Review: Upon Drew being attacked he comes face to face with the realization that Callahan is his mate and worries over Daniel’s next move to get money that is not his. Learning his attacker, Vince, is his mate makes him wary. Along with this other factions are at play to get to the citizens of sage.

A plan is formed to set up other safe places as the town of sage is growing larger. I have loved these series since the very first book in the two spirits series started. These series are connected together and tell harrowing tales of survival and determination to live in piece while protecting those that are vulnerable.

Fantastic read and highly recommended.

by

C.L. Mustafic

After leaving the Outcast pack, Clay Anderson and Damian Macoon head to Alabama where they’ve both secured a job with the construction company that employs Damian. Their new relationship is off to a good but not too harmonious start in no small part due to Clay still holding a grudge against Damian for turning him into a werewolf. So when they walk into the office trailer parked on the job site and Clay realizes that their boss is none other than Damian’s fated mate, things get even more tense between the two.

Billy Ray Hicks was raised believing he was going to find his mate and be a cherished member of whatever pack he ended up in, but those dreams came crashing down when his bonded mate ran away and disappeared from his life before the mate bond was completed. Billy Ray always figured he’d run into Damian again but never suspected his mate would have a boyfriend when he did.

With tensions mounting between Clay and Damian, Billy Ray becomes the focal point of their ire. Damian ends up in the middle of two men—one he wants and one he needs—who both want him. Now he needs to convince them that they all belong together before he loses both.

Review: Aaron and Sam are still struggling two years later after their sub leaves them with no word of why. The two Doms just try to live day to day when one day Sam witnesses a man collapse. He goes to help only to realize the man is badly beaten. He decides to help despite his misgivings.

Tim suffers abuse from his older brothers. He yearns to be loved and love in return when Sam helps him recover he starts having feelings for the two Doms. Through all the ups and downs with these three I felt they would be a good match. However there was so much from side and secondary characters I felt the three men’s story was not quite complete.

Aaron and Sam want to give Tim a chance but struggle because of their past and Tim as sweet as he is wants to help them heal from the pain caused by Seb’s leaving. I truly loved these men who have suffered for different reasons and wanted them to have a life full of happiness.

Great read.

Review: Each book in the Eternal Flames Maddox collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Destrain’s mate Clove died many years ago and it always broke Destrain’s heart. Fate had another idea though, they brought Clove back from death. The problem was Clove hadn’t wanted to come back. Things were not going to well, and then in comes a sexy little shifter.

Tobias was a cute ferret shifter who knew that Destrain and Clove were his mate. However Destrain and Clove had no clue, for they don’t know until a kiss. So you can imagine what is going to happen.

I came across these two authors since the first book in the original series came out and let me tell you that it was a series that I will always read more than once. Action packed, excitement filled, danger and some hot sexy time is just a bit of what you are going to get in this book.

I loved this book and can’t wait to get my hands on the next one.

Matthew Brooks knows he isn’t the world’s best catch. He’s a little more plump than he’d like and has a very boring life as a paralegal. Finding two men that seem interested in him at the same time thrusts him firmly into fantasy land.

Joe and Sam are twin bear shifters and they have just found their mate. A mate that is in trouble. They just have to figure out how to tell Matt that he is theirs and lets not forget the baby part. This might just get to be interesting in more ways then one.

I don’t really care for the instant sex thing right off the bat, well almost. However it is a very entertaining story that has some danger in it, plus some hot and kinky sexy times. I get a kick out of these stories. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It is even the perfect length to keep me smiling and having a good time.

The characters are a blast to read about and it always makes me tear up just a bit at the pain the human mates in these stories have. Each one seems to go through some horrible times. The author just seems to make the guys worlds seem like somewhere I would want to be. I absolutely love their dads too.

I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Review: Each book in the Sniper Team Bravo collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I came across Maia when the first book in this series came out and I have to say that she does have an amazing gift at telling a story.  I always did love a good man in a uniform who is sexy, loyal and damn good with a gun.  I also liked the fact that in the blurb she explains a bit about what the title itself means.

It is not only an entertaining tale, but is full of action, hot sex and danger.  There is just a hint of humor in it that makes it even better.  Usually it is when Sam gets called Pretty Boy, thanks to Finn but damn it is funny all the same.  Nicknames do stick with you sometimes.  What is better then two men, lets say three is hotter.

Nick and Aiden have been together for quite some time.  They knew there was something they were missing and in a war zone they found it.  Too bad it had sent the man running for the hills.  Now out of the field, they are living in a nice town, that just happens to be where Sam is.  The same Sam that ran from them.  They just needed to show him, that they wanted him for life.

Sam has always grown up as a second filler, never wanted but needed.  He had been born just to save his older brother, and when his brother died, his parents pretty much abandoned him.  To him he will never be wanted just for himself.  Now here are two men who are together, and his trust is at test.  To top it off, danger seems to keep coming for them all.

A very intriguing story that was quite a bit of fun to read.  I had to actually go back and read the whole series over once more.  I loved the characters and the way they are with each other.  They might be a sniper team but they were also a tight family.  I loved that about them and was glad that the author turned it that way.  I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: Each book in the Federal Paranormal Agency collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Park was just trying to protect his brother and himself. He was the creator of something dangerous and now they wanted him dead. He was being asked for information but somehow well you can guess. Johnny saved his life by changing him into a vampire but it created a tight bond. To bad he is mated to Axel, but he just couldn’t let Johnny go either.

Axel is a powerful lion shifter and Park’s mate. He had no clue what he was supposed to do, but hey a ménage might just be fun. Now if his lion will go for the idea and Johnny.

I wasn’t really sure about this one. I hate to admit that it didn’t keep my attention like the others. The characters were cool and fun, but lion shifters don’t share their mate as easy as this book makes it come out to be. I loved the characters but the story not so much. It was just kind of weird and off.

I hope the author doesn’t follow this pattern with the rest of the books. Other than my issues with it, it is well written and pretty hot. It is a good story and has an amazing plot going on. I just didn’t like the feel that they were cheating in the beginning. I hate to admit that I don’t really see myself reading this more than once.

Blurb: Noah Trevelyan has lost his moorings. Disowned over his sexuality as a teenager, he hasn’t been back to his home on the Outer Banks since his fisherman father kicked him out. But when he returns for the Old Man’s funeral, he discovers his father left him the house and boat in his will. Noah must choose whether to stay or go, but he won’t be alone. There’s Ian, working to overcome the emotional scars left by a domineering ex-boyfriend, and Ty, a cheerful housekeeper who’s struggling to take care of his Alzheimer’s-stricken aunt. There’s Joshua too, running from the destruction of his old life, and Gabriel, who was once beaten and left for dead, and doesn’t know how to survive on his own.

Will they find in each other the strength and courage to keep living—and learn, together, how to love again? A polyamorous relationship is the last thing any of them expected to find in the Outer Banks, but it might be what they need most, and it might even be their redemption—if they can keep their group from breaking apart under the pressure.

Reviewer: Aerin

Review:   I never expected to love this book as much as I did because polygamous relationships are not something that I can accept lightly; this was the first book I’ve ever read where five different people make a go of a very unusual relationship. The most I’ve ever dealt with in my reading experience are threesomes, and I can’t tell you how many times the relationship didn’t work for me for different reasons. Maybe I was wrong to start this book thinking it was going to be a fail, but I LOVE when I’m wrong and my mind is blown in the best possible way.

Noah Trevelyan has returned home after ten long years to bury his father; kicked out at a young age for being gay (in order to keep from tainting the whole family), Noah is now trying to make peace with his father’s death and the fact that he never got the chance to fix their relationship.

Ian has been living next door to Noah’s father for the past seven years and recently being dumped by his long-term asshole boyfriend, he’s still trying to recover from the heartbreak. Ian is a mother-hen, a doer, a caretaker who wants nothing more than to make those he loves feel happy and taken care of.

Joshua has spent almost a year behind bars for a murder he didn’t commit and even though he’s been acquitted, he ran far away from his hometown in order to start over. Joshua doesn’t think he has much to offer and knows that his past will more than likely put a shadow over any relationship he might form, regardless of his innocence. Joshua is plain and average, but he’s got a calming effect on those around him and he’s great to be around.

Ty is happiness, joy, cheer, and sunlight. He’s one of those people that everybody loves, who should never be anything but happy and smiling and shining bright. But Ty is dealing with his own problems; his great-aunt Lily, the woman who raised him after the death of his mother is suffering from Alzheimer’s and Ty’s heart is breaking day after day.

Gabriel might look like an angel but he’s definitely not one; his risky sexual behavior landed him in a dangerous situation that found him beaten, cut, scarred for life, and left for dead. Gabriel suffers from depression and has plans to take his own life; but why exactly has he traveled so far and how did he end up where he is now? He doesn’t know but plans to stay alive long enough to figure it out.

Five men who are not perfect, who are as different as can be, work together perfectly to get over the obstacles life threw in their path. Everything about them, from the way they met, to the way they interact, how they end up together, EVERYTHING felt as natural as breathing. I expected to feel overwhelmed by their polygamous relationship; I expected this book to feel more pornish than it did considering there are a lot of dicks in one bed; I expected the drama level and maybe the angst to be sky high considering the men’s backgrounds. Pretty much every one of my expectations was blown to dust. What I got were five men who become best friends, who complement each other perfectly. Yes, there’s sex, but the fact that it’s not overly descriptive or crude makes it natural and not overwhelming at all. I loved the support they offered one another, a make-shift family who had each other’s backs and never gave up on each other. I loved this book!

I can’t wait to read more from Max, I think they’re becoming more experienced in their writing; Five-Sided Heart is much better than Taking the Long Way, the writing has a nice even flow and the pace is perfect. Great book!

Review: Sanders has had quite a harsh life growing up. His mother had od when he was around four years old, and his sister’s husband was an abusive asshat. The man had hurt both his wife and Sander’s since he was six years old. The man went to jail but was coming up to parole time. It pretty much sent Sanders into panic mode. He was having a difficult time with it, but the two men he had fallen in love with helped.

Noah had been attacked and brutually raped some time ago, and he knew all about panic situations. He had had Mateo to help him through each time. He was a shy young man but his heart was always a bit scared. When Sander’s came over to play games, he was attracted to him and he knew Mateo was as well.

Mateo was pretty much the glue that held them all together. Sander’s was getting pretty far ahead in his hockey career and Noah was making a name for himself with his art. The problem was baseball was not as progressive as they should be. Thing in their lives are going to change.

This is a very slow moving story that comes off a bit dry to me. It was harder to connect with the characters then it should have been. I just could not get into this story and that was more than likely mine. You get quite a bit of Sanders and Noah, but Mateo not so much. It was like he was just a add in, even though he had been with Noah longer. Then there was Sander’s relationship with Vic that made Vic the asshat, which he really wasn’t.

It has some hot and sexy times in it, and the support that they give each other rocked. Although it comes off a bit harsh in parts. I have always been a fan of m/m romance but not so much with menage’s. They never seem to flow with ease, but in this story it actually made it more believable.

The story has a darker tone to it that doesn’t really call to me, but it also made the story more believable. It was like you knew who the guys were and they come off more real. There is heartbreak, pain, guilt, abuse, love, and friendship in this story and more.

Overall this story was well told and gives you something that felt real to the readers. The problem was that it was just not my type of story and I will admit that I skimmed over quite a bit of the story. It just wasn’t my kind of book and there was no real pull to it that called to me.

Overtime

(Cayuga Cougars 04)
by

V.L. Locey

Sander March is one season away from the pros, or so everyone tells him.

If only Sander had as much faith in his ability as the Cougar coaching staff does. Outwardly, he’s cocksure, borderline bitter, and slightly sarcastic. All that strut and sass hides a wounded soul though. Working to hide a brutal past filled with humiliation, abuse, and a family member who still haunts him, Sander has never found the kind of comfort and understanding he so desperately needs. Until he meets Mateo Castillo, a minor league baseball player for the nearby Elmira Egrets. Mateo and Sander click instantly, and a budding friendship develops between the two athletes.

Mateo then introduces Sander to his boyfriend, Noah Coombs, an aspiring manga comic creator. The three men find themselves bonding strongly, and that slowly gives way to sexual attraction. Eventually, Mateo and Noah invite Sander into their relationship. The path to happiness isn’t going to be easy for Sander as he faces criticism from his friends, teammates, and the press for his choices. The brash young star can handle all that, it’s when his abuser shows up in Cayuga that Sander fears not only for his own safety, but for the lives of the two men he has grown to love. Will Sander’s past tear him away from Mateo and Noah, or will he be able to leave the darkness behind?

Warning – This story has disturbing subject matter.

Blurb: Gay and happily married, Leo has helped manage a large, influential nonprofit arts foundation over the past ten years. He has built a friendly rapport with the elderly billionaire who began it, but he has enemies within the foundation.

Leo’s birthday is on February 13, and that has always meant candles on heart-shaped cupcakes and birthday cards with “Happy Valentine’s Day” crossed out. To celebrate, Andrew, Leo’s mystery writer husband, arranges a tryst for Leo with Mel, a gifted violinist who is one of Andrew’s biggest fans.

What started as mere pleasure becomes a three-part harmony as Leo, Andrew, and Mel explore the ways their kinks and needs mesh—until Leo’s enemies attempt to use evidence of the liaison to force him out of his job.

Review: Leo’s birthday is the day before Valentines day. His husband has set up a surprise present for him. One sexy young man who can play the violin. Andrew has given him a gift but it turns out in the end the gift would be for them all. Mel couldn’t be happier to end up with these two guys and it sure does show.

Now I have to say that this one didn’t quite keep my attention like it should have. I am all for being married or even in a threesome relationship. My issues were the fact that Leo had not asked for it. He knew his husband was into that sort of thing, but his heart was not like that. However for him Mel was perfect. To me even if it is a gift given to you by your husband, it just seems wrong.

It was an interesting story, but it didn’t do anything for me. The story came off a bit dry and dull. Although the three of them was quite hot. It was different then what I have read before. I don’t care for open relationships and the fact that one of them did not do that sort of thing, it felt like Andrew was not that much in love. Now Leo calls them cheating and being together in the book, and that made the story even more off. To me it was a bad porno. Then there was the fact like it was pushed together fast, not slow to get to know each other.

However I am sorry to say this book was definitely not for me.

Blurb: He can’t choose…

Leadership and setting an upstanding example are everything to Wisconsin Wendigos captain David Dickson. On ice, he’s got it all together. Off ice? Not so much. For years he’s been pining for not one, but both of the loyal alternate captains who’ve stood by him through thick and thin.

They’ve always had his back…

Sasha Ivanov and Bo McAllister have always seemed more into each other then into their captain. But when the stress of the season starts affecting David, they’re more than willing to step up and help him deal with it–by whatever means necessary.

He can’t resist…

When Sasha and Bo offer him everything he’s been wanting, David can’t say no, even though he knows it comes with an expiration date. But the more he finds himself fitting into their life, the more he wants what he knows he can’t have.

Can Bo and Sasha find room in their hearts for one more person? Will David let them bring him into their life? Or are these captains doomed to remain just teammates?

Find out in this steamy sports romance novel, featuring a team captain who’s too stubborn for his own good, a defenceman with a heart of gold, and a goalie who never has a problem using his words.

Three-Man Advantage is a standalone romance with a HEA and no cliffhanger! Also includes a sneak peek at Holding, Book 3 in the Tripping series, coming in October 2018!!!

Review: David is the captain of the Wisconsin Wendigos ice hockey team and he has it bad for both the alternate captains, defenceman Sasha and goalie Bo, who he thinks are in a relationship together. He longs for something with either one of them and when they make him an offer he can’t refuse all he can do is try to protect his heart.

Sasha and Bo have both noticed that David is extra anxious as the season progresses and decide to try to ease some of the tension. But Sasha soon realises that it just might be more than just helping out their captain for all three of them. Bo is determined to make his captains life easier, and sexing up the man is a bonus but when he gets the idea to find David his own boyfriend he soon realises that maybe his feelings for David have changed.

This is a great little story of a ménage romance developing into love. David, Sasha and Bo are three great characters, they fit together perfectly and you can see how they easily slide from friends into lovers. Sasha is a very perceptive man, he realises before any of the other just ow they all feel for each other and instead of trying to force the other two into recognising the feelings, and he has the patience to wait for them to realise it themselves.

Bo is quite a character, cheeky and loveable, he’s so desperate to make sure David is relaxed and not snarling at the team, he opens his bed to David not realising that he has also opened his heart.

David so desperately wants something special in his life and his attraction to both Sasha and Bo causes him some conflict. Getting involved with both of them might end up being a problem when he realises how deeply he feels for them but he can’t deny himself the joy of being with them.

This is a great story but I did find it jarring at first as we are plunged straight in without the characters being introduced (you know their descriptions and what positions they play etc), I just found it really jarring as though the author just expected me to remember them from the first book *shrugs*. The writing style is pretty easy to fall into although at times it felt slightly stilted but those moments are few and far between.

The characters are entertaining and likeable, you get pulled into David’s, Sasha’s and Bo’s lives and relationship from the start and you do hope that they realise without too much heartache how much they mean to each other.

I recommend this story to those who love ménage romances that feel fated, who adore great characters, love hockey and sexy men finding their happily every afters.

Review: Each book in the Saint Lakes collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Jules was mated to one evil vampire whose wife had made it impossible for them to mate. Thanks to a warlock, the bond was destroyed. To bad he was not bonded to the warlock and the warlock’s mate. A mate that didn’t want him, and to top it off they left him behind when they ran. Now time has gone past and he had been rescued only to be forced to live near them. Talk about a storm about to rise up.

Tommy knew that fate had a way of righting the wrongs. To bad his stubborn mate Hacen didn’t think so well. Tommy was the warlock that broke the bond and somehow turned Jules into their mate. Hacen was a prejudice asshat who is the most stubborn. Time is coming for them too, well if you want to know more read the book.

This story caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. I must admit that this was not my favorite of the stories, but it was still interesting to read. What is better than two sexy men, three with attitudes. The characters are quite feisty and sexy as hell. I will also admit that I didn’t much care for the beginning of the story, it just felt like it left a part of the story out. However it didn’t really take away from the story to much.

I had a lot of fun reading it and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.
