Blurb: Hot summer rain. That was the scent that drew me. The soulful amber-green eyes that begged to be loved kept me. One look and I knew I wanted Lany Harris to be mine. Convincing him of my good intentions might prove to be harder than trying to convince my superiors that someone was out to get us.

I was obviously insane.

Cinnamon and whiskey had a delicious scent and it was S.W.A.T. commander, Lt. Salvador Delvecchio. I wanted to roll in that scent, sink into it, and never come out. I wanted to be consumed by everything that was the lethal man who had rescued me and decided I belonged to him.

I was a hot mess.

Review: As many know, that when a book written by this author comes out it is usually a big hit. She is one of my top five favorite authors of both paranormal and contemporary. Although I am not one for books that are singles, so I do hope that this one at least gives us a second story to look at where they go from now.

It is a fascinating story about a young man who has been protected his whole life by his family. Although with Lany I can actually understand most of what his family did. The title of this story is about right on with Lany. The man had twelve cars and most of them he totalled one way or another, even hitting an elephant once. Don’t ask, you really have to read it. So when he meets one hell of a sexy man he is shocked to find out that the man wants him permanently. His uncle won’t be happy.

Salvador is a Lt. for the S.W.A.T. team and has gone head to head with Lany’s uncle more than once. The man was in charge of all of them, however when it comes to Lany, Sal will win. Now with this story there is a lot of action, probably too much for one story. I didn’t much care for the ending nor did I like the villain in this mess. It just didn’t seem right; however crushes will do some crazy things.

I had a blast reading this and look forward to the next story by Stormy. If she puts a book out then I will normally be there standing in line to get it. It has a lot of action, steamy sex, tender looks and some quirky messes.

This is one story I can see reading more than once. I would definitely recommend it.

Reviewer: Shorty

Review: Grey Talon, a Comanche shapeshifter and Trey, an orphaned Shaman who was taken in by the tribe are lovers. They are sent on a mission to find a dragon’s daughter.

I liked the combination of different genres in the story as it added a unique element to it. The Wild West theme fit the story as the two men journeyed. One of the things I found fascinating is Grey’s ability to turn into any animal he has seen. I love that as I don’t think I have read that before.

Trey’s Shaman abilities were interesting. There were a few characters introduced throughout that added more to the story rather than a book about two men which I liked.

While I liked the story I was a little confused by certain things that I felt would have benefitted from more details and other things with less. But overall it was a good read.

Blurb: Michael Cook has left his abusive lover and settled in the small town of Banning, Illinois. Having nowhere else to go, he checks into the Raven’s Rest Inn and soon learns that the haunted reputation of the hotel is well deserved. Michael gets a job at a local café, where he meets Trey Ramsey. Though Michael has misgivings about starting up a new relationship, Trey seems to be the complete opposite of Michael’s controlling ex, so he decides to give Trey a chance.

Life at the Raven’s Rest becomes increasingly frightening when the ghost of Coleman Hollis appears in Michael’s room. Coleman seems to want something from Michael, and the mystery deepens when Michael discovers he’s the spitting image of Coleman’s lover from years ago. Together, Michael and Trey must discover why Coleman’s spirit is drawn to the Raven’s Rest—and to Michael.

Review: After five years Michael has left his psychologically abusive lover and is hiding out in a small town. Staying at the local Inn, Raven’s Rest, he’s told the story of its ghosts and becomes fascinated by one of them especially when he sees the ghost of that past resident, Coleman, a young man who disappeared many years before. Michael decides to stay in town and stumbles across a job in a small café as well as Trey, a laid back guy who sparks Michael’s interest.

Michael and Trey begin to look into Coleman’s story after an altercation with the ghost and they discover a sad story of young love torn apart and destroyed. While getting to the bottom of the mystery of the ghost Michael still has to deal with his ex when Kevin comes hunting for him.

This is brilliant story where a man running from his ex-lover stumbles across a ghost story that leads to a decades old mystery. Michael has suffered from mental abuse from the man who was supposed to love him for years, Michael’s finally found the courage to leave him but he knows Kevin will follow him so he heads for a small town. It’s the beginning of a ghostly adventure of mystery and murder, and discovering new love.

I really enjoyed this story, it flowed really well and Michael and Trey connected from the instant they met, their romance moves quickly but fits them perfectly. The mystery part of the story was excellent, with Michael determined to get to the truth and discover just what happened to Coleman. It’s a terrible tale of bigotry and murder.

Both Michael and Trey are excellent characters and there are also one or two other jewels floating through the story like Jesenia (who wears a badge labelled ‘The Town Witch’) and Gloria Ramsey (Trey’s mother), they both add to the story and bring some lightness to the story as well. I also liked the fact that Michael got some closure with Kevin as well, there is a confrontation where Kevin loses it but he does finally accept that his actions drove Michael away and hopefully he’ll learn a lesson from losing Michael.

I recommend this to those who love ghost mysteries, finding peace with yourself, discovering new love, dodging danger and an excellent ending.

Review: I absolutely adore Andrew Grey’s Senses series. This series can be read as standalone or in order. It’s just that some of the couples we encounter throughout have already had their own fantastic story. This series is about men who have lost/ or had a major injury that weakens one of their senses. Some of the characters being artists are a bit of a recurring theme, but all in all, these are intense stories that are really nice and sweet. Love Comes to Light is no exception to any of this praise and is a fantastic addition to the series.

Here, we meet artist Arik, who has a major injury to his hand which means that he has lost his ability to paint and produce the beautiful pieces of art he had started to build a reputation for. Before the injury he had entered a piece into a contest for famous artist Ken Brighton whose story is actually book 1 of the series. Now Ken wants to collaborate with him and despite knowing he would be sent one soon after making the drive from Michigan to Pleasanton and Ken saw that he could no longer paint.

Lucky for us, Ken is ready to pick up the mantel of mentor to give Arik a chance to rediscover himself. (If you want to have a good cry and have a HEA you should really go back to Love Comes Silently if you haven’t already.) Arik has his reasons for being jumpy, especially around big men like Reg, but from the start these guys are just wonderful. Reg is a gentle giant and more than ready to show Arik that he doesn’t need to be scared and that Ken is right, Arik can still be an artist. In the end, it’s all up to Arik, can he take a risk to start over a new life in a new town, with a new man?

Everything about the story and the narration is wonderful. The narration by Greg Tremblay really lends to the heartfelt plotline of the story. If you love the Senses series – or if you like your men brimming with inner strength, this story is all heart. In fact, I’d love to go back through this series in audio, although I have read through the series 3 times so far.

Review: Inspector Locke is transferred to Waterford after being disgraced. Inspector Blade is not happy that he is partnered with Locke and assumes the things he’s heard is true.

To me this story is about two men who fight the attraction they have for one another and who should have gotten to know each other before believing rumors about the other. I liked that they worked together despite their misgivings at the beginning, as everyone deserves to be heard and justice to be served.

There is an interesting and fascinating paranormal aspect to a story that was already interesting because of the main characters. I loved all the different paranormals introduced and am looking forward to reading more.

With the help of a friend, he acquires a lease in a seedy apartment building perched high on a hill in downtown San Diego. At the Arms, Barney finds friendship, acceptance, and an adopted family that lightens his lonely life. Hell, he even finds a cat. But still true love eludes him.

When his drag queen landlord, Arthur, takes it into his head to rescue a homeless former tenant, he enlists Barney’s help. It is Barney who shows this lost soul how to trust again—and in return Barney discovers love for the first time in his life.

It’s funny how even the hardest battles can be fought and won with laughter, hugs, friends, plus a little faith in the goodness of others. All it takes to begin the healing is the simple act of coming back.

Review: Each book in The Belladonna Arms collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I wished that there was an apartment complex like this one with people just like the ones that live at the Belladonna Arms. I love the world that this author created almost as much as I love the characters that are in it. I love how even the story has some sadness and a touch of pain; it also has a lot of humor stashed in it. I laughed so hard through some parts that I was waving my arms around and bouncing. It is a good thing no one was looking in the mirror.

John became a favorite author of mine when the first book in this series came out. I never even really thought that I would find a male author could do that. I have always focus on the quirky funny books that many authors write, but when I came across John’s stories I knew he was going to be one of my favorites with the way he spins a tale. My attention was caught from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end, so much that as soon as I finish writing this I am going to go start on the next book in this series.

Barney’s apartment was going condo, and he was strapped for money as it was. So when a friend told him that he could get him an apartment he jumped at it. There is something very magical about the Belladonna Arms and the people that live there. When Arthur, his landlord, wants him to help him find a friend that was in need, Barney agreed to help; he had not expected that friend to be a very sexy young man whose heart had been badly broken.

Ramon and Chichi had been known at the Belladonna Arms as a young couple deeply in love. However there was a darkness instead. When Chichi died, so did Ramon in away. He ran and lived on the streets thinking it was what he deserved, thank god Arthur had it in his head he was going to bring the young man home. Arthur is the fairy godmother in this tale that is for sure.

I loved the subplot with Sylvia and Pete as well. They can definitely hold onto a secret. I felt so bad for what Ramon had gone through before. Then I felt like laughing my ass off at how everyone else felt when Ramon cut their hair. Let’s just say you need to read it to find out. This is probably my favorite out of the whole series and I absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to get to reading the next book. John made another winning story for his readers.

Review: Each book in the Supernatural Consultant collection features our sexy men and a bunch of kits. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved.

I love the way this author can put together a book that not only fascinates you but draws you in. I had a blast reading this and look forward to reading more by this amazing author. My attention was caught with the first sentence and I just couldn’t put the book down. This is one of those types that even after you have read the whole book you just want to go back and read it again.

I didn’t really like the five year jump from the first book to this book. If they are so worried about dragon’s being abducted then the five year jump makes what they are doing a waste. I really wished the author had thought of that part of this book though.

Mercury and Dane are settling in nicely with their family and the kits are growing up pretty fast. Although Lumie and Alloy still act the same pretty much. Mercury is now working or the FBI in the supernatural division and is actually liking it quite a bit. He is about to do his first mission with a partner.

His mission is to find out who was copycatting what he had started many years before, and Dane’s new case is of a missing dragon family. Attacked by those very human’s that Mercury was trying to stop. This is a very unique series I got to say that.

I love how it has that serious tone to it but there is so much humor in it that your attention is captivated throughout it all. I loved the cover and that was what caught my attention first. Although to be honest any book that Mell writes will be an automatic bye for me. I just can’t seem to get enough of this series.

There is something about the way that Mell writes that will more than likely have you laughing your ass off at parts of it, especially if it involves Lumie and Alloy. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story.

This story is perfect for when you are trying to take a break or when you just need the sun to shine for you. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me everything I could want in a book.

I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series. One that I will have to read over and over. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. It was the perfect story for me and I loved it. I can’t wait to read the next story.

As Andy and Weston work together, they find a connection to a scandal that rocked the Chaffee family over 125 years ago. Review: In finding out more about his biological father, Andy Forest travels to a quaint little town in Massachusetts where the townsfolk’s are not quite what they seem. Unfriendly and downright hateful at times this town definitely wants its secrets to remain hidden forever.

As with most secrets eventually things will come out. Upon meeting Weston they both dive into the history of the town and discover two mysterious deaths at a factory in the eighteen hundreds that seem linked to Andy’s father’s death as well as his mothers.

I really liked this story. It had all the right elements to make for a great murder mystery except for the occasional repetitive nature from time to time. The townspeople were hostile but all things considered I understood to a point. Andy and Weston worked well together to uncover the truth about past events and why.

All in all it was an enjoyable read.

His best friend Sammy Collins helps him get through school and unlocks his potential. As Jacko and Sammy start a family and challenge social mores, Jacko enters politics, horrified at the direction Australian government is taking. He’s a middle-aged, newly single, gay photographer starting life over. Along comes a freshly out nineteen-year-old, irreverent free spirit who wants to be his apprentice. Mismatched by more than a generation, what could possibly go wrong? Everything! And it’s AWESOME!

A “Muse” ing: Most authors struggle with the voices or “muses” in their head when writing. Tuning that voice out becomes a little more challenging when your muse is a real-life nineteen-year-old who inhales espresso and turns out ideas at light speed. Danger Will Robinson!

Daddy and The Rent Boy: In selling something, advertising is half the battle. That can become hazardous when you’re in the company of an irreverent walking billboard.

Blurb: The Witness Protection Program dumps JD Smith practically at the ends of the earth—in Two Pines, Alaska—to protect him until he can testify against a dangerous gang. He tries to stick to his story and keep his head down, but it’s impossible to ignore bush pilot Jake Wylder, a sexy loner with quite a reputation around the small town.

Flying medical supplies around Alaska suits Jake’s wild streak and love of freedom. He’s perfectly content to keep his romantic encounters casual—at least until he meets JD. Something about the nurse makes Jake think settling down might not be such a hardship. Now he just needs to convince JD he’s serious—which won’t be easy, given his past.

For a relationship to stand a chance, JD must testify so he can return to Two Pines as the man he really is—and Jake must grow into the man JD needs him to be.

Review: Lucie Archer is a new author for me so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. I have never really been a fan of new authors works but only because I have a certain type of book that I like. When I read the blurb it sounded so good and a bit mysterious to me. I have to admit that when I saw Witness Protection Program I was kind of hoping for love, bad guys and danger. However it doesn’t even come close to the bad guys and danger.

JD Smith is a nurse in Alaska, but in real life he is actually a doctor. A doctor who worked for some pretty bad guys and got caught in a raid. Now he was to spend most of his time in Alaska till the trial. He had not expected to come across a very sexy Jake, nor did he have a clue what to do.

Jake was pretty much a man slut and had slept with both men and women. He had never found that one person to make him want something permanent. That is until he came across JD. Too bad JD is hiding something big from them all.

Now it is a very cute story but it comes off very stiff, dry and didn’t flow as easy as it should have for me. There was just something missing to make it a great story but not too sure what it was. I read most of it but did skim over parts of it, because the pace of the story was just too slow to keep my interest for long. I was hoping for more action, suspense and danger, however it wasn’t there. I am afraid that this story was just not for me.
