Blurb: Welcome to Tucker Springs, Colorado, where sparks fly when opposites attract—but are some obstacles too great to overcome?

When tattoo artist Seth Wheeler meets his new neighbor, it’s like a revelation. Darren Romero is everything Seth wants in a man: hot, clever, single, and interested. For a minute he seems perfect. Then Darren drops the bomb: he moved to Tucker Springs to be a pastor at the New Light Church.

As a gay man whose parents threw him out, Seth has a strict policy of keeping believers at arm’s length for self-preservation. But Darren’s perseverance and the chemistry bubbling between them steadily wear down his defenses.

In a small town like Tucker Springs, Seth can’t avoid Darren—or how much he wants him. Which means he needs to decide what’s more important: protecting himself, or his feelings for his neighbor.

Review: LA Witt is an author whose work I will grab regardless.  I have yet to read a book by this author that I did not like. Witt has a keen eye for details and possess the ability to transform the reader directly into her world. Likeable characters, realistic situations and some of the steamiest sex scenes I’ve ever read!

For those of you that read book 1 in this series, Where Nerves End, you will immediately recognize Seth. The openly gay, laid back tattoo artist hasn’t always had an easy life. Shunned by his fanatical family when he came out to them in college, he had to learn to make his own way in life quickly, when all communication and funding for college were abruptly cut off. He has a good life now with a good job, an apartment and a fantastic close-knit group of friends.

When sex on a stick Darren moves into the apartment across the hall, the animalistic attraction between the two is instantaneous. Darren wastes no time getting Seth into his bed. When Seth learns that Darren is minister, he immediately withdraws from him. The pain of his past hasn’t faded and he subconsciously groups Darren in the same class with his family. But, he can’t stop thinking about the minister with his dark hair and eyes and a dry, witty sense of humor that makes Seth laugh.

Seth tries very hard not to want Darren, but the fact that the two of them can’t be around each other for very long without ending up in bed doesn’t help his flimsy resistance. Unlike Seth, Darren knows exactly what he wants and what he wants is Seth. When Darren approaches the subject of taking their relationship beyond just the bedroom, Seth’s self preservation mode kicks in. Will the harsh words he says create a rift between the pair that can’t be undone? Or will Darren forgive the man he’s fallen in love with, the man that’s also fallen in love with him, but won’t admit it, not even to himself.

The story flows effortlessly and before I knew it I was at the end. The characters are both flawed and carry some pretty serious baggage, but this only makes them more believable and likeable in the end. The sex is sensual, steamy and well conveyed by the author. This is a must read for any M/M fans.

Moonstruck

Aleksandr Voinov & L.A. Witt

Anthony Rawson is screwed. Fans, producers, and his agent are all chomping at the bit for the next book in his wildly popular Triple Moon series, but he’s got epic writer’s block and is way behind deadline. Then he reads Axis Mundi, a fanfic novel by his online friend “SirMarrok.” It isn’t just a great story—it’s exactly what the series needs.

Samir Daoud is thrilled when “Ulfhedinn” wants to meet up after reading Axis Mundi. When Ulfhedinn turns out to be Anthony Rawson himself, Samir is starstruck. When Anthony tells him he wants to add Axis Mundi to the Triple Moon series, Samir is sure he’s being pranked. And when their online chemistry carries over—big-time—into real life, Samir is convinced it’s all too good to be true.

The problem is … it might be. The book deal, the sex, the money—everything is amazing. But fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and Samir is left wondering if Anthony really loves him, or just loves his book.

This 95,000-word novel has been previously published under a different title.

Blurb: — Being kidnapped by two werewolves is an adventure after all, right? Right?! —

Quinn

If Quinn wants to get the best photos for his travel blog, no gate is too tall, and no ‘do not enter’ sign actually means he won’t go in. What he finds in a hidden exclusion zone by Chernobyl blows his mind. Mutants? Monsters? He doesn’t know, but he is bound to find out when not one but two of them break into his hotel.
Too bad the rules and attitudes they have toward sex don’t match Quinn’s at all.

Dima

Born with a disabled hand, smaller than the other werewolves, Dima is the lowest of the low in his pack, but when he meets the loveliest human he’s ever seen, he knows his luck has changed.
The last thing he expects though is his beloved friend Nazar turning on him once Dima’s affection for Quinn deepens, and he refuses to be mounted by Nazar anymore.

Nazar

Nazar is a high ranking soldier in his pack, but in his powerful body hides a gentle soul, and all he wants is to escape the pack with Dima. But once Dima claims Quinn as his, secrets Nazar has so far kept hidden rear their ugly head.
The werewolf language doesn’t have words to describe what they crave, so Quinn might be the only one to help them solve the puzzle of the desires that go against the rules of their pack.

Shorty’s Review: 💖💖💖💖💖4 1/2 Hearts

Quinn has wanted to visit Chernobyl and take pictures so he goes on a tour. The guides strongly caution them not to go into the darkened area on the map. Of course Quinn does not listen. There he discovers a beast roaming around but it seems friendly. He ends up having to be rescued due to injuring himself.

Dima is the werewolf he met. Dima tells his lover Nazar what he experienced and the two hatch a plan to snare themselves a human. I liked these three together. Nazar only turned human once. The rest he is in werewolf form, but Dima stole my heart. I felt for him and what he has been thrown being the bottom of the pack and disfigured. I like that Nazar took up for him when he noticed others picking on him.

It was an interesting mix of characters and details surrounding the pack that lives near Chernobyl.

Great read.

Lisa’s Review: 💖💖💖 3 Hearts

Nazar is one of the stronger wolves and Dima’s protector. He has a big heart and loves Dima quite a bit. He protects Dima, because to the pact Dima is not only the lowest of the pack but should have been culled at birth. They are at different ends of the spectrum when it comes to the pack.

Quinn is a travel blogger and pretty good at his job. He looks for the unexpected and usually gets in trouble for it. So here he was looking at the old land after the big bomb destroyed much of it, to what it looked like now. Here his guides were warning him and the others to stay away from the black zone, well Quinn is stubborn to say the least. He heads straight for it and comes across something he had never expected, Dima in werewolf form.

Kidnapped by two werewolves is not exactly what he had expected but his curiosity is going to get him into trouble. Dima is the one that falls first, but a threesome is going to be in his future.

Ok first off I am going to say that this was the longest feeling book I have ever came across. It had more detail to it but it didn’t turn out the way it was suppose to in my eyes. It felt a bit off and fell flat in many parts. I didn’t care for the characters at all, except for Dima. Quinn was an ass and didn’t really show me that he truly loved Dima. As for Nazar, he still called Dima his brother instead of his mate near the end. Plus he turns on Dima, who was suppose to be his best friend, just because he has feelings for another. It just felt off to me.

Overall I couldn’t get into the book like I should have. It was a bit on the dull side and didn’t really catch my attention at all. I felt disappointed in it and can’t say that I would read it any more than this one time.

Review: Two best friends who just seem to be in tune with each other, leave to join the war. They go in different directions only to find each other down the road once more. A kiss at a pond keeps them remembering each other then things do change. Now many years afterwards they find each other one last time. They are still so much in tune with each other but love shows the way, well with the help of an angel. Roger and Jack are definitely a team that are meant to be together, but in a time where it was dangerous and deadly.

I will be honest that I had not checked this book out until now. I am not a fan of historical’s in any way, so when I read the blurb right before starting to read it, I had a feeling that it was not going to go so well. I do not like the past and for two men it would have been dangerous to be gay. However it was a well written story and with the author being who it is, I knew it would be. It actually kept my attention a little better than most books that are in the past. I really liked the guys and liked the fact that they did not pretend to be anything different then who they were. They never came out but they didn’t marry some female to hide behind. So that was a good sign. Now it catch my attention when I started reading as well which gave me a sense of the fact that this was going to be a good story.

I didn’t care for the parents and could have done with out them. However the story was pretty well developed with beautiful characters. I did like it but it won’t be one of those that will be read more than the first time. I am just afraid that this book just wasn’t my kind of story and didn’t really give me that oh my god spark.

Review:  I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this book. I mean, it looked interesting and the blurb kinda had me thinking of those ridiculous MF Mills and Boon romances. Luckily, I’m a complete sucker for those types of books, so I was ready to give it a go. Even with my limited knowledge of the author, LA Witt. I know of Witt’s work but to be brutally honest, I think I’ve read a book or two that I have absolutely no recollection of. I mean, the books are in my collection, I just really don’t remember them whatsoever.

I was pleasantly surprised by the book. Just as the blurb says, Hayden Somerset is desperate dangerously close to running out of money, just as his two roommates/best friends are. In a desperate attempt to raise some funds, he responds to what could be the most ridiculous personal ad ever published if it is sincere, but it seems much more likely it is some weird sexual predator or serial killer would post an ad stating that a man is willing to pay over a million dollars for a husband. I like the fact that this book doesn’t pull any punches before letting us suspend our disbelief and fall in love with the guy posting the ad!

The man posting the ad is Jesse Ambrose. He comes from Hollywood royalty but his father has some major political aspirations. Being California, his father needs to look very liberal because the simple fact is the old man is quite conservative. Jesse wants to draw out his father and expose him for the liar he is by marrying a man – something that his father has threatened to disown him for. It’s one thing for Jesse to be gay, but he is forbidden to marry a man.

However, another point that I really liked about this this book, normally, this type of book tends to be written as an insta-love kind of book. The blurb presents a fairly simple story line, which had me worried because it was quite long and so could also be quite boring. It was certainly light hearted, like most of this type/theme, but there was a lot more. Jesse and Hayden are really complex characters. I don’t want to go into any of those little personal stories that make the men who they are, that is the most important part of this novel, but I really enjoyed getting to know these guys, what motivates them and finding out who they really are on the inside. I enjoyed that love developed slowly.

This was a totally enjoyable read. This is the type of book that would appeal to people who like a bit of glitz and glamour with a dash of family drama. Even if the family drama is acted out on the national political and social stage. The story has a lot of heart, with one man trying to do something right in the most unconventional way, while two men fight not to fall in love because true love isn’t in either man’s plan.

Rabi and Matthew

by

L.A. Witt

A queer retelling of Romeo & Juliet, except no one has to bury their gays.

A decades-old family rivalry is reaching a boiling point as the patriarchs vie for a seat in Congress. Democrat vs Republican, Muslim vs Christian, Hashmi vs Swain — the Midwestern town of Arbor Hills is one spark away from an explosion of violence. So when two men find themselves irresistibly drawn together at a party, only to discover they were born on opposite sides of a bloody battle line, Matthew Swain and Rabi Hashmi know they should leave well enough alone.

The pull between them is magnetic, though, and it’s too strong to ignore. Unable to resist, they meet again in secret. Generations of hatred can’t temper the passionate love growing between them, but two men falling for each other in the middle of a war zone can’t hold back the inevitable clash.

And when decades of political, religious, and personal strife finally come to a head, there will be blood.

Review: They are in a world of hurt. Rich joined the U.S. Marshals right after the marines. He had joined the marines to prove to everyone that he was a strong man, turns out he hadn’t needed to prove it to his father. Now he wanted to get the bad guys, but WITSEC was not what he had wanted. Now here he was going to protect someone who was definitely not innocent. He was part of the mob and new what bloodshed look like. However Rich had not expected the man to be who he was.

Leo had been born into the family. A half-breed who wasn’t treated like an enforcer should be, but then again being gay in the mob is a death sentence. Which is how he got to be in the spot he is in. Matteo had killed his own brother on the say so of their father because Tony and Leo had not been so careful. The only reason he made it out of there alive was for his boyfriends sister. Now on the run he didn’t know who to trust, except for the marshall that was in the same kind of trouble as he was. The mob wanted him dead and it would seem so did some of the good guys.

I have not read any stories by this author and lets just face it she is the bomb. Talk about an action packed story that has some hot sexy time mixed in with it. There is explosions, gun shots, death and destruction going on all around them. It is a longer story than what I had expected, but damn if the story didn’t just keep me captivated with it all. Which was a nice surprise after reading some really horrible stories lately. I absolutely loved the guys and damn if they are not in for a world of pain.

I only had one issue with this book and that was the ending. I didn’t see anything that made me think this would go into book two and left me hanging at the end. I wanted to know what happened and wham it just stopped. It was well written and the plot rocked. This is one of the best suspense stories I have came across in a while and I do hope there is a second book in the works.

I had a lot of fun reading this and would definitely recommend it.

Review:  I have had the pleasure of reading several stories by this author and when I came across this, I knew I wanted to read it.  If you have ever been in the military or been a dependent many of the things in this are familiar.  My dad was an Army man who had done a couple of tour in Vietnam, but I really can’t remember most of that since I was a very small child.  My dad retired when I was in the third grade, so I didn’t have to change schools that much.  But after reading this story, I can tell you that I am probably very lucky.

This story caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end.  The characters were perfect for the story and I have to tell you that Sean’s dad was a hoot.  Most of the guys I knew that were military are old school military so I could imagine how they would react to the fact that their son was gay to begin with.  Sean’s dad was perfect in so much as he was very accepting, didn’t blink an eye and basically said I knew you were gay when you were six.  It was a blast to hear that part.  I also know how families can be destroyed also by the military as in marriages.  It would be hard for many to be separated from their spouses for so long.  Also, the fact that someone who wanted to go further and then to give it up, would probably be a hard choice also.  So I was not ready for this story in a way, just waiting to see what would happen.

Sean’s father divorced his mother when he was just fourteen, but basically lived with his dad from that point on.  He changed schools and lost friends over the years, but now was the true test.  He picked up a man who just broke up with another, and the sparks flew.  He had no clue who Paul really was, until he mentioned his father was stationed at the same base.  Paul was his commanding officer and now the hard choices had to be made.

Paul had ended another relationship because of his career.  To meet and slowly fall for a younger man was a surprise.  Then he found out who he was with, or should I say he realized Sean’s father was under him in the military.  He had wanted to fly and that ended with a crash, now he wanted to be admiral, but he had to make the choice.  Would he give it up for love or would he continue his career.  Not to mention Sean’s fathers input into this, well you will just have to wait and see what happens.

I have never really been a fan of long books that are drawn out to the point of my losing sight, but this book made it easier.  I do admit that I kind of skimmed over some parts of it, but not because I was bored with it. I just don’t do very well with long ass stories.  However just a few pages was all it was, because as soon as I got to a page, well damn I had to go back to those other pages.  This book was entertaining and very enticing.  I always did love a man in uniform.

Now the craving Sean part was a bit over used and even though the sex was hot, it was rocked with the knowledge of what could happen if someone found out just didn’t work well for me.  I mean let’s face it these guys were meant to be together.  It just was a bit too much for me in the story.  Brought me down a bit, however the author picked it right back up to give me a happy ending.

This is one story that I had a blast with and cannot wait for the next book to come out.  I can guarantee that you will get a kick out of this book.

Skin to skin contact is illegal. Sex? A felony. Insulated suits and gloves keep people from even the most platonic touches. Citizens line up in droves at simhouses for their rationed, prescribed orgasms in virtual reality machines.

Keith Borden has worked in a simhouse for years, and he’s never been tempted to break the strict no-contact laws… until Aiden Maxwell comes along. The attractive and dangerously flirtatious patient invites him into the seedy underground where people engage in real, wireless sex. Though Keith stands to lose his career and his freedom, he’s curious and Aiden is irresistible.

From the moment he sets foot in the wireless lounge, Keith is in a world of flesh and fantasy. He’s hooked. On the sex, on the atmosphere, and most of all, on Aiden. Years of keeping everyone in his world at arm’s length have left Keith craving a human touch, and Aiden offers all the contact—scorching sex, gentle affection, and everything in between—Keith can handle.

That is, until an unexpected act of betrayal throws Keith’s world into chaos, and he finds himself more alone than he ever imagined possible…

This 55,000-word novel was previously published, and has been extensively revised and rewritten from its first edition.

Maybe it’s a sin, but he’s too lonely to not let men into his bed, and too scared to let them into his heart.

The virgin isn’t the only one with something to lose…

Self-described manwhore Kieran Frost is loving the single life. Two years after moving to Seattle, he still has his friends with benefits, Rhett and Ethan, plus a never-ending supply of gorgeous, available men wandering through the bar where he works. A relationship? Spare him the drama and heartbreak. He’s got no complaints about his unattached lifestyle.

When Rhett’s daughter introduces him to newly-out-of-the-closet Alex Corbin, Kieran’s interest perks up. After all, the quiet ones are always the freaks in bed. But Alex isn’t just shy and reserved. He’s a virgin in every sense of the word, having never even kissed anyone else.

Kieran is no one’s teacher, and his first instinct is to run like hell in the other direction. But his conscience won’t let him throw the naïve kid to the wolves for someone else to take advantage of. The plan is to introduce Alex to his own sexuality, pull him out of his shell, then go their separate ways.

It’s the perfect, foolproof plan…assuming no one falls in love.

Blurb: Luke Emerson is the last person Sebastian Wakefield expects to see strolling into his tattoo shop. But Luke’s not back after four years to take up where they left off. Not even to apologize for the cheating that broke them up.

Luke wants a custom tattoo, a memorial for someone known only as “A.J.” Much as Seb would love to tell Luke to take this ink and shove it, he’s a professional. Plus, he’s reluctant to admit, he wouldn’t mind getting his hands on Luke again. Even if it’s just business.

Once Luke’s in the tattoo chair, though, Seb finds himself struggling with all the anger and resentment he thought he’d left behind—and those aren’t the only feelings reignited. Their relationship may have been turbulent, but it was also passionate. Four years clearly hasn’t been long enough for the embers of that fire to go cold.

A few subtle hints from Luke is all it takes to make Seb consider indulging in some of that physical passion. It shouldn’t be that tough to keep his emotions from getting tangled up in sweaty sheets.

After all, it’s not like he’s in love with Luke anymore. Right?

Reviewer: Lisa

Review: Luke and Seb had once been in love but that had all ended with Lukes cheating and then leaving. Seb remembers it all and has mixed feelings. Now four years later Luke is back. Luke is back to get a tatto for someone that had died in the war. Seb doesn’t want to start over with the man he had loved, but his heart seemed to want something more.

Luke had been an asshat while they were in school. Never felt a moment of guilt until the last one. A.J. had been someone very special to him but not in the way Seb thought. A.J. had once told him to get off his ass and talk to Seb.

I actually liked what the story was about but not so much the story itself. It was a great idea and I truly felt that if it had been told in a different way then it would have been an amazing hit. However it is a slow moving story that focuses on the past and how much time between appointments and smoking. It just I don’t do cheating and usually won’t read a book where it is even a hint that one of the characters was that much of a creep. However with Luke finally growing up it actually came off ok.

The story itself is full of pain and you could feel it deep in your bones. It is a second chance at love but I didn’t really care for it. I also didn’t care for it being in just Seb’s words. You hear apologies, reasons and so forth, but it doesn’t really move me like it should have. I am sorry but this book just wasn’t for me.

As the dust settles in his new home, he barely recognizes his life, but he sure recognizes the loneliness creeping in.

But after a single moment of eye contact across the bar, Mark and Diego can’t resist each other. As a one-night stand quickly turns into more, Diego knows he’s playing with fire. Now he can stick around and let things with Mark inevitably fall apart, or he can run like hell and wonder what might have been. One way or another, Diego knows he’s about to get burned. Again.
