Review: Tad, an angel of death, is stripped of his wings and sent to live on earth as punishment for helping when he should not have. Here he meets Doug and the two form a strong friendship. But everything has a consequence.
I love how this story evolved. The characters were all engaging as each changing scenery occurred. I love books where you can not guess each and every outcome and this was no different. There were many twists and turns that took me by surprise, which delighted me.
I loved the different scenarios that happened when something minuscule changed. This was a great story, well thought out plot with amazing characters that added life to the story.

He has to convince Jericho that he isn’t leaving town, that he is serious about their mating, and keep Jericho safe from two shifters out to end him.
Review: It as a day of many bad surprises, okay maybe not all of the surprises were bad. Jericho overheard his uncle and another planning to bury a body. He has also found his mate, and man is the man not sex on a stick. His very male mate and boy did he not want to tell his uncle. He was afraid that the man would get on his motorcycle and run away as fast as he could.
Ben and his best friend needed to take a break from riding. But his luck has changed, he has found out that the sexy bunny shifter is his mate. A mate that is definitely freaking out. To find out that Jericho’s uncle was the one that hurt him but also the dead body, well Ben wasn’t going anywhere.
You have a small town with noisy neighbors walking in, someone always stealing your food, pretty cool characters and danger in these stories. The problem was that they are following pretty much the same pattern. Big wolf shifter, small bunny shifter, danger and so on is just a bit to used for me to truly love the story. Other than that though it is still entertaining.
I enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading the next book.

Review: In the continuing saga of the viking warrior’s being sent out to protect a prophesied druid from the fae it is Fritjof’s turn to find Wylie. He travels to the Amazon and discovers more than he bargained for. Hell bent on keeping his distance from Wylie all while protecting him becomes impossible.
Wylie is a fierce young man who laughs but yet hides his pain behind said laughs. The two get off to a rocky start as they both try to hide how they really feel for one another. It takes being attacked by Wylie’s niece’ father, a fae and him kidnapping her, for them to realize that they need to own up to their feelings if they have any hope of rescuing Tess.
I loved everything about this story. This series must be read in order as each book picks up where the previous one ends with a new couple in each addition. I’m excited to see what else happens in this thrilling series.

You basically get the lives of four men in this story. Dafydd and Ric as well as Malcolm and Brenin. Dafydd had been held for close to four hundred years by a monster, whereas Brenin had been held for months. Dafydd had also been forced to have babies with the monster. He had even killed one of the twins to save one of the men trying to save them. He had wanted to die but was forced by the doc to survive. He was just now getting around to trying to be a father to his latest baby.
Malcolm knew that Brenin was still having troubles with what had happened. He just didn’t have a clue how to help him. Ric was in the same boat but with Dafydd using pills with alcohol. Neither man knew what to do to help the men they loved.
I don’t really know what it is about these stories that doesn’t do it for me. However if I had to guess it is the dark side to the stories. The BDSM doesn’t bother me too much but I don’t really need it in any of the stories. I think mostly it was the fact that it was about four men instead of just Ric and Dafydd. They seemed to be thrown back for parts of the story. The mates come off shallow and immature when they shouldn’t be. It just made the story a bit harder to get into as it should have.
I hate to admit that the same dark tone is what is making me change my mind with this series. I just can’t seem to connect with them. It was fine to read but I can honestly say that it will only be read once.

Review: Ezra is a broody vampire who has had a long life of doing things he did not want to. Add to that he know is expected to take over for hi dying father on the council but not unless he has a mate, which he does not want. Until Declan enters his life. He brings a joy to Ezra he never felt before.
But alas, problems from others threaten the couples happiness and Ezra is determined that no one will pull them apart.I liked the story. It was a typical vampire story with action, suspense and romance. The only thing that I did not like was all the sex scenes but that was to be expected, sorry just not my thing to have so many, I just skipped them.
Engaging and entertaining read about two men just trying to live their lives in peace with one another. I enjoyed all the characters throughout this lively story.

How to Howl at the Moon is the first book in Eli Easton’s series, Howl at the Moon. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, Easton is not an unknown author to me and I’ve always enjoyed her writing style. I can’t think of a book that I haven’t either liked or loved. The thing that I wasn’t sure about was the shape shifting part, as I don’t think I’ve read anything by Easton that involves paranormal themes. However, all these concerns were for nothing. Other than an excellently written book that was easy to follow and had be completely engrossed from start to finish, this was a really different take on the whole shape shifter thing. While it wasn’t dark and gritty, this is a rather light hearted series that is great to read when you don’t want to go full angst, this was a creative and unique look at how shape shifters come about. It’s fascinating because I love that the creation/emergence of shifters gets a back story. To put it simply, that is really cool.
The story starts with Sheriff Lance Beaufort, from the little town of Mad Creek nestled in the Californian mountains. He, like his father and grandfather before him, protect the town from any threats and discovery by humans. Lance and much of Mad Creek are called “quickened” or “quick”. A quickened is a dog, an actual pet dog, who was so loved that they received the ability to shape shift, becoming half man and half dog. This transformation is called receiving the “spark”. Lance is a third generation quickened, which means that he was never a pet, instead he was born with the ability to change.
For Lance, life is not smooth, trying to help the newly quickened as they arrive in town, and adding the danger of discovery caused by humans with increasing drug trade Lance is on alert. When a new human moves into town, Lance is concerned especially since he appears to be an adept gardener. Despite his physical attraction to the man, Lance can’t do anything with the human – not until he sure that man is not growing and distributing marijuana. But the other obstacle of having a human around, until there is complete trust Lance cannot betray the town and his family and reveal the secret of the quickened.
When Tim Weston moves into a house in Mad Creek, looking for a safe place to regroup. After losing the rights and trademarks of the hybrids he had created from the boss that he had trusted, he has nothing and the opportunity for free rent while working on new hybrids is an enticing offer which he takes. He likes Mad Creek and begins to fix things so that he can start creating his hybrids. The problem is that when he arrived, he attracted the interest of the sheriff and not in a good way.
This is a totally unique story and a lot of fun. The characters have a bit of a slow burn chemistry, but they are also completely endearing. Loved this book, can’t wait to move onto the next book.

I loved Lance and Tim together even though Lance screw things up at first by deceiving Tim. This story is about a misunderstanding leading to investigating an innocent man and the antics of several characters that lead to anger and an attack by people who have ill intent.
I loved everything about the story. It progressed beautifully. there was the right amount of sexual tension, shyness, frustration, humor, and suspense to make for a well written book that fully immerses the reader in a quaint little town and it’s inhabitants.
The explanation behind quicken was intriguing to say the least. I loved all the characters and am looking forward to getting know more of them as the series continues.

Review: Steven is a sweet innocent young man and had the best brother ever. When his mother was pregnant with him she had been using and it left him a little bit slow. His brother always watched out for him. However when a man asked him out after some ice cream his little life was about to get more interesting.
Derek owned most of the town but never truly flaunt it. He had an idiot for an ex that seemed to want him back and a weasel for a cousin. Now he has found his mate. He is falling in love but danger is just around the corner.
I really liked the characters quite a bit but the story felt like it was lacking something to make it stand out. It had the same old ex who wanted revenge or his man back theme which is a bit old to me. However other than that it was pretty good and I can see it being read many times over.

Review: Colton has found his mate and his mate has a boyfriend. Colton is a seahorse shifter and works at World of Aquatica. He hadn’t always lived there but when he was eaten by a squid well he took that as a sign. Now he loved it. All he had to do is to figure out how to get his mate to leave his boyfriend.
Waylon is a big beautiful man with a big heart. To bad his boyfriend is a possessive jerk. However when he through a fit at Waylon’s work it seemed a good idea to dump the asshat. When he say Colton while out on a date things were starting to get a bit strange, just wait till he finds out why.
Charlie has always been an amazing author and her stories just keeps getting better. I loved the idea of a seahorse shifter and the story just about rocked my world. The only problem is that they are so short that leaves me wishing for more. I could have done with out the possessive jerk and his friends, but they made the story a bit stronger I would say.
Now I can honestly say that these are stories that will be read many times over. In fact they make me want to go read the whole series once more. I get a kick out of them and this was no different. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Review: Declan has a decision to make after being asked to spy on a rebellion group and discovers his friend and secret crush, Trovic, in the group. He begins to question everything he know as well as growing closer to Trovic. I loved this story.
Filled with twists and turns as well as a learning lesson for Declan in a time where magic is considered dangerous and there are those that would kill to get rid of it permanently. I really liked how the story showed the struggles Declan went through as he tried to figure out what was right against what he had been taught.
Declan and Trovic together had a history of secret crushes and growing up in foster care together. Now many years later meeting again on opposing sides they follow their hearts.

Review: Saved by His Demons is the second book in Camellia Dawn’s Under Demon Rule series, it is also the second book by the author that I have read. I’ve been looking forward to this book after enjoying the first book, as well as getting insight to who was going to be the involved into the next book, and I really wanted to know what was going to happen next.
While I can’t say that this was a totally awesome and amazing book, I still found this quite enjoyable and I’d be more than happy to read any more additions to this series. This is an MMM book where the thruple is two demons and a human. You have one reasonable demon, one demon that has a protective complex that keeps him from claiming his mate, and one human who is a lot stronger than his demons realise.
Like the first book in this series the plot is quite simple and so I don’t want to go into too much detail and spoil the plot.
Ervyn was found, pretty much dying, by demons a little over four years ago. The demon who found him, Bishop knew that Ervyn was his mate when he saw the broken human and decided that he would break the man if he ever claimed him. Bishop kept this knowledge to himself but four years later Ervyn now knows that his attraction for the demon is more. Since he has been rejected from the man destined to be his mate, Ervyn has decided that the best course of action is to move on with his life. Which brings him to a club where he meets Mykel, another demon who also happens to be Ervyn’s mate and a demon that wants to claim him. To Mykel, finding his mate is his every dream come true. But with danger taking Mykel on a dangerous scouting trip and Bishop so angry that he doesn’t see that Mykel is also his mate, the trio are in for a rough ride.
As I said, over all this was an enjoyable book. The guys are interesting, distinct characters and like how they fit together as a thruple. I particularly liked Mykel and Ervyn, although I also liked Bishop I found him a little to brutish and pig headed for my liking. Review: Each book in the Council Enforcers collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This series is connected to the Whitedell Pride and Gillham Pack so I would suggest reading those first.
Ten years ago Nate’s little brother had been kidnapped and killed. He was still missing him to this day, boy is he in for one hell of a surprise. He was a forty-two year old man who owned a bar and had a bad back. He was not a catch in his eyes. However he has had his eyes on one sexy Nix that comes into the bar.
Pryderi left his family and people behind four years ago. He had not wanted to stay and mate with a female just to have a child and keep his parents happy. He has found his mate and wasn’t to sure how to tell him. He had been rejected by his parents and his brother didn’t truly want anything to do with him. That is until he gets a call, his brother had been abducted close to a month ago and he had not known.
Nate has issues with his mate doing the job as an enforcer. He still felt the loss of his brother, even though his brother is back, but he still was scared. Damn these two really need to learn how to communicate. I always am intrigued by the world this author creates. They just make it seem like you are right there with them and are kicking ass right along side them. It is a pretty fascinating series to get hooked on.
I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to see what the next book has going on.

Review: Mr. Fluffkins, and is that not a funny name, is not what he appears. He is a beautiful black cat who had some amazing owners. When Sam disappears Mary Ann goes through a period of sadness and all Fluffkins knows is he has to find Sam. He is a black cat that has a human brain. What he doesn’t understand is that he is a shifter. When he gets lost, then taken by a drunk, runs away only to be found by a shifter, things start looking up. However he did like the name Sam had given him, Dillan.
Rhys is a weretiger who couldn’t tell an old woman no. He decided to try and find her lost cat. However things are starting to get real weird. Especially when he finds Dillan in his human form with a tail and ears.
First thing I am going to say is that you have to get through most of the story before the guys even find themselves together. Then once they meet, well sex is on. For someone who spent his life as a cat, it seemed a bit rushed. Then there is the fact that you never find out what the dream he had meant, nor do you find out how he ended up where he was. It didn’t keep my attention as well as it should have and left questions that had no answers. Plus it ended with a cliffhanger, a no go for me. I hate books that leave me hanging.
Other than that it was still pretty good. However a lot of things that were in the story made the story feel drawn out and could have been left out to make the story stand out better. Overall it is a good story and I look forward to seeing what the next book has going on. Hopefully we see a baby and a new romantic couple.

Review: Harvey has found his mate. He was just enjoying the park as he walked to work, when he smelled the best scent. The scent led him straight to a little bunny. When the bunny shifted into a very sexy young man, well you can imagine Harvey’s shock.

Harvey is a special type of shifter and very unique. I always love those types. This story is actually connected to another story so I would suggest starting with it. The name of that story is Fates, Mates and Apple Turnovers. This is part of what I would call a series but so far they are listed alone.
For such a short story there is quite a it there. I would definitely say that this is one of those stories that will be read many times over, it is just that cute. It is a very cute little story with just a bit of danger in it.
