Blurb: Milo is too nice to say no when the desperate call goes out for more staff to work Boxing Day at Eden Consumer Electronics. It’s just until they sell the door-crasher specials, but it means he can’t see his billionaire boyfriend Lance until later that day.

Lance spends December 25 jetting back from a business trip, eager to see Milo. He calls as soon as his flight lands Boxing Day morning, only to find out that seven hundred and thirty televisions are cock-blocking him.

What’s the point of being a billionaire if you can’t spend your way around obstacles? Milo doesn’t want Lance solving his problems with cash, but he’ll never find out because Lance’s efficient personal assistant, William, is on the case. Unfortunately, even billionaires are subject to the law of unintended consequences—and these aren’t the kind Lance can buy his way out of.

Will Lance and Milo have their Boxing Day date? Or have Lance’s pushy billionaire ways finally gone too far?

Review: Milo wanted to spend Christmas with his boyfriend, but instead he offered to help his boss at work. Or should I say Boxing Day, which I have no clue what that is (*snigger* It’s the day after Xmas, we Brits celebrate it ~Pixie~). He has quite a bit to sell but too bad no one was shopping at his particular store. Lance is a billionaire with a hot boyfriend. A boyfriend that has to work. So Lance and his best friend William, decide to help Milo in a very intriguing way.

This is a very cute little story that was a blast to read. It switches from present time to when they had met, which at first is a little off. However once I figured out what was going on, not so bad. I hate to admit that even though this was a blast to read, it really didn’t come off all that Christmas type of story.

It is a fun story and perfect for when you need that quick burst of sexy into your day. I would recommend it.

Review: Daniel and his ex had broken up after fourteen years and now it was time for Daniel to once again get his life back in order. He had decided to move back to a small town and just enjoy his life. He loves working with animals, so when he sees a lynx walking around he is quite surprised to see him so close to town. However not as surprised as he is when he finds out that his neighbor is the lynx. A man that he is falling in love with.

I absolutely love these stories. They are small, but have so much meat to them that they keep you entertained. This particular story caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. I loved how well-developed the story is and how the characters are well-rounded.

This is one story that I would love to see made longer and put into a series.

I enjoyed reading it and would definitely recommend it.

Blurb: Ren Murphy is a stagehand. He’s also a loyal friend, a gifted musician, and an inspiring teacher—but most people don’t see past his job. Ren knows that crushing on the Oilton Philharmonic Orchestra’s principal timpanist, Christoph Theoharis, is a waste of time. Christoph brushes off highly eligible would-be suitors regularly. Review: If you’re into The Arts – i.e. following a hot musician and a stagehand from the local performing arts centre – and you just want to read a nice, sweet story, then this is the one for you.

Just the title – The Timpanist and the Stagehand – explains it all. The story is told from the POV of the stagehand, Ren. He has a crush on the timpanist of his city’s symphony orchestra, Christoph.

This is only a novella so everything is sharp and to the point. The story of Ren and Christoph’s developing relationship centres on the men’s personal baggage which is holding them back as a couple. Ren is something of a black sheep in his family, while Christoph keeps his family’s past close to his chest in fear of being rejected.

While it story itself isn’t overly and unnecessarily melodramatic, which I think is a credit to Ava Hayden’s writing, there is just enough mystery and tension to allow the plot (and the characters) to develop at a nice pace.

There are a number of minor characters that make the story even more enjoyable. Ren has a small cast of friends who play in a band where Ren is the drummer. These are really the family that he chooses after having difficulties with his own between coming out and not going to university after high school.

Ren’s family also makes an appearance and I like that they aren’t made out to be the devil despite the falling out that occurred between Ren and his parents. These people in Ren’s life are integral in getting to know Ren and where he is in his life – and just how perfect he is for Christoph.

Quite simply, I loved this story. It is all kinds of sweet with a HEA and all the plot points are tied together nicely.

Blurb: Nick DiGiaccomo waits tables at Fortissimo, an exclusive restaurant in Oilton, Alberta. He loathes drama, particularly the kind that makes its appearance on Valentine’s Day.

This Valentine’s Day is especially bitter. Eight months ago Nick’s heart was broken when his lover walked away without a word over a misunderstanding. Too proud to call, Nick’s heard nothing from him since. But on this, the most romantic day of the year, he keeps his feelings well-hidden and his professional smile firmly in place.
That is, until he sees his ex-lover, Mark Mishimoto, at a table for two in his section—and his Valentine’s Day goes from bad to downright horrible.

To make matters worse, a winter storm descends, hours earlier than forecast. When the restaurant closes, Nick finds himself stuck downtown in the middle of a blizzard with no way to get home and nowhere to go. Mark lives conveniently close by, and he’s offering up his couch.

Nick could use a place to lay his head—but is it worth risking his heart?

Review: This is a nice, short and shiny story for a bit of Valentine’s romance, coupled with a smidgen of sarcasm and wit to the whole day. To be honest the blurb is more than descriptive about what happens in the short story – I think that it could be a lot shorter considering the story itself is only 31 pages.

As for the story itself, this is about waiter Nick. He’s stuck working on Valentine’s Day, although he really does hate that kind of public display of romance. On top of that, his ex, Mark, who had left without a word after a misunderstanding, turns up at the restaurant sitting at the table for two he had booked. This is really a sweet story. There are a couple of flash backs and a hint towards the future at the end.

The plot is simple, if you haven’t figured out what Mark is doing after reading the blurb you’ll figure it out a couple of pages in. That being said, the simplicity is a good thing because that means we can get a bit more in-depth about how things are between Nick and Mark.

A wonderful Valentine’s/winter romance, if anything I want to know more about Nick and Mark’s relationship.
