Review: I have read every paranormal romance that this author has put out, so I knew that a contemporary might be a bit unusual. It is exactly what it is, a very cute little romance story.
Davis is a college student who has made his way around all the boys on campus, but the new kid might just be the one. I really wished though that the author would leave off the bisexual part in the story. I don’t want to hear about how he got it on with some female, but thankfully Jackie didn’t give it to me. Any way Davis was never set to settle down, that is until Adrian shows up and he runs him over.
Adrian is a very sweet guy from the North who just wants his degree. He decided that Georgia Tech has the best studies for him. All he has to do is to get use to his roommates and his class schedule. That is until one very sexy man runs him down. Things heat up real fast and wow are these two hot together.
This is a story about two young men starting out and getting use to the world as we know it. These guys are just getting the taste and it is a very sweet deal. I have to admit though that I just wasn’t really all into this story. I guess I missed all the major action that this story just didn’t have. It is perfect if you need to get something to lighten your day up. Like I said above it is a very sweet and tender love story with two hot sexy boys. It was an enjoyable read but just not really my thing.

Review: Each book in The Mark of the Jersey Devil collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
I have read many stories over the years both contemporary and paranormal, but I must say that I think paranormal stories will always be my favorite. And with favorite stories, you have favorite authors that will entertain you and keep you begging for more. I came across both of these authors when they started publishing their stories and they have made a way onto my list of favorite authors. So when I found out that they were going to write together, let’s just say I was stoked.
The worlds in this story and the previous are unique and very detailed. They keep your attention throughout the whole book. I love the whole mystery and ghosts that come along with these stories. I love how the guys just seem to work perfectly together and even the long lost brother helps them. Although Tad has me a bit worried, and why didn’t Ryder mention what he saw concerning Tad.
Ryder lost his job and thanks to a best friend, he ends up moving to Chicago and works with his buddy. However on a night out he comes across a beautiful woman in white, who might lead him on a different chase then he had expected. He has been approached by Resurrection Mary. However Mary might have been taken over, because now she is downright pissy and needs Ryder’s help.
Paval has given them another job to look at, so Oleg and his friends head out to look at the site of Resurrection Mary. Then he gets a very scared call from a man who needs their help. It would seem Mary has attached herself to Ryder and that is really Oleg’s place. Oleg needs to find out what is really going on with the ghost to keep his new love safe.
This is an action pact and danger filled story where love finds away. I enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading many more stories written by these two authors.
I can’t wait to read the next story in this amazing series. This is one book I would recommend.

He just needs to figure out how to tell the sexy photographer. Rick’s only thought was to protect his pictures, his life had been horrible and he had found a way to move on. That is until his apartment catches fire. Then he is about to meet the one man who might just give him a life.
The fire is unlike any fire they have seen, except for one. Holden and his family is about to come across an old foe, set to destroy those who are like Holden. Phoenix shifters are so very rare that you don’t know they are there. It would seem Rick is about to learn of a different world out there.
I came across one other series that involves Phoenix shifters and they have always been a fantasy of mine. So when Jackie wrote this I knew I had to grab it up. I have always loved a good paranormal love story and when I am given a new set of shifters I am there. I can’t wait to see what the next story brings me. To top it off you get the brothers in one room and you can be guaranteed to be laughing your ass off with their actions.
This is a story that will draw you in and keep you captivated until the end. The characters are quirky and a blast to have around. I had a lot of fun reading this and can’t wait for the next story.

I don’t think I have laughed so much from reading a story as I do with these books. Winslow and Sparks love to cause trouble in their own little ways. Winslow has been keeping secrets that involve a sexy Nile Croc named Teegan. Teegan is just as infatuated with the little chipmunk. Gets more interesting when Winslow’s family comes in. Things are going to get even better now.
This is one of my favorite short stories, although I do wish it was longer. I can’t wait to read Spark’s story. The poor residents of their sweet town is about to even go crazier. There is so much humor in it that you will laugh your ass off. Jackie always does have a way with telling a story. She gives you a world that you can lose yourself into.
I had so much fun reading this and look forward to the next story.

Review: I’ve mentioned on previous installations’ reviews that this series is sweet and comfy. Intensity, angst, and ferocity just don’t have a place when we talk chipmunks and White Pine (the town where this series is set), but that is okay with me. Even as I love the bloodthirsty shifters Jackie Nacht can write, I also adore this side of them too. And what’s not to adore when we talk about cuddly, grouchy bears and mischievous sexy chipmunks?
So this time we have Dallas’ and Nikkos’ story. A quick reminder; Dallas is the White Pine’s bear-shifter and owner of the pastry story. We’ve met him from the very first book, as he’s Gunner’s best friend. We saw him again in book two as Beau, the deer-shifter fell for him, and now we see him starring in his own love-story with the chipmunk-shifter and Phillip’s brother, Nikko.
Being totally honest, I didn’t expect to like this story all that much. When Nikko threw himself all over Dallas on book two I thought that this one would have been way too transparent to keep me entertained. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that even a known HEA could keep me on my toes when done right.
Nikko has made his intentions clear enough and almost all the players know that he has his sight set on the bear, but Dallas is not just anyone. He’s grouchy, he’s solitary, and he has his own space and doesn’t really want anyone in there. It is fascinating to read how he slowly gives up and comes around to this chipmunk’s whims. It is exhilarating seeing, as the predator becomes the prey. Letting go of his comfort zone is something I knew would happen beforehand, yet I still felt my heart skip a beat when Dallas finally surrendered. He even managed to surprise me at the very end too with how he behaved after his surrender.
In general, this story is one of those that you can’t find a fault even if you search for one. It is sweet and romantic; it is comfortable and easily read. The plot draws you in and its intention is to bring forth happy feelings, which it accomplishes with ease. It is also quite passionate too. Nacht has a way describing hot feelings and sexiness. The erotic parts in this story make your heart palpitate a bit faster and your head a bit dizzy. That’s definitely something not to overlook, as it’s accompanied with a loving/mating plot that simply fits my ideals of what mates should be all about.
So in the end what I’m trying to say with so many words is: I loved this story. If you liked what you read above, I certainly recommend you this book. Keep in mind that this is one of those that are best read in order, so my advice is: go grab the two previous ones and have a sweet break from reality. It is well worth it. 😀

It keeps me from getting a bit lost in the stories and gives me an insight in to their world. A world that captured my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. I love the way each character just mixes with the others. How fast they are to defend what is theirs and what they believe.
There are many books out there with so many different types of shifters, but this one is has a quite a bit of a twist. I love the way there are snakes, spiders, ants, and scorpions. Deadly creatures, even more dangerous since the toxic’s are now air born. Many have been changed physically from the toxins. Boone has known from the moment he set his eyes on the anti-venom that they were mates. Now getting Julius to trust him and let him in might be the hardest part of it all. He finally lets him know about his past and how the reason he sticks so close is because of a previous danger. He is letting Julius get to know him and his heart.
Julius is an anti-venom, where as Boone is a venom. Boone is a spider and at first he creeped him out quite a bit. However, he is realizing he is falling for the crazy spider. Now if they can come out of the battle’s that seem to keep on hitting alive, then maybe they can find a life for them to have. A life that includes the love they have for each other.
This story has a touch of humor to it even though I am not sure that was what Jackie was intending. I love the way it came off to me though. The only thing I wish was it was longer. It just flows off the pages. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading all the way to the end. I loved it and cannot wait to read book four. It gave me everything I could ask for in a story. It gave me sexy men, shifters, excitement, dangerous situation, deadly enemies, and twists to the story. It gave me that and so much more. I would recommend reading it, you won’t be disappointed.

Review: Paranormal Dentistry for the Fanged and Friendly comes back with book two and Beauregard’s story. Now for those of you who didn’t read the first book, this is a series that while each and every installment can be read as a standalone, it would be better to read them in order, so that you can get a better grasp of the town these stories are set and the shifter community that exists there. It also helps with each couple as we first meet them on other installments and then their story comes forward.
So we met Beauregard on book one; he is the deer shifter and hygienist working for Dr. Gunner Samuels. In book one, we saw him obsessed with Dallas the bear and frankly, I thought they would hit it off. But fate has other plans for our dear deer…
Sergei the lion and the local butcher knows he is Beauregard’s mate, he feels it in his soul, but the obsession Beau had for the bear has put their relationship back quite a lot, as now his beloved deer is refusing to even go out on a date with him out of fear that he’s going too fast again.
Sergei has to literally stalk his prey and not let up the pressure until Beauregard gives in.
This series is basically the light to this author’s darkness. This novella is one of the sweet and fluffy types Jackie Nacht writes, with lots of fun and games, bantering and chasing and playfulness in the mix. The key setting is (from what I’ve understood so far) a carnivore with a herbivore coupling. A satirical effort or an attempt of endearing the complete opposites, the couple you think, “no way are those two going to be together, such as a lion-sifter and a deer-shifter.
It also has that fated-mates vibe, but written in a weird way. What I mean is that while the “bond” exists, it isn’t the focus or even a reason to force the mates into a bonding; it’s more like a path to show the most compatible couplings, and incentive to make them come closer a bit faster. However, on both books, the fated-mates concept was very subtle, it faded under the humor, and games the couples have.
As for this particular read I liked it but found that it was missing things and it also was in need of a bit more polishing and proofing. What it was missing was the scene of Beauregard and Sergei’s first meeting. One must read the first book in order to get that first time feeling, the chemistry between them two and a feel of Sergei as a person. While their first interaction was mentioned here, it was a bit vague and I would much have preferred it as a flashback or memory in order to give those sparks. Ah, and that is the key word, because yes this couple was fun, and yes they were funny, and yes they were playful and at times their antics made me smile, but there was that spark missing that rendered their lovemaking a bit flat, a bit bland, a bit unreachable. What can I say, I need my smut to be intense and this wasn’t. It was soft and snugly and it happened a bit too fast methinks.
Overall, though it was a good read, a fast one too, one of those that don’t require lots of thinking and doesn’t challenge, simply exists to give you a sweet vibe and take your mind out of anything heavy. Recommended for those who love sweetly, snugly, paranormal romance.

Review: I have been waiting for Daegal’s story it seems FOREVER and finally, finally I got to read it. To say I’m not disappointed would be the understatement of the year. I remember saying on my review for Full Moon Lockdown (book #1) that this was exactly what I loved and craved when searching for paranormal/werewolves stories, but little did I know then the magnitude of the treasure I had in my hands lore-wise. Every book we’ve read so far in the series has been a little stone on the road to an incredibly gripping story. Each instalment focuses more on each individual couple and gives us time to get to know them, get accustomed in their abilities/roles, while the background story develops rather slowly. In the previous book we met with a cruel and raw and vicious dark side of the lore, it shocked us and gave us exactly what was needed to comprehend the villains and perhaps gave us a hint of what to expect on the upcoming war that is boiling right underneath the surface. But this book, this really is the opening scene of the main story, veiled under the lines of Daegal and Oren’s mating. A Hellhound and a Werewolf who will begin the ultimate battle between two eternal enemies; the brothers Geri and Freki.
Daegal, a Hellhound who unknowingly claimed a Werewolf as a mate and irrevocably changed his life. His soulless existence died a horrible death when he stole half of Oren’s soul with that fatal bite. Now he’s assaulted with a vast range of emotions he never knew, and coping with them is driving him nearly insane. On top of that his mate hates him, those feeling burning everything in between them, every bridge driving them both toward destruction. Until one day something changes, turning everything upside down. What was known until then lost meaning and new things come to light…
I can’t say how intense this mating is, I can’t say how heavy the feelings between the pair are. It nearly brought me to tears when Daegal’s past was revealed through his memories, it nearly broke my heart as he felt the horrors done to him with this new set of emotions he doesn’t even know how to deal with. I nearly screamed in frustration as for the best part of it Daegal had to go through it all alone while his mate hated his guts. Yes, Rayce and Peyton’s story in book #3 left me raw, but this one was simply so very intense and emotional and sweet somehow inside all that darkness that it blew my mind away. I’m overwhelmed and okay, so I’m a bit in love with Daegal and might be biased, but this was one incredible ride with highs and lows and a scary kind of love. *wink*
So, I stand by my opinion that this instalment was the best of them yet in many ways. Wonderfully written it brings the reader to the edge and then takes him back only to make our heart beat when the action picks up, surprises sprouting from every corner and the end blowing your head away with its twist and promise that the next book full-fledged war will take place right before our eyes. In the end of the instalment I was left with a deep satisfaction for how Daegal and Oren turned out, and full of anticipation and excitement for book five.
Do I really need to recommend it? If you haven’t picked up the series I ensure you, you’re missing out. Grab it and dare dive in this fantastic world where imagination has no boundaries and fiction can steal your sanity away.

J: I’m comfortable. Have my hazelnut to my right and I’m a few feet from the ice packs to cool down lol. Be careful when its quiet that’s the time to worry.

Let the games begin
T: So, Jackie. I know that you are a relatively newly published author, but have you had the urge to write when you were younger? If so what did you wrote about?
J: Oh good question and honest answer; Nope. I never imagined being a writer. Growing up, you could barely keep me inside. I was very athletic growing up and that was my tool that I focused on to get a scholarship to further my education. I wanted to get into college and running was my source for that.
Does that answer frighten you? Actually my sister is what drew me to writing. I give her all the credit and the books she suggested for me to read and wanting to make something of my own.
T: Oh my, so it was your sister that “hooked” you into the genre and writing literally. What about the rest of the family? How do they react to your writing and the chosen genre?
J: My sister definitely hooked me to reading and writing. I wasn’t a big reader and Steph brought paperbacks to me saying “Try it.” Funny but it really brought us super close, and while when growing up we were polar opposites, now we are inseparable. Our family…that’s funny. Our immediate family is definitely supportive. My mom reads all our books and yes, even our grandmother has read a few.
T: That is astonishing indeed. Many authors keep this “part” of their life hidden because family doesn’t comprehend it. It’s amazing that yours is not only accepting but supporting as well.
J: LOL! I do write under a pen name, but I would do the same if I wrote a children’s book.
T: I suppose that is for your own privacy and not due to your immediate environment.
J: LOL! Yep, for my own privacy and my family as well. Before I started, I heard about people being searched and it made me a little nervous lol.
T: So, what is better for you; writing with company or without? Do you feel freer to create when alone or with a co-author? And does it limit your range writing with someone else, do you feel as if you can’t go places you perhaps could have gone if alone?
J: That’s a tough question and I would say writing with company has its pros as well as writing alone. With my sister, she brings things to the table I would never have thought of. With a co-author you create an amazing path through two shared minds. The weaving process of that is a lot of fun. Now with writing on my own; I don’t know what it is but I love to challenge myself. I know I have a certain “writing style” I can’t escape. However, there is always a new wall to break down, a new edge to sharpen. I love trying to tackle that and creating my own adventure and hopefully give readers a wild ride.
T: God I love your answers! Your work has been, as you yourself have admitted on previous interviews, on the fluffy and romantic side. What made you come up with the Moon Compound? (It is one edgy series after all) Where did the idea come from?
J: I love writing light and fluffy. No angst. There was times I had a bad day, didn’t want any more stress and have my to-go reads for light and fluffy. I guess I wanted to create a series that would be my comfort and something similar with what has brought me comfort. As for Moon Compound, I always wanted to write about wolf shifters. I’ve told people before what I thought about it though. If I was going to write about a wolf shifter, I better bring something new to the table or be prepared to be lost in the shuffle. Or heck no one wants to be thought as unoriginal. Plus it had to be dark and edgy…a challenge. The way I came up with Moon Compound was take a real look at the basic rules of wolf shifter lore, amped them a lot, and then throw a bunch of rules out the window. LMAO! I love breaking the rules in the series and actually cackle when I do it. Very unattractive lol. I also wanted to have the wolves be from somewhere original so I researched Geri and Freki (Odin’s wolf pets and changed the lore on it.)
T: Hahaha, I love you more for breaking the rules. *muah*
And damn, there went my next question out of the window: The Moon Compound has a pretty solid background story, the spine/core of it resides in ancient myths; what lead you there? So basically why Odin’s pets?
J: LOL! Sorry about that. As for Odin’s pets, I had been searching wolf lore and came across them and found two wolf pets that could not only be loyal to one God but fought side by side. I loved to take the myth and make a force push them apart and twist them to be enemies. That’s about all I can say because there is a lot of the backstory that hasn’t been mentioned yet lol but…some will be revealed in Hellhound.
T: I’m actually anxious to hear the answer to this question:
So, I have preferences in a vast number of genres, but it is no secret I adore dark and gritty, thus my absolute adoration for this series. Rarely though do authors let go and touch that “dark” side. What it hard for you to do that? Were there times where you thought going too far might hurt your work or your fans responses? And how have your fans reacted to your edgy side?
J: I know what you mean about the dark side. It was a little difficult to go there especially in Gamma. It was really tough to write some of those scenes and there are ones in this that while not in the physical moment, are emotionally draining. I do question myself if I go too far a lot of times, but I don’t want to pull back. I think if I did, the series would begin to fall flat and the characters would lose that edge of what brought them to that point. I know not everyone will like Moon Compound based on the darkness of it, but I try to make other series that will meet those readers’ needs. Hang on I have more…boy am I long winded lol. Some fans have enjoyed it, some haven’t. However, from what I’ve seen, I think most of the readers understood why all of it happened. There is no unnecessary torture or pain. It really is to make the story and characters richer.
T: As I’ve said I adore your Moon Compound series. The reason is stated above and I don’t mind repeating that I simply love the fact that you give more and more into the “darkness” as the story progresses. One other reason is that you don’t only focus on each couple individually, you also develop the main storyline with each new installment keeping your readers constantly captive and enticed and wondering how is it going to be next. Do you have the background story, the war raging between the Hellhounds and the Werewolves, already set in your mind, or do you create it as you go?
J: The entire backstory is set up and I know the war, central characters roles. However, there are a few things that plop up outside of my main outline. I have a lot of stories planned in this series and even have it plotted out to raise it to another level.
T: I love what I’m hearing for the series so far. I can’t wait for them and honestly it’s been since the Vampire Academy that I’ve felt in love with a series so much.
J: Thank you! That means so much Thommie!
T: But how about your characters. Have they gone beyond the limits you set for them, did they took on a life of their own after they were born in your thoughts?
J: Some of the characters have really written themselves. There was a few that I was like, “How in the hell am I going to be able to write him?” but when I got to that point, he kind of just did it for me. A few examples I had a tough time with was Ripley. How do you write about a man whose mind is lost? Daegal – A demon experiencing emotions for the first time? Daegal has definitely taken on a life of his own. Stinking Hellhound! Lol With Ripley and Daegal, I had to take a break from writing the book just to wrap my mind around the characters before pushing back in. Then when I had a grasp of them, the story flowed on its own.
T: Omg! Don’t you dare! After Ripley, Daegal is my favorite character in the whole Moon Compound. I think he is plain brilliant and really challenging.
J: All I’m going to say about Daegal is he is unique. He’s tough and with him you get a lot of backstory and therefore get a real insight to the hellhounds. It was planned all along to get that info on the hellhounds. I just needed Daegal to do it.
T: Damn you woman. It’s only another half month to go, but you’re making it really hard to wait. Moving on: If I have an issue with novellas is that the couple and their story don’t have enough time/place to settle and deeply satisfy me. I often feel I want more. Then there is the fact that we do get to see them passing by as supporting characters in the future installments, but not merely enough to satisfy my hunger. I think I miss them, lol.
Do you intend to bring some of the former/main couples in the spotlight and give us a bit more of their current relationship as it morphs through the different events? I’ve never seen an author do that so I was wondering if those thoughts ever get into your head at all.
J: Yes! I have a big plan with for that. Ripley and Brendan will be huge secondary characters in a future installment. I plan on doing a holiday installment with the brothers as well. I have a lot more but those are the two examples that shot straight out of my head first lol.
T: Yeahhhhh!!!!!! Oh dear! See, this is why I love you. It’s like you’re in my brain and picking up my fantasies.
J: haha! *hugs* Well with the way the series is written and the plot, these characters can’t just disappear. Each character has a meaning.
T: So, time has come for my final question!
How many books are you planning on writing in this series? And have you thought of your BIG BAM ending installment yet or am I rushing ahead too much here? And even more, when the time comes to wrap it up are you going for the classic HEA for everyone, or do you intend to challenge yourself and go for the reminiscing of everything that’s happened resulting into one bloody battle with uncertain results..?
J: Oh you went there lol.
T: Hahaha! Yup, I am THAT reader. Lol!
J: The plot is a little thicker than I imagined when I began. I know there will be at least a dozen books and I know what the last book will be and who it will be. As for a big bam ending…it’ll be big…war will be huge and there will be a huge battle! The results will be uncertain…for a reason.
T: Oh God, you’re planning a spin-off aren’t you?
J: What was that? *whistles*
T: Lol! Never mind *shakes head*
J: LOL! So tell me, how do you feel about hell?
T: Oh now you went there. I love Hell, it’s hot down there. Lmao!
J: LOL! Hell is pretty darn hot.
T: So the way I see it we should settle for a long wild ride in this bloody, war ridden world.
J: Yep, I would say this is definitely a project that will take more than a couple years.
T: I’m somehow happy to hear about that, even as I generally avoid series with a passion. My patience gets challenged a lot you see. But this is one of those worlds where the struggle, war, emotions, and myth mesh together and it’s pretty exciting for me as a reader.
J: Lol…a lot of people aren’t series readers. You’re not alone. Thank you!
T: You’re welcome. It’s only the truth. And it is I that must thank you for indulging my curiosity tonight. *smiles*
J: I’m trying to make it interesting and keep everyone on their toes. LOL I’m having fun…curiosity is a wonderful little troublemaker.

So, I know I only went around the Moon Compound (I’m obsessed, I know), but is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
J: LOL I don’t mind talking Moon Compound. I have a few books I’m really hoping to get out this year. One for sure will be dark and edgy like Moon Compound but it is a shorter standalone. I want to have it finished by the end of the summer because I’ve been dying to write it for a year now and have the first chapter done. Very shocking! My next Paranormal Dentistry book will be out April 18th. Oh and I have sugar cookie on my shoulder lmao.
T: Hahaha! I wonder with you and how you manage your time. I’m looking forward for your future work hon, you’ve been a gem for my “dark cravings” so far.

Review: This is my new favorite Valentine’s Day story. It is amazing the way what is normally serious turns into a fit of laughter. Chocolate is not a good idea for cats or in this case shape-shifting cats.
I love the way Kevin wants his roommate to find out that, he wants him. He gives him romance or at least chocolates. What he didn’t know was Brady was allergic to them. What he didn’t know was Brady was a shape-shifter. The cat that hated him at first was indeed Brady. He wanted him from the moment he moved in, but just didn’t know how to tell him. He thought Brady wanted him by the little touches and caresses. He just wasn’t sure. He would do anything to keep his man and when told they were mates he was stunned but very happy. The sex is amazing, sensuous, and very hot. You will fall in love with Kevin and Brady from the moment you meet them. They are gentle, kind, and very sweet.
Poisoned by chocolate is quite a way to go even for love. I loved this little story and look forward to reading more of Jackie’s stories. I do wish this one had been a bit longer though. I would love to hear more about them and their lives.

Shaun is shy, he’s your average geek, he’s the guy who works at the flowers shop in the corner and even babysits for his professors. He’s also nineteen years old and has never been touched. How could he when he’s never even been on a date before? That becomes a bit depressing as Valentine’s Day nears and Shaun keeps arranging flowers for loved ones.
Ian is… well, Ian is quite interesting. For a moment there, I thought he’d be your classic jock type, but no, thankfully he was much more. Going through a double major Ian has no time for a job or sports. No, he has his priorities set. The only thing that is missing is a nice boyfriend to fill his heart, and that becomes oppressing as his study group friends all match up and the sugar levels around him keep rising.
But love is in the air and when Ian escorts his friend to the flower shop so he can get his boyfriend a nice arrangement Ian wouldn’t dream the vision that popped right out of the flowers. Shaun is so cute and adorable that has Ian tongue-tied in seconds.
Yes, this is a very sweet story if not a bit unreal. I mean the amount of gay college boys was so high that for a moment I thought I stepped into a parallel universe where being gay was just another fact in life and something that can get you miserable when in college. But it was nice, a change in pace and went hand in hand with the light-heartedness needed for this special holiday. It gave me hope that maybe someday real-life can be like in the books.
The flirting and first date right on Valentine’s Day was lovely to read. It had the awkwardness I remember all around me having when I was that age. It made me laugh, it made me smile, and it totally made me go mushy. I admit though that the intimatescene, though it followed in a decent time frame, it was a bit awkward. Shaun being a virgin and all, I don’t know, but I expected a different lovemaking between them two. Does your first time ever go so smooth? It was perfect, too perfect perhaps.
Nevertheless this story is a blast to read and it definitely will make all fans of romance go “aww” a couple of times, the level of cuteness makes it hard not to. I’d recommend this for all the romance readers as its cut and dried for Valentine’s!

“Ready?”
Rayce nodded and led the team out.
They climbed into the vehicle and drove off. Malach drove while Ripley sat in the passenger side, giving directions to the bar. He should be focusing, watching where the hell they were going, but his mind was back with Peyton. Gripping his hair, he felt like pulling the damn strands out.
Malach stared back at him in the rearview mirror. “Do I need to turn around?”
Rayce really fucking thought about it. “No, but tonight, get someone else down here. I’m a weakness.”
Ripley turned in the front seat. Rayce remembered how powerful that feral was. “You better get your head out of your ass. We’re all counting on you, and my mate is counting on you. Hell, yours, too. Think of that and that’ll be all the focus you need.”
For someone thrust into this world, Ripley had more insight than anyone else in the car. Ripley knew the right words to say to bring Rayce’s mind back on the mission.
The drive was short, a mere five minutes. The place was off to the side of a road and there was a guy standing outside checking identification. They all exited the vehicle as one.
“That normal?” Rayce nudged Ripley.
“That’s the same guy I’ve seen every damn time I come here. Can’t believe he’s still working here.” Ripley cracked his neck. “Are we ready?”
Malach stared at the bouncer as well. “Is everyone armed?” he whispered.
“Just knives and daggers,” Rayce murmured.
Lukas nodded. “Same here.”
Malach eyed the door again. “Be ready for anything.” He turned and led the group and Rayce took up the rear.
The man at the door was human, but to Rayce, he appeared crooked as hell. Ripley nodded and handed over his ID. Thank gods, Malach had thought to get one made up for him when they planned the recon mission last week and that they had the connections to get one made.
“Ripley, been awhile.” The bouncer handed Ripley’s identification over.
“Yeah, been busy,” Ripley said smoothly. Rayce was impressed. The guy didn’t so much as pause.
The bouncer checked all their licenses and then they were waved in the bar. The lighting was shitty, and voices could be heard even in the hallway. They walked as a group and turned the corner.
Malach halted in his tracks, and Rayce immediately stopped and scanned the area.

The room fell silent as all eyes turned and focused on them. All black soulless eyes. The entire room was hellhounds. The entire fucking room.

. Review: I am NOT going to reveal this story or talk about the blurb or give away spoilers. One must read it and feel the full impact of this story without anyone spoiling it or taking away from the tension that surrounds you the entire read. But I am going to tell you my opinion on Full Moon Gamma.
. I knew it, I knew it the first time I laid eyes on the series that I’m going to get hooked. I knew it. But Sweet Mother of Hades, this is beyond good. I love, love, LOVED this book. It was painful, it was horrible even, it was explicit to the point I felt the welts on my own flesh and the pain wreaking havoc on my own body. Add to that the emotional break-down of a mating pair being slowly torn apart and I had a lump the size of an elephant on my chest for mostly half the read, and yet I loved every single moment of it. But it was incredibly painful reading the story as it unfolded. Even as I knew it’s all going to be well in the end, even as I saw how and where the help was going to come from. And oh my god, can you believe I felt sorry for the “helper”? At some point I wished for him not to be able to feel, because damn, his inner turmoil dealing and coping with those emotions must have been HELL, which by the way I can barely stand to wait for his turn and story.
. I just, oh dear me, don’t you just love it when a book makes you forget everything and lets you immerse in its clutches and just get lost in it. There are no words to describe the wicked idea behind this story and how brilliant I found the Gammas. You know, up until now we’ve only seen the Alphas and Omegas. In Brendan’s case we literally witnessed how important the Omegas are for balancing their Alpha mates. But the Gammas are seriously incredible. They just plain rock, and the possibilities they bring in the overall lore are numerous. They are like superheroes. Yay for the Gammas people! In a way this book feels like a crossroad or a stopping light after which the party begins. It’s like all three books together up until now slowly gathered they basics of the core story while simultaneously introduced us with the core players and now that the chess game is set up and every piece and pawn taken its place the battle can begin. It’s plain brilliant, it’s amazing how a series can evolve with each installment, how it’s not only about the “couples” and their sex life/mating, but there is a deeper story in there, one that hooks you, and drives you crazy, enthralls you and makes you a slave of it without you even knowing it until it’s too late. Yeah! I’m a captive of this series and never want to escape.
. Have I gone on too much? I feel like I can talk and talk forever and words will keep on coming. Not so sure they make sense though. If you haven’t read the series, you probably have no idea what the heck I’m babbling about, but there I can help. I strongly urge shifter-lovers out there to go ahead and make the jump. Dive in the murky and dangerous waters of Moon Compound series, let this lore take you in an incredible journey filled with action and adventure, love and want, and a tale that will rock you and make you see shifters with a whole different perspective. You might get a bit addicted and feel differently for other shifter books out there after this, but that’s not a bad thing.
. Now I seriously need to stop reading for a while and get my brain back in track, or go and re-read the series from the beginning… Hmm, choices, choices…

Review: A chipmunk shifter and a wolf shifter… Hmmm!
Alright, I admit it; after being totally in love with Jackie Nacht’s wolves (the ones I’ve met at Moon Compound series) I’d blindly go and read any story of hers, but chipmunk and wolf? Yeah, I was very, very cautious while opening and starting reading this one. And I got surprised.
Nothing similar to her other work whatsoever, Peanut Butter and Jelly for Two is a quick, fun and funny read that distinguishes itself from other similar reads as well. There is the lack of the ever-present fated mates. There is a lack of the ever-present magic that wants shifters magically healing and/or not catching diseases. Frankly, the only thing making this a paranormal read is the fact that characters shift.
The story has also an original take here as well. A dentist! A dentist set for shifters on forms, human and animal, with an entire crew that brings in clients from all over the place. Brilliant!
Now how about a dash of humor?
How about herbivores sticking their heads inside a carnivore’s mouth in order to flush/cleanse their teeth…? Do you see it?
How about having a vegetarian shifter trying to cook roast when the oven in his place has never, ever been used…?
How about a chipmunk falling for a wolf, and while the human part is quite all right with that, the animal inside wants to run the heck out of sight and well save yourself from the fangs…
It was funny, and it was enticing, and it was sexy as well. I must say it never occurred to me how a chipmunk in heat would act… (Yeah, I had images flowing in my head. Yeah! They were definitely weird images too) Overall, this was one fun read and a story I wouldn’t mind seeing more. After all, there is a certain couple there that needs to get their act together, Dallas has got to give some love around and stop being a big, fat, grumpy bear.
As for this book, if you do love shifters and appreciate humor, then I’d definitely recommend this little story. It’s bound to put a smile on your face.

Review: Now this installment of Birds of Prey was a nice surprise after the slight disappointment of the earlier ones. I suppose having a flock created by Athena it is bound to be a greater agenda behind the scenes, an agenda that now is reaching our eyes.
This book follows Wren and his fated mate Sebastian. Honestly I groaned a bit inwardly when I read the blurb, as Sebastian made it pretty clear on the previous installment that he does NOT want a mate, therefore causing me a bit of wariness for the upcoming fights between the inevitable lovers. However, as I said I was pleasantly surprised as Sebastian proved to be more, much, much more than reaches the eye. He (thankfully) is not the weak mortal mate in distress being haunted by the blood demons who desperately needs his immortal one to save the day every little step of the way. Nope, Sebastian can perfectly stand up to his enemies by himself. What with his Father and brother making an appearance, promising more to come I have the impression this is turning to be one exciting turn of events.
As for Wren, well his insecurities are still there – they do come with the little wren thing – but he manages to get over that fact and not cause lots of drama, thus allowing us to focus on his relationship with Sebastian and the action that takes place.
Again being totally honest, I must say that while this installment was a great, great improvement from the previous one, with the plot picking up and becoming highly interesting, Gods and Demi-Gods coming in to play and finally the mates not being all prey for the Demons, I still found Sebastian and the story around him not properly exploited. Some of the explanations given between the couple felt rather hasty and rushed, simply stated and over with, and that gave cause for a bit of detachment. I am having a feeling that we will see more in the future though so I’m reserving judgment, but I can’t help feel that these books should have been a bit bigger, a bit more.
As it is, my interest is highly spiced and though I began reading this book with the thought let’s give this series another try I ended up fascinated and anticipating what is to come. Please let it be Fallon and Raven.

Review: Now, I normally love longer stories, but this short story just had me with the first paragraph.
It is such a cute story with wonderful characters. Three years since they had seen each other and there was regret that they hadn’t pursued each other. Now they are back in the same hometown and there is so much heat when they look at each other that you can feel it. Grant is just as sweet and loving as you would wish a man would be and the same can be said about Wyatt. There are feelings there and they just burn hotter each day. The sex between them is so hot and sexy that you just fan yourself when you read it. Home for the holidays takes on a new meaning now. To be able to have that second chance you know you had wished for, you would do anything to keep your hands on it.
I do hope that there is a sequel to this story so that you can hear more about their lives together. I am so glad to have had a chance to read this story and would make it one that I would read repeatedly, especially during the holidays.
Gigi’s Review – 4Hearts.
I’m all for going home and reuniting with the would have been crush! Especially when he’s a big, hunky, sexy farmer! This isanother sweet Christmas tale of boy-mets-boy, nearly falls, then goes off to school and when he returns the flames burn hotter! Fairly predictable, not a lot of road blocks, a couple cute first dates, but sweet nontheless.

Review: Okay so we have a ton of handsome well-adjusted gay men in this story. Hip, Hip, Hooray! However, three brothers – all gay- a little unlikely. Not impossible or even improbable, just unlikely! It made this reviewer curious to read the story about the parents and how they dealt with three gay sons, but I digress. However, the story is really about Quinn and Mitch, who are both in college, their meeting, discovering they like each other and pursuing what one does in college – dating and having fun.
The way the two fall quickly into bed with each other is very reminiscent of how boys behave in college and it is clear that Mitch is well on his way to being a pretty aggressive, but lovable top. The story is very realistic and the interaction between all the men seems honest and believable. Two young hormone ridden men hit it off and then proceed to have lots of sex and follow it up with more sex when they get back to campus. There is no allusion here to happily ever afters, because this is clearly a college relationship – but what is pleasant to see is that these young men are happy, living their lives with supportive parents and friends in a healthy atmosphere.
So if you are looking for a short feel good romp about good-looking young men who are having lots of sex – then this is definitely for you.
