Review: I’m going to sound so cheesy, but this was a naughty, naughty read. Made me giggle like stupid. What can I say, I find threesomes awesome, but this one was written in such a fun, fun way. Yeah! Made giggle on top of everything else…

Honestly, there’s nothing more plot-wise here. This is a story about a threesome relationship. Two of the guys used to be Marines once upon a time and Rig secretly misses that. So once in a while, when he’s alone, he explores this uniform fetish he’s developed, until one day he gets caught.

Imagine getting early home and finding your lover working himself. Now that is an invitation one can’t resist, and damn if Sean Michael doesn’t deliver a hot erotic scene to blow your mind. It’s playful, sensual, and sexy as hell. It had me verging between panting and giggling stupid at the whole deal.

So there, you want a fun little bite, this extremely short story is strongly recommended.

Blurb: Five years after an accident in the Army left Jim blind, he’s braving the summer heat and a new guide dog to walk in the 4th of July parade with the other Wounded Warriors. In Jim’s imagination, he finished the parade, got down on one knee in his uniform, and asked Milo The Question. But a touch of heatstroke wasn’t in his plan, and he still hasn’t found Milo in the crowded fairgrounds. It’s going to take perseverance, strength, and a little love from Milo to get Jim through this Dog Days March.

Review: Jim had thought it would be easy for him to walk the parade and find Milo at the end of it, but he hadn’t considered the heat and how strongly it would affect him. He doesn’t want to blow this up, doesn’t want to be trouble again, but his lover of four years never seems to mind. Anything you want is something Milo never says in vain, but means it completely. Well, what Jim wanted was for this to be a perfect day so he could pop the question. That won’t happen now. But, in the end, what is more perfect than the two of them together?

Such a lovely read this one, sweet and gentle, made out of the finest emotions. I loved its characters. Jim and his silent strength. His dignity and charm were so palpable; it was just so nice reading about him. And Milo, well you always get a certain respect for partners of veterans who stay strong and loving, beside them all the way in such unselfish way.

This quick story even though a bit melancholic was very enjoyable. Strongly recommended for the romantic souls out there.

Blurb: Forbidden love and the risk of execution dance together, a dangerous waltz of passion and terror. When the nightmare comes true for the ambassador, the king must use every bit of his cunning and wit or they will both face the sword.

The king and the ambassador first appeared in my last year’s Charity Sip, Slow Awakening.

Product Link: http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=79_111&products_id=4002

Review: Part of the Charity Sip Blitz package.

Sequel to Slow Awakening, Final Awakening follows the King and the Ambassador in yet another adventure.

This time the King visits the kingdom of king Oban in order to find his lover and perhaps persuade him to follow him back to his own kingdom. His epiphany, that their relationship goes beyond mere lust and passion, has him in a state of eagerness. After all this could be the beginning of his happily ever after with the man who owns him body and soul.

However, the danger of their relationship doesn’t lie far from dark corners, and when the King finally reaches his destination, he understands all too well how true that is.

I love it when an author manages to spin such a tale in such a short story. The tension drawn from the danger the characters faced was well felt and from the very start of the story I got engaged and slightly trapped in its web.

What made a huge impression to me though was the fact that I finished the story and started writing this review before I realized that I have no idea what the characters are named. It’s just the King and the Ambassador, and I was going through the book once again in the slight chance I missed their damned names however impossible that seems. But there you have it, and it says a good deal about the enthralling way this tale is told.

Now there are elements of BDSM implied in the story, and the pair even engages in one such scene. However if you’re expecting a proper BDSM scene you might be disappointed because the way I saw it, it was lighter than light, and the author simply uses it to showcase the type of relationship and bond that exist between these two men.

Bottom end though, I loved it. I still want to know their names, because I feel a bit detached, and they are a bit faceless too, but I still loved it.

Jason’s bi, and doesn’t care how Casey dresses — he’s fallen in love — but how can he convince Casey of that?

Review: Hot damn! This was one hell of a horny read. Uhm! Excuse me while I fan myself.

Right, so now that that’s done, let me get to the story.

What is it with authors and teasing? Hmm? Not that I mind, oh no, but this entire read is a teas. And it’s official; I have a fetish about stories that feature sexy men in woman’s clothes.

So here we have Jason working the EMS/First Aid booth at Pride when a sexy lady in a most alluring walk/prowl walks by. The gorgeous woman has both his and his partner’s heads turned around, but when a dog tangles in her feet causing her to fall it is Jason who jumps at the opportunity to offer First Aid.

And feel free to let you imagination run wild. Have you read a more blatant come on? Here it is, screaming loud and clear “you turn me on,” and damn it if it did had the same effect for this reader.

Moving on, this story for me was brilliant; I loved it and loved its characters. Jason is the most non-judgmental, sweet, sexy horn dog I’ve read recently, making me wish all people were just. Like. Him! As for Casey, God the imagery of that man is so damn sexy and hot, he could show Hell the meaning of true fire. He was not so much drag as he was just plain beautiful both as a guy and impersonating a woman. I adored him.

The story itself verged from extremely erotic to awfully sweet and that was a damn feat to accomplish.

So there you have it, if you like me, like this type of stories, and this short is just the thing to get you hot and bothered in no time.

Review: This was a nice little story about Aaron, a fire captain, and Zak, an artist. The men are already in a partnership that was described in a very appealing way. I liked the fact that these guys were so playful with each other even as they were together for a long time.

Their everyday life was quite normal, but the occasional charity event made for some fun and teasing. One such even was the car wash the fire department pulled for homeless kids. Now, the visual effect of said scene was hot. I sat there reading and re-reading this particular scene daydreaming and well, letting my imagination roam wild.

I, however, was not the only one affected, as the characters took advantage of the heat accumulating and next thing I’m aware of is this really hot bedroom scene were all the teasing of the day is let loose in a very erotic scene.

But, despite the short length, this read was not all fun and games. A fireman’s job has its bad days and a graphically detailed accident scene brought us back to reality and how ugly it can sometimes be. If only we all had a solid relationship like Aaron and Zak.

I liked this story a lot. As said above, it was fun, it was erotic, and it had a dose of reality in it that appeals to me. This ends up being a very enjoyable comfort read. Recommended!

Maybe even more so when they end up on a coffee date. Patrick’s disabilities, caused by the accident that took him out of the Army, combined with Jasper’s lingering resentment over the secrecy that eventually broke them up, make for a rocky first date. Is practice enough to make perfect this time?

Review: Well… damn! Talk about a quick read to rip your heart out and you shall get it. Jeez, I’m still a bit sad over this read, even as it ended well the happiness came hand in hand with the sadness and leaving a weird blend of emotions in its wake.

So the blurb says more than enough. I only want to add that for such a short read both characters had a great appeal for me. I was drawn to them, Patrick because he makes you want to hold and love him, and Jasper because he’s so freaking cool, and toward the end there he was also so freaking erotic that makes you wanna jump his bones.

Lovely writing, well set flashbacks, and a great story. Yeah, if you’re looking for a read with a full range of emotions this is it. Recommended!

Review: Part of the Charity Sip Blitz package.

I just loved this short story, again wishing for more because there really, really should be more about Mike and Dante.

After some troubled years in high school where coming out was not all love and sunshine, Cadet Lieutenant Mike Ruggiero is finally finding a family in FSA camp, bonding with his squad members and actually forgetting all about gay, straight etc. All it matters is his training and he feels great about it, until rumors of a gay guy existing in camp started spreading.

“Here we go again,” he thinks and fear of the same dark times he lived in high school covered him, only to vanish in thin air when his entire squad seemed supportive. And just as he was starting to feel elated that his friends were so cool with him, some negativity comes from one of his squad members. Dante is not appreciating Mike “claiming” to be gay that much…

I just loved it. It was interesting, it was griping, it made want more and more, and Dante, oh man, this character had me screaming inwardly at the author saying: “forget about the MC and focus a bit more on Dante for crying out loud.”

So no, this was not the hot, steamy, stimulating erotica, it was a rather sweet and slightly emotional read, but that was more than ok with me. Strongly recommended!

Review: This story is very cute and sweet. Although the main character is a homicide policeman, it lacks the angst that usually follows them. This focuses more on the sweet beginning of a relationship.

Kyle is a very nice character and quite hot as well, but the fact that his job is demanding, always butts in when least expected, and on top it’s quite dangerous has left Kyle with a series of failed dates and relationships that died before they even started. Until he met Roman.

Now Roman is a most eclectic character. He’s French and he has that charm following him. He’s the dream Kyle never dared having; calm, sweet, understanding, and incredibly hot.

What I mostly liked in this story though was their first date. It was as awkward as a real life first date goes. Loved it, loved the fact that not everything was immaculate and that a great dose of reality was included.

As I said a very sweet read that makes you go all “awww” in the end. Recommended!

This story while it enticed me terribly with the psychic characters set in the WWII era also left me unsatisfied with its end.

Honestly I loved it all, Sam and Charlie, the Circle, the idea of blending WWII with paranormal activity. It was all so enticing, had me wrapped in its web instantly. But the fact that it was too short for this sort of plot, the fact that there was a great need for space and more development for the story to have a full impact on you, and the end that was so abrupt that left a hole in my feeling of this book, made me rate it so low.

I would have loved this idea to have been told in a full novel, or at least a novella. As it was it simply left me hollow, an emotion I don’t really appreciate after a read.

Review: Part of the Charity Sip Blitz package.

Wow, I want more from this story; I wasn’t more Jacob and Nicholas.

This was a first one for me in its theme. I haven’t had a naval pilot/astronaut before; admittedly, I liked this one a lot.

Jacob was a delightful character. His condition should have evoked pity from sadness, or me but oddly enough, it didn’t. I was a bit awed reading about him and his struggling through recovery, but mostly I liked Jacob to a point that, yes, I want another follow-up, longer this time story.

Another reason for that is the fact that his relationship with Nicholas (who btw is his husband) was on the kinky side, but it was so easily introduced, so easily narrated, that it was as if the writer was writing vanilla sex for crying out loud. It blends beautifully and the scene itself was not so much erotic as it was sweet, effortless, and sensual.

So, do you fault me for wanting a full on novel on these guys?

Review: Part of the Charity Sip Blitz package.

This story was quite sweet and drove home the fact that when you show a little kindness you might get it back tenfold.

Evan is this sweet, selfless countryman and as a character, he’s immediately lovable. Of course, his kindness, while it started without ulterior motives, ended up a bit on the selfish side as Russ is beginning to be an obsession for him. As much as Evan tries not to make himself obvious, he fears his longing is escaping from the cracks. But Evan is in for a big surprise when, after offering a comfort dinner to Russ, things get intense and hot between them.

I loved this pairs chemistry and the way their relationship developed. I liked very much the fact that it wasn’t rushed. And the ending was quite satisfying in the fact that not only was it sweet and perfect, but it lacked the mushy and sappy feeling short stories have a tendency for.

Review: Why this was a surprise. I liked this short story very, very much. It was hot and it drew me into it instantly.

What’s not to like though. Make a deal with the devil and have a life people envy you for. Full of richness and happiness. Only downside is when the devil comes to collect. But is it really a downside, or is it the most perfect part of the bargain?

Take a wild guess. Yup! You guessed right if you picked the latter, for this demon is heavenly. When he comes to collect, Mark and Alan are his for three nights. The best part is that he is also theirs for that amount of time. And the demon is hot in every meaning of the word.

As for our boys, I liked the contrast between them. I loved eager Mark, and I loved brooding Alan. His pushy side would have benefited more in a slightly longer story methinks.

This story is one of those I think it’s too short and needs a follow-up, now damn it! Yeah, totally recommended!

Review: Wow, an early-years story for Marcus and Jim. Let’s see; this is quite a short one and the core theme is quite simple. Pour some chocolate down a sub’s body and have your way with it, no matter how long it takes… Wicked in the fact that the sub must show a great deal of patience and endure the pleasure levels getting higher and higher.

What caught my attention – as I haven’t read the early stories in the Hammer series – is Jim. He looked nothing like the Jim in Hitched for example. Here Jim is so in his shell still. He is actually scared of Tanny and it just about killed me. Hilarious!

However, the dialogues and general chemistry remained the same for me, not so appealing. The whispered “Master” that kept falling out of Jim’s mouth fell flat and had no gravity in the BDSM-side at all for me. I keep expecting something, some intensity out of them, but I don’t seem to get there. I mostly found this read cute when I should have found it erotic, and that is what actually bothers me. As for Bill and Tanny, they were great at playing the soundtrack in this little story.

Product Link: http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=79_93&products_id=3953

Review: A fun, fast and quite enjoyable short story Heart of Stars is another take on the “whore finds love” theme, spiced up quite a lot by the era it’s placed upon.

Afron is a barbarian Chieftain. He has for long while visiting Makara, a whore that made an impression to him, yet he can’t bring himself to think more of that, or give the whore anything else but coins.

It does take a brutal battle to wake Afron from his blindness and see that Makara is not a mere infatuation, rather his fated mate. But the last time he visited Makara, Afron was told it indeed would be the last time. Could he have lost his love forever?

Now this was a story I’d surely love to read not in this short “peek a boo”, but in a rather developed novella. The idea is quite enticing, the execution and writing style were great, and the lingering wistfulness that accompanied the end of the story was unexpected. I mostly enjoyed the initial battle, the descriptions of which made me crave for more and more… *sigh*

As it is, if you’re in search for a hot Barbarian wrapped up in the spell of Fate and a sexy rent-boy, this is the story for you. The intimate scenes will make it while worth it. 

Review: Do you dare look into the eyes of the Abyss? Do you dare look into the Abyss of your own soul? Are you strong enough to face it and live to tell the tale?

Many men have the arrogance to believe they can, few ever get out of it sane, one managed to love it and be loved by Abyss himself.

Enticing isn’t it? I thought so myself and I was rewarded with a very well written short erotica. It did help the fact that I’m a sucker for pain-plays and sadomasochistic scenes, for this is a read that will make you cringe if you’re not drawn to the genre.

As it is, it made even me wince and that mean something. I loved how the author made this work, from introduction, where she entices you with glimpses of the Abyss, till the very end, where you get to breathe in their love. I felt every single word of this short electrify my brain with the subtle power it holds.

So if you are a lover of good erotica placed in a fantasy and wrapped in pain and sensuality, while being utterly hot, you’ll love this shorty.

When his best friend Jamie falls victim to the nightmare, Jordan’s only hope is to use his dreamcatcher– and prepare to face the consequences.

Review: Jordan always thought that the story told to him when he was small by his grandfather was just that a story.  But, when other kids at his school start falling sleep and never waking up, he knows there was truth behind it. When his best friend Jamie falls asleep, Jordan prays that his dreamcatcher can capture the nightmare plaguing his town.

This is a great Young Adult short fantasy that while not strictly LGBT, isn’t strictly straight either. It is more just young adult with no sexual orientation hanging over it, so whoever reads it can make up their own minds as to the orientation of the characters. Jordan’s great-great-grandfather defeated a warlock many years before, the dreamcatcher and the story has been passed down through the family since that time. But now is the time when the warlock returns and Jordan has to hope that he can save his friends. However, being caught in a nightmare wasn’t part of the plan and it is down to Jamie to rescue Jordan.

Dreamcatcher is a great little fantasy story that is beautiful in its simplicity.  An old tale and a dreamcatcher are all that is needed to defeat a deadly foe.  Two seventeen year olds are the heroes and their friendship keeps them strong. The characters are nice and the general feel you get from them is that they will be friends for life. More than that is hard to catch as it is a very short story. The warlock is nicely nasty and the solution is nicely carried out.

I have to recommend this to all teenagers and young adults, adults who like simple young adult fantasy, solid friendships and a great ending.

Review:  Both Cord and Dan were in Austin to find company. They found they both had a lot in common and Cord asked Dan to stay.  Cord asked for three days to sway him to stay. Dan hated New York, but was committed there. Will Dan go home alone to the cold or will he stay and with Cord?  I’m not telling. You will have to read it yourself.

This was a very sweet and romantic story. My only issue was it was just too short!! I would have loved to read more. The characters were interesting and the scenes were sweet and hot.

I recommend this to anyone that loves a good short fast read, cowboys, college students, sweet love stories and sweet hot loving sex.
