Review:This book is part of a series and must be read in order.
Candy is being buried with responsibility as he takes over the Hidden Gem, he micro manages and has little time for his friends and when he notices that Ivy is growing closer to Jack he gets jealous, but is he jealous of Jack or Ivy? Ivy has grown to love both Jack and Candy but can’t think of a way to get the two men together, with Jack’s lack of sexual interest and Candy’s near satyriasis needs Ivy doesn’t know if they would ever find a middle ground. Jack cares for both Ivy and Candy and is comfortable with Ivy’s sweetness and gentle caring but Candy’s aggressive needs scare the hell out of him. But when Candy is thrust into the middle of a murder investigation both Ivy and Jack pull together to protect the man they love.
We re-join the guys at Hidden Gem with a dazzling story that is so much more than the blurb hints at. We are able to catch up with the guys from the previous Hidden Gem books, Shane & Aki and Paris & Rain, and they are woven into the story beautifully, they enhance and give the story an extra development that takes Candy’s, Jack’s and Ivy’s story into a whole new realm.
Candy, Ivy and Jack are just perfect characters, we’ve met them in previous Hidden Gem stories and they shine as their own story unfolds. Candy has hidden scars just like Jack and Ivy, and as we delve into the story we get a glimpse at each man’s hidden pain. We see the vulnerability of each man and we root for them to find their way to each other. But as amazing as their relationship is the storyline is astoundingly fantastic!
OMG! I LOVED THIS STORY! We are pulled into this story as Jack is called in to help investigate the brutal murders of companions, suspicion falls on Candy as a Dom and then holy cow there’s a huge massive twist and a whole new storyline opens up, it’s just fantastic! I’m not even gonna hint at what happens next only to say that Paris and Rain’s problems in Cardinal Sin have just got a whole lot more complicated.
Yep that’s it guys, this is a story that I will recommend wholeheartedly to fantasy lovers everywhere, it’s a true work of art and Lissa Kasey has shown that she is a master of understated smack you in the face twists. She wrote this story in such a way that while I was anticipating a troubling time as Candy and his friends proved his innocence that I couldn’t, not in a million years, even imagine what was coming next. Because she was secretly plotting to shock the hell out of us with a twist so amazing that I was gobsmacked and devastated and eager for more.
I recommend Candy Land to those who love mismatched men finding love, paranormal and fantasy stories that still manage to amaze, a storyline that grips you by the throat and refuses to let go and an ending so good that you hope there will still be more to come.

Two cops walk into a bar. Mason, the bartender, waits for the punch line, because no way in hell are these ridiculously hot men real cops. They’re straight out of a cop-fetish fantasy. But he quickly learns that Jack and Gray are the real deal, and they want him in the worst way.
What starts as a night of hot, three-way sex becomes a lot more. The two cops fulfill Mason’s submissive fantasies, but they also meet a more basic need, comfort. They want to take care of Mason, to offer him unconditional friendship, but their concern for him unnerves Mason more than even the kinkiest sex.
To find happiness with his new partners, Mason must change his belief that love is as much a fantasy as a pair of gorgeous, handcuff-wielding cops landing in his bed.
Title: Jack of All Trades Series: Box of Nails, #4 Author: Sean Michael Genre: Contemporary / BDSM (Light) Length: Novella (137 pages) Publisher: Torquere Press LLC (September 30th 2015) Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥ 4 Hearts Blurb: Brad is crashing in his Cousin Stephen’s room while he tries to sort out his life. A perpetual student, he still hasn’t settled on a major after a half dozen years at University. He loves learning, but so far that’s the only thing that’s been a good fit.
Dill is a full-time Dom who hasn’t found the right sub yet. He’s not worried about it — he figures it’ll eventually happen and in the meantime, there’s plenty of boys at the Hammer Club who are eager to share a scene with an experienced master.
When Brad and Dill meet at a party at Barney and Devon’s house for subs, the attraction is immediate and undeniable and Master Dill feels that Brad is the perfect sub for him. He also believes that as his submissive, Brad will learn the focus he needs to fulfill his potential and find satisfaction with his life. Now he just needs to help jack-of-all-trades Brad see they belong together.
Review: This was a really cute read. The BDSM factor was pretty light to some of Sean Michael’s other Hammer type stories. Brad is not a cute little twink, he just happens to be couch surfing in his cousin’s room at the sub house. Brad is not really into the BDSM world, but it’s more from lack of knowledge than anything. That is until he meets Dom Dill at a sub house party.
The attraction is instant for these two. They connect and things move fast. Dill sees the lack of focus Brad has and finds a way to use his love of research and studying to help Dill with his work. I actually like that little way of getting Brad to be with him all the time. It was really a sweet way of helping Brad and at the same time getting closer to him.
Along the way Dill and Brad connect in the sexual way also. As most of Sean Michael’s books are, the sex was pretty damn hot and plentiful. I did enjoy the way Brad had an open mind and questioned things. He didn’t just immediately give over all control to Dill. They took things slowly in that regard.
A nice addition to the series and the Hammer world.

Title: Sunshine and Love Series: N/A Author: Doris O’Connor Genre: Contemporary/BDSM Length: Novella (62 Pages) Publisher: Evernight Publishing (September 20, 2015) Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥3.5 Hearts Blurb: He needs a nanny not a submissive…
Aaron Gibson is struggling with his many hats—single dad, business owner, Dom. His desperate search for a suitable nanny for his daughter Sunshine grinds to a halt when Jordan Carole walks into his office. This inked biker is certainly not your ordinary kind of nanny, but the man’s instant rapport with his daughter convinces Aaron that Jordan is perfect for the job.
All Aaron has to do is keep his hands off his nanny—simple, right? Well, it would be if the two men could ignore the combustible, sexual tension between them. Jordan wants nothing more than to be allowed to take care of his new boss and his adorable baby.
If only he could convince the stubborn man that Sunshine and Love is all they need.
Review: I haven’t had any experience with Doris’s books so I wasn’t sure what to expect. When coming across an author that I have not read, I am a bit leery of them. Although I don’t much care for short stories, because they grab you, tease you and then drop you. To be honest there are several mistakes that could have easily been avoided. Now I finished this book pretty easily however I needed more from it.
First off when interviewing a female for a nanny position and the girl hints that there could be something more, all I can say is run. However I do believe Aaron might have just been nuts. However he needs a nanny for his cutie pie of a daughter. I don’t think he expected one very sexy biker for the job. However his daughter knew the one she wanted it would seem.
Now the fact that this book comes off rushed is one of my issues and then there is the fact that it jumps time just drives me nuts. There is a problem with the way it is told also that will drive you to throwing the book across the room. The Dom and sub part is hot though. If not a bit bizarre. It comes off as a bit well off. I loved the fact that the nanny is a guy though. Also the fact that they can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves. Back to another problem though is the way they act towards each other is just funny as hell.
Now the cover is hot, the blurb gives you an idea of a story that will captivate you and then the story itself is not what I expected. I was hoping for a bit more in it. You can’t say that these two didn’t have chemistry though because hot damn they were smoking. Aaron is a dominate but I have to tell you that he acted the opposite in parts of it though. The way they acted with each other was what made the book though.
All over the story was a tad bit disappointing, but I had fun with it. I would like a bit more to the next story though. Not so much weirdness though. I can actually see myself reading this once more. I look forward to seeing what other stories this author has out.

Title: Jerricho’s Freedom Series: N/A Author: JC Wallace Genre: Dark Fantasy / BDSM (Light) / Mpreg Length: Novel (431 pages) Publisher: Amber Quill Press, LLC (June 14th 2015) Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 4 ½ Hearts Blurb: Jerricho never expected to fall in love with Rex, the sexy, construction foreman, but he did.
Too bad tradition forbids Jerry from marrying for love. Prince of the clandestine Anzuni demon clan, a Baelso (bearer of children), and a virgin at twenty-four, tradition dictates that Jerry marry a man chosen for him. Despite his soul-deep love for Rex, Jerry has no choice but to follow through with his obligation as prince and marry someone he doesn’t love.
But Jerry isn’t prepared for his dominant, aggressive fiancé who is interested in marrying him only for the future title of king. Facing the reality that he will lose his virginity to the cold man, Jerry flees to Rex for one night of passion. When Jerry finds himself pregnant with Rex’s baby, however, the actions of his enraged fiancé release Jerry from his marriage obligation.
But just when Jerry believes he will marry for love, he and Rex are ripped away from life as they know it. Betrayals, kidnappings, cruel experiments, pregnant men, and the reappearance of the Anzuni’s greatest enemy force Jerry and Rex to fight for their lives, their love, and their unborn child…
Review: Wow. Just Wow. I never actually know what I will get when I start reading a book by JC Wallace. But I know one thing, I am in for one hell of a ride. Damn did this deliver.
Jerricho, aka Jerry is twenty-four years old and still a virgin. Due to the traditions of his people he will be marrying the man of his parents’ choice in less than a year. A man he has not met nor loves. Not that it really matters. Except it does. Jerry has fallen in love with human Rex.
I felt for Jerry. He has spent years rebelling in any way he can. But he knows that the time will come when he will have little choice. Finally after meeting his “finance” for the first time, Jerry makes a decision to at least lose his virginity the way he wants and with someone he cares about. And that opens a whole hell of a lot trouble for everyone.
This book went all over the place, but in a good way. There is so much going on. So many twists and turns. There is a lot to keep up on. Like who to trust, who is a bad guy? Those Jerry and Rex thought they could trust turn out to be their enemy. Those they know are enemies turn out to be unwilling victims. Everything was topsy-turvy.
And the sex. Damn, I did not see that hotness coming. Jerry and Rex together were not what I was thinking they would be. No, they are a hell of a lot more steamy than that.
JC Wallace has created an interesting, unique, and intriguing world. The history of the Anzuni is a definite new spin on the demon myth.
The characters are well-developed, not just Jerry and Rex, but also the secondaries. For such a long book it was still very fast paced.
I found myself drawn into the story from the start and could not put it down until the very end. I needed to know what would happen next. Would they escape, would they be rescued, who would turn into an ally or enemy next? These were all things I would ask I was read.
Now I really hope there is a follow-up, because there are some situations left open-ended, that I would like to see explored and resolved.
This rollercoaster ride is well worth the read.

Title: Deathtrap Series: The Wyverns, # 2 Author: L.M. Somerton Genre: Contemporary Length: Novella (66 pages) Publisher: Totally Bound Publishing (July 14th 2015) Early Download Available June 16th 2015 Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 4 ½ Hearts Blurb: A man without scars never had to fight for something he believed in.
A new relationship takes time and effort. A new relationship with Orlando de la Pena takes a whole lot more. As a Dom, Rogue knows what he wants, but Orlando refuses to fit neatly into the box labeled ‘submissive’. He’s feisty, demanding and far too pretty for his own good.
Orlando loves Rogue and he’s learning to love The Wyverns, but he hates being stuck out in the desert. Finding a niche in the world of bikes and fierce warriors is difficult, and Orlando’s impatience gets the better of him. He walks out into the desert and runs into an antisocial diamondback.
Rogue has more than one problem to deal with. The Longhorns MC issues a challenge for territory. The Bellazi cartel is out for Wyvern blood.
The Wyverns are under siege, and Rogue has to work out how to save not just Orlando, but all of them.
Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of mild BDSM.
Review: This the second book in the Wyvern’s series.
Orlando is a feisty, smart man who is in love with Rogue, but feels like all he is a servant. When he decides to go out for a walk despite the danger he realizes he may have been a little too impulsive. Rogue is a dominating man who cares for Orlando deeply but has never told him. When Orlando’s live is in danger he realizes just how deep his feelings run.
I loved Orlando’s attitude in the face of large tough bikers. He seemed fearless and was not afraid to speak his mind. Rogue seemed to pay more attention to the club’s problems rather than Orlando’s needs until it was almost too late. So glad he came to his senses. These two seemed made for each other.
The fight between Wayne and Rogue was intense. I thought it was funny how Rogue took care of the Bellazi problem without having to lift a finger. Great read.

Title: The Boss Series: N/A Author: E.M. Leya Genre: Contemporary/Interracial Length: Novel (190 pages) Publisher: E.L. Publishing (July 31st, 2014) Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥4Hearts Blurb: Stephen has lived in the shadow of his powerful father for years, learning how to succeed in the world by watching him, problem is, power and money can change a person, and not always for the good.
Martin has suffered working with Stephen for years, standing by as he chased off one employee after another with his temper. He hates his boss and wishes someone would give the spoiled rich kid the spanking he deserves.
When the two face off, things get heated, but finding a solution might be easier than either thought. They come to an agreement to help keep Stephen’s temper under control and stop him from following his father’s example.
Trouble is, what starts out as simple office discipline soon isn’t enough, and with forces working against them, the two will have to try hard to overcome everything and everyone that is trying to keep them apart.
Review: I absolutely love Emma’s writing! I really liked this book although the beginning almost made me stop reading.
When Martin challenged Stephen and called him out for being a terrible boss and horrible person to his employees, I cheered him on…however, the spanking punishment was a bit of a stretch for me. It was a bit unbelievable that an employee who hated his boss so much would initiate such a sexual act. I understand it was the start of their sexual relationship and the foundation to the story but it was a little too much.
That being said, I did really like the rest of the story. Martin was lead a simple life…content to work hard to get what he wanted. He was a bit reclusive and closed off. Stephen was raised by money and social status. He was uptight and self-doubting, always trying to live up to his dad’s unrealistic expectations. He found security in the money he made but really wanted independence from his father. Martin and Stephen really balanced each other well. Once they were able to see past the masks in place and move from the superficial start, they became a beautiful couple.
Stephen’s dad was an insufferable, bigoted homophobe. He stressed the importance of social status and wealth over family and molded Stephen to follow in his footsteps. His role in the book leads to most of the angst and a surprisingly heartbreaking twist near the end.
The few secondary characters in the book worked really well. Overall, a pretty good, typical book for Ms. Leya.

Title: Looking At Forever Series: The Rock Gods, #4 Author: Ann Lister Genre: BDSM (lite) Length: Novel (419 pages) Publisher: Sleigh Farm Publishing (November 28th 2014) Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥5 Hearts Blurb: Mick Wheland, Ivory Tower’s bad-boy guitarist, has recently realized two important things about himself. He prefers sex with men over women, and the idea of a committed relationship doesn’t scare him as much as it once did. He’s seen the positive effects of love from watching his band-mates find life partners, and now he’s thinking he might be ready for the same himself.
The problem is knowing where to look for Mr. Right, and living out of a suitcase while touring with a band is not exactly conducive to finding real love.
Sonny (Rooster) Roostarelli leaves the seclusion of his Vancouver cabin, where he went to lick his wounds after a contentious divorce, and moves back to Los Angeles. He claims relocating to L.A. is for business purposes, but now that the dust has settled on his failed marriage, Rooster feels he might finally be ready to settle down – with a man.
A chance encounter for Wheland and Rooster on a busy L.A. street rekindles an old friendship between the two professional musicians. Rooster needs a short-term place to stay and Wheland has plenty of extra space at his hillside estate and that lands Rooster in Wheland’s guest room. What starts out as a music collaboration opportunity quickly turns personal when the chemistry they have becomes too strong to ignore and soon the music they’re making spills from the studio and into the bedroom.
The road is a grueling bitch musicians love to hate. Being on stage under the hot lights can sometimes be the only place they feel comfortable and alive. Can two high-profile rock stars make a life together in such an artificial world – on and off the stage… or will past mistakes and family secrets keep them from finding their forever?
Review: Mick Wheland has made a name for himself as Ivory Tower’s guitarist with an attitude. He experimented with his sexuality with his band mate and best friend, only to feel shunned when his friend fell in love with someone else. After a run of threesomes where he skirted the boundaries of straight sex, and an amazing one-night stand with a sexy waiter, Wheland has come to the conclusion that he just might be gay.
Sonny Roosterelli has recently returned to LA after a hiatus in Vancouver nursing his wounds from a bitter divorce. When he and Wheland bump into each other, an old friendship is re-kindled and Wheland offers Sonny his guest room while he’s in town. The two spend a lot of time together in the studio and soon the mutual attraction becomes palpable, resulting in an extremely erotic night that ends with both men wanting more than either of them expected.
Both men have been on the run from a serious relationship for varying reasons, but the connection, chemistry and communication they share convinces them to give a commitment with each other a chance. Old wounds, secrets and the pressure of being a real life rock and roll star prove to be more challenging than they initially expected. Do they want to be together enough to overcome any obstacle?
It is a work of art, in my opinion, when an author can take a character that is less than desirable and turn him into someone you are rooting for. That is what Lister did with Wheland. With the events and his actions in Make You Mine (book #3), I wasn’t very fond of him, but in this story Lister took the time and effort to explain why Wheland acted out and made the decisions he did. Then there was the addition of Sonny to the world of The Rock Gods, the perfect partner for Wheland. Slightly submissive but strong and assertive as well, sexy and loyal. Wheland needs an equal, a partner, someone who won’t put up with his bullshit, but is willing to bend to Whelands demands in the bedroom. They really are the perfect pairing.
I absolutely love this world of rock stars that have built their own chaotic family unit that Lister has created. Pick up any one of the books in this series and you will find three-dimensional characters, involved storylines, passionate relationships, and descriptive scenery with a ballad of friendship and love playing in the background.
A must read for those that like a little Rock and Roll with their romance, and there is a little light BDSM for this coupling as well. I recommend reading the books in order to understand the dynamics between friends and lovers, and while I have enjoyed each and every one of these books, Ryan and Dagger are still my favorite!

Title: Mantrap Series: The Wyverns #1 Author: LM Somerton Genre: Contemporary Length: Novella (67 pages) Publisher: Totally Bound Publishing (January 9th, 2015) Available for early download December 12th, 2014 Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥5Hearts Blurb: Not all cages have bars.
The Wyverns Motorcycle Club has a reputation as fierce as its dragon emblem. Its enigmatic leader, Rogue Hellaby, has a police file so thick you could prop up a table with it. The qualifications for membership are a reckless disregard for authority and the attitude of a spitting cobra. But, The Wyverns MC is not quite what it seems. All the riders have dubious histories in the military or the police—now they just serve and protect their own interests and those of Horatio Trap, the manipulative bastard who recruited them.
When Rogue receives an instruction to kidnap and hold hostage the son of a powerful drug lord, he doesn’t bat an eyelid. But Rogue has never had to deal with a captive like Orlando de la Pena. Orlando is furious—not because he’s being held prisoner, but because he’s prevented from partying at his favorite BDSM club. Rogue discovers that the only way to deal with Orlando is to become the Dom he so obviously needs. But Orlando’s father wants him back, and The Wyverns must face a battle that could cost them their lives.
Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of light BDSM.
Publisher’s Note: This story has been previously released as part of the Hard Riders anthology by Totally Bound Publishing.
Review: This was a really good book with action, danger, and drama. Rogue is a member of the Wyverns, a tough motorcycle gang with a reputation that precedes them. Orlando is the son of a powerful drug lord. Rogue is tasked with kidnapping Orlando. I loved how Orlando tried to fight off his kidnappers in the van.
I really enjoyed the interaction between Rogue and Orlando. Rogue is a tough, domineering man used to people obeying him. Orlando is a sarcastic, sub used to getting what he wants. When these two get together, it’s explosive. The shootout between the cartel goons and the wyvern’s was awesome. It was funny how Sheldon took out two goons who went to the house instead of where the shootout was. The sex between Rogue and Orlando was hot.
Absolutely fantastic read. Highly recommend it.

Blurb: College freshman Shane Hahn finds himself unexpectedly shuffled to a new dorm room–which is fine by him, but his over-involved mother takes one look at toothpick-chewing, motorcycle-riding Derek McClain, his new roommate, and gets on the phone with the school. The school requires that Shane be the one to file the room-change paperwork, but Shane’s reluctant.
He’s attracted to Derek’s independence, even though that independence means Derek has to pay his own way through college, which he does by making leather products (you know: belts, wallets…bondage gear) and selling it online. Shane isn’t even allowed to work while he’s in school, much less join a band, which is what he really wants to do with his life. Unfortunately, his parents are holding his guitar hostage until he can prove he’s taking his future seriously.
Purchase Link: http://www.loose-id.com/the-roommate-situation.html Review: I liked the idea of this book, and was really excited about reading it. Unfortunately, for me, it was just ok.
The pacing was the biggest problem for me, it was very slow and drawn out.
The book is set in College. Shane is a freshman finding his feet away from the tight reins of home. His original roommate commits suicide, so he gets moved to a new residence, cue Derek.
Derek is a mysterious leather wearing biker, who happens to have a business making leather items including bondage gear.
There was a lot of page filling, which made you understand about Shane’s parents control but in all honesty, it was too much, I just wanted to “get in to” the story.
Neither Shane or Derek have been with another guy so the initial get together was quite cool but for me it needed more depth- it wasn’t insta love but there was definite insta attraction/awareness.
I liked the way Shane and Derek were there for each other, with each of them having personal issues during the book. It showed a realistic mutual need and appreciation.
There was a fantastic scene created where Shane takes control, it truly had my toes curling. But sadly, that was the only one I really thought WOW about.
I think I was expecting a bit more from the kink, but it was very tame. I’m surprised the author didn’t have them experimenting more (maybe that’s in the next book).
I was most disappointed with the ending though, you finally get a feeling the story is going to get going and then Bam – THE END! There was no gradual ending, no closure, it was just done. I’m hoping there will be a follow-up book so we can see how the boys play out.
To summarize, this book is a coming of age, double gay for you, college romance.
Would I recommend it? Yes…but you have been warned. 😉

Blurb: Together for more than six years, lovers Jason and Bryan rarely see each other anymore. Their jobs are running them ragged and keeping them apart. It’s gotten so they barely even communicate.
But a trip to a winter cabin for a long weekend, a last-ditch effort to rekindle their romance, reveals a side to the two men the other never knew existed, and their weekend suddenly includes power-play games.
Is this new aspect of their relationship doomed to fail, or will it help them find what they both need to make their lives work again?
Review: This story is part of the Winter Games AmberPax Collection and they can be read as a standalone. There are many of us out there that love the idea of our men getting spanked, tied up, and sometimes blindfolded. This story has that for you. It is a really hot little story about how two men deeply in love but letting life overpower them. They let success get in the way and they were about to lose each other to it.
Jason and Bryan had made the decision to go away for a few days to rebuild what they were slowly loosing due to the jobs that they each held. However, Bryan had a bit of trouble letting it go. They had held a secret from each other that might help them rekindle what was being lost. Jason was a Dom and Bryan was a sub.
It wasn’t until Jason had threatened to tie Bryan up that showed Jason what they really needed. A way to release the pressures of life and give them their releases that was desperately needed and desired.
I loved this little story and look forward to hearing more about Bryan and Jason. I hope that there is going to be a longer story of these two sexy men. I never really thought about stress the way that many do. I also never knew that there was a way to get release with just a hint of pain. It was fascinating to read it and learn a little more each time I do.
I would recommend reading this story especially if you love two very gorgeous men, the BDSM scene, excitement, tender stories, love so deep that you wish for more and a way to show their love. It gave me that and so much more.

Blurb: Winning a gold medal is the goal…but losing everything is Daniel Lecce’s reality…
After an accident shattered his knee and his figure-skating career, Daniel gave up hope of ever going to the Olympics. And then he met a man who knew exactly what he needed: a firm hand, a hard whip, and someone to believe in him. But any success he’s had since then has been a fluke. He should have never qualified for the 2014 Olympic Games, and Daniel knows it. Worse, now that he’s lost his Dom, the best he can hope for is not to fall flat on his face in front of the esteemed judges, and the entire world.
But one man has learned Daniel’s secret. A brilliant choreographer, Matthew Hasek knows Daniel needs much more than a dazzling routine to succeed on the ice. Determined to show he can replace everything Daniel thinks he lost, Matthew issues an invitation he hopes the athlete can’t resist.
Daniel can’t ignore the wickedly sexy vibe he gets from his new choreographer. But can he let his guard down and trust Matthew with his body on the eve of the most important day of his life? Or will he lose more than the competition in the process?
Review: This is part of the Winter Games AmberPax Collection and they can be read as a standalone. They are really cute short stories that will capture your attention and keep it there till the end. However, it left me wanting more.
I want to hear more about Daniel and Matthew. They seem so full of passion when they get there. Like if you were in the room you would be burned all the way to the soul. I am not really one that can get in to BDSM but when they are these light ones, it just seems to leave you all hot and bothered.
Daniel is a figure skater who has lost his edge. He was bound for the Olympics then he was injured in a car accident. Here they were coming up to another round of Olympics and he just wasn’t too sure he could get it right. Three weeks ago, his master told him to get lost and never come back leaving him even more lost then before. Now a sexy man stood before him wanting him to be what he needs to be. He needs to be dominated.
Matthew knew from the moment he saw Daniel that he wanted him. He also knew the young man had lost his edge and would more than likely lose the medal. He knew that he could help, but it was up to Daniel to accept his offer. He wanted him for more than just a sub though, he wanted him for life.
It was a cute story that needed to be longer. I want to see where they go from here. I want to learn more about what makes these two gorgeous men tick.
I would recommend reading this if you love two gorgeous and sexy men and a hot dominate scene. It was missing nothing but length to me. It was told with such passion and fire that it made me want to just dwell into the rest of Hunter’s stories. It seemed like you were right there in the room with them, watching it happen and wishing for more.

Xander like things simple. He tried to keep up with the big boys, and failed disastrously. Now, he’s sworn off the bad boys he’s always been drawn to so irresistibly. But he’s finally forced to admit that his determination to play it safe has resulted in nothing but a string of bad (read: boring) dates. Luckily, his friend Lara knows what he really needs. Losing to her strategically played bet sees Xander stepping into a whole new world.
Paul is on a mission: Make Xander his. After months spent quietly falling for him from a distance, Paul is a more than willing pawn in Lara’s hands. He’ll pull out all the stops — sexy kilt and all — to introduce Xander to the beauty of submission at a loving Dom’s feet. But even if the sting of deceit is deemed forgivable, Xander can’t imagine what a sexy powerhouse like Paul wants with a quiet, unassuming boy like Xander.
Author’s Note: There is hot sex in this story, but the issue of protection is left somewhat ambiguous. The author does not condone unprotected sex. In real life, be safe without question. Purchase Link: http://www.amazon.com/Mission-X-Kim-Alan-ebook/dp/B00ES4C3XQ Review: Short, Sexy and Steamy… my three favourite colors!
Xander is confident but reserved, outgoing but shy. Yes, I know, he’s a conundrum! Let’s just say he let his guard down one night and he has sports the scar as a constant reminder of that mistake. So he is wary of opening up again, especially with Paul, his best friend’s boss and the man that found him that night. He doesn’t even remember what Paul looks like, just that the man saw him at his worst, so Xander never wants to see him again.
Paul is a very successful businessman who is used to being in charge and getting what he wants. And what he wants now is Xander. Owner of the local BDSM bar and a Dom, he sets up a plan along with Xander’s best friend, to get Xander into his club for a night where Paul can secretly make his move.
Xander is overwhelmed to begin, but he is so hyper aware of the Dom that has taken him under his wing, that he just goes with it. When Paul is exposed as the one man Xander dreaded ever meeting again, he flees. Paul is completely out of his element and dumbfounded at being presently rejected and left standing on the street, alone, when Xander runs. Will he get his act together and go after what he wants, per the norm? Or has Xander gotten him so off his game that he allows the young man who has dominated his thoughts for the past year to walk away, without a fight.
This is a BDSM book, Paul is a Dom and Xander is a natural Submissive. BUT, there is nothing angry or violent about this book that I have seen a lot in the genre. While Paul has to be in control and demands the respect of a sub, he is also loving and gentle with Xander, making sure that his needs are met as well. This novella was just so damn sexy and sensual that I almost forget it was BDSM. And there was a short scene where a “scene” was acted out and that as well was done sensually and tastefully.

Blurb:

Graham and Jackson have been friends since they were boys. But ever since their drunken sexual encounter the year before, things have been awkward. Graham’s accepted that he might be gay, but no matter how attracted he is to other men, he always panics and runs when the clothes start to come off.
Then Graham has a run-in with one of the rodeo protesters, and everything changes. Kaz is young, idealistic, and sexy as hell. And Kaz has an idea for getting Graham past his nerves and into bed.
All they need is a bit of rope.
About Marie
Marie Sexton lives in Colorado. She’s a fan of just about anything that involves muscular young men piling on top of each other. In particular, she loves the Denver Broncos and enjoys going to the games with her husband. Her imaginary friends often tag along. Marie has one daughter, two cats, and one dog, all of whom seem bent on destroying what remains of her sanity. She loves them anyway.
L.A. Witt is an abnormal M/M romance writer currently living in the glamorous and ultra-futuristic metropolis of Omaha, Nebraska, with her husband, two cats, and a disembodied penguin brain that communicates with her telepathically. In addition to writing smut and disturbing the locals, L.A. is said to be working with the US government to perfect a genetic modification that will allow humans to survive indefinitely on Corn Pops and beef jerky. This is all a cover, though, as her primary leisure activity is hunting down her arch nemesis, erotica author Lauren Gallagher, who is also said to be lurking somewhere in Omaha.
L. A.’s backlist is available on her website, and updates (as well as random thoughts and the odd snarky comment) can be found on her blog or on Twitter (@GallagherWitt).

Review: Graham and Jackson have been friends since childhood, though for Graham it has been much more than just friendship. They both ride the rodeo circuit and have been rodeo partners for years. One night at regionals both men were drinking heavily, they were drunk, lonely and horny and both acted on a mutual attraction. Ever since that night a year ago their relationship has been strained.
Graham is sure he is gay but every-time the action gets past kissing he panics and runs. Until one night he has a run in with one of the animal rights protestors. Kaz is young, sexy and outspoken. Kaz and Graham have a personal run in and Graham finds himself intrigued by young Kaz.
I have to say after reading the excerpt at the beginning of the book I was definitely Roped.*giggles at the pun* I can’t really say much more than I have above without spoilers. The story is character driven and I have to say I loved both Kaz and Graham.
The story is a good case of opposites attract. Two men couldn’t be much different than these two. I am a big fan of both L.A Witt and Marie Sexton. I loved how they showed the attraction immediately upon meeting with short sentences that just seem to pop. As they were describing Kaz from Graham’s view in a confrontation at a Rodeo where Kaz is protesting, after the short effective description; Graham thought…And cute. Those two words were powerful. They seemed to set the stage. It was a cue that for more to come. And boy was there more to come!
As I said, the excerpt in the beginning of the book roped me in, the powerful writing kept me tied to the story. I wasn’t able to stop once I started and the ending left me wanting more! For those of you who like to know ahead of time, I will say it was a happy for now ending. It’s not a cliff hanger; the story was beautifully resolved in a way that for me hinted that there could be much more to come. Yes, I am seriously hoping this is the beginning of a series, because I want more on Kaz and Graham and Jackson too.
For those of you wondering about the mild BDSM, it is mild, but let me tell you it’s hot and sexy. If you like a story with some hot sex, a little rope play but no real D’s or spanking, a sweet story that is also hot but not overly descriptive, A story with some twists and turns, Vegans, Animal rights Activists, and of course Cowboys, this is for you.
I highly recommend this for those of you that have been wanting to try a Male/Male romance, or like a sweet MM romance and wanted to sample a bit of the BDSM genre. This story is a good starter!
Blurb: Artist James Bryant has forearm crutches in every color from rainbow for fun to sleek black for business. He even has a pair with more paint splatters than metal. After his family’s rejection and abuse from a man he thought loved him, James only just gets through the day by painting. He lives in constant fear that he’s not worthy of anything, let alone love.
As CEO of his company, Carrington Enterprises, Seth Burns is a take-charge kind of guy, and he is instantly smitten by the artist helping with his newest project. When he witnesses James, suffer a panic attack, a protective instinct he never knew he had kicks in. He truly believes nothing is unobtainable—including James—if he’s willing to put in the time and effort.
James is shy and confused by Seth’s interest in him as a person. With Seth’s support, can he work through his fears to finally find the true love he deserves, or will someone finally land the crushing blow he won’t survive?
Review: James Bryant is an extremely talented artist that is only moderately happy in his day job where he is constantly berated by his immediate supervisor supposedly because of his sexuality. James is no stranger to abuse, both mentally and physically. His family disowned him when he came out, and his ex boyfriend liked to use him as a punching bag. He finds solace in painting when he finds the time to do it. Now he has the chance to do what he loves with a new job for the CEO of Carrington Enterprises.
As the CEO of a successful company, Seth Burns is used to being the boss and getting what he wants. He’s immediately taken with the shy artist working on his latest project. When James has a panic attack after meeting the foreman on the job, Seth’s protective instincts kick in. He yearns to make James his, and Seth knows full well that nothing worth having comes easy, but he will have James, at any cost
Seth has to tread lightly with the fragile psyche of James. He’s been used, abused and tossed aside by everyone he’s ever trusted except his best friend. He is naturally submissive, whether that is a direct result of his past is not even relevant. Seth is the dominate in the relationship, but he has an innate need to protect James as well, he expertly balances his need for dominance with the tenderness that James needs. But these two have a long and bumpy road ahead of them.
This book really tested me at times. It left me asking, how much is too much. James life has been an experiment in terror. Abandoned by his family, abused by his ex and left crippled only to be found and further abused, only adding to his disability. Then he is stalked, sent death threats and has his house set on fire. Loving Seth scares the crap out of him. He wants to trust Seth but he also fears the dominant side of him. He can’t put himself in a position to be hurt by someone he loves again. Can he trust Seth with his heart?
The narration left a lot to be desired. It’s really hard to listen to six hours of someone reading a book with multiple characters and having a hard time distinguishing between said characters because the narrator is so monotone, you almost fall asleep. I thought going into this story that the BDSM aspect would be what would bother me, but it is a crucial part of the storyline and it’s written cohesively. Overall, I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline written by O’Riley, but the narration coupled with way too many tragedies for young James left me frustrated in the end.
I can’t really say whether or not I’d recommend this book. I will say I am invested enough in these characters that I will grab a WRITTEN copy of the sequel and at least give it a go. They surely are sexy as hell even if Seth is a bossy bastard in the bedroom, its part of his charm!
