Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden
by
Cheryl Headford
All Keiron wants is a quiet life. Fat chance with a boyfriend like Bren. But if he thought Bren complicated his life, that was nothing compared to the complications that begin when he opens the door to what he thinks is a naked boy claiming to be his slave.
Draven is a fairy with his sights set on the handsome human who keeps a wild place in the garden for fairies. When Draven slips through a fairy gate into the city, he sets in motion a series of events that binds him to Keiron forever, and just might be the end of him.
While Draven explores Keiron’s world with wide-eyed wonder, Keiron does everything he can to keep Draven’s at bay, until the only way to save Draven and bring him home is to step into a world that should exist only in children stories.

Blurb: O’Malley Ramsey, math aficionado, grew up next door to Garrison Rook, All-American athlete. While O’Malley dreamed of numbers and kissing Garrison, Garrison’s tastes ran to home runs and hot chicks. During a family celebration the night before both young men were heading off for college, O’Malley joyously discovers that Garrison isn’t quite as straight as the star athlete had been pretending to be. Vows to return to each other quickly followed a few clumsy kisses in the old treehouse in the Rook’s backyard.
O’Malley came home to Garrison. Garrison never returned to O’Malley.
Four years later, the two ex-friends meet up at a summer camp where O’Malley is serving as a counselor. Garrison is desperate to make things right with his childhood friend, but can O’Malley, still nursing the pain and mistrust of Garrison’s betrayal, ever forgive or love Garrison again?
Review: O’Malley had a huge crush on his next door neighbour Garrison, just before they both went off to college he thought his dreams came true when Garrison kisses him and promises that they can be together… but Garrison never came back.
Four years on and O’Malley is happy with the way his life is going, he’s serving as a counsellor at a girls Math camp when he’s stunned to see Garrison turn up, a Garrison who wants his forgiveness and a new chance at love.
This is an enjoyable story of two men trying to put the mistakes of the past behind them and starting anew.
I’ll be honest and say first of all that this book ended up not being my cup of tea, while I thought the storyline was good and the last part of the book was great a lot before that either annoyed me or just felt lacklustre.
First off I thought (based on timelines) that O’Malley and Garrison were supposed to be 22yrs old but based on how O’Malley acted in his own mind I’d say he was 16yrs old, Garrison I’ve given a little more leeway as he’s been struggling with his sexuality but his past actions still miffed me off a bit. O’Malley’s lack of empathy for Garrison’s situation really stuck in my craw and I wanted to tell Garrison he was better off looking for someone else.
Garrison is terrified of coming out and it shows in his actions, but I can’t decide if he really was gay like he finally declared or bisexual (he still liked sex with girls), I think that could have been handled better rather than just the final declaration that Garrison made.
I did end up liking both characters and the situation they found themselves in, but the story did seem to get drawn out for longer than it needed to in the middle. There is some excitement involving homophobes that adds a little action to the book and it ends up bringing O’Malley and Garrison fully together and Garrison more out in the open.
I’d recommend this story to those who love friends to lovers coming out stories, tension and conflict, a dash of angst and a very happy ending.
Blurb:How can you trust the man who tried to kill you?
Undercover cop Deacon Shepherd lost everything trying to maintain his cover – the man he loved and the future he craved. He walked away and never looked back because it was the only way to keep Rafael alive.
The last thing he needs is to be dragged back in that world, but an attempt on Rafael’s life is enough to make him risk his heart again.
Rafael ‘Rafe’ Ramirez wakes up in the hospital, the victim of a hit and run. He’s horrified when the first face he sees is that of the man who betrayed him and left him for dead three years before. Witness protection had stripped Rafe of his family and friends, and now it seems his sacrifice to bring his Uncle to justice was for nothing.
Someone wants Rafe dead, and the only way he can stay alive is to go with the murdering drug dealer who broke his heart. But how can he ever trust Deacon, and how can Deacon protect Rafe without falling in love all over again?
Review: This is another fantastic addition to the Heroes series and the characters are an excellent addition to R.J. Scott’s hot, sexy and dangerous men.
When Rafe tries to find the truth behind his mother and father’s deaths he discovers just how truly evil his mother’s family is, but as his uncle orders him killed he stares into the eyes of the man he’s fiercely attracted to, a man he wishes would help him… but who is the one holding the gun aimed at him.
Deacon is undercover trying to find the evidence to put some truly evil people behind bars for life when an innocent comes to visit, as Deacon tries to hide his attraction to the younger man he has to keep his persona intact… even if it means shooting Rafe and ending his life.
This is a great story that has unresolved tensions and an escaped madman hunting for the man he hates.
Rafe just wants the truth and for the man who caused his heartache to pay, but he falls head long into danger with no way out. Starting a new life knowing that the people responsible for his parent’s deaths are locked up or dead, helps him move forward but when the man who killed him turns up swearing to protect him he has no idea if he would ever be able to get past the fact that Deacon shot him.
Deacon can only pray that Rafe will forgive him and trust him to keep him safe, with an escaped madman wanting revenge and Rafe just surviving a hit and run ‘accident’ that Deacon doesn’t believe was an accident it would be hard enough but with Rafe hating the very sight of him Deacon knows he has an upward battle in getting the man to trust him never mind love him.
I really enjoyed this story and loved both Rafe and Deacon, both men are in a difficult position with Rafe not quite able to trust Deacon and Deacon hating the fact that he shot Rafe but knowing it was the only choice he had.
It’s not an easy journey for either man as Rafe has to try to find it within himself to forgive the man who both shot him and saved his life, while Deacon has to have patience as he protects Rafe again while trying to break through Rafe’s walls and get him to open his heart to Deacon.
This is quite an exciting story as Rafe’s pulled in all directions by his emotions and Deacon fights to break through the walls of the man he loves. R.j. Scott has yet again written a story that pulls you in and refuses to let go, we are treated to some amazing writing with interesting characters and a storyline that adds danger and love.
I recommend this to those who love stories that are filled with action and danger, who adore characters who soul search and discover forgiveness, who love two men falling in love during extreme situations, and a fantastic ending that has you hungering for more.
Blurb: When Hunter and Alex (formally Shawn) are given the vacation of a lifetime, it’s a chance for them to pay attention to romance and get out of the path of danger. The tiny Caribbean island of Saba is gorgeous, the first to have marriage equality, and the Sabans are the nicest people on earth. There’s lots of rum poolside for relaxing and a room with a mirror on the ceiling for passion. Hot karaoke nights, cold beer, and new friends.
Their new friends Orfeo and Max, and Max’s sister Talisha, confide a troubling secret, and, of course, Alex and Hunter want to help. As a hurricane bears down on them, a dead body surfaces, and then a purple backpack loaded with stolen jewels. The jewel thief Derek Boyd wants his boyfriend and his stolen jewels back at any cost and a Russian mobster wants his wife’s jewels returned…
Alex and Hunter’s vacation paradise just turned into hell on earth.
Review:This book is part of a series and must be read in order.
We first met Hunter and Alex (was Shawn) in Hitting Black Ice and now we re-join them in another action packed adventure when all they are trying to do is enjoy a holiday. Even though the guys thought the past was behind them it becomes apparent that not everything was tied off neatly when a surprising twist is revealed. Hunter handles the news badly and after Alex has a brush with a couple of dangerous bar customers they really need a holiday.
Their holiday gets off to a great start, relaxing and just being together while Alex catches up with childhood friends, but a couple of their new friends are acting suspiciously. The truth comes out and with a hurricane bearing down on them trouble heads their way, and Hunter and Alex take it into their own hands to protect their friends from the jewel thief who wants his boyfriend and his jewels back… and the Russian mobster who is determined to get his wife’s jewels back at any cost.
This is a fantastic story that has action and danger raining down on Hunter and Alex, try as they might they just can’t avoid it but they face the danger head on. Their relationship grows stronger and their love deeper as they face the trials that life throws them, it’s a bit of a bumpy ride but they come out stronger the other side with more hope for a future.
Heloise West has written a story that you are never quite sure what will happen next, it surprises at turns and has you eagerly turning pages as Nick and Alex’s adventures unfold… and yes it is an adventure because that’s the only way that I could describe their life together. I loved reading this book and losing myself in the story, it held my attention from the first page and while the ending is great I was still sad to have come to the end of the story.
I recommend this to those readers who love everyday guys stumbling across danger, who love a couple whose relationship grows at every turn, who love twists and surprises and the bad guys getting what’s coming to them and an ending that makes you smile.
The Earth is in a state of collapse, with wars breaking out over resources and an environment pushed to the edge by human greed.
Three living generation ships have been built with a combination of genetic mastery, artificial intelligence, technology, and raw materials harvested from the asteroid belt. This is the story of one of them—43 Ariadne, or Forever, as her inhabitants call her—a living world that carries the remaining hopes of humanity, and the three generations of scientists, engineers, and explorers working to colonize her.
From her humble beginnings as a seedling saved from disaster to the start of her journey across the void of space toward a new home for the human race, The Stark Divide tells the tales of the world, the people who made her, and the few who will become something altogether beyond human.
Humankind has just taken its first step toward the stars.
Review: The Stark Divide throws you into the stars as Earth races towards extinction. Humanity takes one last grasping chance to save themselves even as the world dies around them because of their stupidity, and even in the dying last breaths they continue throwing nuclear missiles at each other and condemning the entire species.
J. Scott Coatsworth has written an amazing science fiction novel that sends shivers down your spine because of the ring of truth to it.
The setting of the story is a living world/ship that’s an amazing combination of organic/technology with an artificial intelligence that is more than it seems.
The story starts from the very beginning of Forever’s life when she’s still a seedling and the amazing crew who first ‘plant’ her. The Dressler’s crew, Captain Colin McAvery, Anastasia Anatov scientist and creator of the seedlings (Forever) and Jackson Hammond ship’s engineer, have the important task of ensuring that the seedling is planted on an asteroid so it can begin growing so it can save a portion of humanity. The problem is something’s wrong with the Dressler and it’s a race against time.
The story then jumps in time with Colin, Anastasia and Jackson’s son Aaron meeting as Forever is being colonised for human habitation. It’s a fraught time as truths come out and Forever doesn’t forget grudges.
The final segment in the story is 30 years on from Forever’s birth, while Forever still isn’t quite big enough or ready for mass human habitation the Earth is failing, and refugees are flocking to Forever.
This really is an amazing story and while it has gay, lesbian and Trans characters I would actually say that this is a more mainstream story. There’s no romance and no one character to focus on, the story is about Forever’s journey with the stories of some of the humans who are important to her survival coming through.
The world building is absolutely amazing; we get to see a new world emerging through determination and survival instincts, we get to picture through the authors words exactly what a new world for humans might be like, living inside that world… it’s just amazing.
The characters each come to life, their hopes, dreams, fear, anger, desperation and shame comes through brilliantly, we are left in no doubt as to what the characters are going through.
This isn’t your usual science fiction story, there’s no danger other than that brought on by humans stupid actions, there’s no aliens racing to help humanity, there’s no devastating natural world event, there’s no nicely timed rescue of Earth. It’s a story of amazing ingenuity, characters connected by the beginning and shear survival instincts.
I recommend this to those who love deep science fiction stories, who adore a storyline that pulls you along in its wake, who love interesting characters, and an ending that is also a brand new beginning.
Blurb: Something is stalking the Aegyptian night and endangering the archaeologists excavating the mysterious temple ruins in Abydos. But is it a vengeful ancient spirit or a very modern conspiracy….
Rafe Lancaster’s relationship with Gallowglass First Heir, Ned Winter, flourishes over the summer of 1900, and when Rafe’s House encourages him to join Ned’s next archaeological expedition, he sees a chance for it to deepen further. Since all the Houses of the Britannic Imperium, Rafe’s included, view assassination as a convenient solution to most problems, he packs his aether pistol—just in case.
Trouble finds them in Abydos. Rafe and Ned begin to wonder if they’re facing opposition to the Temple of Seti being disturbed. What begins as tricks and pranks escalates to attacks and death, while the figure of the Dog—the jackal-headed god, Anubis, ruler of death—casts a long shadow over the desert sands. Destruction follows in his wake as he returns to reclaim his place in Abydos. Can Rafe and Ned stand against both the god and House plots when the life of Ned’s son is on the line?
Review: The beginning of this story wraps up things left unanswered in the first book and is somewhat slow. Afterwards we find Ned is going to Aegypt for his archaeological dig. Rafe is less than thrilled and even Harry, Ned’s son, is somewhat displeased.
Once at the site things become strange and start picking up. There were many twists and turns that added a mysterious element to the story. While some I figured out others surprised me. I truly like the characters in this story as they seem well blended and rounded.
My only gripe with the series is that is seems slow at times to the point where I would like to stop reading for a while. I liked both books but this one is better paced than the first one.
All in all a great read and continuation of the series.
Blurb: When Captain Rafe Lancaster is invalided out of the Britannic Imperium’s Aero Corps after crashing his aerofighter during the Second Boer War, his eyesight is damaged permanently, and his career as a fighter pilot is over. Returning to Londinium in late November 1899, he’s lost the skies he loved, has no place in a society ruled by an elite oligarchy of powerful Houses, and is hard up, homeless, and in desperate need of a new direction in life.
Everything changes when he buys a coffeehouse near the Britannic Imperium Museum in Bloomsbury, the haunt of Aegyptologists. For the first time in years, Rafe is free to be himself. In a city powered by luminiferous aether and phlogiston, and where powerful men use House assassins to target their rivals, Rafe must navigate dangerous politics, deal with a jealous and possessive ex-lover, learn to make the best coffee in Londinium, and fend off murder and kidnap attempts before he can find happiness with the man he loves.
Review: While I loved the concept of this story I felt it was way too slow paced. Some things needed shortening to appreciate the entire story.
I was a little taken aback at how easily Rafe sleeps with men. I realize he is trying to find his way after being injured in a crash and his career ending as a pilot but I thought he would have better discretion than he did given what his occupation and the time period was.
I really liked the twists and turns, action scenes and all around setup into what I’m sure will be a great series. I am looking forward to getting know the characters more. The story seemed a bit long winded for me though I did enjoy it somewhat.

Blurb: Find out how it all began for Peter and Christian.
Before Toby met Damon, Peter and Christian found each other on the internet.
Still in the army, Christian was inexperienced in not only BDSM, but sex altogether. Still, he has yearnings and furtively explores them in online chatrooms.
Luckily for Christian, seasoned Dom Peter recognizes Christian’s lack of experience and a kindred spirit in the man, and they take their conversations to text messages and Skype calls.
After Christian’s last deployment and only a few months before his discharge, he takes leave and visits Peter so the two men can see if they are as compatible in person as they seem to be online.
This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Review: I loved reading about Christian and Peter. These two were hot together. It was interesting to see how they got along when they me in real life.
Christian is a soldier yet shy about things. While Peter is sure and confident. I loved how even though Christian is shy he trusts Peter and is willing to try things. Peter pushes Christian’s boundaries but yet knows when to be just him instead of the Dom.
Blurb: The suspicious death of Dante Bartholomew’s wife changed him, especially in the eyes of the residents of St. Giles. They no longer see a successful businessman… only a monster they believe was involved. Dante’s horrific reputation eclipses the truth to the point that he sees no choice but to isolate himself and his heart.
The plan backfires when he meets counselor Beau Clarity and the children he works with. Beau and the kids see beyond the beastly reputation to the beautiful soul inside Dante, and Dante’s cold heart begins to thaw as they slip past his defenses. The warmth and hope Beau brings to Dante’s life help him see his entire existence—his trials and sorrows—in a brighter light.
But Dante’s secrets could rip happiness from their grasp… especially since someone isn’t above hurting those Dante has grown to love in order to bring him down.
Review: Dante is the beast of St. Giles. I hated that title as I did not see a beast. I saw a man in pain and all alone. Beau helps people, he is kind and caring yet thinks of himself as a beast due to a childhood accident that leaves him scarred.
Both of these men are in deep need of someone looking past what others think they are and seeing the men inside. I found these characters to be extremely intelligent and thoughtful. I loved how they helped each other throughout the story to see that they are more what they think.
They deserved to be loved as much as anyone else does. I thought the town was way too judgemental and had way too much time on their hands. if the people spent as much time on their own lives as they did spreading rumors maybe they would have been happier.
Blurb: Despite a life-threatening injury sustained in a vaulting accident, top gymnast Christopher Allen is determined to get back to his former perfect condition and compete again. Brian Rainings is a coach in need of someone to believe in, and he takes Chris on, admiring the spirit and determination that drives Chris to succeed. And admiring the sturdy, muscled body Chris maintains.
Admiration soon leads to something much hotter as they train together. From their scorching first kiss, Brian and Chris’s chemistry is obvious, but they have a long road ahead to get Chris back into shape. Months of hard work lead to success, with Chris gaining strength every day and finally finding the elusive sponsor he needs for financial support. Secrets, hidden dangers, and family troubles plague them, though, and they have to face the fact that Chris might never compete again and score that perfect ten.
Review: Chris’ determination to get back the way he was before his accident was awe inspiring. He did not let anything or anyone deter him from his goal. His coach Brian was a delightful distraction in all the right ways.
These two me helped each other in their struggles as they set on a journey of rediscovering yourself and achieving your dreams. I was cheering them on all throughout story.
The passion between them leaped off the pages for a hot read.
Blurb:After a scandal of Olympic proportions, Vince Dawson lost his job as a diving coach and is on a downhill slide. So when he sees Austin Brody at a local pool, diving like a trained athlete, he thinks he’s found his ticket back to the big leagues.
Austin thinks Vince is crazy for wanting him to dive competitively. He dives for beer and smokes, while working double shifts as a welder. Still, he’ll give training with Vince a shot.
But Austin isn’t willing to let Vince rule his life, and Vince—used to hopeful young athletes folding under pressure from him—finds Austin baffling… and hot. Even if they can work together and become more than friends, they still have a long way to go before they’ll be ready to compete.
Review: Ex professional diving coach Vince Dawson is down on his luck. When he sees Austin Brody diving at a local pool he thinks his life about to make a turn for the better. But only if he can convince Austin to start training.
Austin is a fly by the seat of your pants kind of guy and does not like rules. So this made an interesting story that much more to me. It amazed me how Vince and Austin made things work both professionally and personally considering how different they are from each other.
Blurb: Sometimes a third is exactly what a pair needs.
Stephen and Jack play a lot. These long-time lovers are constantly testing boundaries, fighting a delicious battle for control. When they meet young waiter Benji, they’re both intrigued. Such innocence doesn’t come along often and they decide Benji is the best thing on the menu.
Benji feels like he’s in over his head with this sophisticated pair, but it might be Stephen’s musical and artistic temperament that makes three a crowd. Can Jack and Stephen hit just the right note? Or will Benji end up out in the cold?
Publisher’s Note: This book has previously been released elsewhere. It has been revised and re-edited for re-release with Pride Publishing.
Review: Jack and Stephen have been together for a few glorious years and have decided to add a third to spice up their life for a while. Both are hot and sexy so when they see cute Benji they just have to have him.
There is a lot of sex in this story which is to expected. Benji learns a lot from these two men as the story progresses. The usual issues crop up where a threesome is concerned. The feelings of not being enough or less than to your partner are a part of it. I loved the way these guys talked things out instead of just jumping into it.
Blurb:Elliot is an up-and-coming architect who just opened his own firm—which is a lot more work and pressure than he expected. His partner, Graham, is a respected composer and conductor. They share their love and lives in a beautiful house designed by Elliot, and whenever things get too hard to handle, they retreat to their cabin getaway where Elliot becomes Dom to Graham’s needy little sub.
When things at Elliot’s firm begin to crumble, Graham needs to be the tough one, the one to suggest the cabin and the games they play there, knowing Elliot’s role as Dom will give him strength and that their games will recharge his lover. Together, they keep working to find that precarious balance in their lives—until an accident threatens to change everything. Elliot and Graham’s love faces its greatest challenge yet, and only the resilience they draw from each other can see them through hardship and keep the music in their lives.
Review: A look into the lives of two men, Elliot and Graham as they live, love and work through the bad times with one another. I loved how this story flowed. Through the good times and the bad, they were there for each other.
There is a lot of hot and steamy sex throughout this book that added spice to the story as it progressed. The interludes were hot enough to set the pages on fire.
The way Graham and Elliot interacted was almost like reading about two actual people. They made their lives work despite the many stresses on them by their careers.
Blurb: The truth is rarely seen on the surface, and getting to it might mean digging deep….
After a devastating accident and a long stay in the hospital, the last thing petroleum engineer Sean Wilkinson wants to deal with is the settlement the oil company tries to force on him. He’ll never be able to work in his field again, his education is all but useless, and his surgeons are pessimistic about whether he’ll ever walk again. He needs someone in his corner, but most lawyers take one look at his tattoo-covered father and turn their backs. It’s just Sean’s luck that the one attorney willing to give him a chance is also the hottest guy he’s ever seen.
As a trial lawyer, Nate Delany has a lot to prove—to his father, the world, and himself. Sean intrigues Nate, and he struggles to reconcile the gifted tattoo artist he can’t stop fantasizing about with the quiet, brilliant engineer. His investigation reveals facts left out of the accident report—including an illicit affair, greedy coworkers, and a vicious corporation that will do anything to protect its bottom line. When Sean’s life is threatened, winning Sean’s case, and his heart, becomes a lot more dangerous. . ISBN-13: 978-1-63533-687-0
Review: An intriguing read about Sean and how he copes after an accident leaves him in a wheel chair battling the company he worked for over a settlement. In steps Nate Delaney to negotiate the terms of the settlement.
These two men are not without their struggles in life but they grow closer amid a wide variety of suspicious things going on around them. I found both characters to be interesting. I liked the way they interacted with each other and others.
This story will draw you in and not let go until the very end. I enjoyed this story and it’s characters. Well written with the right amount of mystery and romance.
Blurb: THIRDS agent Dexter J. Daley can’t wait to marry his fiancé, Team Leader Sloane Brodie, but first he’s looking forward to celebrating his bachelor party—which he intends to be a shenanigans-free evening of getting his groove on with family and friends.
Of course events don’t work out as planned, but for Dex that’s nothing new. One thing is for sure, dodging drug dealers and hired thugs amid booze, dancing—and even a bear costume—will guarantee it’s a night Dex will never forget. Now he just needs to survive all the fun.
Review: Now normally I start off like this for each book I read that is involved in a series. Each book in the THIRDS collection features a different romantic couple, however that is not the case with this entire series. Most involve Sloan and Dex, but not all. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Wow, I have heard of many costumes, but never a gummy bear one. No wonder Dex could not resist. Too bad for him there was just a bit more to it. Here he was away from his soon to be husband, trying to enjoy his bachelor party with his friends and family. Boy does he miss his man. So add in a gummy bear costume, drug dealers, a crazy ass hit man/brother, and drunk agents and what do you get? One hell of a fun read.
So what does Sloan do while Dex is going crazy, well he is having fun with his dear old soon to be father in law. Now watch for the light in the sky or maybe smoke signals. I have to say that I actually started listening to these in audible form and not reading the book. Then I decided I needed the book, and damn if I don’t like them both. They are not only very entertaining but have some hot love scenes as well. Add in a little danger and some alcohol, and watch out for the party.
I had a lot of fun reading this and can not wait for the next book. I will admit that it did feel like I missed a book in this series somewhere. So I am going to go see what I am missing. I can guarantee that this is one book that you can not miss. It is a whole lot of fun mixed in with a bit of kinky guys.

Since then he’s found a kind of peace running a rural bar. The last thing Jake Tyler expects is his former team to turn up with grim news. Jake’s ex-brother-in-law has escaped from prison and is heading Jake’s way. The team is here to protect Jake, whether he likes it or not – a decision reluctantly shared by their leader, Jake’s ex-lover Mitch Mitchelson.
Mitch is angry and hurting. The man he trusted – the man he adored more than anything – abandoned both his team and Mitch. Jake never gave Mitch a chance to help or come to terms with his desertion. Regardless of mission protocols, Mitch isn’t about to open his heart again to that kind of pain.
But the strong attraction between them can’t be denied. How are they ever going to work together when Mitch still resents Jake’s disappearance, and to Jake, the team represents everything that destroyed him in the first place? And meantime they wait for Riley to find them… and to settle the threat once and for all.
Review: When I was first given this story, I wasn’t too sure if I was going to like it or not. There are some minor problems that I can see in the story, but other than that it was an enjoyable read. I always did love a man who carried a gun and who could kill when needed. This book gave me that.
Jake was a damn good soldier until his best friend murdered his sister. The problem was he just couldn’t get over losing them both. He left and opened a bar, to live his life grieving. He left the man he loved behind as well. However Riley swore that he did not kill his wife, Jake’s sister. Now he has escaped from prison and is heading Jakes way. So when the team walks into the bar, let’s just say things are not getting any easier.
Mitch is indeed angry at Jake, but his heart is still beating for the man he loves. He believes Riley is innocent, but he will protect Jake with everything in him. There are so many twists to this story that I enjoyed it.
There were a few issues with this story. It felt like it wasn’t finished and I am not talking about the ending. There were certain parts of the story that fell flat and thrown in there for word count. I felt bad for Riley, but there was not a lot of him in there yet he was the one that was considered dangerous. What really caught my eye, was these guys are some big badasses, yet all they did was sit at the bar waiting. There was no real action but a small part. The blurb gave me a promise, but the story fell flat. It had great potential and I did enjoy reading it. I can’t wait to see what the next book will be like.
