Quinn is devastated by the recent murders, and for the men he once dallied with. Not trusting his heart to anyone since a cruel rejection in his teens, he trusts the police department of Mesa, Arizona even less. He is determined to find the bastard who is committing these gruesome murders, and take care of things himself.

When Jake and Quinn finally meet face to face in the interrogation room, both men are startled at the direction things take. Agreeing to work together, they have no idea the dangers they have yet to face. But what is more dangerous – the murderer, or the spark that has been created between the two very combustible men?

Review: Jake is assigned to a serial killer case. The prime suspect is Quinn an artist that lives on the Rez and isn’t very cooperative.  All three cases have been ex-lovers of Quinn.

Quinn is upset about the murder of his ex-lovers. He wants justice but doesn’t like cops much, until he meets Jake. Both men are tired of being alone and now just getting laid isn’t enough. Will their meeting become more than professional?

This was a pretty good murder mystery. There were lots of suspects and motives, the stories moved fast and the romance helped to ease some of the gruesomeness of the killings. I loved Quinn and Jake and I really loved their romantic interludes, very sexy, very romantic, and very hot. The mystery was good I felt there were a few things not quite resolved such as a couple of the men rather dropped off the radar by time the story finished. I would have liked a little more closure with those characters and with His female partner. But overall it was a very good story and I will definitely be following this series.

Recommendation: If you like, men in uniform, artists, Native American, mystery, and suspense with some pretty hot sex and a little bondage this is for you.arrestingbehaviour_image_2_vs2

Review: William is a void, born into a very magical family. deciding he needs to get away from his matchmaking, slightly overprotective family, he buys an old mansion; ‘a painted lady’ that needs much love and care. But, the house is on a magical vortex and the council doesn’t want anyone living there and sends Cash to convince William to leave. Cash discovers it isn’t going to be easy though… his magic won’t work on a void and he discovers he is attracted to the beautiful William. When William is run down by a car, Cash has to protect him and all the clues point close to William’s family.

This is a great cute ‘gay for you’ novella that is wonderful for a relaxing night’s read. This really is a delightful story that takes a macho enforcer who loves women and gives him a beautiful man as a soul mate. A beautiful man who is a void, a rarity that will need protection if anyone discovers his secret. Cash and William make great characters and the attraction between them is really hot. The storyline is great, with a surprise with the house and a family twist and you really can’t but help enjoy this story.

This really is a great story if you just want a fun light read. William is a touch spoiled, rich and likes things his way. Cash is macho, hot and is used to getting his way and he is straight, very straight until he meets William. Add in secrets and mystery, a powerful family and you have sparks flying with just a touch of danger from a slightly deranged character.

I have to recommend that if you love magic, ‘gay for you’, great characters, an interesting storyline, and enjoyable light reads than this is the book to read.

Blurb: A young vampire learns that being a psychic may be a rarity, but possessing magic abilities as well is truly a game changer.

Eight year fledgling vampire Malachi Faust is living his new life clumsily. He’s thankful to his maker, though he doesn’t know who that is, but he wants to party every night away, not caring about anything in the world—including coven life and other kin.

That is until he meets older vampire Dante, who tells him he’s not only a psychic vampire, requiring sexual energy as well as blood, but he’s also the grandson of a witch. These two gifts make him a wanted man by the most powerful clan leader in the city, who’s set to capture him and introduce him to coven life.

Malachi’s sceptical, though it does somehow explain his strangeness to need sex when he feeds, but he’s also unable to stop from getting caught up in Dante’s promises and passions. In order to survive the coven life, he must follow Dante through a world that he didn’t know existed while fighting his own lustful needs.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of violence, one MMM ménage scene and a scene of foreskin play, commonly referred to as ‘cock docking’.

Review: As I finished reading this book, I was left with questions, too many of them. Usually I’m pretty good a seeing the plot when reading a book, but this time I failed to see a point of what was happening for at least half of it and the other half simply made me think that the entire story is pretty much a chaotic jumble of carelessly thrown together thoughts.

Malachi is a new vampire, created and left alone in the world by his sire. He doesn’t mind it though, as he’s having a blast of a time; partying every night, feeding on blood and sex and freedom. However, out of nowhere Dante shows up, with his sophisticated mannerism (I didn’t quite see it) and his charm and offers Malachi himself as a mentor in order to escape people who want him – in not a necessarily good way either – and also offers to tell Malachi about who he is, and what makes him so damn special (I didn’t saw this either).

Now, here come my many, many questions. When Dante showed up Malachi was in the middle of his “hunt.” He had spotted his prey, but Dante prevented him from pursuing it. Nothing odd about this except the fact that that particular prey that was eyeing Malachi and vice versa was Raphael, the leader of the coven that ruled the city aka the guy who has been hunting Malachi down. So… why did Raphael let Malachi go with Dante…?

Moving on Dante and Malachi are trying to escape their pursuers that followed them from the club, because Dante is supposed to do just that, help Malachi escape. Yet, we learn in just a little bit that, Raphael had “hired” Dante to get, seduce, and deliver Malachi to him and along with us that information is passed onto Malachi as well. So… why is Malachi still trusting Dante, and why would Raphael let Dante go from the club with Malachi in first place since Malachi was obviously under Raphael’s thrall to begin with? See nothing so far made sense for me.

Moving on, the guy that finally found and captured them is Xavier, Raphael’s second in command. Later in the story we learn that besides being extremely strong, Xavier has also another powerful ability, that of seduction. And another thing, being the person who commands the troops that deal with rogues and drifters, Xavier is the guy that should be after Malachi in first place. It would be a piece of cake for him to get Malachi “home.”

Other questions that troubled me concern the basic story-line. Why are rogues not allowed to be? Why must everyone belong to a coven? What is the cove’s logic and dynamics? Why did Raphael (since he wanted Malachi so badly) let him go with Aurora? Why, since he forbids Xavier having fun with Malachi, did he allow Dante be with him and in the course of action another new vampire join them two in a sexual game? I mean the leader was scary, but not everybody feared him. In fact, the people defied him more often than I care to count and so on and so on. And what on earth is Malachi’s real power and what does it do? I mean the title says “The Rogue’s Power” but that one thing is left so very vague I’m found it frustrating.

Of course there is the romantic side of the story as well that had lots of staring and not making sense at all. The love thing not only came with a lightning speed, but it came out of nowhere. No reason to love there at all. I still don’t know why, why did Malachi fell in love with Dante? Or how even.

So when a book leaves me with more concerns and questions than happy feelings and entertainment I’m not so fond of it. In this case, I simply didn’t get it. For me this was a badly written book, one I wouldn’t recommend unless you don’t mind the plot and simply want to enjoy the “immortals going at it.”

Blurb: Vault for the gold or fall in love? What about both?

Dylan Parker wants nothing more than to win the gold. He’s worked on his vaults long and hard to be the best. And he is…until the best, Aiden Conrad, shows up at his gym. What’s a guy to do when the object of his affection also happens to be his stiffest competition?

Aiden’s no slouch when it comes to competition. He’s got more than a couple of medals under his belt, but finding love? That’s his one weakness. When he meets Dylan, all bets are off. Dylan might be damn good on the vault, but is he just as good in bed? Aiden’s next goal? Dylan.

Can these two hard-headed men find common ground and passion in each other’s arms or are they destined to fail in the biggest competition of all—the game of love?

Reader Advisory: This book contains lots of gymnastics fun, voyeurism, and hot sex in the locker room.

Review: I didn’t like this book for too many reasons. First of the blurb is in white contrast from the story itself. There is no competition between Dylan and Aiden at all. As a matter of fact, the story starts with Aiden approaching Dylan and telling him he’s thinking of joining their gym because he wants to be Dylan’s teammate. And Dylan always had admiration for Aiden because he is one of the best out there. Again no competition there at all, only instant lust and in the span of a month – that we didn’t witness- both of them have reached the point of deep feelings for each other even if no move has been made yet.

And that takes me to the pace and time frame for this book. The pace seems too frantic, the events between the pair happened in lighting speed, the time frame was hazy at best. There was no depth to the story; you couldn’t see the built of their friendship, partnership, and relationship. Thus, you couldn’t connect with either character that by the way was completely flat. Beside some “hurtful” past events in Dylan’s past we didn’t get much on their personality, who were they and so on.

Moving on, there was the issue of chemistry and the old classic telling that made it hard to feel them two. Both characters shared similar emotions. Both wanted each other, both were scared of their feelings, and both shared the same thoughts even. Between that and their intimate scenes that were as bland as they come, it felt as if I was reading a bad copy/paste over and over again. A big, big thing I disliked was the comparison of a certain sexual stance with submission and since the story had no kinky side in there, I couldn’t quite understand it why would that even be mentioned. And really, when too people like to have rough sex it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are possessive, I don’t get what one has to do with the other.

The plot was also a big reason I didn’t like this book. It was irrational in so many ways. At times, I felt like there had been more there, but was crudely cropped, chopped, and deleted so I was left with a text that jumped and leaped and the meaning didn’t fit. The dialogues made no sense and were often a contradiction of previous dialogues between the guys, adding to the feeling that there was a story behind the line that I’d somehow missed.

Speaking of irrational, the villain of this story (because every story needs a psychopath) made no sense at all to me. He wanted Aiden so he harassed Dylan – so far so good- but later on, he wanted Aiden so he beats the heck out of him sending him in the hospital… I suppose the author needed Aiden in the hospital so badly so that Dylan would have that kind of déjà vu, that the rationale behind it didn’t really matter. And dear me, a guy is in the ER badly injured, his mother and friend (because no one knew Dylan was the boyfriend in that damn hospital) go to check on him and visit, and the nurse said “Ten minutes then you’ll switch. Once we get him in a room, you’ll be able to stay longer. No monkey business.” I’m still rolling this over and over in my head to try to make some sense from it. The guy is barely conscious, badly hurt, friends and family are distressed and in agony to see he’ll be all right, what monkey business would there be for crying out loud?

So no, I didn’t like this one and I can’t recommend it.

Blurb: A handsome Bollywood actor must choose between his career and a rugged cricket player from his past, who he’s fallen in love with…again.

Rajan Malik has the world of Bollywood in the palm of his hand…a beautiful girlfriend, starring roles, adoring fans…He should be happy, but behind the façade lies a man conflicted and exhausted by the pressure placed on him by his ill mother, his agent and society. His life is not his own, and all he wants to do is escape.

Indian Premier League cricketer Ajay Singh can’t believe how bad his university roommate Rajan looks when he spots his picture in the paper. They had parted on bad terms. Still, he’s moved to offer Rajan his support by renewing their friendship.

But friendship was not all they shared back then. Though Ajay is out, Rajan isn’t willing to give up his carefully cultivated Bollywood image to be with him publicly. And with very little privacy, it won’t take long for someone to find out they are more than friends.

Their renewed secret affair is fraught with difficulties as they deal with the death of Rajan’s mother, the secret of Rajan’s till-now absent father, a jealous friend, intrusive social media, and threatening notes from someone who seems to know all about their private lives.

It’s a bit of a sticky wicket they find themselves in. Will it be too late when both men finally realise that they’ll need to compromise, or stand to lose everything?

Review: Rajan is a Bollywood star living the life that his mother created for him, starring roles, beautiful girlfriend, and fame. But the life is starting to tear him apart, having to suppress his natural desires to please all those around him. Getting a surprise phone call from his old concerned friend Rajan remembers a time when he was happy and in love. Ajay doesn’t know what Raja’s reaction will be to his offer of a place of sanctuary, they didn’t part on the best of terms and now Ajay is an openly gay cricketer and has no plans to go back in the closet. Rekindling their romance is risky but neither man can resist, Rajan begins to get anonymous phone calls and notes, his mother is dying and trying to force him into an engagement. Ajay feels like he has been shoved back into closet having to hide his relationship with Rajan, while Rajan parades around the girlfriend. Can the men find a compromise before it’s too late?

This was quite a good Bollywood dilemma story that is an easy read. Rajan is very easily pressured, he did want to be a teacher, but when his mother heard how close he was to a friend he was quickly whisked home to be molded into the perfect Bollywood star, since then his mother, agent and girlfriend have control of his life and it is wearing him down. Ajay has stood on his own and made his own decisions, he is openly gay and a star cricketer. Offering Rajan a retreat from the high-pressure world might be a mistake but even after all these years he still cares deeply for the actor.

Ajay has a confidence in himself that is impressive and having Rajan again is all he wants, but accepting the restrictions are hard when all he wants is to love Rajan. Rajan is easily controlled by other people, especially his mother, but soon he will have to make his own choices if he wants to hold onto his love. I liked both Ajay and Rajan and enjoyed watching as they maneuvered into a relationship that they could both work with. the hot sex that is never a problem. The conflict that Rajan faces and the patience that Ajay has to dig deep for, and finally a compromise that works for both of them.

I was also surprised that the story was more focused on Rajan rather than Ajay and that was because of the series name, it was quite disappointing because I was looking forward to seeing what the authors could come up with for a cricketer but it was all about the Bollywood stars problems. I was very disappointed with the storyline. Especially seeing as it reminded me very strongly of another Bollywood story released over a year ago. Change the cricketers for bodyguards and yeah, very similar storyline.

I will recommend this to those who love closeted actors, hot cricketers, tension, forgiveness, hot sex and a great happy ending.

Blurb: Hal went looking for a wild weekend, and found more wild than he could ever have hoped for.

Hal’s world has been in a tailspin since he wrote a book exposing police corruption. Seeking respite and distraction, he heads off for a wild weekend in Brighton, hoping for hot guys, loud music and lots of booze. What he gets instead is a near-naked man mountain, bruised, bleeding and suffering from temporary memory loss.

Hal isn’t ready for the news that Luke is a werewolf, and even less prepared for Luke’s declaration that Hal is his life mate. But he can’t seem to walk away when Luke is obviously in trouble, and there is no denying the searing heat that is between them.

The more time they spend together the deeper their connection becomes, until Hal starts to wonder about the whole ‘mate’ thing.

However, there is a cloud of danger hanging over Luke’s head that could destroy everything they have the potential to become…the men who abducted and tortured Luke still have him in their sights.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of moderate violence.

Review: You go on a wild weekend only to fall asleep most of it… No this won’t do.

You go on a wild weekend, you fall asleep most of it, but you end up saving a hunk of a man… Hmm, better still something’s missing. Oh how about…

You go on a wild weekend to get away from your crazy life, only to end up saving you soul mate, while crazy becomes a constant in your life.

Yes, Hal’s life has become wild all right; reporters and paparazzi hunting him down and attributing every little thing to his book that brought down an entire carter of corrupt cops. He’s a journalist for crying outloud, and he can’t seem to get away from his fellow “colleagues.” In a last attempt to make them see there’s no more story coming from him he goes on a weekend for a break only to find a nearly dying man on a remote country road on his way back.

And it was beautiful how Hal and Luke meet. It was refreshing seeing “mates” not fall instantly in love within the blink of an eye. Oh the passion and the craving were there all right, disguisable and fierce, but the circumstances didn’t allow for that sappy you’re-my-mate notion on first sight that we are accustomed to. Instead, the author focused on the danger that Luke had just escaped and the possessiveness that hit Hal in a steady build.

Luke had been abducted and drugged to the point he had no memory of what happened to him. He was nearly falling unconscious with exhaustion when Hal found him and he’d been brutally abused. While trying to get him into a hospital, talking with cops, and finding Luke is a werewolf, Hal feels reluctant to let go of the gorgeous man Fate seemed to drop onto his arms. He feels a responsibility to protect him and take care of him that run deep in a much more personal level he would have thought and while he’s shocked with his reactions he can’t seem to find it in him to leave Luke alone in his house, still vulnerable not yet fully healed after the hospital. But being a werewolf Luke’s body rejects the drugs fast, his muted instincts come forward full force and the next morning finds him on his feet, ferocious almost in his belief that he has finally found his mate.

It seems like just another shifter story, yet it’s not. The world it’s build is aware of shifters and just like with everything else the knowledge of their existence has caused from panic to emotions of hatred in the population. Several groups had taken on them to clean the world from their wicked existence and had been hunting them down, forcing the werewolves to hide back. Yet the evil and prejudice never stop and in there this story lives and breathes.

The plot is very engaging, the violence that rules people’s heart is well described and that makes for some gruesome scenes that gives quite an edge to the story and make it somehow fascinating. On the other hand, we have the romantic part that I absolutely loved. While based on the very non-escapable Fate, Luke’s and Hal’s love slowly grows. Luke has surrendered to it being a shifter and knowing bone deep that this is that forever relationship, Hal as a human puts a certain resistance that did not seem fake in the course of the story. His brain after all can’t accept such things that easily, but his heart and instincts all scream for him to let go, which he does in the most unconscious way, freely admitting to it when death hits their door. The need to acknowledge and protect each other undeniable.

I also adore their loving scenes. They were absolutely brilliant with the visceral passion and eroticism of such relationship all there for me to taste and breathe. The balance between carnal and romance was beautifully accomplished and when Luke used the term “ my Hal” it was as if I could hear all the pent-up longing and desperation he had for a family, for someone he can call his own, for finally filling that emptiness and not being alone anymore. (Heh, am I a sap or what?)

In the end, this was a most satisfying story I enjoyed very, very much. One I would love to see a sequel of, as there were plenty characters and possibilities for follow-ups. Totally recommended.

Review: Oh. I loved this book. It was very engaging, grabbing you from the beginning and holding you throughout the read.

Both characters were very lovable. Angel is a freshman whose clips on YouTube earned him a scholarship. Back in his neighborhood he was always the weird kid and had always had to act tough. This new world he suddenly landed is foreign to him and he feels confused and an outcast most of the time. Add to that the instant attraction he felt for his TA and Angel doesn’t know which way is up or down. Because while Angel has never acted with a girl, he hasn’t given much thought to his sexuality either. He simply can’t be attracted to a man…can he?

We see Angel struggle through his emotions. we see his mind say one thing, his body another and how much the confusion affects him and his actions. It’s not hard to love this character. Although, at times, he came across as too stupid. However, that gave him a more realistic air. the fact that he at times couldn’t get past simple words or phrases like “shut up” or “f*** you”. It made him real, it made him look scary and it made me like him even though he pissed me off at the same time.

And then there was Shane. Shane is gorgeous. He is also older than Angel by six years, plus Angel’s TA. It put a lot of strain in his crush with Angel and the fact that he was even crushing for the young man made him struggle with that. Normally Shane wouldn’t even think on acting on such a young guy, clearly inexperienced, clearly confused. Add to that the need he keep seeing in Angel’s eyes, a need for more than just sex and someone to teach him the ropes. But, rather intimacy, something Shane simply doesn’t do, and you got one scared Shane.

I loved him, too. The almost inevitable way he surrendered to Angels gruff manners. The way he made their relationship seem like it was Fate’s handiwork. I loved it – and I’m repeating myself, but it is true.

And I can’t help but complain about the length of this book. I wanted more. I liked the air and the writing style so a lot. It was even funny at points, light and easily read, with the intimate scenes being too good. The chemistry right there in every line dizzying you with its intensity and making you crave more.

Yup. I liked it and I can’t wait for the next installment. If you are a fan of college-boys and first-time-around-the-block kind of romance, then this book will certainly be to your satisfaction. Well worth it.

Blurb: There isn’t a safe place in the world when someone wants you dead more than they want to live.

Ryder Johansen is trying to figure out the shifter world. He was turned without his consent, another bad thing in a life filled with shitty choices. Now he’s learning that he doesn’t have to be an untrustworthy jerk. He can be more than the sum of his past.

Maarten Visser is at a loss with his life. His pack abandoned him—him! Their alpha!—once his brother Luuk was back in power. Maybe a trip to visit the North America Alpha Anax will give him some perspective. Or maybe it’ll kill him.

Marcus and Nathan are getting their pack past the attack that destroyed their other compound. They’ve got everyone settled in a new, secure place. Except it’s not as secure as they thought, and someone is out to destroy them and hurt Marcus as much as possible along the way.

Product Link: http://www.total-e-bound.com/product.asp?strParents=&CAT_ID=&P_ID=2154

Review: Marcus and Nathan are back from their European trip where they helped Luuk regain his place as AA of Europe, only to find more trouble waiting them in their home. A crazy shifter, changing people against their will, has his compound in turmoil and Marcus is left with people that are trying to find a way to deal with these new changes.

One such man is Ryder. His human life was an absolute horror where he was a slave to his drugs; always in a haze and searching for his next fix, always letting people down. But, now his brain can’t escape through drugs anymore and that leaves him with a weird clarity and too much time to think. His talk-first-think- later attitude isn’t helping him make friends in this new world either. But, he is determined to make a better man in this second chance he’s got. An honorable man at that. But, first he has to make people see that he’s not defined by what he was as human. he has to make them see that he can be trustworthy as long as someone gives him a chance.

Meet Maarten Visser. Now, in book seven of the series we had a small glimpse at Maarten, and he seemed the goofy guy; the play now and live your life kind of guy. We get to know him better in this book and see how much unwanted he felt after his brother Luuk regained his position. Maarten was left without a pack and therefore without a purpose. When Luuk sent him to U.S. as an ambassador to strengthen their relations between the two AA, Maarten felt we was simply being exiled so he wouldn’t cause trouble. But, trouble finds him anyway along with his mate and the deep soul-healing love it entails.

And as everybody is trying to find their place and their purpose, a new unknown enemy appears. bringing with him a viciousness and violence that shatters our guys to the core. There is no place for talk and diplomacy in this case. The only solution is death.

So this time I got what I wanted and what I felt lacking in the previous book and that is the “fighting” part. For me wolves are aggressive creatures and that’s what I got when it came to the battles between good guys and bad guys. It was vicious, it was bloody and it was quite satisfying.

As always though, I feel that the length of these books is too small for the amount of events they develop. Here we had two pairs that the book focused on; Marcus and Nathan – we saw them grow even more and rule with a strong will and lots of love for their pack and not only – and Ryder and Maarten.

Now Ryder and Maarten were new characters that we got introduced to and for me the space they took in this book was not enough. Their personalities were treated with a superficial narration and the depths of their feelings were not explored to my satisfaction. The characters went from being shallow and vain to responsible and serious without us really witnessing it. The time frame being jumped and many events simply stated. In addition there were way too many mating pairs that enticed our fancy and they were left at that, which I’m having the feeling we will not see them in another book of their own and that’s just a shame.

However, I liked this book much better and the pairs that took part were quite engaging. Their “love” games were entertaining enough, even if they lacked intensity, and I found they were even funny, at some points. In the end I was left feeling that this was a good read and I hope the next one to focus solely on Ryder and Maarten, as I feel they have much more to share with us.

If you are a fan of the series, I really think you will not be disappointed in this book and if this is the first book on the series that comes on your hands I believe you’ll enjoy it as it can stand alone. Be ready for the mate-love and their deep bonds, the agony of nearly losing a mate and some really good bloody and violent fighting between wolves.

Blurb: Can a lab rat whore find love with the servant of his master, or will their different backgrounds and prejudices keep them apart?

In the distant future, where the devastation caused by war has driven the human race below the surface of the Earth, society is split in half. The rich scientists live in towers where they can monitor the surface and determine when the poisonous gasses have cleared and the world is safe for humans once more. Meanwhile the majority of the human race lives in crowded labyrinthine caves, where life is harsh and short. Uneducated and with no real prospects for the future, a ‘lab rat’ is lucky to live to see thirty years of age. Employment options are minimal and few can escape the fate of choking to death on the dust of the caves.

When AJ, one of the poorest members of society, needs credits for medicine for his sister he is in a desperate situation. With no other options available he risks alienation from his family by selling himself to the highest bidder. Love is the last thing on his mind, but while Blake, his new owner, might not be Mr. Right, Ryder, his servant, just might be. Unfortunately, their different backgrounds, prejudices, and AJ’s brutal owner seem destined to keep them apart, but true love can be theirs for the taking, if they can only find a way.

Review: I have mixed feelings about this book. Some parts I liked and some I didn’t.

The world this story lives in is Earth somewhere in the future and after one very destructive war people are forced to live underground in tunnels due to the poisonous air above ground. Supposedly there are many such compounds around the world, but there is no communication whatsoever between them. In the compound we are reading of, there are many levels of rich and status. AJ is one step from the lowest and his life along with that of his sister and brother are hardly managed. Now his sister has less than a week to live due to the dust levels underground and the choices are quickly dwindling. As a last resort AJ decides to sell himself and a very peculiar contract has him as a personal slave for Blake for one week.

Now here is where I start resenting some things. A whore in this world is so much frowned upon, that taking that route can cause alienation from even the lowest parts of society and the ruining of your entire family. That for me makes no sense, since through the centuries people’s desperation has driven them to do whatever it takes to survive. The survival instinct is simply too strong to ignore. So when AJ’s family, and especially his sister, that a few moments earlier was dying, turn him away in disgust, it was more than surreal to me.

Moving on, the way the servants in the house AJ was to live for a week treated him was again a bit odd. Firstly AJ’s Master didn’t even care to provide for him or give the orders for him to be taken care of; a room and clothes. It’s incomprehensible how he bought a virgin only to treat him like a seasoned whore. The same with the servant, Ryder, who while later (and way too fast to be credible) falls in love with AJ, treated him like common dirt at the beginning, justifying it as reaction of jealousy.

The plot itself was a bit underdeveloped too, with things not being properly introduced and decisions hastily made. The only part that made me cringe was the sexual treatment AJ received from his “Master”, while the entire angst life in that future was supposed to provide was totally lost. The blackmailing that followed was unthought-of and while the “evil” character had every opportunity to even kill them, he simply let them go. Albeit in an insecure future or rather past.

I don’t know. I still don’t know what to make of this book. The pair came together in a haze and I didn’t really get how or when they developed such strong feelings for each other. In the end, I was left with some kind of wistfulness that this read was a bit more, because I did like the idea behind the story a lot.

Review: This story is part of a series and is best read in order. Jonathon is just trying to get to the office when he rescues Kai from a ‘hit and run’. The man is hot and Jonathan wants to get to know him better. When more attempts on Kai’s life happen, Jonathan decides that there is only one person who can protect him and that’s himself. Kai is instantly attracted to the man who saved him from a car and has plans to get to know him better. But, someone is out to kill him and he has no idea who, having Jonathan guard his body is a major perk. But, discovering who wants him dead is harder than they thought.

This is a great addition to the Mercenary Lovers series. Jonathan finds a man to love and the mystery of who the would-be killer is was great. Jonathon is feeling lonely, spending time with his bosses and their partners has him feeling jealous and he wants to find a man to love. But, Jonathon feels like he has baggage. He still has nightmares of when he was in the military, but when he meets Kai he has hopes that he might have found the man for him. Kai has concentrated on building up his company and hasn’t had much time to build a relationship; he is blown away when he meets Jonathon and hopes to get to know him better. When there is a blatant attempt on Kai’s life he is left completely confused as to who wants him dead and Jonathon jumps to protect him. Together they find love and are both shocked and surprised by the would-be killer.

So another mercenary bites the love bug and does it in spectacular fashion. Jonathon is a great character and even now still feels a little guilt over how he first treated Callum (Tempting Sin), Jonathon is still struggling with life out of the military and I think Amber Kell put it across well. and I loved that there was that slight heart to heart between Jonathon and Sin. Kai is a businessman and really does seem the perfect match for Jonathon. Even with all his money, he is down to earth, although he does try to impress Jonathon at first. The mystery of who wants Kai dead is intriguing because everything points to Kai’s sister but it just doesn’t feel right, and when we do discover who it is, holy moly, we are smacked with a twist.

I recommend this to those who love private security bodyguards, hot-shot businessmen, steamy sex, a mysterious killer, a great twist and a very happy loving ending.

Blurb: Jason is hiding and it is only when he meets Kieran that he finds home.

Jason McInnery, hounded by the paparazzi after his brother’s death, runs to the one place where he hopes people will not sell him out. The place where he was born.

Hiding in the tourist cabins at Ellery Mountain Resort out of season he thinks he finally has room to breathe.

If only Kieran Dexter, a man ten years his junior, would stop fixing stuff and generally causing ripples in Jason’s calm space.

Review: Jason is a popular actor who suffered the loss of his younger brother. Nearing the anniversary, he flees to Ellery Mountain for the anonymity and peace he hopes to find. Hiding out in the cabins, he comes across sexy handyman Kieran, who disturbs him more than he should. taking a chance he acts on his attraction. But, he’s an actor from LA while Kieran is a carpenter from Ellery. Can he really hope for more than a fling? Kieran wants more than just a fling, but will take what he can get. Helping Jason deal with his past shows him Jason is more than just an actor, but can long distance work?

This third installment to Ellery Mountain is cute Kieran’s story, and what a little spitfire he is. Jason is an actor who lost his brother to a car crash. He feels guilty and blames himself, Jason is hounded by the press as secrets about his brother come out and now with the anniversary of his death looming, Jason flees to the one place where the press will never look, Ellery. Kieran is surprised to discover a guest in one of the cabins, but it isn’t long before he hits it off with Jason.

Kieran and Jason are a fantastic couple, even with them both knowing that Jason is only around for a short time. They embrace what they can in the short time they have together. Kieran has a slight complex. He’s short blond and his mouth runs away with itself. Jason is perfect for Kieran, although he makes a couple of mistakes. Kieran helps Jason through a hard time and they have to admit what they really want before they both make a mistake. The sex between them is really hot and Kieran really shows us his true self in those moments. Both men are incredible together. The storyline moves swiftly and smoothly, there’s no real angst except two men refusing to acknowledge what they want from each other and I thought it was really well written. I liked how they resolved their relationship and that they gave it a go even though they are both from different worlds.

I will recommend this to those who love stories of finding love in unexpected places, different worlds coming together, hot men having hot sex and a very happily ever after.

‘Flowers for Him’ by Marie Sexton and Rowan Speedwell

He wanted to learn about beauty. He never expected to learn about love.

Billionaire Chandler Harrison’s third marriage is now history, and he’s left with his ex-wife’s parting barb, “You have no appreciation of beauty.” Determined to prove her wrong, Chandler hires artist Neil Sweeney to add a mural to his office wall. He doesn’t even care what the picture is, as long as it’s beautiful.

Neil Sweeney is an ex-tagger, a free spirit, and a bit of a hippie. He’s never met anybody as uptight as Chandler, but when it comes to warming up Chandler’s cold, stark office, Neil has plans involving more than art.

Chandler begins to find himself strangely moved by the mural developing on his office wall. He’s especially moved by the artist himself. Chandler has denied his homosexual urges for most of his life, but it isn’t long before Neil begins introducing Chandler to all kinds of new things. As Neil’s masterpiece comes to life, so does Chandler’s appreciation for art, color, and the best kind of beauty of all—love.

Review:  I thought this story was very beautiful. I loved the depth of both characters. I loved the way they just sort of meshed together and the storyline is just sweet and swoon-worthy, the sex super- hot! Wow great story!

The question is, will Brenton push aside his inhibitions and reservations? Will he allow his chauffeur to give him what he craves? Will he willingly surrender to the orders of his servant?

Review:  I thought this story was so hot.  I loved the way the roles were reversed and the driver took charge.  I loved both characters. Hot sexy story Wow!

‘Fly to Him’ by J.P. Bowie

A young flight attendant gets a billionaire’s attention in a way that could have meant the end of his career, but instead could be the beginning of an unexpected romance.

Their fledging romance is abruptly brought to an end when Logan hurries back to the States on a desperate mission to save his company from a hostile takeover. Kevin is left wondering if success and wealth is more important to the billionaire than the chance of love and real happiness.

Review:  This story was pretty hot. I did find it a bit odd that the billionaire just jumped the new attendant and they went straight for the bedroom. Having said this, I am like a love at first sight story I just think this should have been worked into a bit more gradually but it was a very hot sexy story. I loved it

‘Enough for Him’ by Em Woods

Unable to turn away his friend, Noah decides to do this one favor for Shannon before sacrificing everything he’s worked so hard to build and walking away.

Review:  Wow words can’t say how much I loved this one!  Everything was fabulous. The both characters are so endearing with their plight for love of one another and why they haven’t pursued anything other than friendship.  The story line intriguing and written with finesses and wit and charm, the sex is hot. I just can’t say enough!

Review:  This story is very heart warming. A big-shot finally learning that life is more than money but can he live without money can love be enough? You must read this and see.  I am a huge, huge Sara York fan and she did not disappoint here!  A great story and very hot mansex

With the highest professional stakes on the line, Jon and Warren have to decide whether the professional success they share in the boardroom is worth sacrificing the passion they share in the bedroom.

Review:  Another great story in a very hot collection.  This story had great characters and a great story. The attraction was mutual then the thought of betrayal and mistrust and boardroom scandal.  Just when you thought things was going so well. This story will have you on your toes. It’s hot and sexy with a twist you don’t see coming.

Recommendation: If you like anthologies this is one to get. Everything about it is fabulous. An A list of fantastic authors, stories of scandal, boardroom sex, friends to lovers, mile high club, storms and devastation, art,  and some great hot mansex. A must read!

Blurb: Can a temporary collar ever lead to a permanent relationship? Mark and Mr. Nolan are about to find out.

Mr. Nolan’s last relationship lasted for over two decades. But, since suddenly finding himself single, two years ago, he has struggled to find a submissive who can fill the void in his life. Maybe a temporary arrangement is exactly what he needs to ease him back into the lifestyle he loves so much.

Mark’s never experienced life under the protection of a good dom. He’s merely had a series of abusive partners. He’s used to being treated as a temporary feature in a man’s life, then thrown away when they tire of him.

When mutual friends push them together, the last thing Mr. Nolan, or Mark, expects is to end up hoping a temporary collar will become permanent.

Reader Advisory: Please note that the stories in the Collared series are connected solely by theme. They can all be read as standalone titles and in any order. Mr. Nolan previously made an appearance as a secondary character in Bi Now, Gay Later, however it is not necessary to have read that book first.

Review: I’ve been a fan of Ms. Dare, since I started reading her books.  And although I don’t always go head over heels with all her works, I have to say I did like this one quite a bit. In book three of the Collared series we meet Mr. Nolan and Mark. Each of these characters is interesting in his own way.

Mr. Nolan is a long time Dom who had lost his submissive of twenty plus years for nearly two years now. In all this time his friends have been introducing him with many subs in an attempt to fill the void his Frank left, without results. Mark, on the other hand, is a natural sub who’s had one bad relationship after another with several sadistic and abusive men. His idea of self-worth is utterly disordered and in short terms he’s completely screwed inside out. Damaged is perhaps an understatement.

The pair meets when friends they have in common introduce them and ask Mr. Nolan to take Mark in under his care temporarily. It’s all that’s needed for Mark to try to be worthy of a Dom such as Mr. Nolan. And the sexual part, while not exactly what Mark expected was definitely what he always dreamed. Even if it means that he has to fight a ghost in order to keep it.

I liked this story very much. If it wasn’t for the fact that almost all Ms. Dare’s characters have this common fault of not hearing what’s being said instead making their own conclusions in their head, I would have enjoyed it even more. I suppose the for years abused brain of Mark couldn’t easily accept that a Dom could be kind to him or even considerate, but still it was irritating when he heard one thing and understood another.

Nevertheless this was quite a sweet story as well. This author has a unique ability into making even the shortest of stories and ideas no matter the genre turn into romance. For me that is exactly what this work is about. A romance born out of need and circumstances and perfect timing for both characters. Yet again my dislike for the quickly dropped “I love you” line tampered my enthusiasm, but hey, I’m too cynical to trust that feeling in the spawn of a week.

Bottom end, I loved the story and totally recommend it for fans of the genre.

Blurb: Conner Sutherland never thought he’d meet the love of his life in the Afterlife…

Conner Sutherland has been alone for a long time. He can’t remember the last time he even felt the desire to be touched by another man. Sometime before his death, when he’d still been Laine’s lover. But Laine had found Severo years ago, and if any two people were meant for each other it was Laine and Sev. Where that leaves Conner, he doesn’t know, other than feeling lost and out of sorts.

He doesn’t want to think about the way he feels when he sees Ro—Rogelio, Sev’s nephew. Conner’s seen Ro grow from pretty boy into a handsome man, but wanting him is foolish and useless. Ro’s got a life to live, and even if he does things that hurt Conner, that’s not Ro’s fault. He doesn’t know he entranced Conner long ago.

Ro has only ever wanted one man for keeps. It’s a pointless want, though, because Conner Sutherland is dead and too busy pranking Laine and Sev to notice Ro anyway.

But life, and death, has a way of surprising you, as Ro and Conner find out.

Review: Conner has been hanging around McKinton ever since Laine and Sev fell in love. But, he is feeling lonely, wishing he could somehow find love again. But, for a ghost that is impossible, isn’t it? When he starts to notice Ro, Sev’s nephew, he keeps his distance so not to tempt himself because Ro has his whole life to live and he doesn’t need a ghost hanging around. Ro has been fascinated with Conner for years. He has fantasied about the ghost for as long as he can remember, but he knows that Conner would never even notice him even if it was possible to be together. But, life has a way of making the impossible possible, as Ro and Conner are about to find out.

I have followed this series from the beginning and I had always hoped for Conner to get a story of his own. But, I was left feeling sadly disappointed because there was so much sadness throughout the book. How could I be happy for Conner and Ro when my heart bled for Laine and Sev? Conner might have his living friends and his fellow spirits, but he still feels alone. Having the chance at love that he never thought he would have, he first has to put his own past to rest. Ro makes mistakes when his mother dies and he wallows in grief, but he can’t be too sorry when it brings him the man he has wanted for years.

This story is well written and you feel the grief of Laine and Sev as they deal with one blow after the other. Ro and Conner both deserve the happiness that they find and they make a great couple. Their sex is hot and they have a different kind of storyline. But, for me, I suppose I am just used to a different resolution when it comes to ghost and human love stories and I was unhappy with the amount of grief and devastation it took to give Conner and Ro their happily ever after.

I will recommend this to those who want a different kind of ghost/human love story, of finding a love that neither man thought they would have and a very happy for them ending.

Review: Clive has one goal in life and that is to always have enough, enough food, enough money, enough everything. After a harrowing childhood where Clive never had anything, he now works hard to make sure he is never in that position again.  But, when he meets Seth he will take a chance and change because once he has a taste of love nothing else matters. Seth is determined to protect his grandfather and the town from corporate greed, but Clive gets under his skin and he works out a way to save the company and give his grandfather something to look forward to. But, Seth discovers the truth and turns his back on Clive and Clive has to scramble to find a way to save the company and his love.

This is a good story of hotshot corporate shark finding love and changing his ways. Clive is a great character who has suffered hardship in his childhood. He watched his sister die due to neglect and malnutrition and has sworn to never be in that position again, and if that means being seen as a cold heartless man, then so what, at least he won’t go without. Seth rushes to help his grandfather when he discovers that his grandfather is ill and his business in trouble, but what he discovers is so much worse than he thought. The business has two options, bankruptcy or Clive’s company. But, he needs assurances that the company’s doors will remain open. The two get to know each other, but lies get in the way and Clive ends up trying to prove that he can change.

Seth is a good guy. He gave up the opportunity for a good paying job to work for the poor and has never regretted it. When he meets Clive, he feels an instant pull to the guy which rapidly develops into love. Clive has a shell around his heart that Seth shatters and makes him want to be a better man. Together they make a great couple, but I felt that they fell in love too quickly. Over just a couple of weeks and in an awkward situation, it felt rushed. The story is well written and it flows well. You get a good feel for both characters and you hope that they do work it out and they get their happily ever after.

I will recommend this if you love corporate sharks who have a change of heart, a good guy who can forgive, some hot sex and a very happy ending.

Though it’s got easier—one or two flights of erotic fancy a year instead of every night—Nathan couldn’t say it’s got better. He still can’t forget the charismatic Fitz, and no one he’s met since then could begin to compare.

Still, Nathan’s certain he would have someday stopped daydreaming and moved on. He would have found someone else. Filled the empty spots in his life, his heart, and his home. His bed.

That is, if his part-time nurse hadn’t eloped overnight.

If, unable to find someone local right away, he hadn’t called upon the services of a temp agency.

And if the nurse the agency sent to him, certified and licensed, had been anyone but Fitz himself, with far more than work on his mind.

Love isn’t always easy, and it’s very rarely simple. More often than not—it takes practice.

Review: Yup. I liked this short story a lot. My soft spot for bad boys gone good instantly loved Fitz. He is such a charming character in both his past and his present appearance and personality. No denying that.

He used to be the stoner and the guy that would flow with the wind when back in college with Nathan. While they loved each other and Nathan surely believed they would be together, the day of his graduation, Fitz disappeared from his life. In Fitz’s eyes, he was not the man worthy to stand by Nathan’s side and he would never be able to be that man with Nathan’s help. His need to make it on his own was so that he left without a note or explanation.

Yes, Nathan’s heart broke, and yes, it became easier with time; too much time. After seven years, when there is a knock on his front door, Nathan expects to find a temporary nurse to take the place of the one that abandoned him. That he finds and so much more as the temp is no other than Fitz.

And this is where I loved the text a lot, too. All the emotions and the tension between the characters were fantastically written. The “push n’ pull” and the anxiety Nathan feels were deeply felt and when the two came together it was near magic. Very romantic and softly written, loved it.

The rest of their interaction was pretty cool, too. Some characters they met were funny and some characters claimed sympathy. The way their everyday life was portrayed was quite enticing and well, it gave Fitz a place on the spotlight that I loved even more. It was quite fun.

I didn’t like the fact that Nathan succumbed as fast as he did though, and I didn’t like the ending scene with Chelle as much, but all in all it was a very pleasant read. One I’d definitely recommend to lovers of the genre.

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. When Sam and Bob go to the aid of Trawl, the troll, they discover that it isn’t only Shelby (Hart’s daughter) that has been taken.  they discover that many other paranormal children have been taken. Hart is desperate and turns to the demon, Dan, for help. It isn’t easy getting the demon on side though, because Hart broke his heart. But, the children have to come first, before Hart can make thinks right with his demon.

Whoop.  Well, I am just loving this series from Amber Kell and R.J. Scott. A human (?) PI getting dragged further into the paranormal world, no matter what he really wants and falling in love with a vampire named Bob.  I just love it! In this new addition to the series, we have not only Bob and Sam and their new shenanigans, but we also get more of Hart and we are introduced to his love interest, Danjal.  We also find out more about the missing paranormal child case and find out the truth about her disappearance.

Sam and Bob’s relationship seems to be moving forwards in leaps and bounds.  Even if Sam still does find Bob annoying.  Sam discovers he has more new powers, even if he tries to deny them and Sam also seems to have made a scary enemy. Hart gave up his love to do his duty by his pack.  But, now he turns to Dan in his hour of need.  Dan was hurt by Hart’s actions and words, but sets it aside to find Hart’s daughter.  They discover the backstabbing of some in the wolf pack and Hart has to face down an Alpha challenge.

This story is really well written and switches between the couples as they hunt for the children.  There’s danger, excitement, some great characters and just a touch of hot loving.  There’s betrayal and there’s forgiveness and then there is the mystery that is Sam. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.  Could there be a love interest for Mikhail?  Ohhh. Maybe for Teddy the ghost??!! I also hope we get to see Trawl again, because he seems like a lovable big lug.

I will recommend this to those who love paranormal PIs, vampires, hot demons and wolves, betrayal, danger and a great storyline with a happily ever after for a wolf and his mate.

Review: This story is part of a series and is best read in order. Luke left Ellery Mountain ten years ago and vowed never to return. But, when his father is murdered and leaves Luke his half of the cabins, Luke feels it’s time to face the past before he continues his life.  But, meeting Daniel, the son of the other owner of the cabins, throws him for a loop.  But, there is no way he will be able to stay in Ellery with the ghosts that haunt him, can he? Daniel is frustrated to be unable to get hold of Luke to find out what the man plans to do with his share of the cabins.  Meeting the man and getting to know him makes him want more, but even he can see that the past haunts Luke.  Is what they have enough to chase away the ghosts?

Ahhh. Sexy Daniel’s story. hmmm *drool*. Luke returns to a place he hates.  He swore never to return, but he believes that he can settle his father’s will and get out of town without losing it.  But, he never counted on crossing paths with Daniel. Daniel has plans to help other soldiers like himself who return home needing help.  But, first he has to sort out what is happening with the cabins.  Meeting Luke he recognizes a wounded soul and they begin a hot affair.  But, when it’s time for Luke to leave, Daniel doesn’t want him to go. Will love win or are Luke’s fears driving him too hard?

This is an excellent story that delves into the long standing repercussions of childhood abuse. Luke is an excellent character.  Although, he has had therapy, the abuse he suffered while the town seemed to turn a blind eye affected him deeply. He is a strong man, but facing Ellery Mountain again shakes him to the core.  Finding love there scares him and he has to work through his feelings, before he loses love. Daniel is a wonderful man.  He wants to do something good for those affected by war and he also wants to keep a tight hold of the love he has found in the man who is perfect for him.  But, he knows that he can’t force Luke to stay.

This story is really well written and it does tug at your heartstrings for what Luke had to face alone and also the effect it is still having on him.  Daniel and Luke are an excellent pairing and are very hot together. They have a strong connection that goes further than a physical attraction and they make a great couple. The storyline is very good and I liked how Luke seemed to overcome his obstacles to accept the love he is offered and I liked how Daniel didn’t pressure Luke to recount his past. We see Max and Finn (from The Fireman and the Cop) again and Kieran and Liam and I can honestly say that I am looking forward to both their stories (The Carpenter and the Actor, and The Doctor and the Bad Boy).

I will recommend this to those who love facing the past stories, fighting for love, hot sex, great characters, a good storyline and a happy ending.

Review:  This story between Jack, Brady and Simon is beautifully written and presented. Long-time couple, Brady and Simon, meet Jack at a local club, and lust is born that turns into something else before the night is even over. A lot of people might see a three person relationship (polyamory) as wrong, but love is love, and what gives anyone else the right to say who you can or cannot love? I love the fact that neither of the two men make Jack feel like he is a third wheel, and enable him to join them without feeling guilty, though in the beginning he feels a bit insecure. He has a hard time believing either of these two men can genuinely like him, much less allow love to bloom for them. The sex is incredibly delicious and done with taste and no jealousy. A polyamorous relationship soon evolves, and in the end they all realize it was already there from basically the moment they met. As Jack helps each of the two men weather a crisis in their professional lives, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that this is exactly where all three men need to be; in each other’s arms for the rest of eternity, as a unit.

Blurb: Keddrick has denied claiming his mate for four years, separating them by worlds just to keep the man he loves safe…from him. Can he resist temptation when his love lands on his doorstep in need of help?

Eli has lusted after Keddrick from the moment the vampire stepped through the portal and into Earth. He had desperately wanted to go with Keddrick when the man returned to Pavarus, but it wasn’t allowed—not to mention Eli was under the impression that Keddrick was straight. Four years later his wish has come true, but not in the way he wanted. Barely escaping death by the hands of Wayland, head of the human council on Earth, Eli flees to Pavarus in search of help. The line of events that get him there release a hidden secret deep inside of him he never knew existed, and would soon change his life forever.

Keddrick’s restraint towards Eli is being seriously tested, and every day Eli stays with him at the coven, the harder it gets. He wants to keep his distance, but at the same time he wants to do everything he can to please Eli. Yet as time goes on, he feels his resolve slowly crumble, his love for the man too strong to ignore. Review: This story is part of a series and best read in order. Eli fell in love the first second he laid eyes on Keddrick, but Keddrick was from Pavarus and only visiting for a month and anyway Eli is sure the sexy vampire is straight. After being attacked by the head of the human council, Wayland, Eli flees to Pavarus grievously injured.  He hides the truth behind the attack from Keddrick and when Keddrick discovers the truth, it drives a wedge between them. Keddrick has denied his feelings for Eli to keep Eli safe, but Eli isn’t so understanding when he finds out Keddrick is his mate.  But, first they both have to face the threat from Wayland, before they can resolve anything between them.

I strongly recommend that you all read Pavarus before this story as there are characters and storyline links to that story. Keddrick has denied his mate Eli because of a recurring nightmare and to keep him safe from the dangers of Pavarus.  When Eli appears on Pavarus, injured and near death, it shakes Keddrick to his foundations and it is harder to resist the urge to claim Eli as his mate. Eli ends up having more on his plate than he counted for, when he recovers from his wounds.  He protects Keddrick by hiding the truth, but the truth comes out and Keddrick, Remus and Zane head to Earth to put an end to the danger… expecting Eli and Wes to wait for them.

I really am enjoying this series with its parallel world and Vampires and Dragons, the simple explanation for humans and Earth and the brilliant characters that we are introduced to. In this installment it is Keddrick and Eli’s turn to come together.  With each of them trying to protect the other from danger, discovering what the other has hidden and both of them feeling betrayal. They are perfect for each other and are a good fit.  They strike sparks off each other and clash and inadvertently cause each other pain, but they are each trying to do the right thing.

The storyline is really good and I loved how it played out, Jennifer Wright doesn’t pull her punches either so watch out for Jones. I love all the characters in this series and the way they work together, with the author weaving each character in so we get to know them and want their stories.  I really can’t wait to read Zane and Larken’s story and I am hoping that Damien will get his own book.  I also really want Aliam to have some happiness, even if it is just finding peace. It was nice to see Wes and Remus and having them interacting with Keddrick and Eli without being overpowering, Ms Wright mixed them in nicely.

I will recommend this to those who love parallel worlds, vampires, a mad human bent on domination, two hot men working out their problems, danger, hot sex and a happy ending with the promise of more to come.
