Blurb: After centuries of traveling the continent of Kita and fighting the extradimensional monsters known as Riftspawn, mage Lyuc is tired and ready to back away from the concerns of humanity.

But the world isn’t done with him yet.

While traveling with a merchant caravan, Lyuc encounters Yan, an Unnamed, the lowest caste in society. Though Yan has nothing but his determination and spirit, he reminds Lyuc what passion and desire feel like. While wild magic, a snarky, shapeshifting, genderfluid companion, and the plots of men and monsters seem determined to keep Lyuc from laying down his burden, only Yan’s inimitable spirit tempts him to hang on for another lifetime or so.

All Yan wants is to earn the sponsorship of a guild so he can rise above his station, claim a place in society, and build the family he never had.

After hundreds of years of self-imposed penance, all Lyuc wants is Yan.

If they can survive prejudice, bandits, mercenaries, monsters, and nature itself, they might both get their wish… and maybe even their happily ever after..

Review: A wonderful beginning for a series. Lyuc and his trusty friend Bryn have been traveling the lands doing away with the riftspawn that break through into the human world. While traveling with merchants he meets Yan, an unnamed and the lowest in caste society.

From the moment these two met it seemed the world realigned around them. The moments between these two were sweet and tender yet passionate. I loved them both as the story progressed.

The overall feeling of the story is magical and opening. I adored the everything about it. I loved how not all is explained in this story. That tells me there will be much more to come with Lyuc, Bryn and Yan. I am looking forward to discovering more about Lyuc and the mystery withing the book.

Great read.

Review: Great story about the differences between populations, mystery and romance. I loved both Daveth and Jory. They both fascinated for different reasons. Daveth’s determination to do better for himself inspired me. Jory’s a mystery that had me from the start. I enjoyed reading about him immensely.

While they are getting to know one another they are both caught up in a mystery that they desperately try to understand. While some of the story had me scratching my head it fit with the overall setting. Nothing is as it seems and trust is something both men need if they are to survive.

Twists and turns are around every corner in this fascinating tale. I truly loved the dynamics as Jory and Daveth fought to keep ahead of the surprises that awaited them. Great cast of characters that added to an already good story.

Great read.

Blurb: Corentin is a scholar with a secret—his magical Talent allows him to turn into a dragon, and he isn’t alone in that ability. Long ago, dragons were hunted fiercely, until they went into hiding, becoming things of legend. Corentin has traveled the world with one aim—to protect his people and keep their secret safe. Drawn to the principality of Tournai by news of someone close to discovering that secret, he hopes to avert suspicion. His attraction to the too-serious Bastien isn’t convenient for his purpose, but it isn’t something he can ignore either.

Lord Bastien, Earl of Ardesia, inherited his title unexpectedly when his parents were killed in a sailing accident along with the parents of his cousin, Prince Philip. Since then, Bastien has devoted his life to the obligations of his family and estate—so much so, that it has caused tension between him and his siblings. His world is further shaken when he receives an anonymous letter informing him that the tragic boating accident may, in fact, have been murder. Bastien throws himself into investigating whether the allegations are true and finding out who killed his parents.

As Corentin and Bastien become closer, the mystery of Bastien’s parents’ death draws him further into danger. Corentin feels compelled to protect Bastien, but the threat is closer than they know. Now, Corentin must decide whether preserving his secret—and potentially his people’s safety—is more important than saving the man he loves.

Review: You could read this book as a stand alone however, some characters from the other books make an appearance in this one as well. This story is about growing into ones self. Learning to traverse life and become the best person you can be.

Lord Bastien will go to any lengths to protect family, land, business and those he loves or considers friends. I loved how nice he was too. Despite a personal tragedy he does the best he can do and when he needs help he asks for it.

There was a wide variety of characters throughout this book, too many to name, that added to the overall delivery of the story. I do not want to give away events or situations that take place so I’ll just say it was a good addition to the series.

Great read.

Review: The final book in an epic series is always sad to read knowing it is the last. But, The prince’ story will be told in the future so that is major plus. I have loved this series from the start. Sam has grown with each story. The epic adventures and battles throughout were amazing. This story is no exception.

Sam has been gone for a year with the white dragon learning everything he needs to know to defeat Myrin. When he comes back he learns everything has changed. The king has been imprisoned everyone he knew is in hiding and battling the Darks. The reunion between Sam, Tiggy, Gary, The Prince and Ryan is bittersweet and not without a lot of different emotions.

The time has come to put a stop to Myrin and his evil deeds for good. With the help of Sam’s merry band and dragons he will face a battle to the death and in doing so may lose himself to the dark side. I only have one word to describe this story Epic! Intense, humorous and dramatic this story had it all. I loved everything about it. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was the last in the series.

Fantastic ending to an epic series.

Highly recommended.

Liberation from one master might mean enslavement to another.

For centuries, the Kuro swan shifters have been the unwilling servants of the Dryma faeries. That changed when Prince Tristan of the Dryma attempted to sacrifice himself for Royal Kuro Kanji—his lover and mate.

The Sidhee, seeing Tristan’s actions to free the swans as a betrayal, launch a devastating attack that leaves most of the Kuro and Dryma dead or imprisoned. The fate of the swans rests entirely on Kanji’s shoulders, and he must somehow devise a plan that will protect both his partner and his tribe as the war with the Sidhee rages. It won’t be easy for mortal enemies to become allies, and Kanji is beginning to despair of ever waking Tristan from his deathlike slumber. And neither the Kuro nor the Dryma can compete with the Sidhee when it comes to brutal violence.

When Kanji finds a small boy asleep at the bottom of a lake, his hope for reuniting with Tristan is rekindled. But what is the boy, and can his magic turn the tide against a seemingly unstoppable enemy?

Review: Veier has been a captive of a king for Five years. He’s been in his bear formed chained to a throne. He’s been forced to do some unsavoury things for the king. Then one day invaders come and even though he is ferocious and attacks one decides to show him mercy and take him home when they return.

Elrid is not afraid of Veier as he see’s him for who he really is. I loved the slow romance. The trust building between these two is not instant like in some books. It made sense that Veier would have a hard time trusting anyone after what he has been through.

The plot was wonderfully written with mystery and a dash of suspense thrown into the mix. I loved the story and enjoyed it very much.

Review: The continuation of the seasons rising series has Fay and Sam at Janus University. Things become abundantly clear that all is not as it seems and there are those have secrets upon secrets. Headmaster Didas is one such person. I did not trust him from the start and this book was the same feeling for me.

The secrets that come out in this sequel are jaw dropping to say the least. Fay does all he can to help when needed while learning how to use his own power not Winter’s. The end result is a young man whose purpose is to protect those he cares about.

The battle scenes at the end were fierce and strong. I loved that the other seasons were trying to help Fay, though Summer was opposed at first. A lot happens in this story. But I appreciated every word and explanation.

Fantastic read.

Review: An amazing story of a young man named Fay who has powers he has no clue as to how he got them. He has to keep them under wraps though as the others at his school would not understand. His best friend Sam is a take charge kind of girl with a kickass attitude. Together they are approached to attend trials at the prestigious magic school Janus University.

I loved the story. The magical aspects and the control it takes to do the spells was breathtaking. The battles were jaw dropping and intense. The only thing I wanted to know was what exactly happened to Fray when he became lost for a short time when he was five. Because that is when he gained his ice powers. It never went into details.

I felt at times that Fay brushed things off that he should have investigated further. Other than these two things I loved the story and am looking forward to more.

Great read.

Review: The next item that Grant and Ash are to retrieve in their time traveling punishment to replace artifacts that were destroyed due to their fighting is a book called the Malleus Maleficarum or The Hammer of the Witch. This single book sent hundreds of people to their deaths in the most horrifying ways.

This task will not be easy. It’s the middle ages and a time where all are suspicious of things that are different and quickly dealt with. This task ends up with Ash retrieving the book but Grant being captured. Now Ash has to save Grant, keep the book safe and get all back to their own time before their demise.

Hair raising and adventurous this story has a great history interwoven between the dialogue of the characters. the details were amazing and the characters intriguing.

A great addition to the series.

Review: One day Zacriah, an elf, is invited with may other elves to attend a feast at the king’s palace. What he does not expect is for all of them to be poisoned with a sleeping potion. However not all fall asleep. Those that do not are told of an enemy the Morthi, that are attacking villages and that the elves, they are shifters, are being called to arms for the king. This is where the prince Hadrian comes in.

I loved this story. It was magical, secretive and adventerous. Zacriah has a secret. When it comes time to shift he can not. He is taken to Prince Hadrian. Together they figure out some things are not as they seem and set out to find the truth while trying to keep each other and themselves alive.

A wonderful story with a great cast of characters. I found myself riveted to the story awaiting the outcome. The secret Zac and Hadrian have are awesome. The evilness that plagues the palace is scary with it’s intentions and deception.

Fantastic story that I am looking forward to reading more of.

Review: Martus is doing his best to get the help Elsaban needs for her magic since their parents died in a fire. One day a dragon, Hal, shows up and starts tearing up the town and eventually takes Elsaban away. El eventually returns and Martus sets out to kill the dragon.

Hal is a sweet boy who has no one to help him control his dragon. When he shifts he has no memory of it or the things he does. Due to Martus and a letter he writes, a group of people invade where Hal’s home is. Martus does try to protect his new friend.

I liked the idea of the story but the delivery was lacking as at times as it jumped from one thing to the next with no warning. Martus and Hal are both alone and I liked that despite the rocky start they became friends.

Unfortunately, the prince isn’t content with being alive, and he hunts Sebastian down to thank him personally. Not only is Sebastian stuck with the prince’s unwanted affections, he’s also confronted by growing evidence linking the assassination attempt to someone from his father’s past.

Lord Orwell is a lot of things: thief, liar, drunk, and all around horrible father, but Sebastian knows he’s no murderer. In order to prove it, Sebastian has to keep the prince alive long enough to discover the truth—a task made considerably harder because the idiot prince prefers wooing Sebastian over securing his own survival. On top of everything, Sebastian needs to save the day without revealing his magical powers and the real reason he hides his appearance.

Review: Sebastian keeps to himself and does not like being around others. His humor is funny to me. I found his snarkiness lovable. Prince Turrin has a way of trouble finding him in the form of assassination attempts on his life. This is how the two meet when Sebastian saves him.

The prince wants to get to know Sebastian better despite his standoffish vibes. He’s persistent an eventually wears Sebastian down. The two are hot together once they actually get together.

The mystery off the assassination attempts and who is behind and to what degree was fascinating and intriguing. I loved how the story flowed and ultimately ended up. Well written with degrees of romance, suspense, action, drama and hot sex all culminated in a story that had me on the edge of my seat.

Great read.

Review: This story takes place in superstition as Thaddeus starts another school year he meets another bully. There is tension when Thaddeus starts to mysteriously change. All points to Dillion yet a surprise is in store.

Drama and twists and turns are all throughout this addition the series. We are given a chance to meet some of the characters previously mentioned in the first three books. I have to say I was disappointed that this story lacked the adventure aspect but was still quite good.

I loved seeing all the characters and the new ones as more mysteries were revealed near the end. I would advise reading the books in order as each picks up where the previous one leaves off.

Great read.

When a new and vicious enemy reveals itself, Thaddeus and his group are thrust into a fight not only for their lives, but for the lives of the Iron Gulch residents. Review: Something strange is going on in Iron Gulch. As days turn into weeks the awful truth is slowly revealed. Thaddeus and his group are in a fight for their lives against ghouls, goblins, a mad witch, a dragon and the bearagon.

This story is mysterious and yet again secrets come out about Thaddeus’ family. I loved that despite the danger Thaddeus was determined to help the town as well as his mother. The group sadly loses a member along the way in a battle.

These books should be read in order as each picks up where the other leaves off.

Highly recommended read.

Review: This is a continuation from the first book. Thaddeus, Nathan, Miriam and her children set off on journey to find the dragon. The trek is fraught with danger at every turn. Nathan falls from an injury.

On way to the well of tears they meet a wood elf in trouble and save him. As repayment he takes them to the well. I loved this story. So many things happen to the group that I feared they would not make it. Isador shows up and causes chaos.

Outstanding plot and characters that drew me in and kept me on the edge of my seat. The details were amazing and I felt as though I was there with Thaddeus and the group. I can not wait to read the next book.

Highly recommended.

Thaddeus’s bedroom window gives him a view into the beautiful gardens next door. Every night after dark, an attractive guy around Thaddeus’s age appears to tend the plants. When Thaddeus visits his neighbor, he discovers not only how deep his interest in the other man runs, but also that Teofil, the midnight gardener, isn’t human. He’s a garden gnome, a revelation that will lead to more secrets coming to light and an adventure unlike anything Thaddeus ever imagined.

Review: Thaddeus is a young man who has spent a lot of his youth on the move with his father until they move to the town of superstition. Things are not as they seem from the start. Revelations reveal there is more going on that meets the eye and Thaddeus’ world opens up to things he thought were fairytales.

Teofil is Thaddeus’ neighbor and only comes out at night. I found Teofil to be sweet and caring in his devotion to Thaddeus. This story is fraught with adventure and danger as Thaddeus is introduced to the previously unknown. I loved this story even though it does end with a cliffhanger there is plenty of mystery to keep the reader engaged to find out the truth.

Well written and intriguing. Highly recommended.

Review: Laurence was a doctor in the war, till an injury took him out of it. Here he was left with not much to do. On the way to London, he is stranded when the train had to stop do to a heavy snowstorm. He finds himself at a cabin where a sexy stranger invited him in. Avery is a magical young man who has been punished for something that happened in the past. Only true love will fix it.

It is a very charming Christmas story. I am not a fan of historical romances so I am afraid that this wasn’t one of my favorite stories. Although for such a short story it has a lot of detail and meat to it. It is a very enjoyable read and the characters are quite sweet. It is a great read for the holidays.

I would recommend it.
