Blurb: ā€œThe Emperor cares for each and every one of his subjects.ā€

Many consider the catchphrase of the imperial Lotus Knights to be nothing more but well-polished propaganda, but for Yaden, it is a way of life.

A young Lotus Knight himself, his first mission in service of the Emperor sends him to the remote village of Hagermarsh, a suspiciously friendly place on a planet known for its inhospitable people. But how to uncover a demonist coven when nothing bad ever happens?
Getting to know the villagers only complicates things – the motherly fishmonger surely isnā€™t a demonist. Nor the gruff leader of the local militia. And definitely not the cute baker from across the street.

Or are they?

Come discover a dazzling, hopeful universe of knights and monsters, of psions, aliens and ancient deities! The Demon of Hagermarsh is the first book of ā€˜Sir Yadenā€™, an epic SF saga of grand adventure, romance, bromance and family, set in the multi-faceted Virasana Empire. It is a romantic adventure and can be read as a standalone.

Review: Not a lot is given about Yaden’s Lotus Knight but there are a lot of flashbacks before this happens. He is given a mission by the emperor to look for demons in a small village. The village seems friendly and quaint. Darios is his gladiator guardian who I liked a lot.

I liked most things that happen in this very long story. Unfortunately, it was a little too much on details that were unnecessary for me at times as I stopped multiple times and had to regroup myself to continue reading. A good portion of the first half of this story is this way and the good stuff starts happening at the halfway mark.

Given that this is the first book in a series many authors try to fit too much in the first book and sometimes it feels overwhelming. This was the case with this book to me. After the halfway mark things are still slow but better. I never actually got a feel for Yaden and Caleb as a couple.

The many genre’s in this book added an extra element that brought enjoyment to the story. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.

Great read.

Review: Each book in Mate of the Tyger Prince collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Derrick and his best friend decide to spend their time after finishing training, getting drunk. To bad their memories are a bit foggy. Derrick is the prince to his world, and is now facing a young man who is pregnant. A man who is a pirate, a pirate that has some big secrets. The trouble is the King states that Derrick must marry Egan, a man he does not remember. The problem was, Derrick was not the one who got him pregnant. Kylar needs to come home soon.

I am afraid that this series is one of those that I couldn’t remember very well. Which is not a good sign for me. The constant going back and forth is troublesome and drove me nuts. The characters are charming but also spunky as hell. I don’t much care for Rhaegar. I think he has more secrets to tell, but he comes off as an ass. The king however needs to be kicked in the butt. He was an ass to his son and didn’t do the book any good. There is adventure, danger, murder, hot sex and well you will just have to read the story for more.

I hate to admit that this series was not one of my favorites. The story is entertaining and I did enjoy it, but the story just doesn’t flow right. It came off as choppy and not well articulated, but that doesn’t say the story is not good. It has some great potential, but so far it just needs a bit more work to it. I will see how the next book turns out to make up my mind though.

Heart Rating: šŸ’–šŸ’–šŸ’–šŸ’– 4 Hearts

Blurb: Morgan Murray is an easy, fun-loving guy. He excels at being a soldier, but never wanted more out of life. Somehow, he ends up in a position of authority on Dru’s new ship, the Blue Sparrow. Now he has to deal with what he dreads most. Responsibilities. Dru and her crew are given the task of finding Wyatt Morrick and telling him about his father’s death. Along the way, Morgan soon learns that responsibility can be painful, difficult, and frightening. It can also lead to something very special.

Dr. Wyatt Morrick is in trouble. Big trouble. He and his medical crew are stuck on a planet under attack. He may not be a soldier, but he has patients and friends to worry about. With very few supplies left, something has to give for them to survive. The whole planet’s future is at stake and he is stuck hiding in a cave.

When Morgan saves Wyatt and his friends, the two men are given a gift, each other. Their love can’t stop the Concord, though, and someone has to. Morgan has to grow and accept his responsibilities, and Wyatt has to move on from his father’s death. That death just happens to be a little more complicated then Wyatt expected.

Author’s Note: 55,000+ words. This is a m/m love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. 18+ readers only, please. It is also the third book in a series that is best read in order. Review: So much happens in this story as Wyatt and Morgan come to terms with different things going on their lives. There are twists and turns around every corner as you traverse through this exciting story. Many characters make an appearanceĀ as book progresses.

I liked that we found out what happened to Morgan. Trying to fend off attacks while getting closer is no easy feat for Morgan and Wyatt. I liked the added details into both men.

Entertaining and fascinating. Great read.

Review: Leti and his many pets, sister and travel companion stow away aboard a mercenary ship to get away from his father. The mercenary captain has been irritating and grumpy but not knowing why until he meets his mate Leti that is a stowaway.

Many antics take place as the many exotic animals are taken over by various crew members and everyone finds a place. I liked the way the story progressed but have to confess that I was a bit put off by how nice a mercenary captain was in this story. I was expecting him to be a bit more gruff not happy all the time.

Other than that it was an entertaining story.

Good read.

Review: In this exciting conclusion Jameson and Xander head to a place where someone helps them in their quest to stop the events from unfolding and destroying the world. At the same time their friends go on their own journeys to help stop the takeover for good. Each discover secrets that help unravel the mystery of the first humans, Nimfeach, Ithani and Skythane.

I was in awe of well this story was told and brought to life with each page. The details were amazing and made me feel as though I was there witnessing everything that was and will come to pass. The leader of the Ithani was a ruthless leader with plans in the making that only helped himself and enslaved others.

I loved the information of how everything was started so long ago. The Nimfeach were truly done wrong by Jirron and the Ithani. My heart went out to them and everything they had gone through.

The ending was a fascinating and dangerous mission to put a stop to Jirron and his plans once and for all.

Amazing read and highly recommended.

The Tyger King by Shannon West

Blurb: The fallout from Derrickā€™s union with Rhaegar and Blakeā€™s aid in his sonā€™s elopement has been intense, to say the least. After a blistering brawl between Blake and Davos, Davos leaves Blake, because he isnā€™t ready to forgive him, and most shockingly of all, he says he isnā€™t sure he even wants to.

Blake is frightened and hurt by his actions, but terribly angry. He follows the king back to Tygeria, if only because Davos had the gall to take their two younger children with him when he left. His ship is slower than the kingā€™s, though, and when he arrives back on Tygeria, he finds the king has left again, on a wild chase after his errant son and his pirate mate. Even worse, he makes a unilateral decision to send their son Larz to a faraway planet for military training, against Blakeā€™s express wishes.

When Davos, Derrick and Larz all go suddenly missing, Blake attempts a rescue mission, but encounters a strange wormhole in space, and is flung through it to crash on an unknown planet called Tveir. Strangest of all the planet is populated by Tygerians and their handsome king. Injured and disoriented, Blake begins to feel as if heā€™s trapped in some crazy story. Except this isnā€™t any kind of story at allā€”this is Blakeā€™s life, and the plot has just taken an unexpected, heartbreaking and totally infuriating twist.

Reviewer: Lisa

Review: Blake and Davos have one hell of a fight after Blake helped his son escape with Rhaegar. So much so that each man said something horrible, but Davos even more. Then he leaves Blake on one planet and heads home, but of course Blake is going to follow. Especially since Davos took their two youngest back with them. When Blake makes it back home, it is to only find out Davos went to find his son and sonā€™s husband. Blake is pissed and going to get them all back. To bad the trip doesnā€™t go as plan, think alternate universe.

Too bad Davos and Rhaegar are not the same when they crash. Now it is going to take Blake and Derrick all they have and know to get them all back home. Might not be as easy as one thinks.

This story is a great idea but failed to deliver for me. It was hard to follow especially in the beginning. I knew right off the bat about alternate universe but to think that if they lived there, then the ones that come through the wormhole are basically emerged in to one. With very few memories of the lives they led before they ended in hell. I guess it should be called parallel universe, but still strange. The only reason Blake and Derrick remember all is because they never lived in the new world, so to speak.

I knew why Davos was the way he was, but it made the story drop quite a bit for me. He didnā€™t make it up when Blake finds out he is pregnant. However in the end he does make up for being an ass. However it was a bit too late for me to even truly like it. I was a bit disappointed in it. I can honestly say that this is not one of those memorable stories. I can also tell you that this is one of those books that I will probably never read again, which was not a good sign for me.

Over all the story is well told, fast paced but also mixed with a slower pace in some parts, danger filled and action packed. It is an entertaining story but was just to much stuff in it that made it dull for me.

Review: Each book in the Avanti Chronicles collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Bray is one of the last of the avanti to find a mate and he is wondering if it is the one man he has fallen in love with. To bad his ass has no clue what Leo thinks or feels. Then there is the betrayal from other tribes coming at them left and right, plus the dangers they donā€™t see and the kidnapping of one of their precious children. A war is what they want and a war is what they will get.

Leo is the head of his tribe but he knows with all his heart that Bray is his. When he goes to help Bray on setting up one of the traitors, he had not expected to have to help him find Chance nor what him climb a mountain without any gear. Talk about giving a man a heart attack. They find that during a war that is coming, that they have more family and friends then they thought.

I came across this author when the very first book in this series came out, and each time a new book comes I must go read the previous books again. It goes to show you how good these people are that they have others from different worlds coming to their aide. This is a family and friend group that I wished I belonged to. The story caught my attention from the start and kept it going all the way.

This story gave me excitement, adventure, danger, betrayal, cuddling and some hot sexy times. It gave me amazing characters that will just rock your world. I am not really sure I liked the ending though, it was a bit on the depressing side of things. Tate is the same as always and lets just face it, he rocks. Hot and sexy mates, war and fights and loving all wrapped into one sizzling package.

I had a blast reading this and will admit that I am going to go back to the very first book and start reading them again.

Review: Each book in the Demonic Tales collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

This is one family that is full of traitors but the guys are going to kick ass. Evan went through a whole lot to get the information he had stolen from the Senate to the rightful people. He knew what it would cost him but he knew in his heart it was the right thing to do.

Dea and Uri have known each other since training and they have been known to hate each other with a passion, but these two take it to the extreme sometimes. Although they are both hiding the fact that they want each other. When Dea found Evan hiding on his ship, he knew that he had to trust the young man. When danger came, it was Uri who ended up saving their butts. Lets just say things are going to heat up.

Uri has always wanted Dea but he feels that Dea is just not there yet or maybe he will never be. However when Dea is in trouble, Uri knows he will do all to save the man he loves.

This story has more action then any other book I have came across in a long time. I loved the guys although Ari is still one of my favorites. Although when Evan starts hanging with them, who knows just how much trouble those three are going to get into. It has danger, excitement, hot sexy times, action, and so much more in this book. I can tell you that this is one series that will be read more than once.

It gave me everything I could want in a story and so much more. I had a blast reading it and canā€™t wait to see what other stories this amazing author has coming.

Review: Each book in the Demonic Tales collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Bo was pretty much raised by the ruling father when his family had been killed in an explosion. He had done all that he could and needed to do to make colbot warrior status. Now he was their commander and wore that with pride. When his group saved his Princeā€™s mate and another young man from being sold off, he knew that his heart has been given to the young man. However demons donā€™t date, they screw. However Bo knew that he was going to have to go slow and learn to date.

Ari is a sweet young man who has been belittled his entire life by his family and others. He was unique in the fact that he could have children but it made him easy to sell to others. When he was rescued by the demonā€™s he was frightened but strangly he felt protected by their commander. He just needed to remember that when his mother shows up and starts her crap, as usual.

Bo and Ari were a big hit with me, and the best part was Boā€™s reaction to Ariā€™s surprising news. Just wait for it, because it will have you laughing. Ari was the biggest hit and boy is that young man going to be a handful.

This story was fascinating and made me want to read book one again as well as read this one a second time. I can tell with the first paragraph that it will be one of my favorite series and will be read many times over. It has excitement, hot sexy time, danger and some crazy attitudes in it, and so much more than what I could have asked for. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end, so much so that I stayed up way past my bed time to read it.

I cannot wait to start reading the next book and would definitely recommend it.

Review: Each book in the Avanti Chronicles collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characers, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Wow, I donā€™t even know where to really start with this review. This has been probably the best story I have came across in a long time. It is an emotional rollercoaster for many. Hunter and Tir have finally got their happy ending, but not without a load of pain before hand.

This starts off with Chance getting caught in a trap and damn if that boy is not as strong as his family. It leads us on a very dangerous trip for our favorite guys. While Hunter and the guys are out looking for more traps and who laid them, Hunter is taken.

This forces Tir to realize his feelings for Hunter and to show him what he means to him. That is after he finds him. Which once more leads us to betrayal in the clan, severe injuries, close death encounters, Chanceā€™s coming into a special girt and so much more. The way the author protrayed them in all their true feelings was pretty amazing. I would definitely love to have a Refrinti for myself, they are so dedicated and loyal, not to mention strong of heart. The conspiracy that shows a bit more to what they are looking at is very complex and sometimes a bit confusing.

There is a mystery just dying to be solved, pieces coming together but still a big one out of sight. The connection that the characters have with each other is truly amazing. The connection they have with the Refrinti is mind blowing, and not to mention the connection the Refrinti have with each other. This is a truly complex and I just canā€™t even think of the word type of story. The love these two men have for each other is hot and damn set the sheets on fire please.

I will admit that it wasnā€™t until I started reading this book that I wanted to go back and read the previous ones. They donā€™t stand out like they should, but this one brings them all back to me. I guess it just has been a long time since I had read them, that makes me wish I kept them a bit closer. I will also admit that the added chronicle part doesnā€™t really do it justice. However that will all definitely change, because this story made me want to go read them all right now, and then read this one over.

I had a lot of fun reading this, and will admit a bit of tears, but lots of fun. I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: We join this epic journey as the SEED awakens; the SEED is all thatā€™s left after a deadly plague wiped out their powerful Galactic Empire, asleep for thousands of years it now needs a host so it can begin to rebuild a civilization that prospered and was peaceful.

Earth is no more it was destroyed by the Treech and humanity fled, the last of humanity now reside on two planets with New Hope reigning over Promise. The Terran Confederation has a stranglehold on its people, their rules are absolute and the people in power are greedy and determined to grab as much power as possible.

From the Terran Exploration Vessel Dragon Eye, Ranger team Jar’ek Constandor and Kallehn Frix and their X’Ah-Panths partners, S’Fah and J’Uhr (genetically enhanced Pantherā€™s that they can mind-touch with), are sent down to Jaden-325-4 to discover any abandoned alien technology that could aid the Terran Confederation. But disaster strikes and Jarā€™ek has to take a risk if he is to rescue Kallehn from certain death.

This is an amazing story; the imagination that went into creating the world building and characters is just mind blowing. The characters are fully fleshed out and interesting, the secondary characters are just as fully developed and we get to see some interesting changes as they begin to face the reality of their situation.

While it took a little while to get used to the writing style the storyline gripped me from the beginning, I found myself sucked into an out of this world experience and became fully invested in Jarā€™ek and Kallehn and the adventure they had begun. We get taken to far flung corners of the Galaxy (and beyond) as we follow a host of characters (including AI probes), we face danger and mystery, intrigue and betrayalā€¦ ah it was just a perfect mix.

Jarā€™ek and Kallehn are a well suited couple, they are best friends and Ranger partners but have always kept their true feelings for each other hidden as itā€™s against the Terran Confederationā€™s rules (just so you know ANY intimate relations are frowned upon for any Terren). Their life and death situation and the drastic actions of Jarā€™ek change all that and they finally speak the truth to each other.

We also have other relationships develop as other characters situations change; just maybe Jarā€™ekā€™s actions could free the last of humanity from their chains. But! Thatā€™s not all, Jarā€™ek has a new mission to undertake, rebuilding the Harmonic Empire, gather any of the Empire that was lost and bring peace and harmony to all worlds. It will be a trial as Jarā€™ek and Kallehn take up their new responsibilities.

Now I mentioned that the writing style took a bit of getting used to, well I was thrown at first because of how it was arranged but it also made it very easy to know just who was speaking.

Ā SEED:Ā  {ā€œIf you are judged worthy, you will have the power to heal your friend.Ā  If you are judged unworthy, we can do nothing for him or you.Ā  That is the way of things.Ā  We cannot vary from the protocol.ā€}

Ā  Jar’ek:Ā  ā€œSo, I must surrender myself and give up everything that I am or could ever be so that I can save my friend?”

At first I thought it was written the way it was because it was a consciousness speaking to an AI, then because the people speaking were on a space ship, but as it continued to happen I began to care less about why it was happening and was just glad that it was so clear as to who was speaking, especially when you have the Terrenā€™s, the X’Ah-Panths, the SEED and the AIā€™s conversing at different times throughout the story so you never have to try to figure out just who said what.

Now the characters are great, they have a lot thrown at them in just a small timeframe especially Jarā€™ek so we do have some meltdowns as they get used to their new lives, but saying that I did want to give Jarā€™ek a smack with the risks he took *shakes head* seriously man, the weight of an Empire rests on your shoulders and youā€™re not invincible!

I will hold my hands up and admit that putting the story down was hard, it became ā€˜just one more chapterā€™ and then the end of the book appeared and it was 3.30am!!!! And oh my god what an endingā€¦ theyā€™d just discovered an important message and bam! Thereā€™s the ending and me wishing the next book was published so I could continue reading *pout*

So this is a thoroughly entertaining story with plenty of action, danger, a couple of romances and a hefty challenge. If you love science fiction and space opera then you must give this book a shot, it is just fantastic.
