When Grayson’s charred past reappears, can he learn that forgiveness costs less than pride and admit he is the one who needs to be healed?

Review: This was the first book I’ve read by Jules Dixon and I have to say that it was a pretty good introduction to a new author. There are plenty of hot cowboys– woo hoo, feel the heat rising! Though we also have a character who just got his PhD and obviously struggling to find work – that just hit too close to home for me, recently I have inadvertently picked books with guys getting or quitting their PhD and for someone who is almost finished their own doctoral thesis, it was just too close to home when it comes to knowing the character’s stress and pressure levels.

Dr Grayson Taylor (PhD) goes back to his hometown/family’s ranch so he can lick his wounds after getting his heart broken by a cheating ex. Lucky for him, the hot new local bar tender presents the perfect opportunity to try to start moving on. That bartender, Izaac Scott, also happens to be a cowboy and unbeknownst to the guys, the ranch where Izaac picked up some extra work happens to be Grayson’s family. Izaac is a bit of a drifter and has a history for not staying in the one place for too long, though he is also the sole carer for his younger sister.

These guys have a lot of baggage and a bulk of the story is watching these guys come to terms with their respective pasts so that they can actually have some sort of meaningful relationship. They are a bit awkward at first when it comes to actually forming something beyond the physical, but they work really well together.

Admittedly there a few errors within the text itself. The two that stuck in my mind as when a dislocated shoulder became a broken collarbone, and a character called Nate suddenly became Neil for a moment. Still, I’m willing over look this sort of silly error, though it is a pity that it was not picked up during editing. Additionally, Grayson’s attempts to use his woo-woo (well, psychology techniques I assume) seemed at first condescending, so I admit that at first although I felt for him I really didn’t connect with him, especially when it felt like he was forcing Izaac to open up about everything so soon in their relationship.

Overall, this was a fun read and I am looking forward to next book in the series.

Review:  I have read several books by this author and I absolutely love the titles for her stories. They have a serious tone to them but it is equalled out by the amount of humor that I find in each story. Now it seems that this one follows just a bit like the others, with a bit of pain at first.

In this story our character is in love with his boss, but he never got the guts to tell him. So when his boss told the company that he was getting married, well you can imagine how Barry reacted. Thanks to his best friend, he is on his way home. Barry is a bear shifter that is not like any bear shifter you come across, but you will have to read it to find out. Out for a run, he comes across the man that was meant for him. Too bad the man shoots him.

You can’t really go into details about these kinds of stories because they are way too short. I hate to give a good book away before you get a chance to read. However trust me; this one is a blast and a half. I had a lot of fun reading it and look forward to Angelique’s next book. I do wish though that they were a bit longer, more than just a taste.

Review: I really enjoyed this story. You have Jimmy who is blind and is looking for the one. Then you have Master Micah who is recovering from the loss of his last submissive.

These two are just what the other needs to move forward. I liked the differences between the two as well as the independent nature of Jimmy despite his disability. I just wish it had been longer.

Review: This is not at all linked with Frey Ortega’s book, A Billionaire’s Gamble, but if you have read that you will enjoy Falling for the Assistant, perhaps even more than the former. I feel the following opinion needs repeating for this review, although I have said it before of Frey Ortega: I have yet to find a Frey Ortega book that I do not enjoy. And I really loved this one – sometimes, when I’m ultra-stressed I love nothing more than reading a book that I describe as a “trashy romance”. Trashy in the fact that the plot line reminds of a typical Mills and Boon novel minus the inevitable pregnancy, because this is neither a paranormal or m-preg book (though I would read that too!).

And this certainly does fall under the old trashy romance banner, I think. We got a rich, sexy guy who is a bit lost when it comes to love, and he happens to fall in love with his sexy, smart and super efficient assistant. There is also a crazy ex thrown into the mix. In this case, the sexy and smart assistant is Caden. He’s been Raphael Shepherd’s assistant for a few months now, in New York, after graduating college. Raphael requires Caden to leave New York and move over to California to continue his role as assistant while his California assistant goes on maternity leave. Yet, all Raphael wants not only his wonderfully efficient assistant in his life he also wants him in his bed.

The guys are complete opposites of each other but they work so perfectly together. The sexual tension is sizzling and obvious from the start. Caden is the type of man that can calm the tense millionaire and it’s not just because he can make work life easier. He just has type of fun personality that compliments Raphael’s serious personality. But in between all that, Raphael’s other assistant, Serena, is there to steer the lover’s true in some sort of energetic, pregnant fairy godmother sort of way.

Review: Eric is having trouble moving on since his last relationship ended so his friends get him an android named Sloot. Eric however does not want to jump into bed right away he’d rather get to know Sloot first.

Sloot is a sex android. The surprising about him was that he has feelings and dreams of being with someone who will treat him right rather than use him like men have done in the past. I loved the interactions between these two. They were endearing and sweet yet thoughtful and considerate of one another.

I especially loved the way Eric protected Sloot. It was an awesome story that was well written with plenty of hot scenes and warm interactions to keep the reader interested.

I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Review: In the end to a fantastic series Alexander has been saved by his brothers.  His battle is still ongoing as the collar comes off .After years of being influenced by the collar even without it on he still has tendencies to want to hurt others.

Nigel knows what’s happening with Alexander and seems to be the only one able to get through to him when it happens. Nigel is also attracted to the youngest brother and the feeling is quite mutual.

I love this series so much. Reading about the lives of each brother’s fate was fascinating. Alexander’s was heart-breaking in what happened to him. I completely understood his need for vengeance and revenge. The queen deserved everything that happened to her warped ass self.

I was so happy Alexander and his brothers were finally reunited. This book has everything a fantastic plot, sexy men, action, drama and some hot sex. Highly recommended.

Review: I’ve read a few Tamsin Baker books in a matter of weeks and I have to say that I quite enjoy the stories. They are simple and to the point. This story will draw a lot of people because the MCs are the two dreamiest occupations when coupled with sexy men – fireman and a doctor.

Obviously the titular, Dr Zach, is the doctor of this piece. He’s an emergency room doctor who got to where he was because of his dedication to his study and his career. And that is not unexpected for a doctor, really. Through his fire fighter brother, Zach meets Dylan and at first treats him at the fire station when Dylan refuses to go to hospital. The two of them give into the sparks and hot sexual tension between them. The story then becomes a tale of two guys getting to know each other, having hot sex and trying to reconcile their personal and professional lives.

Despite the fact that I enjoyed this book, there were a number of issues that did come up in the course of the book. I think I found comfort in some of the Australian-isms that came up throughout the story. But then, right at the end there was mention of a road trip to Vegas – wait, what? Are they road tripping to Brisvegas (a name given to Brisbane, Queensland to pay them out)? This book really needed to have the setting specified if the author was to write in their native tongue, so to speak. If we had known from the outset that we are town X, USA it would have been easier to swallow.

The other thing was that the main fight that happened between them, and there were a couple other spats, but it was all down to frustrating miscommunication and me trying to figure out how they could not understand each other’s schedules. However, I did see the cause for the conflict well enough, it was Zach’s devotion to his work over his life, and that could have probably been explored better.

Over all, the story was enjoyable, just take it on face value and you will find that this is a fun way to pass some spare time.

Trashy in the fact that the plot line reminds of a typical Mills and Boon novel minus the inevitable pregnancy, because this is neither a paranormal or m-preg book (though I would read that too!).

The plot itself is fun. It’s simple and interesting enough to capture my attention. It’s your usual nerdy, bookish guy meets rich, immature playboy. For me this book did hit close to home because one MC, Dylan, has started his PhD and was left wondering about his academic future. Seriously, if you’re doing your Masters or PhD and close to submitting your thesis, this may not be the best get away from your stress, take it from someone with that exact experience.

Dylan, however, is a sweetheart and for more reasons than his academic pursuits, he is definitely the most relatable character. Then there is Remy, although he is far less relatable he is no doubt a wonderful, dark and brooding rich man who you could just fall for. The fact that he is also a playboy and immature at the start, makes him a bit stereotypical. But his character is redeemed because Dylan comes into his life and he begins to fall in love with the lovable nerd. Remy doesn’t

I adored this book from start to finish. It was fun and honestly, that was all I needed. In fact, I would love to see some of Remy’s friends find their own HEAs in their own stories.

Review: This is a nice and quick read. I generally enjoy Shawn Lane’s books and this was different. I think the only downfall that this is a short, past paced book because part of me wanted to know more about the characters.

The story follows waiter, Thomas and his infatuation/hate for new waiter, Noah Petrie. However, these guys have a past history. They went to the same high school but Noah does not even recognize Thomas, in fact Thomas was barely a blip on Noah’s radar. That is especially where I would have loved to have seen more between the guys.

While I enjoyed the story, I just wanted more of it enjoy.

Review: Wow this story was amazing. Lucas wins the lottery with a stolen ticket. Phoenix is dealing with a lot in his young life. So much so, that I was extremely concerned for him and how he would make it.

Each man is trying to deal with external and internal struggles they best they can, given their individual circumstances. I really enjoyed the well-balanced nature of this story as it progressed. What I did not enjoy was all the errors. But that’s the editors fault not the authors.

Great story that packs an emotional pack. Loved it.

Blake, a biker bear shifter, is in town for the sole reason to get his bike checked out as it was acting up while on the road. What Blake doesn’t expect is to meet a sexy Omega with a feisty side to him.

I loved the actual story, but felt it had way more sex in it that was needed for a book this size. I was pissed at the bullies in this story thinking they could do whatever they wanted no matter if that person was already mated. I felt bad for Jake, but also happy that he finally met someone.

It seemed more than half the book was sex scenes. Although it was hot I prefer more story than sex in the books I read.

It was an o.k. read.

For years I had pretended I didn’t care. Ignoring my feelings had become second nature to me. Evernight: http://www.evernightpublishing.com/innocence-on-film-by-lilith-duvalier/

Reviewer: Kenna

Review: “Innocence on Film” is a short, sweet, and to the point erotic romance. However, I’m not sure if I’d call it “sweet” per se. Let me explain.

Shawn and Fletcher are broke…hopelessly, haplessly, broker than broke. They’re months behind on their rent, and neither of them have a job at the moment. They resign themselves to moving back to Iowa and being miserable. The boys decide to take their last 40 dollars, go to a bar, and get drunk. While they’re there, the bartender says he knows someone who can help them out and points them to man on the other end of the bar.

That man approaches them with an offer they pretty much can’t refuse (in a hilariously written German dialect, no less). He pays men to have sex on camera. At this point, I should mention that Shawn and Fletcher are straight. They’ve been with women all their lives and they don’t really have much inclination to change, except the money can pay their back rent and keep them in the big city for several months while they try to get back on their feet.

According to the German man, straight men having gay sex for the first time is very popular on the internet right now, and he’s got a website that caters to those who love that type of film.

As you can guess, Shawn and Fletcher take the man up on his offer. They’re nervous, but they figure that, since they’re best friends, everything would be alright in the long run. The German man gives them a rundown on what he’d like them to do, then turns the camera on and tells the boys to get on with it. It’s awkward at first, but soon, they give themselves over to the passion, and they have really great sex. They leave the building with their cash, but there are feelings between them they didn’t expect.

The rest of the story focuses on Shawn and Fletcher coming to terms with what they did. Shawn hides out in his room for weeks, not really wanting to see Fletcher. Meanwhile, Fletcher goes and gets a job helping to design a certain gay movie company’s website. They keep thinking about each other and that night. They’re confused and even a little scared. Finally, it’s the day when their movie is to debut on the site. How do they feel about that?

I liked “Innocence on Film”. I didn’t love it. I wanted to because the blurb really grabbed me. I usually fall in love with at least one of the MC’s, but Shawn and Fletcher never really moved me. Their personalities rubbed me the wrong way, and I was getting so angry with Shawn for not facing Fletcher and talking things out. He was cowardly, in my opinion, and I just can’t get past that.

The single sex scene was off the charts hot, but the romance that I wanted to see develop never really came about. As I mentioned, they thought about each other a lot, but that just wasn’t enough for me.

This was a very short read. It took me just over an hour to get through it, and I’m not sorry I read it, but I just felt like there should have been more…more romance, more sex, and more communication.

Just more.

Blurb: Law
Being in the internationally successful boy band Right Time had been everything I had ever wanted and more. Well, except for one thing, or should I say one person, but I had long ago acknowledged that I couldn’t have both and to be happy with what I had. That was until he showed up in my life again. And then nothing made sense.

Byron
For years I had pretended I didn’t care. Ignoring my feelings had become second nature to me. That was until my niece begged me to take her to see her favorite boy band Right Time for her birthday and I came face to face with him. In all fairness, she had no idea the can of worms she’d be opening. And in all honesty, neither did I.

Review: This is the first series by Jess that I have read and I enjoy them quite a bit. Although have the time I want to smack the guys around. For such a short story they actually have a lot of depth to them and the characters are fully developed. They are a joy to read.

Law is one-fourth the member of his band and he is totally in the closet. Although he has had the hots for his music teacher for quite a while. However the one time he made a move Byron told him no. Byron knew that Law had to grow before a move could be made.

I am not one for teachers and students getting together, it just comes off creepy to me. However Jess wrote it perfectly and I was so glad to see this. It shows how Bryon does care for Law right from the start. Although it is still creepy, the book doesn’t come off like that at all.

I enjoyed the ending the best of all, although the two year drop doesn’t sit well with me. I want to know about the two years.

I had a blast reading this and look forward to the next story.

Review: Each book in The Year of Moons collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

There is nothing better than a paranormal romance involving two gorgeous men. I do love the unique way this story is told, although I must admit the series name doesn’t really catch me. I did love the title and the fact that it just seems to pull you in. It was a refreshing story that I did enjoy reading.

However I have to say that cheating is a no go for me and brought the story to a down side. That is one of my major hates and when an author puts that in, I do not look forward to reading any more of that series. I absolutely hated that and felt for Braden.
Ville was a horrible creep when he finds out that Braden was his mate. Made me hate him and wished that Braden had another mate. Ville swears that it is his demon part of him but in the end we know what will happen.

The story is well written and had a lot of depth to it. I wasn’t really sure if I liked it or not. I hope that the next story doesn’t have the same problems this one did. I still think Braden deserves another mate. However the ending was a bit better than I had expected.

Marie Medina is an amazing author and I do look forward to reading her stories, but this one just didn’t do it for me.

This inked biker is certainly not your ordinary kind of nanny, but the man’s instant rapport with his daughter convinces Aaron that Jordan is perfect for the job.

All Aaron has to do is keep his hands off his nanny—simple, right? Well, it would be if the two men could ignore the combustible, sexual tension between them. Jordan wants nothing more than to be allowed to take care of his new boss and his adorable baby.

If only he could convince the stubborn man that Sunshine and Love is all they need.

Review: I haven’t had any experience with Doris’s books so I wasn’t sure what to expect. When coming across an author that I have not read, I am a bit leery of them. Although I don’t much care for short stories, because they grab you, tease you and then drop you. To be honest there are several mistakes that could have easily been avoided. Now I finished this book pretty easily however I needed more from it.

First off when interviewing a female for a nanny position and the girl hints that there could be something more, all I can say is run. However I do believe Aaron might have just been nuts. However he needs a nanny for his cutie pie of a daughter. I don’t think he expected one very sexy biker for the job. However his daughter knew the one she wanted it would seem.

Now the fact that this book comes off rushed is one of my issues and then there is the fact that it jumps time just drives me nuts. There is a problem with the way it is told also that will drive you to throwing the book across the room. The Dom and sub part is hot though. If not a bit bizarre. It comes off as a bit well off. I loved the fact that the nanny is a guy though. Also the fact that they can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves. Back to another problem though is the way they act towards each other is just funny as hell.

Now the cover is hot, the blurb gives you an idea of a story that will captivate you and then the story itself is not what I expected. I was hoping for a bit more in it. You can’t say that these two didn’t have chemistry though because hot damn they were smoking. Aaron is a dominate but I have to tell you that he acted the opposite in parts of it though. The way they acted with each other was what made the book though.

All over the story was a tad bit disappointing, but I had fun with it. I would like a bit more to the next story though. Not so much weirdness though. I can actually see myself reading this once more. I look forward to seeing what other stories this author has out.

Review: This is the seventh book in the Outlaw MC series. It’s a fantastic addition to the series as we learn about Valentine, Romeo’s brother, and Grim. Valentine has been in prison on earth since he was 16 years old. He has learned the hard way not to trust anyone until he meets Grim.

Grim is an Outlaw MC who used to be on the other side of the law. He feels guilty about those years but in my opinion he couldn’t help what others did. But he most definitely should have told Valentine who he was. These two set the pages on fire with their intensity.

This book starts out with a nail-biting scene and continues the same pace throughout the entire story. There is no shortage of action packed scenes with edge of your seat fight scenes not to mention a lot of flirting and sexy action between Grim and Valentine.

My heart broke during the telling of what had happened to Liam. I so wanted to do physical harm to those guards.

I loved the entire book and can’t wait to see what else happens in this series as Outlaw prepares to go get Liam from prison.

Highly recommended.

Review: I have read many books by Angelique and she always gives me an entertaining story. Mostly because the title is just as funny as the story she gives. Now most of her books have been man on man story, but this one has J in it. That was a major downfall for me. She didn’t really make the story better but to me a big disappointment.

So even though it is a good book that was my down point. To be honest I had to skip over the sex scenes when she was involved.

The whole story is a bit different from the others that she has written, with this one involving outer space. Brale and Dyos are mates and they are not exactly on the right side of the law most of the time. Their families pretty much hate each other or I should say their races. So off they go to grab something for a wealthy client. What they got was a big surprise.

J is human and what they call a rare breeder. She has a feisty attitude and is kind of quirky to me. The guys want her big time, but to acquire her might be more than they bargained for.

The guys come off as a bit strange to me. They are extremely hot together though. The whole book itself is full of heat and the sex is downright hot. Now if you can get past the female in the story, the book is damn good. A little on the odd side though. Now to stop all my bitching about the female, the story itself is fantastic. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It gave me almost everything I could want in a story.

I would recommend reading it.

Review: Cute story about a doctor who is asked to do an in-home therapy session for one of his hot patients. Unfortunate, the hot patient thinks the good doctor is straight.

I found it funny when Landon kept hinting that he wanted Zack, but Zack seemed unsure if he flirting or not. The subtle hints were obvious to me. Though I did understand Zack’s concern for getting involved with a patient and ruining his career I was glad when they finally got together near the end.

I enjoyed this story and wished it had been longer. There was some drama, hot sex and two sexy males thrown into the mix to make a good read.

Review: I must admit I had a lot of trouble with this story. I was continuously struggling trying to figure out what certain terms meant not to mention a few things about Leviss and his so-called psychic voice. Why would Leviss take an assignment to be the bodyguard of an ambassador when he did not like them due to his ex? It made absolutely no sense to me.

The voice or visions were annoying a little as they happened frequently at the beginning. Najee annoyed me when he seemed to know things before Levissa and never told him. The sex was hot.

While I love science fiction stories this one had me scratching my head as to what was happening. I think it would have been better if there had been more details and the story was longer. As it was, it seemed like it was written without the much-needed details that would help the reader understand things more clearly.
