Blurb: Shunned by his pack for being born without feet and suspected of being an omega wolf, Devyn had a lucky escape when he was found and raised by a bear shifter. Now twenty six years old, Devyn fills his days carving elegant items of furniture out of wood, catering to the rich who can afford his custom pieces. It’s a quiet life, but a good life and Devyn never imagined it changing in any way, until his fated mate walked in the door.

Rex would be the first to admit he cruised through life since leaving his father’s pack at eighteen. Yes, he was born an alpha, but he wasn’t interested in running a pack. He was happy living with his beta brother, running his bar, and falling in with hook ups when the mood struck him – which was often. But when he was called to a furniture shop by his latest hook up, supposedly to help move a bed, he never imagined he’d finally find someone he wanted to hold onto. Someone who made his alpha wolf stand up and take notice.

Life should’ve been easy once the misunderstandings concerning a proposal, Devyn’s role in their relationship, and other trivial matters had been resolved. But the evil that shadowed both their pasts, is now back on the scene wanting Devyn dead and Rex fulfilling responsibilities he’d never asked for. Throw a magic user in the mix, and it’s going to take more than Devyn’s deft hand on his wheelchair to work things out.

Review: Rex and his brother left their pack when they became adults. They had a good life, but life seems to always come up with a surprise. When Sloan tried to propose to him in a warehouse for tax time, he knew he had to change a part of his life. What he had not expected was the sexy little wolf shifter being his mate, nor of his mate not being able to walk.

Devyn’s pack had left him for dead when he was a few days old, all because his legs were deformed and he had no feet. A bear shifter found him and became the father he knew now. Then walks in a big ass alpha wolf whose head needed to be knocked around saying they were mates.

Now for most shifters they would meet, mate and have some sexy times. But wolves are a bit strange it seems, then add in one grumpy papa bear and well it is going to get messy. You get a bit of feelings from Rex, but he just doesn’t seem to have a true connection with Devyn that one would expect. Then there is the fact that he is alpha but comes off more like a beta, until he stands up to another beta. I also didn’t care for the magic users at all and wished they had been ditched. I did like Devyn quite a bit and his papa bear definitely wins favors.

It was an interesting story that had a few errors in it but they were not taking away from this story. However I will say that there was something missing in the story that would have normally made it stand out more.

I did enjoy reading it and look forward to reading more from this series. I can also say that it is one of those stories that will be read many times over.

Blurb: Twenty-three year old bear shifter, Daniel Borden had his life crash around his ears at the tender age of fifteen when his parents were killed in a car accident. Struggling to control his shifts during puberty, Daniel left the foster care home he’d been placed in the day he turned eighteen. Thankfully, his parents left him well provided for and he was able to realize his dream – owning a safe place to call his own. Now an international best-selling author, Daniel hides behind his computer, convinced his life is fine just the way it is. Unfortunately, his only vice – a love of wild blueberries – changes his life in ways he’d only dreamed of.

Zeke McIntyre and Ty Hollifield are two Kodiak bear shifters who’ve spent ten years on the road, looking for their elusive third. Determined to allow the hand of fate to guide them, they end up in a “blink and you miss it” town all because of a white picket fence. Deciding to take the time to stretch their legs and let their long suffering bear forms free, Ty and Zeke spend their days wandering about in their fur in the nearby forest and loving on each other the way mated bears do. Until a brief hint of an alluring scent in the air, guides them to the one they’ve been looking for.

The older Kodiaks arrival in Daniel’s life brings out issues he’d never had to face head on before. Convinced by his mates to attend a writer’s conference in Roswell, and unwilling to let his mates down, Daniel has to face the fears that kept him hidden in his lovely house. Will he ever learn to trust the safety that could be found in his lovers’ arms, or will he be going home alone?

Review: Zeke and Ty have been mates for over ten years but they both new that they were missing an important part. They were missing their mate, to make them a true triad. They have been riding on their bikes for so long that they didn’t truly have a home to go back to. They had just stopped at a cute part of the forest where they were lucky to find some tasty berries and their mate. Of course with their luck they had to chase that mate down. The little guy took off like a bat out of hell.

Daniel is a small brown bear and is basically considered a cub at his age. He lost his parents at a young age and had been thrown into the foster care, the human foster care. He had to hide not only what he was but being an omega, he had to hide from the crazies. He started writing at a young age and was doing pretty good at it. However it left him with lots of fear of the outside world. So when two big bears show up, you got it, he runs home.

It is going to take all their patience to get this right. I could feel everything Daniel could feel and just listening to him was heart breaking. The big alpha’s were definitely on the right path, although I hope Daniel does give them a small break for kicking ass to keep him safe. What I love most about these stories is you can feel the way Lisa feels in each of her stories. She puts her whole heart into it and the stories turn out to be amazing.

With this story you get so much from it, including danger, excitement, adventure and some hot sexy times. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end.

I had a blast reading this and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.

Blurb: It’s been almost twenty years to the day that Clive lost the love of a shifter who’d found his true mate. Now, he plans to celebrate the 4th of July with beer, barbecue, and maybe some hot company. As president of the Epitaphs MC, he’s never short of company, but when his musing about his previous love takes a melancholy turn, he decides a bike ride is the cure for the depressing cobwebs in his brain.

Roy Carmichael is one of the new police officers in Orlando, and as such, has been stuck on traffic duty on a public holiday. With only a few minutes left to go on his shift, he’s dreaming about grilled meat and maybe a swim to cool off after being stuck in a car on a hot day. His dreams are interrupted when a bike roars past him, going far faster than the speed limits allow. Roy loves a good chase and figures it’s the perfect end to a slow shift.

One sniff and Roy’s bear knows he’s found his forever, but between Roy’s job and Clive’s, mated life isn’t going to be easy. The Black Skulls MC is sniffing around and wants a merger with the Epitaphs, and one of the Epitaph members isn’t happy that Roy’s bounced into Clive’s life. Fireworks are guaranteed.

Review: This story is connected to the Alpha and Omega series so I would suggest reading those books first since Clive is mentioned in them.

Clive has never had problems with finding someone to hook up with but his heart was not in it. Close to twenty years ago Clive’s lover had met his true mate and took off. Clive was a human but he knew about true heart ache and he never wanted to feel it again. However celebrating the holiday and drinking beer has him thinking of the past and heading out for a ride. To bad he was speeding and a cop caught him.

Roy is a big ass bear shifter who has found his mate. There are a few little issues though one with Clive being the president of a biker club and him being a cop. To top it off there are some problems with another biker club and damn Roy has to figure out what to do. Things are going to get real interesting.

I love bear shifters and their sweet taste. Nice paced story with some hot characters, laughs and a bit of danger are just a bit of what your going to get in this story. I hadn’t remembered Clive from the previous books but do remember his attitude and was glad to see he got his head out of his ass. This is a sweet story that had me wishing for more. I got a blast out of reading about Trent and Marly again.

I had fun reading this and can not wait to get my hands on the next book. I loved the characters and their story, and can guarantee that you will too.

Fagin’s Folly by Lisa Oliver

Author: Lisa Oliver

Blurb: Fagin Mars, alpha-heir of his father’s pack, had two possible life paths. On the one hand, he could do what his father demanded; mate with a female wolf shifter and take over the pack or…something else entirely. Fagin was opting for option two. After a terse exchange with his father, Fagin gets permission to go on a road trip for thirty days. He wants to find his true mate. It shouldn’t be that hard, should it?

Cooper Samuels stayed well away from wolf packs. As an omega, he knew the terrors he’d have to face if he ever got caught in pack territory. Which is why he worked for a human accounting services firm and never told anyone about the furry side of his nature. That was, until he went to meet a prospective new client as a biker bar called Fagin’s Folly. He should’ve known his life was going to change the moment someone barrelled into him and knocked him over.

But just because the Fates stepped in and put these two men on the same path, didn’t mean the journey was going to be easy. Things aren’t all as they seem in Fagin’s home pack and things turn nasty after a night on the town. Kidnappings, challenges and the archaic notions many shifters believed about omega wolves was enough for Fagin to consider handcuffs and not the kinky kind. Will Fagin have to give up his mate so soon after finding him, just to ensure his mate’s safety?

Review: Each book in the Alpha and Omega collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. However with this story you can actually read it as a standalone, and I do hope that this fantastic author writes more because I want to read about Buster and Wayne.

Fagin was to be the next alpha according to his father. The problem was the one rule in the pack drove him nuts, he had to mate a female and produce pups. Fagin could get it up for a female, but he was gay. He knew that he was to be fated to a man, he just had not expected to find him before he even left town on the search.

Cooper was a male omega wolf and he hated it. He was abused by others both mentally and sexually, so he tried to stay away from the packs around him. He was one of the best accountants and was getting ready to do a job, but fear overwhelmed him when he came across a big alpha wolf. An alpha wolf that just happened to be his mate.

Now these guys have got it going on, but there is the problem of one pissy female wolf that wouldn’t leave Fagin alone, and a father that just kept egging it on. Starting a new pack was in the works, but then his father pulled his latest stunt, if you want to know more your going to have to read it. And what a read it will be.

I have always been fascinated by this author’s work. Her imagination is a wonder and I look forward to each and every book. The worlds she creates are fascinating and somewhat hot. My only real issue with this book was the first chapter. The sex with Missy was not what I wanted to start a book with. However it did work out perfectly with the story. It led in perfectly to it. The characters are strong and powerful, but Fagin’s heart was what made him even stronger.

My attention had been caught from the start, or after the female sex part and kept all the way to the end. It had given me everything I could ask for in a story and so much more. The sex was pretty hot and steamy. I got a kick out of Buster as well.

This story was a blast to read and I can guarantee that it will be read more than once. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Review: Each book in the Alpha and Omega collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

This story was previously published in the SuMMer Heat Anthology. It has been re-edited and lightly added to version of the same story and nothing in the story line has changed.

Stone is sent to hunt down an omega who has ran away from his pack. To bad the little omega is Stone’s mate, and has a few more surprises for Stone. Things are going to get nuts, but Stone must find away to protect his mate and little sister.

Wyatt is an omega wolf whose uncle has decided that he wants him. Talk about a nasty situation but him and his little sister have been on the run for some time. Imagine his surprise when his mate is there to send him back or protect them both.

This story is not only well told but it will keep you on the edge of your seat. This little omega has a backbone of steal. It caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. Lisa Oliver is one hell of a writer and I can honestly say that this one as well as her other stories are stories that will be read more than once. I get a kick out of them and can not wait to get my hands on the next story.

Harley thinks he has every reason to hide. A savage scar on his face means his trysts are best kept to dark alleys. Watching his mate, he quickly realizes Bronson is one of the world’s beautiful people. He wasn’t going to be interested in a scarred tattooist from the wrong side of town.

Review: Each book in the Alpha and Omega collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I am glad to see these sexy guys get their story told, but I really am not a fan of spinoffs.  Even though they can be read as a standalone, I would suggest reading the other stories first.  For me the love they feel just seems to fast and a bit forced.  However there is something about them that still drew me in.

Harley is a sexy feline shifter, who doesn’t think he is anything to look at.  Having a very harsh life has left him scarred in more ways than one.  Let’s just say I would love a good go at his mother and her lover.  To know more into why I made that statement, you need to read the book.  So anyhow, he smells his mate, but thinks the man doesn’t want him.  So he leaves him a little note.

Bronson wants to find his mate and have the love he knows will be there.  A note dressed to him, gives him a head start.  Now all he has to do is to show his mate, he is most definitely wanted.  The past always has a way of showing up in the present, and Bronson is bound and determined to keep his mate safe.

It is a very good story that has some unique twists, but for me it just seems to be missing that extra zest.  Other than my issues, it is one fun book.  I always get a kick out of Lisa’s stories and I know you will too.

Review: Each book in the Alpha and Omega collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I haven’t really been a fan of short stories that are added into the other series, but Lisa gives you more than just a bite.  They are quite entertaining and a bit on the frisky side of things.  This short story is a spin off from Dancing Around the Cop, book two in the Alpha and Omega series. While it can be read as a standalone, you will understand more about the secondary characters if you have read that book first.

Sully has redeemed himself in some ways.  If you remember he was a homophobic jerk who not only pulled a gun on his partner but reported him to the higher ups.  The truth of the matter was he was just so damn far in the closet; he was hiding out in Narnia.  He is slowly getting used to being friends with his partner and his partners mate.  He was also getting use to shifters.  Now he is finding out that there is more to it.

Quentin is a powerful wolf who is in the Marines.  He was on leave, thinking about re-enlisting.  That is until he finds his sexy mate.

Now with danger approaching, Q is set to keep his mate safe.  Even if the damn man is a pain in the ass.  I got a kick out of these two, but had to go back to the original book to get more into Sully’s character a bit.  I loved the little twists and turns.  It is a good story that is a fresh look into Sully’s head.  Now he is not my favorite character but he was fun to get to know.

I had fun reading this book and would definitely recommend it.

Blurb: Ronan Montgomery had built himself a good life; he had friends, a small apartment to call his own, and a fantastic job as a dancer/choreographer. He still missed his mother dearly, but even though she’d been dead five years, he adhered to her number one rule – stay away from other wolves. He knew, as an Omega, that others of his kind weren’t overly friendly with those they considered weak, but as he’d never met another wolf, he didn’t feel he’d anything to worry about. That was, until he spotted two Alpha wolves at one of his performances. Who knew one brief second of eye contact could change his life forever.

Asaph Bosch was a hard man and proud of it. He’d worked his way up from nothing, building a huge international company. When a random night out threatens all he’s worked for, Asaph fights back. His mate will be a woman, or he won’t have one at all. Unfortunately, his wolf half is just as strong and just as determined as he is, and Asaph finds his life changing in ways he’d never imagined.

But life was never meant to be easy – when Asaph’s past comes back to haunt him in more ways than one, Asaph has to examine his priorities. Is his happiness rooted in the company he’s worked so hard to build, or is there more to life than money?

Review: This is part of a wonderful series but it can be read as a standalone novella.

The first thing I want to point out is that Lisa Oliver has dedicated this to those who lost their lives at the Pulse Nightclub. It is heart-warming to see an author do this to continue to show that love will beat hate every time.

Lisa Oliver has become a favorite of mine the moment her first shifter story came out. The world she creates are pretty sweet and damn hot. I love how an alpha wolf can be brought to his knees by a little omega. This story caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It gave me everything I could want in a story.

Ronan is a sweet little omega who loves to dance. His mother had taught him to always keep away from other wolves and to never let a man touch him. He had always followed her rules until he came across a very determined alpha. Asaph is a very dominate alpha wolf and very well known in the world of business. However he thinks that he can buy anything so can you imagine his surprise when a little omega turns his ass down. It would seem he has his work cut out for him.

I always did love a good shifter romance, as long as it is not an insta love type story. And I can guarantee that this is not one of those, poor old Asaph had to work for it. I got a kick out of this although I have to say that it did feel a little off to me. Other than that I had a great time with it and look forward to the next book.

Review: Each book in the Alpha and Omega collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. However, they can be read as a standalone.

There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. I have always loved a story that involved an Alpha shifter and an Omega. It is something about the power struggle between them. One always knows that the Alpha is the strongest leader of the pack and the Omega is the one that keeps a pack together. Lisa Oliver’s stories always have a little twist to them that makes them even better. It is not one of those instant love and mate stories.

Caden has been raised in a pack where the Alpha is not only cruel but down right evil. He believes that the Omegas are just slaves. When Caden was eighteen he was to be made the Alpha’s personal sex slave. Well let’s just say he decided that was not what he wanted to do. He ran and his life went for the plus after a time on the streets. Caden is one hell of an artist.

Sean and his brother are Alphas, but Sean doesn’t want to truly lead. His father is one of the best Alphas around. He thinks that Omegas are to be welcomed and loved. So when Sean and his brother seek out an artist who paints wolves, he is shocked to not only find out that Caden is an Omega wolf, but he is his mate. When the jackass Alpha finds out where Caden is, it is up to Sean to keep him safe. Talk about a miscommunication type of couple.

I love this story and can’t wait to read the next book. I also love how Alpha males are so tender with their mates. I had fun with his and would definitely recommend it.

Sure, no one but his parents know he’s an Omega wolf, but he’s okay with that. Zander can’t have a mate, especially a pretty, sweet little man like Terry. His friend of more than ten years, and partner on the force hates gay men with a passion and Zander won’t risk the only true friend he has, not even for a mate. So even though he’s scented Terry, Zander is determined to stay away from the Omega.

Unfortunately the Fates are just as determined that the two men should be together and when Zander finds himself hit with the mating curse in more ways than one, he comes up with a plan to have Terry without upsetting his friend.

A nasty boss, a homophobic partner, some really jerky behavior by Zander and another Alpha wolf keen on claiming Terry for his own, all conspire to stop any chance these two have of finding true love. But did I mention that the Fates are really persistent?

Review: I came across Lisa Oliver about a year ago and I have to tell you that she just continues to surprise me. Each story is well written, with characters that not only draws you in, but captivates your heart. You can usually tell when someone writes with their feelings and not just for money, and Lisa is one that writes with her heart all the way in it.

Terry is an omega, and his family thought for his safety that they would have to live without a pack. For the longest time he was alright with it. Then he met his mate. He was a clothing designer and loved making clothes for his friends. He had a lot of fun making costumes for the drag queens. They were his friends and family. He was well-loved. Then on a night they were out, they got themselves in a fight. Then he meets Detective Zander Samuels and his partner, who is an ass. His life is about to change.

Zander was an Alpha wolf without a pack. He has been best friends with his partner Sully for over ten years. So when he meets his mate, his dumbass decides to ignore it. Then to have him on the side, boy was he in for a shock of his life. His wolf is not going to let him get away with the crap he was thinking. His wolf wanted his mate, and his wolf was going to get his mate. Zander needed to get his head out of his ass, and be a true mate.

I love Lisa’s books and always look forward to reading more by her. I had a blast with this book and would definitely recommend it. There is just something with the way she gives you a story that will not only draw you in but keep your attention throughout the whole story. It gave me everything I could want in it. She has definitely made it to my top five favorite authors to read.

This was an amazing story and you should check it out. The sex is hot and so is the whole book.
