Review: Jonny hired Ashe to bartend. I don’t think he had any idea that as soon as he saw Nik he was attracted. He wanted the man. Too bad everyone keeps telling him that the man is incomparable. He never dates coworkers and isn’t too sure about those around him.

However it is up to Nik to make the move, whether he is sure or not.
I had a blast with this book and look forward to reading the next story. Although these stories are way too short. I think if they were more flushed out and details added that they would be a top rate story. They do have a great amount of humor in them that I enjoy.

These stories are a blast to read and I would definitely recommend them. Although with this one, it was a bit different. It moved to fast for me to truly love. It doesn’t really take away from the story though. Julia does have a great imagination.

Review: This is the second book in this series and I would suggest you read them in order. Kasey and Deke are a pretty amazing couple that is for sure. Deke is a werewolf who loves to be bitten and Kasey is a vampire who is into biting Deke.

Deke believes one always trusts other werewolves and he goes with it. So when they are contacted by a bitch who wanted them to follow her husband, it is Kasey that knows she is lying. Hell there is no husband, just a man who was experimented on. I think Kasey needs to keep Deke tied to the bed next time he comes up with an idea.

The sexy between them is majorly hot and kinky. It is a very fast paced story but way too short to get anything more than a nibble.

I had fun with it and definitely will be reading the next story.

Review: This is a well written short story. This was like reading someone’s fantasy or a post in Literotica. It’s only fifteen pages, but I could not stop reading what would happen next.

There is little backstory or anything to blog it down. You get the general reason Max has walked into the establishment and moves right into the action. The damn sexy and very erotic action.

All in all, a very good and enjoyable read for those who like a little something to fuel a fantasy of their own.

Review: Short. Why yes, yes we are missing two colors there, aren’t we.

Brendan has a crush on Alan, I think, and he doesn’t want his best friend Alex to know. Alex doesn’t like Alan very much, but he wants to support his friend. Then somehow, they all end up in a tunnel or the subway, and then you learn all the friends have a secret that could be deadly. Okay now someone is having sex against the wall in the dark tunnel, and it’s a little bit sexy BUT, I still couldn’t really tell you who was having sex.

I read this book, twice, and I’m still confused. The names of characters ran together and even after two runs, I couldn’t completely tell them apart. The author went from using first names to last names and there were entirely too many characters for 17 pages.

This seems to be more of a draft for a book than an actual book. I’m sorry guys but this one did not work for me.

Review: I usually don’t go for short stories, but this one was hot.

Matt and Christian are from Where You Least Expect It. They are so cute and funny. Matt is the alpha of the two, but when it comes to Christian he is tender and very loving. Christian is very sweet, loving, caring, and hot. When they come together it sets off all the fire alarms, they are so hot together. The story line is cute and funny, and will make you smile through the book. It kept my attention from beginning to the end.

I wish it were a longer book because it left me wanting to hear more, but I loved this little story. These two are the best characters I have read about in a while. I read it and just enjoyed it so much that I will be reading it again.

Review:  A Torquere Press Christmas short

This is a short, intriguing, and enjoyable Christmas read.

Tim appears to be something of a Christmas Grinch to start with when we meet him in his office. However, that changes when he gets home, and gets things ready for his absent lover. But just who is Chris, with the short, white hair and beard, who works so hard the night of Christmas Eve?

The lovers reconnect on Christmas morning, with promises and affirmations of love. At Tim’s request, they go to see the sunrise together, and then head for a favoured diner where they can sit and enjoy both the sunrise, and each other’s company.

If you like short, romantic, Christmas reads, this is for you.

Review: Roommates, Andy and Jerry, find it suspicious that their roommate, Sharon, has a bloody knife in her purse. They begin to wonder if she is crazy. But, things become confusing and misunderstood in this great story.

I found this short to be a great read. Excellent use of mystery and suspense. The romance was well executed and a surprise. I find it was certainly a worthy read. Complicated, edgy, and downright funny, it was one of those stories that made you wanna smile and laugh as you read it.

I would highly recommend this for those that like humor, a hint of romance, and a good contemporary mystery.

Review: This is a fun “I dare you to go into the big spooky house!” Halloween short story. Except the ghosts that haunt this house are rather benign, and scared visitors are more than likely to leave satisfied instead of terrified. If you can get on board with a bit of invisible lovin’ than you’ll have fun with this short story. I have a big imagination, but still had a hard time getting turned on by ghostly lovers.

Review: I absolutely loved this book. This will be a little hard for me to do justice since I have not read the first three books. Trust me that this story stood well on its own but made my mouth water to read the other three. I could feel the love, the passion, and the angst between both Ryan and Elian. I cannot wait to read the other books to find out what happened to Ryan to put him in this position. I am very happy that Elian has stepped in to reclaim him and that they can go forward.

I really want to know what happened to Ryan to cause him to lose everything and bring him to this low level in his life. I LOVED Elian and that he has had to endure watching Ryan lose everything and nearly die. Not be able to step in, but has finally being able to save him, at the last-minute.

This is a very well written, intriguing short story that makes you want to know more. The characters are well-developed, and the feelings are so deep and passionate.  I am intrigued by both the characters and the story.

If you like Christmas wishes, Angels, a man down on his luck, sweet, loving relationships and some pretty hot mansex; this is definitely for you!

Review: Aaron knows he loves Steve but watching him play Santa for his nephew makes him realize just how much he loves Steve.

This is one heck of a good short story. I was on the seat of my pants, eagerly turning the page. I loved how Aaron comes to the realization how much he loves Steve and what he wants from their relationship. I loved that Steve cared so much to play Santa and put on a show for the little tyke. To me this showed the gentle nature and loving spirit of the man.

The whole story was sweet, hot and sexy. I can’t say much more without spoilers but there were a couple unexpected twists and I couldn’t help but chuckle at the end. I would have loved a little more at the end to explain a reaction but it was cute as it is.

If you love a good, sweet story of long-term, happy relationships, playing Santa, some fairly hot mansex and a little laugh, this is definitely for you!

A Christmas miracle, however, is soon to present itself in, of all things, Jeff’s ex, David, who has a private jet at his disposal. And once a member of the Mile High Club, always a member, making this a Christmas no one will ever forget.

Product Link: http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=79_108&products_id=4085

Review: The sky is a gorgeous blue, no snowstorms, rainstorms, windstorms, hurricanes or anything else hindering the journey back home is forecasted. One would think that he’d be home celebrating the holiday with his parents, right? Wrong! Nothing short of a miracle would help Jeff get back home, and guess what? Yup, the miracle happens.

This story is very, very short. It’s one of those quick, fast-past erotic stories that only objective is to make your heart beat a bit faster for some ten minutes and then leave you there hot and bothered. Sadistic I tell ya. The characters in this story share a past. We don’t get to know much beside the fact that they are exes and to be frank, while that was a good thing, I found myself wondering why on earth they broke up. Whatever the reasons though now things are quite different. David, Jeff’s ex, has changed quite a lot – he’s become Mr. Healthy for crying out loud – and his appearance is even more alluring, drool evoking even, so of course Jeff can’t resist when the awkward two plus hours flight has a chance to become a bit… hotter.

So while the story doesn’t have much to offer beside the erotic part of it, which as I said was quite nice and well written, with one of my favorite scenes described in a way that can easily steal your sanity for a minute or two, it does however have a very nice ending, a miraculous one if you really want to believe…

Do I recommend it? Yes! It’s short, it’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s hot. What else do you want?

Product Link: http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4054

Review: I had a difficult time with this story. It jumps around quite a bit, what with who they are and what they meant to each other. It is a very short story and maybe if it had been a little bit longer with more detail and a better story line I would have enjoyed it better.

The tension between Markus and Doctor Nicodemus starts off a high, then slowly rises to end just as fast with the dangers brought on. Markus is a kind and gentle soul who idolized and wanted his Doctor Nicodemus. He worked for Nicodemus and lived there with him. There was sexual tension in the story but no actual sex. You can’t help but slowly love these two and be scared for them.

It has a paranormal shift to this story that I wish had been more in detail and a better plot to the story. It left me hanging and wishing for more.

Review: Okay, so what’s the basic formula for a romance? Boy meets boy, boy falls for boy, there is a conflict, followed by a resolution and then a happily ever after. There is no rule that says that all these things cannot happen in a single day, date or within 26 pages.  Jacob and Chance are hot, they are compatible and when they meet between the sheets, it’s combustible. The fact that the romance formula is captured within 26 pages with characters which are likable and believable is not an easy feat, but is one accomplished well in this story.

A very fun little read.  You need a quick fifteen to twenty-minute pick me up? Then this will definitely do the trick.

Review: Once again, this is an example of a well-written short story.  Two men meet in a bar, hit it off and then decide to go home and hit it off even better between the sheets. The story focuses largely on the interaction between the two men and that intense focus pulls the reader in.  Bailey and Curt are obviously attracted to each other and decide to meet up at a later date until fate intercedes and they move their tryst up.  As expected, both men burn it up between the sheets.  What the reader gets is that they are viewing what is possibly the beginning of something more, and that peak inside is what makes the story so appealing.

The characters are very likable and believable and you can see the two men are very much in character.

Nice short read.

Review: WoW.  It’s amazing exactly how much heat can be packed into 38 pages!  The story is very short and actually has two plotlines. The first story is about Bartholome and Rene and Rene accepting that he and Bartholome are meant to be together.  There are some small insecurities to overcome for said acceptance to occur. Once that acceptance happens, the second story begins which is about Bartholome’s best friend and what (no the what is not in error) appears might be his mate as well.  The author is clearly setting the reader up for the next story that will follow this one.

At first, I thought that this as a light BDSM sex romp type of book and then I realized that the author had snuck in a theme of belonging and creating your own family that you are comfortable with.  Not only do Bartholome and Rene find each other and begin their HEA, but also his BFF is apparently well on his way to doing the same.  The four will create their own pack and begin a new reality.  So there’s lots of steam as we have come to expect from a paranormal romance and a solid literary theme thrown in for good measure.

He’s surprised when he arrives to find he will be treated like a member of the family instead of a mere servant or companion. His first night at the manor there is a violent storm and he awakes to find someone in his bed. A heated night of passion with someone just a little more hairy than normal leaves Victor sated, happy and confused. He sets out to figure out who shared his bed and pleasured him last night.

This was just a cute story with a paranormal edge. There is a lot of content for just a few pages. I’d like to see more of the characters in this short. You learn that Victor is an orphan, but I’d like more on that story. You learn that the Ragingwood’s have a secret, but I’d like more on that story as well. Regardless, this was a very sexy little short, I highly recommend!

Review: I normally love ménage, and while this was a fun one to read when it came down to it, it wasn’t as engaging.

We have two characters that are 40 and 35 years old. That alone would have me read it with more enthusiasm, as I do love mature couples; however, they didn’t quite make me feel their age. There were times that I thought that their behavior was mostly that of people on their late twenties. The chemistry between the two was also nonexistent and it failed to make me get into them as much. As the main couple failed that, so did the trio when they met. The whole situation had a feeling as if the entire plot was worked around their threesome rather than the other way around.

So in the end as much as the read was not bad, it was something I went all crazy for or even got enthralled with, but if you like a nice, fast ménage story, then you might want to give it a try.

Review: Well the story is in 24 pages so one cannot expect much story, character or plot development to occur. Stories of this length are usually about a single scene or occurrence. This story, however, occurs over the course of a year.  Now the title is clear in that the key elements occur in 9 weeks.

The story is set in New York City in 1975. Marcus has left Pittsburgh and his best friend to pursue life in the big apple.  Enter Griff and his interactions with Marcus.  Marcus has plans like all young men to conquer the city and to sleep his way through all five burrows.  However, his plan is derailed by Griff. The pages detail the nine week relationship which the two men share and how Marcus moves from singlehood into couplehood without even realizing it.

The story reads more like a magazine article chronicling how two men meet more so than a novel type story about two men. Instead of ‘seeing’ the interaction between the characters, it’s related to the reader through third-party narration, which is what gives it an article feel. The author uses language well and the overall feel of the story was hazy, almost like reading the story through a filmy veil.  It gave a nice ‘feel’ to the story even if you feel like you needed more substance to hold on to.

The best part of the story is actually the interaction between Marcus and his best friend where the author uses dialogue very well to accomplish explaining Marcus’ feelings for Griff.  The story would have been fuller had the author used the same technique between Griff and Marcus.

I liked the plot premise immensely and being set in 1975 could have been an amazing backdrop for the story. I hope the author goes back and makes this into a full novel and explores the relationship between Marcus and Griff, and continues to use the secondary characters to aid in the character development for both Marcus and Griff. The author takes great pains to ‘tell’ the reader how Griff is rather than showing us through is interaction his Marcus and his friends.  He’s also civic-minded and that could have added great texture to the story.

All in all, it’s a GREAT story idea, but at 24 pages, it’s really a summary.  I REALLY hope the author makes this a longer novel; even doubling it could accomplish spectacular things.
