Blurb: Sam Turner is still getting used to the fact that werewolves exist, and he’s not sure he likes it. When Alain Lake, a man who has been making eyes at him more than Sam is comfortable with, is forced to subdue him, he’s pissed off. The whole thing scared the hell out of him, even if Alain had a good reason, being a stupidly strong, gorgeous werewolf and all.

But Alain, though he might be a werewolf, has all the desires and needs of a man, and he makes them known again and again, apologizing for dragging Sam into this whole mess, and then pressing him up against the wall and kissing him senseless. Sam, despite thinking of himself as being a girl-liking guy, cannot deny how good that kiss felt, but he’s not ready.

That’s all right, because Alain is willing to fight for what’s his, and defend his mate from those who would do him harm.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

Poor Sam, learning about the werewolves the way he did sure knocked him through a loop. He is still trying to come to turns with it all. However there is the issue of Alain who keeps coming onto Sam. The biggest problem for Sam about that is he is straight, or so he thought.

This book was pretty funny in how Sam had to come to terms with the fact that he was in fact attracted to Alain. He is annoyed and yet turned on, and so confused. I liked how Alain wore him down.
It’s not until something happens that finally Sam faces the facts and accepts Alain and all that entails. Then things turn downright hot and sexy between the two of them.

I am enjoying this series. It is nothing really new, but they are fun and sexy reads. And that is what I am looking for from them. So these books are delivering.

I got to love how Macy Jacks keeps ending each book in the series on a cliffhanger. Because really it just makes me want to find out what will happen next.

In Sparks Fly, when Riley and Rocket butt heads, the fireworks aren’t confined to the nighttime sky.

Review: Since these are two separate stories I have going to rate them as such.

Sparks Fly ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts:
This was a cute little tale. I am a sucker for friends to lovers’ stories. Considering it was only about 25 pages it did well giving a background story and tying in the current happenings. But it was not really long enough to give a good flushing out of the characters and their personalities.

Everything happened a bit too fast for me to truly get into the story. I was left with a general feeling of satisfaction. I think if it was longer it would have rated higher and given me more time to appreciate the characters and their relationship.

Hurricane Season ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts:
This was also a cute little story. It also seemed to be a little more flushed out, out least in the case of Aiden. David was more of a mystery as not much is explained about him,

Two men thrown together by a hurricane and finding something special, I can buy that. But as it was so short the ending left me needing to look past the impossibility of there being a happily ever after right away. These men did not know each other until a chance encounter on the beach right before the storm hit. So the whole idea felt a little off to me.

Overall both stories are well written and fast paced. But I feel if they were longer they would have been much more enjoyable reads.

Review: This book is the combination of four short stories that were originally part of a series called A Forever Family published in 2008 and 2009 from what I could find out. Although I am not going to review it that way. Because honestly they flowed very well as one book.

I liked the story of Josh and Brett. They are both parents of two adorable little children. They meet when dropping their children off for the first day of school. From there they develop a friendship over coffee and children play dates. Until finally they both admit how they feel for each other and take it to the next level.

There was a nice pace to their relationship. Nothing was rushed. They Fall in love with each other as they deal with the everyday stuff, as well as homophobia, and family troubles. Together they form a tight-knit family unit.

Good enjoyable read.

Review: I do so like seeing the cruel and abusive prick villain of a book get his ass kicked by the good guy hero. Jake totally stepped up his game in this book. Not only does he have to deal with more weirdness as his omega mate Morgan tells him that he is pregnant, but there are bigger things to come for him.

The physical changes a male werewolf goes through to give birth was actually pretty interesting and a new take on M-Preg I don’t think I have run across before. And actually it was one of the less scary ones too.

There was a pretty good pacing throughout the story. It actually happens over a good amount of time and it made sense between the short time jumps. The sex of course was nicely done and descriptive enough without going into porn territory.

I really like Jake and Morgan as a couple. Jake may be human, but he is definitely an alpha. Morgan is still getting used being out from under his uncle’s abusive hands, well mostly. But with Jake’s love and support, Mogan has really started to lose some of his insecurities.

Overall a good story and a very happy ending for Jake and Morgan.

I am really hoping Alain and Sam’s book is next. What I have read so far about them has been intrigued.

Review: The world as we know it has been turned into a dystopian due to a man-made virus that killed two-thirds of the world population, including livestock. After the collapse of the world many things that were only myths have risen and now cause issues for the left over population.

Vincent and his brother Warren have been prisoner of vampire clan Draco. They were captured and the rest of their family killed. Unbeknownst to them they are being used as an experiment by the vampires. To what end is not yet explained.

Mason and his brothers have been hunting vampires for years. His older brother captures Vincent and brings him back in hopes of getting information on the Draco clan. He then plans to kill Vincent. However Mason and Vincent are drawn to each other and start to form a bond.

The way they jump into sex and are declaring their love after only knowing each other two days or less made gave me a bit of whiplash. It was bam, sex, bam instant love. Although I will grant that the sex was decently done. However some of the dialogue left much to be desired. Things like “Vincent was bringing out the sex god in him!” were a bit much for me.

The book ends abruptly and leaves many unresolved issues. Not everything is explained fully and I feel like there are holes in the plot. I am not sure if that was done on purpose and will later be filled in or what.

I am hesitantly giving this a three heart rating since I have never read the author before. I think the theme and overall storyline are interesting enough and I will see what happens in the next book.

who meet by chance and find something special with each other. Only to be pulled apart due to their conflicting responsibilities.

The writing was top-notch and evenly paced for such as short story. Neither man is expecting what happens between them. But neither do they fight how they feel.

They show their honor and bravery. Each is willing to follow and face their destiny, instead of running away from it even knowing they may never see each other again.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

The book opens up with Toby and Damon still happy and in love with each other. Toby has finally received the approval of his doctor to start sculpting again. Leaving Damon a little worried that Toby will overdo it.

Damon is still pushing Toby’s limits every chance he gets, and Toby is certainly enjoying it. One thing you can count on with Sean Michael, the sex will be damn hot. And this was no different. The sex was off the wall in the hot factor. And there was a hell of a lot of it.

I do like and enjoy both men. They are really adorable, and absolutely steaming sexy together. I enjoy the way Damon is bringing Toby out of his self-imposed shell. Toby still gets embarrassed by certain things, but his world is definitely opening up.

Toby is simply cute. There is no other way to descriptive him. He is innocent, shy, sweet, and yet there is sensuality to him. When he lets go and submits totally to Damon he is truly free.
Damon is everything loving a Dom should be. He takes care of Toby, not only sexually. But also mentally and physically. He tries not to allow Toby to push himself too much while he is still recovering. He also holds onto Toby when he spirals after another visit by the mysterious attacker.

The only issue I have is the fact that the issue of whoever is causing trouble for Toby and Damon is being dragged out. Once again the person strikes, and at the end there is no resolution or clue who is doing it. I find that a bit annoying.

Overall, this was a very sexy read, with some nice tender moments. I look forward to reading more about these two.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. This series also coincides with events happening in the Paranormal Wars: Stone Haven series.

This book has become my new favorite in the Paranormal Wars world. From the minute I started reading I could not put it down.

Anemone has been in hell for the past eighty years. Drugged, beaten, raped, and forced to harm the environment for selfish people’s wants. All his has are the fantasies he creates to take himself away from his hell. His favorite is the one about a cat shifter who comes and takes him away from all his has to endure.

One day the fantasies become the reality.

I loved Hunter. He is the team’s assassin, and was trained from a young age by his sadistic parents to show no emotion. He has lived that way since. That all changes when he rescues Anemone, his mate. I loved how he went out of his way to make Anemone comfortable. Serious cute factors in the things he does for Anemone.

When the two finally consummate their mating, wow, just so loving and sweet and tender. Hunter really takes into consideration all that Anemone has been through. Hunter does all he can to never make Anemone feel threatened or scared about their sexual relationship.

I really enjoyed the slow burn this two had. Anemone is definitely suffering from PTSD, and Hunter completely understands it. The sweet little things does for Anemone, loved them, especially the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reference.

The best is when the chips are down, and Anemone takes back himself and fights back any way he can. This boy can do some damage and I cheered him on for it. Hunter was not bad either.
I simply loved this story. It was touching, sweet, loving, and sexy. Shea Balik really out did herself on this one.

Review: This book was sexually hot, sensual, and wacky at times. It was also enjoyable read. It was also a little different from what I was expecting. Which is a good thing. I found myself laughing as much as fanning myself. Just leave your expectations of realism at the cover.

I loved Topaz. He is just free in all the good ways in life. He it like this little bundle of happiness and just damn adorable. Quincy is the opposite in so many ways, but he gets drawn into Topaz’s life and they fall in love.

However there is the issue of Leo and Stephan who are also Topaz’s best friends and have been his lovers for years. I actually liked both men too. They were a couple, but included Topaz in their lives and loved him.

This is mostly a happy telling of how two separate couples finding a way to make room in their hearts and beds for the other couple.

The dynamics are interesting, very sweet, and mushy cute.

Really this book is great for a light pick me up type read with a good amount of spice added.

Blurb: Elves are from Venus, wolf shifters from Mars. Vampires come from Saturn, humans live on Earth…and one man is king of them all…he just doesn’t know it yet.

Nicolas Callon had no idea that his life was going to change the day he turned twenty-five. He had simply been hoping to spend a little time with his best friend and secret crush Cooper Walsh. But nothing turns out like he had hoped. From interfering ex-girlfriends to aliens from outer-space, Nicky’s day just goes to hell.

The one bright spot is Cooper and the passionate interlude they share mere moments before Nicky’s life turns upside down. As he whisked away to parts unknown, it might be all Nicky has to keep himself sane, because being told he’s king of the galaxy pales in comparison to watching the man he loves get shot before his very eyes.

If Nicky can find a way back to earth, he might have a chance of making his birthday wish come true. If not, then everything he has gained as king will be meaningless.

Review: I read the blurb when the book first went up for pre-order on the website and I knew I had to have it. Holy shit this was so worth a read. Both main characters, Nicky and Cooper, are interesting men. Right from the start they pulled me into their story with each other.

Nicky is as he puts it a “certified klutz”. He can and does trip over air. For the past twenty years he has been best friends with Cooper, ever since Cooper saved him in the sandbox at the age of five. Cooper is Nicky’s projector, and he does anything in his power to make Nicky happy.

Cooper makes sure Nicky gets out in the world and doesn’t stay locked away working on his art. Nicky has always loved and wanted Cooper since he was a teenager, but was always afraid to let Cooper know for fear he would lose Cooper.

Cooper has made Nicky his number one priority in life. Nothing gets in the way of that. I may not agree with how Cooper wasted the time until he decided Nicky was ready to be his forever. But I did like the man and the way he felt towards Nicky. Nicky is literally his world and Cooper would do anything for him.

And then things went into Space Opera type mode. Nicky gets kidnapped by aliens and learns he is not even human. In fact he is the now the king of the whole freaking galaxy. Not that Nicky knows that at first, since the one in charge is an ass and abuses Nicky on the way to his original homeworld.

There is so much going on with this story. There is the budding romantic relationship of Nicky and Cooper. Then there is the whole king thing. There are also unanswered questions and situations that I look forward to getting more information on.

This book is so different and exciting and just fun to read. It has great characters, hot sex, action, and adventure. It sure as hell caught and held my attention.

It is billed as a trilogy so I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Blurb: Wyatt Klaegar was tired of trying to keep the peace between his friends’ constant bickering and childish antics. The older he got, the less he found humor in their jokes, wishing they would just take life more seriously.

Basil Riddick had little joy in his life while growing up, yet he still managed to find a way to laugh. From the time he was little, he was pushed by his parents into being the best, including graduating at the age of eighteen with a medical degree. When he finally got away from his domineering parents, Basil swore to have as much fun as possible. Too bad when he found his mate, the man wouldn’t know fun if it had hit him in the head.

As the saying goes, opposites attract, and Wyatt was pretty sure Basil was his complete opposite when it came to being mature. But Basil was determined to show Wyatt how to lighten up and laugh.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. This series also coincides with events happening in the Paranormal Wars: Stone Haven series.

Basil is bored, so when offered the chance to move to the Latin Territory to be the Alpha and inner circles doctor he jumps at the chance. When he gets there he meets his mate Wyatt.

Wyatt is termed as the big brother to his team, as he is a year older than all of them. Also he was the oldest of six siblings and was charged with helping to take care of them when he was younger. Now he is constantly having to mediate between his team members.

Really everything boils down to Wyatt being a stuck in the mad and Basil liking to have fun and laugh. Their two points of view do conflict through a good part of the book. Wyatt wants Basil to be more mature. While Basil wants Wyatt to have more fun and laugh more.

I loved Basil and understood his desire to enjoy life to the fullest. He is able to not only help Wyatt but also the whole team. Wyatt was a bit of a douche for part of the book. But I could also see where he was coming from. The stress the team has been under since they landed in the Latin Territory has been high. Luckily Basil came to the rescue and helped them all out.

I enjoyed this book. There were a good amount of light scenes to balance out the serious ones. The sex was pretty damn hot too. These two are perfect for each other in that regard definitely.

This was a good solid addition to the world the author has created.

Review: Over twenty years since these two men were one best

There’s something to be said for maturity and experience, whether it’s a second chance at love, a May/December romance, or finding a soul mate later in life. These stories prove that it’s never too late for new love.

friends and short-term lovers. They have each moved on with their lives, had long term relationships with others, but they have never forgotten each other. When they meet on the same train one day they slowly start to get to know each other again.

In my experience Andrew Grey always gives a well written book, and this was no different. The characters are easy to relate to. Trenton and Brit have lived a life time apart and need to find a way to fit into each other’s lives together. They have both lost people they loved and have some leftover emotions that caused a bit of angst.

This was a good, light, enjoyable read.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. Also this is a spin-off of the Blaecleah Brothers series and takes place in the same town with characters from that series showing up.

Hank has been betrayed before by a lover. So when given reason to doubt Sammy he does, immediately. But once he learns the truth he goes after his man for all he is worth.

Sammy has also been betrayed. But he is more trusting. Is issue is that what Hank does leaves him feeling insecure and he gets dragged into his crazy ass family’s drama. By doing that he almost loses his freedom. Luckily he does come to his senses and gets away from them.

These two men are smoking hot together and burn up in the sex scenes. Outside of them, they are just plain sweet as hell.

Seriously, I got a sugar rush.

Really the whole concept of what happens it a bit crazy and most likely would not happen. But either way I enjoyed the wacky ride. Both of these men have been hurt before and have reason to mistrust. Still they manage to finally communicate and make it work. I love a happy ending, and this definitely was that.

I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series.

Review: I simply loved this little short. Totally sweet and cute.

There is no other way to describe it.

Stephen is an older gentleman who has recently been thrown away by his partner for a younger model. His former partner walked out and even took their friends with him. Leaving Stephen with an old house that is slowly falling apart.

In walked Jordan a young man working for his family business. He helps Stephen out and even offers comfort with a simple hug. The best thing of all is that Stephen gets adopted by Jordan’s family.

There is no over the top romance or sex in this tale. Just two men slowly falling in love with each other. They find something in the other both needed and take their time. I love the ending, just perfect.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. Also this is a spin-off of the Blaecleah Brothers series and takes place in the same town with characters from that series showing up.

Jonny has been living in Cade Creek for a year now with his siblings, after finally getting away from their abusive stepfather. For that past year he has been falling in love with Russ. When Russ rejects him again, Jonny finally makes the decision to move to town and become the roommate of a friend. Russ likes things a bit rough in the bedroom. He believes that Jonny, after his years of abuse, would not be interested in that kind of life.

The writing was great and there was a good flow to the story. The sex was a little bit kinky and hot. Something I have come to expect from Stormy Glenn. So there everything was spot on and did not disappoint.

However I never really got invested in their relationship. Both Jonny and Russ fell a little flat for me. These two never communicated with each other from the start. They both made assumptions instead of talking things out. It all leads to several misunderstandings and hurt feelings. It takes an outside force trying to cause trouble that makes them finally face up to each other.

So overall I enjoyed it to a degree, but it was definitely missing something to really draw me into the story. Neither character had whatever missing quality to make me root for their happily ever after. And I honestly miss that. I think without it this a just a well written book with a lack of emotional pull in my opinion.

Review: Fin is working at a dance club for owner Mike. For the best several years Fin’s former boyfriend has been showing up and harassing him. Unbeknownst to Fin, his ex Kyle is a lot more dangerous than he ever released.

For such a little short story this gave a good deal of detail. It was well paced for as short as it was and things happened in a way that made sort of logical sense. I think if it was a little longer it would have been better.

However, it was still a good fast read. The sex was hot and the storyline was interesting.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

I enjoyed the relative slowness of Dax and Colt’s mating. Because Dax has been in captivity for so long he never has been taught about mates, let alone dating. Colt is usually not a dater at all. But together they feel something drawing them together. They take their time getting to know each other and fall in love.

All that was great. It was the “something unexpected” part that ruined what would have been a good solid book for me. Without giving spoilers it’s hard to explain. But suffice to say that it boggled my mind. I actually was reading and thinking is it even in the realm of possible.

I love my paranormal, and I like the weird and unusual. However, I don’t like it when it makes me question the possibility. There has to be something, some switch, which allows me to suspend all rational logic and just go with the impossible. This just did not have it for me.

So… I very much enjoyed the romance and relationship between Dax and Colt. They were both cute and sweet. The writing was solid and had good pacing. But that little extra nugget added something the book did not need in my opinion.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
After all the heartache and pain Sebastian and Gavin had from the last book they deserve a happy ending. And this book definitely gives them that.

But it takes some work on both their sides to make it a happy ending. Sebastian is deeply scared mentally by what happened to him by his brother and former best friend. He is not completely healed and when he starts to carry another egg, that really shows through. He winds up risking himself and the eggs health, before he finally admits what’s truly wrong to Gavin.

I liked how Gavin come up with a game plan involving Sebastian and his medical doctors to help him through it. Once he learned the truth, he understood completely and found ways to help Sebastian and try to elevate his fears.

Damn these two are super-hot together. Really steamy in the sack, against a wall, or wherever. There was no real BDSM themes in this book. Just some minor bondage and kinky toys.

This was a nice read. A little heavy on the angst. But when you think about it Sebastian has really been through a hell of a lot and kind of earned a little freak out time. Gavin was his normal awesome caring loving mate self. He saw to Sebastian’s needs anyway he could.

Good addition to the first book in the series.
