Review: Sweetwater is anything but sweet, ending with a gut wrenching violent streak, sexual abuse, questionable consent, and a happy for now ending. If you like your reading gritty, a true harsh reality and your lovers dark and brooding, here you go! Lots of BDSM content, and did I mention violence. Sweetwater made even me a bit squeamish. 

Sweetwater is probably a pretty accurate description of the life of an orphaned kid who parents died of disease on the wagon train out, taken in by the Doctor who saved his life, raised by a cruel community who believed him to be simple, Elijah is actually a very complicated individual who is trying to figure himself and his sexuality out. 

Elijah takes what he can get when it comes to his sexual attraction ad developing kinks. Violence and criminal activity push him into the hands of the kingpin in town, that is until a mysterious cowboy comes to town as part of the cattle rusting ring the town is aiding. 

I do really enjoy a little kink, some heavy handedness, and aggressive dominant sexual scenes, there’s plenty of that. But there is so much violence and truly questionable rape scenarios that are not balanced out enough with a protected/loved place for Eli for me. Too violent, too sad, and too unstable. Maybe I need more warm and fuzzy at the end of a violent sad journey. 

The narration is very good, the writing is actually excellent, and if you like dark and dirty, this is the book for you!

Review: Chris, Lasar and Nary are exploring their new bonded status with lots and lots of kinky sex. The roles have somewhat changed and Nary is learning how to be a Dom for Chris. Unfortunately while furthering their commitment to each other outside forces are getting in the way.

Chris, Nary and Lasar have to figure out who the bad guy is before things go too far. I loved the interactions between these three. I find the Alasharian’s to be quite interesting. It’s cute when Chris says something but they have no idea what it means. 

Suspense, action and mystery are all throughout this exciting sequel to Slave For Two.

Review: Crow finally decides to do something about his attraction to Shelton but while camping Shelton is kidnapped. I enjoyed this addition to the Wyvern’s series. Shelton is smart, kind, sweet and snarky. Crow is badass and possessive. 

I liked the action scene but felt it was way too short considering it’s a biker book. Other than that it was a great read.

Review: I love this author’s work, but I really struggled with these four in one stories. The blurb is what got me to choose this story. Yes, there is intense sex scenes, but the stories are just so unbelievable. Jensen goes to be tutored in Mathematics, because he’s very bad at the subject, and within less than half hour, he has a safe word and he’s in a Play room, being spanked and then have sex with his tutor.

Hitachi has been sent on assignment to pick up someone from the airport, who he’s never met before, and to drive him home. He’s invited inside, and Gabriel quickly starts playing with him, and they role play, and have sex.

Leo has always fantasized about hooking up and having sex with a stranger. He organizes a hook up and goes to this guy’s house, without knowing who the guy is. He is given instructions on what will happen between them. He gets treated roughly with vigorous sex, and then after, the guy reveals himself and it’s his Dad’s boss. He treats Leo like crap, and tells him that he’s teaching him a lesion.

With Timothy, he left his hometown as fast as he could when he was eighteen, but now he has returned home after his mom’s illness have gotten worse. He goes to a bar to relax and they he’s approached by someone, who invites him to a rodeo. He goes to the location, and he’s brutally beaten, he’s rescued by the owner of the building, and then they have sex. The only difference in all of these stories is that Timothy is the only one in his right mind to ask about protection before sex. 

I love this author’s stories, but I won’t be recommending this one to anyone.
