Blurb: Wyatt Klaegar was tired of trying to keep the peace between his friends’ constant bickering and childish antics. The older he got, the less he found humor in their jokes, wishing they would just take life more seriously.

Basil Riddick had little joy in his life while growing up, yet he still managed to find a way to laugh. From the time he was little, he was pushed by his parents into being the best, including graduating at the age of eighteen with a medical degree. When he finally got away from his domineering parents, Basil swore to have as much fun as possible. Too bad when he found his mate, the man wouldn’t know fun if it had hit him in the head.

As the saying goes, opposites attract, and Wyatt was pretty sure Basil was his complete opposite when it came to being mature. But Basil was determined to show Wyatt how to lighten up and laugh.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. This series also coincides with events happening in the Paranormal Wars: Stone Haven series.

Basil is bored, so when offered the chance to move to the Latin Territory to be the Alpha and inner circles doctor he jumps at the chance. When he gets there he meets his mate Wyatt.

Wyatt is termed as the big brother to his team, as he is a year older than all of them. Also he was the oldest of six siblings and was charged with helping to take care of them when he was younger. Now he is constantly having to mediate between his team members.

Really everything boils down to Wyatt being a stuck in the mad and Basil liking to have fun and laugh. Their two points of view do conflict through a good part of the book. Wyatt wants Basil to be more mature. While Basil wants Wyatt to have more fun and laugh more.

I loved Basil and understood his desire to enjoy life to the fullest. He is able to not only help Wyatt but also the whole team. Wyatt was a bit of a douche for part of the book. But I could also see where he was coming from. The stress the team has been under since they landed in the Latin Territory has been high. Luckily Basil came to the rescue and helped them all out.

I enjoyed this book. There were a good amount of light scenes to balance out the serious ones. The sex was pretty damn hot too. These two are perfect for each other in that regard definitely.

This was a good solid addition to the world the author has created.

Review: This was a wacky, crazy, and pretty damn good read. I have never read a book where each chapter is by a different author. But I must say they did a great job.

Quad is changed into a wolf shifter and abandoned by his maker. Now months later Quad is driving in his new car when it decides to die outside a little town called Trinity Valley. From there things just get weirder and weirder.

Gypsy is not human himself and is able to explain to Quad a little about shifters. But Gypsy has been hurt by shifters before and has a pretty big issue with them. But that doesn’t stop these two from mixing it up both in and out of bed. The chemistry is there from the start even when they don’t seem to like each other much.

For a book written by twenty-five different authors, there was a good flow in the story. It was fast paced and gave the needed information without dragging down the story with too much. The sex was steamy and very hot. The main characters were easy to like and personable.

A lot happens in a very short amount of time. There was tons of twist and turns going on throughout as Quad and Gypsy try to figure out what the hell is going on. There was some wicked planning going on by the bad guys.

This was a well written story by some of my favorite authors. It was entertaining, humorous, sexy, and wicked fun to read.

Carver had let his mate down and he somehow had to prove to Rune he could trust Carver. Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. This series also coincides with events happening in the Paranormal Wars: Stone Haven series.

Rune is tortured by a mad man. The after effects leave him believing he is worthless, just like his parents told him he was. This leads him lash out at his mate and friends in his anger. Finally something knocks the sense into him and he realizes he needs Carver and the love he offers.

Carver loves his mate Rune just the way he is, scares, a little extra padding, and all. Carver sees the man Rune is and wants to help him accept what has happened and move past it. Things are not easy in the beginning, but Carver keeps trying and finally breaks through to Rune.

I must say these two are smoking hot together. The sex between is perfectly dirty and sexy. Even at the worst times, this two can get a little distracted by each other. Which does lead to some funny ribbing from their friends.

Both Rune and Carver had a hard time in this book. Both go through some very harrowing experiences that leave both of their lives on the line. It leaves the other mate feeling helpless at times. But throughout it all they realize they love and need it other.

The former cadre is definitely up to no good. At least most of them. There may be hope for a few who are not corrupt. It will be interesting to see where this storyline goes and what the corrupt members will try next.

I did enjoy the book on the whole. But it did not grab and keep my attention throughout. I found it easy to stop reading and focus on something else. I am not sure what it was missing, but something was I think. I liked the main characters and the secondary characters. I liked the relationship between Rune and Carver. I just was looking for something and didn’t find it.

Overall I good book that was just missing a little something to make it better. It does keep the suspense going into what will happen next and I look forward to the next book in this creative world.

Blurb: Gibson Martin has always loved two things, to cook and to sing. One of them he excels at, the other, well, his motto is if you don’t like it, leave. When he meets Alpha Talon Ramirez, who happens to be his mate, he’s overjoyed the man doesn’t grumble about his voice, which others compare to an animal dying.

Talon Ramirez thinks his mate’s off-key singing is adorable. He especially likes the way Gibson loses himself to the music while shaking his ass and singing his heart out while cooking the best food Talon has ever tasted. Now he just needs to find a way to keep his mate safe while the rebels plan an attack against Juarez that will devastate the city.

Will they be able to overcome the danger in store for them? Will Gibson’s singing get any better? Or will Talon’s men need to buy earplugs?

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. Also is a spin-off from the Stone Haven series with recurring characters.

Gibson is great. He is a chef taught from a young age how to cook by his father. When he needs a new job because his former boss couldn’t take no for an answer, he takes on the job as the new chef or the Alpha of the Latin Territory. As soon as he steps in the door of the Alpha’s home, the fun starts as Alpha Talon turns out to be his mate.

Talon has been living with guilt since he had to kill his own brother as a traitor to the Alliance. When his new chef shows up, he finally has something good in his life, even if he doesn’t think he deserves Gibson at first. But things are not easy for this mating or for the current situation with enemies trying to take Talon and his new mate out of the picture. It doesn’t help matters when Talon can’t control his own aggression and jealously about anyone getting close to Gibson.

I loved Gibson. He may be a ferret, but he doesn’t let people push him around including his mate Talon. I really loved his way of cooking. The visual of Gibson dressed is only boy shorts dancing and singing at the top of his lungs was the best. Gibson knows he can’t sign worth a damn, but he just doesn’t care. I love it.

Talon on the other pissed me off more times than not. He let his need to protect Gibson get in the way of things. Plus his jealousy caused Gibson a lot of pain, and gave him reason to doubt Talon. So I had a real love hate reaction to Talon. With all the other action going on with the treats from their enemies, Talon just added a lot of angst that turned me off of him many times. Although finally he did get his act together, but still it was a little annoying.

So… I loved the book, I loved Gibson, I loved the supporting cast, and I loved that the villains got their just desserts. But Talon really did ruin it for me times and I took half a point off for that. Still, looking forward to reading more future books in this series.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. Also is a spin-off from the Stone Haven series.

Forest has an issue with people trying to control him. When he learns Blade, a very dominant panther is his mate Forest attempts to run. Only to be chased down by Blade. Blade on the other hand is confused as to why he needs and wants Forest so much and Forest refuses to reveal that they are mates. When Forest is nearly killed by the criminal they are hunting, Blade decides it’s time to train Forest like a true member of the team.

During training Blade doesn’t give Forest praise, only criticism. In Forest’s eyes, this makes him believe he is never good enough for Blade, not realizing Blade keeps pushing because he cares. Blade has never allowed himself to be close to people, even his teams who are his best friends are kept on the outside to a degree. His parents did a real number on him as a kid, and his friends are only here because they have been since preschool. So there is a rocky road for the two of them in their mating.

I liked Forest. He was snarky and funny. But also, he was impulsive. He would do and say things sometimes without fully thinking it through, which got his butt in trouble. Blade had to learn to be open emotionally for Forest in order for the mating to work and be happy. In between, the hot sex the two needed to learn how to actually be a mated pair and be what the other needed.

The story was well written and moved fast. The MCs are likable and the sex is hot. I enjoy the world the author has created. It has unique elements in the paranormal genre. Also, each book has its own mating, but they all fit into a larger scale storyline that is very interesting. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

Caleb knows that creating the were creatures is wrong. But he has no choice if he wants to keep his adopted shifter family safe. He hates what he is doing but until the Alliance can locate and save his family, he has no choice. Even knowing Wolfe is his mate, Caleb needed to continue with the psy. The only contact they have with each other is in their dreams where they start to fall in love with each other.

Wolfe is damaged from the time he spent among the human/psy labs. He never dealt with his issues and instead would just jump into wars all over the world. With Caleb as his mate, not only a psy but also a doctor Wolf has a lot to come to terms with. I can see his issues and understand the angst he goes through, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t want to smack him upside the head a few times.

Caleb and Wolfe do not have the best mating in the start and it was mostly due to Wolfe’s emotional issues. Wolfe does not deal with who and what Caleb is very well. In the process, he hurts Caleb emotional and almost loses him.

I liked this book because they did not have a perfect instant loving mating. There were real issues that needed to be handled by both. They did love each other but especially Wolfe needed to face up to the fact that he needed to open up and let Caleb truly in.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

I loved Zeke. He has been beaten down all his life and is scared. But he is also smart. When his stepbrother, who is hiding from the Alliance, takes over his apartment, he is living in hell. When Zeke gets the chance to contact the Alliance, he does it to get help. After receiving a beating that leaves him on the verge of death, he meets his mate Rangi another predatory. Instead of walking away in fear, he instead allows himself to trust that Rangi will not hurt him as his stepfather did to his mother.

Rangi is amazed he has found his mate in Zeke. He wants to protect him and assure him that he will never hurt Zeke. He thinks Zeke is adorable. He gives no thought to the fact that Zeke is a mouse. In fact, he tells Zeke that he is not his eagle, and that the shifter does not make the man. When it looks like the Alpha is going to railroad Zeke as a traitor to the Alliance, Rangi is willing to take him on to protect Zeke. He treats Zeke at all time as the precious gift he is. I loved the relationship between Zeke and Rangi. They are so cute together once Rangi convinces Zeke to trust him. Rangi never doubts Zeke and fights when he is accused of being a traitor.

This was a great addition to the series. The writing was very fast paced and the secrets about what has been going on are being revealed in each book. There is a complex level of betrayal going on in the Alliance and I like that this book reveals another piece of the puzzle.

The MCs have their own love story, but also have a part in finding out the mysteries going on. Characters from other books make regular appearances and keep their sometimes quirky personalities. Each book fits into the cohesiveness of the series and adds its own unique twist.

I enjoy the world the author has created and look forward to more.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

Dasan is a forty-year-old water mystic. He runs the Alliance garage with his father. When one of their employees starts relating blanking out on time, Dasan takes him to the doctors. While there, he meets his mate Jalin, an original member of the Cadre. After learning what is really happening with the employee, everyone rushes back to the garage only to have it exploded and kill everyone inside. What should have been the happiest day meeting his mate, turns into grief for Dasan as he loses his father.

Jalin does all he can for his mate Dasan. However, Dasan becomes so wrapped up in guilt and grief he starts to only focus and rebuilding the garage. After a while, Jalin feels abandoned and alone in the mating. The story shows both MCs points of view, and it was easy to at things from both of them and understands it to a degree. Neither MC is perfect and they both have their issues, but the main one was that neither took the time to talk to each other.

I liked this story. It was more emotional and heart-warming in a way. The was plenty of sex and it was hot, but that was not the problem for them. Dasan let everything else take the front seat instead of his mate Jalin. It wasn’t until it was almost too late that he got his ass in gear and did what he should have done from the start. Dasan forgot for a while that his mate should be the most important thing in his life. Jalin taking off was the best thing he could have done. It forced Dasan to reevaluate things and own up to what he was doing to their mating.

As for the storyline arc for the series, it showed the Alliance that they were not as safe as they thought and that the psy will do anything to win the war. It will be interesting to see what happens next and I look forward to more books in the future.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
Ian grows up taking care of his sister after their mother died. Their father became a drunk and really gave a thought to them. Until Ian’s sister get closer to eighteen. Then the father starting paying attention, and not in a good way. Finally, his father decides to sell Ian to the psy to get him out of the way. For over a year, Ian has lived a nightmare. The only thing that kept him sane was the need to get back to his sister and another prisoner.

Maui is a fire mystic. He was saved from the human labs by the Alpha two hundred years ago and has stood by the Alpha’s side since then. Maui meets his mate Ian when he goes on the mission to destroy one of the psy labs. They have their issues at the start, but do finally get things worked out. Until Maui denies Ian, help to get his sister away from his father. Ian, with the help of a couple other mates, goes to get her and while his sister is saved Ian is captured by the psy again.

Even after Ian is changed, he adjusts fast to his new circumstances with the help of his mate Maui and his sister. Maui is so happy to have a mate, but when things go wrong he blames himself for not helping Ian when he asked for it. Maui was only thought was about protecting Ian and not taking his feeling into consideration. That backfired on Maui, so when he gets Ian back he does all he can to make it up to Ian and show him how much he matters and is loved just the way he is.

I loved Ian, he is just so quirky and adorable. His gives people gifts that are unusual but make perfect sense when thought about. His logic about it is right on he just adds his own unique twist to it. But he is also brave and fights for what he believes is right. Mauri makes the perfect mate for Ian. Mauri protects Ian as much as he can. Even from getting hurt feeling when others don’t like his gifts. He also will protect Ian from running into danger before he thinks about it.

This was another good addition to the series. For me it was all about Ian, I just love his character.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
Adam was one of the first paranormals born 300 years ago. During his time, he has become a medical doctor and a veterinarian. He also helped the Alpha free paranormals from the humans. After the events in the book, prior Adam has been charged with figuring out if the new paranormals created by the psy can be saved. What Adam doesn’t expect is that the one surviving changed human captured would be his mate.

Jason was sold to the psy by his father after he admitted he was gay. He was mentally and physically raped by the psy for two years before they decided to change him into a bear shifter. Then the psy sent him into battle against the Alliance and he almost was killed. When he wakes up he is in an Alliance base and he meets Adam. Jason is afraid at first but his bear is determined to get his mate.

Jason has trust issues after everything that happened to him, but because of the mate bond, he is able to overcome pretty fast. That is a usual quirk in paranormal books along with the instant love. Even with that, Jason and Adam are well written MCs. The sex scenes were descriptive and well done. The secondary characters are interesting and bring humor at times. The writing is fast paced and it ties nicely into the book prior and continues the details of the new war the psy has started.

I liked the book, but I was not as drawn to Jason and Adam was I was on the first book in the series. I am not really sure why. Something was just missing for me. However, this is still a well-done addition to the series.

This book has a unique take on the paranormal world. They were created by the Gods to save the earth from being destroyed by the humans. However, humans imprisoned the shifters and mystics when they showed their gifts at birth.

The psy were able to hide, but they developed a jealously over the fact that the other paranormals seemed to have immortality and were stronger. Now the psy are trying to wipe out the shifter and mystics and take control of the human race. Each book has a main couple that finds their chance at love and happiness. But there is the overall story arc of the war going on between the paranormals.

Aleski is the Alpha Primus, the leader of the Shifter – Mystic Alliance. He led the fight to free paranormals from humans and he now leads the war against the psy who are jealous of their immortality. He has been alone a long time and is so happy to find his mate in Seth, even if he is a psy. He will do anything to protect him from both the psy and his own people. He is the big bad Alpha. But Seth brings out the gentleness in him. Seth has seen the worst the psy has to offer. He was used as an experiment by his own parents to gain more power.

He runs from them after they try to force him to kill a young wolf shifter. Seth has run to the one man he thinks can help him, Aleski. Little did he know he would find the one man who would be able to give him safety and love for the first time in his life.

Together Alek and Seth burn up the pages. Their sex scenes are hot and leave nothing to the imagination. Alek is strong and powerful and uses that to protect Seth. But he is also gentle and loving to Seth. Seth is a spunky package that has no problem arguing with Alek. He keeps Alek on his toes and will not sit in the background. I loved him right away in the opening of the book. The interaction between them is a times tender and sweet, hot and steamy, or laugh out loud hilarious.

This story drew me in. This was well written with very good imagery. It gives the history of the paranormal race and the MCs without being overdone. The secondary characters are interesting and made me want to learn more about them in their own books.

This book is a very good first entry in the series.
