The Wulf Chronicles

(WulfChron 01)
by

Wulf Franco Godgluck

What if werewolves were real?
What if one of them was different?
What if you were a defective werewolf?

This is not the story of how one night I got bitten and my life changed. Nor is it the story of how I went on a savage killing spree that left me tormented with guilt and dread the next morning.

No.

This is the story of a boy, a boy who’s spent his life running from the shadows of monsters. A boy who never understood why the world hated him with so much odium. Why his mother would throw away her only life to protect his. Why he was never allowed to have friends. Why he never had the childhood every child should. Why he was never allowed to cherish happiness.

This is the story of a boy becoming himself, embracing his vulnerability and learning to accept and love.

This is a story about a werewolf, trying to find the answers to why he was born defective.

And maybe that’s the very reason I become the main course on the menu.

Devastated, Simon tries to push Alex away, refusing to tell him they were fated, but Alex keeps coming back, showing all the signs of a man drawn to his soulmate. Realizing he’s made a terrible mistake, Simon figures the only way to fix it is to be the man Alex wants because Alex is the man Simon needs if he’s ever to have a future.

Review: Each book in The Looking Glass collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

For many years Simon has been the keeper of the magic mirror. A mirror that showed one their true love, but for Simon it just seemed empty. He wanted someone to love him and a chance to finally be let out of his duties. Then in walks a man, who takes one look in the mirror and see’s Simon.

Alex owns a security company that protects buisness from shoplifters. He was out in his punk look searching for new business that needed help. He had not expected to meet Simon, a very sexy young man who definitely didn’t want anything to do with him.

This is a cute little story but it was also very long winded to me. I almost put the book down, because it just seemed like it was never going to end. There is a connection to the guys, but I just didn’t feel it like a reader should. I guess I could see why Simon was pissed, but the man acted like an idiot though. He knew his job, but he also expected to been shown, and it bit him on the ass, so to speak. He didn’t trust and was snarly towards Alex, but in the end it was pretty good. I just wished it didn’t seem to long a step to get there.

Other than my issues with this story, it is well written with a magical touch. It is also a very unique type of story that will draw a reader in and keep them captivated. I also liked the little twists that seemed to happen for one of the other characters. I didn’t much care for the story, but it is a pretty good read.

Review: This book was so good after I got used to way the sentences were phrased. I loved the background and the story about the two wyrs one of which wanted to travel to see the child he met.

The story became even more engrossing to learn about the curse Ewen and all those involved directly or indirectly. There was a great cast of characters that brought the story to life. As well as brilliant descriptions of the landscapes throughout.

My heart broke for Roi and Ewen and all they had been through and what was to come. I loved how fiercely protective Ewen and Roi were of each other. The amazing twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat as I never knew what was coming though I did figure who Fordels spirit was meant for.

Well written with the right amount of drama and action plus magic and love with were thrown in made for an outstounding read that I could not put down. I am so ready for the next book to see what awaits.

Fantastic read and highly recommended.

Blurb: The second Brenn saw Joey’s image in the magic mirror, he was hooked. The moment he saw him in real life, Brenn knew Joey was going to be his forever. Joey was flirty, and fun, and he had the most gorgeous smile, but then Joey told him he was dying. Though devastated, Brenn didn’t want to give up on Joey, so he offered to look after him and make his last few days as comfortable as possible, but was that going to be enough when all Brenn really wanted was for Joey to live?

Brenn was everything Joey could have wished for; strong, built, and with amazing eyes, and Brenn was in love with him. That would have given Joey something to live for, if it hadn’t been too late. He had about three weeks left, but that didn’t seem to matter to Brenn. Brenn wanted to take him home, and Joey was willing to go with him, but on two conditions. He wanted Brenn to make love to him before he died, but no kissing.

Purchase Link: Amazon US | Amazon UK

Review: This is book two in this series and they need to be read in order. Usually it gives you an insight into the characters and their world, but in this particular series it tells you about the mirror. A mirror that shows someone their one true love. Simon is the keeper of the mirror and he guides the ones who come stumbling in, not sure why but they do and gives them the answers. Brenn is not like anyone I have ever met. He walked into the store and Simon showed him the mirror. It shows him a young man that will be his.

He looks for him, and finds the sexiest man he had ever seen. However he realizes Joey is in a wheelchair, and then Joey drops the bomb on him. Joey is dying of a disease that no one understood and there was no cure. Brenn decides right then and there that he wanted this man for however long he could have him. He goes to the hospital and brings him home with him. He shows him the love that he has for him and helps him. He loves this man more than anything in the world, but it was tearing him apart to know he only had a few weeks with him.

Joey was falling in love with Brenn but he was so scared. He was scared because he didn’t want to die and he didn’t want to leave Brenn alone. He got so scared one night that he had called his friends to come get him, because he didn’t want to hurt Brenn even more than he already knows he has. What he doesn’t realizes is his very first kiss would be the man who can save him. That was the only thing he never let anyone do, he had never been kissed.

This story made me cry more than I have at any other time. I felt the pain that both of these men felt. The pain of losing someone that you love would tear anyone apart, and knowing that Brenn would feel this way when Joey died just about made me loose it. And Joey had been young and vibrant, a life guard at one time to find out that he was dying and none of the medicine or treatment would save his life. He had given up and was just waiting, but he looked at life around him like a child at a fare. He still saw goodness in the things around him. He wished that he had Brenn with him before he had made the choice to stop all the treatments, and now he was scared to try again. To know all that would break any ones heart.

I loved this book and I can guarantee that you will too. It gives you two very sexy men who love each other, tenderness, compassion, feisty young men, and a touch of pain, but in the end there is a happiness that will steal your breath.

I loved it and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this series. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading it and kept it all the way to the end.

Blurb: Finding your mate is supposed to be the best thing to ever happen in a shifters life, but what does one do when they are trapped in their animal form when that wonderful day arrives? If anyone knows, it’s Ireland, otherwise known as Spike the porcupine. What sucks even more… finally becoming your human self and seconds later causing a plane to crash with you and your mate on board.

Flyer has always worked alone. He doesn’t understand mates or shifters, and right now with the crash taking his sight, he doesn’t have time to think about it. He has to focus and trust in Ireland to be his eyes, guiding him through mountains and wilderness as they try to escape falling into enemy hands, and hoping they can make it out alive.

Mates must stay together, work together, and be a team. Flyer sure hoped this was true, because their lives depended on it.

Review: Each book in the Eternal Flames collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This story is also connected to the Eternal Flames Maddox series.

Ireland is one cutie pie porcupine. He just wanted a taste of the outdoors, away from his home, but what he got was a nightmare. He was stuck in his shifter form and had found his mate. A mate that didn’t recognize him being a shifter, heck no one recognized it.

Flyer was the best pilot they had and he absolutely loved it. His time in the military was good but they figured out that they had a traitor somewhere. Now he was where he was in life and it was going good. He just couldn’t figure out one little porcupine that followed him everywhere. He is really going to be in shock soon.

I do not remember in all of the books I have read having a porcupine shifter, and lets just say that I loved it. Fascinating story with unique characters and plot. It gives you danger, excitement, adventure and some pretty hot sexy times. Flyer needed his ass kicked but a porcupine spike works just as well. I get a kick out of this series and I hope that it continues on.

I had a blast reading this and will admit that I read it multiple times already before writing the review. I loved the guys and their counter parts. This is one series that will be read many times more and I would definitely suggest reading it.

Blurb: Marc’s straight, always has been and thought he always would be, but when he’s shown his true love in a magic mirror he’s shocked to find out his true love is a man. Not only that, it’s up to him to convince his true love they’re meant to be together. All bad enough, but after finding Liam, the only way he’s able to persuade Liam to go out with him is to offer him sex — even though that’s something Marc’s definitely not ready for.

Liam thinks Marc is crazy. Marc’s straight but he’s talking about true love and making a life together. Liam doesn’t believe in love and he certainly isn’t going to fall in love with a crazy straight guy regardless of how sexy he is. But he hasn’t reckoned on Marc’s pushy attitude or his offer of sex which, no matter how much he knows he should, Liam can’t turn down.

Purchase Link: Amazon US | Amazon UK | Smashwords

Review: Penny Brandon just blew my mind. This story came off so possible and real that I was amazed with it. Well not the looking in a mirror and being told about a true love part but the difficulties that Liam had with it. He didn’t believe in love and never dated any man. He just had hook-ups and right after wards he left them.

His mother had loved his father, did everything the man wanted even though her husband, his father did everything he could do to destroy her and her love. He would not leaver her but he cheated on her at every turn. Liam had tried everything to get his mother to leave, but wouldn’t. He knew that to love someone would place your self in the path of being hurt. He would not take the chance ever.

That was until a man comes up to him and tells him of a story. A story that made him think the man was insane. Marc tells him about walking into a store and looking in a mirror and being showed his true mate. The fact that Marc was straight also made him wonder if the man shouldn’t get help. But he realizes that Marc is serious. The problem was he did not want to hurt this man.

Marc knew what Liam thought about what he had told him, but he had to take the chance. He had to show Liam that he could and would love him. He found out why Liam didn’t believe in love, so he sets out to show him and prove to him that he could have it.

This story absolutely blew my mind. For so long I believed the same thing Liam believes. That love doesn’t exist, but in this story it shows you how it can happen and that it does happen. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book in this series. It captured my attention with the first sentence and kept it all the way to the end. Once you read this, you won’t be able to wait till the next book. I can guarantee that once you read it you will fall in love with these two men as I have. It gives you two sexy and quirky men, tenderness, a fantasy, excitement, adventure and a love that will draw you in.

Review: After witnessing the death of hismother Niel is on the run. He has no clue who he can trust but when Mal is thrust into the picture he feels a connection and trusts the man to keep him safe. Mal has been happy with his existence. Meeting Niel has thrown a curve ball in his world but he does what he can for the man.

Trying to stay safe while at the same time trying to get a feel for each other Niel and Mal struggle.

It’s to be expected given the circumstances. I liked the story and the overall feel of it. The danger element was gripping. Mal and Niel’s backstory were gripping.

Although there were a few unanswered questions I still enjoyed the story. Mystery, suspense, danger and romance are in abundance in this book.

Great read.

Review: A cute, sweet story of two men who come together despite the obstacles they face. I loved Ronnie and Officer Andy. Though the reason Andy is there to begin with was heartbreaking. Thugs throwing homophobic slurs is no way to enjoy ones day.

These guys are hot together.

Review: I was unsure about this book but took a chance on it anyway and boy am I glad I did. So much happens in this story that left my head spinning but I understood why. It’s a setup for the rest of the series. The different characters introduced throughout had to have ample amount of time for the reader to get a grasp on what is going on and the role each character will play as the story continues.

I loved Liam’s character. He had been through so much and yet has even more to go through. All the secondary characters took my breath away with the roles they played and how things came about. I don’t want to give too much away but this was truly a fascinating story.

Twists and turns that leave your head spinning and you thinking what else is going to happen.

Though I understood why Patrick did what he did at the beginning I also knew Liam would be pissed when the truth came. Who wouldn’t be. I thought Patrick’s ability was interesting.

I loved how all the characters are somewhat connected to events and people that took place many, many years before. It’s almost as if it was destiny that all these people met in this lifetime. A truly wonderfully written story with plenty of details, action and some romance.

I am looking forward to reading the next installment to see what else happens.

Highly recommended.

One day a young dragon named Prince Grian slipped aboard the Sun Dragon ship and traveled to Earth, while on that same day, an Earth Dragon named Caden snuck away from his village. The two met and fell in love, but both were killed in battle.

The Artists, creators of the universe, were furious about the death of these true loves. As punishment, they erased the Sun Dragon race, banished the Bone Dragons to Draman, and put the Ice Dragons in the North Pole, where they could not harm the Earth Dragons. The Artists declared that the dragons would remain cursed until the true love between Grian and Caden was born again and they reunited all dragons in peace and harmony.

Years later Prince Grian is reborn, and it is up to him and his godparent, Skelly, to find his soulmate on Earth. Review: I did not read the previous books in this series due to some having f/f in them. With that said while I enjoyed Grian’s adventure in finding his so called soulmate, making plans to defeat Shull, an evil dragon wanting to do away with all dragons so he can rule the universe and change the artist’s creations the actual romance aspect was seriously lacking.

First we are introduced to Blair, a female bone dragon, who Grian thinks is his soulmate. They kiss. Ewww. I am an m/m reader only so I was unhappy with this development and as such I withdrew from the story.

Next is the introduction of Caden, Blair’s brother, this back and forth of love interest irritated me. I was glad it only happened once but it ruined the entire book for me as I felt the main character did not know what he actually wanted even though he says he is gay.

So overall we have a character on a journey to stop an evil dragon from destroying his people and taking over the world.

It was an o.k. read for me.

So, he’s delighted when he arrives at his first elven gathering and meets his other half. Cadlyr can leave the Cwylld and enjoy a prosperous life. Review: Wonderful addition to the D’Vaire series. Cadlyr gets the shock of his life when he see’s his mate at a elven gathering. Two thousand years have passed since Evlithar faked his death so he would not have to be mated to a Cwylld. Cadlyr being mad was an understatement.

These two had so much to discuss and learn about the other once Cadlyr actually listened without anger. Ev’s life has not been all roses. He’s a slave to his cousin’s mate. That woman pissed me off. She was spoiled, petty and rude. Ev was expected to wait on her hand and foot. When she learned Ev was going to make a go with Cadlyr she whined. Then expected him to spend all his time with her when she was pregnant.

It was a wonder Ev and Cadlyr mated at all. What with all the guilt trips and angst going on. But with the D’Vaires support and caring attitudes they show both Calyr and Ev what it means to be aroud a loving family who does not abuse you.

I really loved this story. I felt for both Cadlyr and Ev. They were both young when they found each other and should have really talked. But Ev takes matters into his own hands denying them both to thousands of years of happiness. Communication is the key to make a happy life.

I cannot wait until the next story. Highly recommended.

Review: This was a strange story to read for me. Wish City was not what I expected it to be. It was a bizarre mix of creepy and grungy. Sera is promised great things after his death but ends up in Wish City. Sera himself has awesome abilities to do anything with his mind.

Fiend, I really have no words to describe him or what he is. He eats brains so a zombie? He sets his sights on Sera only to be attracted to him. I loved all the characters and their unique abilities.

Good read and entertaining.

Review: In a world where humans are trying to survive after catastrophic disasters there are sanctuaries where you can go to be protected. But beware these cities are not what they seem.

Maddox is in charge of Sanctuary Hope. I found this name ironic because from what I read there is no hope only servitude and despair for those Maddox deems not fit.

Vincent goes into servitude believing his group will be taken care of. but unbeknown to him Maddox is only using him to stop Vincent’s uncle. The act that turned me against Maddox’s character to begin with was him imprisoning Vincent’s nephew and using him before he ever talks to Vincent. This young man had not done anything wrong so I was pissed at Maddox. I felt he lied to Vincent from the beginning.

We will see if Maddox can redeem himself in my eyes but I doubt it as I cannot stand the things he’s done so far. I feel sorry for Vincent and the life he in is store for with someone he will not be able to trust.

This is a dark tale full of deceit and manipulation. I am hoping for a better understanding of why Maddox feels the need to treat people as he does when they come to him for help and pledge a person into servitude so the rest of their family are safe and why it seems that it did not apply to Vincent or his group.

Interesting read.

Review: I was anxiously looking forward to this story coming out after reading book five. I wanted to know more about Albrecht and if my suspicion was correct. I was happy to say it was but it was also so much more than I ever thought. I loved learning about Albie’s past as tragic as it was. Vann’s past however I suspected after the first couple of paragraph’s of this story.

It as still a wild ride with all the sentinel’s, fallen knights and the new mystery surrounding the three resurrected warlocks. I love this series so much. Drama, suspense, mystery, action and love all packed into each well written story.

This is one of my favorite books in the series so far. I loved reading about Albie and Vann. This couple was definitely done so wrong and for a disgusting reason as homophobia. I was incensed at the way they were treated especially Vann. You’ll have to read the story to find out what I’m talking about as I won’t spoil what happened.

Heart breaking yet joyous is the emotions that come front and center when looking back on this story. I felt so bad for what Albie endured for a very long time. My heart wept at the injustices done to him and Vann yet at the same time I was happy and thrilled with the end of their story.

I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

Highly recommended.

Review: As with the other books in this series a lot is going on. Alaric is trying to live life after the unexpected way Chander left him. Secrets are slowly revealed that could threaten the council. Chander takes it upon himself to set the sentinel’s free and as a result he is in danger of loosing his leadership.

So much more happens in this riveting series. But I do have to say I am more intrigued by the four sentinel’s found secreted away in the sentinel compound than anything else. I have a suspicion that the black skeleton is either the first sentinel made or the sentinel that supposedly went on a rampage centuries before.

I really enjoyed the books in this series except for two things. One, they are long and drawn out and repetitive at times. Two, there is hardly any action in them. Aside from these things the books are awesome.

Great read.
