Shawn Maples is a handsome slayer who is dying of cancer. Master Dominic, sexy leader of the vampire coven is stunned when he realizes Shawn is his mate and a slayer. Shawn tracks a rogue vampire to a theater where he kills him and is injured in the process. Dominic asks if he can turn him to save his life from the cancer slowly killing him.
Shawn denies him but does drink his blood after being satisfied by him. Waking up much later Shawn is disgusted with himself. He goes home where he is confronted by his brother Luke who throws him out after finding out he drank Dominic’s blood. Not having anywhere to go, Shawn heads to his favorite lake where Dominic finds him. In the middle of their conversation, gunfire erupts. Dominic wishes Shawn away and gets him out of there as he questions him how they knew where he was. They determine he’s being tracked by the GPS in his cell phone.
Once they arrive at Dominic’s house Shawn asks Dominic to turn him. After Shawn is turned, he begins to fight with Dominic. Shawn goes hunting with Dominic and afterward at home they talk to Melvin, another vampire, and find out Shawn’s father wants him dead and that the rogue vampires from the west coast that they killed may not be rogues as they were missing from their coven’s and the sabb caught them and they got away.
Shawn’s dad tips his arrows with various substances so they think that vampires are being turned temporally rogue to let others kill them. Melvin is taken by Shawn’s brothers as a trap to get them. In the ensuing battle, both Luke and Hanley are killed but Luke is turned by Shawn and another vampire Vincenzo agrees to be his master. Melvin disappears with Hanley. Melvin returns with Hanley alive and reveals he’s his mate. Shawn’s father disappears along with the other sabbs.
Intriguing vampire story with drama, mystery, and action all throughout this wonderfully written book. The sex scenes were hot and intense.

This was an amazing story. Each book in this series I have a feeling will focus on a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, we recommend reading the series in sequential order. It keeps me from getting a bit lost in the stories and gives me an insight in to their world. A world that captured my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end.
I love the way each character just mixes with the others. How fast they are to defend what is theirs and what they believe. This story has quite a bit of a twist to it. It seems to have a dark tone to it. I admit I wasn’t so sure about it, but once I started reading, I just couldn’t seem to stop.
Shaw was a vampire hunter, although he seems to go after only the rogues unlike the rest of his family. However, he has one thing they don’t and it is what changes his feelings. He is dying of cancer and just wants to take out the powerful Dominic. A powerful vampire that he had grown up knowing he killed anyone and everyone he comes across. He was told by his family that Dominic killed his grandparents. What he learns is the exact opposite and he is in for a big surprise.
Dominic is the leader of his coven and he also kills rogues. He comes to kill a newly turned rogue, but what he finds is one sexy little slayer. A slayer that is his mate. He knows he is dying from cancer and the only way to save his is to change him and mate him. He is a bit feisty and argues about it all but he soon realizes Dominic is telling the truth. Now between the dangers of his family and the lust he feels he is totally lost. He has fallen in love with the big, bad vampire. And he loves every minute of it.
This was a good story a bit strange but once you start reading, it you won’t be able to put it down. It captured my attention and I cannot wait to read book two. It gives you two sexy men, vampires, vampire slayers, excitement, adventure, action, and danger. Well it gives you that and so much more.
I would recommend reading this book just for the fact that it has sexy vampires in it. You will fall in love with the guys just as I did and that doesn’t even count the way the whole story just flows together.

Fresh out of boot camp and trying to get as far away from Army territory, Thomas soon meets Jacob, the only other recruit from their class. They quickly become aware of the attraction that connects them, deciding to spend the rest of the week enjoying the alone time they have left.
While this is not an amazing story (there are many and glaring plot holes and mistakes), nothing bad can be said of Adams’ writing. The author is quick to engage the reader, if not for the story itself than for the amazing description of the sex scene. That being said, I give 2.5 Hearts to this book, because I feel that while it’s not good (it’s not bad either), the writing really was the breaking point for me.

Review: This is book five in this amazing series and they need to be read in order. Each character shows up in the earlier books and you learn more about their world. You would think when you start reading it that it would have a serious tone about it and it does but it has more humor in it. The characters that these two amazing authors have come up with will draw you in and have you falling in love. They fight hard but seem to love even harder.
I wasn’t too sure they wouldn’t kill each other before getting to the good stuff. In this world, vampires and werewolves don’t mix really well. They are always trying to destroy the other. In this, you have a vampire who is falling for a werewolf. Van had been on a very strange date with Sy, that is until Sy gets himself kidnapped. Van is determined to find the man. However, he is intercepted by Fang, first thinking he had something to do with it, he finds out that this man is many things but not what one would think.
Fang is like a secret agent. He works for the same people as Van but there is a hint that he just might work for more than just him. Especially when they are trying to get their hands on him. He is just supposed to do this mission, but Van keeps getting in his way. Then Fang realizes that he likes the fact that Van keeps getting into his way. The man turned him on faster than any one had ever been able to. Now all he has to do is to keep them both alive.
I loved this book, but then again when you have Stormy and Lynn giving you a story you can bet that your attention will be caught for good. It captured my attention from the moment I opened the book and kept it all the way to the end. I love that this book gives me two very sexy men, a vampire, a werewolf, quirky friends, dangerous allies, vicious enemies, excitement, adventure and a bit of danger.
I would recommend reading this book because you will not be disappointed in it. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. It gave me everything I could have wanted in it and so much more.

Review: This is book one in this amazing series. I would start with this story because it will tell you about the upcoming characters for future books and it gives you an insight into their world. A world that captured my heart with the first paragraph. It is a world of wolf shifters and many more. They go through the change in their mid-twenties. If they don’t mate before changing then they will forever stay in their animal form. It was thought, from Chandler’s words that they had to mate with other alphas and beta’s. However it was not so.
Bane was getting so fed up with his older brother going on and on about the change and how if he didn’t mate he would not stay human. So what does a wolf with attitude do, he takes off running so he can get away from his brother. On that run he comes across a very sexy man.
He could tell that Felix wasn’t telling him the whole truth about why he was in the woods injured. He could tell that something or someone was after him. He also knew that Felix was the man he wanted as his mate. The only problem there was Felix was human. Or so he thought, that is until Felix tells him that he is actually half shifter.
Felix was driving his brother’s car when he realizes he is being followed.
After the first bump from the other car he knew he was in danger. After crashing he takes off running, only to end up falling and getting knocked out. He wakes up to a gorgeous alpha looking down at him. He wanted Bane more than he wanted any other man in his life. However his thoughts kept coming back to the fact that he was being chased.
This book was amazing and I absolutely loved it. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book. I have found another new favorite author and cannot wait to check out the rest of Jordan’s books out. It gave me two very sexy men, shifters, passion and fire, feisty mates, crazy brothers, excitement, adventure, action and dangerous situations. I cannot wait to tell everyone about this new book.

Since I have already read the Deliver Us series and Whatever The Cost I had previous knowledge of the characters that we read about here. I think if you already know them, as I do, then this was a bonus being able to go back and see where the guys came from and what their life was beforehand. If you haven’t read the series then you are getting first-hand knowledge to their lives and the struggles they have endured giving you more insight as you go into the series. It works fine either way. No matter how you choose the order of your reading, it still is a sweet addition to the storylines. First up is:
EXPECTED LIES – Darrek and Kyle are best friends in high school and it is time for prom. Darrek is excited about going and is trying hard to convince Kyle to go with him. Of course, what Darrek doesn’t know is Kyle already knows he likes boys instead of girls. He can’t find a way to break the news to his best friend so he makes up a few lies to go around the issue. He has someone lined up to spend the evening with. He can’t help it if Darrek assumes it’s a girl.
Back at the prom, however, Darrek realizes he should have stayed with his best friend. These kids will come and go but he will always have his friend. Darrek finds that even after 2 years Gabriel can still bring him to his knees, literally, with a look or a simple word. To keep from going stagnant within their relationship Gabriel tries to help Darrek come to terms with some of his hang-ups. Public viewing being one of them, but Gabriel has a plan, one he feels sure will help Darrek step out in front of all the eyes on the island. Of course, what goes around comes around. Darrek will get his time as well when they trade off positions. Will Darrek be able to do what Gabe wants him to do? He is struggling with the scene Gabriel has laid out for him. This will take all of his courage if he goes through with it. It also could strengthen their relationship, something they need desperately. Will Darrek go through with Gabe’s plan, and if he does, how will he get back at Gabriel for putting him in such an embarrassing situation?
ESCAPE– In this story, we have the previous lives of Jacen and Liam who we got to know in Whatever the Cost. Liam convinces Jacen to tell him about his abusive and torturous past. They both go under new names and identity now that they have moved on but to go back into that world, even just in their minds, is a hard thing to do.
Travis, now Jacen, back at home in his mind, tells of the struggles and mind games he had to endure as a teenager. All to the horrible, demeaning actions of his neighbour. Afraid for himself, his brother, and his family, Travis goes along with the abuse thinking he is saving the others. It was hard reading this, as no one wants to experience or be a witness to this type of sickness. However, Travis experienced it, lived it, and was brave enough to do something about it, therefore, making me want to be there for his journey. Liam is there, holding him tightly, as he subjects himself, once again, to that time in his life. He is a very brave, smart, and kind soul who, with the help of his beautiful and wonderful Liam, can now move on with his life and the future they make for themselves, together.
TRICK AND TRUTH– This story follows along with Avery and Timothy and their time in the foster care system. The boys are young and pretty much have to take care of themselves. The foster parents are in it for the money and very seldom see to the care or needs of the boys. Timothy is quite sick and not able to get out of bed often. Avery knows he needs medicine and the only way he can think to get it for him is prostituting himself for money. How hard could it be? His housemate, Jimmy, does it all the time. So with some of Jimmy’s make up and his wardrobe, Avery sets out to do what he feels he has no other choice, and that is to save Timmy, whatever the cost may be to him.
Avery succeeds in getting medicine but Timmy questions him profusely about how he was able to get it. It’s tearing him up thinking Avery may have done something horrible on his behalf. Avery cannot bring himself to tell what he went through, even though it will haunt him, to get the much needed medicine. He knows right now, with Jimmy’s failing health, it is better to lie than to upset him.
Will Avery convince him he didn’t do anything inappropriately to get the medicine? If Timmy doesn’t take the medicine, he will only get worse and that is something Avery cannot deal with. He cannot lose his Timmy, even if he has to lie.
BETWEEN HERE AND THERE – The boys have aged out of the foster care system and are now on their own. Avery and Jimmy struggle to make ends meet but they are in it together, no matter what happens. Avery is having a hard time keeping thoughts at bay as he continually remembers seeing Timmy with other guys. He even allows him to take a picture of him blissed out after incredible sex for his own. Something he can keep and look at. He definitely doesn’t want anyone else to see it, but Timmy thinks differently.
Avery feels it is important for both of them to start using condoms. Timmy has put them in some bad situations so to keep things from getting worse. He hands over a condom for Timmy to use. They both know what the other is thinking but he puts it on anyway. He will do whatever is necessary to protect the person that means more to him than anything.
Lynn Kelling has put together seven stories to further complete her Deliver Us series and Whatever the Cost. She has given us a deeper insight into all the characters’ lives and the struggles they faced getting away and into a better life. I don’t normally read anthologies, mainly because I like longer, stories that are more involved. However, for me, this was a must read.
It is a remarkable gift when an author gives us more history to go along with the stories we already love so much. I have really enjoyed going through each one of these and having some questions answered and basically getting to know each one on a deeper level. Lynn has created many amazing and beautiful characters within her series and to have a chance to only increase what we already know was quite a bonus.
As I mentioned earlier, if you haven’t read the main stories already, having this beforehand will only give you a much better understanding of where they are now. Lynn Kelling is an incredible author who devotes a lot of herself, her time, and research to give us the best she can in her books. You only have to read one to figure that out. So, if you haven’t read any, I would strongly encourage you to go for it. If you have read her books, again I would strongly encourage you to pick up this anthology and savour it, like fine wine, for the gift it is.

Review: I was fascinated with this story. It is the first book in this series and it really should be the first book you read. This story has a futuristic tone to it and shows you what life could be like. There had been a virus that made many sterile, but Jack and his wife had managed to have a son. His wife was a scientist who thought at first that she was helping the world but found out that what she was doing was in fact making super soldiers. She knew that it was wrong and died trying to turn it right.
Adonis was one of the super soldiers that they were making. She had died saving his life. She had managed to give him all of her memories and he had to find answers. He knew what was going on and what was going to happen but he didn’t know who he had been before they used him. He went in search of her husband to see if there were answers. What he had found also was Craig. Craig was Jack’s brother and a man that he wanted.
Craig wanted Adonis also and he knew there were questions that needed to be asked. However once he found out he wasn’t too sure he wanted to know. He did know that he wanted this man and would help him no matter what danger comes for them.
I loved this book and cannot wait to get my hands on the next one. The idea that the government can actually make super soldiers is fascinating. I love the way it brings out the strength in each man. Although what they go through is not so fascinating.
I would recommend reading this story. It gives you sexy men, crazy scientist, a hint of kink in the bedroom, a paranormal tone, excitement, action, passion and fire, hot sex and danger. It gave me that and so much more. There is just a hint of humor in the story but other than that it has a mystical way about it. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. This story gave me what I needed. A little story to relax and enjoy.

This was an amazing story. Each book focus on a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, we recommend reading the series in sequential order. It keeps me from getting a bit lost in the stories and gives me an insight in to their world. A world that captured my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. I love the way each character just mixes with the others. How fast they are to defend what is theirs and what they believe. This story has quite a bit of a twist to it. It seems to have a dark tone to it. I admit I wasn’t too sure about it, but once I started reading, I just couldn’t seem to stop.
Luke was a hateful, vengeful, aggressive, cruel and a sick human being. He hated gay men and he absolutely hated vampires. So when he was dying his little brother changed him. He didn’t ask him and in fact went against what he would have chosen. Here he was stuck with a vampire master and a vampire himself. The thing is one of the older vampires found out a truth, a truth that none of them had none. First, he was to be fixed, after Vincenzo kept him thalled. He was in fact a kidnapped child. A child born from a vampire. Also, when he was ill he told Vincenzo things he never told anyone before. The man he thought was his father had abused him and a brain injury was impeding he focus. He found out that he had been lied to all his life, so when he was calmer he could see that the vampires were not like what he was told. He also found out that he loved being with Vincenzo, although he wasn’t planning on telling him.
Vincenzo had fallen in love with his mate. When he looked in his eyes, there was the glimmer, telling him that this slayer was his life mate. A mate that seemed not to want anything to do with him. A mate that seemed to fight him at every turn. To find out that he was not truly human before he was turned into a vampire was a surprise. Shouldn’t be, Luke and his brothers were unique to say the least. Then the threats were coming for them in even more disturbing ways. Now to keep his mate and his friends safe. What did surprise him was the way Luke behaved when he thought Vincenzo was going to die. Maybe Luke did love him the same way.
I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book. This turned out to be one heck of a good surprise. It has characters that I fell in love with, sexy men, vampires, feisty and head strong mates, lots of danger coming at them and a twisted man who raised them. The story itself was amazing. The way it was told had me fascinated and my attention captured. I loved it and cannot wait to read the next book. It caught my attention with the first paragraph and kept it all the way to the end. Vincenzo informs, Shawn, Hanley, Dominic, and Melvin that Luke is not taking to being turned into a vampire. Not knowing what else to do he asks Vanessa to help, when that doesn’t work she informs the patriarchs as to what has happened. The patriarchs summon them all to a meeting. Master Geoffrey informs everyone that Luke, Shawn, and Hanley are dhampir children that were stolen by the Sabbatarians many years ago.
The patriarchs ask for their help in eliminating Maples before he gathers an army to wipe everyone out. Dominic remembers what the ancient prophecy says about the three dhimpri’s turned vampire bonding with their masters to be called the six. As long as they stand together, they will be able to destroy the evil and bring in a new age.
Well written and a fantastic read. Loved the details. The sex between the three couples was hot.

Review: FAST FRIENDS is just another of Dale Lazarov’s beautiful masterpieces, once again in collaboration with illustrator Michael Broderick. It tells the story of two ordinary men in unhappy “relationships”, who meet and, as the title says, become fast friends. Soon after, they can’t resist the pull and give in to their attraction, changing each other’s lives. And the genius of this story is that not a single word is used.
The reader is guided only by Broderick’s subtle and powerful creations, leaving details such as names and conversations, to the reader’s imagination. Each panel is detailed to perfection to make the characters seem life-like, their facial expressions and actions perfectly in tune. One example is the first and last sex scenes. While the first scene is drawn in a way that allows the reader to immediately see that something is wrong, the last one is intimate, sexy and touching.
Lazarov and Broderick’s FAST FRIENDS is definitely worth buying.

Alex has tried hard to go unnoticed, keep his head down and not get attached to anyone or anything. He didn’t anticipate one Ridley Corbin swaying his way into his life though. Now he can’t get enough of him, he’s addicted to Ridley’s smile, that laugh that makes his heart melt and the man is absolutely, completely submissive to him in bed. Alex pushes every barrier, seemingly trying to push Ridley away, but he just keeps coming back for more. When Alex’s past shows up on his door step, locked, loaded and shooting holes in his door, Alex finds himself willing to do anything to protect the man he tried so hard not to get attached to.
This book was just so much fun I can’t even tell you. The way the characters play off each other is hysterical. Ridley is what you might call a power bottom, until he met Alex. The way Alex takes charge, tells him what to do, bends him, and throws him where he wants him. Ridley is completely out of his element the first time around, but the experience is so literally mind-blowing that he can’t not go back for more. And the sex is rough, off the charts white-hot and steamy. I mean, a term of endearment for Alex is “grab hold of the head-board, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!” or “I’m going to fuck you until you see stars!” but my personal favourite was when I was inside Ridley’s head while Alex is lining up, ready to drive it home and all Ridley was thinking was, “He’s not just going to fuck me through the mattress, he’s going to fuck me through the floorboard.”
But there is an underlying story here that goes way beyond the sexual aspect. Alex has a dangerous secret that Ridley becomes privy too in a deadly way. They wind in very close quarters, relying on only each other for their safety, and the bond between them only grows stronger. It truly was a wild ride watching them first fight it, then fall madly in love with each other. I think that the title, BAMF, stands for Bad Ass Mother Fucker… because that is exactly what Alex is. But don’t count Ridley out just yet. Alex wouldn’t be a badass captain without his first mate.
If you love stories that make you laugh out loud, my ribs hurt laugh out loud, with some fantastic chemistry between the two male leads, then this is a must read. Snarky, dry, witty, sexy and just a little bit dangerous. Well worth the read!

Review: This is a very good book set in the old west. Let me clarify my heat rating. There is quite a bit of sex, but to me it wasn’t overly descriptive and well done, so I chose moderate. I thought it was very hot, yet sensual, even though some of the sex is very hungry.
The story is about Will a young gay man and his best friend Annie.
Will is from a good ranching family. His brother has been injured in the war and is getting married the other brother is expecting, his father is dead and his mother is courting. He is made aware at His brother’s wedding that he will be expected to marry very soon and one of the town daughters has her eye on him.
Annie and he have been friends forever. Her father is abusing her, so she runs to Will and they meet up in the barn a lot where he also has a secret stash of porn he’ secretly inherited’ from a deceased uncle. Annie knows he is gay and asks him to marry her and run off so she can get away. When he realizes the other girl is going to pursue him he accepts his best friends offer and they head to Nebraska to work on a farm, Annie has already sent letters to.
There he meets Henry and sparks fly. A neighbouring rancher is trying to take the owner’s ranch and one night steps in, sets fire, and kills the owner, sending Will Henry and Annie fleeing. This sets in motions a lot of interesting twists and turns.
I absolutely loved this story. I loved the old west feel and felt as if I was sucked back in time. Once you start, you won’t want to stop until it’s done! I found it a real page-turner. The characters were very interesting too. I loved how Annie, though abused was strong and a take charge girl even though her plans really got them into trouble. I loved the chemistry and sex between Will and Henry.
I highly recommend this if you like old west setting, historical western romance, robbers, ranchers, strong women characters (no girly bits it is an mm story), twists and turns, and some steamy man-sex.

The old adage about Sand working its way into every crevice, takes on an entirely new meaning in this short story!
This was just a fast, fun read full of old world prim and proper verbiage. The dialogue is all about elegance and the backdrop is the sand dune desert of Egypt. Charles would rather be anywhere but here. He hates the desert, the camels and especially the sand. But he does enjoy Andrew, and hopes that their simple stares and quiet touches will lead to something more.
This isn’t one of those short, steamy stories as the two are just getting to know each other at the end. But enough of a story was told to wet my appetite, and I hope to see more for Charlie and Andrew in the future.

I thought this was going to be a cookie cutter “gay-for-you” read. But Felice Stevens did an excellent job revealing the activation of Jason’s latent gay genes. He knew something was missing in his hetero relationships, but hadn’t found anyone to catch, much less hold his attention…until Ryder.
Literally, from their first meeting, Jason is drawn to Ryder. Unfortunately, Ryder is still licking his wounds from a failed relationship, and is not in the mood to be some straight guy’s “experiment.”
I really can’t call this a sweet romance, cuz it is uber hot. When Jason and Ryder finally get hot and heavy, they get nice and dirty. 😉 Felice did an excellent job developing their relationship. Friends and family’s reactions to their relationship were realistic and really added to the story. My twisted mind actually enjoys when not all threads lead to happily ever afters.
This is my first Felice Stevens read, but will assuredly not be my last.

Lynn is one of my top favorite authors of all time. She gives you characters that will have you falling in love with and a world that will captivate you. A world that I would love to lose myself into.
Taylor had once thought he was in love but he had found himself in a situation that could have cost him his life. His ex-boyfriend Todd had been him nearly to death. Now afraid to try again, he was shocked to find that he is attracted to Sam.
Sam is a bear shifter and thinks that he has found his mate. The only way he can be sure is if Taylor becomes pregnant. However, his little mate was afraid of trusting him. His ex was a bear shifter and when he found out Sam was all hell breaks loose. Sam will do everything in his power to protect the man he has fallen in love with. Meeting Taylor has Sam wanting a lot of things in life and it would seem that Taylor wants the same. Taylor has a pack of bears to protect him this time as well as his best friend.
I love the fact that in these books the males mates can actually become pregnant. It gives me something to really laugh about. Although in this one, there is just a hint and a twist of something different. I love when a story just gives me everything I want. It gave me two sexy men, a dangerous situation, a little quirky mate with a horrible past, a fierce protector, bear shifters, and a touch of excitement.
I cannot wait for the next book to come out. I will be sitting on pins and needles till it does. It will capture your attention from the moment you start reading it and keep it all the way to the end.

Review: This was an amazing story. Each book in the Dark Hollow Wolf Pack Series focuses on a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, we recommend reading the series in sequential order. It keeps me from getting a bit lost in the stories and gives me an insight in to their world. A world that captured my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. I love the way each character just mixes with the others. How fast they are to defend what is theirs and what they believe.
Logan was a hunter, always believing what he had been taught. That the wolves were only animals and attacked humans. There were many other things that he had been taught, but once he was captured by them, he was slowly changing his mind. In his cell a big man comes to him, thinking that he was going to be tortured boy was he in for a surprise. To save his life, they had decided that one should change him and mate with him. At first, he thought it was the changing that had made him want Ian, but he soon found out that he was falling in love with him.
They were given only one true blood mate, and Ian’s had passed away a few years ago. So when they came up with the changing and mating plan, Ian had agreed. He wanted to get the information about the hunters, but he had not known that he would find love again. When they were captured, Ian had thought for sure Logan was betraying them, but he would never harm his mate. Then the alpha’s mate and Casey’s mate came and saved them. Earning the mates punishment. The punishment turned out not to be for the mates though, because the mates turned out to be a lot stronger than they gave them credit for. They had learned how to get even in a pretty awesome way.
I loved this book and cannot wait to read book four. I love the way the dominates are slowly falling apart, when their mates give them attitudes. It made me laugh through Rory, Nicky’s, and Logan’s stunts. I loved this book and am amazed at the way it just came together. It was told with a hint of both humor and seriousness.
I would recommend reading this because it gives you two very sexy men, quirky mates, dangerous situations, passion and fire and excitement.
