Review: This is Raiden and Dayo’s story. Jealousy, evil intentions and love are all abound in this addition to the The Harvest Young series. I felt so bad for Dayo. It seemed everyone was either jealous and wanted his mate or they wanted revenge for what his mates fathers decisions.

Raiden definitely had his works cut out for him trying to keep his mate safe. Though that was not always possible. I liked the way this couple interacted with one another and talked.

The overall feel to me of this story is that something was missing but I was never quite sure what. Other than that I loved it. It was an awesome read.

Review: This story is a sequel to Darkest Hour Before Dawn. With these stories they must be read in order to get the full impact of these stories. They are action packed that will keep you entertained through out the whole thing.

Dex and Sloane are getting married. However as everyone knows Dex just seems to attract trouble. From the moment these two met, things have been a struggle. Dex runs into Sloane on day one, and for some reason it just catches them. Sloane fell in love with his eyes, but because of is loss, he was fighting it the whole way. Four years later, and it is time to tie the knot. They have fought for what they deserve and now we are here to celebrate. To bad someone wants to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Hudson is almost abducted, but Maddock was not as successful. Dex will do everything to get his father back, with his little brothers help. However they get bigger help from Wolf. Sparks past comes to bite her in the ass, but now she looks just a bit more softer. Her relationship with Maddock is on the rocks. But through it all, family is family, and they have each others back.

With many books where the characters are not changed, things get dicey and a bit boring. Too much of one is sometimes old. However with this series, that doesn’t happen. It is as exciting and makes your world rock each and every time you read it. Although with this series, I didn’t read the first book but heard the audio. Lets just say it caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. That is the way it was with this book as well.

There are some major twists to this story that will shock you all. I was quite surprised to find out who was behind it all. What was interesting was it gave me hope that there will be more love stories in this series, or at least one possible couple I saw in it. These two are perfect for each other. There is nothing about this series that I didn’t love. It is one of my ultimate favorite stories and Charlie Cochet has become a favorite of mine. She has an imagination that will keep one fascinated and entertained.

I enjoyed reading this and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. I would definitely recommend it.

Review: Filo has been in space for quite some time. The blurb is really kind of off. In the story it says Filo, and three others. He is not exactly human but more like he was created or engineered. He was a fighting soldier, but had no taste for blood. So he asked to be put into space to work. Luz is sexy as hell and wants Filo, even tried to walk around naked to get a reaction. Now with it being Claus Day, he knows how to make it work.

This was not one of the stories I would have chosen for the holidays. There were parts of it that were off which made it hard to work out. It also starts off really dry and dull, and now I know all about space stations. Then it comes to naked men, and yeah just really bizarre. It was not my kind of story and did nothing for me. The ending was really nice, but I just don’t see how they get from one point to the steaming want in the end. I am sorry but this book was just not for me.

Review: This is the first book by this author that I have read and I do hope they turn this into a series. It has been one of the best mysteries I have came across in awhile. There are very few authors of mystery that catch my eye with their stories, but this one did just that.

August was sixteen when he first was contacted by a deceased person. He was able to locate their bodies and bring them home. After awhile the police decided to keep him on, even if he was not going to get paid for it. Not all of them were dead, but most were. It left him many times in a dark place. The man he had loved had cheated on him with his best friend, leaving him not wanting to connect with others. Cherry was the only one left. Well except for the two detectives who he helped for over five years. One of them was drop dead gorgeous also.

Luke is one of the best detectives at the station. Him and his partner were the ones that helped August out. He had been married once and lost her, but now his heart was slowly leaning towards August. With all the deaths and beatings going on, he knew he had to keep August safe. When one of the living victims keeps Augusts attention, they find a new and surprising direction. The past comes pretty much back to circle.

This was a fantastic read, and I have to say that I didn’t expect the killer to be who they were. Although I will also say, that the way the person acted kind of gave you pause. It was pretty cool though and I loved the guys together. I didn’t care for one part of it, which was Oliver’s part. However I was glad to see in the end he even got a good ending, sort of. This story caught my attention from the start and I just couldn’t put the book down. The plot is super tight and very unique.

I had a lot of fun reading this and can’t wait to see the rest of this author’s work. I would definitely recommend this book.

Blurb: Life as an immortal might seem like a dream come true, but for Tular, the God of Death, it was frustrating. His fellow Gods insisted on getting involved in the mortal realm and mucking things up. It didn’t help that love never seemed to be in the cards for any of them. So, when he felt a pull to the mortal realm, he was stunned to find himself drawn to a human of all people.

Joren didn’t know how much more he could take before he fell apart. The Paranormal War had killed his parents, destroyed his home, and left him devastated and unsure about his future. But it was as he sat there praying, his entire world imploded, for he opened his eyes to find the most terrifying man in the universe standing there staring at him – The God of Death.

So why did Joren want to curl up in the God’s arms? More importantly, why did he find himself desperately wanting to be kissed by him?

Review: Each book in the Paranormal Wars: The Gods collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. In this case this series is a branch off from Paranormal Wars: Stone Haven and Paranormal Wars: Juarez. I would start with those series first.

A war has been started, nuclear bombs were set on innocents, just because the Psy paranormals wanted the others eliminated. Thousands died and for what, power. Joren has lost his family and so many innocents, but his heart leads to forgiveness when others want revenge. His prayers lead the God of Death to him.

Tular is the God of Death and damn if he is not pissed off. Human’s caused problems and killed each other off. The Gods decide to create the paranormal’s to even it out, but it only causes more death. Now that death has led to thousands and thousands of innocent victims. He is pulled into the mortal world and leads him into his future.

The scrolls say that life began when the threads separated, and searched for each other. Paranormal’s were given mates, so one should expect the gods to be given too. However their heads are shoved so far up their own asses that they do not believe. That is about to be proven wrong.

Fascinating story with just a hint of dark tones to it. Pretty unique names given to them as well. I liked the danger and excitement that these stories have in them, but this one needed a bit extra kick to it, which it did not have. Other than that, this story pretty much rocked. I am not sure about being mated to the God of Death, but figure it was a perfect beginning to a new series.

I enjoyed it quite a bit and look forward to watching the other Gods go down, so to speak. It is a very fun story and I can guarantee that you will enjoy it also.

Review: Tanks life takes a turn when he is thrust into a secret alien base. Not one who is new to the strange Tank learns that everything he thought he knew was wrong. I liked the story. It has all sorts of twists and turns that delve further into the aliens and what they are up to.

The aliens themselves are not that different from humans. You have your good ones and bad ones. The slave ships were horrifying for the humans they had captured. These things were mentioned but not in deep detail.

Overall I found the characters in the story complex at times yet intriguing. They all added to the story in some way or another. The biggest shock was about Tank himself. But, I won’t spoil what all happens for the readers. Needless to say it was an adventurous, action packed, and mysterious story that captures your imagination and attention from the start.

Good read.

Blurb: If Sūnder Alārd was born female he would have been cherished for being faeborn—born with magick—and his birth celebrated. Instead, his L’fÿn mother insisted on his death. Only his Panthrÿn father’s desperate escape through the forest saved him.

With most Chándariāns uneasy in his presence due to rumors he is doomed to become a darksoul, and unlikely to find a mate because of it, Sūnder has nevertheless carved out an honorable existence as a warrior and commander. Serving as a bodyguard and chaperone, Sūnder accompanies the Chándariān prince to the annual mating festival on Earth, and when the prince is injured, he can’t help but be fascinated by the tongue-tied nurse who attends them at the hospital.

At sixteen years of age, Gabriel St. Baptista came home to discover his parents had taken off into space, leaving him behind to look after himself. Gabe never recovered from the unexpected desertion, and keeps everyone at arm’s length to avoid the pain of being abandoned again. However, after meeting Sūnder, Gabe finds himself unable to resist the bond between them and breaks his carefully crafted rules to spend time with the Chándariāns, regardless of the fact that Sūnder will soon leave. Scared by what he feels for Sūnder, Gabe can only hope his heart won’t be too broken when Sūnder returns to Chándaria.

But deceit and treachery surrounds them both, and when Gabe saves Sūnder’s life, it sets off a chain of events that could either tear Gabe and Sūnder apart… or give them both exactly what they want.

Review: An amazing story of deceit, betrayal and secrets galore. I absolutely loved Gabe and Sūnder. Sūnder’s story is so sad. His mother at birth wants to put him to death for being a male as faeborn males are supposedly dangerous. Gabe for his part never knew his heritage.

This is a carefully woven story with a lot of twists and turns and many factors coming into to play that simply fascinated me. I was intrigued by the many species and their roles throughout.

I absolutely hated Talia, Sūnder’s mother, she seemed like a spoiled brat who gave no thought for anyone’s well being except for her own. The lengths she went to achieve her place were despicable to say the least. I felt so bad for Sūnder for the way she treated him throughout.

I am so looking forward to reading more about the characters already introduced and seeing how they all turn out as well as the dealings with the aftermath of the faeborn males.

Highly recommended.

Review: Now normally I start off like this for each book I read that is involved in a series. Each book in the THIRDS collection features a different romantic couple, however that is not the case with this entire series. Most involve Sloan and Dex, but not all. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Wow, I have heard of many costumes, but never a gummy bear one. No wonder Dex could not resist. Too bad for him there was just a bit more to it. Here he was away from his soon to be husband, trying to enjoy his bachelor party with his friends and family. Boy does he miss his man. So add in a gummy bear costume, drug dealers, a crazy ass hit man/brother, and drunk agents and what do you get? One hell of a fun read.

So what does Sloan do while Dex is going crazy, well he is having fun with his dear old soon to be father in law. Now watch for the light in the sky or maybe smoke signals. I have to say that I actually started listening to these in audible form and not reading the book. Then I decided I needed the book, and damn if I don’t like them both. They are not only very entertaining but have some hot love scenes as well. Add in a little danger and some alcohol, and watch out for the party.

I had a lot of fun reading this and can not wait for the next book. I will admit that it did feel like I missed a book in this series somewhere. So I am going to go see what I am missing. I can guarantee that this is one book that you can not miss. It is a whole lot of fun mixed in with a bit of kinky guys.

He’s been paying for Aki’s services for two years, both the psi and the sexual kind, but he wants more from the companion.

Shane needs Aki’s ability to see into another person’s past to track down a serial killer murdering the children of rich and powerful men, but the more they work together, the clearer it becomes that they are linked through a darker past than either of them realizes.

Review: An alternative reality, where society has gone through World War II and the US is divided into North and South, with scientists experimenting on human DNA to create clones, and super soldiers, concentration camps, and many societal horrors are the backdrop for an unusual romance.

Each character is fascinating in a way only sci-fi can make them. Aki feels safe in his home, The Hidden Gem, working as a high end prostitute/companion. Sure beats living on the streets, starving, abused and rejected without much of a glimmer in his memory of his true past. Not only does he now live a plush, protected life, as a companion Aki is limited to oral sex and hand jobs because he can’t touch or be touched without a barrier due to his sci ability. But that’s also something he desperately craves, the companionable touch of a lover, Shane in particular.

There are so many characters, and each one piques my curiosity, especially Paris, but I think that’s a whole new book. Candy is one of my favorites, because each MC needs a bestie. The different characters including the owners of the Hidden Gem, and the investigators, and people from Aki’s past all have so much more to mine…lots of back story and so much possibility. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of the support characters.

On top of Aki’s drive to control his mutant abilities, he has to confront and understand his past, so that he no longer needs to live in fear of the future….one he hopes can involve a certain strong, sexy Irish detective.

The narration is really good, sometimes the distinctions feel over the top, but it makes each character very clear and I love that. The sexual content is hot, right up until…..well. I’ll save that surprise. I can’t really tell a lot more about this book without dropping so many spoilers.

If you love a little mystery, action, and science fiction with your MM romance, you’ll love Hidden Gem!

Dalí Tamareia has everything—a young family and a promising career as an Ambassador in the Sol Fed Diplomatic Corps. Dalí’s path as a peacemaker seems clear, but when their loved ones are killed in a terrorist attack, grief sends the genderfluid changeling into a spiral of self-destruction.

Fragile Sol Fed balances on the brink of war with a plundering alien race. Their skills with galactic relations are desperately needed to broker a protective alliance, but in mourning, Dalí no longer cares, seeking oblivion at the bottom of a bottle, in the arms of a faceless lover, or at the end of a knife.

The New Puritan Movement is rising to power within the government, preaching strict genetic counseling and galactic isolation to ensure survival of the endangered human race. Third gender citizens like Dalí don’t fit the mold of this perfect plan, and the NPM will stop at nothing to make their vision become reality. When Dalí stumbles into a plot threatening changelings like them, a shadow organization called the Penumbra recruits them for a rescue mission full of danger, sex, and intrigue, giving Dalí purpose again.

Risky liaisons with a sexy, charismatic pirate lord could be Dalí’s undoing—and the only way to prevent another deadly act of domestic terrorism.

Review: Kallen and Lando’s plans are put on hold when revelations are made that could be the start of war. A technomage of great power is hellbent on destroying lives and gaining power. The symbionts are still mysterious with one yet to appear.

I absolutely love this series. Mystery, adventure, danger, romance and everything in between. I love the relationship between the symbiont and its host. I hope to learn more about them in the coming books.

Fantastic read and highly recommended.

Review: Another exciting addition to the series as more explanations are given in regards to the dragon race. Someone attacks the royals. Some characters are lost and Lando is gravely injured.

The mystery deepens as to who ordered the attack as most evidence is non-existent. Kallen still searches for answers as revelations come to the forefront. I love this series. I am always on the edge of my seat as I read each book.

I read all three books one after another. It’s a fascinating series filled with danger, deception, romance, action and mystery.

I highly recommend this series.

Review: Lando is faced with finding his prince a cure for whatever is slowly killing him. He brings him an egg he found on a dead planet. What happens next blows everyone’s mind when a dragon hatches and merges with the prince healing him.

This story is riveting, amazing, spellbinding and outstanding. I loved this book. I was blown away by how well this story entranced me with its complex explanations as to who the dragons were. The symbionts fascinated me to no end.

I’m looking forward to learning more about everything.

Highy recommeded.

Aiden is a man in a woman’s body. His dream is to fly to Aquarix where the elusive Fluens–the only species capable of changing his life record and physically making him a man–reside, and for years he’s been working at a seedy brothel in Solarias to save enough money to make that dream a reality.

Lydo, the prince of Teresias, has spent his youth leading his father’s army and avoiding his responsibilities on his home planet. On brief leave during a dangerous mission, he stops at a brothel and acquires the services of a feisty young prostitute who insists Lydo refer to her as a boy. Amused by the girl, the prince pays her way to Aquarix.

Aiden is euphoric at his transformation, but Lydo is more than a little disconcerted by the fact he is attracted to Aiden as a man.

When it’s time to part ways, Aiden fulfills his second dream by taking a job on a spaceship. Resigned to step into his expected role on Teresias, the prince returns to his homophobic planet. But as the king parades princesses before his son in hopes of a betrothal, Lydo finds his heart remains with a certain adventurous boy somewhere out in space.
