Position 69

(Vic & Matt: The Positions of Love 13)
by

J.M. Snyder

It’s been a few years since Matt diLorenzo gave his lover Vic Braunson a copy of The Kama Sutra for Gay Men, which doubled as a handy reference guide to the superpowers Vic got every time they made love. The book is well-worn and scribbled in, and the guys haven’t seen it in years. But there’s one position they never got around to really trying out …

Vic tries not to bring a bad day at work home with him, but Matty can be persistent. Once he uncovers what’s bothering Vic, Matt does his best to make his lover forget about everything but him.

But Vic is still moody the next morning, and when he returns to work, one thing after another gets him hot under the collar. His foul mood simmers all day.

Then he hits the gym after work, and his anger bursts into flames when someone makes the move on his guy. Will Matt be able to put out the fire before anyone gets hurt?

The Positions Of Love Collection

by

J.M. Snyder

When Matt diLorenzo gives his lover, Vic Braunson, a copy of the Kama Sutra for Gay Men as a Christmas gift, they find it doubles as a handy reference guide to Vic’s super powers. All they have to do is test out the positions to see which one gives him what ability …

Contains the stories:

The Positions of Love: When Vic’s boss asks him to play Santa at the company Christmas party, the enticement of more time off sweetens the deal. It might be a wonderful holiday season after all … if he can only find the perfect present for his lover.

Two Pillars Position: Some mornings, Vic stops by the gym to bench-press a few thousand pounds, show off for his fellow bodybuilders, and spend some time with his lover before he has to start his day. A quickie in the pool showers seems like a good way to get the blood pumping …

Clasping Position: Though Vic had difficulty finding a suitable gift for his lover for Christmas, Matt has the perfect evening planned for Valentine’s. He’s made reservations at an expensive steakhouse for the two of them, and hopes the intimate dinner is a prelude to a night of love. But things get a little frisky before they leave for the restaurant.

Hammock Position: Spring is in the air, and Matt convinces Vic to join him for a little rest and relaxation on the sunny banks of the James River. What’s more enticing than sex on the rocks by the river’s rapids?

Two Dogs Position: Doggy style brings out the animal in Vic, literally. He finds out the hard way, when Matt invites friends over for a party. Vic’s heightened senses reel from the sights and sounds, and he locks himself away in the bathroom just to get his latest superpower under control. But what he hears in the apartment above puts the party on hold.

Cowboy Position: Matt diLorenzo has a secret fetish — he loves to watch a man eat. When Vic finds out, he suggests they share a quiet, indoor picnic. Something sinfully sexy, for just the two of them. On the menu? Whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and chocolate syrup drizzled over Matt’s bare skin for Vic to lick off.

Kneeling Butterfly Position: It’s a rainy Saturday and Matt wants to spend it at the mall. And what Matt wants, he gets. There’s only one little problem. He loves shopping; Vic does not. Still, the promise of sex in the dressing room sparks Vic’s interest.

Pillar and the Ivy Position: One of Matt’s favorite sexual positions, but he doubts his ability to support Vic’s weight as they make love standing up. He’s not the one with super strength, after all. Vic thinks maybe they could pull it off … in the gym’s swimming pool.

Tripod Position: It’s Vic’s birthday, and Matt wants to do something special. When he discovers his lover has a leather fetish and used to be into clubbing, Matt thinks it’d be fun to go out as a couple to celebrate his special night. But while Matt looks sexy in boyshorts, Vic isn’t the only one watching.

Lotus Position: When Vic has a few days off from work, the two visit Wildwood, New Jersey, a tourist town Matt used to frequent as a child. Though Vic isn’t keen on crowds and would prefer to spend his downtime at home, Matt entices him with the offer of sex on the beach … and he doesn’t mean the drink, either.

The Arc Position: It’s Halloween, and Roxie is having a party. Matt wants to dress as policemen but Vic’s latest power creates a costume all his own.

Sideways Position: For Thanksgiving, Matt takes Vic home to meet his parents. The diLorenzos aren’t quite sure what to make of their son’s lover. Matt’s Nonna tends to lapse into her native tongue without realizing it. Imagine everyone’s surprise when Vic answers her in flawless Italian.

Lieutenant Lee Mallory spends his time off duty playing video games. There isn’t much else to do while stationed on the USS Nova out in deep space.

Unfortunately, a run in with his commanding officer, Jonan Thomas, strips him — and everyone else onboard — of their gaming privileges.

Thomas has had it in for Lee from day one, when they got off on the wrong foot. Now, banned from using the game server in the rec room, Lee sneaks online in his quarters after hours, looking to play.

That’s where he meets a fellow gamer onboard who’s interested in a different kind of game. As much as Lee wants to hook up, though, he can’t afford to get into any more trouble.

When best friends Jamie Eckert and Derek Duran realized they were in love, they took their relationship to the next level. But then Derek’s budding music career took off, and so did Derek.

Twenty years later, Jamie still lives in the small town of Ashbury, Virginia, where he grew up. He’s grown up and moved on — now he owns the family funeral home business and is raising Riley, his precocious six-year-old adopted daughter.

But emotions Jamie thought long buried are stirred up again when he gets an early morning removal call. The deceased is Derek’s mother and Riley’s babysitter, Mrs. Duran. Now Derek’s back in town for the funeral, and he turns to Jamie for support … in more ways than one.

Angry at Derek for not keeping in touch, and angrier at himself for still loving the man who left him behind, Jamie is torn between his professional duty and his feelings for Derek. Will he be able to put aside his past with Derek to carry out Mrs. Duran’s final wishes? Or is Derek interested in rekindling their relationship after all this time?

Review: This is a super short story, so here’s a super short review for it. Being that it is only eleven pages, it a short, sharp and shiny read that is exactly what it says in the blurb. It feels like we only scratch the surface of the characters Paul and Ethan, but what do find out about them is quite pleasing.

There isn’t enough time or word space to get any complicated situations but it is hot. I think everyone wishes for a hot plumber to turn up and really, this story just feeds into the fantasy. Perfect for what it is; if anything, I would love to read a longer story featuring Paul and Ethan.

Blurb: My boyfriend and I go to the same college, and one of the things I enjoy most is sharing a room with him. Sharing a bed. I hoped living together would improve our relationship, which has grown rocky as of late.

But he’s the jealous type, and I always seem to say or do the wrong thing at the wrong time. I don’t mean to provoke him; sometimes I just don’t think how my actions might hurt him.

Unfortunately, our roommate only sees us when we’re at our worst, so she thinks things are bad between us. When he’s angry enough at me to kick me out of bed and I have to sleep on the couch. When he snaps at me for flirting with her, even though he knows I don’t mean anything by it. She never sees how wonderful he is to me sometimes, or how perfect we can be together when we’re alone.

I hope her misplaced concern won’t come between us. Or maybe it’ll be my own stupidity that tears us apart.

Review: This a short story so I will skip the rundown. The blurb above sums things up well.

I loved the depth of emotion in this story.  You could feel the pain, the sorrow, the love, the want the desire. The one thing I didn’t really like was there were no names of characters and no physical description however saying that, I think that made the focus on the feeling even greater.

I recommend if you like a story full of emotion and hot mansex.

Review:  Jerry doesn’t think he is an old fogey, but when his company switches to MacBook, he balks, and sticks with his old laptop. When he logs on, the work screen doesn’t appear, so he has to call the IT department. In walks sexy techie Quin. He looks much younger than he is, and Jerry is taken by him.  In more ways than one…

I really liked this story! I found it fun and quirky. I loved both characters, and chuckled aloud so much, hubby thought something was wrong with me. I found each twist cute and funny.

I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a fast, fun, humorous, and loving. If you like techies, cut guys in glasses, hot older men and hot mansex give this one a try!

While shopping for his daughter’s Christmas presents, Bob runs into Dave Knarr, an old friend. They used to be best buds in high school, before Julia, Bob’s soon-to-be ex-wife, came between them. Review:  Good story. Could definitely have used some fleshing out. In fact, this book could actually be the start of a series leading away from the holiday’s as long as the story was longer and completely fleshed out. Things happened way too fast for real life, and it didn’t make sense, but hey, this is a Christmas miracle story, so I let it slide. Good job. Write a sequel, flesh it out, make it longer, let your hair done, and let your imagination run wild with this story.

Blurb:   Dale Thomason isn’t much of a cat person. In fact, he doesn’t particularly care for animals of any kind. Or people either, for that matter. A food critic for the local press, he dines out on the company tab without the hassle of going on a date. His sex life is non-existent, particularly when compared to that of his bisexual BFF, Jill.

When a stray orange tomcat brazenly follows Dale home one night, he calls Jill to come rid his apartment of the feline terror. But he can’t seem to keep the cat out of his home, and the next time it comes inside, Jill isn’t there to rescue him, so he lets it stay.

That night Dale has the sexiest, most vivid dream starring the hot new redhead who just moved into the apartment across from his.

In the morning, the cat has mysteriously vanished and Dale is left reeling from the wet dream. Did he imagine the whole thing? Or does his new neighbor harbor a furry secret?

Review:  What a pleasant surprise this little book was. Dale Thomason is a food critic for the local press. Since he’s very hard to please and has a huge ego, getting some has become a huge predicament for him. Everything changes one day after he finds a stray orange tomcat inside his home which he immediately dislikes. Dale is not an animal lover or a people lover as a matter of fact. But something very mysterious surrounds the small orange cat. After a night of drinking, he lets the little cat inside his home to spend the night since he cannot locate his owner. That night, he has very vivid sexual dream with his new neighbor. Soon, he finds that his neighbor (Scott) and the small orange cat are one in the same.

I loved Dale and Scott. Dale is a very interesting character since he is not likeable or friendly. He is the grumpy type of guy that reveals his funny and friendly side only when you become his close friend. Scott was a pleasant surprise since he shape shifts into a cat. Yes, a cat, not a werewolf or a pale vampire. There are several funny, sexy and interesting scenes throughout the novel that makes it a must read. However, I didn’t like the fact that the story was just too short. I wanted to read more about this short, but extremely interesting novel.

I recommend this novel to anyone who wants to read a fresh new story written by one of the best writers in the industry.

Blurb:   Ranch hand Tommy Prout thinks he’s in love … with his boss, Hal Bolstrum. Problem is, Hal’s engaged to be married to the ranch owner’s daughter and, though he knows of Tommy’s crush, he sees it as nothing more than harmless affection. When payday rolls around and the other cowboys want to ride into town to check out the girls at the Wildhorse saloon, Tommy tags along to throw off any suspicion anyone might have about his feelings for his boss. He sure as hell doesn’t want to spend his money on any of the soiled doves the town has to offer.

At the bar he meets Lila, an enterprising young working girl who takes a liking to him. When Tommy says he wants to be left alone, Lila suggests he rest in her room — with the promise they don’t have to actuallydo anything. But Lila isn’t like the others, and when she discovers Tommy is more scared of her than attracted to her feminine charms, she lets him in on a little secret.

Lila’s real name is Stephen Marsh. He lives as a woman, moving from saloon to saloon, pleasing men for money. He loves men and enjoys his work, and what others don’t know about what’s under his skirt doesn’t bother him. In all his years on the prairie, he’s never met someone quite like Tommy. When he discovers Tommy is sweet on Hal, he suggests teaching the cowboy just how to please a man.

He doesn’t mean to lose his heart to Tommy in the process.

With “Lila” in his life, Tommy begins to dream of someone softer than Hal, someone pretty when dolled up but still man enough where it counts. Someone like Lila. As his feelings deepen, can he use Lila’s own teachings to win the heart he really loves?

Review:  This story stole my heart. Oh.  MY.   Goodness! It was fabulous. I was captivated by the first paragraph. J.M. did such a great job describing the scenery, you felt you were there.  And she made the characters come to life, both physically and emotionally.  I felt like I was the cowboy!  The whole story was so well written and believable, you could hardly put it down.

I fell in love with Tommy immediately. I could feel his frustrations and his secret desires for his foreman.

I was as surprised as Tommy when he came in and found his foreman, the object of his desires and dreams with Sarah the boss’s daughter.  I was like, hmmmm… I just knew the story was gonna be about him and Hal.

So, I read on.  I felt so badly for Tommy when his friends coerce him to going to a saloon and to try to get him a hooker.  You could feel his pain, not wanting the others to know he was gay, but not wanting to be with a woman either, still aching from what he saw earlier.  Still wanting Hal. Then I was really freaked out when he went upstairs with Lila one of the saloon girls. I had to double-check …isn’t this an M/M romance?

The scene was so hot and afterwards when Lila was talking about his –oops did I say his?-HER feelings I immediately bonded with him-I mean her. The sex scene was amazing and the emotional needs and connections so good.  I couldn’t decide which character I loved the most.  But, I am a hopeless romantic. So, does Tommy fall in love with Lila or will he finally win over his macho crush Hal?

I’m not gonna tell! You will have to read A Cowboys Heart by J.M.Snyder for yourself. You won’t be sorry. Be prepared to fall in love with a Cowboy! I give it 10 hearts! Oh, man… I can only go up to five? Well, Five it is♥♥♥♥♥!!

Too bad Jeremy didn’t order the pizza — it belongs to his neighbors.

Still, he’s pleasantly surprised when the delivery guy returns to give Jeremy his number. Paul gets off work in a half hour, and wants to hook up, if Jeremy’s interested.

Suddenly Jeremy’s evening just got a hell of a lot better.

Review: Another incredible hot short story from J.M. Snyder. Jeremy is trying to finish an article but just can’t get into it when there’s a knock on the door.  he opens it to reveal a hot pizza delivery guy. Paul knocks on the wrong door by mistake and by the end of the night he’s glad he did.

This is a cute hot sexy story, Jeremy is thrilled when Paul asks if he can come back after his shift has ended and Paul is thrilled when Jeremy agrees to go for a drive with him. This has got some incredible hot car sex that takes you back in time (not me though I was a good girl *snort*), the chemistry is great between these two and they were really cute together.

I’d recommend this to those who want a hot sex fix with cute guys and a maybe more ending.

Blurb: Mitchell Nolan is a bartender working late on Christmas Eve. As the last patrons leave, he stays behind to clean up. Why hurry home? There’s no one waiting for him, and he knows Santa won’t bother leaving anything special for him this year.

Then he meets Romy Lariner, who ducks inside the bar when his car won’t start. Sparks fly between these two lonely men this Christmas Eve. Maybe Santa has a little something up his sleeve for Mitchell after all …

Title previously published by Aspen Mountain Press.

Review: Mitchell is feeling the loneliness of his life as he closes up the bar.   Thinking back to his ex and how it ended with an ‘it’s not you’ speech, when a handsome man comes in.  Romy enters the bar to use the phone when his car breaks down and gets more than he bargained for.

This is a hot short that makes you hot under the collar. There is instant attraction between these two men and it is a sensual seduction between them as they flirt and touch and then have some explosive hot sex. We don’t get to know the characters and there is no big storyline but it is one hot little short that gives us the very beginning of a relationship that hopefully lasted longer than just one night, the potential was there.

So I would recommend this to those who love short stories, instant attraction, hot bar sex and a sweet ending.

Blurb: The year is 1883. Eduard van De Lier is a Dutchman overseeing a spice plantation on the island of Java, in the South Pacific. His obsessive attraction to dark-skinned men is just one of his many secrets. His wife Marien knows of his indiscretions, but as she’s content with their Colonial lifestyle, she stays silent.

Until a former lover of Eduard’s shows up in their parlor with thoughts of blackmail.

Reza was a crewman on the ship that brought the van De Liers to Java. During the passage, Eduard spent many a night in the younger man’s arms. Two years have passed, and the last person Eduard expects to find in his drawing room is Reza, a letter in hand that could destroy the life he and Marien lead.

Seeing him again ignites Eduard’s lust for his first dark lover. He hopes to retrieve the letter, either through seduction or subterfuge, and the longer Reza eludes him, the more his desire grows. But they’re on shaky ground, and before things can heat up between them, their world explodes — literally — when the unstable island of Krakatoa erupts.

Review: Eduard is a man of deep passion; a passion for the native men of Java. Reza is a sailor who Eduard seduced on the voyage to Java and has come to demand what is his.

I thought this was a brilliant historical novella and it really drew me in from the beginning… because really who doesn’t love a seduction on the first pages.  Having Reza come back into his life really shakes Eduard’s world but that doesn’t stop him from being determined to seduce Reza again.   Seeing the realization dawn on Eduard as he begins to understand that his lovers of the past two years have been pale imitations of Reza was nicely done and Reza’s determination to have Eduard all to himself and the way he manipulated the situation was brilliant.

I thought the setting was good and the descriptions of the earthquake’s and the volcanic eruptions and the subsequent tsunamis were detailed and scary, very well written. I know that the eruption of Krakatoa was a real event and I thought the author has done a good job of bringing it to life in a fiction story.

I recommend this to those who love historical, delicious and erotic, a male nymphomaniac and a man who knows what he wants. A definite good read.
