Review: Clay and Daniel met in the military and also fell in love. Daniel had a wonderful home life in a great town that he bragged about. Where as Clay had been abandoned by his mother. He had lost so much in such a short time. When Clay wanted more, Daniel said no. Now twenty-five years later, Clay is going to surprise him big time. He is going to go see him and hope for the future.
It is a very cute little story. It is a nice surprise and I enjoyed it. For such a short story it had a lot of depth to it. I really like Clay quite a bit, Daniel not so much. I also liked the Santa Claus angle. It didn’t make my heart beat fast but it was a good story.

Remember Ethan? That Aztec god of the winds who busted me shooting a closeted human with a gay lust arrow? Yeah, I haven’t been able to forget him either. Even though I have a rule against getting it on with other supernaturals—especially ones working for the Straight Division—my magic is drawn to Ethan and all his tattoos and piercings in a way I cannot control.
But after that night of mind-numbing sex, now I gotta face my evil ex-boyfriend and a suspension by the IDAC for “misplacing” arrows. They took my quiver, and I have to figure out how to get my arrow privileges back before they’re taken forever.

Review:I have read one or two books by this author and she definitely has a flare at telling a story. I thought that the cover was refreshing and the title cute. Then I read the blurb and was just a bit apprehensive, because what I wanted was a true love story. This has a good way going, but the ending was a bit of a disappointment for me. It doesn’t leave you hanging, but in a way it tells me that there might just be a second book coming out. Which for me is a downside, don’t mind series, but not when it is about the same couple. Guess I will see what Deanna does later.
Paul is a forty-eight year old gay man who wants someone for himself. The thing with him is he doesn’t want marriage but does want the man. He is going to open another gallery but decides since he is going to do so, he might see if there is someone to hook up with. So he uses the one that he had used for his best friend. He was surprised to find Josef and was very pleased.
Josef runs a hot exotic bar for gay men in the Caribbean. Lots of hot sex and some kinky times, but he has a secret on the side. When he meets Paul it is instant lust. Things heat up but the past has a way of showing up and kicking you in the ass.
There were a few issues I had with the story that doesn’t sit well for me. I don’t like drugs and when they are mentioned in a story I usually avoid the rest of the book. It didn’t really take away from the story, but I am afraid my attention wavered quite a bit.
However that is just me, the story itself was pretty damn good. It shows sexy men that have a softer side to them and for me that is a plus.
It was a fun read and I would definitely like to see what other stories this author has out. I would recommend reading this cute little story.

Review: I love a Regency Era romance. I don’t normally comment on book covers, but just look at this one: doesn’t it scream regency romance? Or damsel in distress? Or, more specifically, it reminds me of the beginning sequence to the TV show Blackadder the Third, which I happen to love. It also appears a bit corny but you know what they say, “don’t judge a book by its cover”. So finished with that and onto the actual story.
Our first introduction to a character is to Matthew, her to his father’s barony and hiss wedding to Maggie Kirkwood has long since been arranged by the families. Not at all uncommon scenario in regency romances, really. However, we also meet him on the verge of death, on a ship heading to Key West.
Then there is Reif. (I keep thinking Leif). He is a pirate type of character, though not really a pirate, well maybe a bit, he does salvage ship wrecks around Key West, after all. He seems to put on a bit of a front that makes him seem like a happy-go-lucky sort of bloke, except he isn’t. He has “the sight”, which to me seems like it would be a pain in the butt, and for Reif it makes him a type of tortured soul. At first his abilities don’t seem important, but hang in there, things get real interesting.
Both Matthew and Reif are wonderful characters. But I have to admit that I had a particular soft spot for Reif. However, being a gay regency romance means that we get to explore the forbidden element of “sodomy” and how it is possible for two men even attempt to make a life together. This is where Reif’s brother, Cole, makes his impact and in the end I absolutely loved his character.
The sexual tension between Matthew and Reif is thick. The sex is hot and explosive, too. This book certainly ticks all the boxes in my mind.
Although this is a novel, it is also a rather relaxing read as well and easy to get through. The plot is both fun and satisfying to the end. At the start I had been quickly engrossed and the pages just flew by. Anyone with a penchant for action filled historical romances will be in no way disappointed to read this.

Review: There seems to be more than just a wager going on, well at least on Ethan’s side. Lio is a Cupid for the Gay Division however, he seems to use his gifts for more than he should and Ethan is there to put a stop to it. I would say the stopping just got hotter. The sex between these two can burn a building down from the heat alone. It has just the right amount of humor to it and I actually laughed my ass off. However, it did leave me hanging and that I did not like. I want to hear more about these two. Both sexy and hot with just amount of humor makes great men.
I loved this story and can see myself reading it every holiday.

Review: It’s pretty cheeky that a story based on an arranged one-night stand becomes anything but. This looks to be a very fun and well-written series. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the other two! I really like the character of Jason who doesn’t quite fit into any of the persona’s he floats around in: geeks, the jocks, the computer nerds, or the stereotypical gay man. He seems all right as an adult, finding his own path in life and decides to take a risk to find romantic adventure as he says, “cut through all the bullshit and games”, and arranges an Encounter with the mysterious Madame Eve through her 1 Night Stand dating service. Why not? It worked for his friend.
His trip to Vegas to attend a gaming conference not only loads him with jitters of his planned “encounter” but he knows he may very well meet up with his high school crush, turned professional baseball pitcher, Blake Huntington. Huntington is in town for the conference to sign autographs and wow fans of the new video game he’s featured in. Jason doesn’t even know if Blake will remember him. But what happens when his meet-up with Blake turns into a great catch-up and attraction smolders between them both? I know I wanted him to cancel the date and jump Blake’s bones!
It’s a fun twist how the author plays these two characters and creates a very nervous, yet steamy encounter for them both! The writing is clear and the plot advances smoothly. The characters are colorful, even the supporting ones. The texting conversations between Jason, his sister and friends adds an interesting plot tool to the story. Though I’m not crazy about hash tags. But I am crazy about this book! Get it, read it, and read the rest of the series. You won’t’ regret it! This 1 Nightstand is definitely The Best Ever!

Review: Fantastic and brilliant, I absolutely adored every single line in this book. It was a positive thrill reading this book.

I think the blurb and the above quote say more than enough about the book. What it doesn’t say is how enthralling the book really is. The characters are both very appealing; both their personalities are overwhelmingly gorgeous. You won’t help loving Snake, even if he seems (and probably is) a shady guy, and you won’t help but adore Ryder, even if you dislike his initial slutty side.
And that’s the beauty if this book. It’s real and it doesn’t shy from flaws and reality. There are no polished perfect characters here, there is no dreamy bubble of a perfect world where everything ends in a happily ever after. This is a book that has all the ugliness there is out there, a big range of feelings and emotions, and if the characters want a HEA in their life, they have work hard and risk everything for a chance at it.
What with all the above and the fact this book is set at the 70’s, I was sold immediately. The penmanship this author has is delightful. I was really surprised though by the fact that the whole story happens in just two days. I would have never thought that I’d love a book that has its characters falling in love so soon and has them going through a lifetimes events in merely two days. Yet this is the real beauty, the brilliance of this author’s writing skill. I couldn’t believe it really, even as I was reading, how effortlessly she made it happen, how very logical a conclusion it was, how beautiful the blend of the characters’ cravings, the growth they make, and ultimately how easy their intimacy seemed. The scenes between the two were absolutely hot, from the hook up to their lovemaking, it was scorching hot and sexy, and with an intensity that burned you along with them.
I could go on and on talking about this book, but bottom end you simply need to read it to appreciate. This is certainly a book not to be missed and I truly believe that no matter the genre you favorite, you won’t help but love this one. It certainly my most favorite list.

Review: My, oh my! What a tale this one was. I feel like I went back in time when I used to read Red Riding Hood, Snow White, and The Grim Brothers’ fairytales. And as you probably have seen from the blurb the speech of the text is written in such a manner that makes you fall right in that trap, using the mannerisms of the 18 century, and traveling in haze through time in that very place when the Tale of the Headless Horseman first took the breath of life. God, I’m affected by it myself.
So, what do you make of the Legend of the Sleeping Hollow? How do you think all started? Did you ever think to yourself that there could possibly be lovers involved? That their wicked and tricky minds could have worked together to perhaps take advantage from the folk’s tales.
But things were not so easy. It was a strong rivalry before it turned to passion and unadulterated love. They were enemies before they became the ultimate lovers, such the world had never seen before.
Meet Ichabod Crane, Schoolmaster and quite the gentleman. Known for his stern ways, his impeccable control, and his vivid imagination. Currently courting Miss Katrina Van Tassel not because she’s beautiful or he in love, but due to her charming wealth that will accompany her. Ambition is an awful treat, but one Ichabod cannot deny.
Enter Ichabod’s rival, Brom Bones. Not only is he courting dear Katrina, but also he is insistently tormenting and teasing Ichabod. The awful man is bound to humiliate and utterly break Ichabod in every way. Unfortunately, for Ichabod, he’s succeeding.
After a gathering that had Ichabod hopes high for winning Miss Katrina when to Hell and beyond when said darling miss completely dismissed him and his attentions, Ichabod has been left to walk through the rumored favorite paths of the Headless Horseman. His imagination ran wild fueling his fear, a fear so strong that made his heart nearly jump out of his chest when the ghost came chasing him and captured him. But the ghost did not behead him, no; this particular ghost’s intentions were far more sinister.
And thus begins a wonderful erotic tale, filled to the brim with hot scenes, kinky and somewhat painful, although always they ended in rapturous pleasure. This is how this tale will blow your mind; right after it has lured you with all that ghostly things. And before you know it, you’ll be lost in the haze, you’ll feel as if you’re living in the book, the mists and the chills will run through you without a doubt, just as if the sensual scenes will make you hot.
I loved this book, can you tell? I loved it from start to finish. If only Ichabod wasn’t such a shallow prick at the beginning, he made me want to slap him, and when Katrina dumped him cold, I admit it, I was so damned satisfied the book instantly got real high in my praise. But it had to be like that, and it gave such an authenticity to all characters. They all felt like the real deal, hence why I loved this so much.
For me this was an excellent re-told tale, one I strongly recommend to all fans of the genre. I immensely enjoyed a very, very remarkable read.

Review: Travis is a twinkwho is looking for a bear to make him feel safe and protected; John is a bear looking for someone similar to himself to get back in the dating scene.
John can’t believe that he was set up with someone who didn’t meet his requirements, it didn’t matter that Travis is hot, young and beautiful, why would someone like that want John. Travis wonders what the hell was wrong with him when John walks away from their arranged date, so he decides to find out.
The sparks fly between these two sexy men and the sex … wow smokin’ hot. They find they have quite a bit in common and their feelings for each other develop very quickly. I am quite fond of both characters and I wonder if maybe there could be another story for these men in the future? (hint…hint).
So all in all, it’s short, it’s hot and enjoyable.
