Blurb: Chance Dumont. Marcus Prater. Zachary Carmichael. Wick Templeton. Friends through circumstance, brothers by choice.

After facing off with his personal demons, Wick shuts down, but he never anticipated how his impulsive off-the-grid vacation would affect the rest of his chosen brothers. No one can hurt you like someone you love.

Before they have time to work things out, the serial killer who has been targeting Atlanta’s gay community strikes close to home. Again. It’s enough to cause an all-hands meeting at Chances Are. But when one of the brothers fails to show, it becomes clear that the close connection the men have to the murder victims is no coincidence.

They’ve got the smarts, the weapons, and the willingness to do whatever it takes to find their missing brother—before it’s too late. What brought them together in the first place may just be that which tears them apart forever.

Four authors. Twenty books. One explosive finale.

Review: This is the finale of a collaboration of four interactive series. I hope I worded that right. You really have had to have read at least some of these to understand what’s going on. It would be preferable if you have read all four series to really understand in full effect.  I have read both the Chances Are and Wicked Ways series through and a couple of the others. I loved how these authors collaborated and interacted each of the stories.

In this explosive finale, we wrap up a mystery of who is killing gays and why. It’s has become very personal for each of these men. I found the mystery exciting and interesting as it bought out new emotions in some of these characters.

Of course, there is sex. Good, hot, loving, mansex. Each of these authors has a style of their own bringing out the best in their characters and blending them with the rest. The Christmas scene at the end brought tears to my eyes.

I felt the finale wrapped all the series well, and left me with a warm fuzzy feeling. I cannot wait to see what is in store with the new upcoming collaborations.

If you like mystery, romance, family, and some hot mansex this is for you.

Review: So unlike many romance books set within a specific industry, this is not a love story set within the motorsports world, this is motorsports story that happens to feature two men who fall in love with each other. So in essence, it’s a sports story. This is the kind of book that I’d give a straight guy to introduce him to m/m romance.  The feelings between the men start out as more friendly and then morph into something else. The romance sneaks up on the reader with good cues of course, but it’s buried within the masculinity of the motorsports world

The good thing?  I learned more about racing that I could ever possibly want to know. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t boring in the least. Reading about the trials these men endure and the friendships and rivalries that are formed in this sport was a good read. Mark and Jordan’s relationship develop and like all men in sports, they must determine if they plan to be in or out the closet. As with all dramas, their hand is forced and they are outed.  The men must now handle the fallout in the machismo world of motorsports.

The book does not boast any heat at all, as there are no love scenes, although there’s lots of affection between the men; and, the discussions between Mark and Jordan as their relationship develops gives the reader insight into their relationship and why the two men work so well as a couple.

If you are a motorsports enthusiast, you will love this book because the story is really about the men who work in the sport.  Tangential to the Randolph Racing team and their trials are the two members who fall in love and bring some glory to the racing team they work for.

Blurb:  Eight years after leaving the deserts of Africa and the French Foreign Legion behind, Jonathan Wolfe has settled into life at Hawthorne Manor in the English countryside. Johnnie helps his adopted family run the manor and provide a safe, loving home for a new generation of “brats”: boys mistreated and discarded for their homosexuality—something all too familiar to Johnnie.

Although no longer an unruly youngster, Johnnie is as stubborn, foul-mouthed, and troublesome as ever. His recent rash behavior becomes a concern for those closest to him, especially Dr. Henry Young, the only man ever to capture Johnnie’s heart. Instead of soothing him, their closeness brings Johnnie’s insecurities from an unsettling past to the surface, and leads to an explosive situation that threatens to tear them apart. Then Henry’s past catches up to them….

Review: This is not exactly an accurate historical, and yes it’s about a group of gay men who take in gay orphans who have been abused and create a protective gay bubble for everyone to live in. Not very realistic for industrial revolution England. Just accept it and move on, because I loved everything else!

I enjoyed the interactions between the characters. I and I had the intended love/hate relationship with Johnnie, and his angst-filled ways. I loved to hate him and was rooting for him in the same minute! And don’t get me started on Chance! The drama that occurs when you really love someone, not as a lover but as a friend, and they keep making stupid decisions that you have to confront…it’s powerful in this story. Chance, Jacky, and Henry all have to make decisions regarding Johnnie…just what will the responsible one be?

I missed the first book in this series and will be hunting for it and downloading it very soon, for certain!

Before he can discover if he’s lost his mind or not, he’s claimed by a creature that insists they are long lost soul mates. Yannis is a guardian gargoyle. It is his duty and honor to guard the Temple of Zeus. It is his heartache that he can’t seem to find his Beloved. When he finds Nikos, Yannis gives in to his need to claim the man, not understanding until its too late that the man he claims doesn’t believe in the hands of fate–or soul mates. When the sisters of fate discover that sorcery has been used to keep two soul mates apart, they band together with other Gods of Olympus to bring the two men together, but those that fight to keep them apart won’t stop until one of them is dead.

Review: It’s lighter fare for sure, and I like the alternative shifter/paranormal person being a gargoyle. Though it was hard at first finding a gargoyle to be sexy. Adventurous, mysterious, sexy, and fun.

Sometimes the Greek names got a little difficult to ply, and I did not get a great feel for the location/environment/atmosphere of the story. There were slow moments and a few editing errors, but this is typical Stormy Glenn fare.

If you’re just looking for a fun and sexy escape for a few hours you’ll enjoy this book, but if you’re looking for deep, angst, or true mystery, this isn’t it.

Blurb: This is book four in the Nightmares series.

When dealing with creatures that should exist only in your nightmares, it’s best to have your own agenda.

Half-demon Colin finally meets his mark, the mysterious sex club owner Ben Chambers. Determined to make his latest mission a success, Colin doesn’t even shy away from using his manipulative powers to convince Ben of taking him on as a toy boy.

Fascinated by gorgeous Colin and his almost total lack of inhibition, Ben is only too happy to give him a chance but he soon realises that there’s a lot more to Colin than meets the eye. When the two of them discover that they share a special connection, Colin throws caution to the wind and confides one of his darkest secrets in Ben.

But while Ben is willing and able to give Colin some much-needed support and guidance on the way to learning how to handle his special abilities, he knows very well that when dealing with creatures that should exist only in nightmares, it’s best to have one’s own agenda.

Reader Advisory: This book contains mild BDSM scenes.

Publisher Note: This is the fourth book in a series with an ongoing story arc and it is recommended to read the series in order of release.

Review:  Colin’s nightmares just seem to get worse and worse. Except his isn’t dreams it’s his reality. I’m not going to run this one down, as it’s impossible to not spoil the last one or the rest of the series. So I will tell you what I liked about this one.

There are new characters and a new depth added to the story. You would think that being the fourth book and having so much sex that it would get repetitive but no, it doesn’t. It stays hot and fresh and now with a bit of BDSM and a couple new characters with secrets of their own it just gets hotter and hotter.   The mystery gets more intriguing as secrets unravel and Colin seems to keep growing in powers.  I can’t wait for the next book to see what’s next!

If you like BDSM, ménage, sex clubs, demons, Incubi, hot mansex and stories that continue this is for you.

So when Owen comes back from the grave and saves Peter, taking him away from the alpha’s, Peter is determined to make it work this time. The pup he carries is Owen’s, and he doesn’t want to lose his mate again because Owen’s wolf is hungry for revenge.

Review: Owen had been searching for Peter for four months when a group of wild alphas captured him. Only when he found him, he was in for a very big shock, Peter was pregnant. At first thinking that he had been raped and the baby wasn’t his, he killed as many as he could. When he found out that the baby was his, he was happy as a clam. As with many couples, they have their hard times as well as their good times.

This story has the right amount of danger, pain, anger, as well as passion, happiness and love. Peter was a Luna omega werewolf, tender, caring, and very loving. He was also scared out of his mind. Who would have ever guessed that after being grouchy, hateful, insecure, and scared that he would find out that he did indeed love his mate. Owen was an alpha but could act like he wasn’t. He was insecure in his relationship, scared of the past, tender and caring to his mate. He wanted so badly to have his mate love him, just didn’t think he deserved it. Their sex though was fantastic, hot, and very sexy. It made you want to fan yourself from the heat.

Marcy has a gift for storytelling and I am glad to have read her stories. The imagination to create such an amazing world with wonderful characters is a true gift. I loved this story as I have the others. I will definitely be reading it again. I hope there is another book after this one, because I can’t wait. This does however lead you into a new series called Werewolves of Willow Lake. Where you will learn more about the wolves with different colored eyes and powers.

Review:  First in the Delectable Vines series

This is the first book of a series that centres on Xeno who thinks he’s human, and the five members of the Fae Guardians. There are gorgeous guys, and sex aplenty, but I wasn’t hooked enough by the storyline.

Xeno had a one-night stand with all five fae while at a masque ball. They found in him someone who completes them all, and search for him only to find he’s the younger brother of someone they know.

Xeno can’t believe five gorgeous men would want or need him, but he doesn’t turn them down. He also seems to go from shy to tease with remarkable ease.

He agrees to move in with them when his ex-boyfriend turns up expecting to pick up where he left off. When he does Rex, the leader of the guardians, has what may be a bad feeling, but is just happy to have Xeno there.

The book ends at this point. Although there are questions about who and what Xeno and the guardians are, they story didn’t pull me in.

However, if you like fae, ménage, multiple partners, and lots of hot sex, this might be for you.

Review: An interesting concept to build an m/m romance around, the competing playwrights, and celebrations of the gods of ancient Greece. But, that’s about all I enjoyed from this story. It was a bit slow and kept losing my attention and that is a problem for a novella/short story. I just didn’t feel the heat between the two main characters, it was too forced, and the buildup to the final confrontation was weak.

Like I said, interesting concept, not quite successful on the execution.

Review: This book was hot and intense from the start and I enjoyed the harsh climates and dangers of the Australian Outback. The buildup between the two main characters was electric, steamy, and powerful. Sometimes gay-for-you storylines are hard to swallow, but two men, outcast and alone in such harsh environments for long periods of time…I can totally understand it.

The adventure and reveal of Mark’s run-in with the law was a bit fast, but for a short story/novella, I suppose that is necessary. My only complaint, and I know it really doesn’t deserve one, is that it ends too soon, to abruptly…makes me wonder what Mark and Jim’s future holds.

All in all, a fast paced, adventurous, sexually charged book! I’m looking forward to reading more from Jack Byrne!

Blurb: When Aaron refused to discuss getting married, he didn’t expect Chris to take it so poorly. They’ve been together twelve years. Aaron thought they’d at least talk about his very valid reasons. Gay marriage isn’t even legal in their state, and what do they need a piece of paper for, anyway? When Chris leaves after the fight, Aaron tracks Chris down just in time to see him about to lock lips with a stranger in a club, which drives home the situation’s urgency. Aaron must make things right with Chris. He’s willing to do anything, but their friends’ advice only goes so far, and when he learns what Chris has been hiding, Aaron has to decide if a life with Chris is even an option.

Review:  Aaron and Chris have been best friends and lovers since they were teenagers. Now grown and living together close to fifteen years, Chris is ready to take the next step. He wants marriage and family, he wants all that with Aaron. But Aaron doesn’t understand the urgency or the need for a piece of paper to define who they are. Hurtful words are said in anger and Chris packs up and leaves, apparently forever, and Aaron lets him… almost.

Aaron is stunned and heartbroken in the instant Chris slams the door. He floats through the next day and comes home to find Aaron has cleaned out his closet and left the key to their house. It takes some time, groveling and serious begging; but Aaron finally finds out where Chris is from a friend and goes to bring his man home. When he finds Chris at a bar dancing with someone else, it almost kills him. Chris is unwilling to listen to anything Aaron has to say until he sees the anguish reflected in Aaron’s eyes. He agrees to talk, but will it be enough to save their recently fragile relationship.

I Almost Let You is a story that is all about knowing what is important not only to you, but to your life partner as well. Relationships are all about give and take, and it’s the same for Chris and Aaron. They’ve spent close to half of their lives together, building a life and a foundation, and takes almost loosing Chris for Aaron to realize how important the little things are to his lover. The story jumps back and forth over the years that these two are together, and not in order, but Doyon is careful to list the exact time frame for each chapter so it is easy to follow along. The core content of the story is deep and dramatic as well. Chris’s family never understands and they are quite vocal about it, but the one constant in his life is always Aaron.

If you don’t mind the more serious subject matter and content, this is really a good short story. And the role reversal in the bedroom was a nice little twist to the storyline as well. You have to understand these two characters and really get to know them, their past, present and future before they get sexy. But it will all be worth it in the end.

Greed, power, and corruption…

Dr. David Stone knows Seven has a secret. Why else would his colleague, Dr. Radcliff, help Seven escape Sub-Floor?

It wasn’t the loss of a defective precog that bothered Stone, it was the fact Radcliff was willing to die to keep Stone from knowing why he did it. Or better yet, how.

Two men, one love, brought together by a series of impossible circumstances and destined by fate for an entangled future.

But maybe fate has nothing to do with it.

Review: Oh my God, when is the next installment coming? Thirteen’s gone missing for crying out loud, is he going to pair up with Twenty-three? Yeah I don’t know why I said that, it just made sense in my head. But seriously when is thirteen’s book coming? *Deep breath*
Okay, I’m all right now… I think.

As you might have understood from the above I not only loved this book, but I can’t wait for the next one, which, according to the author, will be out soon. As for this one, I don’t think I have the words to do it justice. The blurb is very good at giving you the main idea of the book. Human experiments, people created with enhanced powers and the sole purpose of being used for power and money. A loving doctor sacrificing his own life for the sake of one, whose talent is a secret best remain unveiled.

A chain of events set in motion seemingly coincidental lead to a love with ties unlike any other. A constant run trying to evade the set future and the ever-watching eyes. People being hounded at every corner. No one to trust. No one to turn to. Only one decision left. Fight! Fight for the chance to be free. Fight for the right to live. Fight against all odds against the unchangeable.

Yes, the story is fantastic, brilliant even, highly intriguing, and enthralling. The pace set makes it so that you can’t possibly put the book down. The action has you on your toes with a fast beating heart. You never stop caring, you never stop racing along with the story. The romance is remarkable as well, somewhere in between fate and will, it becomes so strong, the chemistry so great, you will love to read every single line of the pair. It’s beautiful, it’s sensual, it’s carnal, and its love to the point one would rather die to secure the wellbeing of the other.

I loved it, I loved all of it. I fell in love with the characters and not only Seven. Every one of them was remarkably developed. Seven, Nine, Chase, his father, the bad guy Stone, Three and Four, Thirteen, Twenty-three. I don’t know who to choose, they were all very well though and written. Each and every one of them unique, each and every one of them a reason to keep on reading. This is an extended novel, yet when it ended, I felt deeply sad for having this story end. I wanted more, no, I want more, and I want it now. I think this is one of those reads that will keep haunting my dreams, making me go back at this story over and over again until the next one comes along to soothe my craving. So very fascinating. I even felt bad for the bad guy dying. No, don’t misunderstand me. Stone was a mean son of a bitch, a complete sadist, but when the bad guy is well written and he dies, you have to wonder what know. Though after having read this book, I’m not, so sure I can take any single event at face value. People do tend to exist even if not truly alive.

So in the end there’s not much to say other than a huge recommendation for anyone who likes a nice action/suspense/conspiracy story, with a gorgeous romance woven in there, brilliant creativity and beautiful characters. Read it, you will not regret it and I bet you’ll have the most wonderful time doing so.

At first his intention, when Derek comes to him, is to kill him in secret and never let his pack get their hands on him, but that changes when he starts to feel things for him. Derek is an omega but actually comes off as a beta. He is strong-willed and fierce, but tender, kind and loving. He wants his mate and is willing to die to prove it. Jake is an alpha but to me he doesn’t seem to actually act like it. They are just the cutest couple ever and you actually cheer them on.

It doesn’t hurt that the sex is super hot too. When I come home from work, tired to the core and feeling a little down, I look for a book with a bit of humor and seriousness and lose myself into it. Marcy’s books always help me on days like that. I loved this story and cannot wait to read it again.

Review:  Again, this is light, fun, sexy fare.

We get reunited with characters Stravos, Nikos, and Yannis from Hands of Fate, when Stravos’ newly acquired sculpture becomes a gargoyle. Thankfully, Stravos has his buddy Nikos to help him figure things out, because while he is trying to bond with his soulmate/beloved Xander, the Brotherhood is after them! A secret society to stop the existence of gargoyles like Xander. Stravos’ fabulously protective assistant also has a beloved sent his way too!

There is adventure, time travel, stone gargoyles turned hot passionate flesh, murder attempts, and so much more wild and crazy plotting. Not a deep read, but a fun read.

Review: This series just keeps getting better and better!

Colin has been laying low with his lovers after the last revelation he had from his ex-friend Pete. He seems to be going through more physical changes but doesn’t have Pete to confide in any more. He can’t go to Mikey or Sasha; though Mikey knows part of the problems, he doesn’t know everything. Sasha seems to be pulling away because Colin won’t confide in him. Pete comes, makes Colin return to work on the set, and sends him on yet another mission. This one turns out to not be as easy as Colin thought and he worries about the consequences it will have on his lovers.

There are a couple twists in here and Colin and Mikey start to delve into some BDSM. The sex is hot as usual and I love the new characters that are introduced in this book.

If you like BDSM, voyeurism, Incubus, and demons and lots and lots of hot sex this is for you!

Blurb:  You can’t go home again—that was Nick’s motto for the past twenty years. He was a teenager when he and his mom left his mentally ill and abusive father back in Lacland, a small town in the north woods of Wisconsin. Since those horrible days, Nick’s made a life for himself as an artist in New York, and has a new show scheduled in nine months. He should be in a painting frenzy, but so far, he’s hanging empty canvas. Then comes the call—his estranged father has killed himself. Nick flies to Lacland, to a house crumbling from years of neglect and one very fat bulldog.

Jonas doesn’t love his job as a research lab veterinarian, although he enjoys volunteering on his boyfriend’s canine behavioral studies. But when he discovers his so-called life partner is messing around, Jonas leaps at a job offer in a small town miles away.

Despite the grief swirling around Nick and Jonas, their first meeting is electric. But Nick’s in town for only a short time, while Jonas is still stinging from the recent betrayal. The men try to keep their distance, but that’s easier said than done, especially in a small town where misery and hope share the same address…

Review: The m/m genre is littered with many books about hot men and fluff, and I love those as much as anyone else does.  BUT, every now and again, there is a book that simply stands out from the rest. Nobody’s Home is one of those books.  It’s not just a story, it’s a novel.  Everything that is right about a story is achieved in this book.  The author spends the first quarter of the book simply exploring the lives and characters of Nick and Jonas.  We get to know these men before they ever meet. By the time they meet, the reader is now thoroughly invested in these two men finding each other, because we know, like and understand these men.

The relationship between the two men is so much more than simply hot sex, which let’s be honest, they do have.  For Nick who’s lost his father and is feeling professionally adrift, the friendship he develops with Jonas provides him with an anchor and the realization that his life is rife with possibilities, if he’s willing to be open to them.  There is a subtle strength to Nick that is not first apparent because he’s struggling with his grief and personal angst.  For Jonas who’s questioning his worth as a man and a life partner, Nick provides him with much-needed honesty, validation of his worth and proof that he is a valuable person who is worthy of both love and friendship.

The story is beautifully written and elegantly told. What starts out as a character sketch of two imperfect men then becomes a dance of friendship and then the slow trek towards love. There is a slow build, which is sexy and seductive in its own way. The reader is moved seamlessly along the journey and because they are so intimately knowledgeable about these men, the reader shares in their joy, sadness, disappointment and even their fear. The reader has a bird’s eye view of the very real struggle both men must go through with their own personal demons if they are to create a life together.

Readers will fall in love with Nick.  Like a good artist, he is willing to lay his feelings bare and it is this vulnerability that will win him the love of Jonas, a man who fears any further pain and rejection in his life.

The end of the book is sublime and I’m sure many readers may find themselves wiping away a tear. It was sweet and very tender.  Every page of this story is a revelation and it’s one of those stories that the reader will revisit time and time again.

EXCELLENT READ.

Blurb: When Grant answers the phone at work, he has no idea what he’s in for. His wife, Brooke, is hot – and she lets him know exactly how hot she is. At home with the well-built, well-hung, eager a/c repairman, she makes sure the heat gets turned up to pure steam – and all Grant can do is sit in his office and listen.
He has plans for later, though. Grant loves giving his wife exactly what she craves, but he also misses doing the same to hot, sexy men. Once Grant gets home, that repairman will find that he’s not the only one with the right tool to do the job.
Grant can’t wait. With any luck, the repairman might use his own tool to “adjust” Grant, too. In fact, all three of them should be in for some very lascivious fun. The kind that makes it hurt to sit for a while.

Book one of the “Fun with Brooke & Grant” series.

Brief Encounters: a club where men go to have anonymous sex with other men. Grant decides to frequent the place once his wife, Brooke, convinces him he has total sexual freedom. He’s always liked it both ways.
Dale, his intern, joins the club to get his sexual frustration sated. He has a thing for his boss, and the heat it causes him to feel almost burns him up inside. Unfortunately, Grant doesn’t seem to reciprocate those lustful feelings.
Grant does want Dale, though. In fact, he thinks about it way too often. That’s one reason he’s decided to head to Brief Encounters. Maybe a good session there will make his mind forget the decadently sinful looking Dale.
They both find what they want at the club—without ever knowing, the other was their partner. After all, what would be the odds of that happening? One thing’s for certain. Neither will be able to get the other out of their mind—even if they don’t know exactly who the talented man was on the other side of the wall.

Book two of the “Fun with Brooke & Grant” series.

Review: So I was reading this short erotica – I’m talking about Booty Call – and when I finished I wanted to immediately grab the second book and read it in one go as if it was one long story instead of two shorts. So, when time came to write the review I thought it’d be much better to merge them into one review as well. So here it goes:

This is a series titled Fun with Brooke and Grant and that’s exactly what it is; Fun and highly erotic reading of the adventures of this couple. Brooke is quite a horny woman and despite being married to Grant who appears to be quite a man, she simply isn’t satisfied with routine. I have to admit that she unnerved me a bit, what with Grant never even thinking of cheating on her yet she freely helped herself to a penis in near vicinity quite often. However, it was made clear that she is an open-minded woman and she wants her husband to be one as well, open-minded that is not woman. Also knowing her husband is bisexual, she really wants him to have fun and not miss certain things she can’t provide.

What I liked about this story was the fact that you don’t see much inner dialogue justifying what the characters are doing or thinking. The lack of reasoning things to death made it the most enjoyable part of the read for me.

So Booty Call is just that, a call for a tech to fix the air-condition turns into a hot blowing leading into a call to hubby to make him hot and bothered with the visuals of what happened and what will, making said hubby go nearly mad – not with jealousy – and making him hurry back home to find the wife and her young, delectable repairman and practically join in the fun.

Hot, erotic to the point of screaming Oh my Gosh, and with a couple of surprises, one that leads to the next installment and one that ends this interlude in a most whoa-what-happened-here way.

Yes, if you’re a fan of m/f/m ménage this little short with turn you on and make you crave for more.

p.s.:

I did not like how the m/m scenes turned to be. For some reason they were a bit brutal as if the author wanted to make a point that m/f is soft while men can take it. Hmmm, it cost this story a star or two from my bag.

Brief Encounters is a private – really private – club where men join in order to anonymously have sex. Now I’m sure anyone who’s reading this review knows pretty well, what Glory Holes are. Imagine that but don’t restrict your fantasy to mouth only usage, expand it to anal too. A small hole on a wall, on one side a beautiful peachy… rear, and on the other a gorgeous, eager penis. The possibilities are endless, the fun more so and the feeling of being used and abused skyrocket and makes you fly.

If you read the first short then you remember Dale, the young redheaded intern who has a crush on Grant. Here you will see how both Grant and Dale’s fantasies are fulfilled but neither of them really knows it. Makes me wonder if they will ever find out. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t, but you never know what the future will bring.

As with the first short though I still have that same feeling that the male/male encounters in this series are meant to be uncharacteristically brutal. If those fantasies do it for you then you will not be disappointed, because frankly this short was hot. But if you have a problem with rough, tough, hard sex and/or cheating well, then you might want to reconsider.

As for me the crass, crude words and descriptions, the animalistic passion that defined this erotic short, was good enough and I enjoyed the heck out of it.

Review: If you like good erotica, Liz Borino is the master. Both of these authors take sex scenes to a new level. This story has sex all through it, but it never seems to get old or felt like porn on pare. It’s seamless and so sensual and erotic. Even the BDSM is just enough to make you squirm and swoon it is definitely not vanilla BDSM like a light tap on the butt or just hands over your head. This delves into the D/s lifestyle and club though the main characters have their own spin on the lifestyle.

There is some mystery and intrigue and again this doesn’t upstage the romance and erotic vibe of these stories yet adds another layer of depth and emotion to the characters involved.

I was absolutely shocked at a twist near the end with Drew and Alex. I most definitely did not see this one coming, well actually shocked by two things near the end and the very end with these two.  I can’t wait for the next book.

If you like erotica, movie stars, club owners, screen-writers, BDSM, knife play, wax play, suspension, bondage, D/s, teenage love, cute babies, sweet dogs and cats and some pretty hot yet sensual mansex this is for you!

Review: Oh my God, what a disturbing, distressing, and utterly frustrating read. I finished this yesterday, slept through the night thinking about it, and still feel frustrated with so many things. I know half of them were intentional from the authors to awaken reactions, but I fear, what made the worse impact with me was not deliberate. You got no idea what I’m talking about right? Let’s see:

This is the story of eighteen-year-old Scott who’s lived a sheltered life, the life his parents has dictated for him. He’s been homeschooled, kept away from society, literally a prisoner of his parent’s whims. Through sheer luck, Scott gains access to internet and a new world opens in front of his eyes. He is naïve, beyond anything you might have as a comparison, but I was okay with that, it happens and when a child is in that manner abused, it is probably a norm.
In his naivety, Scott falls pray of a man from England, who buys him an A’ class ticket there. And after being nearly desperate to get away from his parent clutches, Scott finds himself on a plane and in a new country across the ocean.

Cringe-worthy I ensure you and this is only the beginning scene. The story itself is not so much explicit, it doesn’t affect you with horrors or cruelty per se, and it’s rather the what-could-have-been that makes you reel from it.

At the airport, Scott is not claimed by Jeff, the guy who told him he loved him. He sits there in near panic thinking over and over how not worthy he is, how no one wants him, no one will ever take care of him, and how no one will love him enough to care. Yes, you got it right. This character suffers from a huge deal of low self-esteem. He is prime victim material. Honestly, I didn’t very much like him. He was so, so needy and the fact that the phrase “he needs a keeper” was repeated more than twice in the book makes you understand just how much this character needs. Yes, in the long go he rises, blooms, and flourishes, but still Scott never made a lasting impression to me. I don’t think I ever found this one the least lovable. Nevertheless, he was quite developed as a character and the initial impression (it was NOT favorable) did change for me by the end of the story.

Now, what happened to Scott is that Ben showed up. Ben works as a bar tender at Collars and Cuffs, and is a Dom in training. He also is in the middle of so, so many things. He pays for his mother’s health care, pays for his sister, pays for himself… All he seems to do is pay around and never making ends meet. Ben has just said his goodbyes to his sister at the airport when he notices Scott’s distressed appearance. The Dom in him awakens and feels the need to help the poor creature, and so he does, taking him back at the club and together with Leo and Thomas, they take it upon them to help the needy boy. But of course, Scott will have to stay with Ben.

So, you see where the story goes and how the beginning of feelings/emotions will happen. There are aspects of the story that did so not sit well with me. One is the fact that Scott is a virgin. Totally a virgin… For me that fact is huge, because at some point he decides that he is submissive (that was obvious the way the story went) and he trains for one even as he’s still a virgin. His virginity is not downplayed though; it’s rather a huge deal and takes a big, big part of the plot/scene there. But still it somehow unnerved me, the blend of submission/virginity. I could not picture it. I simply read it and was trying to wrap my head around it. In the end, I did wrap my head around it, and whew, did I like the result. It was hot, surreal, but hot.

Ben though, while he made one heck of an impression to me, managed not only to fail, but also to really, really piss me off as a character. I think this was the one weak (really weak) point of this book, the fact that this main character did not manage to redeem himself in my eyes. Perhaps the authors though it would be enough for him to go claim Scott like a knight in shining armor, but no. Just. No.
In my eyes Ben is, was, and will be a bloody idiot of a man. The trust was broken, not once, not twice, but goddamn it, what freaking trust? He was one lucky son of a bitch to have such a naïve and needy boy, because a more seasoned sub would have dumped him to the curb. I wondered how the hell Thomas (his trainer) let him go with the shit he pulled. Ben was effectively the chinking link. He never managed to make a connection with me, and the frustration he caused me, dear me, I’m still breathing heavily from all that. He should not have gotten what he got, the jerk.

Yeah, excuse my rant. I thought I had relaxed enough today to be able to write this without seeing red with Ben. Apparently, I’m not. Authors, I really hate this character of yours.

Overall, it was a very nice book, quite enjoyable. The writing was easy in the eyes, the pace flowed like silk, and even though the characters frustrated me, the story itself held my interest throughout the read. The erotic scenes such as they were, heh, they appealed to me a lot. I found the edging a bit surreal mind you, because he was a virgin and come on, there is no way a young boy not trained to hold his orgasm, could possibly hold his orgasm like that, but damn, it was so, so hot anyway. And fun, yeah, when things finally took their path, the story became quite fun as well.

So, do I recommend it? Yep, I do. Bear in mind all the above and if you’re fans of the genre you might find this read as enjoyable as I did. Just don’t let Ben’s stupidity catch off guard. God that character. *groans*

Review: I have said it once but it bears repeating that I love books with imagination, true feelings, and believable story lines.

Marcy has an amazing gift of telling stories. This is an amazing story. I love the mixture of danger, excitement, and humor. I also love the characters because they come off so believable. Not only are they extremely hot and sexy but they have the strengths and weaknesses that all couples need to be perfect together.

Alexander has been alone since his lover betrayed him and almost all of his pack died. He as you would expect is wary of others especially someone who is his mate. Fear of being hurt again and being betrayed makes it hard to trust his mate. I can understand the need to protect oneself from being betrayed by someone who claims to love you. This story just comes off so real to me, which made it even better than most. Alexander is insecure with himself, but he is tender, gentle, and loving to his mate. Bellamy is what I would call a twink, really cute, sweet, and caring with just a hint of attitude. They have their normal troubles, and not so normal troubles but they overcome them to make their relationship stronger.

It doesn’t hurt that the sex between them is amazingly hot and so damn sexy. I just fan myself when I read about all the different ways they have it. I even blush at some parts. It captured my attention from the get go what with the danger and excitement and kept my attention all the way to the end.

I will definitely be reading it more and more. I cannot wait to read the next book. I absolutely loved it.
