Review: The boss was a total jerk, they get trapped in an elevator, and suddenly they can’t keep their hands off each other?

Compromising Situations is a bit hard to get into, I really tried to grab hold of this story and have some fun with the BDSM element, but it was a bumpy ride.

The writing and dialogue seemed rough, not a natural flow. For those like me, who like to read a bit of kink, this little story may also fall short. Jared and Grant begin to play master/slave games, but in the office, the salve rules the master…or does he…

The sexual scenes could have been so much kinky fun, but felt forced and not in a good way. Compromising Situations has potential, but I think I’d put this one on the bottom the TBR list with so much quality BDSM writing out there.

Review: In Last Line, we meet John Griffin and Michael South who are both agents in a black ops type counter terrorism unit. They are incredibly close and live a very dangerous life. John Griffin is gay and has definitely fallen in love with his partner but unfortunately, Michael doesn’t feel the same way. They still manage to be an incredibly efficient team and work extremely well together.

Someone from Michael’s past comes back to haunt him and all of a sudden he is reliving his life as an undercover agent in Russia. Unfortunately, that undercover assignment involved torture and mind control, which leaves Michael struggling to separate past from present.

Last Line was a hard book for me to read, mainly because I hated knowing that Michael had lived through such torture in his past. The mere fact that he cannot find sexual pleasure without pain really bothers me, as he seems like a gentle soul underneath all that brawn and bluster. There are elements of fantasy in this book that were not really explained and I found myself wanting to know more.

Extraordinary healing ability and a psychic bond between Michael and John made me wonder what sort of world these men really live in.

This is an intense story that really makes you think. You have characters with depth and a meaningful history together. You have a mystery when people from Michael’s past come back with threats of dirty bombs and their ability to control Michael’s behavior with very little effort on their part. You have an innocent in the form of John’s younger brother who I really need to learn more about in a future book!

Overall, Last Line is an amazingly complex story with well-developed characters. I hope that there is a sequel that explains a few of the book’s mysteries and gives us a closer look at Michael and John’s developing relationship.

Review: This was the third book to this series and they should be read in order. It gives you an insight into their world and their lives. It is a fascinating story except that it did nothing for me. It left me with more questions and less answers.

I was rather disappointed in this book. Usually for me books get better as the series goes on or they seem like they are just copying things. For me this book just felt like it was repeating everything. The dangers, the BDSM parts, the sexual scenes just seem off. This story did not come off as believable. I was rather disappointed in it.

Easton had been with the wild wolves for over a year but he knew he didn’t want to be with them. The problem was that it was like being in the mob. You can’t get out unless you are dead. He had been captured by them when his mate saved his ass. The thing was he wasn’t too sure, whether he wanted a mate or not. Although Trip was sexy as hell.

Trip was one the enforcers for Kade. He also was hired to cull the wolves, actual wolves, and not werewolves. He had found and saved his mate, but there seemed to be more going on then he knew. Although in truth, he was the one that was hiding things from everyone including his alpha.

This story was a drag for me. It just seemed to repeat things, and then there were parts of the story that seemed pushed in there. Like it would have one scene then all of a sudden it switched to another and kept me trying to figure out what was going on.

I did love the characters and the story itself would have been perfect had it had that zest that most stories have. It just seemed that this one was not written with the authors heart put into it. It was missing something for me to love it.

I did love the characters though and the way it would have turned out had that zest been there. I would recommend reading this if you love sexy men, hot sex, the BDSM life style, danger, excitement and the twist and turns to it.

Blurb: With the legal trouble behind them, Daniel Caplin and Rafael Argon are ready to settle into a low-key D/s relationship, but life is unrelenting, when blackmail shatters their illusion of happily ever after. Pictures from one of the Rafael’s public scenes instill fear into his new submissive, Daniel, acting as a wedge driving the new couple apart.

The building peril in George’s community weighs heavy on his shoulders as he struggles to find the culprit—all while hiding his feelings for his new house guest. Jesse is torn between ending his marriage, picking up a rebound he should have left fifteen years in the past, and the dangling carrot of a possible relationship with a man. He is forced to fight for what he wants most, a leap he may be too chicken to take.

In the sequel to Legally Bound, George battles to take down an unknown enemy, while watching helplessly as those he cares for are broken beyond repair. Can Rafael and Daniel rebuild their trust after it’s broken with lies? Can George hold it together as Jesse is ripped from his life?

Review: In the first book, I really didn’t like George until the very end. In this book, you get a much deeper dive into all things George. And I will say my mind has totally been changed and I am now a George fan. He and Jesse together are perfect. Jesse is the only person in these books that has been honest and has ‘stood up to him’. George loves that Jesse treats him as an equal. George really opens up to Jesse in this book and becomes vulnerable which makes him more human. Their love story has the potential to be life altering.

Elliott (one of George’s slaves) plays a bigger role in this book and there was a bit of foreshadowing for the future of this series I’m hoping.

I still love Daniel and Jesse’s banter…

(Jesse to Daniel) “Sounds like gibberish to me, please explain in my native tongue, not freaky speak.”

(Daniel) “What does asking nicely involve?” He shot Jesse a look. In his wildest imagination, he couldn’t imagine how the two of them were friends, or what the daunting king of the underground was like in private.
(Jesse) “I’m guessing me on my knees begging, but let’s be honest, I’m not above it. I’ve done worse for a bendy straw.”

These 2 really make this series for me. I still don’t really like Rafael. I thought maybe that would change once he and Daniel were free of the mess from book 1 but I still don’t. He doesn’t seem to be great guy and I think Daniel deserves someone who treats him better.

There was more of the S&M of BDSM in this book which I don’t care for but I was able to gloss over that and still keep up with the story ok. It was pretty critical to the story toward the end of the book so it’s hard to begrudge it.

And of course, the ending leaves me not so patiently waiting for book 3, which has the potential to be the best of the series.

Reviewer: Thommie

Review: This review might contain spoilers, but they are necessary to make my points come through.

Unfortunately I did not like this story, thus I will simply go directly into enumerating what went wrong with this for me.

Shane, MC; Son of a Reverend working for a drug dealer whom he actually loves as a friend for being always there by his side, listening to his troubles, smoking weed together, and using him as a mule…

The fact that he expects to be acknowledged, picked up, helped and God knows what else from a complete stranger made me dislike him with a passion. But when in the next paragraph, he seems to be a naïve and sheltered young man with complete lack of sexual experience with men I was baffled. There is no way around it.

This character’s personality seems to be all over the place, not settling one way or another. He is a virgin in “gay sex” yet he wants to submit to a strong, big, black man. I didn’t know what to feel after one point beside complete lack of interest and strongest belief of a totally non-plausible character profile.

Onward; I really disliked from the start how everything the “stranger” aka Julien, MC #2 did or didn’t got compared with Gus, and while at the beginning, I had the impression Gus. The comparison got so frequent and annoying that I reached a point where I was screaming “If I read “the stranger reminded him of Gus” one more time I’ll delete this damn book from my drive” and while it made sense later on, it still was too much to handle. Repeating something over and over again does not make it appealing.

Further, down my review I will mention the infamous line of this book “he was not allowed to be gay.” It was yet another thing that got repeated so much it caused frustration. As for Julien himself, I found a very cliché type. Rich black guy, leather daddy having a thing for twink longhaired blond…

The plot in general got me a headache from the start. If I thought, the MC’s profile was unrealistic and all over the place, it went double with the backstory.

Revision time: the stranger picked him up and asked him “Do you want to come with me boy” at which point Shane replied “yes” and the stranger picked up both their c#%$ and started stroking. A few minutes later the stranger shot in Shane’s face… which ignited his orgasm making him come at said stranger’s suit jacket…

Now, either this stranger has some seriously supernatural jumping sperm, or someone forgot the setting of this scene. Or… ah, I don’t know, it simply didn’t make sense to me. Likewise, many more things were out-of-place and continued to cause my incredulity, and all this during the first few chapters.

Moving on things like: “he wasn’t allowed to be gay by the Reverend,” yet his hair was long like a girls continued with the ambiguity. Wouldn’t the Reverend had Shane cut his hair in the first place? Shane is supposed to be brilliant (hence the need to continue through his education) yet in his brilliant mode the kid becomes a drinker, drug addict, smoker, and a mule for a drug dealer whom he loves like a father yet has had some sexual related thing with as well. Not to mention the rundown with a complete stranger.
Ah, the frustration!

There are so many, so many details that just drag this entire read down, making it unbearable to read through, tiresome to the point you want to skip 70% of the book. The need for a polishing up and cutting down the pages/details is needed like water to fish for this title to be worth the time, let alone the money.

And there is the whole white skin-black skin fetish. If one can call it a fetish, I don’t know what the PC terms are in this case. What I know is I’ve felt the thing myself. It’s quite a thrill seeing the contrast between two people’s skin in this scale. Somehow it makes you go all yin/yang, black &white, opposite attract, meant to freak be etc. The brain goes under strange chemical reactions when you see your white skin right next to a black one. Honestly, there is a huge psychological thrill going on the background of an interracial relationship.

Here however you don’t get to feel all that. Without wanting to be rude, the way it was portrayed it made me feel somewhat sick, because it was related strongly with the idea “big black guy going to punish slim innocent white boy with his big black c@#$.” It might have worked in a porn-like scenario in an erotic short story or even novelette, but when you see the big picture here and the amount of things going for these characters and their profiles… Whoa! And I mean Whoa! It is too much!

Anyway, I can go on and on about how much work this book needs. I’m repeating myself yet I can’t stress enough how much cutting is needed here. As it is I didn’t like the book, didn’t like the setting, didn’t like the characters, didn’t like the plot, didn’t like the fact that secondary characters took so much space, didn’t like the continuous sexual innuendos from females who by the way were NOT attracted to boys, it was rather obnoxious.

I also didn’t like the inner-thoughts. Keep them hidden and show them to us through actions of the characters. Too many dialogues over everything and nothing. An over the top attempt into trying to be mysterious and enticing with hints at key players and secrets of the past that ended up burdening the story, making the lines flow slower and slower with every passing page.

I could go on… but I’ll stop here and wish this book withdrawn, re-envisioned, edited and re-edited, but mostly cut in half (at least) and out in shelves again.

You will notice how I don’t mention anything about the sexual scenes and anything related to how they were written. It will suffice to say that everything related on that department did not in fact appeal. I’m known to like titles BDSM related, and anything to do with corporal punishment, explicit sexual torture, and/or forced seduction.

This book, while it falls under some of these sub-genres, is badly written in my opinion. so much so, that the writer needs serious research on this area, the lifestyle in general, and the way certain events create patterns into someone’s life and psych. Being half assed and trawling through these genres without proper research or experience makes the book fall flat. I’m pretty sure too many kinksters and people who live in D/s relationships would feel offended by the manner their erotic lifestyle is depicted here.

Shorty’s Review: ♥♥ 1.5Heart

Shane used to work for Gus, a drug dealer, before he decided to leave. But not before stealing some drugs and a motorcycle. The Reverend, who is Shane’s father, is a bigoted jerk and one nasty piece of work who were constantly telling him he’d go to hell for his wrongdoings and for being gay. I found this book confusing at times, because the author would jump from one thing to the next without an explanation.

The bathroom scene between Shane and the stranger seemed highly unbelievable in the fact that no one is going to let someone they don’t even know their name tell them what to do in a sexual situation. Especially when the so-called stranger completely ignores Shane and gives snide comments when Shane tries to talk to them. While asleep on the beach, he is attacked and beaten by thugs for no reason in my opinion. There is a lot of talking about sex in this story and Julien is into BDSM.

The sex scenes in this book seem more like forced or coerced sex than anything consensual. Unfortunately, when I read a book that starts off confusing or jumps from topic to topic with no warning then I lose interest immediately and usually have to force myself to finish it if it’s a review book. This book has some violent scenes in it in my opinion. I normally wouldn’t have chosen this author’s book to review, as I’ve never read her books before. After this one I probably won’t read another one, but was asked for a second opinion on it. This story just didn’t appeal to me at all, nor could I finish it.

Review: This is part of the Sir Series and should be read in order. Each story talks about a new romancing couple. It gives you an insight into their amazing world and their lives. I was fascinated with this book and cannot wait to get my hands on the future books.

I always thought that books with BDSM in them were more about controlling someone in such a way that made it feel like they had no say in it. However, this story shows me that it was not the way I thought. I am glad to have read it and even gladder that I found it more enticing then I have many other stories. I fell in love with the men in this story and would love to hear more about them.

Jackson was a gorgeous man who seemed to be taken advantage of. He was never sure of what he wanted, that is until a very sexy Dom came up to him. He didn’t know what to make of the way Michael seemed to control him but then wasn’t too sure if he liked it or not. All he knew was the time apart, due to miscommunication tore his heart out.

Michael had fallen in love with Jackson the moment he saw him. That was the major part to, that he saw Jackson for who he was not just his looks. He however realized he had made a mistake in how he started the relationship and now he had some serious thinking to do to get his sub back in his life. Not to mention keeping him safe from a so-called best friend that wanted to keep him away from Michael. Now all he had to do is to show him that in controlling him, he was showing Jackson that Jackson was the one in who was really in charge.

I loved this story and can’t wait to read more from Stormy. It was an amazing story and I had a blast reading it. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading it and kept it all the way to the end. It gave me everything I could possibly want in a story. If you love the BDSM scene, sexy men, dominate men, quirky subs, feisty attitudes, a bit of danger and happily ever after than I would recommend reading this story.

Review: Cody feels hurt and betrayed after Tony tells him that Tony and Jake were together for three years. Cody leaves and drives for a while until he’s too tired and checks into a motel. He wakes up as someone handcuffs him.
Very well written book. Cody should’ve talked to Jake but then again Jake should’ve told Cody the truth as trust is very important in the BDSM lifestyle.

Very kinky scene to get Cody to listen to what Jake had to say.

Great read.

Blurb: The way to a man’s heart is on a sleigh.
Arthur Anderson doesn’t want anything to do with love and romance, and he certainly doesn’t want to play Santa in his mother’s library fundraising scheme. He knows full well what she really wants is to hook him up with the town’s lanky, prissy librarian.

It’s clear Gabriel Higgins doesn’t want him, either—as a Santa, as a boyfriend, as anyone at all. But when Arthur’s efforts to wiggle out of the fundraiser lead to getting to know the man behind the story time idol, he can’t help but be charmed. The least he can do is be neighborly and help Gabriel find a few local friends.

As their fiery arguments strike hotter sparks, two men who insist they don’t date wind up doing an awful lot of dating. And it looks like the sleigh they both tried not to board could send them jingling all the way to happily ever after.

Warning: Contains a feisty librarian, a boorish bear, small town politics, deer sausage, and a boy who wants a doll.

Review: I always knew that librarians were sexy, and Cullinan threw in some kinks for fun! This is a fast-paced read full of details and drama. I always love the challenge of turning a cynical man into a love-struck ball of passion and Arthur Anderson fits that bill!

This second Minnesota Christmas tale fits right in with the language, lifestyle, and atmosphere of the first. Small town, both broad and narrow minds, traditions, family and a mischievous mother are all part of the sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking plot to bring Arthur and Gabriel together.

Don’t let the glasses and kids’ story time hero fool you, this small town librarian is a lusty one, but he’s in denial of the kinky side of his passions. Arthur may think he needs big strong one night encounters, but what he doesn’t know is that Gabe can handle whatever Arthur dishes out, and they may have much more in common that what lies on the surface.

There are a few small town stereotypes complete with anti-gay bashers, but even Arthur is guilty of stereotyping. He first overlooks Gabriel as weak, snobby, over educated, but one encounter at library story time open his eyes to how important Gabriel is to this town, and thus to Arthur. What starts as Arthur’s mom’s attempt to save the library budget, quickly becomes Arthur’s pet project, but can it become more?

So much great entertainment is crammed into this wonderful story! I’d be amiss to overlook the very sensual scenes, where Cullinan whips out her kink writing skills. A bit of D/s, a bit of consensual non-con, a little rough trade, and a lot of chemistry!!!!

I highly recommend this read, and not just for the cold winter months, but for hot winter nights!!!!

Review: Jake is promoted and he and Cody hardly see each other anymore. Unable to handle feeling like he’s been abandoned, Cody says some hurtful things to Jake and vice versa and they breakup. Feeling lost Cody does research online about being a submissive then goes to the club.

Heartbreaking how Cody struggled to get Jake’s attention to no avail, then to breakup. But, glad Cody figured out what he needed and convinced Jake of wanting to be with him.

Hot sex scene between Jake and Cody added spice to the story.

Great read.

Gar isn’t looking for a permanent sub. He had fun playing with Brian but didn’t realize Brian wanted more. The past haunts Gar and he isn’t sure he can be what he thinks Brian wants. He isn’t into giving pain.

I really liked the storyline. We have to learn more about Brian and see more of Geoffrey and Paul. I would have liked more on the characters. Overall, it was an intriguing story and I want more.

If you like Domination and Submission, broken men, a good romance with some pretty hot sex this one is for you.

Blurb: After repeatedly warning Cody of consequences for his bad habits and behavior, Jake administers discipline. Afterwards, he takes Cody to his club for the first time both to display his Dominance and to show the handsome Cody off to his friends.

Public display is one of Cody’s soft limits, but Jake pushes his boundaries a little and they arrive at the club. Jake looks dark and dangerous in his leathers, exactly like what Cody imagined the Marquis de Sade must have looked like as he led his victims into his dungeon rooms. Cody can feel the sweat popping out on his brow, but he trusts Jake and allows him to find a table and join friends, where Cody sees an example of just how the “perfect submissive” should act. Confused, conflicted, and consumed with jealousy, Cody feels like he is so far out of his depth he’s drowning.

Worrying that his own ability to fit into the lifestyle is sorely lacking, Cody fears Jake’s heart may be forever beyond his reach.

Review: Jake punishes Cody for his bad habits. Then later takes him to a BDSM club. Cody doesn’t really want to go but he agrees to please Jake. At the club, Cody feels overwhelmed and nervous, as he’s unsure of what a proper submissive is supposed to do or say. After Jake gives another Dom permission to dance with him, Cody gets uncomfortable watching Jake dance with another sub. Unable to take it anymore Cody uses his safe word to stop everything.

Well written with a spanking scene and some hot sex between Jake and Cody. I really felt for Cody at the club trying his best to please Jake but not wanting to be there at all. Maybe Jake should have explained what was expected of him at the club so Cody would’ve been better prepared and more at ease.

All in all, it was a great read.

Blurb: By pulling on his leathers and entering Cuffs, the BDSM club he frequents, Holden MacKay can leave his life in Blackwater Falls behind and become “Bobby,” a masochist and sexual submissive. The pain he craves soothes something deep inside him and makes him feel alive, and the role he plays in the club enables him to fully connect with his sexual self in a way he never could with traditional sex.

But when Holden meets the aloof and sexy Dom, Sloane McClain, there’s something about the man who reaches in and grabs him right through the excesses of alcohol and drugs Holden normally indulges in.

Could this man be the mate he’s waited for, but thought he’d never find? Holden needs to figure out if what he’s feeling is real, or if it’s all just wishful thinking. But he has more secrets than just his name, and too much to lose if anyone discovers them.

And when someone begins killing the Doms Holden plays with and dumping their bodies outside Blackwater Falls, he has to act not only to find the killer and protect his secrets, but to save the man he’s beginning to love more than his own life.

Review: Handsome Holden MacKay frequents a BDSM club so he can escape for a while from his life in Blackwater Falls. He flirts and plays with all the Doms there to satisfy his masochist and submissive tendencies except for with sexy aloof Sloane McClain. Holden knows Sloane’s his mate now he just needs to convince him.

Sexy Dom and Deputy, Sloane McClain wants Holden MacKay but he doesn’t want to be just another Dom Holden plays with, so he acts casual as if he could care less about Holden. But when Holden is in trouble, Sloane comes to the rescue.

This book has a lot going on in it. From Hawke’s feud with Holden and the reason why, to him making his mate Jace mad at him. There are three grisly murders that happen only to Dom’s of the club Holden and Sloane frequent. The killer’s identity shocked me. Sloane tries his best to get Holden to be with him but Holden keeps running until he ends up getting seriously hurt by another Dom.The sex between Holden and Sloane was hot.

Great read with drama, mystery, and intense scenes.

Review: This is book eight in this series and they can be read as a standalone. However, they can also be read in order. It will give you a little insight into their world. A world that is amazing and a bit strange but very good. I love the way these men can just tell what the other one needs. Although the idea that they sell themselves is a bit hard to understand.

Joel is a sweet virgin but seems to want what comes from the BDSM scene. The bonding, binding, flogging, spankings and so much more. He was a photographer but he wanted what a master can give him. He sells himself for six months of no holds barred subbing. He just needs what a Dom can give him.

Brent takes one look at Joel and knows that only he can give Joel what he truly wants and needs. He soon finds out that he is also getting what he needs.

This is a cute little story and hopefully will soon become a longer story with more about Joel and Brent. I want to know more about them and where they are headed. I hope that they end up staying together because they are hot. The story captured my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it there all the way to the end. I can only say that these two men were hot and full of passion. In fact, it made my entire day heated up.

I would recommend reading this story especially if you love BDSM, two very sexy men, virgins learning about sex, excitement and a bit of suspense for Joel.

Tootsie’s Review♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts

The one consistent thing that keeps coming to mind is OH MY GOSH! This book has everything I could possibly want in a story. It is sectioned into three parts allowing you to meet each set of characters and focus on the situation at present. This set-up was new to me. However, it made the storyline flow smoothly from one to the next.

The first part was about Max, the gorgeous firefighter, and Angel, the club owner. They meet when the club has trouble and the fire department is called in. One look at each other from across the room causes sparks to fly. These two men are beautiful with their muscled bodies, six-packs, and tanned skin. They each have tattoos that represent something special in their life. Angel has hair down to his waist that he usually keeps braided, but it is thick and shiny and does something to Max when left down. Both, Angel and Max, want to find true love. They both are looking for happy ever after with a forever partner.

They find out quickly they both want the same things and it’s easy to see they are a perfect match. Their relationship takes off fast and I would consider it insta-love. So, if that is not your thing you have been warned, but I like this scenario in a story. They are very sincere and so passionate with each other.

Right from the beginning, Angel referred to Max as “his man,” and I fell in love with Angel myself. I really enjoy when an author shows the characters have passion and feelings and they are not afraid to express it. The reader is taken on a powerful journey where you really feel, at times, like an intruder. Their sex scenes and lovemaking are extremely hot and intense. The author is very good at putting you right there, in the scene, giving you a front row seat. You can see and feel what the characters are experiencing.

At times, I felt almost panicky, probably from holding my breath, as their sex scenes played out. They are so honest and open with their feelings for each other and even though it moved quickly, it didn’t take away from the story. I particularly enjoy a plot that allows the MC’s to own their feelings.

I’ve been known to get bored with a story that drags you along until close to the end for a resolution. I don’t like when the characters spend half the book in denial or running scared from each other. That is not the case here. They were beautiful together and I really enjoyed it.

The next section is about Max’s brother, Ryker, and his partner that he has a connection too. Sebastian/Bass works for Angel as his head security. So when Ryker comes to visit Max, he is also introduced to Bass. There is some BDSM in this section but it is very minor. It’s not really the focus of the story even though it is the focus of how their relationship will be. Bass is a Master Dom and Ryker has craved that type of connection and lifestyle for as long as he can remember. Bass has wanted a sub, someone who he could claim as his own, love forever, take care of and honour their relationship. They are perfect for each other, as they both want the same things.

The third part brings them all together living their lives and doing everyday things. This part has some angst and drama but it’s handled and resolved fairly quickly. Angel’s father is called in to help sort out the trouble, and he brings along his seal team for support and help.

A.E. Via has written a beautiful story, hitting on many details that I like to read. For me, it had every possible element I could want. It has humour and laughter. Tears of pain and tears of joy. We have beautiful people inside and out. There are fireman and navy seals. I mean, good grief, what else is better than that combination?

This is the first book the author has published, but since has added many more to her catalogue. IMO, being the first one, I think she done a wonderful job. There are a couple pretty amazing things that happen in the end that will have you smiling from ear to ear.

I recommend this to anyone who loves passion, great sex, laughter and every day, real life characters that will leave you breathless and wanting more.

Cat’s Review: ♥♥♥♥ 4 Hearts

Angel DeLucca is a hot, sexy successful bar owner.  He is tired of one offs and hook-ups. He wants to meet his one and only. A disgruntled hook-up pulls the fire alarm as he is being escorted out on a busy holiday night.   The moment the hot firefighter walks in Angel knows he is the one. The trouble is Max is straight.

Max is ready to settle down and find his soul mate. He is tired of failed relationships and can’t figure out why he isn’t happy with any women he has been with. Then by chance he meets Angel and his entire world is changed with a false alarm.

This is a really good story with some awesome characters. A.E Via can really do hot, sexy, intriguing men well.  In this book, we sort of have a collage of stories. The first part of the book we meet Angel and Max. This section is basically their meeting and getting together and I warn you it’s hot, sexy and sensual.

Then we get a bonus in part two with Max’s bother Ryder and Angel’s head of security and best friend Sebastian. Bass is a master Dom but he too is tired of looking for the perfect sub. After having his heart broken and the sub he that was his cheat he has remained celibate and out of the clubs until he finds his perfect sub.

In walks Ryder with Max, and Bass knows Ryder is his. But, does Ryder, tough take charge protector of max, know he is a sub?

As if all this isn’t enough in part three we get all of these relationships wrapped up in an explosive plot twist.

I will say for me the book started of slow and I was a bit unsure of all these love at first sight romances going on.  But I loved the characters and the interaction and struggle of them trying to work through their issues.  I would have liked a bit more of the bdsm scenes with Ryker and Bass. I thought they were smokin hot together. I loved the plot action and Angels Dad and crew. I would have loved to have seen this earlier in the book with a little more action. There were so many great men introduced near the end I am excited to see whose story is next! I can’t wait.

If you like sexy bar owners, firefighters, Dom/Sub relationships, secret agents and a twist. Oh don’t forget some sizzling hot man-sex! Someone bring out the hot firefighter!

Review: Jared awoke without memories of who he was or where he was, but his captor looked like a golden sight. Scared but also turned on from the things the captor did, Jared was led to a temple, chained to another prisoner, who had no memories. Their captor, who had no name, told them that the only way to fly their ship was with the essence of human’s.

The essence was in fact from orgasm’s that the humans have with each other. However this captor had ulterior motives, he wanted freedom. He knew that with the help of Admiral Jared and Commander Lore his people would be stopped. He knew that his death was coming, but what he didn’t know was Lore remembered everything after they were freed, and with his help, Jared would remember everything about the ship they were on also. He would remember what it felt like with Lore and their captor.

This book would have been really good if it had more details and a better story line to it. It needed to be a longer book or at least lead into a series. If it were turned into a series, then I would love to read it.

Blurb: Sometimes the little head really does know best.

Jeff White’s needs are simple. All he wants is a submissive to help him explore the dominant side that his ex-girlfriend couldn’t handle. Problem is, inexperience in both dating and domming has resulted in a string of rejections.

What he needs is an experienced sub willing to show him the ins and outs of controlling a scene. Unfortunately, the only one willing to take him on is male, and Jeff is straight. One hundred percent, never-gonna-happen straight.

Easygoing painslut Eddie Powell doesn’t care that Jeff is younger, working class, and shorter. Eddie likes a bit of rough, and Jeff fits the bill perfectly. The trick will be convincing him to follow Eddie’s five-step training program—which would be easy if Eddie wasn’t starting to have feelings for the rough-around-the-edges landscaper.

Once Jeff lays his hands on Eddie, things definitely get out of hand. But it’ll take more than hot, sweaty, kinky sex to persuade him to come out of the closet—especially to himself…

Review: Hot, sweet, fun and a bit of pain for both body and soul are dished up by Jeff as he’s trained my his male sub Eddie.
I’m not huge on the gay-for-you plots, but this is more bi-for you, and the main character does not stay oblivious for long. Jeff has had some obvious marital and relationship problems and just can’t seem to figure out why.

Eddie sees the hot piece of rough meat that Jeff is and wants a bit right away. He manages to plot and scheme his way into Jeff’s bed, on his knees as a sub to help Jeff with his “problems” and introduces him into the finer tuned aspects of being a good Dom.

Before long, Eddie sees deeper layers to Jeff, layers he finds he’s starting to love and want a real bond with. Jeff is getting more and more confused each day by the fact that his successes in learning to become a better Dom are with a guy. But he finds himself attracted to more than submissive behavior in Eddie, he enjoys their banter, their easy friendship, and yes, Eddies sexual response to him.

The closer they grow together, the more nervous Jeff gets about discovery, and also about accepting that he might just bit a bit gay (or a lot!!), and Eddie fears for his own heart.

Cant’ tell you much else without giving the drama away, but Five Easy Steps is a lot of sexual fun, and yet has plenty of “aww that’s sweet” moments in it. Some of the sexual scenes are a bit clinical feeling, but they are set up as lessons after all. Over all a good entertaining read with some fun British lingo.

Review: CAGED by Bey Deckard will leave you breathless and wondering what just happened. The first word that came to me when I finished this was simply WOW! I have no reservations in stating that this was one of the best books I have read this year. Being a reviewer, and overall lover of reading, I have read many this year already. Many that I have had a strong connection too. Caged is in a category of its own.

Bey Deckard is a new author, not only to me, but this is his first published novel. What a gift and talent this author possesses to write a novel of this calibre. The research he must have taken speaks highly of his devotion in capturing this story to the fullest. The details and descriptions in his novel are mind-boggling. The language transcribed is perfect for this setting and is staggering how quickly you will succumb to understand its meaning. A few authors come to mind when I think about being placed in the setting that I am reading. Bey has taken that to a new level.

Not only are you in the story witnessing the events, you are no longer present in your real life world. When you read CAGED for yourself be sure to have the time to give it the attention and dedication it demands from you. You will be doing a disservice to yourself if you don’t.

This is historical novel with pirates on the open sea. In addition, there is a sense of dark erotica always in the background waiting to make its move. I’ve read many posts where people say, “I don’t like historical, nor will I read it, ever.” To me, that is really sad that readers are not willing to open their imagination and give historical a try. How unfortunate they will never know the vast joy you will evoke from such a tale.

Yeah, some things are hard to understand. Some words are hard to translate, therefore, pulling you from the story. But if you give it a chance, I believe, you will soon be reading the words as if it is your own language. If you allow yourself to delve inside the story, the words will give you their meanings. Bey Deckard has created three, very intense, powerful, engaging, extremely sexy, intelligent, (hmm, looks as though I could go on and on) men who need each other more than they ever realize.

Jon, a young man is his early twenties, has spent his life under the dictation of his evil stepfather. After losing his mother, the only person to ever show him love, at the early age of four, Jon was never touched, hugged, nor loved by anyone, again. He has a special gift, probably the only thing that keeps his stepfather from ridding himself of Jon. He has the gift of empathy. He has always been curious to the actions and demeanour of others. He can watch someone, listen to them, mimic their behaviour, and tell if that person is lying or telling the truth. A gift his stepfather uses relentlessly against him by making him interview prisoners.

Jon’s stepfather is a lawman and he uses his power and position against Jon, daily. His whole life is about to change, unbeknownst to Jon, when he is kidnapped by a pirates and cast out into the open seas. Will he sink or swim? One look at the captain and Jon is overcome with feelings he doesn’t understand.

And the first mate, Tom, who has muscles galore and laughs at everything. But, why does he have whip marks covering his entire back? Jon doesn’t understand any of this, but soon he will. Pained by his traitorous thoughts and feelings yet to be explored, Jon will no longer be a boy of doubt but a man of fortitude and wisdom.

Captain Baltsaros and Tom are hard-headed, hard skinned, seasoned pirates who would kill you instantly and never bat an eye. These two have a lot of history together. A history they keep close to the vest and share very little of. Jon finds himself completely and whole-heartedly fascinated by both men.

He wonders what it would be like to participate in some of the late night encounters he hears from across the room. Sometimes he hears noises that sound as though they are in pain. Other times he is sure the sounds he hears are brought about by pleasure. It is very titillating for Jon as he lies quietly in the dark listening. To be a part of something, to be wanted, caressed and cherished are things he knows little about. Soon, very soon, he will know first-hand how it feels to be in the clutches of the Captain.

A position he realizes, very quickly, he wants. Being an empath, he knows he can’t trust either one. That doesn’t deter him when he finds himself under the hands and strokes of the Captain and his first mate. Jon is enthralled by both men, captivated by their strength and honed bodies. How far will he go in order to please the Captain?

Tom was a prisoner and subjected to pain and torment for many years. Rescued by the Captain and now his first mate, Tom still has nightmares and an evil streak that has no conscience. There will be times, as you read, that Tom’s pain is so poignant and gut wrenching that you may stumble through this journey.

He is at his most beautiful when he exposes his inner self to the Captain and his pleasures. You will be a witness to his turmoil, his volatile behaviour, but you quickly find yourself drawn to this man who carries so much pain and he wears the proof on his back. You will be a cheerleader for Tom hoping against hope that he can find his happy ever after. His laugh is contagious and even though is heart is damaged he carries his wants and desires like an open book.

Captain Baltsaros is an evil man to anyone who cares to look. But beyond his tough exterior, is a man who loves passionately. By way of light touches and forceful kisses, he enraptures his captive and forms a bond that scares him to his core. Their journey across the wild and open seas will have you captivated and entrenched in their world so deeply. The ending is upon you before you are ready. There is always an undercurrent that will have your own emotions brought to the forefront of this story.

Never knowing from one minute to the next what is in store for the ship and crew will have you on the edge of your seat. The secrets that have been long hidden will come out and play. As each secret is exposed your own sensibilities will keep throwing you back into confusion realizing things are never as they appear.

Bey Deckard has written a long and eventful novel that will bring you to your knees as you uncover secret after secret. You will feel exposed and vulnerable as you sit back and witness the pain and turmoil these amazing characters incur. The author has used many vivid descriptions that will drawl you in and hold you hostage, as well, as you travel across the sea. You will experience their turmoil as your own feelings ricochet from one character to the next.

This story is alive and the emotions so palpable that you will have just cause to take a break or two as you live through them. The sex between the three men is oftentimes dangerous and rough. The pleasure experienced, however, will leave you with a magnitude of feelings you have to rationalize for yourself. The character growth that the MC’s go through will leave you astonished. The crew members aboard the ship are like a beating heart that keeps it going strong. Being under duress will only strengthen the crew and you will see them at their finest.

I consider Bey Deckard a masterful storyteller who has given us words on a page that will forever be embedded in my heart. Coming soon is the sequel to Caged, titled Sacrificed, which has left me with jitters and nervous energy contemplating its content. This is not JUST a historical, not JUST a story of pirates and a crew. This is a masterpiece brought about by men with so much wisdom and experience and so much passion that the open seas is the only place large enough to let it breathe and unfold.

Regardless, the open sea has nothing on the turbulent feelings you will encounter. Amazing, amazing story that deserves an audience to celebrate, in my opinion, an award-winning debut. Kudos to Bey Deckard and his incredible gift of the written word, and for so graciously sharing it with us.

Review: This is a perfect second installment in the Special Delivery Series! I absolutely fell for Randy in Special Delivery and knew that spitfire of a man needed his HEA, I just wasn’t sure how, or who would pull that amazing feat off. Double Blind lets us get to know Randy in a different way, and for a while apart from Sam and Mitch. But don’t worry. This just wouldn’t work without the lovely newly married couple and a fun foursome!

Randy shows his submissive, yet assertive side, his hostess skills, and his heart in this sexy story. He takes a risk on a defeated heart, by laying out all his cards for Ethan Ellison. Ethan is the perfect angry, wounded man, in need of a wake-me-up experience and Randy surely gives it to him in the form of risky business and hi-octane sex.

As Randy teaches Ethan the skills he employs in his night job, that of card shark, he begins to see the strength in him come shining through. Problem is Ethan doesn’t trust, not the people he works for, not the stability of the job, and not that he would have a future with Randy. Thanks to some of Randy’s close and critically important friends, Sam and Mitch, Ethan begins to loosen up, see what a home could be, and trust.

While Ethan is regaining his confidence, Randy begins to worry he’s gotten too big for his britches and may get into deep trouble with the casino and the retired gangster he initially sought out for help. But when all seems to be tumbling down around them both, Sam, Mitch and the rest of the gang come together to lay it all down and gamble on a new future. Will it work, or will all be lost? You’ll just have to read and find out.

This book is fun, fast paced, hot and kinky, yet soft and sweet as a baby kitten. Hearts are broken and mended, and lives are saved and rebuilt! This whole series is a winner in my book!

Blurb: Thirty-seven-year old fitness fanatic and gym owner John Moorcroft has always known he was gay, and he has always had a problem admitting it, even to himself. The first thing John does is to try to find out what happened to his mother who disappeared when he was four years old. Roslyn recommends Sky Cook Investigations to help him. The first time John meets Sky he finds himself extremely attracted to the man’s bear-like physique and eager to please manner.

Sky Cook, thirty-six years old, is sweet, mild-mannered and desperately in need of a health regime. He knows he needs to lose weight but is thwarted by issues from his childhood. Review: I was skeptical about reading a book that flowed around the issue of eating disorder/weight management, but this book really surprised me and hit a much deeper note. The issues John tangles with are mistrust and hiding from himself, which his ex manages to find a perfectly good solution for…Sky Cook.

Sky is happy to avoid hard truths, and his own past. The issues of his eating are much deeper than we expect and the author does an excellent job at examining the psychological and physical reasons behind over eating or binge eating in Sky’s case.

The BDSM elements seem to be a perfect fit in this situation, because Sky needs discipline and safe controls, and John needs to be able to control something if not his own love life.
So many interesting twists and turns in this plot. There’s the mystery of John’s mother, and Sky’s past, the D/s scenes, and the obvious attraction the two have for each other.

I don’t want to give away big reveals because this book grabbed my attention and held it through as each secret was unveiled. Well written, this book moves along at a steady clip with a unique plot and very intense scenes. The Skinny On Love really evoked may reactions in me; I bit my nails, I wanted to grab a snack, I wanted to cry, I wanted to go run a few miles, I wanted to throttle both MCs at different points, and I certainly enjoyed the steamy scenes.

Very hot, very surprising, this book really impressed me!

Blurb: Zus took one look at the brown-haired beauty that walked into the bar with his friends and knew that he had found the perfect submissive. He just wasn’t sure the sexy little man was ready for his dominant brand of mating. Being in control was second nature to him and he wasn’t about to change that for Rue, even if the man was his forever mate.

Rue Tasquer had just about given up hope that he would find the perfect man to dominate him until he found a set of deep, piercing green eyes staring at him from across a bar. As eager as he is to find someone to accept him—kink and all—Rue quickly gives into the man’s demands and follows him for what turns out to be the beginning of something that will either make Rue the happiest man alive or send him running for his life.

Review: This is part of a series and they need to be read in order.

Each story right now seem to be based on the four brothers of the pride. They are tiger shifters, all four are alphas and are stronger with their mates. When you start reading this series you will learn about each character and the way they live their lives. It is a world that I can’t help but wish I was living in.

Zus and his brothers are just hanging out at the bar, when four very sexy men come walking in. He has found his forever mate. Now all he had to do is convince Rue.

Rue is a true submissive and has always dreamed of a love that included a master. The only problem was Zus didn’t want to be called master. It starts off with him afraid that he would never have the relationship that he truly wanted but it didn’t take Zus long to convince him. Zus loved the fact that Rue was in to the same thing he was. When trouble comes, it is Rue that saves Zus from injury and death. It would seem Rue is a danger among others, cause boy can he wield those knives of his.

The mates turn out to be extremely feisty, quirky and have an attitude that will keep the tigers on their toes. They are just as protective as their alphas. I loved this book, just as much as the series. It has such wonderful character that will have you falling in love. I love the way they are so protective and loving, the fact that the men are sexy, and the way Rue and his friends keep them guessing all the time.
This story will give you sexy men, feisty mates, quirky attitudes, excitement, adventure and danger. They will do everything in their power to keep their pride happy, content and safe.

I would recommend reading this story. It will give you everything you could want and everything you could need. It caught my attention from the first word in the book and kept it all the way to the end. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book. Stormy is one of my top favorite authors and she will always give you what you need.
