Blurb: Owen Meade is in need of a hero. Sheltered, ashamed, and ridiculed by his own mother for his sexuality, his stutter, and his congenital arm amputation, Owen lives like a hermit, rarely leaving his apartment. He hardly dares to hope for more… until veterinarian Nick Reynolds moves in downstairs.

Charming, handsome Nick steals past Owen’s defenses and makes him feel almost normal. Meeting his fiery, determined little sister, June, who was born with a similar amputation, helps too. June always seems to get her way—she even convinces Owen to sign up for piano lessons with her. Suddenly the only thing standing between Owen and his perfect life is Nick. No matter how much he flirts, how attracted to Owen he seems to be, or how much time they spend together, Nick always pulls away.

Caught between his mother’s contempt and Nick’s stubbornness, Owen makes a decision. It’s time to be the hero of his own story, and that means going after what he wants: not just Nick, but the full life he deserves.

Review: I don’t know where to start so I think I will go with AMAZING! That pretty much sums up the characters and the story.

Owen has been infatuated with his neighbor since he moved to Tucker Springs. When she suddenly moves he is hurt but more that he no longer gets to hear the piano that soothed him nightly. Owen has one arm due to a birth defect and a mother that left him with no confidence so he works from home and is a hermit. When Nick moves in below him and isn’t put off by his arm his life begins to change. Nick introduces him to his sister who also has the same birth defect but the opposite arm and she handles it the opposite of Owen.

Nick also has a secret that makes him keep men at a distance and won’t give into a relationship, but he finds Owen hard to resist.

This is such a lovely story of two men each with his own issue that seriously affects his life. I adored Nick and was so glad to finally get his story. It was better than I hoped for. The story has a lot of angst, some sad moments but I loved the ending. It’s the first in a while that left me laughing.

If you like stories about broken men, a few surprises, unlikely heroes and an allover great romance I highly recommend this book.

If you haven’t read any of the other Tucker Springs books don’t worry each stands alone but I highly recommend them all.

Blurb: Paul Hannon flunked out of vet school. His fiancée left him. He can barely afford his rent, and he hates his house. About the only things he has left are a pantry full of his ex’s kitchen gadgets and a lot of emotional baggage. He could really use a win—and that’s when he meets El.

Pawnbroker El Rozal is a cynic. His own family’s dysfunction has taught him that love and relationships lead to misery. Despite that belief, he keeps making up excuses to see Paul again. Paul, who doesn’t seem to realize that he’s talented and kind and worthy. Paul, who’s not over his ex-fiancée and is probably straight anyway. Paul, who’s so blind to El’s growing attraction, even asking him out on dates doesn’t seem to tip him off.

El may not do relationships, but something has to give. If he wants to keep Paul, he’ll have to convince him he’s worthy of love—and he’ll have to admit that attachment might not be so bad after all.

Review: Paul moved to Tucker Springs for his girlfriend so she could sell her sculptures. When she found out he failed his vet school and got a job as a receptionist, she found someone else. Someone she felt could help her make it in the art world.  Down on his luck, Paul kept trying to win Stacy over. For her birthday, he went to the Tucker Springs Pawn to find a gift for her.

El was immediately taken by the cute, innocent young man. Straight man.

All Paul really wants is love and acceptance. To be able to make out in public, hold hands in public.

This was such a fun, romantic story. I loved how Paul was so clueless that El was taking thing just to see him, especially when he took the dog left on the vet’s steps for Paul. I loved the way El’s friend chided him about Paul and the fun banter between El, his friend, and his family.

If you are looking for fun, humorous romance, like bisexual men, Gay for you stories, cute dogs, gardening and an all over great romance, this is the book for you. It’s perfect for an afternoon of relaxing.

Blurb:  Sometimes family chooses you.

At forty, Vincent “Vinnie” Fierro is still afraid to admit he might be gay—even to himself. It’ll be a problem for his big, fat Italian family. Still, after three failed marriages, it’s getting harder to ignore what he really wants.

Vinnie attempts some self-exploration in Chicago’s Boystown bars, far from anyone who knows him. Naturally, he runs smack into someone from the neighborhood.

Between working two jobs, going to school, taking care of his grandmother, and dealing with his mother’s ongoing substance abuse, Trey Giles has little time for fun, let alone dating someone who swears he’s straight. Yet after one night of dancing cheek-to-cheek, Trey agrees to let Vinnie court him and see if he truly belongs on this side of the fence—though Trey intends to keep his virginity intact.

It seems like a solid plan, but nothing is simple when family is involved. When Vinnie’s family finds out about their relationship, the situation is sticky enough, but when Trey’s mother goes critical, Vinnie and Trey must decide whose happiness is most important—their families’ or their own.

Review: A comforting read.

There’s just something really warm about this story that makes reading this fun and easy. I read this over a couple of cold, wintry evenings, and it was like having hot chocolate and marshmallows. Yum.

The pace is superb for a light read. There is no major angst or any dramatic unexpected turns, the story is simply about two sweet guys, Vinnie and Trey, who let themselves show their attraction to one another and it simmers and grows into love.

The two perspectives worked for me as well. Trey’s perspective is in the first person and Vinnie’s is in the third—both are skillfully written and pleasant to read. Though, I felt a touch more connected with Trey most of the story.

This was a smooth, fast read with a simple plot. If you’re looking for a break in-between more angst driven stories, this is a great option.

Review: Family Man is a standalone book, which is a collaboration between authors Heidi Cullinan and Marie Sexton. Previously, I’ve enjoyed both authors on their own but since collaborations between fantastic authors doesn’t always gel, I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one.

The story starts with thirty-eight-year-old man, Vinnie Fierro. He’s from a massive Italian family in the suburbs of Chicago. He’s a plumber who is nagged by his family to live closer to them, and their family’s restaurant. The Fierro family are THE family in the area, the people to know and to get along with. A little stereotypical but I found it fun. After three failed marriages and a call to a job that gets him thinking, Vinnie starts to wonder if he’s gay and has been repressing his feelings. Although he feels some trepidation, Vinnie is willing to be open to possibilities. He isn’t angsty about it, just unsure and uncertain about how his Italian family would deal with it.

When he goes to a gay bar in the Boystown area, Vinnie is shocked to see twenty-two-year-old Trey Giles, who is a frequent customer to the Fierro’s restaurant and his grandmother is a family friend. The sparks between Trey and Vinnie are immediate. Trey hasn’t had an easy his life. His father died when he was young, his mother became a terrible alcoholic and it was up to he and his grandmother to keep things together. Trey had delayed going to college to help his mother, but nothing seems to be helping. I really liked Trey’s storyline because he is the character with true struggles and demons to deal with and he finds a lifeline with Vinnie.

One thing that I did look forward to was the narration. Colin Darcy is a narrator that I’ve become quite familiar with from his performances of some of the Dreamspun Desires audios. Darcy did a great job narrating Family Man. He added a lot of charm and appeal to the characters and I felt as though he was able to convey the emotions really well, yet someone in all that also sounded light-hearted. I particularly enjoyed the voice he gave to main character, Vinnie. It felt authentic (or as much as it feels authentic when you’re from the other side of the world and basing all your assumptions on TV and movies).

The book itself was excellent. Let’s face it, a later in life epiphany that involves falling for a much younger man can sometimes feel a bit tedious. Mostly because there is a lot of the same angst rehashed and massive dramas made over age gaps but not a lot. What I loved about this book was that instead of focusing much of the energy of the plot into the age gap and the older man insisting he was straight, we get to explore the conflicting emotions as the older man opens up and allows himself to face his feelings. In addition to that, because Vinnie is so open with his storyline, it makes for opportunity for a real well fleshed out plot regarding Trey and dealing with his mother’s condition.

I loved this one. I recommend this one for anyone that loves a good May- December romance.

Blurb: Welcome to Reggie’s garage, where the reality television show Wrench Wars is filmed. The show is full of drama, but things really get interesting when the cameras go dark.

Come see what these mechanics get up to behind the scenes. Secret love leads to blackmail. A worker with an unusual fetish finds a car enthusiast who shares his… interests. The garage’s owner enjoys the added business that comes with the show—and the company of the show’s hot producer—but not studio politics. And one man makes the mistake of falling for his best friend’s little brother.

Hot men and hard steel. Sweat, grease, and lust. Fetishes, backstabbing, and greed. Maybe even love. Things are heating up in the garage, and the war is on.

Last Mechanic Standing by L.A. Witt: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts

When I realized how short this book was I let out a mighty groan of dislike. I usually have difficulty with short books and novellas because they tend to leave me wanting more, but this is L.A. Witt and I thought maybe I should have some faith. For as short as this was, I have absolutely no complaints! It was just the right length because it truly packed a punch and didn’t give me any chances to get bored.

Mark has started working at his father’s garage after college, and even though he hates being under his homophobic father’s thumb and live his life closeted, all the student loans hanging over his head don’t give him much choice. For the past two years Mark and his best friend Chandler have been enjoying a sexual relationship with no expectations for more. Mark just needs to pay off his student loans before he’s able to leave and live his life the way he always wanted to.

Chandler works for Mark’s father as a mechanic, and as much as he loves his job, he hates his employer and Mark’s father; those two always come to blows over every little thing. When the TV show Wrench Wars shows an interest in the shop Chandler works at, Chandler knows they’re only interested in the ratings his volatile relationship with his employer will bring, and Chandler isn’t interested in signing. But when his relationship with Mark is threatened to be exposed, Chandler doesn’t think about himself anymore, and does whatever he has to in order to protect the man he loves.

Can I just say that those two were stupidly hot together? I’m not sure what it was about them, maybe the fact that they knew each other since they were kids (friends to lovers is my favorite kind of setup), or the intensity and chemistry maybe did the trick, but I loved them together.

I am so excited about this series, and the setting for the next book is perfectly done! I can’t wait for Kasey’s book (you naughty, dirty, kinky fucker!)

Normal Enough by Marie Sexton: ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts

Kasey is a mechanic who specializes in old cars, and we’re told from the beginning that Kasey has a muscle car fetish. When Brandon brings his muscle car in for a timing belt adjustment, he quickly figures out Kasey’s fetish and doesn’t hesitate to bring it up.

Here’s the thing: the whole beginning of their story seemed creepy and farfetched. How exactly did Brandon figure out that Kasey got a hard-on for his car? A regular person would assume his boner would be for Brandon himself, but I’m no expert in undercover kink so my opinion doesn’t count.

I liked Kasey and his personal issues and realizations, but this book wasn’t long enough to understand Kasey and Brandon as a couple, and that’s mostly because of how little I got to know about Brandon. For a second edition, this was seriously uneventful, unimproved, and underwhelming. I expected more the second time around, maybe an epilogue or a few more chapters where Kasey and Brandon’s relationship was showcased. The way this book ended can’t even be called a HFN.

Normal Enough had the potential to be outstanding, but unfortunately there was nothing special about it.

Wrenches, Regrets & Reality Checks by L.A. Witt ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts

Although it is part of a series, Wrenches, Regrets, & Reality Checks can be read as a standalone, much like the prior two books. Despite how much I loved the first book (and how much hope I had for this one as well), this was everything I know short stories to be: weak premise, underdeveloped characters, unconvincing romance between the main characters and worst of all… a barely there HFN.

Reggie and Wes’s story and interest in each other comes out of nowhere and ends pretty much in the same direction. The chemistry between them was unconvincing and underwhelming and although the sex was pretty hot, it didn’t blow me away because there were NO feelings involved.

I guess I needed more of everything; more character development, more interactions between Wes and Reggie, an epilogue or anything to show me these two have a future together and things worked out. To say I’m disappointed by that ending is putting it mildly.

I’m not sure if this book puts an end to this series, but if there’s more in the future, they need to be more similar to the first book, because that I adored!

Making Waves by Marie Sexton ♥♥♥♥ 3.5 hearts

Dean and Ward have been through a lot together, have been best friends for years, and despite Dean being self-absorbed and selfish, he’s been there for Ward through a very hard time in his life when he bounced from foster home to foster home. Dean is the brother Ward never had, the one constant in his life. Despite knowing of some relationships Ward has had with men before, Dean refuses to accept or understand that Ward might be gay; he’s not an asshole about it, but he prefers to ignore it as long as possible. Until Dean’s little brother Ash comes around.

Ash is 7 years younger than Ward and has had a crush on him since he was a teenager; now that he has Ward in his sight again, he does everything he can to show his interest in Ward. Ash is flirtatious, all grown up and not afraid to go after what he wants. Ward’s efforts to resist him crumbled under Ash’s sensuality and the chemistry between them.

This book would’ve been relatively drama-free if it wasn’t for Dean. Christ that man was such a whiny, annoying, self-absorbed asshole! That selfish prick ruined the whole entire book! I got sick of his tantrums and ultimatums, and the fact that he refused to see his brother is no longer a child and can in fact make his own decisions. Because of this asshole, we got robbed of some sexy times that had real potential.

The ending is a HFN, and that’s ok. We also got to see the couples from the previous books, and while Chandler and Mark are still my favorite couple, Ash and Ward are a close second.

Blurb: A Wrench Wars Story

Best friends since they were teenagers, Ward Kent and Dean Zimmerman work together at Reggie’s garage, where the reality show Wrench Wars is filmed. Outside of work, Dean is a notorious player, and as far as he’s concerned, Ward’s the best wingman ever. Little does he know, Ward is much more interested in the gentlemen than the ladies.

Then Dean’s younger brother, Ash, comes to work at the garage. Ash may be seven years younger, but he’s had a crush on Ward for years, and he’s not shy about going after what he wants.

Admitting his best friend and his brother are gay is one thing. Seeing them together? That’s a bit more than Dean can take, and he’s about to force Ward to make a decision: lose his best friend and his job, or give up Ash forever.

Pixie’s Review: ♥♥♥♥ 4 Hearts

This is a second edition and other than some minor editing the story remains the same.

Kasey has an unusual kink that he keeps hidden, but when Brandon drives into the garage Kasey works, in a 1970 Chevelle SS 454, Kasey is quickly smitten, with the driver and the car. Brandon picks up on Kasey’s kink and finds himself intrigued with the cute sexy mechanic, but trying to get the shy man to believe he is interested is hard. Kasey begins to worry over his kink and whether he will ever be able to hold Brandon’s attention; can he put aside his fear and embrace what Brandon offers?

Ah there’s nothing like a cute mechanic who has a bit of a kink for classic cars and a sexy lawyer who just happens to have a classic car collection, oh you can just imagine the steamy times ahead! Kasey is really wary of putting himself out there, in his experience it usually leads to him being embarrassed; Kasey has no confidence so when Brandon shows an interest in him he thinks it will be a quick fling. Brandon seems to have a bit of a fetish of his own, he is attracted to men with fetishes and Kasey’s fetish is one that suits Brandon perfectly. Kasey finds himself amazed that he can open up so much to Brandon but the doubt lingers and Brandon puts Kasey’s fears to rest.

This is a great sexy little number that is amazingly hot and has two great characters. We get to know Kasey really well, the character development for him was wonderful and we watched as he began to gain confidence not just with Brandon but also his workmates as well. Brandon we don’t get to know quite as well, but well enough to know he is a perfect match for Kasey.

Together they are hot and their relationship moves along smoothly, and for me the best thing was that they are still in the early stages and haven’t declared their love after such a short amount of time, it’s a beginning of a relationship that could develop into something much more solid and wonderful.

I recommend this to those who love hot men finding common ground, sparks flying, erotic hot sex, great character development and two men at the beginning of a hot sexy relationship.

Blurb: Everyone deserves a hero.

Owen Meade is desperately in need of a hero. Raised by a mother who made him ashamed of his stutter, his sexual orientation, and his congenitally amputated arm, Owen lives like a hermit in his Tucker Springs apartment. But then hunky veterinarian Nick Reynolds moves in downstairs.

Nick is sexy and confident, and makes Owen comfortable with himself in a way nobody ever has. He also introduces Owen to his firecracker of a little sister, who was born with a similar congenital amputation but never let it stand in her way. When she signs the two of them up for piano lessons – and insists that they play together in a recital – Owen can’t find a way to say no. Especially since it gives him a good excuse to spend more time with Nick.

Owen knows he’s falling hard for his neighbor, but every time he gets close, Nick inexplicably pulls away. Battling his mother’s scorn and Nick’s secrets, Owen soon realizes that instead of waiting for a hero, it’s time to be one – for himself and for Nick.

Review: I don’t know where to start so I think I will go with AMAZING! That pretty much sums up the characters, the story, and the narration.

Own has been infatuated with his neighbor since he moved to Tucker Springs. When she suddenly moves he is hurt but more that he no longer gets to hear the piano that soothed him nightly. Owen has one arm due to a birth defect and a mother that left him with no confidence so he works from home and is a hermit. Nick introduces him to his sister who also has the same birth defect but the opposite arm and she handles it the opposite as Owen.

I listened to this on Audio instead of reading.

I adore Iggy Tomas narrations. He is good at bringing characters to life but even more so at bringing a story to life. I love his soothing voice and could listen to it for hours. Well, I guess I do!

If you like stories about broken men, a few surprises, unlikely heroes and an allover great romance I highly recommend this book.

If you haven’t read or listened to any of the other Tucker Springs books don’t worry each stands alone but I highly recommend them all.

Graham and his roping partner, Jackson, have been friends since they were boys. They’ve ruled the rodeo scene for ten years running, but lately, Graham’s heart isn’t in the game. He’s tired of the bruises, the cowboy mentality, and the animal rights activists who picket every event. He’s also tired of being in love with Jackson, and nothing’s been the same between them since their disastrous drunken encounter the year before.

Then Graham has a run-in with one of the rodeo protesters, and everything changes. Kaz is young, idealistic, and sexy as hell. But he’s also a know-it-all, animal-loving vegan, bent on saving the world one cow at a time. They have next to nothing in common, but Graham can’t stop thinking about what might happen if they can stop butting heads long enough to give it a try. Unfortunately, no matter how attracted Graham is to other men, he always panics and runs when the clothes start to come off. But Kaz has an idea for getting Graham past his nerves and into bed.

All they need is a bit of rope.

All Paul wants is to get back to normal, even if he’s not sure what that is anymore. When he wanders into Tucker Pawn for a gift to win her back, he meets El Rozal, pawn shop owner and all-around cynic.

El Rozal doesn’t do relationships, especially not with clueless straight boys still pining for their ex. El may make his living dealing in castoffs, but that doesn’t apply to men. Still, when Paul starts clearing out his old life, pawning kitchen equipment he never wanted in the first place, El is drawn to Paul in spite of himself.

Review: Paul moved to Tucker Springs for his girlfriends so she could sell her sculptures.

It’s perfect for an afternoon of yard work or housework.

Plug in your earphones and let Iggy Toma tell you the story of El and Paul! I love Iggy Toma. He can tell a story so well.  His voice is nearly mesmerizing. He conveys all the characters so well.

Trailer Trash

by

Marie Sexton

It’s 1986, and what should have been the greatest summer of Nate Bradford’s life goes sour when his parents suddenly divorce. Now, instead of spending his senior year in his hometown of Austin, Texas, he’s living with his father in Warren, Wyoming, population 2,833 (and Nate thinks that might be a generous estimate). There’s no swimming pool, no tennis team, no mall—not even any MTV. The entire school’s smaller than his graduating class back home, and in a town where the top teen pastimes are sex and drugs, Nate just doesn’t fit in.

Then Nate meets Cody Lawrence. Cody’s dirt-poor, from a broken family, and definitely lives on the wrong side of the tracks. Nate’s dad says Cody’s bad news. The other kids say he’s trash. But Nate knows Cody’s a good kid who’s been dealt a lousy hand. In fact, he’s beginning to think his feelings for Cody go beyond friendship.

Admitting he might be gay is hard enough, but between small-town prejudices and the growing AIDS epidemic dominating the headlines, a town like Warren, Wyoming, is no place for two young men to fall in love.

One night with Lamar Franklin is all it takes to convince Dominic he’s found the man of his dreams. Unfortunately, that one night is all he’ll get before Lamar returns to Tucson.

Fifteen years later Lamar returns to Coda, Colorado, after ending the latest in a string of bad relationships. He’s alone, depressed, and plagued by late-night phone calls from an unidentified caller. Lamar’s ready to give up when he comes face-to-face with his past.

Since he was seventeen, Dominic has dreamed of a reunion with Lamar, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready for it now. Facing small-town rumors and big-family drama is bad enough, but Dominic won’t risk losing custody of his teenage daughter, Naomi. The only solution is to make sure he and Lamar remain friends and nothing more. Clothes stay on, no matter what.

It seems simple enough. But for better or worse, Lamar has other ideas.

Review: A welcome return to the Coda family! Several characters from the Coda series make an appearance in this story of first love and second chances. Our favorite public servant, Jared’s hubby Matt plays a big role investigating Lamar’s stalker and he introduces him to his sexy hubby Jared and of course my personal favorite the edgy and king of dry Angelo.

Zach is briefly in and out of scenes, eyeing Lamar, getting sexy with Angelo, and being his laid back self. I love how Lamar discovers this small gay community in Coda and it gives him strength, and he needs that to handle the violence against him as well as handling his ill-defined relationship with Dominic.

Dominic is a pretty well predicted case of closeted gay single dad. I already knew how the daughter would react but the author tortures him, and us along the way as Dominica deals with his fears of coming out and grabbing some happiness for himself and reaching for Lamar.

What I found most interested about this story line is the comparison of the two ways Dominica and Lamar react as they met each other initially and again 15 years later. Their first meeting was instant sparks, hot and heavy, a brief whirlwind of sexual experiences, and then they parted…and life rattle don.

The second time is intense, but drawn out, by Lamar’s reluctance to be intimate as well as Dominic’s need to curb his desires. The fact that they get to know one another again over days of Lego building is a fun twist, kind of like Angelo, Zach and puzzles.

Overall this is a sweet, scary, sad, and haunting, slow build to a long deserved happiness. Snapshots of what it’s like to live with depression, what it’s like to be in an emotionally abusive relationship, what it’s like to fear showing the world who you are, what it’s like to jump off that cliff, all of these come together to create a heartwarming read. It’s nice to visit with old friends, and introduce new characters we can all fall in love with.

Oh and I love that Angelo still jerks Matt’s chain, making him wildly jealous when it comes to Jared! A recommended read, can stand alone, but I say read the whole series!

L.A. Review: Graham and Jackson have been friends since childhood, though for Graham it has been much more than just friendship. They both ride the rodeo circuit and have been rodeo partners for years. One night at regionals both men were drinking heavily, they were drunk, lonely and horny and both acted on a mutual attraction. Ever since that night a year ago their relationship has been strained.

Graham is sure he is gay but every-time the action gets past kissing he panics and runs. Until one night he has a run in with one of the animal rights protestors. Kaz is young, sexy and outspoken. Kaz and Graham have a personal run in and Graham finds himself intrigued by young Kaz.

I have to say after reading the excerpt at the beginning of the book I was definitely Roped.*giggles at the pun* I can’t really say much more than I have above without spoilers. The story is character driven and I have to say I loved both Kaz and Graham.

The story is a good case of opposites attract. Two men couldn’t be much different than these two. I am a big fan of both L.A Witt and Marie Sexton. I loved how they showed the attraction immediately upon meeting with short sentences that just seem to pop. As they were describing Kaz from Graham’s view in a confrontation at a Rodeo where Kaz is protesting, after the short effective description; Graham thought…And cute. Those two words were powerful. They seemed to set the stage. It was a cue that for more to come. And boy was there more to come!

As I said, the excerpt in the beginning of the book roped me in, the powerful writing kept me tied to the story.  I wasn’t able to stop once I started and the ending left me wanting more! For those of you who like to know ahead of time, I will say it was a happy for now ending. It’s not a cliff hanger; the story was beautifully resolved in a way that for me hinted that there could be much more to come. Yes, I am seriously hoping this is the beginning of a series, because I want more on Kaz and Graham and Jackson too.

For those of you wondering about the mild BDSM, it is mild, but let me tell you it’s hot and sexy. If you like a story with some hot sex, a little rope play but no real D’s or spanking, a sweet story that is also hot but not overly descriptive, A story with some twists and turns, Vegans, Animal rights Activists, and of course Cowboys, this is for you.

I highly recommend this for those of you that have been wanting to try a Male/Male romance, or like a sweet MM romance and wanted to sample a bit of the BDSM genre. This story is a good starter!

Blurb: When Brandon Kenner shows up at Kasey Ralston’s garage with a 1970 Chevelle SS 454, Kasey is smitten by both the man and his car. But Kasey is a mechanic with a shameful secret. He has a fondness for old muscle cars, a fondness that goes far beyond what most people would consider normal. So between what Kasey considers a disgraceful fetish and his long estrangement from his family, he finds it easiest to be alone, even distancing himself from his coworkers.

But it doesn’t take Brandon long to guess Kasey’s secret, and he doesn’t think the sexy mechanic’s fetish is weird. In fact, he likes it, and he makes no secret of his intentions to seduce the man.

Review: Kasey has an unusual kink that he keeps hidden, but when Brandon drives into the garage Kasey works in a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 Kasey is quickly smitten, with the driver and the car.

Review:  Marie wraps up this series beautifully; bringing the lessons and strengths we’ve gathered from each character together to literally bring this family together! If you’ve followed the series you know this one’s about Jon and Cole adopting, and boy do we feel the fear, hope, and over all stress that process takes on! We run the gambit of emotions with Cole and Jon as they deal with trying to adopt a child while also handling their own family dynamics. Especially enjoyable was Jon’s father, George’s, point of view during segments of the story. Marie pulled it all together with love, passion, pain, fear, forgiveness, and yes, even those sexy scenes she writes so well. For me this story was a great close to the series. Showing us the importance of family, love, commitment, and letting us imagine the wonderful journeys ahead. This book definitely gives us hope!

‘Flowers for Him’ by Marie Sexton and Rowan Speedwell

He wanted to learn about beauty. He never expected to learn about love.

Billionaire Chandler Harrison’s third marriage is now history, and he’s left with his ex-wife’s parting barb, “You have no appreciation of beauty.” Determined to prove her wrong, Chandler hires artist Neil Sweeney to add a mural to his office wall. He doesn’t even care what the picture is, as long as it’s beautiful.

Neil Sweeney is an ex-tagger, a free spirit, and a bit of a hippie. He’s never met anybody as uptight as Chandler, but when it comes to warming up Chandler’s cold, stark office, Neil has plans involving more than art.

Chandler begins to find himself strangely moved by the mural developing on his office wall. He’s especially moved by the artist himself. Chandler has denied his homosexual urges for most of his life, but it isn’t long before Neil begins introducing Chandler to all kinds of new things. As Neil’s masterpiece comes to life, so does Chandler’s appreciation for art, color, and the best kind of beauty of all—love.

Review:  I thought this story was very beautiful. I loved the depth of both characters. I loved the way they just sort of meshed together and the storyline is just sweet and swoon-worthy, the sex super- hot! Wow great story!

‘Vital to Him’ by SL Majors

Hot sex in the back of a limo? Billionaire Brenton Marston is stunned when his street-wise chauffeur welcomes him home in a way he never expected, and Brenton wonders who is really in the driver’s seat.

No fraternizing…

Billionaire Brenton Marston has rules meant to keep the boundaries clear. He respects his employees and never wants anyone to feel as if they owe him anything.

Robert Silles, the reformed hoodlum, has desired his boss for years. Robert has fantasized about introducing Mr. Marston to the pleasures of man-on-man sex, fucking him and sucking him until he forgets his numerous stresses.

When his trusted chauffeur suggests a hook-up, Brenton is stunned, but he knows he shouldn’t be. No one knows him better than the man who’s seen him at his best as well as his worst.

It shouldn’t surprise him that Silles knows him and his innermost secrets. In fact, Silles recognized the truth before Brenton ever did.

Silles’ suggestive offer turns Brenton on. Damn if he isn’t attracted to this broad, handsome, sexy man, in a way he never wanted anyone else.

The question is, will Brenton push aside his inhibitions and reservations? Will he allow his chauffeur to give him what he craves? Will he willingly surrender to the orders of his servant?

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of M/M, rimming, anal sex, spanking with leather belt and hand and sex outdoors

Review:  I thought this story was so hot.  I loved the way the roles were reversed and the driver took charge.  I loved both characters. Hot sexy story Wow!

‘Fly to Him’ by J.P. Bowie

A young flight attendant gets a billionaire’s attention in a way that could have meant the end of his career, but instead could be the beginning of an unexpected romance.

When Kevin Tate takes over for a friend as flight attendant on billionaire Logan Maguire’s private jet, he is certain it will be his one and only time aboard when he accidentally dumps an ice-cold drink on his employer’s lap. Instead, an instant attraction flares between the two men and Kevin accepts Logan’s offer to stay with him at his villa in Puerta Vallarta.

Their fledging romance is abruptly brought to an end when Logan hurries back to the States on a desperate mission to save his company from a hostile takeover. Kevin is left wondering if success and wealth is more important to the billionaire than the chance of love and real happiness.

Review:  This story was pretty hot. I did find it a bit odd that the billionaire just jumped the new attendant and they went straight for the bedroom. Having said this, I am like a love at first sight story I just think this should have been worked into a bit more gradually but it was a very hot sexy story. I loved it

‘Enough for Him’ by Em Woods

When secrets come to light, two men must realize that, despite their fears, the love they have really is enough.

When software mogul Shannon Murphy is requested to appear at an international convention to accept an innovation award, he’s honored. But when the invitation arrives and requires the attendance of his fictional partner, he needs a plan. There is only one man he wants, one man he trusts, to help him. He turns to personal assistant and best friend Noah Greene.

Noah isn’t sure if this is his most secret desire come true, or his worst nightmare. Once the media connects them in a relationship, no secret will be safe, and Noah is positive that Shannon won’t be comfortable in the reflected spotlight of a recovering gambling addict. Unable to turn away his friend, Noah decides to do this one favor for Shannon before sacrificing everything he’s worked so hard to build and walking away.

Review:  Wow words can’t say how much I loved this one!  Everything was fabulous. The both characters are so endearing with their plight for love of one another and why they haven’t pursued anything other than friendship.  The story line intriguing and written with finesses and wit and charm, the sex is hot. I just can’t say enough!
‘Surrendered To Him’ by Sara York

When the storm hits, everything changes. Will shifting priorities lead to a shift in life, or will Storm Bennett abandon his heart’s desires?

Storm rules the Bennett Empire with an iron fist, never taking time to allow emotions into his life, leaving him looking like the bad guy in the media over and over again. When a typhoon hits the island where one of his hotels is located, he sees it as a chance to repair his damaged reputation.

Can he risk his newfound peace, giving a part of himself to Storm, or will he stay detached, allowing love to slip away?

Review:  This story is very heart warming. A big-shot finally learning that life is more than money but can he live without money can love be enough? You must read this and see.  I am a huge, huge Sara York fan and she did not disappoint here!  A great story and very hot mansex

‘Designs For Him’ by Noelle Keaton

Normally all business when it comes to his career, Jon finds the lines between the professional and the personal getting blurred after falling in love with billionaire CEO Warren

After months of unemployment, Jon Pritchard finds work with Cressen Furniture, the ‘American IKEA’, in a low-level job. A software program he creates in his free time attracts the interest of Warren Cressen, the interim CEO of Cressen Furniture, who quickly gives Jon a promotion.

The attraction between the two men is undeniable, and it isn’t long before they act on it, though they agree to be discreet until Warren’s position as CEO is made permanent.

Their relationship grows serious, but it is tested when evidence is discovered that seems to point to Jon being a corporate spy and Warren starts to wonder if he hasn’t been used all along.

With the highest professional stakes on the line, Jon and Warren have to decide whether the professional success they share in the boardroom is worth sacrificing the passion they share in the bedroom.

Review:  Another great story in a very hot collection.  This story had great characters and a great story. The attraction was mutual then the thought of betrayal and mistrust and boardroom scandal.  Just when you thought things was going so well. This story will have you on your toes. It’s hot and sexy with a twist you don’t see coming.

Recommendation: If you like anthologies this is one to get. Everything about it is fabulous. An A list of fantastic authors, stories of scandal, boardroom sex, friends to lovers, mile high club, storms and devastation, art,  and some great hot mansex. A must read!

Blurb:  Sometimes family chooses you.

How does a man get to be forty without knowing whether he’s gay? That’s a question Vince Fierro is almost afraid to answer. If he is gay, it’ll be a problem for his big, fat Italian family. Still, after three failed marriages, he can’t help but wonder if he’s been playing for the wrong team.

There’s only one way to settle it, once and for all—head for Chicago’s Boystown bars, far from anyone who knows him. Naturally, he runs smack into someone from the neighborhood.

Between working two jobs, going to school, taking care of his grandmother, and dealing with his mother’s ongoing substance abuse, Trey Giles has little time for fun, let alone dating someone who swears he’s straight. Yet after one night of dancing cheek-to-cheek to the sultry strains of Coltrane, Trey finds himself wanting to help Vinnie figure things out—no promises, and no sex.

It seems like a simple plan, until their “no-sex” night turns into the best date of their lives and forges a connection that complicates everything.

Warning: This book deals with alcoholism, broken promises, and overbearing little sisters.

Review:  A comforting read.

There’s just something really warm about this story that makes reading this fun and easy. I read this over a couple of cold, wintery evenings, and it was like having hot chocolate and marshmallows.

It’s all fun and games until somebody loses a shoe…

Eldon Cinder would give anything to see Prince Xavier one last time, but only women are invited to the royal ball. When the local witch offers to make Eldon female for just one night, he agrees.

One spell. One night. One dance.

What could possibly go wrong?

Review: Ooooohhhhhh this is ssssssoooooo sweet and it is a fantastic twist to Cinderfella. Eldon Cinder is treated like a slave by his aunt and 2 cousins, when he meets Prince Xavier in the woods they strike up a friendship and become good friends.

This was really well written and I loved the twist of the cousin being mistaken for the missing girl, ooohhh aaahhh, you know this would make a great Pantomime. This is sweet, cute and marshmallow-y (don’t think that’s a real word), Eldon has always left a treat for the witch in the woods so for one night she gives him the chance to see Xavier one last time, what follows is a comedy of errors that leads us to a wonderful ending where the Prince marries the girl/man of his dreams.

Both characters are really good and although the romance is slow, the friendship is the main selling point for me, they got to know each other and respect each other as people instead of Prince and Servant and there was a foundation for their relationship to build upon. The cousins were really hateable (nicely done), the aunt forgettable and Milton the dog was the star of the show.

This one I recommend to those who love fairy-tales, fantasy, cousins getting what they deserve, sneaky Princes and a happy ever after.

Blurb:  Levi Binder is a Miami bartender who cares about only two things: sex and surfing. Ostracized by his Mormon family for his homosexuality, Levi is determined to live his life his own way, but everything changes when he meets massage therapist Jaime Marshall.

Jaime is used to being alone. Haunted by the horrors of his past, his only friend is his faithful dog, Dolly. He has no idea how to handle somebody as gorgeous and vibrant as Levi.

Complete opposites on the surface, Levi and Jaime both long for something that they can only find together. Through love and the therapeutic power of touch, they’ll find a way to heal each other, and they’ll learn to live as sinners in a family of saints

Review: This has got to be one of the sweetest romances that I have ever read. Levi Binder wants nothing more than complete acceptance of his family but when he doesn’t get it, well, he might as well live up to his sin. Jaime Marshall lives in near seclusion until Levi burst’s into his life, after he reject’s Levi’s advances they become good friends.

This is an incredibly written story which will hold you in its grip as you join these men on their friendship and their struggles. The longing that Levi has for Jaime is poignant; the way these friends interact is wonderful. Levi knows that Jaime has something traumatic in his past and tries to help him any way he can, while being patient and hoping for more. Jaime fights his way through his fear just to have Levi as a friend and he doesn’t know if he will ever be ready for anything more.

The description of both these men’s feelings whether it was happy, sad, fearful or angry is wonderful, Levi’s family is quite involved in this story and I found how Marie Sexton handled the religion and homosexuality view to be inspiring.

This is a true wonderful loving romance and I would recommend it to everyone.
