Blurb: Jack Corbet has been chosen, just not in the traditional way. When the Eoeans demand another sacrifice, the human government doesn’t want to give up one of their upstanding citizens. Though completely innocent, convicted felon Jack is pretty indifferent to being chosen as the aliens’ latest sacrifice. Arming himself with the hypothesis that Eoeans can’t be that bad, he steps willingly into the unknown.

Kelr, an Eoean diplomat, doesn’t really want a human. Being half Renka, he is disturbed by the touch of others and doesn’t want to risk becoming enamored with one. What he doesn’t count on is a human determined to have him, or the unexpected pleasure Jack’s touch brings him.

However, criminals are considered inferior goods to the alien government, and Jack might find himself in hot water well before he and Kelr are comfortable in their newfound relationship.

Review: This story is part of a series and although it can be read as a standalone, it is best enjoyed as part of the series. The government has decided to pull a fast one on the Eoeans when they demand an extra sacrifice. Jack is in prison serving a long sentence when he is told he is going to be a sacrifice, with no other real option he takes the government up on their offer and finds himself the property of an Eoean/Renka diplomat. Kelr doesn’t want a human, the touch and vibrations coming off others unsettle his Renka half and he doesn’t like the idea of owning a slave. What Kelr doesn’t count on though is the human’s determination to have a relationship with him and Kelr finds his defenses breaking down. But Eoean society looks down on criminals and when the Pressian’s start to make trouble Jack and Kelr could find themselves in hot water.

This story is a great addition to the Owned series as it expands the storyline of the Eoeans background. Jack is in prison for something he hasn’t done but he will gladly stay there to save the person he is protecting, but he is given an opportunity that he can’t really turn down. Kelr is pretty unique, he is half Renka so he can manipulate vibrations and change the resonance to something different but he is also half Eoean, which means he has the same urges, but touch is difficult for him. Jack discovers a way for them to still find pleasure but Kelr swears he will find someone for Jack to be full partners with, Jack doesn’t want that but Kelr is stubborn.

I really enjoyed this story, we discover more about the Eoeans position with the Pressian’s and the demands they are under, we see another human find soul resonance with their beloved alien and we see how they work through the problems they face. Their sexual escapades are extremely hot and I loved how they first tried to solve the touching problem. I also really liked that Kelr tried to do what was best for Jack before admitting defeat in the face of Jack’s need. Each story brings us a bit closer to understanding why the Eoeans want the humans, the soul resonance is one, but we also discover that the Pressian’s are demanding them as payment as well.

I have to recommend this to those who love science fiction, futuristic, alien loving, if they want red-hot sex, if they love humans who know what they want, if they want a great storyline with a developing twist and a great ending.

Blurb: Lust was only the spark…

Keenan Hastings thought delivering the envelopes for the Eoean lottery would spare him from being selected. He was wrong. When he finds himself on an auction block being pawed by horny aliens, he feels he deserves his fate.

Oco Mig Nuhull’s unique gift—the ability to read sentient creatures by touching them—has made him wealthy but also isolated. He’s unable to experience the depth of physical love because he can’t touch without reading his lover. Bored with his lonely existence, he goes to the auction to see a rare and much talked about Earthling. When he touches Keenan and finds his ability blocked, Oco must have him.

Despite Keenan and Oco’s instant, powerful, and mutual connection, their struggle to be together is thwarted at every turn. Lust may have sparked a far deeper bond, but how will they battle against the lust of Keenan’s true owner?

Review: This story is part of a series and although it can be read as a standalone is best read in order. Keenan has been delivering the letters for the Eoean lottery for years and is one day shy of being ineligible for the lottery when he receives his own letter in his paycheck. Finding himself being pawed by horny scary aliens has him terrified and there is nothing he can do about it. Oco has made his wealth by being able to read others minds by touching them, it makes relationships and lovers impossible, and he is lonely. Visiting an auction has him making a rare find a being he can touch without reading them, he has to have the rare creature for his own, but he has fierce competition. Keenan and Oco have an instant attraction between them and no matter how much they want to be together they have the problem and they face fierce opposition.

This is a great addition to the Owned series where the human and alien have to fight and negotiate their way to a successful conclusion. Keenan is a great character who has had his own lonely life, working, as a letter deliverer doesn’t make him any friends. When he meets Oco, it isn’t in the best situation but getting to know him has him wishing that he could stay with Oco. Oco is intrigued by the human and is delighted to discover he can touch him, when Oco loses out to someone else he takes matters into his own hands and it isn’t long before Oco discovers soul resonance with Keenan.

I really enjoyed this story and was interested to see how working for lottery affected Keenan; the poor man didn’t have much of a life and longed for a relationship like the one his neighbors had. Oco is in much the same position; he’s alone because of his abilities and in Keenan finds someone he can relax with. Together they are especially hot and fit together perfectly, they only have to find a way to stay together. This is a well-written story that veers off from the D/s that we saw in Owned 1 & 3 to a more equal sexual experience without the dominance or submission coming to the fore.

I recommend this to those that love science fiction, hot sex, saving someone from a fate worse than death, escaping loneliness, finding true love in unexpected places and a great ending.

Blurb: Hell comes to the damned when two opposites are forced to come to terms with their fates and embrace the love they’re destined to share. Living cold in a mortal’s world, Felix Davidson knows he is doomed when he spends an intimate evening with Savannah’s notorious playboy, an immortal he finds impossible to refuse.

Colburn Cay lives an extravagant lifestyle. Wealth has afforded him certain privileges and the finer things in life, even invitations to the distinguished Felix Davidson’s birthday party.

After meeting Felix, Colburn keeps his distance, but soon he acknowledges his growing lust for the prominent host. While preposterous, Colburn’s interest in Felix runs deep. Colburn hopes his desire for the infamous prude will soon fizzle out, but as the flames ignite, Colburn realizes what he and Felix share is more than an impossible affair. Their inevitable attraction will carry them far beyond the pleasures of the night.

Review: Colburn is one of only a small number of vampires who are ‘out’ in the mortal world, he has become the darling Savannah society and he revels in the playboy image he has worked so hard at. Felix is an upstanding member of society and he is very much in the vampire ‘closet’, he disdains those that flaunt themselves and has no need himself for one night stands. During a dinner party, that Felix’s sister has arranged the two meet and Felix is disturbed by the attraction he feels for Colburn, Colburn is equally dumbfounded but pursues Felix with an unquenchable thirst only to leave denying their mating.

This story was interesting, but very unfulfilling. While it was a very strong case of opposites attracting, it limped along with a fizzle rather than a bang. Colburn has slept his way through Savannah high society, both men and women, and loves his life. Colburn is invited to all the parties and is unsurprised when he is invited to Felix’s. But, he is surprised by his reaction to cold fish Felix. Felix doesn’t want to throw any parties, but his sister insists that he will never find his mate sitting at home reading. Meeting Colburn throws Felix, but rejecting the man’s advances would take more willpower than even he possesses. Especially, as the man is his mate. But having Colburn turn his back and leave, causes them both pain until Colburn accepts that running isn’t going to work.

While this has an interesting storyline and there was some hot sex, the story was lackluster and didn’t hold my attention even with one or two quirky characters. Felix is very much a stick in the mud and Colburn is very extravagant. Neither really thinks much of the other, until they meet face to face. Throw in a troublesome neighbor and we have some tension. Colburn swears he will accept their mating, but as soon as he is finished with Felix, he leaves and tries to fight the mating pull. Felix has no intention of chasing Colburn, but is relieved when Colburn comes back and they swear to always be together. Neither character really shines and the story is set over just a couple of days. There really wasn’t anything to grab your attention and keep a hold of it.

I would recommend this to those who love vampires, instant mating, hot sex and a touch of trouble.

Review: This story is part of a series and is best read in order. Quarantine has been searching for his mate and throws parties as a way to meet as many people as possible but he never meets the one and final puts a halt to the parties when he is advised that he is trying too hard. Marvin has suspected for some time that he is Quarantine’s mate but avoids him like the plague, when he finally decides to take a chance it proves that he is the vampires mate. Quarantine is happy to have finally found the one for him and is determined to make his claim, but an ex-lover is determined to claim Quarantine as his own and Marvin’s life hangs in the balance. Forced to take action Quarantine can only wait and pray that Marvin will forgive him.

We meet up with Quarantine as he ends things with his current lover, Toby, when he realizes that he wants to resume the hunt for his mate. Quarantine has been desperate to find his mate, that one person who will love him above all others, discovering his mate is Marvin, a man he has heard many rumors about, doesn’t faze Quarantine he just wants to claim his mate. Marvin hasn’t been keen on settling down so avoided Quarantine at all costs, now he has decided to face his fate and see if the vampire really is his mate.

This story has a great premise but the execution was poor. The storyline was pretty good but it fell flat with its characters, mainly because some of the characters in this book we met in the previous one and they had vastly changed personalities. The instant mates angle was good especially when they first met but then it went downhill when Quarantine’s ex-lover lost his marbles, it was sudden and came out of nowhere and was completely over the top. Marvin’s reaction was pretty realistic when he first comes around, but then he forgave them all pretty quickly. Quarantine and Marvin seemed to suit each other perfectly and they were hot together.

I recommend this if you love vampires, strange acting characters, insta-mates and insta-love, hot sex and a very hot ending.

Review: I liked the prologue to this story; how it sets the stage well for the series. It’s cute how the young boys confessed they are all gay to each other and do the spell to choose what they think would be their perfect mates. When the actual story starts, its years later and Charlie still hasn’t found that perfect lover. All the boys have grown up and that day has been brushed aside. Charlie is in a bar with his brother, Austin, when he meets James, the owner. The attraction is really strong and very mutual. James is a werewolf and has all but given up on finding his mate… until now. The strong pull for Charlie is unlike anything he has ever felt and his wolf wants Charlie, too.

This is a very cute but typical boy meets man (werewolf) they are destined to be mates, story. It’s very cute and romantic, but pretty cliché and over the top sugary sweet. Having said that doesn’t mean I didn’t like it. I loved it, since there are times when that is just what I need. A good super romantic escape from the day-to-day grind. Who doesn’t dream of a love this powerful? It has a few twists and turns and a happy ending. This is one of those stories that make you smile and it’s very hot!

I recommend this to anyone that loves a good sweet romance, with plenty of magic, werewolves, witches, and super-hot mansex.

Blurb: Vessel 8189, Payne, doesn’t want the man who the Facility has deemed his perfect match. A specially designed person whose DNA has been spliced with shifter DNA, his entire life has prepared him for his owner and mate. However, the man they’ve chosen isn’t the spoiled, arrogant jerk he anticipates.

Alecander Kane is the CEO of marketing for the Facility where Payne is housed. He never wanted to take a Vessel because he craved more of a partner than a slave. Unfortunately, his father has other plans. He has gifted Payne as a birthday present.

After they meet, a problem at the Facility sends them rushing back to the place Payne grew up to deal with the cleanup. Together, they will uncover all the secrets that have been festering for years and change the way Vessels are treated forever, all the while discovering that being born for pleasure doesn’t necessarily preclude falling in love.

Purchase Link: http://www.bookstrand.com/born-to-please

Review: Payne is a Vessel, a person designed to be the perfect companion for just one person, he is nearing the end of his training and will soon be given to his owner, but Payne doesn’t want anyone claiming him especially after his hellish training and knowing that his owner only wants a mindless pet. But Payne’s match is nothing like he thought he would be and just as they are coming to an understanding, a problem at the Facility looks set to rip them apart. Alec has no idea about the real story behind Vessel’s, but when he receives his own as a present he rapidly learns that everything he thought he knew isn’t right and with his Vessel at his side he looks into setting things right.

This is a cool little novella that is set in the far future and has a little twist of shifter mating, but it also has a dark tinge to it that leaves lingering questions. Payne was created for Alec, his DNA was spliced with that of shifters to create the perfect mate, but not everything is wonderful in the Vessel world as brutal training and mind-altering practices ensure Vessel compliance. Alec is appalled when he discovers what is happening and swears to Payne that they will dig for the truth, but the discovery of illegal practices at the Facility leads to a shakeup of the treatment of Vessels.

Alec and Payne clash when they first meet and it continues until Alec realizes that he doesn’t really want a mindless sex toy, Payne challenges him at every turn and makes him see that Vessels aren’t just objects, but are people with their own thoughts and feelings. You warm up to both Payne and Alec quickly and when Alec’s father, David, comes on the scene he seems unfeeling and callus, it isn’t until later in the book that his façade changes and that’s due to his own Vessel, Amber, Alec’s mother. The storyline is brilliant and a little bit taboo, playing with genetics’ to make the perfect companion, but the system is hijacked when the Vessels are treated inhumanly.

I am really looking forward to seeing which direction this series goes next, because there is unfinished business and people disappeared before they could be caught… and we also have the surprising twist of shifters coming out of their hiding places. We also have the uncertain question of the Vessels mating, now that they will no longer be forced, how will this twist work out?

I will recommend this to those that love shifters, mates, a touch of danger, hot sex, a touch of conflict and a happy ending.

Review: This story is part of a series and can be read as a standalone but is best read in order. Jess has been chosen by the alien lottery and he thinks that it won’t be all bad, after all anything would be better than the complete indifference of his parents. Things aren’t too bad but then his owner’s gambling debts get too high and Jess is sold off, and he discovers being picked by the alien lottery is the best thing that has ever happened to him. Noss was forced to take on the role of Arak when his father Prince Kranok was arrested, it is a role he dreads, but to keep his family together he will put his own happiness aside. Noss has to buy a human when the scandal keeps away marriage prospects and he gets much more than he bargained for in Jess, their passion is explosive and they both find what they are looking for in the other but Noss has to decide whether he can accept what is being offered or if he will be bound by duty.

This is a great addition to this wonderful sci-fi series Owned. We briefly met Noss in Bound by Defiance as he took over responsibility for his family. Noss never wanted a traditional household but with his father gone, he has to take over his role to keep his family together, but he can’t become Arak unless he gets a concubine and nobody wants him now buying a human is his only hope. When he gets Jess he has his hands full with the horny human but the bliss he finds in Jess’ arms might not be enough. Jess finds something he has never had when he is sold to Noss. He finds a family that accepts him. But, getting Noss to see that he can have a happy life and keep his family together is harder than he thinks.

I loved this story, both characters are wonderful, and they are perfect in this story together. Jess has had a crappy life being ignored by his parents; he will take anything that life throws at him with a smile so when he is chosen for the lottery he figures it won’t be so bad. When Jess is sold onto Noss, he accepts that he is a convenience but still manages to find his place in the family. Noss feels he has no choice but to become Arak but finds himself longing to submit to Jess, he also doesn’t know if he can hold out hope for what Jess offers him.

This is a great story that brings two men together who both have something that the other one needs, Noss needs Jess to show him how to let go and accept change and Jess needs Noss to show him how a family really are and the love and comfort they bring. Jess is a character that you can’t help but feel compassion for; he has been treated badly by his parents and has to find the love of a family in an alien family. Noss is trying to protect his family and you can’t help but love him, but he also fears changing their family standing.

I recommend this to those who love science fiction, human and alien smoking hot sex, accepting love, and family, bucking tradition and a very successful conclusion.

What neither one of them was expecting was discovering a shocking sexual affinity. True roles of master and slave translate perfectly in the bedroom, but Kian’s father didn’t buy Hunter to pleasure his son. He wants a cure and won’t settle for anything less. If Hunter fails, he’ll be sold.

Note: Each book in the Owned series is stand-alone and can be read in any order.

Review: Hunter is scared to death when he receives a letter telling him he has been chosen in the alien lottery, nobody ever knows what happens to the young men who are picked and they are never heard of again. Kian has a terminal illness and his father has bought a human in an effort to cure him, Kian doesn’t believe that anything will ever give him relief from the tormenting pain but finds that with the human, Hunter, it is much more manageable with their sexual encounters. But, Kian’s father expects a full recovery and if he doesn’t get one Hunter will be sold.

This great new series has an alien race coming to the rescue of humans and getting young men as payment. Everyone male knows what a plain white envelope with their name, address and social security number on means, it means you have been chosen in the lottery by the Eoeans and that your life as you know it has ended. Hunter receives his and wonders what he is about to face, but the reality of a metal encased alien never crossed his mind. Kian has suffered for years and Hunter gives him some semblance of peace, their connection as they fall in love is getting stronger and the mythical soul bond just might be true.

This is a very original new science fiction series where the human race was rescued from a deadly disease by an alien race who wants human men as payment. Hunter is a very feisty submissive who goes from fear to arousal when he first meets his owner, Kian, he finds himself attracted to the stronger alien and wants nothing more than to submit to him, but he doesn’t understand what Kian really expects from him when Kian says he has failed. Kian has been promised a human will be able to cure him and is deeply disappointed when it doesn’t happen, he is even more surprised when he learns the human, Hunter, has no clue that he was promised as a cure. It doesn’t stop the two males from getting into a D/s relationship and falling in love and when the two are ripped apart it is discovered that the soul-bond myth is the truth.

The relationship between these two males’ progresses quickly after they both put their cards on the table, they develop a beautiful D/s relationship, which is juicily kinky. Hunter and Kian fall in love but they both hold back a bit until they are nearly lost to each other. This is a great lighthearted story that has a great storyline and some hot kinky sex, the characters are great with each one suiting his role perfectly, and they have hot kinky sex. We get a great background story on both Hunter and Kian… oh did I mention they have hot kinky sex?

I recommend this to those that love kinky science fiction, hot kinky sex, a great storyline and a very happy ending after just a touch of angst.

There is nothing Dalton Boyd hates more than feeling powerless. When he’s caged and given as a gift to an alien who clearly has everything, he’s willing to do anything to torment him—even ignore him. When his strategy works a little too well, Dalton discovers he’s just as captivated as his new master is.

As their masks fall away and they succumb to temptation, can Zigog and Dalton face one another with honesty? Or will they allow dark secrets and deep-seated fears to ruin their chance at the mystical soul resonance?

Review: This story is part of a series and can be read as a stand-alone but is best read in order. Dalton is surprised and scared when he is chosen for the alien lottery; he has only just started to explore his Dominate side and now thinks he will never get to experiment further, until he sets eyes on the alien who now owns him. Zigog is the Supreme ruler of his planet and never has any time off, when he is gifted a human at his birthday celebration he is furious and aroused with the humans attitude. Zigog and Dalton soon find themselves losing the masks they hide behind as they succumb to their attraction, but they still have obstacles to overcome if their soul resonance is to bind fully.

This story is slightly connected to Bound by Pleasure through Hunter who was Dalton’s best friend; we saw them as they comforted each other in the hours before they were to leave their homes. Dalton now finds himself in a cage a hundred feet in the air above a celebration, Dalton digs deep to keep his fear at bay and decides he is going to seduce the beautiful gold man as soon as he gets the chance. Zigog is painted gold for his birthday celebration, when he is given the gift of a human he decides he will make the arrogant human bend to his will, but Dalton offers him something he never thought he wanted… Domination.

We are again taken to a new planet with a new culture and we see two males trying to understand each other’s cultures. Dalton has to understand the foundation of Zigog’s society and the way it works for him to really get a grasp because nothing is the same as on Earth, the music, the art and the way they make families is all different but luckily Dalton grasps it quite quickly and Zigog has patience. Zigog has a lot to learn as well as he gets to grasps with Dalton’s vocabulary, their sexual exploits, and discovering he has been sheltered on purpose. Their trust builds quickly as they each share themselves with the other, but they soon learn that even though they trust each other Zigog has difficulty trusting himself.

I recommend this to those who love men finding themselves, exploring their sexual needs, slight D/s, hot sex, building trust and discovering to have faith in ones-self, and a very happy ending when it all comes together.

Alexis is just coming to terms with his relationship with Elia when it is threatened and both Alexis and Elia have to decide if they are willing to fight to stay together.

Jana Downs has written an excellent addition to the Owned series, showing the side where the Eoeans keep some of the humans and their settlement on Earth. Elia is now mature enough to have mating instincts and to set up his own house as Arak, his father gifts him with a human, Alexis, as his first concubine but the feisty human may be the only concubine he ever takes. Alexis was chosen for the lottery but at least he is still on Earth, fitting into the Eoeans society isn’t going to be easy but at least Elia seems open to changing some of the rules.

I really enjoyed the way that the Jana Downs has gone down a slightly different tract than Anitra Lynn McLeod; Anitra’s portion of the series is focused on the selling of the humans onto different worlds, while Jana keeps her humans on Earth in the Eoeans settlements. The world building is good and we get more information on the Eoeans because we spend time with them, we still get that BDSM flavor threaded throughout the story (which is hot), and we come to a better understanding of the lottery. Both Alexis and Elia are great characters and boy do they set off sparks together, their relationship isn’t easy and obstacles are put in their way. It also doesn’t help that Elia’s society has certain expectations that clashes with the human society that Alexis has grown up in, but they come to a wonderful compromise before Elia’s fathers’ idiocy nearly ruins it.

I have to recommend this to those who love humans and aliens falling in love, different species merging their cultures, just a touch of BDSM, hot sex, finding your soul mate and the beginning of a very happy ending.

As the full story unfolds, a deeper wedge is driven between him and his mate, leaving both men feeling rejected and alone. Review: Perry discovered his mate Charlie but had to wait just a bit longer to be able to claim him, Charlie wasn’t yet eighteen, but then Charlie disappeared with no clue as to where he went. Three years later Charlie turns up on Perry’s doorstep starved, broken, injured and not expected to live the night. Charlie has longed for his mate for the last three years, thinking of Perry is all that kept him going, but now physically recovered Perry seems to want nothing to do with him. Perry is sure that after everything that Charlie has gone through the last thing he needs is a horny mate intent on claiming him, so Perry focuses on finding out where Charlie has been. But, as plans are made, the distance between Perry and Charlie grows, can either man just talk to the other before it is too late.

This is a great first published work from new author Violet Joicey-Cowen. Charlie and Perry are both great characters, they just don’t talk to each other and both jump to conclusions due to body language. Perry is the typical Alpha, he wants to look after his pack and his mate, but instead of talking and including his mate, he just presumes he knows what his mate needs. Charlie is still a young wolf and because of the distance, that Perry holds himself at he thinks Perry doesn’t want him anymore, but Charlie doesn’t confront him or ask him about it. Both shifters think they know what is going on with the other, but they are both far from the truth.

Now let’s get on to the rest of the storyline, Charlie’s disappearance, this bit was good but leaves us with unanswered questions. When we discover what happened to Charlie we are horrified especially when we discover there are many more who are in Charlie’s former position, now the way that Perry handled it was brilliant, even as we wish he would open up to Charlie more. The execution of the plan was nicely carried out and the sympathy and heartache flowed smoothly for the poor paranormals that were held, everything that was described and how the scenes played out were nearly perfect and this is where our unanswered questions come from.

I can’t help but wonder what happened to the guards? What about the faculty they were held at? Are they going to do anything about Michaelson? And what about Charlie’s mother? Why isn’t Charlie in the least bit concerned about her? These are just some of the questions that were rolling around in my head by the time I finished the book. Charlie’s and Perry’s relationship is strained for a lot of the book and it isn’t until near the end that they finally talk and straighten the misunderstandings out, they are hot together and they make a good couple.

I recommend this if you love shifters, uncommunicative wolves, a brilliant rescue, a hot claiming, great characters and a very happy ending.

Blurb: Regan Adamson has a secret. As beta for the Blackfoot pack, the only thing required of him is acting like a Dominant male. In the world of pack, switching is not an option but when he meets the omega, Titus, his resolve to ignore his need for occasional submission is put to the test.

Titus Oswin is on a mission to rescue a kidnapped group of humans. He never expected to meet his mate in the process. An admitted switch, Titus refused in the past to accept a lover who doesn’t Dominate and submit. But Regan is so deep in the submissive closet that Titus isn’t even sure the instant attraction and growing respect between them is enough for him to take a chance on their relationship.

As troubles within and without the pack arise, Regan will have to decide if being with Titus will be his ultimate downfall or if he will be saved by his surrender.

Purchase Link: http://www.bookstrand.com/saved-by-surrender

Review: This book is part of a series and is best read in order. As a beta for the pack, Regan is expected to be Dominant wolf and Regan wants that. His wolf, on the other hand, wants to submit, which is strictly forbidden. In addition, even though Regan does love the kiss of a whip, it is a side of himself he has to deny. A wolf can be Dominant or submissive, but never both. Titus is an Omega and an admitted switch. He is on Blackfoot pack lands to investigate a neighboring pack so meeting his mate is a surprise. However, the bigger surprise is how his mate reacts. Titus has to decide if he can deal with the unsureness of his mate. Regan has to make hard choices because his wolf is rebelling. Being at odds with his wolf is hard, but losing his place in the pack could be harder. Regan and Titus have to work out their relationship and quick, because Regan could lose more than just his mate.

This is a great story showing the angst and turmoil of a wolf pulled between his nature and pack rules. Regan is being pulled apart by denying part of his wolf nature, but what his wolf wants is forbidden. The rules are simple, a beta is a Dominant wolf and a wolf cannot be Dominant and submissive. Nevertheless, Regan is all those things. When Regan meets his mate, Titus, he is tested beyond his control. Titus is an Omega so him being both Dominant and submissive isn’t unknown, but it is kept secret by the Circle. When he meets Regan, he tries to explain to him that they can work everything out. But, it takes a near call for Regan to come around.

Both the main characters, Titus and Regan, are excellent in this story. they are doing something that is different in the shifter world. If you have read the previous books then you know it is a very rigid world. There are rules for nearly everything and the shifters have a very fixed mind as to what wolves go where in the pack and this is where Regan and Titus blur the lines. They make an explosive couple and Titus is a huge support as Regan struggles with what to do and Regan really does struggle. You get the full impact of his internal struggle and his pure relief when he finally accepts himself for a switch. The sex and BDSM between them is beautifully done and both characters make incredible Dominates and submissives.

I recommend this to those who love BDSM, hot sex, even hotter characters, a great story line of an internally conflicted shifter and a very hot, sexy ending.

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Witnessing the slaughter of his family by Vampires, has left Riley scarred and he hides behind sarcasm and a carefree attitude. Discovering his mate is a Vampire, Riley doesn’t know if he can ever get over the memories and his fear. Caleb never expected to meet his mate when visiting the Hunter Clan and he never expected that his mate would be terrified of him. Getting past his mate’s defenses is hard and they begin to make progress… but, then misunderstandings get in the way.

This is a great addition to the Hunter Clan series and continues along the storyline of the Potestas and their intention to wipe out Mages. Riley is confused by his conflicting emotions when it comes to his mate Caleb. He just wants to climb all over the sexy Vampire and lick him all over, but his fangs scare the hell out of him. Caleb isn’t sure how to approach his sexy little mate. He knows what happened to Riley’s family and doesn’t want the fact that he is a Vampire to keep them apart. Both characters have been through their own horrific trauma and while Riley shares his, Caleb keeps his hidden which causes problems.

I really enjoyed this addition to the series with both men having their ups and downs. struggling to fit together as a couple and then sharing their pain with each other. When The Kayan’s Mage ended, Riley and Caleb had just met. Now, it’s a couple of months later and Caleb has given Riley space to get used to him. I loved that. The fact that they were mates and they were able to take their time, it’s such a refreshing change from the ‘instant mates, must mate right now’ attitude that most paranormal books follow. The progression of the storyline is good and new questions arise about the Potestas when the Hunter Clan receives a mysterious e-mail. The way the story was left has me wanting the next book Dmitri’s Little Spitfire; this is proving to be a very intriguing series.

It isn’t all perfect though. Yes, I adore the characters, especially Riley. The sex scenes are hot. The storyline is great and the plot progressing along nicely. So what wasn’t perfect? Well, Riley reacts badly at one point and does a 180 in his attitude that I found surprising and a little disappointing. Then there was a scene later in the book where Riley and Caleb make up, but it was in an inappropriate setting. sorry, but that is a pet hate for me. Other that those two times though, I really enjoyed this story.

I will recommend this to those who love Vampires, Mages, hot sex, damaged characters, hot making up, misunderstandings, an excellent twist and a very happy ending for Riley and Caleb.

Blurb: Sam Reed was born different. It’s a fact he has always known and tried to hide. Abandoned as a baby, he has always felt out of place, never really knowing where he came from or why he can do the things he can.

Jackson Harcourt has long feared the day he will meet his mate. Banished from his birth pack, Jackson soon found himself in charge of a pack of outcasts and misfits, all looking for somewhere to belong. Fifty years ago, Jackson met and fell in love with a seven-hundred-year-old vampire named Alek, and together they have not only built themselves a pack, but a family.

When fate throws Sam, Jackson’s true mate, into Jackson’s path, Alek’s ancient heart feels as though it will finally break into too many pieces to ever again be whole. As Alek prepares for the worst though, he begins to wonder if perhaps fate doesn’t, truly, move in mysterious ways.

Review: Jackson is a wolf shifter and he has been with his vampire lover, Alek, for fifty years. Both men know that one day Jackson will find his mate, but they are enjoying their relationship to the fullest until that time. Sam has always had the feeling that he is different. He never knew who his parents were and has grown up in foster care. when he meets Jackson and Alek he begins to discover just how different he really is. Alek is prepared for the worst when Jackson discovers his mate, Sam, but Sam isn’t a normal human and Alek finds that maybe fate has blessed him as well as Jackson.

This is a great new paranormal series that loves to surprise. Sam has always known that he is different. he knows things about people that he shouldn’t and can sense how a person feels, but he keeps it hidden. Sam is close to only a few people, his foster-mother Rita, his foster-brother Kieran and his cat Al, so when Sam meets Jackson and Alek he isn’t sure why he is so drawn to them. Jackson and Alek have had fifty years together, but that doesn’t stop Alek from great sadness when Sam enters their lives. Jackson might be overjoyed at finding his mate, but Alek doesn’t really want to lose the vampire he loves. All three together must work through what they could have together and Alek also might just have answers to Sam’s unasked questions. Sam also comes to the rescue of a pack member which leads to a huge surprise.

I really enjoyed this story with its compassionate characters, intriguing storyline and exciting discoveries. Sam’s parents are a mystery and we slowly discover the truth of who they were. We discover that Jackson’s pack is more like a family and that Alek is well-loved by all. Sam is an amazing character and his compassionate nature is wonderful. Jackson and Alek are hard to separate, but both men are protective and loving. The storyline digs into Sam’s beginnings and his true nature. we also see Sam come to the rescue of one of the pack, risking his own life to protect a loved one. Alek, Jackson and Sam are really hot together, they just burn up the sheets (and the office) and their love is sweet and passionate.

I recommend this to those who love shifters, vampires, a human who doesn’t know who he really is, a touch of mystery, hot explosive sex, danger and a shocking surprise.

Blurb: Simon Westfield is the owner of a stud farm in Wyoming. He’s recently lost his brother in the army, and has become the guardian of two young children, Dale and Allie. After a while, it’s clear he needs help.

Enter Tristan Markham, a professional live-in male nanny, or manny.

Though great with kids, Tristan is as strong-willed as Simon, and their points of view on everything are polar opposites. Where Simon is closeted, reserved, and introverted, Tristan is an out and proud liberal pacifist.

Clashes are inevitable.

But they can’t deny their growing attraction, so a deal is struck. Casual sex only. But when things start to go wrong—Simon’s mother dying of cancer, the kids’ grandparents suing for custody, and Simon being thrust out of the closet—it’s time for them to work together, or lose everything they have.

Because despite their differences, they are a family. And families stick together—no matter what.

Review: This story is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. Simon has recently become guardian to his brother’s children, Dale and Allie. But, juggling the children’s needs with his work on his horse ranch is becoming harder to cope with and his friend, May, recommends a nanny. Tristan is a manny and he loves his job. dealing with the Westford family should be just routine, but he clashes with Simon quite often with their opposing views. Their attraction won’t be denied and a deal is struck. But, they start to become close as they face what life throws at them. Simon’s mother is dying and Dale and Allie’s maternal grandparents threaten to sue for custody. Tristan and Simon must pull together as a family to keep their family together.

This story is a great sexy rancher novella with cute kids and a sexy manny. Simon needs help with his brother’s children. It’s bad enough that his brother died, but the children’s mother has become unstable and unable to look after the kids. Enter Tristan the manny, who realizes it isn’t only the children who need help. As Tristan and Simon become close and enjoying their secret relationship, Tristan becomes a rock that Simon didn’t know he needed. They become a family that they have to fight for and coming out of the closet isn’t the hardest thing to do.

I really enjoyed this story and its development. The relationship between Simon and Tristan doesn’t happen overnight and when it does start it’s hot and explosive. They keep it on the quiet and then everything happens all at once. Simon’s mother doesn’t have long to live and then there’s the custody threat. Tristan is a brilliant character and he clashes with Simon at times, but only when Tristan thinks he is right. Simon is more ridged in his thinking and Tristan smoothes down his rough edges. They make a very interesting couple and make great parents and you root for them to vanquish the threats against them.

I will recommend this to those who love cowboys, mannys, family stories, compromise, finding love, hot sex and a very happy ending.

The injured young man, Patrick Prescott, turns out to be the mayor’s troubled son. He needs help, and Dan offers it. As a result, the lives of the two men become entwined. The old adage of saving someone’s life giving you responsibility over them seems to hold water.

Patrick is haunted by inner demons. His closeted life pushes him to recklessly pursue Dan at all costs, as though he actively sought his own ruin. But Dan has his own reasons for coming to meet his former CO, and that does not include getting in bed with Patrick, since he’s not in town to stay.

When two different worlds collide, even two men who are oceans apart in every sense must find a way to cope—together

Review: This book started off promising. The blurb was intriguing, but I didn’t love it. Dan, the XO of a submarine for the Navy, stumbles upon the wreck in the country while on vacation. He calls his friends for assistance and they let him know it’s probably Patrick the town screw up. Dan goes to check on the man and quickly realizes the man is wasted and is indeed Patrick.  Dan tries to do the right thing by denying some pretty strong advances at the crash site, but a few kisses occur and Patrick dubs Dan his fiery Angel.

Dan feels some strange need to take care of the man after the strange moments they shared at the crash site. He can tell Patrick is scared and prepared to be ridiculed for another failure, but Dan tells him it’s just a bad day. Patrick knows he’s out of control. He’s has his own dreams but they’re being crushed under his father’s guilt and vicarious expectations. Dan instantly brings a calm to Patrick’s life. No judging or lecturing. He’s just there for Patrick who seems to need him. Patrick is drawn to Dan and after his kindness he wants him near while he fights the hangover and injuries. Dan takes him to his friend’s home to recuperate. Patrick and Dan quickly give into their lust, but Dan is leaving in a week and Patrick isn’t out in his town. So what does this mean for their budding romance?

I think I would have enjoyed this book more if it weren’t for the continuity problems. A person shouldn’t be able to speak of the character of someone they’ve known for less than a day so strongly. If it was one time I could have over looked it but it just kept happening. If someone has repeatedly crashed their car drunk enough to have a reputation then police should be called regardless of the person’s stature in the community. Dan stating early in the book he’d always wanted to be in the navy then saying he just followed his brother. I feel like if I can see these things, someone else should have.

Also, all conflict in the book was resolved too easily.  Years of problems are reconciled after a few minutes of talking and it just wasn’t realistic at all.  I liked the premise of the book but sadly will probably remember the faults far outweigh the positives here.

Blurb: Willie Mae Dollar is lost in a blizzard in the backwoods of West Virginia when she lands at the home of life partners Jeff Antonetti and Linc Davis. She knows they are in a committed relationship, but that doesn’t stop her from being taken with Jeff and then Linc.

Although not a homewrecker, she can see where it would be great to have both men.

Jeff is very accepting of the idea. The partners have been looking for another person to add to their life, and Willie fits the bill. Linc has a problem because he has spent his life self-identified as an out, loud, and proud man. Willie challenges that and with the help of her adoptive Hispanic family tries to convince her guys that she is their lady.

Review:  Jeff and Linc are life partners, and have been for 20 years.  They are looking for a third, but Linc is strictly dickly so he says. Jeff is Bi but hasn’t had a woman since college, before he met Linc. Willie gets lost in a storm and ends up at Jeff and Linc’s cabin.  Has their third landed on their doorstep and better than that, is this their surrogate mother for their children?

I liked this story. It was written in a unique way with Willie talking out loud a lot. The story is a lot of dialogue and most of it is Willie even when she is alone.  I liked all the characters and even though this is a second book in a series you really wouldn’t know. It stands perfectly well and makes me want to read the first book just for the heck of it. There is a sweet, very romantic fairy tale type of romance, charming characters and lots of sex.

Now for what I didn’t like.  Just a few minutes after meeting each other, Willie and Jeff, a man in a loving relationship that hasn’t had a woman in over twenty years, go at it on the kitchen table. When Linc walks in, he isn’t mad at all, but shows a bit of concern.  Then after dinner they all end up in bed and he keeps saying he is strictly Dickly, but he goes at Willie every chance he gets, too. She also proclaims over and over she is a good girl and don’t have sex casually or one night stands.  Jeff announces he wants her to have their children and Linc says they can keep her but he still isn’t into women. This all makes the story very unbelievable. However saying this I loved the story it was sweet, hot, sexy and so romantic. I will be looking for the first book to see what if it’s about Jeff and Linc, since I would love to know more about them.

Recommendation: I recommend this to anyone that likes a bi-racial story, Hot Drs. Sexy PA’s blizzards and lots of three-way sexes. Warning this does have mostly Male on Female sex and is light on the male on male sex.

Jarred has no intention of giving in to fate, but the inescapably erotic mate-bonding process has begun—and Drew Wellington is not the only one in danger. Secrets about Peter are about to be revealed, even to himself. A rival wolf with an old claim and a new plan unleashes an alpha transformation Peter cannot control. Saving Drew and claiming Jarred will mean learning to tame the power of the wolf.

Review: Peter is all set for an interview for a coveted job, when he catches the eye of the boss’s son and nearly gets turfed out on his ear. Jarred is shocked when he first sets eyes on Peter, but at his father’s (Drew) urging accepts the other man. Peter is about to be confronted with his new future, a future that will change his life forever. But, with Jarred by his side anything is possible. Both Peter and Jarred might be able to circumvent fate and save Drew and put a stop to the wolf who is laying claim to Peter. But, just who is the Alpha between them?

This story has some great ideas, but the execution was weak. Peter has no clue what he is walking into when he goes for an interview. Meeting the Wellington’s is about to shake the foundations of his life. Jarred never wants to meet his mate, because he knows it heralds his father’s death and the last thing he wants is to lose his father. When Jarred and Peter meet and their hands meet the connection is made. Jarred thinks that all he has to do now is keep an eye on his dad and keep him out of danger, but Peter reacts strangely and they discover that Peter has a secret of his own that Peter didn’t even know.

Jarred and Peter are great characters who both battle to be top dog. Their connection is primal and passionate and the sex is explosive and hot. They both hurtle head long into their mating, even when they want to hold back. They both have a lot on their plates, with Jarred worried about his dad, discovering his mate and trying to keep the business afloat. Peter has to cope with his sudden discovery of shifters, the secret about himself and the Alpha wolf who wants him. They both have to deal with the urge to mate and they have to work together to keep Drew safe and to keep Peter out of the hands of the Alpha wolf.

When I read the blurb I expected the book to have more of a corporate setting, but other than Peter and Jarred meeting at work and some vague mentionings about the business being in trouble, the setting of the story is mainly outside. I liked how the shifters were though. they are much more primal and back to basic shifters, with the moon being the main influence and with the human sides keeping a very tight rein on the wolves. The actual relationship between Peter and Jarred is a very basic want/need with no emotional connection developing between them, but the whole storyline is set over just a few days so there was no real time for them to progress with it.

I will recommend this story to those who love passionate paranormals, a touch of danger, an interesting storyline, hot men, even hotter sex and a very happy ending.

Matthew worked for SCAB, but after a traumatic assignment he isn’t sure what he will do next. The three men come together when Andrew’s run goes horrible wrong and he is running for his life in an area overwhelmed by zombies. Andrew, Marcel and Matthew make a startling discovery as they make their escape, a discovery UFM doesn’t want to get out.

Although this story still has zombies, chases, escapes and new discoveries, it is mainly focused on the relationship between Andrew, Marcel and Matthew. As they explore their new love and relationship, they also discover where they fit together in the relationship; Matthew and Andrew have to put their fears to rest. Marcel is the most well-balanced and is a calm influence who will push his men when needed. Matthew is losing himself to depression when his dad disappears and he is unable to get a job. and Andrew has a fear of crowds and prefers his solitude life, although he opens up enough for his two lovers to share his life.

I really enjoyed this story and its new discoveries. The characters are excellent and I found their relationship to be loving, with just a few difficulties thrown in to shake it up a bit. The storyline moved well and I liked that they had normal worries like finding a job to think of. Their relationship slotted together perfectly and while they were in the wilds they had some really hot sex that only gives you a slight niggle about appropriate places. The support they showed each other was wonderful and I was happy that they waited before declaring their love. I really can’t wait for future stories from Deadzone because the discoveries that are made are really tantalizing and have really got me intrigued.

I will recommend this to those who love threesomes, zombies, chases, hunting, government secrets, hot sex, great characters and a very happy ending.

Review: Grant pulls into his friend’s garage and the first thing he sees is the new mechanic bent over a car that’s got his interest. But, when he turns around, Grant is more than filled with lust. he will do anything to get this hot mechanic with an attitude to be his. Morric is trying to get his life back in order after being in prison for three years. He has no time for romance, and has too much baggage for relationships.  He is attracted to Grant, but wants to keep him at a distance; since he is a rich boy he sure wouldn’t want more than a quick roll in the hay with someone like him.

I really liked this book. The characters were interesting and not the run of the mill kind of men you find in romances. I like the fact each man had some issues in his past.  The storyline was romantic and sweet and interesting and easy to follow. I loved the sexual tension between Grant and Morric and the determination in Grant to prove to Morric he wanted more than sex from him. Great story

Recommendation:I recommend this to anyone that likes a story of a man determined to win another man’s heart, computer geeks, hot mechanics and sweet sexy sensual and hot mansex.
