Mall Santas aren’t supposed to be hot.

Hunter Adams is hopelessly adrift after college. He’s still a virgin, can’t find a real job, and has no clue what to do with his life. In desperation, he returns to his humiliating old job as an elf at the Santa’s Village in his hometown’s dying mall. The Santa on the job is an unexpectedly sexy lumberjack, twice Hunter’s size and age. He makes Hunter feel very naughty—too bad he’s grumpy and intimidating.

Years after the tragic death of his partner, Nick Spini has his beagle and long, hard days on his Christmas tree farm. That’s plenty. But he can’t refuse a loyal friend’s plea for help and finds himself filling in as Santa at the local mall. Despite Nick’s attempt to stay aloof, the beautiful, anxious young man playing elf brings out his long-dormant daddy instincts.

When a surprise blizzard traps them alone in Nick’s isolated forest home, their attraction burns even brighter. Will they surrender to the sizzling connection between them and find the release and comfort they crave?

Santa Daddy is a holiday gay romance from Keira Andrews featuring an age gap, steamy m/m first times, daddy role-playing and light spanking, Christmas romance feels, and of course a happy ending.

A desperate father. A lonely ranger. Unexpected love that can’t be denied.

Jason Kellerman’s life revolves around his eight-year-old daughter. Teenage curiosity with his best friend led to Maggie’s birth, her mother tragically dying soon after. Insistent on raising his daughter himself, he was disowned by his wealthy family and has worked tirelessly to support Maggie—even bringing her west on a dream vacation. Only twenty-five, Jason hasn’t had time to even think about romance. So the last thing he expects is to question his sexuality after meeting an undeniably attractive park ranger.

Ben Hettler’s stuck. He loves working in the wild under Montana’s big sky, but at forty-one, his love life is non-existent, his ex-boyfriend just married and adopted, and Ben’s own dream of fatherhood feels impossibly out of reach. He’s attracted to Jason, but what’s the point? Besides the age difference and skittish Jason’s lack of experience, they live thousands of miles apart. Ben wants more than a meaningless fling.

Then a hunted criminal takes Maggie hostage, throwing Jason and Ben together in a desperate and dangerous search through endless miles of mountain forest. If they rescue Maggie against all odds, can they build a new family together and find a place to call home?

Road to the Sun is a May-December gay romance from Keira Andrews featuring adventure, angst, coming out, sexual discovery, and of course a happy ending.

Review: This is the sequel to Kiera Andrew’s book Cold War. If you haven’t read it yet go back and read it now. This story essentially boils down to tying up the loose ends of the first book. For anyone who read and enjoyed/loved Cold War, this is a fantastically charming visit with two characters that I fell in love with the first time around.

This is about Misha and Dev – Russian and US figure skaters who were numbers one and two in the world with their respective partners. Since the first book both guys have retired from competitive sports and contrive to be together as often as possible. Both are reticent to tell the world about their love. Particularly Misha, where the Russia of the story has the same (or similar) anti-gay laws as we see in the news.

This is a quick and charming read. It is good to get back in the head of these guys, we saw the fairytale part of their romance, and now we get a dose of the reality of their romance. Admittedly, this is not the densest story in terms of storyline, indeed, it is fairly simplistic. However, I was very comfortable with the characters – both major and minor and was not enjoyed every moment visiting this world again.

Blurb: David and Isaac have found happiness in each other’s arms. In faraway San Francisco, Isaac’s brother Aaron helps them explore confusing “English” life and move beyond the looming shadow of their Amish roots. For the first time, David and Isaac can be openly gay, yet they struggle to reconcile their sexuality with their faith. At least they don’t have to hide their relationship, which should make everything easier. Right?

But while Isaac thrives at school and makes new friends, David wrestles to come to terms with the reality of the outside world. Haunted by guilt at leaving his mother and sisters behind in Zebulon, he’s overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the city as he works to get his carpentry business off the ground.

While David and Isaac finally sleep side by side each night, fear and insecurity could drive them miles apart.

This is the second chapter in a trilogy of forbidden Amish love. This book features explicit sex and is not an inspirational/Christian novel.

Review: This is book 2 of the Gay Amish Romance series and if you haven’t read book 1, go back now and you will be greatly rewarded as you the saga so far between David and Isaac. Like my review for the first book, I’m going to keep this review as brief as possible so as not to give too much away. The wonder, explosive and sweet chemistry between David and Isaac is still there as we get a dose of reality for these two guys! If anything, I loved this one more than the first, too!

Like the first book, you may be tricked into thinking it is full of Amish and religious angst – it is far from that! Thankfully, so because I really can only handle a little bit of angst before I lose interest.

Both David and Isaac have left their strict Amish community to live with Isaac’s older brother (who was excommunicated and thoroughly atheist) and his wife in San Francisco. It’s not your typical fish out of water tale, so to speak. Rather we get two very different reactions to what boils down to living in a new world and experiencing an almost constant culture shock. Isaac seems to be thriving, David not so much.

David was very good at hiding his problems. Or perhaps the people around him didn’t take enough notice of him. Or maybe it was David who ignored everyone.

Regardless, the way in which these character’s coping mechanisms were portrayed was fantastic. I felt that this book had a stronger supporting cast of characters than the first book, all of them with their own little interesting point of view on things. The range of emotions in this book is both tiring and intense, which of course makes this an enjoyable read.

Again, compared to the first book, I felt the emotions were much stronger. We get to feel a lot of love with some happiness and hope, then guilt and despair, panic and disorder.

We are left with a cliffhanger (this is a trilogy, so one more book!) and I’m not sure how I feel about that.

REVIEW: Devassy Avira (aka Dev) and Mikhail Reznikov (aka Misha) are rival figure skaters who compete in the doubles event with their respective partners. Dev is from the US, and he is getting increasingly angry by the skating judges favouring Misha, who is from Russia. He is sick of being runner-up and is starving for a gold medal. They have one encounter that neither can forget. They meet again months later at the Olympics, where tension and dramas are rife and both are determined to win the same event.

First off, this is a really great story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. For those that like their romance books on the backdrop of professional sport this is perfect. Our two leading men also have some pretty hot and heavy encounters. The plot of the story was simple but intense. Dev is the male darling of the US figure skating circuit, though he is looking to finish up skating and go into coaching. Misha’s back story is great and it presents an interesting perspective on the Russian Federation and the treatment of their athletes. However, like many things involving Russia, I’m going to assume that it is controversial.

Like all books with professional athletes as the main characters, both Dev and Misha have be careful and remain closeted, Misha more so than Dev. The characters share a passionate spark that began burning the moment they gave in to their attraction that does not diminish. Like all couple, especially in romance books, they fight. I am pleased to say that unlike some literary fights, this one is believable, as the tension at the time exploded and all Dev and Misha could do was fight. I think that just endeared the book more to me, even though it was right at the end and I was already in love with the story and the characters.

An interesting side point I would like to make. The Olympic Games in the book were held in Annecy, France and there was a brief mention of the Sochi Games. After a quick Google search to confirm, the Games this book is set in are the 2018 Olympics. If you were like me and wondered if this is true, quickly Annecy had bid, but the Games are going to be in Pyeongchang, South Korea. In addition, it was also interesting to hear Misha speak of the controversial Russian anti-gay laws. Of course, whether what the author presents is the truth or creative licence, it doesn’t matter in this case.
