s, the novels and stories take place in an alternative version of America that was settled by inhabitants of the Old World in ancient times. One of the series in the cycle, Waterman, combines elements of the 1910s with retrofuturistic imagery from the 1960s.
