Blurb:All Evan Savage wanted was a quiet night at the bar, waiting for his boyfriend to finish his shift; what he gets instead is a nightmare. Things were complex enough when his biggest problem was the tangled sex life he and his brother Brennan share with twin lovers Alek and Luka. When a selfless act ending in terrible violence lands Evan in the hospital, Brennan and Evan’s father returns to loom over their lives, asking questions none of the four want to answer.

The young men’s relationships to each other begin to unravel as carefully drawn boundary lines are blurred and crossed. The four must question the nature of their commitments to each other, what they each want, and what to say to those relentlessly demanding the truth. When the most dangerous thing you can do is admit to who you love, and jealousy is a luxury you can no longer afford, brutal honesty is the only remaining key to salvation…

…or damnation.

Review: This story is part two of a series and I recommend reading them in order. Alex, Luka, Brennan and Evan’s lives are complicate to say the least. They are all in love, which is not the complicated part. It’s the fact that Alex and Luka are identical twins as is Brennan and Evan. Each man has had a lot of pain in the paths, pain that they need to heal in order to go forward. They try to keep each other grounded, but it is hard the way people react to them. The look they get because they are gay and having sex with another man is one thing, but when it is found out that, they are in an incestuous relationship it gets harder.

Brennan and Evan’s mother had passed away making it possible for them to finally get to know each other. Having been separated at birth by their parents and not being told has left them with a void in their lives, so when they meet they realize that is not their main problem. Luka and Alex also have their problems growing up but at least they had been together all their lives.

Now that they are basically living together, they realize they truly love one another and it is going great till Evan tries to save a young man. Evan is hurt real bad from the fight and everyone around him is falling apart. Brennan, Luka, and Alex can’t be together without Evan because it seems he is their glue that holds them together. They make several mistakes that almost cost them each other, but their struggles only get worse when their father and a friend find out about them. It slowly drives them apart and now they had to find away to bring what they had back. To make it stronger they need to be honest and communicate.

The story line is great with perhaps an opening for another book to tell how they go forward living together in a new place. I was happy with this book, a bit bewildered at times but really glad to have read it. I like how they all can mix it up a bit with each other, how well they show their love and the reactions they have when the times do get rough. I also love the kinky sex they have as well as the normal sex. I do wish that I could figure out Luka’s reaction a bit more with Alex. It seems that he is a bit angrier than the others are. So I feel that there should be a book three to get more into the aspect of their lives.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves twins, hot and kinky sex, and a great story all together.

Blurb:Any hunter will tell you part of the satisfaction is in the chase as well as the triumphant capture of their prey. In Snatched, the focus is on the eroticism of the power play between men and their male captors. Sometimes romance ensues, sometimes just a good amount of steamy sex, but in all cases, the effects of one character being in utter control of the man he has captured takes center stage. The appeal is in the erotic dominance and the way the captive would try to escape if he could, whether he truly wants to deep down or not.

Thomas is determined not to let the fights with his boyfriend, John, ruin his vacation in the tropical rainforests of Equador. But when he steps off the trail, he steps into danger, as he is taken captive by guerilla freedom fighters. Held against his will, he nonetheless finds himself developing an attraction to the man who both arouses and repels him. And as his captivity weighs on him, Thomas finds that being “The Guerilla’s Plaything” is not the worst fate he can envision…

Bryce’s life changes forever the night that he and his boyfriend are brutally attacked by creatures that seem like they can only be demonic. He’s sure, when they carry him off, that he’s being packed off for lunch, so it’s a shock when he finds that one of his captors is not the horror that he expected. As their attraction grows, it could be “The Two of Us” against the world.

As a member of the lesser nobility, Micah has never truly been able to “Feel the Wind” of freedom, and he and his family are not exempt from the brutality of the highest of the nobles. When he is imprisoned, hunted for sport, and captured by Ari, one of the realm’s Princes, he feels that his life is over. But when an escape attempt leads him to the bed of Dhea, Ari’s brother, he finds that there is much more to live for… and at the same time, so much more danger than he knows.

Thommie’s Review: I can’t resist seduction. There’s something about it that makes my blood heat, but when we talk forced seduction that blood goes overboard and right into boiling stage. This Anthology was an eye-catcher for me and I simply could not resist it. Finishing it, I was left with sated feelings and a slight smile. Definitely recommended to all those that are even a little bit like me. Enjoy!

The Guerrilla’s Plaything by Tilly Hunter ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts

This story is a bit thought-provoking. We have a tourist being captured and the circumstances are a bit at odds. His captor is clearly toying with him sexually and evoking reactions that are in fact a bit humiliating for the captive. The fact that the captive’s lifestyle leans on the side of bondage doesn’t help matter much, because every time he’s in a vulnerable situation his libido make a presence. Truth be told, I was half expecting the whole scene to be invented by the captive’s boyfriend as a gift, but when it proved not to be so my feeling on this read started confusing me a bit.

For example, I did not appreciate much the fact that Thomas let himself be taken by Alvaro while he is in a relationship with John. If this entire story was a scene directed by John to spice up their life with games I’d be totally in for it, but as it was I disliked the fact that Thomas proved to be a cheater. Yes, some would argue with me that he didn’t have that much choice, that there was a blur line in the consent factor, but Thomas did never protest to any of the ministrations received from Alvaro. In addition the way the story ended “happily” was a bit surreal as well, convenient perhaps.

All in all, though, I did enjoy the psychological part of it. The way it focused on the victim and his thoughts/reactions, the way one’s lifestyle might make a difference in how one views a situation and copes with it. Since that was the point of writing this story in first place, I think the author managed well. The end result despite the surreal situation was very enjoyable and well written.

The Two of Us by Lor Rose ♥♥♥♥ 4 Hearts

What an intriguing and enticing story this one was. I have no words on the characters’ personality development. Our main character Bryce, the victim, is a chillingly cold person inside, with no feelings running his nature. No wants, no emotions. He witnesses the death of his sex partner, sees him being eaten alive and still the only thing he feels is fascination. How cold, yet how very intriguing at the same time. How risky having one such person as your protagonist.

Xanthos on the other hand is a creature of the paranormal world, horse-like, a movable stone who hasn’t felt anything but pain – and that slightly due to his enhanced healing – for years, so it makes sense for him to be vicious and cold. Hunting and eating his prey is part of his existence. Oh and I just loved the name/word play for Xanthos. As it is Xanthos in Greek stands for blond, and that put a smile in my face because damn, the author did research on that and it makes me appreciate the read even more.

In the grand scene these two characters, hunter and prey, captor and captive, they work together well, they seem to fit perfectly and complement each other well. Their lovemaking seemed almost inevitable, something that couldn’t be avoided, and it definitely held a powerful punch of chemistry. The sensations that come through the text are quite potent as Xanthos has been deprived from sensing anything for thousands of years and now finally he’s feeling them all again. In my opinion, the author here achieved to make what her characters did reach us and captivate us as well, and it made for a highly enjoyable read.

Overall, this has been one very interesting and fun story to read, one that I highly recommend to those who like the sinister side of paranormal.

Feel the Wind by Ann Anderson ♥♥♥♥ 3.5 Hearts

Well if this story wasn’t highly amusing and entertaining. I think I loved every aspect of it except for the happily for now ending. The story is set in a world where people are gifted. Our main character has the gift of the wind and it’s that treat that grands him the opportunity to escape his imprisonment if he managed to escape captivity for a whole day. Nobles will hunt him down, everyone using their gifts as well, and if they capture him, he’ll be their slave and bound to do whatever they wish. If not, he wins his freedom.

As much as it killed me to see Micah lose his freedom, it also rather thrilled me that he managed to pick his captor somehow. He falls prey to one of the Princes and the story of his enslavery inside the palace grounds begins.
The plot was not only engaging but also surprising. Ari, the prince, was a lovely character, but his brother Dhea was the star for me. I was shocked at how the author spun the story, but it was a pleasant one and I enjoyed the events that followed immensely. The ménage scene was the best part of all, making the three men balance superbly.

What followed that though kind of soured the story for me, mostly because I never understood the reason behind Ari’s behavior. It was never explained and it left a hole in the storytelling and admittedly, it still nags at me.

Overall, though this was a great read, a recommend one to all those who love romance wrapped in a forced seduction package.

Gigi’s Review:  ♥♥♥♥ 4 Hearts This fast and fun anthology of three stories of kidnapping, chase, and captivity leaves you not only cheering for the captives, but also for the captor! From hot steamy jungles to mysterious fantasy worlds….

The Guerrilla’s Plaything by Tilly Hunter: A contemporary case of kidnapping. Grumbling on vacation, by himself, Thomas Jones get’s kidnapped by rebel groups for information and possibly ransom. But his sexy captor, Ramirez, quickly realizes Thom has a bit of kink for bondage, and takes advantage of those rope bindings! The leader of the Guerrilla faction isn’t as kind and may have a different kind of suffering in mind for Tom. Tom’s original handler, Ramirez takes the opportunities that arise to both help Tom and help himself to Tom! Will they both escape? How will Tom explain his sexy assailant to his lover if he does return home?

The Two of Us by Lor Rose: A paranormal chase. What would you do if you were being chased down by bloodthirsty stone stallions hell-bent for your flesh? Hmm… Bryce decides he’s share his flesh with Xanthos…but can he turn his hell-raising lover’s heart from stone to hot tenderness? This odd yet fascinating short is loosely based, I think, on the four horsemen….though they have turned into human heart-eating savages…only true love can change their hearts.

Feel the Wind by Ann Anderson: A paranormal fantasy setting. Micah is being chased, with the possibility he could win his freedom if he can avoid capture for a complete cycle. When things get helpless, he decides that if he will be caught, he’d rather choose his captor. His punishment: being the plaything of a prince…. Once he sacrifices his virginity to Prince Ari, with pleasant results, Prince Dhea’s interest peaks thinking that Ari can deliver on his own kinks. Being the pet of princes causes problems, jealousy, squabbling, attempted escape, and attempted murder…a very exciting adventure indeed!

Review: Well as far as ghost goes this guy is funny, weird, but funny. Cal was an actor who was flat broke, so when a lawyer contacts him he is quite surprised. Especially when he finds out that, the lawyer is contacting him about his ex-boyfriend. It would seem Max had committed suicide and left everything he had to Cal. Three million dollars was a lot of money and to Cal it was just strange that a man who swore that he didn’t love him and left him behind would leave this money to him. The only problem was Max wasn’t leaving him alone. Or should I say Max’s ghost would not leave him be.

When Cal gets there, he is met by Dewey, the lawyer for Max’s estate. Cal is quite taken by Dewey and wants to get to know him better however Max didn’t want that. He wanted Cal to die and join him in the afterlife. Which of course Cal turns down. The only problem is Max is driving him insane. Goosing the real estate woman and scaring her, inserting himself in Cal and Dewey’s sex life and just plain talking to him every time he turned around had Cal trying to figure out how to get rid of him. I got to say when I picked this story up I didn’t think this was what I had in mind. I laughed my ass off at every turn in this book. Dewey, once Max shown himself to him, decided to help Cal get rid of him. Setting up a compromise, even arguing with a ghost had him bewildered but he wanted his man. This story has quite a bit of humor to it and a lot of surprise’s inside of it. If you want a great laugh, you need to read this book.

I loved the way Dewey and Cal act with each other. Once Cal gets over some problems he sees, they hit it off pretty good. I liked how both characters slowly open up to each other, and the trust that Dewey puts in some of the things that Cal talks about, to the help he wants to give. I must say though this story is a bit far out there. It just doesn’t come off as believable to me. I will recommend it though because it was one of the funniest stories I had read in a long time. I did wish for more sex scenes however. One kinky sex scene with both characters and a ghost had me smiling for more.

A.E. Via You Can See Me MugExcerpt:

Ric leaned his head back against the elevator paneling and watched the numbers light up all the way to floor ten before his eyes drifted shut for the rest of the way. When the doors opened, he came face-to-face with Prescott’s Texan.

Fuck me.

Instead of the gorgeous prick getting on the elevator and leaving, the cocky bastard took a couple steps back and leaned against the wall on the opposite side of the hallway and stared openly at him as if he hadn’t a care in the world. His hazel eyes scanned Ric up and down, taking in his disheveled, stressed-out appearance.

“Do you have a fucking problem?” Ric growled, refusing to pretend to be cordial to the man even though he was a complete stranger and had done absolutely nothing to him.

The man had the nerve to smirk at him and shake his head as if pitying Ric, or perhaps throwing it in Ric’s face that he’d definitely had a better night than he had. Ric did try to hide his anger at knowing the man had slept with his Pres. Why the hell else would he be leaving at five in the damn morning? Unless he delivered newspapers or milk, he had absolutely no reason to be on this floor this time of morning. Bastard.

“No, I don’t have a problem,” he drawled slowly, making sure to put extra enunciation on the “I” part of his sentence. “But, obviously, you do. Or else you wouldn’t be scowling at me for no reason.”

“Fuck you,” Ric snarled, stepping just a little closer. He wanted to tear the man’s lips off for talking with that accent. Then he wanted to rip his hands off for daring to touch his Prescott. The man’s probably a male gold digger.

“Did you enjoy taking advantage of Prescott? Did you get what you came for?” Ric growled like a rabid animal three inches away from the man’s face, but he’d be damned if the asshole didn’t even flinch at his showcase of fury. No reaction whatsoever.

The Texan had one hand casually tucked in his jeans pocket, kicking back one side of his stylish blazer, while he lazily rubbed his other hand over his taut chest and washboard abs that showed through the thin material of his untucked dress shirt. Ric hated to admit it, but the man looked well fucked, and he wore it well.

“How could you do that to someone like him?” Ric fumed, and it took everything in him to control his rage.

If I hit him, no one would know. There’s no one around, no witnesses. It’d be his word against mine.

“I knew I’d peg you in less than five minutes.” The man spoke with one dark brown eyebrow cocked up. He ran his fingers through his bed-tousled dark brown hair and let out an exasperated breath.

“Excuse me?” Ric blinked.

“Now I know why you were too stupid to hold on to Prescott Vaughan. You were too busy feeling sorry for him. Instead of you seeing a brilliant man, a world-renowned, accomplished chef who happens to be one of the most talented men to ever set foot in a kitchen, you see a needy, helpless man. Ahhh. Now it makes perfect sense.”

“Don’t try to act like you know me because you don’t,” Ric growled, still trying to be mindful they were in the hallway of the floor that he lived on.

The Texan pushed off the wall and closed the few inches between them. His six feet, two inches of height had him eye to eye with Ric, and the man showed no fear. His handsome face was now a mask of furious anger.

“I saw you treat him like shit on the bottom of your shoes last night. I watched him beg you for five fuckin’ minutes A.E. Via You Can See Me Notebookof your time, and you spat in his face. Now, you have the audacity to say I’m mistreating him? Fuck you,” he snarled right back at Ric.

Just as fast as the man’s anger came, it disappeared, and he composed himself to reveal that smirk that Ric selfishly rejoiced Pres couldn’t see, because it was sexy as fuck…and the man knew it.

Ric watched his competition push the elevator button as he rubbed his hand over his morning stubble before speaking again. “You know what they say, don’t you, Doc? One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and Prescott Vaughan is definitely a rare, precious treasure.”

The Texan inched in even closer, which surprised the hell out of Ric since they were practically nose to nose. Ric was smacked in the face with a faint soap-and-water fragrance that made his eyelids flutter and his own dick jerk to life. Ric’s half-lidded eyes were riveted to the Texan’s plush lips as he leaned in and whispered directly into Ric’s open mouth.

“If you don’t pull your head out of your ass and claim Prescott Vaughan like he wants, I won’t stop until I’ve fucked the sexy strawberry ten ways to Sunday and there’s not a single trace of your existence left in his mind, because with or without you, he needs love, and I was the one there last night to lick his sweet tears when you walked away.”

The elevator doors opened at his final words, and the smooth Texan took a few graceful steps backward into the elevator and gave Ric a sexy wink right before the doors closed.

Fucking asshole, Ric thought.

Tams Review: 5 ♥♥♥♥♥ Hearts

Menage’a Trois anyone??

Prescott Vaughan had the perfect life. A world class chef with the notoriety to back him up, a condo to die for and a beautiful fiancé to come home to. Until his world literally crashes down around him. A car accident leaves him blind, depressed and empty. And then his fiancé leaves him as well, “I didn’t sign up for this.” Bitch. But his mother will not let him wallow in his self imposed misery, so she uses the one thing he loves and still possess’ to get him up and moving again. Cooking.

Dr. Rickson Edwards is smitten with Press from the moment he lays eyes on him. He quietly watches him for months until a face to face meeting in their building brings them closer together. That the attraction is mutual becomes evident once they spend more time together. But Press has a girlfriend, and Ric doesn’t share. But there is something about Press that makes Ric want to protect him and make him his. The problem with that is, Press doesn’t need a protector, he needs a lover.

Blair McKenzie has graduated from Le Cordon Blue and is putting himself through the final stages of school working as an escort. In a desperate attempt for any kind of adult companionship, Press calls the agency for a date. Blair is overwhelmed to be face to face with the chef he has been in awe of for years, Presscot Vaughan. When Ric once again brushes off Press’s request to talk to him, Blair is there to pick up the pieces. And the two of them hatch a plan to make Ric theirs.

There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears in this book. Mine and the characters! All three men are slightly broken and just a little bent, but together the three of them just might have a chance at happiness. Press is bitter because he’s blind and resents anyone that shows him an ounce of pitty. He is also strong, beautiful and talented. Ric loves his career as a doctor but lives under the shadow of an accident from his past. His domineering tendencies and his larger than life presence are just what the doctor ordered for Press and Blaine. And then we have Blaine the tall, sexy Texan with that accent that just drips honey. His weakness is his insecurity, and it almost costs him everything he worked so hard to achieve.

The way these three complement each other is equal parts insanity and security. Even though Ric presents as the Dominant, Press actually gives the orders in the bedroom. And Blaine’s pliant and submissive nature blends perfectly with his two dominant lovers. None of them want to share, but they find a way to compromise and make a life and a home as a threesome. I laughed and a cried while reading this story. Every emotion across the spectrum was there. Anger, love, hatred, longing, passion and an intensity between these three men that clearly evident in the writing.

This was my first read with this author, but it will not be my last. Definitely one to add to your TBR list. Be sure that you have Kleenex at the ready though, for the tears and the.. well, you know.

Cat’s Review: 4 ♥♥♥♥ Hearts:

The book begins with Prescott coming home to his plush condominium and sexy female fiancé to celebrate his getting to go to Paris to cook alongside his idol. A terrible accident ensues leaving him blind. In this section Pres isn’t dealing well with the changes in his life. He is fortunate enough to be able to afford a staff consisting of a housecleaning service, a driver, and a stylist. The most important is his mother that finally grabs him by the ear, forces him out of bed and shows him he can still live life by using his other senses. Just when he thinks things are going well he is blindsided ( no pun intended) by his fiancé leaving him.

Wait! Isn’t this a MM book? Yes! Twist one! With his keen sense of smell he finds himself intrigued with his neighbour and they become good friends. Twist two…the horrible 2nd girlfriend…I was ready to cause her bodily harm and slap Pres for letting her use him so, though I felt sorry for him and could see his doing so out of loneliness and feeling he couldn’t do better.. these are just a couple of the twists as there are several. Which brings me to what I liked about the book.

Number one I loved the characters. I found Prescott intriguing. He was sexy, well known had it all going for him and was dealt some lots of lemons in life.( Good thing he is a chef !) I loved that things didn’t go smoothly for him though he had lots of money, and I loved how the story dealt with emotions in all the characters. I loved Ric and could relate to how he dealt with Pres. He isn’t the easiest man in the world to love.( which I also liked). I also liked Blair but not as much as Ric and Pres. I’m not sure why but something about him fell flat with me and I think the story would have been just as good if we didn’t go there, but on the other hand If I rate it as a ménage…It was a good one. I dislike ménages where everything goes so smooth and the relationships focus on one lover, this did focus on all three men and did show that this lifestyle is far from easy to live.

When you see it has forty some-odd chapters don’t freak out. They are short and concise (which I absolutely love) I like shorter chapters myself.

The only thing I didn’t really like is about 80 percent through, the story slowed down and it really focused a lot on the sex. It was good sex, and very hot, but just a bit much for my personal taste. I will say though it did not change my opinion of the story since I rate on storyline and characters (these are things that I look for in books I read. Everything else is just icing on the cake).

To sum it all up. This is a great story. With several twists and turns, hot, sexy, interesting characters, short, intriguing chapters, and a very satisfying ending.

If you like Chefs (I do,) hot doctors ( who doesn’t), escorts, stories dealing with disabilities, great characters, and very hot mansex this is for you!

Blurb: A routine trick propels a tall, dark, cynical hustler (the strikingly handsome newcomer Ben Bonenfant) into a series of life-changing encounters in this stunningly photographed drama. But this amicable and sexually efficient rent boy begins to look at himself differently when he finds himself lost in a maze-like apartment building. On his journey through the building, he tricks with a variety of johns; sex is the commonality, but out of that commodity comes raw, unguarded emotions for all. Witty, sexy and touching, Strapped is an unforgettable look into one young man’s moving journey to understanding.

Review: The DVD cover reads, “Honest and Intelligent.” And this is so true.

The Hustler learns about life and love during a sex fuelled trip through an apartment building that is straight out of The Twilight Zone. I seriously thought at one point he’d wound up in purgatory. And one of his tricks actually asked him if he seriously thought the building was some kind of purgatory, to which I chuckled.

Back to the Hustler, whose name changes with each trick. He initially came to the building with the Russian, John, who is an inexperienced and closeted homosexual looking for someone to pop his cherry, so to speak. As H is leaving Johns he runs into a full on Queen and he is convinced that H is someone he knows. One thing leads to another and H after accompanying the Queen back to his apartment winds up blowing another guy in the bed room.

Next up, we have David, a supposed Good Samaritan that will show H his way out of the building. They wind up in the basement and first David asks for sex but then goes kind of psycho and punches H. Sam happens upon them and rescues H, taking him to the top of the building to his apartment where they ponder their meagre existences. Sam ends up bending H over his bar and they both have a very happy ending. Mind you he’s gotten paid for all these tricks, and he’s managed to make himself into what each and every guy seems to want or need. Almost like a chameleon. And he’s versatile. But he doesn’t kiss because THAT is too personal.

All throughout the movie there is this one sort of geeky cute guy that is eyeing H. Gary is scared and alone and all he wants is for someone to make him feel something, feel anything. So he pays H to kiss him, that’s all he wants is a kiss. The two have a very steamy and passionate make out session that ends with another twin set of happy endings. And supposedly this is the end of the line for H, who finally finds his way out of the building.

But there was something about Gary. The way he kissed him, touched him and looked at him that makes H question leaving. In the end the story really does pass itself off as some type of purgatory in my opinion. H has to make his way through each of these tricks, all different in what they want and who they are, in order to find that light at the end of the tunnel. Imagine his surprise when his light is the cute little geek.

The acting in this movie was far better than I’ve seen in many gay movies. The storyline was plausible and the reality of it kept me engaged all the way. There is also a happy ending, another thing we don’t often see in gay movies. It’s like there is a mandate on angst and misery in LGBT movies, well not this time! I loved this movie and I highly recommend you watch it. If you are a fan of slightly weird stories with a little bit of sexy and some pretty decent make out scenes and sex scenes for a movie that’s not classified as soft porn.

Blurb: In a world with little hope and no rules, the only thing they have to lose is themselves.

Rhys Cooper is a dead man. Cut off from the world since childhood, he’s finally exposed to the lethal virus that wiped out most of the human race. Now his only hope for survival is infection by another strain that might provide immunity. But it’s sexually transmitted, and the degradation he feels at submitting to the entire squad of soldiers that rescued him eclipses any potential for pleasure—except with Darius, the squadron’s respected, capable leader.

Sergeant Darius Murrell has seen too much death and too little humanity. He’s spent a decade putting plague victims out of their misery and escorting survivors to a safe haven he can never enjoy. He’d rather help Rhys live than put him down, so when Rhys can’t reconcile himself to doing what’s necessary to survive, Darius is forced to save Rhys in spite of himself.

But with each passing day, it looks less and less likely that Rhys can be saved. And that means that Darius might soon have to put a bullet in the head of the one person in years who reminds him of what it means to be human.

Review: Rhys Cooper has been mentally and physically abused for most of his teenage years. As one of the few survivors forced to hold up with a religious fanatic that blamed homosexuals for the virus that has almost wiped out mankind, he was ridiculed and shamed for his sexuality daily. Malnourished and already close to death, he’s exposed to the Revenant Strain of the virus while trying to protect his sister and her child. Revs are zombie like creatures that feed off of survivors.

There are three main Strains of the virus. Revenant, Revs, Zombies. Rots, these survivors once infected simply Rot and die. Juggarnauts, Jugs, super soldiers that protect the survivors from infection when possible, and dispose of them when not. This is a government issued virus that we lost control off, how many times does science have to be bitch slapped for messing with DNA and genetics? The virus has morphed into these three categories. There is a possible cure for Rev and Rot, to be infected by a Jug with their strain of the virus. This can only be done through bodily fluids, specifically during sex.

When a team of Jugs comes across Rhys and his brother-in-law they are immediately taken with the young man and his innocence. They want to save him and protect him, but what it requires they do leaves him feeling even more abused and degraded than he already does. After all, he’s never had a choice about anything in his life up to now, and the soldiers that are passing him around like a blow up doll aren’t giving him a choice either. But multiple Jug hosts must transmit their Strain of the virus through Rhys if he is to have any chance to survive. He’s humiliated nonetheless and unable to reciprocate even a modicum of pleasure with any one, except Darius.

There is something about Rhys’ young and innocent nature, his inexperience that is just a little rough around the edges due to the life he’s led that drives Darius insane with want and need. And as much as Rhys tries to convince himself that he doesn’t enjoy the sexual contact with any of the soldiers, he’s lying to himself when it comes to Darius. As the story progresses so does their relationship. Darkness and death are a daily occurrence for these men, and their only light is each other. They both refuse to admit it. Out loud, to everyone around them that can see it plain as day, and least of all to themselves.

Rhys is certain that his body won’t take the Strain, that he is going to die. He captures every stolen moment he can with Darius. Their relationship slowly shifts from forced and just about making Rhys immune, to something more tender, sensual, and loving. The dominate and submissive aspect is always front and center. Darius begins to want to love Rhys while dominating him. The two go hand in hand for Darius. But he fears the day that they realize Rhys is not immune, the day he has to kill the young man he’s not sure any longer if he can live without.

This story was long, dark, and full of pain and misery. Death is everywhere in this dystopian society and though a lot of couples have sex purely for pleasure. There is the degrading transfer immunity sex. On the run trying to find sanctuary or make it back to base, the team along with their few survivors faces Revs, Rots, starvation, and basic annihilation. This is an intricately written novel with several things making the backbone of the story. There is the science of the Strains, which sort of bored me a little and is the only reason I knocked off half a star. BDSM plays a huge part of the story, but is the lighter side of this lifestyle. Darius is just the huge, imposing, overpowering, sexual being and it is basically ingrained in him to dominate. Rhys is a natural submissive, so their pairing was brilliance. And then there is that Zombie twist which is made believable with the science.

I know this is a lot to absorb in one book, but it is almost 400 pages. I was intrigued from start to finish, read this book in one sitting that caused me to lose lots of sleep. Fast past and engrossing with lots of action and mystery. You really won’t know until the last dozen or so pages 1, if Rhys is going to survive 2, did the Jug Strain take? Or is he some kind of immunity Strain? And 3 will he and Darius be able to survive each other if they stay together? The sex is off the charts smoking friggin hot! And aside from a couple of scenes that skirt the boundaries of acceptability, but thankfully never jump the fence, no one is forced into anything. I did prefer Rhys and Darius in the latter half of the book when their relationship became more loving and even keel. But BDSM is what it is, that is the lifestyle and kudos to the author for staying true to that aspect of her novel.

Fans of Dystopian, Zombies, Sci-Fi, BDSM, and an impossible love just maybe having its way in the end will love this book.

Review: A short, romantic story that tows the line between mature YA and NA.

Theo Dwyer has no interest in celebrating Valentine’s Day, or in participating in the blind date his college roommate is trying to set him up on. That is until his suitor takes to Twitter in an attempt to change Theo’s mind. Almost the entire story is compiled of twitter posts between Theo and his would be Romeo. Theo has no idea who the utterly romantic guy on the other end of the web could be, but he’s definitely making him rethink his whole ‘anti VDay’ stance.

I really enjoyed the extra effort that Mister mystery put into wooing Theo. Since he’s someone that knows Theo, even though Theo doesn’t know who it is yet, he knows about the pain of the past. TruClrs4vr takes the pressure of looks and sex off the table, and shows his interest in other ways. Romantic notes, flowers and gestures that are put into play to show Theo the colors of love.

IF this had been a novel, the constant tweet aspect of the story would have driven me mad. But in such a small dose, I was able to appreciate the need for it within the story Doyon was writing. This little story is perfect for all you hopeless romantics that dream of someone to swoon over you!

Review: This is book two in the series and I do suggest you read them in order even though the first one has a little bit of girly bits.

Regan is sort of a loner even though he is older than the rest of his clan. He prefers to be a guard and keep to himself.

Salutel is a demon but unlike the others he heals instead of kills, his family is trying to hunt him down to keep him from being able to heal the dragon shifters.

I like this story since it’s rather different with its dragon shifters and demons. Yet once again, I was a little lost since Salutel shows up and it seems we should know what he is. I would have liked more clarity on his species, where they came from and why they are after the dragons.  Having said that, I really loved Sal. I think he has become one of my favourite in this series.  I also like Regan a lot.  This story is hot and sexy and it does have the shifters having sex in their shifted form. (I actually like this).

If you like Dragon shifters, demons, hot and sexy sex with shifters in their shifted forms, this is for you!

Review: I absolutely loved this story. It was funny as hell, kept my laughing throughout it. I really wished it were longer though. I wanted to hear more about Wilder and Locke. To hear if they reconnect in New York.

Wilder and Locke met in a little bar and hit it off. One security expert and a country boy rocked the sheets for one hot night full of sex. They have the strengths and weaknesses that balance together and it makes you want them more each time you read it.

It is a really cute story. The only problem I had with it was that it left me hanging. It did keep my attention from start to end. If you want a really cute story that is a fast read, this would be the one to pick…

Blurb: Fifteen-year-old Treasa Prescott thinks she’s an alien. She doesn’t fit in with the preppy South African private school crowd and feels claustrophobic in her own skin. Treasa is worried she might spend life as a social pariah when she meets Gabriel du Preez. Gabriel plays the piano better than Beethoven, has a black belt in karate, and would look good wearing a garbage bag. Treasa thinks he’s perfect. It might even be love. As long as Gabriel doesn’t find out, she’s a freak.

As Treasa spends time with Gabriel, she realizes she might not love him as much as she wants to be him, and that the reason she feels uncomfortable in her skin might have less to do with extra-terrestrial origins and more to do with being born in the wrong body.

But Gabriel is not the perfect boy Treasa imagines. He harbors dark secrets and self-destructive tendencies. Still, Treasa might be able to accept Gabriel’s baggage if he can accept who she longs to be.

Blurb: After millennia of hiding in the shadows, the creatures of myth known collectively as “The Others,” have stepped forward into the light of day and demanded the right to live in peace, sharing the planet humans had long claimed as their own.

When the humans respond to the appearance of the Others with a threat of genocide, the Others convene a Council of War, intent on developing and implementing their attack, but they discover a chilling prophecy.

“Heed me well, all of you. Attack the humans without the Keeper and you will fail. Every one of you will become nothing but a memory, a myth, and the humans will truly inherit the earth.”

The choice is clear: The Others must find the Keeper, or die. The Council charges Liam, son of the Fae chieftain, with this critical mission but he quickly finds this mission isn’t easy. Not only does no one have any idea where The Keeper might be, but also time is running out, and the Keeper is determined not to be found.

Review: Marin has lived in secret amongst the humans ever since he fled his home in Atlantis, the loss of his family and discovering the truth of their deaths forced him to run. When the other paranormal creatures revealed themselves Marin stayed hidden. At first humans and The Others lived together in peace but that soon changed and the humans declared The Others the enemy. Forced into the shadows The Others convened a Council of War but a powerful being declared they needed the Keeper or they would fail, but the Keeper disappeared several years before. Liam is the son of the Fae Chieftain and has been tasked with finding the Keeper, but finding someone who is adapt at hiding might just be an impossible task. Can Liam find the Keeper before it is too late? And will Marin face his past and embrace the powers he never wanted?

This is a great paranormal story that has the paranormals revealing themselves to the world only to be thrust into a war that has a dismal outlook. Marin is a lovely Atlantean who has had his entire family wiped out; he fled after discovering the terrible truth and hides amongst the humans, never confiding in the other Atlanteans the truth. Liam is a powerful Sidhe Warrior tasked with finding the Keeper, but he wars with himself over doing what he has been ordered to do and doing what must be done in order to stop a war. Both males can’t deny what they feel for the other, but getting to the truth is their imperative task.

Hmmm there’s nothing like conflict to get the blood pumping and this story is filled with conflict, evil planning, wicked deeds, and a love that blossoms in hard times. I really enjoyed this story and the two main characters; I liked how the author showed the strengths and the fears of Marin and Liam, Marin with his incredible powers but with his shame over running rather than confronting and Liam with his Warrior nature but with fears he will never be the Sidhe his father is. The story flows smoothly and you fall into it quickly, there’s plenty of explanation as to what has happened in the past and what is happening in the present so you never lose the thread of what is going on.

Marin and Liam’s relationship is an instant lusting between them that quickens its pace and they soon find themselves falling for each other, there’s enough hot scenes to quicken our pulses but not too many of them that it overtakes the story. The story of the beginning of the war is wonderful, there’s someone aiming for power and it is down to Marin and Liam to stop them but convincing others that there is a traitor is hard to do, especially with the powerful egos of the leaders of the different species in play. I must admit to wanting more from this story and I can only hope that there is more from Liam and Marin and this world in the future.

I recommend this to those that love the paranormal, fantasy, great characters digging deep to do the right thing, twisted enemies masquerading as allies, a love developing in hard times and a great ending that leaves you wondering if more is to come.

Review: This is a dystopian story set in the 24th century. The human race has suffered through two more world wars and the results are devastating when it comes to technology – that has nearly wiped out – and quality of life. Among things that have changed are the political maps. Governments have fallen and there one worldwide Crown now governing. Homosexuality is also now punished by death or jail. However, there are loopholes that allow the deviants to exist. Slavery is lawful. A person may choose to become a slave and according to law he/she is equal to his/her master, bound to obey him for as long as a contract exists and the master is bound to provide for his/her slave. It is only like this that a master can gain a male slave, aka have homosexual sex, but they must not reside in the same house. Blond people are rare, so they are the most valuable slaves, to be cherished and shown off as a trophy or icon of power. But the truth is not so ideal, far from it. A slave, no matter what the law says, is a slave…

So this entire slave thing is very, very similar to what geisha used to be once upon a time, the idea at least. Now I’ll be honest here, this entire theme and story is very, very enticing. I could have adored this book. The mystery had excellent premises, the characters were plenty and that could have provided for a really interesting read. Our main character Sloan is charming and with a bit effort could have been a real badass to be remembered while the Beautiful Dragon (main slave character) could have charmed our pants off. BUT!

Yup, there is a big, huge even, but there. In my opinion, this book shouldn’t have hit the shelves yet. It was unfinished, unpolished, with too many typographic errors, a disturbing case of head hopping, and in serious, SERIOUS need of revision. The plot-holes were tremendous, events being mentioned and then forgotten down the road, the thread of thinking weaving right, left, and not making sense most of the times. Overall, the impression I got out of this book was that there was no serious editing performed here.

As for the erotic part of the story, that too needed a huge amount of polish. The chemistry failed to present itself and some relationships in the story and actions that were connected to those relationships made not one sense. The bonds and emotions had the possibility to take you over but never made it and the erotic scenes needed too many eyes on them to spot and point the fact that the characters jumped from one scene to the other in no sensible order, for example the couple would be in the car heading home and in the same paragraph and next line they’d be in their apartment… It is not a case of small things like this, rather the amount of small things that made it impossible to appreciate the book.

Again, I must stress the point that this idea/theme was highly intriguing. If properly worked/edited this would have been an incredible book. As it is, it’s not recommendable.

Tam’s Review: Heart Rating: ♥♥♥ 2.5Hearts Jez wanders into the local bookstore one afternoon in search of a comic book for his best mate. He’s struck speechless by the guy at the counter. Rhys comes across as the proverbial geek, and Jez enlists the help of his pal so that he too can master the language. Jez doesn’t consider himself to be anything above average and doesn’t think he can be himself and stand a chance with the tall, slender and gorgeous Rhys.

Jez spends the next day getting geeked up with Tel, his best pal, in preparation to go back and make an impression on Rhys. Jez transforms into a fairly convincing Geek and that first date turns into a trip to comic con, which turns into a wild, yet verbally awkward, sexy night. In the end, both Jez and Rhys have a confession to make.

I’m not a huge comic book fan, so a lot of the comic/geek speak was foreign to me. I am, however, a huge Star Trek and Battlestar fan from back in the day. And I know how hard-core fans can be, so I was able to see where the author was going with this story line. It’s not your typical M/M romance, that is for sure. The two ML were obviously comfortable with their sexuality, but the sex was written slightly awkward, so the story didn’t blend well in that aspect.

I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it either. Just an okay read, but hard-core Geeks, sci-fi and comic book fans are sure to love this little short story.

Portia’s Two Cents:  Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥ 4 Hearts Well, I speak Geek proficiently, and I LOVED this book.  It didn’t have the angst that I’ve come to expect from J.L.Merrow, but it showed her playful comedic side and I thought it was brilliant.  Rhys is a hottie, who happens to be a nice guy.  Jez is a nice guy, who doesn’t realize he’s a hottie.  I was rooting for them from speechless moment one. I loved every misunderstanding, every misstep and the awe with which both came into the relationship.  It was just two nice guys falling in love and I really enjoyed watching them do it.

My only complaint is that Tel is straight.  I’d have saved of my money to read about the guy who could tame that hard-core geek.

Review: Joron is a prince of Blade Run and has lived the last several years helping to fix the problems that his sex mad, cruel father ignored. When his older brother, Diagus, returns due to his father’s ill health he has hope that things will begin to improve, and he holds on to that, hope even as he learns that he has to avoid Diagus at all costs. When his brother inherits the throne, Joron learns he is the owner of Ice Dragon Pass and his stepmother will stop at nothing to return it to his Diagus’ rule. King Aric is visiting to negotiate for passage through Ice Dragon Pass, and to see if he can find the servant who caught his eye months ago. When Aric comes across a lady being attacked he is overcome by her beauty and decides to make her his. Joron is shocked to learn of his sisters impending marriage, especially since she is promised to another who she loves and sets out to Claymoor Doom to convince King Aric to release his sister from the contract and then things become interesting. With Aric refusing to let him go and his brother’s obsession with him, Joron can still only think about his subjects and their suffering, but can he give up the love he is beginning to find or will the threat to others make him give up his freedom?

I have to say that this story was a joy to read, a world that has a medieval feel to it, a generous thoughtful prince in danger, a powerful king who is arrogant, and a new king who isn’t quite right in the head. Joron is an incredible character who is selfless and kind; he is also beautiful and intelligent and has put himself at risk for his people. Aric is an interesting character who is arrogant and very sure of himself, he sees what he wants and will do anything to get it. Diagus is a character who is definitely the baddie, he creeps you out with his obsession, and although you get glimpses of something good in him, the obsession overshadows everything else.

I was pulled quickly into this story and found myself wondering what was going to happen next, the storyline is very involved but has many characters who share the weight. The perspective does move from character to character but in such a way, that it is very clear and not confusing, and I have to say it was nice to be able to see certain parts from other people’s eyes. The storyline itself is brilliantly composed because there is more going on than just Joron and Aric getting together, we have a self-involved Queen/Queen Mother who will do anything to make sure her son has power, we have a new king obsessed with making his brother his, we have an arrogant king who has mystery surrounding him and then Joron who will do anything to protect those he cares about.

Joron’s and Aric’s relationship isn’t easy and from the way the story ended it isn’t going to be easy either, the sex between them is hot and at first it is coercive but Joron soon discovers just how much he enjoys it. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what will happen next, there is so much to look forward to with the different players in the story and the plans that are beginning to unfold.

I recommend this to those who love high fantasy, great characters, a brilliant storyline, some creepiness, danger, hot sex and the beginning of  difficult love story.

Seeing DOUBLE – Excerpt
Warning! Steam level – high

I’ve always been a bit of a hermit. I have close friends that I see every few weeks. I had an actual proper boyfriend, rather than just a hook-up, but that was over a decade ago. I’m quite the happy singleton. However, as I lay here with the weight of a man on top of me, a safe and protected feeling flowing through me, I briefly worry that I’ve missed out on years of this sensation. My blood’s pumping, carrying adrenaline and excitement around my veins as the heady mix of pheromones arouses my senses. Rav shifts his position, and I feel his lips on my neck. He’s as hard as I’ve felt him, and he’s sliding back and forth over my arse cheeks, grinding slowly as if to purposefully tease me. Every thrust forward pushes my hips into the soft mattress below, squeezing my own hardness against the bed sheets so I feel, once again, the wet and sticky patch that’s a sign of my sexual desire. He thrusts forward again, but this time his extremely hard cock catches against my hole, and I gasp out loud as pleasure rushes through my body. Rav seems to realise my intense enjoyment, for he pulls back and uses his hand to align his throbbing dick into the right position so that it’s pushing against me, tantalising me, with each forward gyration. I moan again as he reaches out and puts his arm around my throat gently; nothing aggressive, but just enough to give me an extra ripple of excitement. I can feel my cock dripping with anticipation as he continues to grind against me, my hole feeling wetter by the minute.

Portrait of handsome man lying naked on bed.
“You have to fuck me,” I groan quietly as I can’t bear the touch of his cock against me any longer. It’s not enough to have his throbbing head gliding slickly over my hole. I need it in me. I reach out to the bedside table where I’ve already got a couple of condoms out of their wrappers and ready to go. There’s nothing worse than being in ‘the moment’ and then having to spend a few desperate seconds fumbling with rubbers in a drawer. He doesn’t stop grinding as I’m pulling the protection towards him, and I momentarily dream of the day when I have a husband to thrust his bare dick deep inside me without any cause for alarm. Uhh, God. Just the thought of such a scenario sends a quiver through me and I moan again.

“You sure?” Rav whispers in my ear, though the speed at which he snatches up the condom makes me realise that his question is more etiquette than actual concern. If it was our first time, I probably wouldn’t fuck. Good fucking, for me anyway, requires a degree of comfort; something not normally found when sleeping with someone for the first time. But I’ve been with Rav twice before now and I’m more than ready to feel his beautiful brown cock pushing deep inside me.

Tams Review: 5 Hearts ♥♥♥♥♥

Short, Sexy and Steamy…. Wait for it… my three favourite colors!!

David is trying to juggle work, dating and being a rock for his two best friends in this third instalment of 52 First Dates. The opening scene for this episode will leave you breathless and sweating, it definitely starts out with a bang. Although David has already ruled Rav out as potential husband material, their chemistry is electric and I so look forward to their random romps throughout these episodes.

Trying to stay on task, David sets up his next date with an online hook-up, Matt. But meeting Matt is proving to be more of a challenge than David initially thought. Add to that a date that left him feeling hope that his little plan might actually bring him one step closer to his goal of finding a husband, only to have his dream snatched out from under him with an unexpected move. And then there are those pesky, sexy, twins that keep popping up on every street corner… Theo and Alex.

I absolutely love this series. With each new episode, Lusch builds a stronger connection between David and the reader. And David’s two best friends with their real life issues brings a reality to the storyline and ensures the plot won’t be all about the sex. So while there are some oh so sexy, spine tingling, toe curling scenes; there is content woven in as well.

Blind dates gone badly, bathroom hook-ups and two equally delicious and sexy men are leaving David, Seeing Double!

Cat’s Review: 4 Hearts ♥♥♥♥

In Seeing Double David has previously been on a few dates and is wearing down fast. It’s not as easy lining up actual dates as it is hookups and he is really having a blast with one of his hookups.  He is also dealing with work, a friend that was recently mugged and one that is pregnant, and two very sexy Greek twins

I find these stories fast, easy to read, very hot and yet interesting also. We are taken on a trip through a man’s life while he  juggles work, friends, dating and trying to find the one to settle down with, written in an interesting, humorous, hot and sexy way. I found this  very easy to relate to and yet entertaining.

If you like stories that continue such as serials that are short, sweet, funny, interesting  and very hot, searching for a life partner, Mediterranean men, teachers, Graphic designers, and Greek twins this is for you!

Review:  I haven’t read many stories with dragon shifters so I was pleasantly surprised with this find. I will start off by saying I got a little confused at first and it felt like part of another series, not a first book. So, I did a little research and found it is actually a spin-off of the Dark Reign series. After the first few chapters, it stands alone pretty well. Personally, I wish books that are spun from others series would say so in the front and have reading order and series numbers where they are easy to find.

This book is about Tia, the last female dragon shifter that has been in hiding and Bryn the king of the remaining dragon shifters and his consort and captain of the guards Loren. The story is good, but I found it a little confusing. I can’t say much about why I feel this way without giving spoilers. There was a little mystery but it came and went very fast. I wish it had unfolded much more slowly even if it made the book longer.

I really loved all the characters. Each held their own personality well. I found the sex very hot. I will warn you that the shifters do shift during sex and have sex in shifted forms. I actually loved this. I found it different and hot.

If you’re looking for something different to read and like dragon shifters, mmf ménage, Kings, reluctant queens, and very hot sex with shifted shifters this is for you!

Lisa’s Review: This is book three of this series and they need to be read in order. It gives you an insight into the characters and the story itself. It is an amazing series to read. I love the fact that Lyssa gives you such wonderful characters to fall in love with. It seems like each character has a pain from the past that they are going through.

In this one, Bryce had been attacked a few months prior and was scared to even let someone touch him. He had the help of his friends to ease some of the fears. However, he was afraid of even the thought of dating. So on the night he saw Daxton he ran from him. However as he was leaving he did look back to see the man with a lot of pain in his expression. He had to think of what to do. With the help of his best friend, he let Daxton in to his life.

Daxton was a prince of Sanzel, warrior and protector Mohar. However, Mohar had been hurting Daxton every time Daxton went against him. When he found his mate, he was full of happiness, but it hurt him when his mate feared him. With a lot of patience, he would get his mate to understand he is loved and protected.

He also needed to tell Bryce about who he is and where he is from. Now that is a funny story to hear. It had to take a healing from Daxton to prove to Bryce that he was telling the truth. Then the change came on and Bryce learned that the men of Sanzel could get pregnant. Could you imagine someone’s expression when they hear that a man can have a baby? There are many things that they have to talk about but the one thing that they will never have to question is the love that they feel.

It is an amazing story and I cannot wait to read book four. I have found another series that I have fallen in love with and am glad to have them added in my library. It will catch your attention from the start and will keep it all the way to the end. I would recommend this story if you love the paranormal worlds, two very sexy men, hot sex and a bit of danger involved. It has the perfect amount of all that and more in this book. I can guarantee that you will fall in love with it and the others. Lyssa has a wonderful gift at telling a story.

Eric’s Review: I found this book very delicious. I had never a Lyssa Samuels novel, but I loved this one to death. Couldn’t get enough of both Bryce and Daxton. I found myself able to identify with Bryce with how shy he was. We all have our inner geeks for something and it made me love Bryce as a character that much more.

I loved the solid plot as well. I cannot wait to read another novel by her. Her novels are fantastic and highly recommended.

Review: There was actually a good strong storyline to this. The title to me suggested humor but when I was done with it, I found it to be exhilarating. The great ties to the satyr mythology and the ways of the past had me intrigued. The more I read, the more fascinated I became. So interested I wished there was more to it.

This book is pretty good for a novella. I found it well worth the time and would highly recommend it.

Review: Albert is recovering from a stroke. His family tries to get him to try to get better faster but he refuses.  He has in home-helpers and has to deal with strangers and his seventeen-year-old nephew helping him with basic needs such as using the bathroom. He has never been married or hasn’t really dated much. He considers himself asexual since sex has never been a big deal for him. Now nearing fifty, he is alone. One day his sister makes him open a box their mother had left them when she passed away. It contains all his valentines from when he was in school and many memories.

Wow! I am a new fan of Jefferson Parrish. This was another of those pleasant surprises.  The title did not woo me in but I am so glad I read this story.

It’s a beautiful story that is unique that Albert was Asexual. He never acted on his feelings thinking sex was important to a relationship.   Unhappy little girls with hurt feelings on Valentine’s Day brings us back to the day when it was required you swap with the entire class not just a few chose friends. I remember those days and I do agree it should be that way now.   The girls eager to read their uncles valentines and ask so many questions and the meddling Seventeen-year-old nephew were so cute and funny.   I loved the cryptic messages in the valentines and the flashbacks to Albert’s youth.

This story has nothing to do with a pretty girl wanting to marry Albert. Grab a copy to see what Pretty Sally Couldn’t Marry Albert really meant.  You won’t be disappointed

If you love a sweet story of family, broken men, stroke patients, recovery, cryptic messages, Valentine’s Day and need a great short story to make you smile this one is it!
